The Dark Entity (Being Re-written)

by Raven Nevermore

Here's the picture: Life fights Death, Life forces Death away, Death makes freinds with ponies, said ponies help him fight big meanie human, said human wants to kill everything for power and to avenge his family.

Death is on his last ropes, while the armies of Heaven march on his doorstep. The last of his forces have already succumbed to the light, forever casting shadows aside.

But what if Fate gave Death another chance? And that chance was in the form of a magical land of adorable, sometimes annoying, pastel colored horses.

Darkness Has Fallen. (2.0)

Date: September 13, 2156.

Chaos.

That's all there is out there. Chaos. The Light Legion and my Dark Legion at war from just somebody lying about my plans.
All I wanted was peace, that's it, just peace. But everything that sees me instantly thinks I'm evil, all because I claimed the title of Death.

The sad part is, I'm losing this war. I never wanted war, so I never prepared for it. My army is only 4,000 strong...the Light legion has over 50,000. And they're getting stronger by the day. They're at my doorstep now, my castle is being burned at the very moment I'm writing this entry. This ink and quill are all I have left in my study because everything is useless to me at this point.

I'm just avoiding the inevitable, I'm going to perish, and the souls will no longer be judged and will be consumed by the light. The goddess of light will take my essence and destroy it, forever having me lost in the void. Heh, most think Death is supposed to be a cold, heartless being without mercy. No. I'm not. I just...forgot feelings.

I try my absolute damndest to make sure all the souls are judged properly, sending them to the right place. I never made a move against Selina, she had her job and I had mine. I can hear them, and her, she's close. My time approaches and I'm ready to accept my fate. Selina will kill me and end my reign as Death.

These last few lines of my life will tell the truth, to whoever finds this, heed my warning.
Forget your past, and move on.
Signed, Re-

BANG

"Halt Remorel! Your plans have been foiled and now is the time to surrender!" Selina and her Solar Guards busted through Remorel's door, Selina's spear at his neck.

Remorel didn't even flinch, he just finished writing and closed his notebook. His bone fingers lingering over his broadsword on his desk. Looking at his creation before being ended.

"Well!? Are you just going to sit there and let me kill you or are you going to fight!?" Selina fumed.

Her guards stayed back but had their weapons drawn on him as well.

Remorel didn't speak, just glancing at Selina as she waited for his response.

Selina flinched a little when she saw his eyes glow pure white, she's seen them before but only at council meetings, she saw his lying and dark personality when she even thought of them.

"Selina, you know I never wanted this. I only wanted peace, the past never mattered. What that human said was a lie, I would never-"

"STOP WITH YOUR LIES!"

Selina came at Remorel with full force behind her attack. The spear going right through Remorel.

She halted instantly, she didn't think he would just stand there.

"Why won't you fight!?"

Selina continued to stab at Remorel with all her force but to no avail. He would either dodge or the spear would do nothing.

"Guards! Attack!" Selina ordered.

They obeyed, and they would block him from any escape he would attempt.

He was trapped.

"It's over Remorel! Surrender now and accept your fate!" Selina pointed the tip of her spear at Remorel's chest plate.

"You know I can't surrender, it's not my fault," Remorel said with a calm, straight tone.

Selina was angered by his response, she knew he was planning a surprise attack.

She channeled her anger with her magic to the tip of her spear.

"DIE DAMM YOU!!"

Remorel was surprised by her attack, at first, he saw nothing, then he saw a tree.

And magic drainage took over him as he fainted on the ground of an unknown area.

-------------------

Selina was surprised, she saw nothing, then Remorel disappeared. And all her magic drained.

"Lady Selina! Are you all right?" One of her guards asked with great concern.

"I'm fine, thank you. It is done, he is banished."

All the guards cheered as Selina went back outside Remorel's castle.

Her army stood strong. Any last remaining undead was killed or ran.

Her army stood before her, waiting for her.

"Today, darkness has fallen to light!"

Every soldier cheered and hugged each other. Some even thanked Selina for this wonderful moment.

But, deep down, she knew he's not dead. No, you can't kill death.

But she did manage to banish him from this realm though.

If only she knew where he was...

--------------------

"Angel? Angel? Oh, Angel where are you?"

Fluttershy was looking for Angel Bunny, he got mad at her because she wouldn't give him carrots in his salad.

Now she's in the Everfree...alone...in the dark...

SNAP

"AHH!"

Fluttershy jumped and clung on to a tree.

A bunny hopped out from the bushes.

Angel looked up at Fluttershy and frowned.

"Heh...h-hey Angel." Fluttershy quivered.

She flew down from the tree and picked up Angel.

"Now Angel, why do you go into the Everfree whenever we fight? Hm? You know I can't keep coming in here, it scares me."

Fluttershy was about to start walking when a noise made her stop.

She turned her head to the source of the noise.

What she saw was...confusing.

It was a pure black ball of something.

And it was hurtling towards her.

She ducked as it hit the tree, she heard a pained grunt as the thing fell on her.

"AHHHH" Fluttershy heard something snap. And a major pain surging through her.

She looked at where the thing landed.

Her left leg was broken, whatever fell on her had enough force to snap it in half.

"A-a-angel, p-p-please go get h-help..." Fluttershy sobbed.

Angel obeyed and hopped off to go find the closest help.

Meanwhile, Fluttershy was able to lift enough of the heavy...thing...off to be able to escape, now she's resting on a tree and resting her leg.

She took the time to examine the creature.

She couldn't see its face, but she could see its skeletal...claws? At least, that what the look like. It was wearing some kind of armor, and it looked very heavy. It also had a pair of black wings, a lot like a bat pony. Well...black like them, they had feathers like a bird.

And...it had a really big sword. And it looked battle worn.

She didn't like whatever this thing is.

"A-angel, please hurry...."

[Meanwhile in Ponyville]

"Alright girls, it seems we're ready for our sleepover!" Twilight said excitedly.

"Uh, where is Flutters?" Rainbow asked.

Everybody looked around the room, no sign of Fluttershy anywhere.

"Um, she said she would be here, how did we miss her?" Rarity looked around, hopefully trying to spot her.

There was a slight thud and a bunny landed on Twilight.

"A-angel? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at home? Wait, where is Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.

Angel pulled on twilight and was pointing outside. Helplessly trying to pull her along.

"Ok, ok. Girls lets go see what's wrong with Flutters."

All the girls trotted out behind Twilight as she followed Angel.

[Back in the Everfree]

Fluttershy managed to move her leg to a comfortable position. She was trying to be as quiet as she can, there were some Timberwolves earlier and they didn't look very friendly.

The moon managed to be in a position to light the creatures face, and sure enough, it was a full skull. When she first saw it, she was terrified, and she didn't want that thing to wake up.

She decided it was best to move away from the creature and out of sight, just in case another heard of Timberwolves pass, or worse, a manticore.

So, she hid in some nearby bushes and waited for Angel to come back with some help hopefully.

In the meantime, she examined the creature as much as she can. Now since the moon was in the perfect spot.

It was obviously a warrior, and it was battle worn. The sword looked like it was used a fair amount, and the armor looked as if it was fresh from a fight. The hood that was covering the skull before now was lit and revealed a scratched skull with empty eye sockets. As it laid before her, she noticed how tall it was, just passing at about 7 feet.

What disturbed her the most, was the lack of breathing, even if it was unconscious, she could tell if it would be breathing.
And its claws, they are pure bone, no flesh anywhere.

The strange thing is, she somehow knew it was mystical, like how Celestia is. How she has authority in a motherly fashion.

This thing, however, had a similar presentation but was much more noticeable. It had a lot more authority than anything.

It hasn't even woke up yet and she's already thinking these things.

"Fluttershy? Fluttershy!?"

"Hey, flutters! Where are ya?"

"Say something darling so we know where you are!"

Fluttershy immediately felt relief wash over her. She called out to her friends.

"I'm over here guys, my leg is broken and I can't move very well..." She called out.

Twilight was the first one to spot her.

"There you are! What were you doing out here?" Twilight asked, a worried expression clear as day on her face.

"Angel got mad at me and ran in here, I was worried and went out to find him, a then this...thing appeared out of nowhere and broke my leg," Fluttershy explained.

"What!? Where is it!? I'll teach it a lesson about hurting you!" Rainbow boasted.

"The thing is...it's unconscious, I don't think it meant to hurt me. I don't think it even knows what it landed on. But, it's over there." Fluttershy weakly pointed the tip of her hoof towards the tree she was previously on.

"Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, go check it out, me and Rainbow will take Fluttershy home," Twilight ordered as she used one of her wings to help balance Fluttershy while Rainbow was keeping her in check.

The other three were at the creature's feet. Gazing upon it with amazement and fear.

"Alright ladies, let's bring this fella back with us, we can't let it stay out here." Applejack said as she moved towards its left arm. Hesitating slightly when its hand twitched.

Pinkie grabbed ahold of its other arm, and Rarity pulling his hood.

"Do you think it'll be angry if we get its attire all dirty? I mean it's already worn out, it still looks nice..." Rarity said with a slight bit of regret.

"Believe me Rarity, I think it will be fine. Just look at it, I think it has to worry a lot more than its fancy clothes. Even if they make me unnerved..." Applejack said as she pulled.

"Yeah! And when it wakes up, I'm going to throw a "Welcome to Ponyville and sorry for you accidentally breaking our friend's leg but we accept your apo-"

Pinkie was cut off by a hoof in her mouth by Applejack.

"Let's just concentrate getting this fella back to Twi's ok?" Applejack withdrew her hoof.

"Aw, ok." Pinkie said with some sadness.

[Twilights Castle]

"Aaaand done! Alright, she'll need to keep that cast on for the next few weeks. She will be able to walk in no time."

"Thank you Redheart. We really appreciate this, especially at this hour." Twilight gave her thanks to Nurse Redheart.

"No problem, if it's one of the princesses friends, I'm always happy to help!" Redheart gave a smile.

"But, I do have to ask, who or what is that?" Nurse Redheart pointed towards a nearby sofa with...whatever the thing was, is laying.

"Guys! I thought I told you to hide him?" Twilight looked over to where the three ponies where.

"It....it....was heavier than you think..." Rarity huffed out.

"Maybe you just need to leave the shop now and then and exercise...." Applejack whispered.

"He wasn't so heavy Rarity!" Pinkie said with her forever frightening smile.

"That's....because...you...carried....his lighter side...." Rarity struggled to speak.

Rarity then finally and dramatically passed out on the ground.

"Drama queen..." Rainbow whispered

"Is it ok? Do you want me to inspect it?" Redheart asked, on instinct and not by choice, almost regretting it.

"I guess, it hasn't really moved since we brought it in. I just want to make sure it's not seriously injured." Twilight said with slight worry.

Redheart was worried, she has never got to examine anything foreign other than a couple of griffons and a few minotaur's.

"Oh...um... thank you, I also hope it's not too seriously injured." Redheart said as she approached the...thing.

As she got closer she noticed that it was much bigger that she originally thought and much taller. Its face was completely gone since it was wearing its hood and there was not enough lighting, which made her feel even more uneasy.

Some of Twilights friends backed away from the being as Redheart drew closer. Which didn't help her growing anxiety.

The creature was wearing black armor and its wings were the same, she noticed the skeletal form of its...hands were they?

She was just inches from its legs, and she had to crane her neck up just to look into the faceless void.

She felt her excitement turn into a slight fear and a quickening grow of anxiety.

She was starting to ask the 'What if's?'

Oh Celestia, what if this thing is evil, or even if it eats ponies!? NO! I can't back down!

She slowly pulled out her tools from her medical box and begun her work.

She was astounded that the thing was alive, but was just asleep.

"Um, how did you manage to not wake it up?" Redheart asked.

"'Wake it up?' What do you mean? It wasn't unconscious?" Twilight asked.

"No, it was just exhausted, but as far as I can tell, it was just asleep the entire time." Redheart explained.

"B-but it hit its head on a tree! And it fell on me!" Fluttershy said.

"Hmm...I wonder if it's a male or female?" Redheart asked aloud.

"What? Is now really the best time?" Twilight said with a slight blush.

"I don't feel comfortable calling it "it", it sounds insulting." Redheart explained.

Even if I fell uneasy by its presence...She thought to herself.

"Can we at least let it rest? We can ask it when it wakes up." Twilight yawned.

Redheart had to admit, it was late, and she really wanted to go to bed.

"Ok, I guess you're right, I'm going home then, and all the other princesses, they might want a gander at this being for themselves." Redheart gave her advice and walked out the castle doors.

Twilight pondered this for a moment.

"Ok, Spike takes a note. And girls, there are spare rooms out in the west wing, find whatever room you want, it's late."
All the girls nodded and headed off for bed.

"I'm ready whenever you are Twilight." Spike was readying his quill and parchment.

"Dear Princess Celestia-"

Fuck me. I'm dying. I need substanence.

Awakining.

"-and I request you to come to Ponyville to examine this newfound creature.
~Princess Twilight Sparkle."

Celestia finished reading aloud with a smile on her face and a growing sense of excitement.

"A new creature from the Everfree forest Tia? How exciting! And It wears armor! It might be intelligent!" Luna spoke quickly in excitement.

"Sister, I know how excited you are. But please, control yourself. It might be dangerous, it does wear armor." Celestia stated.

"Hm. You do have a point. But still, we should at least go and see it." Luna retorted.

"Who said we wouldn't?" Celestia grinned.

Luna got more excited when her sister smiled.

"Guards! Day court is canceled today! We are off on business!" Celestia ordered.

"Yes, your majesty!" All the guards in the room shouted in sync.

Celestia and Luna got up from their thrones and walked down a hallway.

"Sister, you don't seem as excited like before..." Luna said as she noticed Celestia's more serious expression.

"I'm excited, but I'm also concerned. What if this thing is hostile?"

"We will never know until we actually get there Tia," Luna said with a deadpan look and a monotone voice.

"Pfft, I know! I was just stating the possibility." Celestia retorted.

"If it is, I'm pretty sure it can't match the Princess of the Sun and The Princess of the moon, and the new Princess of friendship," Luna said proudly.

"Of course, and with the elements of harmony at our side, we can't be beaten. But let's hope it won't come to that dear sister." Celestia said with a returning smile.

Luna beamed. "I'm pretty sure it won't, and if it does we'll be ready for it."

They continued in silence after that, walking the quiet hallway until reaching their royal chariot.

The Royal Guards who were there saluted to their leaders involuntary. The princesses gave a warm smile as she climbed on to the chariot.

The guards got hooked up and were preparing to take off.

"We're to princesses?" One of the guards asked.

"We would like to go to Ponyville, we have some business to attend there," Celestia said in a calm manner.

"Yes princess!" Both guards said.

They took off and were heading to Ponyville.

[Twilight's Castle]

All the girls except Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash went home, either had to go do their jobs or had plans. Twilight was examining the new creature that they brought in to her castle. And it amazed her and made her terrified.

It amazed her by how much armor it had, and how dense it was. She had to be careful not to awaken the creature, but she wanted to learn more. And that sword, she didn't know what to do with it.

If she took it away, she could anger the creature if it woke up. But at the same time, she couldn't leave it armed with the princesses arriving shortly. She didn't know what to do.

She didn't trust this thing, it can't be armed. She could at least keep it in a place where she could easily hide it and get it if she needed.

She summoned her magical spell and teleported the sword away to her secret treasury. Now, how is she going to wake this thing? It has been asleep for about four hours. And it needs to wake up to greet the princesses.

"Spike? Spike!" Twilight called out.

"He went with Applejack to visit Applebloom Twilight, don't you remember?" Rainbow cocked an eyebrow.

"...Oh yeah, I was busy examining this creature. It's so fascinating!" Twilight beamed with curiosity as her eyes sparkled over the being.

"Um, don't you think it might wake up? And not know where it's at? Won't you think it might be defensive?" Fluttershy said quietly.

