The Dark Entity (Being Re-written)
Chapter 4: "I am human will."
Previous Chapter Next ChapterCelestia awoke to Luna's knocking.
*KNOCK* KNOCK* KNOCK* "Tia? It's almost time to raise the sun. Want me to come back later?"
Celestia struggled out of bed, feeling the effects of 'wanting to sleep more'.
"N-no, I'm coming. We should wake up Remorel too." Celestia said with closed eyes.
She struggled to move, she hasn't slept like that in a long while. But it felt good to finally get some sort of sleep.
"Of course sister, and I already started breakfast."
That took Celestia by surprise.
"You made breakfast? What about the staff?"
"I wanted to make something special for us and Remorel. I told the staff I wanted to make something of my own creation."
Celestia paused and smiled. 'Oh how can I miss this opportunity?'
"You said us and Remorel right? What did you make him?"
"Well, I noticed he had some carnivore teeth. Well..at least when his face was visible. So I made him some pancakes with bacon inside."
Bacon? When did she learn to make bacon?
"That sounds great, for a carnivore at least. And I'm surprised you made a very specific ingredient. When did you ask him?"
"I asked him when we first met, I asked what his diet was. He said he can eat anything but he preferred meat since it was more appealing to him."
Celestia's smile widened.
"So you made something special for him. I got to ask, do you like him?"
Celestia could actually feel the blush on Luna.
"N-no! I just wanted to make him feel like a special guest! Isn't that what a host does?"
"Ok, ok Lulu. I was just teasing. But anyway, what did you make us?"
Celestia could've sworn she heard Luna chuckle.
"I made some chocolate pancakes for us~" She said in a sing song voice.
"Chocolate? Luna, you know my diet..."
"Oh come on, its been so long since I made something for you. Can you at least try some for once?"
She was right, its been so long since she has made something for Celestia, and she could let an exception for sweets this once...
"Ok, we should go wake up Remorel and then we can go eat."
Luna smiled and was the fist to Remorel's door. She waited for Celestia to catch up.
When Celestia did make it, she was about to raise her hoof to knock when she heard a noise coming from the other side of the door.
*SNORT*
Celestia and Luna giggled a little as Celestia knocked on the door.
There was a surprised snort and a thud. Then Remorel spoke.
"Uh...who is it?" He called.
"Its us. Its time to get up, and breakfast is ready." Luna said through the door.
"Huh? Oh right! Sorry I forgot." Remorel rushed to the door and opened it.
He was wearing the same armor like yesterday. But both Celestia and Luna had to admit, it did look good on him.
"Are we ready?" Celestia asked.
"I'm pretty sure." Remorel said calmly, not sounding tired at all.
"Alright, lets go eat."
[Dinning room]
Remorel was the first to finish his plate, Celestia and Luna only finishing a little over half there meals.
There was a question really itching at Celestia, but she didn't want to upset Remorel in any way.
'I don't want to, but its killing me.'
"Remorel, you said a human said something to Selina, what was exactly this human said that may have set her off?"
Remorel stopped moving. Then put a boney hand on his hidden chin.
"It was so long ago, but I remember clear as day. You may want to sit back for this one."
[Flashback]
'Another council meeting? They are becoming so frequent. The human kingdom that now resides alongside the Light legion have gotten more...aggressive. I should ask why.'
Remorel walked the almost invisible stairway of the last human kingdom. The guards were quick to get out of his way.
As he walked he could hear the humans technology at work, radio broadcast and the annoying buzz of electricity in the lamps.
'Humans sure have lost a lot in their third world war. Hell, the population is only 700,000 thousand strong, but strong they are.'
Remorel almost missed the same turn that seemed to be a daily thing every time he comes to the humans castle.
And speak of the devil, there it was standing tall and proud.
'A grand castle it is, after the deal between the last remaining humans and the Light legion, the humans must have been able to make a castle last for an eternity. I still see no point in it, but if its what makes the humans happy for there last remaining days on this earth, I guess I'm fine with it.'
Remorel climbed the stone steppes to the iron gates. The guards, again, moved out of his way.
The gates opened and revealed a red carpet floor with both legions symbols, and a third symbol for the human kingdoms.
Remorel walked along the red carpet towards the 'negotiation room'.
As Remorel walked, he noticed some Light legion guards looking at him with looks he never received before, looks of disgust.
'Did I do something wrong?' Remorel thought.
He ignored the looks of disgust and moved along.
He could hear voices, which means there about to start.
He opened the door and silence filled the room.
The human king, Dunmer Eisenhower, stopped his speech and looked at Remorel. His face full of fear and disgust.
'Seriously, what happened?'
Remorel took a seat, opposite of Selina.
Dunmer cleared his throat.