She's right, this thing is foreign, and it might want to know where it was.

"We can have the princesses ask its questions. They know more about this kind of thing than I do." Twilight frowned a little when she finished, she is still new to this princess thing.

"Twilight, don't worry, princess Celestia is nice to everyone! She wouldn't want to start trouble, she always resolves things the safer way." Fluttershy said quickly and confidently.

"I know." Twilight quietly said.

[Outside]

The Royal Chariot landed in front of the newest castle in Equestria. The royal sisters were greeted by ponies bowing to them. Celestia telepathically spoke to Luna.

Didn't we say that we wanted to be treated as equals? Celestia said.

Yes, many times. It's just our status. They do it even if we don't want them to Tia. Luna responded.

Celestia dropped the spell and loosened her wings.

"Rise my dear subjects," Celestia said in a motherly way.

All the nearby ponies rose and smiled at their leader.

One of these ponies came up to Celestia.

"Hello, princess! What brings you here to Ponyville?"

"I'm on business with Luna for Twilight," Celestia said with a smile.

"Oh ok! I was wondering why I haven't seen Twilight today."

The pony walked away, and eventually, all the other ponies did their greetings and did the same.

Celestia and Luna walked upon the massive crystal tree and knocked.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK "Twilight? We're here." Celestia called out.

The door opened and revealed Rainbow Dash.

"Oh, princesses! Come in! The creature moved finally!" Rainbow bolted back inside.

Celestia walked, although a little faster now, inside as Luna caught up with her.

They followed Rainbow as she stayed a little behind to direct them to the creatures staying.

When they reached the room, Rainbow landed on the ground.

"I thought you mostly fly Rainbow Dash?" Celestia asked curiously.

"Yeah I do but Twilight said if I was flying when the thing wakes up, I might scare it. So she told me to wait until it gets used to us." Rainbow explained.

They walked into the room the creature was staying in, and Luna had to hold back her excitement and eagerness for a second when she saw its armor.

"I...I knew it wore armor...but...that thick?" Luna sputtered out.

"Hm? Oh hi, princesses! How was your journey here?" Twilight said as she went to greet her former mentor.

"Boring mostly, but enough of that. What about this creature here?" Celestia pointed a hoof to the creature.

"Oh, right! Come here, I think it's about to wake up!" Twilight quickly went to the creature's side.

Celestia was more than eager to see this creature, Luna even more so.

Rainbow helped Fluttershy to walk over to the creature.

"Hey look! It's moving!" Fluttershy whispered.

[Remorel's head]

Well, isn't this interesting.

I seem to have been banished, but that raises the question. Why?

Hmm...Well, one thing is for sure. I can't go back to the realm. I'm forever casted aside. Now darkness in that realm has been forever forgiven, with no judgment.

That's another question, where am I now? I feel a powerful presence, granted its weaker than Selina but has some magnitude.

Actually, there's three of them. But, why are they so close?

And where's my sword? It's close but not...here.

Ok, resting time is over. Time to wake up.

[Back outside]

Celestia was getting way too eager, a new creature! How exciting! And it's waking up! Oh, how she hopes it's not hostile.

"Ugh, sni del melova" The creature spoke.

It sat up and stopped moving.

There was an awkward silence in the room.

"Ponies? Huh." It spoke in a deep, but calm voice.

Celestia flinched, the eye sockets were now glowing slightly white.

"haaaaaaaa..." Fluttershy squeaked.

The cre-...he just stared at all of the ponies. Doing the same, Celestia took the time to study him.

Even sitting he was at eye level with her, his wings shrunk back to behind his back. His upper body seemed more broad and bigger than the rest of his body. It looked as if he was literally made into a warrior.

"Hello, I'm princess Celestia, and this is my sister, princess Luna. Over here we have princess Twilight and Fluttershy and finally, Rainbow Dash." Celestia gestured to all of them.

"Do you understand?" Celestia asked the creature, he didn't respond.

Fluttershy hid behind Rainbow, Luna was becoming less excited and more defensive. Twilight was still her eager self and Celestia was just waiting for his response.

"Yes, and it seems like you seem decent enough to understand my speech too, correct?" He responded.

"Of course, at least we can understand each other. just don't say anything you would regret" Celestia grinned, but deep inside she was glaring at Remorel.

"Noted, my name is Remorel, now I would like to know where I am. " Remorel said calmly.

"Well, you're in the land of Equestria. Home of the ponies and me and my sister are the leaders." Celestia explained.

Remorel paused.

"Leaders? Care to explain?" Remorel asked.

"Well, I rule the day, I raise the sun. And Luna rules the night, and raises the moon."

"Wait, you both raise cosmic bodies?" Remorel pointed at Celestia and Luna.

Luna just stood proudly. "Yes, we raise the sun and the moon."

"Interesting..."

Remorel stood up fully, making Fluttershy whimper.

He was easily taller than Celestia, her horn only reaches the center chest plate.

Celestia was slightly surprised but was keeping a calm composure.

Remorel circled them both, inspecting them.

"Well, you're not lying. So that's good." Remorel went back to his original place on the couch, now back at eye level with Celestia.

"Why would we lie? We have no need too." Luna said with a slightly disgusted face.

"I have been around for almost 96,000,000 years. I have met plenty of liars." Remorel said with an ever so slightly sad tone.

Celestia's jaw dropped.

"You're immortal?" Celestia asked.

"I thought you would recognize the God of death," Remorel said with his monotone voice again.

Celestia froze. Then there was silence in the room.

"T-the God....of death!?" Fluttershy whimpered.

Remorel remained silent.

"Your Death? Like THE Death?" Luna said with slight fear in her voice.

Oh boy Remorel said internally.

"sigh Yes. I'm Death." Remorel breathed out.

Celestia was contemplating whether or not she should actually trust him, he IS Death. But, not everything is evil. Is death even a good or bad thing?

She will need to test him first, to see if he can be trusted.

"Remorel, how about you come back to Canterlot to have some tea and sight see?"

Luna immediately interjected.

"Are you serious? What if he does something? What if he's evil?" Luna was in her sisters face.

Celestia didn't flinch this time.

"That's why I'm bringing him to Canterlot." She turned to Remorel. "You don't mind of course, do you?"

"Of course not, I would like to get to know my surroundings better." Remorel then turned to Twilight.

"By the way, what did you do with my sword?"

Before Twilight could answer, Celestia spoke up.

"I, hid it to see if I can trust you first. Once I deem you trusted, I may allow you to have your weapon back." Celestia explained.

"Understandable, it's not easy to trust somebody like me. Especially since I hold the title of Death. That weapon stores almost all of my magic, so it may be better to keep it safe. But that's beside the point, when are we planning to leave?"

"As soon as possible, Twilight can come if she so chooses-"

"Uh, duh!"

"-and bring her friends along."

Twilight blushed at her own sudden outburst.

"Ok, so how long will that take?" Remorel asked.

"I thought you were a god, can't you tell me?" Celestia retorted.

"I don't have the power of Time or Fate, and like I said before, my magic is extremely depleted right now," Remorel explained.

"Interesting..." Celestia thought silently for a second.

"Besides, life is boring if you can expect everything."

Celestia chuckled a bit.

"Good point Remorel."

Rainbow and Fluttershy were just rambling on about nothing while Twilight went out to gather her other friends. Celestia decided she would make a room available to Remorel back in Canterlot, so she asked Luna to watch over him.

Luna said yes, reluctantly, she wasn't entirely comfortable with Remorel yet.

Remorel laid back while Twilight went to find the rest of her friends. Luna sat next to him...at a distance.

She decided to try and make small conversation.

"So...do you know magic?" Luna asked.

Depends on the magic, what kind are we talking about?"

"Any special type of magic? I have the power of entering the dream realm." Luna said.

"Ok. I have dark magic, blood magic, chaos magic, and fury magic." Remorel listed.

Luna was curious about blood magic in particular, she has never heard about blood magic before.

"What is blood magic?"

"Blood magic is my most powerful form of magic because I created it. If you want I can teach you sometime."

Luna wanted to, but she still doesn't trust Remorel.

"I...will think about it, I think my sister would like to know about this magic too. Care to explain the process?"

"Of course, I love teaching curious pe-...ponies. About blood magic. It's oh so very fascinating. Basically it uses your own blood as a substitute for mana, painful but extremely powerful. "

They sat in silence after that.

[25 minutes later]

Time has passed and Twilight brought the rest of her friends back to the castle.

They all greeted Remorel the same way, cautiously and fearfully. He didn't like it, but he understands why.

Eventually, Luna decided that it was time to go.

Remorel said that he can make himself invisible since it was part of his basic magic, so he doesn't scare the other ponies. Luna said it would be best, saying that the Ponyville residents tend to...overreact.

Soon they reached Canterlot, Luna keeping a firm eye on Remorel, since she can detect his presence more than any pony.

He was doing like he was told, to follow.

Interesting, he has the power to destroy the world if he wanted to, so why isn't he? Luna thought to herself.

Even with his basic magic, he can easily overpower the elements. So why isn't he doing anything to gain that advantage?
Luna was so deep in thought that she didn't see a piece of stone jutting out of the ground. She hit it and almost fell.

Almost.

She could feel a cold pressure on her chest, preventing her from falling.

She heard Remorel whisper, "Please be careful Luna, that could've hurt you."

He set her back standing quickly so to not attract attention from other ponies.

She silently whispered, "Thank you."

She could hear him chuckle a little then walked away, but close enough to her in case anything else happened again.

He just prevented me from getting hurt....maybe he's not so evil than I thought?

Luna ignored the thought and continued on.

Hopefully, he isn't just kissing my flank.

I need to stop drinking rum.

"Let's make a deal."

They reached the entrance of the massive castle, much to Remorel's amusement. Why was he amused? It seems every castle he sees is very brightly colored. The only one that wasn't colored was his own, but that's gone now isn't it? Remorel disabled his invisibility after Luna ordered the guards to leave the area. They didn't question it of course, who would question orders? Well, maybe a spoiled child.

Celestia didn't take very long to arrive after the group did. Which surprised him, sense he expected her to take longer since she is a princess. And technically, alongside Luna, the ruler of a nation. Which pops another question to ask Celestia.

They entered the castle after waking up some guards, they weren't very good guards that's for sure.

Where is the king and queen?

Celestia popped out of nowhere, startling Rarity. After a small laugh, tea arrived.

The pony who got to Remorel froze for a second, then shakily put his cup down.

"H-here you go sir."

The pony quickly left Remorel to his refreshment.

After all the pony's got there tea, Luna asked the first question.

"So, do you perform magic?"

She said it in a slow way, which meant she wanted to have him explain his capabilities to Celestia and the rest. And of course her interest in blood magic.

"YOU can perform MAGIC?" Pinkie said excitedly.

Pinkie somehow managed to make Remorel lose track of her for a second. As she reappeared next to him with a big smile on her face.

"Can you magically make candy appear!?" She asked with growing eyes.

"Um...no, I don't practice that kind of magic." Remorel said, making Pinkie pout a little.

"What magic do you perform then?" Twilight asked, sounding very curious.

When Remorel looked back at where Pinkie was, she was already back in her seat.

'I'm going to need to keep her in check' He thought to himself.

"Well, want detail or summary?"

Twilights eyes immediately shinned very bright.

"Wrong question to ask pardner..." Applejack whispered next to him.

Remorel could hear Celestia and Luna chuckle a little.

"Detailed please." Twilight said with an ever so present eagerness to her voice.

Remorel sat back in his chair to get comfortable.

"You might have some of this magic, but one you don't have, I will list them to see which ones you don't know."

"So like a pull?" Luna said.

"Exactly." Remorel said.

All the ponies looked at each other, except Applejack and Rainbow Dash, who looked bored out of their minds.

"Well, I'll start off with the basic magic. I have fire, ice and lightning. Then there's invisibility. My elemental magic is mostly used as a distraction or quick attacks if I wanted to, and then there's invisibility, that one is pretty self explanatory.

Twilight was taking notes. When Luna, for some reason, raised her hoof in the air.

"Luna, why are you raising your hoof?" Celestia asked with a sly smile.

Luna immediately blushed and put her hoof back down.

Remorel chuckled.

"Luna, I saw your hoof raised, did you have a question?" Remorel asked.

Luna's blush disappeared and curiosity became dominant again.

"Invisibility to you is basic, so what's advanced?"

"Hmmm. Well, my advanced-"

Rainbow snorted.

"Well, it seems that everypo-...I mean...everybody is done with their tea. If you so wish, you can spend the rest of the day doing what you all want. We have some business with Remorel here." Celestia said as she glanced at Twilight.

Twilight took the hint and woke Rainbow Dash up.

"*snort* Huh! Oh...I'm sorry did I fall asleep?" Rainbow asked.

"Yes, yes you did." Fluttershy said as she slowly got up from her seat, rarity quick to her side.

"Oh, why am I not surprised." Rainbow got up and walked to Applejack's chair and kicked it, which woke said mare up.

"*snort* What in tarnation! Oh, oh my...I'm sorry Remorel. I didn't mean to sleep like that. That was awfully rude of me..." Applejack hung her head low.

"Hey, it's ok. Some are just not into magic that much, trust me, I sometimes bore myself to sleep."

That seemed to lighten Applejack up. She got off her chair and walked out with the rest of her friends.

Once they left the room, Celestia walked to Remorel's side.

"Walk with us, we have some things we need to discuss."

Remorel got up, and walked in between Luna and Celestia.

"Before we start anything, I have to ask a question, you're both princesses without a king or queen, true?" Remorel asked.

"Kings and queens in our society are viewed as evil, we keep the status of princess because of that reason, and because it fits with our titles better. I mean seriously, 'Queen Celestia'? 'Queen Luna'? It just doesn't fit."

Remorel could understand, he wasn't particularly called 'King', just 'Death'. But that didn't make him evil. So he could relate a little.

"Alright, that's all I wanted to ask." Remorel walked with them in sync somehow.

"If that's all your questions, we have some to ask you." Celestia said in a more authoritarian voice.

"What is it that you want to know?"

Luna spoke up first.

"What exactly are you?"

"I'm a being that was once human, but has gained immortality and has gained the first knowledge of magic. A human is practically a hairless ape, but was really smart. Humans did many great things, but those things ended in suffering. I'm the embodiment of that suffering, which is Death."

Luna summoned a piece of parchment and begun writing.

Celestia was next.

"How intelligent were these humans?"

"They learn from their mistakes, and build upon them. They didn't even know what magic was. They just survived on their own intellect."

Luna stopped writing.

"No magic? How is that possible?"

"Humans had intellect, they didn't necessarily need magic because they made technology that made their lives easier. But that made them more prone to suffering. Who would've thought that the humans own destruction was there own creations."

Celestia pondered this next question in her head.

"Did they destroy themselves?"

"Technically yes, you see, I had a partner who was the god of life, she and I were to go and pretty much 'clean up the mess', which they called the rapture. I judge the souls and she takes the good ones to a place called heaven, I take the bad ones and imprison them in a place called hell. But, there was a human who said the wrong thing to her, and she suspected I was claiming more souls than I should. She had her armies destroy mine. And banished me from that realm, of that I can't go back to."

Luna finished writing and tore out a piece of paper and was readying a new one.

"What kind of advanced magic do you know? I know Luna told me you created something called Blood magic. I would like to know more about that and some of your other abilities." Celestia asked.

Remorel was now starting to question her motives.

'Why does she want me to tell her about all my abilities? We literally met four hours ago. I'll tell her my abilities, but not my weakness, that's something nobody should know.'

"I know dark, fury, and chaos."

Celestia froze.

"Chaos magic? Care to be more specific?"

"My chaos magic alters the mind to the point where I can control the mind, or destroy it with overwhelming force by speaking a sequence of words, but I don't like using it because nobody should go through that torture...unless they deserve it."

Luna continued writing quickly.

"And what about Dark magic? How does that work?"

"Dark magic is bending the matter that's around me to my will, say if I wanted a flower as a shield. I can make it into a shield, but I won't be very effective since it's well...a flower."

Writing continues.

"And fury magic?" Celestia raised an eyebrow as she turned a corner.

"A more powerful form of Dark magic, except it's raw and uncontrollable. Instead of bending the matter, I use its energy."

"Ok, that's all I wanted to know, but one more thing. Luna you can stop recording." Celestia opened a door that led to a balcony.

Luna stopped with her writing and sent her things away and went with her sister on the balcony.

Celestia stared out across her kingdom, her horn glowing as the sun set, and Luna's horn glowing as the moon rises.

Celestia turned to Remorel as Luna was finishing rising the moon.

Remorel marveled at their experience in magic, silently appreciating them to see something extremely rare.

Celestia caught his attention as she started to speak.

"We don't exactly trust you yet, but let's make a deal."

Remorel listened intently.

"We would like you to stay here in Canterlot so me and my sister can monitor you. If you prove yourself to be safe around our citizens, we will allow you to roam within Equestria."

Remorel considered this, he didn't really know anywhere else to go. And his magic isn't fully charged. But, he could get used to these ponies in time if he acted friendly.

Then maybe perhaps, he can finally re-learn his lost emotions.

"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna. I accept."

Celestia smiled.

"Great! I'm happy you agree. Now eventually we will allow you to roam Canterlot to get used to the ponies, but, it may be difficult."

Remorel mentally raised and eyebrow.

"The reason being, Canterlot is known for...judgmental ponies."

Remorel smiled.

"I learned that if you slowly introduced me to the locals, I can become like one of the population. But, again, they will need to know the truth about me. About me being Death."

Celestia had a tired look.

"Yeah, that too. But it's getting late, you must be tired. We will continue to talk in the morning over breakfast. Come, I will show you where you'll be staying."

Celestia raised a wing and lightly pushed Remorel back inside, and out into a hallway.

"I know a shortcut, we still didn't let the staff know about your presence." Celestia directed him down a shorter hallway.

"Understood, I was actually expecting it."

They continued going through a series of hallways and corridors, eventually making it to the royal chambers.

"This room is hidden and is next to mine and Luna's. It used to be a relatives room but...there not here anymore. But you can use it as long as you don't destroy anything."

"Thank you Celestia, I really do appreciate this." Remorel thanked Celestia.

"No problem, remember in the morning we wish to talk more. And possibly giving you an occupation. Anyway, have a good night Remorel."

Celestia closed the door behind her, he can hear her talking to Luna before they also went to bed.

'I guess it's time for some rest to.'

Remorel laid in the bed that was provided, his feet going over the bed.

'Already more comfortable than what I usually sleep on.'

Eventually, Remorel's magic deficiency called him to rest. He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Author's Notes:

[List of explanatory...your welcome reader.]
Basic Magic:
*Flamethrower[from mouth] and fireballs.(offensive)
*Ice walls and ice spears.(defensive)
*Invisibility.(stealth)
*Lightning.(offensive and defensive)
Advanced Magic:
Blood Magic (Most powerful, but most exhausting):-blood magic is magic that channels anger into a physical form, and can be casted with enough force to destroy an entire planet.
Dark Magic (Weak, but quick attacks):-dark magic is just bending the matter around you to your whim, like raising undead or shooting magic missiles.
Chaos Magic (Unlike Discords, Remorel's cause mental chaos, effective but very time consuming to cast):-his form of chaos magic only affects the mind, it can alter any emotion and can possibly destroy the stability of the mind if so chosen.
Fury Magic (Very powerful with strong attacks, but cannot be controlled, hence the name):-similar to dark magic, you can cast quick attacks. Only you cant control it and they do massive amounts of splash damage.
Weapon abilities are also an option, if chosen the caster can perform magic through there weapon, so if say the caster wants the weapon to be on fire, they will channel that energy to that weapon. Same goes for every other spell.
This is just for you to know the capabilities of Remorel. And thanks for the feedback and support, I really appreciate it.

"I am human will."

Celestia awoke to Luna's knocking.

*KNOCK* KNOCK* KNOCK* "Tia? It's almost time to raise the sun. Want me to come back later?"

Celestia struggled out of bed, feeling the effects of 'wanting to sleep more'.

"N-no, I'm coming. We should wake up Remorel too." Celestia said with closed eyes.

She struggled to move, she hasn't slept like that in a long while. But it felt good to finally get some sort of sleep.

"Of course sister, and I already started breakfast."

That took Celestia by surprise.

"You made breakfast? What about the staff?"

"I wanted to make something special for us and Remorel. I told the staff I wanted to make something of my own creation."

Celestia paused and smiled. 'Oh how can I miss this opportunity?'

"You said us and Remorel right? What did you make him?"

"Well, I noticed he had some carnivore teeth. Well..at least when his face was visible. So I made him some pancakes with bacon inside."

Bacon? When did she learn to make bacon?

"That sounds great, for a carnivore at least. And I'm surprised you made a very specific ingredient. When did you ask him?"

"I asked him when we first met, I asked what his diet was. He said he can eat anything but he preferred meat since it was more appealing to him."

Celestia's smile widened.

"So you made something special for him. I got to ask, do you like him?"

Celestia could actually feel the blush on Luna.

"N-no! I just wanted to make him feel like a special guest! Isn't that what a host does?"

"Ok, ok Lulu. I was just teasing. But anyway, what did you make us?"

Celestia could've sworn she heard Luna chuckle.

"I made some chocolate pancakes for us~" She said in a sing song voice.

"Chocolate? Luna, you know my diet..."

"Oh come on, its been so long since I made something for you. Can you at least try some for once?"

She was right, its been so long since she has made something for Celestia, and she could let an exception for sweets this once...

"Ok, we should go wake up Remorel and then we can go eat."

Luna smiled and was the fist to Remorel's door. She waited for Celestia to catch up.

When Celestia did make it, she was about to raise her hoof to knock when she heard a noise coming from the other side of the door.

*SNORT*

Celestia and Luna giggled a little as Celestia knocked on the door.

There was a surprised snort and a thud. Then Remorel spoke.

"Uh...who is it?" He called.

"Its us. Its time to get up, and breakfast is ready." Luna said through the door.

"Huh? Oh right! Sorry I forgot." Remorel rushed to the door and opened it.

He was wearing the same armor like yesterday. But both Celestia and Luna had to admit, it did look good on him.

"Are we ready?" Celestia asked.

"I'm pretty sure." Remorel said calmly, not sounding tired at all.

"Alright, lets go eat."

[Dinning room]

Remorel was the first to finish his plate, Celestia and Luna only finishing a little over half there meals.

There was a question really itching at Celestia, but she didn't want to upset Remorel in any way.

'I don't want to, but its killing me.'

"Remorel, you said a human said something to Selina, what was exactly this human said that may have set her off?"

Remorel stopped moving. Then put a boney hand on his hidden chin.

"It was so long ago, but I remember clear as day. You may want to sit back for this one."

[Flashback]

'Another council meeting? They are becoming so frequent. The human kingdom that now resides alongside the Light legion have gotten more...aggressive. I should ask why.'

Remorel walked the almost invisible stairway of the last human kingdom. The guards were quick to get out of his way.

As he walked he could hear the humans technology at work, radio broadcast and the annoying buzz of electricity in the lamps.

'Humans sure have lost a lot in their third world war. Hell, the population is only 700,000 thousand strong, but strong they are.'

Remorel almost missed the same turn that seemed to be a daily thing every time he comes to the humans castle.

And speak of the devil, there it was standing tall and proud.

'A grand castle it is, after the deal between the last remaining humans and the Light legion, the humans must have been able to make a castle last for an eternity. I still see no point in it, but if its what makes the humans happy for there last remaining days on this earth, I guess I'm fine with it.'

Remorel climbed the stone steppes to the iron gates. The guards, again, moved out of his way.

The gates opened and revealed a red carpet floor with both legions symbols, and a third symbol for the human kingdoms.

Remorel walked along the red carpet towards the 'negotiation room'.

As Remorel walked, he noticed some Light legion guards looking at him with looks he never received before, looks of disgust.

'Did I do something wrong?' Remorel thought.

He ignored the looks of disgust and moved along.

He could hear voices, which means there about to start.

He opened the door and silence filled the room.

The human king, Dunmer Eisenhower, stopped his speech and looked at Remorel. His face full of fear and disgust.

'Seriously, what happened?'

Remorel took a seat, opposite of Selina.

Dunmer cleared his throat.

"As I was saying, the souls of the dead humans have increased in the "Hell" category. Witch shouldn't be possible considering that the amount of humans that died should be going to "Heaven", at least that's what High Limbo wanted. And now since Remorel is here, I would like to ask where the souls are going?"

Dunmer pointed to three glowing rods, one for heaven, one for hell, and one fore how much souls are left to be judged.

Heaven had the most, but hell had more than what should actually be accounted.

Remorel paused, he doesn't remember sending any souls to hell recently, only a few thousand out of the billions of human souls should have gone to hell. But over two million? How?

"I'm sorry Dunmer, but I haven't sent a soul to hell in over two months. Selina was the only one sending them somewhere, and she only has the power to send them to heaven. I have the power to send them to hell, but I judge them properly, if I did it unethically we wouldn't be here right now."

Dunmer's brows furrowed.

"See, that's the point, you only have that power. Which means you are sending more souls to hell than what's allowed. "

Remorel tried to stay calm.

"Dunmer, you can even ask Selina, I haven't been called for sending souls to hell for a while."

Dunmer looked over to Selina.

"Is this true?"

Selina paused, looking deep in thought.

Selina was always hotheaded, even before her title as the god of Life. But when she needs to think, she dose so for a reason.

"I'm sorry Dunmer. I don't remember summoning Remorel for anything. He usually stays in his castle and decides what souls need to be punished or not. He's been doing that for over 6,578,943 years, and he doesn't want to change that. Its just how it works."

Dunmer put a hand on his chin, planning on what to say next.

"Fine then. This meeting is over. You may leave."

'Already? That was quick.'

Remorel and Selina got up from there seats and left the negotiation room.

Dunmer sat down, a hand on his head.

"Sire. Would you like some tea?" One of Dunmer's staff asked.

"No. Bring me...a parchment and ink please."

[End flashback]

"At the time I didn't think he was an issue, Dunmer was always true to his word. At previous meetings he said he wouldn't betray his kind. He wanted the last remaining humans to have a great final life before they went extinct. At least, that was then. This is now."

Celestia took it upon herself to ask the question.

"Do you...do you think it was him who told the lie?"

"Oh I knew it was him, but Selina didn't believe me. Heaven and Humanity were always close. They didn't want to shatter that bond, but Selina thought I was betraying the terms of the "deal" like I said earlier. And I wanted more souls to be punished. But, to this day, I still don't know what Dunmer said to set her off. Thinking I made a wrong move."

Remorel sat back and let his wings spread.

"All I want is closure, I don't care if all the souls are going to the Light at this point. I just want to know what he said...."

Celestia mentally took notes.

'He's not evil. That I know now. He was wrongly accused for doing his job it seems, no, he was a scapegoat. I just hope he can make do living among us for now.'

"Well, enough of this chit-chat! We should show Remorel around the castle and finally introduce him to some staff. Don't you think the earlier the better Tia?" Luna said as she looked at Celestia.

Celestia still didn't fully trust him, but her sister was right. If he's going to be able to roam, he needs to get used to the ponies, as is the reverse.

"Alright Lulu, lets go introduce him to some ponies."

Luna instantly smiled big. Remorel still didn't know why it was a big deal to Luna, but as long as she was happy with it, he should be safe...right?

[Back on the now Liberated Earth.]

Dunmer was pacing back and forth in his room, he wasn't expecting Remorel to be banished. He wanted him dead. And he fears Selina will know soon.

He walked into his closet, and pressed against the wall. The wall fell back and revealed a staircase that led downward in a spiral.

Dunmer walked down the dimly lit staircase. Occasionally feeling the walls in case he was about to trip.

When he reached the bottom, there was a keypad. He typed in a series of numbers and the steel door opened.

What revealed to Dunmer, was his newfound power. Two glass cups filled with some kind of essence, one was pure white, while the other was blacker than the void. Each letting off a soft golden glow.

"That magic drainage spell on her spear was very effective..." He said before chuckling.

"Now, Its time to end Remorel, The God of Death, permanently."

He took both glass cups and drank them one at a time.

Dunmer's eyes shifted from red, to green, then blue before finally ending on purple. His hands were now replaced by claws and his teeth were sharper and a distinct set of fangs appeared. His back arched a little as two black wings came from it, both looking a cross between rotten and fresh from birth. He grew past Remorel's height of seven feet to nine feet. And speaking of feet, they were replaced with what looks like raptor claws. His body was very bulky and looked blue.

"I am human will...humanity will never fall...." A distorted, deep voice came out of Dunmer's mouth before he chanted a word and disappeared. Leaving a mist of magical residue behind.

Author's Notes:

Well looks like Selina is going to have a problem. And like I said before, more of the past will reveal itself to you, but not every chapter. It'll just get repetitive. And besides, who doesn't like shenanigans?

Regaining Power.

Author's Notes:

Sorry this took a while, World of Tanks had a new AMX challenge and I had to jump at that opportunity. I will also say sorry for the short chapter, but don't worry, it was just a filler.

Luna and Celestia brought Remorel to the main hall, where most of the staff have breaks and chat. Although it was Wednesday, so not many ponies are here since it gets very busy around the middle of the week.

That doesn't mean nopony was there. The royal blacksmith, Ironclad, and one of the bat pony guards, Starfury, were the only ones in the room. They appear to be chatting about Starfury's armor, which has a really deep scratch in it.

The princesses thought it would be funny to scare them, so they decided to let Remorel go invisible and make him wait until they gave "the signal".

They didn't even notice the princesses walk in.

"Hello Starfury, Ironclad." Celestia said with a warm smile.

Both of them instantly froze, and bowed.

"Greetings your highnesses, what brings you to the mess hall?" Starfury asked.

"We wanted to introduce a friend to some of the staff so they get comfortable with him. But it seems you two get the privilege of meeting him privately." Luna said.

'That must be my queue' Remorel thought.

As Starfury and Ironclad rose from the ground, Remorel disabled is invisibility. A dark shadow loomed over them both.

When they looked up, all the color from both of there faces drained. And Remorel just looked down with his pitch black face.

"I-is this...him?" Starfury asked, her voice trembling.

"Yep! And don't be shy, he won't bite." Luna said with a soft smile.

They both looked up.

Remorel's hood still hid his face. Making an ominous void.

Suddenly, he flicked his eyes white, causing both of them to jump into each other.

"H-he-he-he seems nice...." Starfury said snakingly in Ironclad's arms.

They both looked at each other and got off of each other.

Celestia and Luna chuckled.

"I thought the Royal Guard generals trained you not to fear?" Luna mockingly said to Starfury.

"I-I wasn't scared! Just startled...." Starfury whispered the last part.

"And Ironclad, you seem to be the kind of stallion who doesn't get scared easily." Celestia said as she poked his side.

"I-I didn't say I was invincible!" He stuttered out.

Remorel was confused. But kept his mouth shut.

'It sounded like mockery, but why are these two laughing it off?'

Sure enough, all four of them were laughing together.

'I...I don't understand. But I shouldn't bother them about it.'

They all calmed down and eventually Celestia came up with an idea.

"Hey Remorel, you said you made your own weapon right?" Celestia asked glancing at Ironclad.

"I did, and it is my best creation and I really miss it." Remorel said.

Celestia thought for a moment.

'It could be a good way to know his trustworthiness. Although a bit dangerous, it would provide me with more trust than any other method. And it's a quicker solution too...hmmm...'

"Hey Remorel, if I give you your weapon back, do you think you can give us a little combat show? And maybe possibly show Ironclad how to make such a weapon?"