"As I was saying, the souls of the dead humans have increased in the "Hell" category. Witch shouldn't be possible considering that the amount of humans that died should be going to "Heaven", at least that's what High Limbo wanted. And now since Remorel is here, I would like to ask where the souls are going?"
Dunmer pointed to three glowing rods, one for heaven, one for hell, and one fore how much souls are left to be judged.
Heaven had the most, but hell had more than what should actually be accounted.
Remorel paused, he doesn't remember sending any souls to hell recently, only a few thousand out of the billions of human souls should have gone to hell. But over two million? How?
"I'm sorry Dunmer, but I haven't sent a soul to hell in over two months. Selina was the only one sending them somewhere, and she only has the power to send them to heaven. I have the power to send them to hell, but I judge them properly, if I did it unethically we wouldn't be here right now."
Dunmer's brows furrowed.
"See, that's the point, you only have that power. Which means you are sending more souls to hell than what's allowed. "
Remorel tried to stay calm.
"Dunmer, you can even ask Selina, I haven't been called for sending souls to hell for a while."
Dunmer looked over to Selina.
"Is this true?"
Selina paused, looking deep in thought.
Selina was always hotheaded, even before her title as the god of Life. But when she needs to think, she dose so for a reason.
"I'm sorry Dunmer. I don't remember summoning Remorel for anything. He usually stays in his castle and decides what souls need to be punished or not. He's been doing that for over 6,578,943 years, and he doesn't want to change that. Its just how it works."
Dunmer put a hand on his chin, planning on what to say next.
"Fine then. This meeting is over. You may leave."
'Already? That was quick.'
Remorel and Selina got up from there seats and left the negotiation room.
Dunmer sat down, a hand on his head.
"Sire. Would you like some tea?" One of Dunmer's staff asked.
"No. Bring me...a parchment and ink please."
[End flashback]
"At the time I didn't think he was an issue, Dunmer was always true to his word. At previous meetings he said he wouldn't betray his kind. He wanted the last remaining humans to have a great final life before they went extinct. At least, that was then. This is now."
Celestia took it upon herself to ask the question.
"Do you...do you think it was him who told the lie?"
"Oh I knew it was him, but Selina didn't believe me. Heaven and Humanity were always close. They didn't want to shatter that bond, but Selina thought I was betraying the terms of the "deal" like I said earlier. And I wanted more souls to be punished. But, to this day, I still don't know what Dunmer said to set her off. Thinking I made a wrong move."
Remorel sat back and let his wings spread.
"All I want is closure, I don't care if all the souls are going to the Light at this point. I just want to know what he said...."
Celestia mentally took notes.
'He's not evil. That I know now. He was wrongly accused for doing his job it seems, no, he was a scapegoat. I just hope he can make do living among us for now.'
"Well, enough of this chit-chat! We should show Remorel around the castle and finally introduce him to some staff. Don't you think the earlier the better Tia?" Luna said as she looked at Celestia.
Celestia still didn't fully trust him, but her sister was right. If he's going to be able to roam, he needs to get used to the ponies, as is the reverse.
"Alright Lulu, lets go introduce him to some ponies."
Luna instantly smiled big. Remorel still didn't know why it was a big deal to Luna, but as long as she was happy with it, he should be safe...right?
[Back on the now Liberated Earth.]
Dunmer was pacing back and forth in his room, he wasn't expecting Remorel to be banished. He wanted him dead. And he fears Selina will know soon.
He walked into his closet, and pressed against the wall. The wall fell back and revealed a staircase that led downward in a spiral.
Dunmer walked down the dimly lit staircase. Occasionally feeling the walls in case he was about to trip.
When he reached the bottom, there was a keypad. He typed in a series of numbers and the steel door opened.
What revealed to Dunmer, was his newfound power. Two glass cups filled with some kind of essence, one was pure white, while the other was blacker than the void. Each letting off a soft golden glow.
"That magic drainage spell on her spear was very effective..." He said before chuckling.
"Now, Its time to end Remorel, The God of Death, permanently."
He took both glass cups and drank them one at a time.
Dunmer's eyes shifted from red, to green, then blue before finally ending on purple. His hands were now replaced by claws and his teeth were sharper and a distinct set of fangs appeared. His back arched a little as two black wings came from it, both looking a cross between rotten and fresh from birth. He grew past Remorel's height of seven feet to nine feet. And speaking of feet, they were replaced with what looks like raptor claws. His body was very bulky and looked blue.
"I am human will...humanity will never fall...." A distorted, deep voice came out of Dunmer's mouth before he chanted a word and disappeared. Leaving a mist of magical residue behind.
Next Chapter: Regaining Power. Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 25 MinutesAuthor's Notes:
Well looks like Selina is going to have a problem. And like I said before, more of the past will reveal itself to you, but not every chapter. It'll just get repetitive. And besides, who doesn't like shenanigans?