Remorel took this in consideration, it didn't take very long.

"Sure, as long as not to many ponies are around I guess it's fine, but what exactly do you mean by a 'combat show'?"

"Like, show us how you fight and whatnot. It's very informing of another's fighting experience." Celestia gave a warm smile.

"Yeah sure." He waited for Celestia to give him his weapon.

All three ponies, Ironclad, Luna, and Starfury, gave a worried glance at Celestia.

Luna spoke telepathically to Celestia.

'Sister, are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, he's only been here for two days, don't you think this might be a bit early?'

'Not to worry Lulu, from what I could see, he can be trusted. This is a test to see if he can be trusted with a weapon.'

'But Tia, It's only been two days!'

'He didn't escape when we gave him a room that had a balcony, free for him to leave. He could've took advantage of the elements, but he listened and obeyed. He could've attacked Starfury and Ironclad and used them as a distraction for an escape. Lulu, I'm pretty sure he can be trusted, this test is to see if he can be trusted with a weapon.'

'If you say so Tia, I don't question your judgment.'

Luna dropped the spell.

Celestia closed her eyes and located the sword throughout her kingdom, specifically Twilight's room. And of course, it's under her bed.

'I really need to teach Twilight a void spell so she can actually store things.'

It was actually pretty difficult for her, the material the sword was made out of was unknown to her, or was enchanted, or both. And took a while before she could actually bring it to Remorel.

"Remorel, once I give you your sword you are not allowed to attack any of my subjects unless given the right to do so, do you understand?" Celestia asked as she was withholding the spell.

"Of course Celestia, I wouldn't want to harm any of your subjects."

Celestia resisted for a moment, but summoned Remorel's sword.

Celestia opened her eyes to see a growing black puddle forming on the ground.

"W-wait. This isn't the spell I performed!" Celestia backed away from the black puddle.

Everybody except Remorel backed away from the sludge.

"Remorel, what are you doi-"

"Your spell didn't work, but my sword came to me. Because I called it." Remorel said as he cut Celestia off.

"C-called it!? Why!?" Celestia asked getting only slightly angry.

"For your protection, my sword has an enchantment that makes it to where I can only summon it. Twilight was able to because the enchantment was also weakened with me when Selina attacked me. But, it was recharged before me. And if you summoned it, it would have drained all your magic in one go."

Remorel got closer to Celestia, placing a bony hand on her shoulder.

"I don't want to cause harm. Especially one's I trust." Remorel retracted his hand.

Celestia had a mind freeze.

'He trusts me? He trusts all of us? But why? Why so soon?'

The puddle stopped growing as a thin dark mass grew from it. As it materialized from liquid to a solid black. Then melted into a giant sword, Remorel's sword.

As Remorel approached the sword, a small amount of red light leaked out of the sword and flooded into Remorel.

"Remorel, what are you doing?" Luna asked.

Remorel responded without looking at Luna.

"Regaining my powers..."

Celestia was about to protest, but she stopped when Remorel was clutching the hilt of the sword.

The sword glowed for a moment before the puddle disappeared inside the sword, causing a bit of a black glow before it turned back to its normal coloration.

He placed the sword on his back, then it went invisible from view.

"Well...that was interesting..." Starfury commented, slightly shaking.

"Think of it as a security measure, this sword is powerful and cannot fall into the wrong hands." Remorel said as he walked back to the princesses.

"How powerful is your sword?" Celestia asked.

"Lets just say I use it as an emergency backup for magic, if a situation comes to were my magic is gone or almost to that point, I can use this as a backup." Remorel explained.

"Oh, well then. Would you give us a demonstration on how you fight?" Luna said with more curiosity.

"Depends, what do you want me to do?"

"We want to introduce you to the rest of the Royal Guard, so they don't take you as an enemy. And gives you more room to wander." Celestia spoke for Luna.

Ironclad took this opportunity to ask Remorel a question.

"Excuse me Mr. Remorel, but can I see your sword again?"

Remorel smiled under his hood. "Of course, but don't touch it, it might shock you."

Remorel extended his arm and opened his hand, the sword appeared from nowhere and gently floated in his hand. He clutched it and slowly turned around and placed it on the ground.

"Whelp, here it is. Get a good long look at it."

Luna, Celestia, and Starfury with Ironclad looked at the massive blade. It if Celestia was laying down, the tip of the blade would be to her neck, and the hilt at the end of her tail. The edge of the blade looked shinier than the rest, showing off its sharpness. It had skulls on it that gave off a sense of intimidation, and just by looking at it, nobody would be stupid enough to face such a thing.

"Wow, you made this? It's incredible..." Ironclad's eyes gleamed when he scanned the sword.

"Yep, only took me three weeks without stopping to make." Remorel opened his hand and the sword disappeared from view.

"Now, about that presentation for the Guard, when should we schedule it?"

Celestia thought for a little bit.

"How about tomorrow we can request a special event and all of the staff and Royal Guard are invited, it will give us a chance to introduce you to everypony in the castle all at once, and if it goes well, they will let you roam the castle." Celestia said.

"Right, sounds good. But in the meantime let's get you used to the castle." Luna said aloud.

"Ironclad and Starfury, you two can come if you want." Luna finished.

They both looked at each other, then followed Luna and Remorel out the door.

Celestia stayed behind and thought to herself.

'Even when all his powers are back, he doesn't use them to fight. He even has his weapon back. So far he can be trusted.'

She came back to reality and quickly followed them.

Remorel was slightly on edge, having his weapon back made him more alert. And now that all his powers are back, he sensed something was wrong, something was horribly wrong.

He needs to stay alert.

[Back on Earth]

Dunmer walked his newfound castle. Remorel's old castle after he was banished. All the humans are now under his command, even with his odd form, they still follow him nevertheless.

His new plan, since his old one failed....kind of.

He needs to finish off Remorel, but the power he has now won't do any good, but Selina has that power. She needs to go down first. And then he will have the power to finally end Death.

This will be the easy part, she's stubborn and can go down without effort with this newfound power.

Remorel however, he's a tough cookie.

'I need to take Selina, so I have that power.'

Dunmer stared out his balcony, claws behind his back.

'Humanity will not fall.'

Remorel felt a little on edge. Luna said to have him be invisible for the time being, and he almost tripped on some Royal Guards and staff on more than one occasion. At least he can make himself quiet, but can't make himself small...he'll need to look into a spell for that. But he tried his best to not be detected by the princess's request.

Today was pretty uneventful, just the princesses showing him some rooms, browsing some books in the library, and eating lunch, sowing more rooms, eating dinner, then ending the day with Celestia eating chocolate cake with Luna.

Luna and Celestia decided they would let Remorel find his room on his own, he got lost twice but he found his way eventually, halfway through the night.

He couldn't sleep at all, not that it surprises him, something like him should never have to sleep. But, it is nice to relax once in awhile.

Something was really bothering him and he didn't know what. He couldn't focus on the source, he shouldn't let it get to him anyways.

While he was laying in his small bed, he thought about what happened to the dead in this realm. It peaked his interest when the princesses were talking about there history. And it surprised him that Equestria hasn't had a war in over 1,256 years. But that was a question he never asked, where do the dead go and there souls?

He hasn't come across one stray soul in Equestria.

Did the princesses take the souls like he does? How are they transferred between the afterlife and the living? How are they taken anyways? All these questions he wants to know, but he didn't know how he should approach the princesses about it.

And this tournament, at least that's what he's going to call it, is coming the next morning. All of the residence in the castle and the guards will be attending. The Captain of the Royal Guard will be leaving his station from the Crystal Empire and will also be watching his performance, the princesses say he wants to see Remorel's experience in combat.

Remorel should've told them he didn't like to fight, only when necessary. But if it's for the Captain, he might as well use some force.

It's going to be very interesting, it's an all day event. At least it's only the castle, right?

Hopefully, he doesn't want these ponies to view him as evil. He wants them to view him like a normal being. It would be a nice change.

Whatever, he needs to try and save some energy for tomorrow. He might as well get some sleep.

[The princess's private meeting room.]

"Ok Remorel, you will be coming out of the gates as soon as Luna announces your name. And then a few guards will be hoof picked by Captain Shining Armor to test your abilities. And then if you succeed in that, he will be your last opponent." Celestia explained.

"I still think you should have just introduced me, not have me fight your guards." Remorel said in a calm voice.

"Yeah, that was the original plan, but Shining Armor wanted to see your abilities, so he changed plans. And we also want to see your abilities." Luna motioned to her sister and herself.

"Alright, but you know the backlash if this backfires."

"Yes we do, and we think we trust you enough to not let it get that far." Celestia said in her motherly tone.

"Ok then, I'm going to go prepare. I'll be done as soon as you call my name, once you do, I'll be in the arena."

Remorel got up from his seat and left the room, going to the gates that have been diverted to his himself from others. So now he's alone.

He summoned his blade and checked it, sharp, shiny, and dangerous. Who needs a shield with a sword that can be big enough to be one?

The enchantments were weak, but can be refilled if his opponents will use magic. Since his sword drains attacking magic. Which seems very likely.

It's almost time, he can hear the cheering of the ponies, and a few roars?

'So it's not just the castle residence, isn't it Celestia?'

Whatever, it's too late now. He will have to reveal himself to the majority anyway.

He put on his hood, masking his skull face and making that ominous void with two glowing white spots.

'10:25'

He got up from his bench, and slowly walked to the arena gates.

'10:26'

As he got closer he could see all the ponies, and dragons, and griffons.

'10:27, Celestia, what did you do?'

The field was unoccupied, and the ground looked like sand. That's going to be hard for quick movements, thank goodness he has wings.

'10:28'

He stopped at the gate, waiting for his signal. He could see Celestia and Luna with the Elements of Harmony and a few what looked like dignitaries in a special area.

'10:29'

Remorel hoped that Celestia lied for a reason.

'10:30, it's time.'

"Ladies and gentlecolts! He have invited you here today to test the might of a brave warrior, and dear friend of ours by the request of Shining Armor! This warrior will take on the best of the best in each nation! First we have the Equestrian Guard! Second the Griffon Military! And last and certainly not least, the Dragon Clans Warriors! We now present to you, Remorel!" Luna shouted as the gates rose.

Remorel stepped out and walked slowly to the center of the field, hearing the crowd grow silent and in whispers. Some dragons were slightly chuckling, probably because of his size, he was still small compared to the dragons. The Griffons were glaring at him, or more like studying him. Like how an owl would if it was staring at a rattlesnake, pending if it should attack.

The dignitaries were also staring at him from the special area, seeing him as a very strange being.

Because he was Death after all.

Remorel stopped in the center of the field, his face still not showing even in the broad daylight. His eyes flicked white and glowed brighter. He extended his arms to the side and his wings spread, getting some "OH's" and "Ah's" from the crowed.

He decided to be a little dramatic, and made the same black puddle to summon his sword.

It rose from the ground as a liquid black fountain, the froze into a solid, then cracked and exploded into his glorious weapon of choice. The black shards disappeared.

He grabbed his sword and waited for his first opponent.

The opposite gate from him opened and revealed some guards, some with markings on their armor, and each one having a different weapon. Then the Captain himself was in the back. The crowed cheered.

"The rules are simple, no bloodshed, and defeat is announced if the opponent is surrendering or is disarmed. Begin!" Luna shouted again.

"Starfury! Flash Sentry! Go!" Shining Armor shouted in the back.

A bat pony, Starfury with a new orange pony, Flash Sentry, jumped from the back.

Starfury was holding what looked like a pair of small swords, and Flash was holding a custom made spear, having two points instead of just one.

Flash immediately rushed, having his spear down and charging at an increasing rate.

Remorel just stood there, trying to not face palm.

When plash hit Remorel's sword, the spear actually broke from the force, leaving it in several pieces.

"Flash Sentry is eliminated!" Luna shouted.

The crowed cheered mixed in with laughter, for such a stupid mistake.

Flash got up with his head down and walked back to the rest of the guards, Shining Armor giving him a look of disappointment.

Starfury just looked at Remorel, looking a bit nervous. He did just block a charge attack anyway.

This time however, Remorel took to the skies, his wings leaving a cloud of sand.

He held his sword in his right hand while readying his magic In the other. Dark magic to be precise.

Starfury backed away a little, feeling a little small than brave now.

Remorel brought his hand in the air, making the sky go slightly dim as dark clouds began to form.

Starfury panicked for a moment.

'HE CAN CONTROL WEATHER!?'

But instead of rain, small but quick pellets of magic rain down on her, making her stunned for a moment.

'What!? Why can't I move!?'

Remorel quickly got in her face, and spoke a small word.

"Force."

As soon as he finished that word, she was flung back with so much force that she actually couldn't control her flying. She knocked into the other guards like how a bowling ball would to pins, knocking almost all of them out instantly.

Remorel felt sorry for Starfury, but he couldn't let it show.

Shining Armor, with only two guards left, quickly surrounded Remorel with shields up and swords down. And were advancing very quickly.

Remorel inhaled a little, and created a flamethrower from his mouth. Making on of the guards drop his shield.

Remorel seized the opportunity, he summoned more dark magic and made more small rain like pellets hit all of them at once. Stunning all of them.

He then crouched and forcefully smashed his sword into the ground, pushing all of them back and knocking them out instantly...well, except for Shining Armor.

Shining Armor aimed his horn at Remorel and a beam of magic hit his sword. Making Remorel back up a little from the force.

"You think you can defeat me that easily?" Shining Armor said mockingly.

Shining Armor pointed his horn at his sword, making his magic extend the length of the sword.

Remorel inhaled, and made another flamethrower. Making Armor bring up his shield, which was beginning to heat up from Remorel's flamethrower.

Remorel decided to make another stun move, but instead of pellets, why not a magic bomb?

Remorel held his hand behind his sword for cover, summoning a dark magic bomb. Hopefully to disarm Armor.

Shining Armor charged when he saw Remorel take cover. He had his shield up instead of his sword, probably to avoid Flash's mistake.

Remorel moved to the side quickly, leaving his sword behind for Armor to hit and stagger a little.

Remorel brought his hand up and closed it into a fist.

Shining Armor's entire body numbed, making him drop his weapons.

"The Royal Guard is eliminated!' Luna announced.

"That was exhilarating! But I think we should have a small break, if any of you want to talk to Remorel, your more than welcome to!" Celestia said as she got up and went behind her seat, everybody in that area followed suit.

Remorel checked to Shining Armor, he was still on the ground looking defeated.

He decided to help him up, he didn't want him to think he was a complete self centered person.

When Remorel got close, Shining Armor looked at him with a questioning look. Remorel stuck his hand out to him.

Shining Armor hesitated for a second, then smiled as Remorel helped him up.

The rest of the guard watched from the sidelines, jaws dropped.

"You know how to fight, you can teach my guards a few tricks." Shining Armor said as another alicorn slowly walked from behind the rest of the guard.

"I was just using distraction magic, I never use my sword for anything like this. I only use it for combat." Remorel said as he retracted his wings and made his sword disappear.

"Heh, for a second I thought you were going to gloat, but it seems I was wrong." Shining Armor gave a sheepish smile.

"Excuse me, but your Remorel right?" That pink alicorn asked.

"Yes, I don't think anybody else would be me." Remorel responded.

The pink alicorn chuckled.

"Yeah, I guess it was a dumb question. Anyways, my name is Princess Cadence, but please, just call me Cadence." Cadence stuck out a hoof.

Remorel grasped it and shook it. "Nice to meet you Cadence."

Cadence smiled. "I wanted to congratulate you on your performance, you really were going up against the most trained of the Royal Guard, you even managed to take out Starfury. She is the best in the bat pony side."

"Thank you, it takes years of practice to see the common moves. But Flash's move was just childish, he should have never charged me like he did. That could've ended bad if it was to the death." Remorel explained.

"Yeah, he's a recruit. But he has potential, he just needs to learn to listen." Shining Armor glared at Flash Sentry, who lowered his head.

"Yeah. But anyway, I shou-"

A surge of pain seeped through Remorel like a lightning strike. It made him get on one knee and he lost control of his breathing.

"Remorel! Are you ok!?" Cadence asked in concern.

And as soon as it was there, it was gone.

"I...I need a break. I think I used to much magic at once." Remorel lied.

He got up and went back to his side of the field, sitting behind the gate and leaving a concerned Cadence and Shining Armor behind him.

'What was that?'

[Earth]

"NO! PLEASE! I CAN HEL-"

*splatter*

'The Light legion is weak, after that corruption spell I used on all of humanity, things have been going so much more smoothly. Some humans didn't want to help me in saving them. So I forced them, it's the only way.'

Dunmer looked at the soul in his hand, and swallowed it.

'Mmmmmm, more power. Now for that Angel of Life.'

Dunmer rushed down the rooms, sniffing at all of the rooms in the massive castle, the scent of power getting stronger with each passing room.

'Here.'

Dunmer smashed the door down with his claws, hitting something on the way in.

He looked down at Selina, clearly exhausted from fighting humanity.

Dunmer chuckled. He grabbed Selina by the throat.

Her armor was damaged severely, her spear was bent at an odd angle and she was coughing blood.

"Where are the souls?" Dunmer asked.

Selina didn't answer.

Dunmer squeezed her throat tighter.

"Where. Are. The. Souls?" Dunmer asked more harshly.

She quietly coughed out. "Burn in hell...."

Dunmer had enough, he snapped her neck and popped her head off with his claws.

All he wanted was her soul to track down Remorel, now he has it, in his palm.

The power to live forever.

He ate the soul and felt even more powerful.

It was time to hunt for the council souls.

This day, Human Will has defeated The Light Legion.

He will become humanity's savior.

Author's Notes:

Yay new chapter. Hope you all like it. But its about to become really busy here at home. So chapters will be slow, but I will continue updating this as much as possible.

I'm Remorel Pt.2

Remorel held his head in his boney hands, feeling like he got stabbed with a sword right in the eye. What could've caused that power fluctuation? No, he needed to concentrate on this fight. He still needs to face the Griffons and Dragons. And the Griffons were going to be easy, they had a militaristic setting, which he was all too familiar with.

But, a feeling of despair filled his mind. Like, he should know what it was, but he couldn't point it out. And that pain, that sudden surge of pain, was eating at him. It felt...familiar.

No, he needs to concentrate on this day. The "presentation", as Celestia apparently calls it, is still a priority. For him to get noticed by the ponies, and whoever else. So he's not viewed as evil.

"Welcome back my little ponies! Let us continue with this very special event!" Celestia spoke as everybody in the arena cheered.

'Round 2 already?' Remorel spoke in his head as he looked at the locker room clock.

'2:30? It's been an hour since round 1 already?'

Remorel slowly got up from his place on the bench and moved toward the gates again. Unfurling his wings and summoning his sword in his hand.

"Let round 2 begin! Please give a warm welcome to the Griffon Military!" Luna spoke loudly as a few Griffons came out of the opposing gate.

'They must be the most trained.' Remorel thought.

Each Griffon had a different set of claw colors, four had red claws, two had silver, and only one had gold.

'Must be a rank thing...' Remorel said to himself as he examined them from behind his gate.

Then as if on queue, his gate opened up.

He quickly took to the skies, bringing his sword in front of him, and embedding the sword hard into the ground. Looking up from his position, Remorel removed his sword from the ground and stood at his full height.

"Begin!" Luna shouted.

The Griffons with the red claws attacked first, quickly surrounding him on all sides.

'Military mind, they had this planned out so I couldn't hear. To bad for them, I used to command an army.'

Remorel flapped his wings, making a cloud of dust surround him as he disappeared from the attacking Griffons view, and flying high above them.

It took a moment for the Griffons to spot him, but it was to late, Remorel was already attacking from the air with his magic projectiles.

The red clawed Griffons couldn't do a thing to him, that is until the silver clawed Griffons joined in the fight.

'Getting a little anxious are we? Fine then.'

Remorel stopped his barrage, instead threw his sword not at the Griffons but beside them, sending a magical shockwave through the arena.

All the red clawed Griffons fell on to the ground, but the silver clawed ones saw the attack coming and avoided the shock wave.

Remorel flapped his wings and flew quickly towards them, catching them off guard. But they also charged him, bringing up thin but long swords.

As soon as Remorel's sword came into contact with the first thin sword, the Griffon was sent flying down into the ground. But the second one dodged before Remorel's sword could finish its swing. Although a bit staggered from the force.

The Griffon soon snapped back to reality once it saw its fellow comrade fall into the dusty ground, bringing up its sword and quickly flying towards Remorel.

Once Remorel confirmed the grounded Griffon was unconscious, he turned to deal with the other Griffon.

Only to be met with a claw to his skull.

That was the strange thing, as Death you would expect to not feel pain right? Well, he wasn't in his home realm anymore. Things change.

And boy did that Griffon do some damage.

Sure to Remorel the pain was not much, but the impact left him surprised and dazed, giving the Griffon time to plan.

The Griffon quickly seized the opportunity from Remorel's dazed state to uppercut him in the jaw, making Remorel kneel but not falter.

The Griffon was about to send another blow, but Remorel held his boney hand out and caught the fist. Making the Griffon tremble in fear.

'I will not be beaten by a fucking furry.'

A small amount of rage built up inside Remorel, as he launched a punch of his own, sending the Griffon hurling at the golden clawed Griffon, who easily avoided the incoming silver claw.

The silver claw was knocked out on impact of the wall. Leaving the golden claw the last to deal with.

The golden claw just stood there, not moving an inch. Like he was waiting.

Remorel hesitated, he usually waits for his opponents attack first. So he can asses their attack patterns. Was this Griffon doing the same?

The Griffon just walked closer to Remorel, not breaking eye contact, even if Remorel's face was still hidden.

When the Griffon was just two feet away from Remorel, the Griffon put out a hand.

"Hello Remorel, my name is Iron Sparks. And I'm the commander of the Griffon Kingdoms Military." Iron Sparks said in a feminine voice.

'Wait, she's female? Huh. I couldn't tell because of the haircut.'

As Remorel shook her hand, she stared into his void of a face. Looking in it with a curious face that Remorel saw easily.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to fight me?" Remorel asked.

"Nah, you have proven yourself to me easily ten times over. You even managed to beat Black Feather over there. He was even able to outperform me." Sparks said as she pointed to Black Feather, the Griffon that Remorel sucker punched to the wall.

"Alright then, I respect that. It was nice to meet you." Remorel said as he looked at Sparks with some caution, feeling like she might try to sneak an attack.

"Same here, we should meet again. I would love to know how to fight like you do in air, it was just so fascinating!" Sparks said as she waved a hand to Celestia.

"The Griffon Military has surrendered! Remorel has won round 2!" Luna shouted as the ponies cheered in excitement, and some 'boos' from the Griffons.

Iron Sparks gave a wink to Remorel as she punched one of the red claws to wake up.

Remorel felt his face heat up a little, something he has never felt before. He put a hand on his cheek.

'W-what is this feeling? It feels...so familiar....yet so far from it.'

He continued to look at Sparks as she dragged her men off the field, disappearing into the gate as it closed behind them.

Remorel did the same as he turned heel and went back to his gate, sitting on the bench as he played with this new feeling.

'What is this called...embarrassment? Is that what this is? It feels...good?'

Remorel just sat there playing with this new feeling. One he felt before yet still very new.

A memory filled his mind. One he almost forgot, a memory when he was recently given his title.

[Afterlife Realm, Castle of Judgment.]

'I think that's how fire is made...I could be wrong. Oh, I hope the professor isn't too hard on me this time.'

Way before humans existed, there was a power that combined life and death into one, judgment. The society's main focus was to make a supernatural society where stability and equality were at its main. Meaning life and death are equals.

The education focuses more on scientific and magical pursuit, although magic was the main outlook.

Remorel was young back then, he was just an average spirit in this realm, his job was to make the first set of humans Adam and Eve.

It didn't go so well, turns out a better student by the name Selina made more accurate models of humans. And hers were to be the new living set.

Remorel's? They were tossed away. Sent into the void. A common place for his shit to go if my superiors didn't approve. They even gave the void a nickname behind my back. "Remorel's throw-out realm." It was very insulting.

But that didn't mean Remorel was an idiot, far from it, he was actually second in his academy (just behind Selina) for "Most Achieved Deity."

Although he didn't know he was going to be death, nor did Selina know she was going to be Life. It was a wonder at the time.

'Aw crap i'm late for my spell training! Dam fire spells, so horribly destructive to cast!' Remorel scolded himself as he looked at the clock.

He could hear his professor, Hades, going on about some conjuration spells that can cause explosions behind the massive doors.

As Remorel pushed open the doors, they made a loud creaking noise that got everybody's attention, including Hades.

They all stared at him, making his face heat up.

"Remorel, just because you are one of the most academically awarded student in this academy, doesn't mean you can dawdle around before class!" Hades scolded Remorel in his malicious voice.

Everybody chuckled as Remorel found a seat. Trying to ignore everybody's stare.

Hades looked at Remorel with some disappointment, then continued on his lesson about conjuring.

Unfortunately, he sat next to Selina without realizing, and she knew how to tick him off easily.

"Hey, that was pretty funny, what were you doing anyways? Playing with yourself?" Selina chuckled as Remorel blushed harshly.

"I was practicing my fire spells thank you, I have lost practice recently." Remorel said as he mimicked Hades example of a conjuration spell.

[Back to the present.]

'Yeah, I remember now. I wish I can remember more, those were the good times. The times when I had good emotions.'

Remorel laid back on the bench, his back making contact with the wall.

His face was still pulsing with pain, he held his head with his boney hand. That Griffon did a number on him.

He relaxed a little, letting his healing ability do its work.

'I hope this day doesn't end with me getting scratched up.' Remorel hoped.

Author's Notes:

If your a furry lover please take the comment by Remorel to no offense, it just seemed fitting at the time.

I'm Remorel Pt.3

Remorel had some time to think before his last match between the dragons. Trying to understand 'embarrassment', which he seems to...sorta understand.

But after a while, it hurt to think with his face all scratched up. His healing was taking longer than he thought, and it was starting to annoy him.

He made his foot bounce up and down to occupy himself while he waits for the last round call. But he felt that something was off. He keeps hearing a voice in his head saying "The tide has turned into rain..."

He knows that voice, but it was to distorted to make it out.

...

Whatever, he needed to concentrate. He had the dragons to tend to. And he was getting more pissed as the voice in his head wasn't shutting up.

He got up from the bench, looked at the clock, and waited for the gates to open.

'Last round, I hope this ends quickly. I need to talk to Celestia about something...'

The gates opened and Remorel just walked out. Not in the mood for impressing anybody at this point, just wanting to end it.

The dragons seemed miss-mashed. There were some small ones mixed with two who reached the top of the stadium.

'How? There to big for the do- know what? I don't care at this point. Ponies have the capability to use magic, they must have used some to get the dragons in here.'

Remorel looked at the dragons, who then looked at him.

They started laughing uncontrollably.

Remorel just waited for them to finish.

A dragon approached Remorel, eyes full of tears from laughing to hard.

"Y-your who were supposed to fight!?" The dragon asked.

"Yes." Remorel answered in monotone.

"Did you not see what happened to the others? What makes you think you can beat me?"

The dragon smiled. "A little to confident eh? We're going to have so much fun...AREN'T WE BOYS!?"

The other dragons cheered and shouted...all except one.

"And gal? Eh? What about you Ruby?"

This dragon seemed to be the only female in the bunch, yet she seemed to be less than interested to even be here. More like she's uncomfortable.

When she spoke, she sounded more like she was sad or unmotivated.

"Yeah....sure Blackfire."

Blackfire, now that he learned, seemed dissatisfied with the answer. Actually more irritated. But brushed it off regardless.

"Whatever. BOYS! Let's show this 'Warrior of Bone' how we dragons do it!"

'"Warrior of Bone"? Oh great, not here for a week and I already have a nickname.' Remorel inwardly thought.

All the dragons charged, without Ruby, which caught Remorel off guard.

When they were in close proximity, they opened their mouths and released a blinding wall of flame.

The force behind the burst sent Remorel to the ground, making his sword as his leverage from falling over.

As the sword penetrated the ground, a burst of energy was released and caused a slight earthquake-like shake.

Remorel regained his stance and hilted his sword, bringing it above his head and crashing it into the ground, making sharp stones from the ground fly into the air, causing some of the dragons to land on the ground with force.

Remorel wasted no time and seized the opportunity to strike some of the dragons while they were down. He opened his hand and made some dark magic appear.

Remorel flung his hand outward toward the downed dragons.

The magic bullets exploded on contact with a loud bang.

Several shouts later and blind firing from the dragons, and after the smoke cleared, only a few dragons remained. The rest either sat against the wall or just laid on the ground, exhausted.

Blackfire stared at Remorel, with a look of fury in his eyes, roared and flew furiously at Remorel.

Remorel, again, wasn't ready for the rush. He tried to bring up his sword to block, but was just seconds too late as Blackfire smashed into Remorel.

Remorel impacted the ground making a crater in the arena, and causing a large cloud of dust to form around him.

Blackfire smiled triumphantly, while Ruby actually looked more worried but didn't let it show to Blackfire.

But...in the dust, a silhouette manifested itself from the cloud.

Remorel stood, sword drawn and looking very pissed.

Blackfire stopped smiling, and stared at Remorel.

The first thing he noticed was his eyes, an orange glow with a slight tinge of red.

Ruby was frightened, she didn't know what he was capable of. And she knew not to come.

But Blackfire on the other hand, was stubborn. He thought the other races were just weak, but now he was looking more concerned.

Remorel made more magic in his hand, except it was crimson red and left a heavy metallic scent in the air.

When Remorel released the magic, a fury of large bomb-like projectiles incinerated the ground and making a large wall of flame around Blackfire, making him unable to move or fly.

Remorel slowly walked to Blackfire, each step causing said dragon to rethink his decision of angering Remorel.

When Remorel was at the feet of the dragon, he closed his fist, making the vortex of flaming magic freeze in time.

"Surrender....or you'll feel pain worse than hell itself....." Remorel said coldly, and harshly.

Blackfire gulped, but stood his ground, still determined to make a final stand.

"Your choice..." Remorel then snapped his bony fingers and the vortex enclosed around Blackfire, making him scream in pain.

Then the vortex exploded, dropping the now unconscious dragon to the ground.

Ruby stood there, awestricken at the display Remorel showed.

Remorel then walked to Ruby.

Ruby noticed his eyes were now back to their white coloration, and the smell of metallic magic gone.

When he was about five feet away, Remorel stopped and looked as if he was waiting for something.

Ruby didn't know what to do, she was scared and terrified at Remorel, but wanted to let her friends think she was brave. Could she really beat this guy?

When Ruby didn't do anything, Remorel got closer.

Ruby trembled, his height clearly outmatching her.

Remorel was now a foot away, making Ruby close her eyes and crouch.

"I SURRENDER! PLEASE! DON'T HURT ME!"

...

'Huh?'

Ruby opened her eyes.

Remorel had a hand stretched out, like he wanted to shake hers.

Ruby couldn't believe it, was he actually letting her go?

They meet eyes.

Ruby looked into the white abyss of his eyes, seen so much and done so many things...he looked tired.

She could've sworn she saw something in those eyes, but couldn't put a claw on it.

"Are you ok?" Remorel spoke.

Ruby jumped, he was asking if she was ok?

"Uh...yeah. Yeah I'm fine." She responded.

"Why are you sparing me?"

"I can see your unwillingness to fight, I assumed you didn't want to be here in the first place, correct?" Remorel said.

'He knew?' She thought.

"Y-yeah...I....was a little out of it is all. Just didn't want to hurt you that's all!" Ruby said with some sweat on her head.

Remorel chuckled.

"Oh I'm sure, but seriously, are we going to fight or are we done?"

Ruby thought for a bit, then decided it was best to call it off.

"Yeah, I think it's best to call it off. I'm getting tired anyway."

As soon as she said that, Remorel rose his fist into the air. The crowed cheered, with some boo's mixed in.

"And the winner for the arena, Remorel!" Luna shouted.

Ruby looked at Remorel, his tall stature making her more...comfortable....no, safe.

'Safe? Why do I feel safe? I'm a dragon come on Ruby!' She scolded herself.

When Remorel was done, he looked at Ruby.

"We should hang out later, talk some more if you don't mind."

That caught her off guard. 'He wants to hang out? Well, it's not like I got anywhere else to go anyway...'

"Sure, I'll be around the gardens, if you want to hang just meet me there."

Remorel nodded, then turned and walked off.

Ruby looked around her, the guys were still knocked out.

'Ugh, after this I'm going to Canterlot Massage or something...'

And so she started dragging her friends from the arena one by one.

---Three hours later---

Remorel sat in his room, not bothering to go out yet.

He was pretty sure the city wanted to see him, but he had other plans.

He asked Luna and Celestia to give him some time to rest, since he used a small amount of blood magic to take out Blackfire...

'Jeez...I need to stop using that magic..' Remorel thought.

The chair he was sitting in was a bit small, but with a little help from magic, he made it to where he was able to fit.

It didn't help with the weight capacity though, and every move he made, the chair squeaked.

'The tide has turned to rain Remorel....'

The voice from earlier came back into his thoughts.

He knew the voice, but where has he heard it before?

Remorel decided it was best to get some rest, after today he's going to need it. Because tomorrow is going to be even more interesting.

'Ponies, Griffons, Dragons, Deities, what next? A three headed horse?'

And out the window a three headed bird appeared.

...well, guess that's close enough.

After that, he laid in bed until exhaustion took over, and went to rest.

Author's Notes:

Sorry I have been gone for so long, I had a major family crisis happen and devastated my whole family. So sorry for the overdue update, things are looking up though so I should be able to get back on my regular schedule.

Love.

"SQWAAAAAAAAAA!"

Remorel stirred.

"SQWAAAAAAAAAA!"

Remorel growled.

"SQWAAAAAAA-"

Remorel threw a magic projectile at the dam bird.

The bird was hit on the head, and took the hint to leave the window.

Remorel turned on his back, staring at the ceiling as he woke.

He looked at his armor, all scratched and worn from the previous day, even having scorch marks despite the armor being black.

"Dammit..." Remorel outwardly swore.

He should ask Celestia and Luna if he could repair his armor somewhere, he was pretty certain there was considering they have a guard.

His sword was gone again, probably with the princess's.

He might as well get up, he needs to meet Canterlot and its residence anyway.

Remorel stretched his arms and legs, feeling the soreness from yesterday's...event.

'Oh yeah, I needed to ask Celestia about that. Why she lied...'

He got up and moved to the door, opening it a small amount, checking if anybody else was around before he left.

After an all clear, he left his room. Closing the door behind him.

Remorel picked up the princesses magical trace, they know he's awake now.

He followed the princesses magical residue, getting stronger as he approached the dining room.

Once he was at the door he could smell a mixture of pancakes and bacon on the other side.

'Bacon? Oh that's right, they know I'm an omnivore. Wait, where did they get the bacon?'

He pushed the thoughts aside as he entered the room.

The delegates from the other nations were also here, eating the food the princess's servants provided.

The all stopped talking and looked up at Remorel, who in turn looked back.

An awkward silence filled the room.

"Good morning Remorel!" Luna said, breaking the silence.

"Our chefs made you your own plate, please take a seat and enjoy." Luna pointed a hoof between what looks like a small blue dragon with gold armor and a Griffon with black coloration in its feathers.

He sat between them. Overpassing there height.

"Remorel, I would like you to meet the leader of the dragon clan, Princess Ember, and the Commander of the Griffon Kingdom, Iron Sparks." Celestia motioned to them with a hoof.

"I believe we have already meet, Remorel~." Iron Sparks said in a voice...that sounded a little too seductive.

The dragon Princess, Ember was it? Just looked at them and snorted.

"Aw come on Ember, introduce yourself and shake his hand." Iron Sparks urged.

"I will not shake hands with my enemy..." Ember spoke.

"What?" Remorel said a little surprised by her response, but he knew enough already about the dragons to not be TOO surprised.

"You beat my best, and you even convinced one of them to surrender, you made them disgrace the name of 'Dragon'." Ember spoke harshly.

Remorel thought for a moment, then looked at Ember directly.

"I did beat your best, but think of it this way. I was able to beat your best, wouldn't you want an ally who is able to defeat the best of the ponies, the best of the griffons, and the best of the dragons?"

Ember looked down at her plate, deep in thought.

"I guess I never considered that part..." Ember spoke softly.

Remorel inwardly smiled. "Then don't think of me as an enemy, think of me as an ally."

Remorel put out a hand, waiting for Ember to make a decision.

"Very well, on this day I make allies with the Bone Warrior." She smiled as she took Remorels hand and shook it.

'Oh god that name is going to stick isn't it?' Remorel thought.

"Now that everypony is here, I would like to continue this meeting." Celestia spoke as she took a bit from her blueberry pancake.

Luna spoke up. "There have been some heavy magical frequencies occurring all over Equis. And each pulse seems to get stronger by the day."

"These pulses seem to happen every Friday at 3:30pm. Without missing a beat. The amount of pulses is similar to an earthquake, but the force is very weak, like as if it's dying once it reaches a certain speed." Celestia said with a worrying look.

"The force wasn't noticeable until Remorel appeared here in Equestria. And that was over a week ago, and the last recorded pulse was yesterday on Friday, 3:30pm Measuring at about 2,000 MPPS." (Magic Pulses Per Second.) Luna spoke.

"That is the strongest natural magic pulse to date. The previous magic pulse record was only about 1,450 MPPS, and never reached over." Luna finished.

Celestia looked at Remorel. "Would you happen to know what these pulses are?"

Remorel put a hand on his chin. "Something similar like this happened in my realm, my highest recording of it was about 4,560 MPPS. But that was after the Third World War."

All silence returned.

"World war? What do you mean?" Iron Sparks asked.

Remorel realized his mistake. And was quick to correct it. "It doesn't matter right now, ill teach you all history later. But again, that was my highest recording."

Celestia seemed hesitant, but continued with the previous subject.

"Your realm measured 4,560 MPPS, and still managed to live?"

"Yeah, the pulses themselves only happened in one area, but again, that's another story." Remorel stated.

Luna put down her fork as she finished her plate.

"We will need to do some more research in this phenomena. So we can prevent world destruction." Luna stated.

"I agree Lulu, I think this meeting is concluded." Celestia said as she got up.

'Well that wasn't long.' Remorel thought.

The other delegates left to wander the halls of the castle or left entirely. That left only Luna, Celestia, and Remorel alone In the room.

Remorel decided to ask Celestia the question that has him bugged.

"Celestia, may I ask why you lied to me about only the pony staff and guards attending the arena?"

"Because I knew you would say no to the question if it popped up. I only did it to get you used to the public eye is all, I'm sorry for lying though, I never really had a choice since I wasn't the one who contacted the delegates..." Celestia eyed Luna for a bit, who blushed heavily.

"I guess I can accept your apology, things happen. And two more questions."

"Go on." Celestia said.

"Where is my sword?" Remorel asked.

"Its locked up for now, I'm still not entirely certain you should be trusted, but give it time, you will be armed again. Now your second question?" Celestia asked.

'I guess I can understand, I did show off my blood magic, probably wasn't a very wise choice.' Remorel scolded himself.

"My last question is do you know where I can repair my armor? I like to keep it in pristine condition."

Celestia was about to answer, but Luna interjected.

"I can show you where we repair our armor! Its the finest forge in all of Equestria! I made sure of it myself." Luna said with some gleam in her eye.

Celestia chuckled. "If you want Luna you can show him there."

"Really? Thank you Tia! Come on Remorel, let's go fix your armor." Luna said as she dragged him along.

Celestia smiled as she looked at the cart of pastries.

'I really shouldn't, but one isn't going to hurt. Right?'

-----Canterlot Castle Forge-----

The smell was great, to have a great forge it has to have a smell. And the smell of molten metal gave a good sign of a loved forge.

Remorel followed Luna through the forge, very big considering the amount of guards that actually need a forge this big.

The pair stopped at an empty room, filled with tools needed to make, clean, polish armor and weapons.

They both walked in and closed the door behind them.

"Wow, one room for everything huh? That's impressive." Remorel commented.

"What, didn't you have a forge like this?" Luna asked.

"No, it wasn't nearly as big or organized. It was made for mass production, not quality. That's why I made my own armor." Remorel said as he pointed at himself.

Luna thought inwardly. 'Wait...he needs to take off the armor to clean and fix it, ill be the first to see him bare! Oooo, such a privilege!' She blushed lightly as she thought.

"Whelp I guess it's time to get to work." Remorel said as he stood up.

Luna heard some clicks, then his front chest plate fall to the ground.

Remorel picked it up and set it on the table as he removed each piece of armor one by one.

Luna was shocked to see him in his...full exposed form.

He wasn't completely bone, his head, right arm, and both legs were bone. His body and waist and left arm were made up of what looks like solid magic.

He was facing away from her as he casted a spell that made his lower body turn black.

"What was that?" Luna asked.

"Hm? Oh yeah, you know nothing of the body's species I'm using. You see, the species which this body is formed is called human. And the reason I have my lower body masked is because of the exposed genitalia humans have. I can't really change that at all."

Luna blushed heavily.

"O-oh. I...that's good to know." Luna struggled to speak.

She decided to examine him more, his face was probably a human skull, his eyes were still white and glowing. His torso was what caught her attention though.

She stared at it longer than she should, and Remorel brought her back to reality.

"Hey, are you ok?" He asked.

Luna blushed as she asked the question.

"What is your chest made out of?" She asked hesitantly.

Remorel stared for a second, then answered.

"Its hardened magic, and some metal. That's pretty much it."

Luna continued to stare.

"C-can I.....touch you?" Luna asked hesitantly.

Remorel halted, the question surprised him more than the first time he learned how to use magic.

"I...um....sure....hold out your hoof."

Luna did as she was told. Sticking her hoof out for Remorel.

Remorel took it and slowly placed it on his upper chest.

Luna felt the cold surface of his chest, his breathing, his beating heart...

"You have a heart?" Luna asked.

Remorel seemed disappointed at her question. "I'm immortal, not heartless. I took the form of a human you see, so body parts are converted over."

"I'm sorry....it was a stupid question." Luna hung her head low.

Remorel put a hand on her chin and lifted up.

"No, your ok. You didn't know. Don't bust yourself up." Remorel brought her into a hug.

She was slightly startled, but let herself fall in the embrace.

She felt something other than cold, it was faint, but was there. A slight warmth near his beating heart.

Author's Notes:

To better understand MPPS, since it will be applied in some future chapters, think of it as radiation waves. Some magic in the show shows how the magic is casted as a beam, or in waves. MPPS is magic in waves, whenever something massively magical happens (Ex: Remorel the God of Death entering a world with weaker magic than him.) It shoots waves. The planet (Equis) has its own magical pulse, that explains the exact schedule. It stores up and releases on the same date every week. To make it into a beam, it needs to be concentrated, but the beam still has waves in it, just aimed and more generalized than pulses.

http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/5a/Celestia_about_to_transfer_her_magic_S4E26.png/revision/latest?cb=20140512101900

You can see the burst then the wave as Celestia uses magic.

It's dangerous to have MPPS reach over 5,000 in a magic rich planet, if overstimulated, the planet could potentially die from to powerful magic pulses.

(I like applying logic to magic, it makes it not hurt my head more XD)

Shaded No More.

Author's Notes:

No I'm not dead. Calm those sweet titties~
And I know its short, but at least its out there.

Remorel and Luna spent hours in the forge repairing any damages Remorel sustained during his fights. Luna asked him questions, specifically on his anatomy. How was he able to produce artificial tissue? Yet still have the ability to use magic? She asked those questions a lot. And he answered simply with "I'm a god, remember?"

That really wasn't what she wanted, but she knew he was avoiding the question. He is Death, and she can't change that.

'Funny, here I thought I was isolated. He can't go home, and he has an odd form that makes him alone as far as I know.' Luna thought.

She snapped back to reality when Remorel brought all of his armor back and dropped it on the workbench, causing a loud bang to almost give her a heart attack.

"Hey Luna, do you think I'm old?" Remorel asked.

Luna was taken back at the strange question. Surly he was kidding.

"No, I don't think you're old." She responded trying to sound like she was complimenting him than stating a fact.

"I mean, I know I'm Death and how I'm over 6 million years old, but...do I sound old?" He asked.

"Your voice is deep, but it sounds like a 20 year old pony...with a deep voice. Why are you asking me this?" Luna's question seemed to settle in Remorels mind.

"It's just, I want to have a normal life like everybody else."

Luna studied him, he looked like he was uncomfortable.

"Remorel, what's going on?"

Remorel sat in a nearby chair.

"I...feel like something bad is going to happen. And it got me thinking, 'Will you have a normal life once you gather your bearings Remorel?' or 'Will you even be able to pass on the torch, have a child that can follow in your footsteps?' You see, I know I'm a god, but how can I even exist without knowing who will be my heir?"

It struck Luna like lightning, what happens if Remorel, the God of Death, manages to get himself into a situation where a heir has to take over?

"I...don't know..." Luna responded.

---Everfree---

*sniff*

*sniff* *sniff*

*SLASH* *WOLF CRY*

'Where oh where are you Remorel, I know your here, hiding among the peaceful.'

*crunch*

Dunmer crushed the timberwolves head in as he eats the manticore heart he won earlier.

'Mmmmmmmmmm....I can sense it, the power. No wonder your here.'

Dunmer exposed his wings and headed off towards Ponyville.

'Humanity...will...live on....'

"Follow me! I will lead you to glory!" Dunmer yelled to his deformed, and brainwashed humans.

"EeeEEEAAAhAAHAHAggg!" They all yelled in sync.
---Castle forge---

Luna watched Remorel bang on his sword, each strike making the sword stronger, and thinner. Remorel seemed to be making his armor less bulky and wide to a more thinner model. He also wanted his sword to be re-adjusted to accompany his new armor.

Luna had to give it to him, he knows how to make metal into art.

The design Remorel scratched into his chest plate resembled a crow, or a raven. The 'Bird of Death' as he calls it.

"Luna, water please." Remorel asked.

Luna didn't mind helping Remorel, even if she is a princess, she's more interested in Remorel's work than her own status.

She grabbed some water from a bucket and gave some to Remorel, who used magic to make the water turn black and sketch a design in the sword.

Luna watched as the liquid quickly etched a design into Remorels new sword.

It quickly ran down the sword, making a discorded noise as it went from the hilt to the tip of the length.

A new rune replaced the previous one, although Luna didn't really know what It meant....

It was circular, with many lines within it. But the center was left as a square.

"Hey, Remorel, what does that rune mean?" Luna asked.

Remorel looked at the rune.

"It means....I....don't know actually." Remorel stared at it for a few seconds before un-manifesting it.

Luna looked at him, confused. But brushed it off.

Remorel grabbed his armor and put each one on. Then making his lower half of his body disappear.

Luna looked at the new armor, it was less bulky. More slim and detailed than his older version.

"Shall we go back to Celestia, Luna?" Remorel walked to the door.

"Yeah, we have been down here for a while." Luna followed Remorel out of the room, then out the forge.

---------------Four hours later-----------

Remorel was eating a plain salad, reason? There was gest in the castle. Around dinner time a few invitations were sent out around Canterlot, mostly nobles.

And Remorel had his fair share of nobles, mostly humans.

He liked the humans, just not the rich and powerful. They tend to get carried away by a large amount of power.

He was sitting between Celestia and Luna, to keep him in check. Even though they themselves don't like some of the nobles. Including one who was called Blueblood.

He was there nephew, but his status in the royal family got him corrupted, and now he brags and boast about it. To everybody available.
That's not the worst part, and Remorel learned not to ask him questions regarding the economy. Because he will get upset and complain about something completely off topic. Also....

HE WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.

"-and she told me 'I'm sorry Prince, but I don't have the funds to pay you back!' So I rose her tax by 4%, and has to pay it by next week so I can get my haircut done. Oh! I almost forgot about this one rude stallion-"

He just goes on and on...and Remorel wished he could just sew his mouth shut tenfold. And nail them to make sure he will never speak again...or for dinner to end. Whichever comes first.

Remorel was just about to snap when the main doors burst open, revealing an exhausted looking bat pony.

The bat pony had multiple scars and was bleeding in several places, it also seemed to be burnt slightly on one side.

"Y...your....majesties....Hollow Shades.....has fallen..." He passes out on the floor.

A piece of parchment rolled on the floor, a few guards took the bat pony away to get him medical attention. Luna was the first to react to the parchment, and unrolled it with her magic.

Remorel and Celestia joined in the letter.

"To all available assists. I, Dark Star, current mayor of Hollow Shades, request immediate reinforcements on an unknown enemy who call themselves 'Human'. They are hairless, tall, aps. Except for one who looks like their leader. I have sent a messenger to the capitol Canterlot to deliver this message. Please, they are falling back to regroup, we won't have much time to prepare and all of our guards are either dead, or to traumatized to fight. ~Dark Star"

Remorel was silent as the entire room was filled with confusion and concern. Celestia read the note allowed, which only brought more confusion.

'...they are here....he is here....' Remorel thought.

Luna looked up at Remorel. "Remorel? Are you ok?" She waved a hoof at him.

His eyes flashed back into attention. "No....I'm not ok..."

"What, what's happening? Do you know what a human is?" Luna asked with increasing worry.

"They are no longer human....they are corrupted beast lead by a mad ruler....who must be brought to the light..." Remorel said almost in a chant like state.

"...Remorel, I don't know what's happening. Is...is this a declaration of war?"

Remorel didn't have time to pester the question. "Yes. They are declaring war on Equestria itself..."

Luna's eyes shrank. "Equestria hasn't had a war in 4,000 years! That is frowned upon by our society! We seek peaceful and try to negotiate our problems...sometimes..." Luna spoke the last word silently, remembering Celestia's story about Queen Chrysalis. (Seriously...where the fuck was Luna?)

Remorel clenched his fist, something he hasn't done in a long time. "....We need to get to Hollow Shades."

Hunting in the Hallow.

Hallow Shades was a relatively long tread, the train doesn't go through there due to the bat ponies wanting to be isolated, that and they wanted peace and quiet. Now however, it was going to be the loudest part of Equestria.

Hallow shades wasn't hard to find, mainly because of the burning houses and smoke that lit around the entire town. Most of the residence was either in the salvageable houses, or was putting out the fires.

It was horrible.

Luna, Remorel, and a platoon of guards went to reinforce. They arrived and was greeted by a few bat pony guards.

The situation was calm for the most part, but half of the population was missing. Not killed due to being no blood or extra body parts.

"We received word of a group of enemy forces running in the hallow, with citizens in there capture..." One of the regular pony guards with an injured bat pony guard.

"Do we know where they went?" Remorel asked.

"North, in the Hallow Forest. But they have a force stronger than our own...." The bat pony guard weakly said.

"I'll go alone, the rest of you need to take care of these citizens." Remorel said as he was summoning his sword.

"But....Remorel....you can't go alone...." Luna said with some sadness.

"It's ok Luna, I need you to stay here to protect these ponies." Remorel said with slight order.

The guards tensed as Remorel ordered a princess.

"Ok Remorel...." She turned and walked slowly to a safe house in the center of the small town.

'Now...where is that basterd?' Remorel thought to himself.

He was about to go into the Hallow but was stopped by a few terrified looking bat ponies.

"S-sir?" One of the female bat ponies asked timidly.

"P-please, bring my daughter back...she is all I have left now after...those things killed my husband" She started bawling, her eyes quickly turning from beautiful amethyst slits to red as tears streamed down her face.

Remorel got on one knee, still looking down from his height, but close enough to comfort her. The other bat ponies backed away, afraid from the dark being so close to one of their own.

Remorel placed his metal glove on her shoulder, she looked up with some slight fear in her eyes.

"I will do whatever I can to bring her back, I promise."

That one sentence brought her to hug Remorel, she cried in his arms and chest, she didn't even care if he was armored, she wanted to show her appreciation to him.

"By the way, what's your name miss?" Remorel asked as he stroked her hair, she pushes into his hand with delight.

"M-my name is Platinum, and my daughters name is Shadow Rise." She responded as she pulled away from his chest.

"Hello Platinum, my name is Remorel." Remorel frizzled the bat ponies hair and summoned his sword. The new sleek, longer and more light design made it look more intimidating somehow.

He walked into the Hallow, making every step act like he was about to enter a war.

--------------

After about twenty minutes or so, he finally encountered a cave with the mutated humans standing guard.

Now that he knows what's here, he took some time to study them, and they looked like abominations.

Since some of his essence and apparently Selina's essence were stolen, Dunmer was able to create life, by using death. Now how does that work?

'I think the early humans called them the living dead? Or zombies...I think.' Remorel thought.

Although, they weren't what he was expecting. He was expecting something more of decaying corpses walking around, dumb as can be.

These zombies had weapons, and were actually on guard, they had the expected appearance, just not the attitude.

He decided to act quickly, considering he doesn't know how many zombies there are, since the human population reached over 9 billion by the time Armageddon reached it's peak...who knows how many can be in this one cave.

Remorel swiftly and stealthily killed both decayed humans, taking their souls to make sure all that was left was a useless shell of a body, putting the soul in the sword for storage. He then entered the cave.

'Hopefully these ponies are not dead by the time I get there...' Remorel silently pleaded.

---------

Obviously, there was more than what he wanted. Each turn he would make there would be almost a group of around 10-14 zombies, all armed with swords and muskets with bayonets.

Taking them all out was a chore, but Remorel had to be quick....so quick was he.

It only took him around 10 minutes to clean and claim around 200 souls. Not a pretty trail he left behind, all crimson and the smell of rotting flesh.

But he can hear something other than the groans of the living dead, crying and pleading.

He rushed where the sounds are, and gawked slightly at what he saw.

Several bat ponies hanged from the ceiling, being skinned, gutted, and displayed like trophies.

What made him disturbed, was that a majority were young...

Several zombies, including a really big brute of one, all turned and faced him, and begun drawing their weapons as well.

He drew his sword, and set it ablaze...

"Todos ustedes volverán a mí ... Ustedes permanecerán muertos, porque su día de juicio ya ha sido decidido ..." Remorel said in anger...his magic at work...

--------

Remorel breathed smoke from his mouth, his sword drawing in souls of the dammed. His entire body from his hood down to the very bottom of his steel boots shinned in red. The heavy smell of blood filled the room, and whimpering could be heard.

That drew Remorel's attention, he looked behind him and saw four ponies, only one of them was young...

She was crying, looking at all the blood, the adults looking like they just saw the entire world explode before their eyes.

Remorel approached the cage they were trapped in, and broke the lock off with a swing of his sword.

The bat ponies hesitated, until Remorel un-manifested his sword. They slowly inched out and looked up at him with fear.

He looked down at the little bat pony "Is your name Shadow Rise?"

The pony seemed confused "Yeah...why?"

"Your mother asked me to pick you and your friends up, I'm taking you home."

She stared at him, then jumped on him and hugged his neck.

"P-please! I want to see mommy! I want my mommy!" She cried on his shoulder.

Remorel looked at the other ponies, they to almost looked liked they were about to cry.

"Lets go then, and Shadow...do not look up no matter what.." Remorel placed a hand on her head to keep her on his shoulder, due to the massive amount of gore and blood.

The other bat ponies followed quickly, occasionally gasping at the display.

-------

They finally reached back to Hallow Shades, Remorel finding Platinum and giving Shadow back to her. The other bat ponies found their families and reunited.

Platinum thanked Remorel, with a kiss.

He never blushed, he never thought he could, but he did, and he kind of liked it.

Luna decided to bring the remaining residence of Hallow Shades to Cantorlot, since it was to dangerous for them to be living here anymore.

Shadow was all to happy, she wanted to spend time with her hero after all.

Luna and Remorel sat down on the ground, awaiting the airship Luna ordered.

"There was more that were taken...are they...?"

"Yes...and a horrible and disrespectful death they had..." Remorel sad with some sadness.

"You did what you could, you have my eternal thanks." Luna said as she hugged him.

"Just know that everybody can't be saved...there will need to be some sacrifices."

Remorel looked down at her, curiously.

He brushed her mane, making her fall asleep.

---------

The airship was big, first of its kind apparently.

Remorel had to lift Luna up onto it, and had her lay in his lap on the way home.

'Home? So I'm calling Cantorlot my home now? Heh, guess that would make sense.'

But something was gnawing at him, Dunmer had to be around somewhere...

Author's Notes:

BOOM. That just happened.

Little Bats.

Soon after arriving in Cantorlot, the airship broke.

'Seriously, all that and now it breaks? At least nobody got hurt.'

*whack* "OW! Wood hurts!" A pony yelled after leaving the airship.

'...at least it's not on fire.'

A spark appeared in the blades, igniting the wood.

"Get the fire brigade!"

...ok, stop thinking about the airship.' Remorel scolded himself.

"Yeah, its not the most efficient way of travel, but it carries the largest amount of ponies." Luna said as she trotted up next to Remorel.

"Yeah, and break down halfway and use balloons as a supplement for the blades? Floating dangerously close to the mountain tops?" Remorel retorted.

"Well..." She looks down in defeat, a small blush appearing.

"Don't worry, you have magic. So its much easier than technology right?" Remorel said as he watched several small ponies play with the new bat pony arrivals.

"Yeah, we don't necessarily focus on technology that much." Luna looked ahead to the castle.

Remorel couldn't help but laugh as the young bat ponies played with the regular ponies.

"Well, I haven't seen anything that adorable in a while." Remorel commented as he watched.

Luna smirked. 'For a creature who holds the title of Death, he has some of the cutest weaknesses.'

They approached the castle entrance, the guards allowing them in without hesitation.

They walked up the white steps and entered, some bat ponies already inside and being directed to rooms by the guards. And speaking of guards, the bat pony guards were being ordered to protect and patrol the rooms that were currently being occupied by the bat newcomers.

"Mister Remorel!"

Remorel turned around and saw Platinum with Shadow, they approached him quickly and with happiness spread all over their faces.

Shadow flew up and wrapped her hooves around Remorel's neck while Platinum watched without concern.

"T-thank you Remorel! You saved me from those things! I was so scared, I thought I was going to die..." She planted her face deeper in his neck.

"There there little one... Your safe now from those evil creatures now, I promise you they can't hurt you anymore." Remorel patted her back lightly.

"T-thank you...thank you..." She sobbed with a smile on her face.

Platinum was crying tears of joy, seeing her daughter so happy to have a hero hold her. Luna was smiling, not because of the event that was happening now, but because Remorel has finally made 'Death' not so scary anymore.

But...that is to still be decided.

"Remorel, don't you think it's time for a good rest? I'm beat to Tartarus and back." Luna suggested.

"I suppose. We can hang out tomorrow if you want Shadow, by your mothers permission of course."

Shadow looked behind her from Remorel's shoulder to Platinum, who gave a smile and nodded her head.

Shadow "Eeeeee'd" with glee, and hugged Remorel one final time before waving goodbye, and exiting with her mother to the bat pony sanction.

For once, Remorel had a reason to fight. Not that protecting the afterlife wasn't bad, just...something that he can hold...and feel.

Luna tugged on one of his wings "C'mon Remorel, it's time to go."

Remorel followed Luna to the bed chambers, her going to her room, and him to his.

Sleep soon took over Remorel and he accepted it with the upmost comfort. Letting his mind drift in the universe.

---------

Around the middle of the night, Remorel was woken up by a slight tapping at his chamber door.

"Hmmm...If that's Lenore, I'm going to have a serious talk with Poe..." Remorel groggily walked to the door and opened it slightly.

He looked out and saw Shadow, her face filled with fear, her body slightly shaking.

"R-Remorel...I can't sleep after I had a nightmare...so I...followed your scent and was wondering...can I sleep with you for tonight?"

Sadly, Remorel's first thought was 'I have a scent?'. But after her explanation, he gave a more...appropriate answer.

"Well, does your mother know your here?"

"N-no....and I'm to scared to go back..." Shadow looked downward.

'Oh Divines...that's so adorable...' Remorel inwardly thought.

"*sigh* Fine you can sleep with me, but if I get chewed out by your mother, it's on you, deal?" Remorel picked Shadow up and looked her dead in the eye.

She smiled and "EEEEEEEEEE'D~" in the most adorable way possible. Making Remorel's heart melt and die over again.

'Is love the word for this feeling, if it is, I love it!' Remorel carried Shadow into his room and placed her on his chest as he laid down.

Shadow snuggled into his chest and feel asleep almost instantly, Remorel placed his covers over her body to keep her warm.

*SNORT*

'The fuck?'

Remorel looked down to see Shadow snoring.

If Remorel had real eyes, they would be glazed and big at how adorable Shadow's snoring is.

But soon enough, Remorel felt the need to sleep, and so he went, returning to the Dream Realm.

-----
Remorel had no clue how he woke up, but he had an idea who did.

Shadow was currently bouncing on his belly, waking him up from his deep slumber.

"Remorel! Wake up! You need to wake up!"

She bounced harder on his belly, making her bounce higher into the air.

Remorel surprised her by catching her mid bounce.

"Ok, ok. I'm awake."

Remorel released his grip on her as he stretched his wings, making several pops echo through the room.

Shadow just sat and watched.

"Alright little one, what do you want to do today?" Remorel said as he put on his armor.

"Weeeeellll, we need to see mommy. Then we can go hang with the princesses." Shadow suggested.

"Sounds fair, hop on my shoulder and I'll take you to your mother."

Shadow did as she was told, flying to Remorel's shoulder and planting herself comfortably there.

"Alright, lets go find Platinum." Remorel said as he folded his wings back.

-----

The bat ponies were conversing with the normal ponies. Occasionally, a bat pony would wave at Remorel as he passed. Remorel would wave back.

A few minutes passed as they walked in the bat pony sanction, and finally found Platinum Rise.

"Hey look, there's mommy!" Shadow pointed with her hoof.

Platinum was talking to a few guards as Remorel approached. They looked up and greeted Remorel.

"Hello Remorel, hope you had a nice rest. Wait...is this the young bat you were talking about miss?" One of the guards pointed at Shadow.

"Shadow? Where did you go last night? I thought you ran away or worse!" Platinum scolded Shadow.

"I'm sorry mommy, but I had a nightmare and I went to Remorel, it was scary getting to his room...and I thought it was scary going back so I asked Remorel to see if I could sleep with him for the night..."

Shadow looked at Platinum with some sorrow, and an apologetic look on her face.

"Well...at least you didn't wander off...but you are still being punished, so no more plums for a week."

Shadow groaned "Uuuuuugh....fine."

Platinum then looked at Remorel "I'm so sorry you had to deal with her, if she was any trouble I will make up for it."

"No need, if anything, she was actually quite fun. We did make a few guards chase a red dot that I summoned." Shadow giggled slightly.

Platinum just shook her head "For a god Remorel, you sure are silly. Still, I appreciate you took care of her."

"It was no issue Platinum."

The guards departed, but one stopped and turned to Remorel.

"What was that about 'A few guards chasing a red dot, that YOU summoned?'

Remorel just looked at the guard "Entertainment."

The guard just stared back at Remorel...
...
...
...
They both started laughing.

'Joy...that's this feeling...it feels so nice and warm...'

The guard departed as Shadow tugged on Remorel's hood. "Want to go see the princesses?"

"Yeah, I need to ask them both something anyway."

They left for the princesses, Platinum staying close behind, Remorel understandably knowing why.

That same sensation sank back into Remorel, alertness, the feeling of hostility, the constant thought of an attack.

Where the hell is that feeling coming from?

-------

Dunmer watched through the scope of a zombies sniper, finger off the trigger.

"We move next morning, let him have his moment with those pest..." Dunmer ordered as he walked back into the Everfree.

The zombie grunted as a response, still looking through the scope as its finger glided under the trigger.

Dunmer watched his army move supplies consisting of rifle ammo, lots of swords, and spell books.

'This is the new purification for humanity, and soon, I will be its rightful ruler.'

Dunmer spoke a sequence of words as he turns himself invisible, and walks deeper into the forest.

Author's Notes:

Well that took a while, and sorry if it seems rushed. Holidays, what can I say eh?

The Voice of the Forest.

As the light dies of Life, Death takes that light and makes it transparent.

Dunmer looked around at his army, the Undead carrying supplies and ammunition to others who need it.

"Guess the United States and Chinese military advancements and strategy got me this far." Dunmer looked at one Undead, its head was rotten but its brain hard wired for commands and expertise killing.

They cleared out most of the Everfree of its inhabitants. Whatever stayed and defended its home was killed and skinned. The fur was mostly used as tent patching or other means of defense. And the meat should be obvious. The Undead don't waste anything.

Bones...meat...and the intestines...so visible...

Just like what happened to his wife...

He can remember that fateful day when he was out with his daughter and wife on a family outing in the German country.

The day when the first trumpet sounded from the heavens...

-----

"Daddy! I found a four leaf clover! Can you put it in my hair?"

Dunmer took the clover and placed it in his twelve year old daughters hair. Her green eyes matched the clover, her black hair contrasted both to make them pop. She was beautiful.

His wife watched with a happy smile, her warm, and motherly smile...

Her eyes a light blue, her hair blond. Her smile...it was so addictive like any drug. You couldn't get enough of it..

Then...out of nowhere...a trumpet as loud as God himself when he parted the seas, sounded as the suns rays breached the overcast day.

The clouds parted and it started to rain fire, angles came down bearing arms and armor of gold and silver.

But that wasn't all, the Holy Spirit herself landed at Dunmer's feet, her spear at his neck as the angles who followed her killed his wife and daughter in front of him.

Her holy spear penetrated his flesh like butter, no pain, no sound. Just emptiness.

They purged his soul, and yet did not take it...

Then the demons came, overseen by a large black raven. The Bird of Death himself overseeing the holy purge.

They too also killed, but mutilated the souls and body's. Then the Holy Spirit and Death Bird met face to face.

And the War of Heaven started, Armageddon.

It was only when 5 million souls left to be collected did the two forces stop. Dunmer on one knee in the middle of a wasteland vowed to restore what has been taken. Humanity.

It was unjust, unfair, and his daughter was only twelve. Why oh why couldn't she at least live to have a man of her own? A family she can experience herself, the choice was taken away...

Vengeful, he took up battle stations against both forces, demons and angles alike. Once there was only 3 million, they called off the war, now souls were business. Dunmer requested an extended life for sentimental reasons. And everybody got a seventy year longer lifespan.

Then, the lie he told Selina, the perfect silver tongue, to set her off and distract Remorel while Dunmer drained both powers and kept them secret for so long...

-----

Now, those memories haunt him like ghost, he knows what he must do. He needs to revive Humanity, he wants to revive his daughter...

'Daddy, come play with me...'

A voice drew him from his post. It took him deeper into the forest, him forgetting the army and concentrated on following the all to familiar voice.

He kept following the voice as mossy stones appeared from the ground.

'Daddy, welcome to my home...'

Dunmer looked and gawked at what he sees.

A cathedral like castle. Its ruins still look like it can fend off a rampant force of over a thousand.

Dunmer walked up the great stone steps as he approached the castle doors, he stepped in as the doors opened for him.

He stared at all the décor that was inside, completely a turn around from the outside.

There was a red rug in the hallway from his place at the door. Chandeliers light the roof of the castle from their place. Paintings glare down at Dunmer as he passes them.

Then, Dunmer felt a powerful presence, not quite as powerful as Remorel or Selina, but powerful enough for him to be intrigued.

He looked around for the source, and at the end of the red rug was a throne. In the throne was a green orb with a slight purple aurora.

He approached the orb, its colors pulsating as if it was a heartbeat. Each step made excitement a prime factor at his continual approach.

When he made it before the throne, the orb stopped pulsating and seemed to take notice of his presence.

'Daddy, the gods have destroyed our home...so we now can take what they did to ours to them...let us show these beings what happened to you, please daddy, for me?' The voice said without addressing where he was, and why he was here.

But Dunmer had the urge to say "Yes, my daughter."

-----

Remorel watched as the princesses played chess. For the tenth time in a row.

So far, Luna was winning by three.

"Haha! The score has been quadrupled!" Luna yelled and raised a hoof.

'Ok, make that four ahead of Celestia.'

Celestia was legitimately getting annoyed by her sisters bragging, and jealous of her expertise.

Remorel could sense the emotions from a mile away. And yet, Celestia kept her mask on as she smiled.

"Well done sister, you beat me again. Guess I'll let you have the fudge cake with extra cream tonight." Celestia said through gritted teeth.

Luna smiled and picked up her chess board, and left the room with a wide smile on her face.

Celestia dropped the mask and sighed, she laid down on the ground and stretched despite the odd position.

"See what I mean? She hasn't lost a single match from anypony. Even if they know all the tricks, Luna seems to know more." Celestia whined.

Remorel chuckled and thought 'To see such a powerful individual in such a way...' he would've died right there and then if this was Selina.

now they were alone in the room, the sun lowering steadily on the horizon.

Celestia used her magic to lower it, her spell dropped when the moon came out and took its place.

"Guess that's it for me tonight, tomorrow we need to figure out what happened to Hallow Shades, oh those poor ponies..." She spoke in a depressed tone, even making Remorel slightly sad.

"Yeah, I will get on that when the first ray of sunshine touches the sky. You can count on me princess." Remorel got up from his sitting position and went to exit the room.

"Remorel, wait." Celestia called out.

Remorel stopped and turned to see Celestia in her bed, covers slightly under her waist.

'More embarrassment, what's going to happen...' Remorel thought.

"Yes Celestia, what do you need?"

"Can...can you sleep here for tonight? I don't want to be alone..." Celestia spoke quietly.

"Can your sister do that?" Remorel asked, slightly more blunt sounding than he wanted.

"Well, she handles night court. So she's usually busy..."

"Why not one of your guards?" Remorel kept asking, more curious.

"They don't do anything unless ordered...I don't want to order them.."

Remorel sighed "Ok, I guess I can stay"

She smiles "Oh thank you, please, there is enough room for you too." She slides over to make room for Remorel.

He snaps his boney fingers, his armor and weapon disappearing. All that there was were black jeans with burn marks.

Remorel climbs into bed with Celestia at his side, she smiles as she snuggles into him.

'How...did this happen so quick?'

Not long after that thought, he can hear Celestia snoring into his chest.

He looks down at her, her drool already forming upon the bed sheets.

'Now that's adorable.'

Remorel laid his head back down, and started to drift off into sleep.

Author's Notes:

Well it was a short chapter, but hopefully its to your liking ^^

Canterlot Has Fallen.

Remorel awoke to Celestia's snoring, and partially due to her involuntary action of raising the sun. It surprised Remorel how she can move the sun while asleep.

'Seems I still have much to learn about magic...'

Remorel moved Celestia gently off his chest, her drool puddle dissipating with a snap of his fingers. He moved out of the bed and put his armor back on, each peace fitting securely on his fake, magic held body.

Remorel sighed as he remembered why he has a fake body, possession for more than a six million year span can decay a body so fragile, obviously.

*snort*

He looked back at Celestia, who was starting to wake from her nightly slumber.

She stretched and looked around, some of her hair was sticking up cutely, for some reason not flowing like it should.

Celestia looked at Remorel with half lidded eyes, still trying to wake from her needed sleep.

She yawned "Hello Remorel...how did you get here..?"

'..She doesn't remember asking me to sleep with her?' Remorel wondered.

"I slept with you, don't you remember asking me too?"

Her eyes opened fully, a huge blush on her face. Yet she remained calm.

"Y-yeah, I remember..." She quietly said.

Remorel chuckled "Never seen a pony drool that much over me before..."

Celestia's face could never be redder, it was almost looking at lava. And speaking of lava, he could feel the heat from where he was.

"T-tell my sister I'll be out in a bit, I-I need to clean myself up..." She looked at her stiff hair, Remorel looking at her in amusement.

"Aye princess, see you in a bit." Remorel exits her room, closing the door behind him.

Before he could walk down the hallway, he could hear Celestia speak under her breath "Now I need to change the sheets...why am I so wet?"

Remorel walked quickly down the hallway, not wanting to hear anymore of Celestia's...issues.

--------

Luna and Remorel sat at the large dining room table with some plates stacked high with pancakes.

Remorel gawked at the amount, while Luna stared with a big ass smile on her face.

No sign of Celestia, what was taking her so long?

Then, the doors opened. Revealing a now wide awake Celestia.

Although when she walked past Remorel, he could smell sweat and musk.

It was....enticing for some reason...

'Why am I blushing? Why do I feel excited?' Remorel questioned himself while Luna started devouring her plate of fluffy pancakes. Celestia took a small amount to start and sat down, eating each pancake slowly for taste.

Remorel brushed it off as he also started eating his breakfast, each bite better than the last. He poured some syrup on one of the delicious, fluffy, orange batter. When he took a bite, it was like tasting gods home cooked breakfast.

-----

Half an hour later, and Remorel was full. For the first time in his eternal life...he was stuffed. And he loved it.

Luna was also enjoying her aftermath of the pancakes, her body leaned against the chair she was sitting in as she groaned in delight.

Celestia, was a clean one. She ate slow and steady, not overfilling herself like Remorel or Luna. She finished later than the other two, and patted her mouth with a napkin and sighed in appreciation for the breakfast.

She then spoke up, breaking the elongated silence.

"So Remorel, do you have any plans for today?" She asked a little quickly.

"No, I don't believe so. I haven't had the chance to actually relax in a while either. So the decision falls on you Celestia."

Celestia thought for a moment, then got an idea.

"I just realized I need to check up on twilight to see how Starlight Glimmer is doing with her friendship lessons. If you want, you can come with me and Luna." Celestia offered, Luna looking at Remorel expectantly.

"Sure, I need to get accustomed to the other ponies outside of Canterlot anyways."

Luna silently said "Yay" under her breath, but Remorel heard it easily. Celestia must have ignored it, seeing as she didn't even blink an eye.

"We leave in a few minutes. Luna, lets go prep our chariot."

Celestia got up from her seat and walked out of the room, Luna following suit.

Remorel had some time for himself, so he thought.

And thought...

He knows Dunmer, he will need to be on guard for the rest of the day. Or however long this is going to take.

Remorel suspected an attack, three princesses, and him. All conveniently in one place. It's a juicy opportunity.

He summoned his sword and inspected it, the magic in it is almost restored. If he had to fight, he can.

He sheathed it in the air, making it disappear from view.

Remorel walked into the hallway, and approached the chariot ready to take him, and the princesses to Ponyville.

----

The trip was uneventful, except when Celestia teased Luna on why she ate so many pancakes. Remorel had to give it to Celestia, she was a sneaky bugger.

The ponies at Ponyville, they were very welcoming. At first glance.

Remorel noticed after Celestia or Luna stopped looking at them, they would stare directly at Remorel.

Fear. That was the only emotion he felt from them.

They approached a crystal tree. Well to Remorel, that's what it looked like first glance.

Luna explained how Twilight became princess, and how her library used to be a hallow tree. It made sense in a way.

Twilight and her friends were already in the castle, all sitting at a crystal table with chairs to mach. Each chair having their respected "Marks" as Remorel called them above them.

Even they were weary of Remorel...

But, Celestia and Luna knew this, and stayed on each side of Remorel, both flanks of him being covered.

They sat at the table, Celestia was the first to speak.

"As you all know, the attack on Hallow Shades was nothing than an act of aggression and an act of violence. Remorel and my sister were there to asses the damage and bring back any refugees to Canterlot. The damage that was caused was tragic, and the death's were heartbreaking, many were young foals. But, they did there best to bring back over half the populace back to Canterlot safely."

She then whispered "Even though the airship was destroyed by our own idiocy..."

She continued "I feel that we need to defend other cities, towns, and villages from these monsters. We cannot let loose to what happened to Hallow Shades again. That is something that cannot ever happen again."

All the ponies nodded in agreement.

"So we ask the six of you to defend Ponyville at all costs. And remember, this isn't one enemy, it's an army. And they are more experienced in combat than the Changelings. So be on guard."

Celestia then looked directly at Twilight "Assemble your guards, have them patrol Ponyville, and have them report of any movement that comes from any direction."

Twilight nodded "Captain!"

A young but strong stallion guard rushes in "Yes my highness!"

"Assemble a battalion to patrol Ponyville at once! Report any movement that is not of our nature, that includes the Everfree Forest." Twilight ordered.

"Yes my princess!" He saluted then rushed out of the room, him shouting orders as more hoof steps can be heard.

Then, from the same direction the Captain came, a gold platted guard fly's in a rush. And bows quickly to Celestia.

"P-princess! I have come in order of the Canterlot Guard! Canterlot has been attacked!"

Luna, Celestia, and all the other ponies in the room gasped.

For once, Celestia broke her mask.

"We need to return to Canterlot! Twilight, stay here and make preparations!"

Twilight gave a determined nod, and so did her friends.

Celestia then teleported Luna and Remorel back to the castle, the chariot to slow for this emergency.

-----

It. Was. A. Bloodbath...

The streets were almost completely covered in blood, some pony some Undead. It angered Remorel, how the hell did they manage to hit the capitol...?

Celestia found several ponies and ordered them to find more, the bat pony refugees were scattered across the city.

The castle was bombarded, the glass stained windows broken and covered in blood.

Luna went with Remorel as Celestia tried to find more ponies. The market district was their first stop.

It was eerily empty, no blood either. Only scorch marks and a light fog from the smoke.

Remorel had his sword drawn, Luna had her horn glowing to detect anything that moves. And yet, she couldn't find anything.

Then Remorel heard sobbing, in a familiar voice. A young voice...

Remorel rushed to the voice, his heart racing with his own fear. Luna was right behind him the entire time.

As he approached the sobbing, he can finally see some blood. It didn't make him feel any better in the slightest.

He moved around the corner, and his heart broke.

Shadow was laying on her side, her body was covered in blood. She had an open wound the size of an acorn in her belly.

Remorel rushed to her, Luna beside Shadow, inspecting the wound.

Remorel held her, his tears black, the first time he has ever cried in a millennia.

She looked up at him, her eyes were filled with utter sadness and pain.

"Luna...what can you do?" Remorel didn't look up at her when he asked.

Luna didn't speak for a second, the in soft words she spoke "Her wound is to severe...magic can only do so much as you may know..."

Remorel couldn't take it, but he knew what to do, it is his duty as Death.

"R-remorel...please...find mommy..." She smiled, her tears still falling.

Remorel cried back, his black tears dripped on her coat. Her eyes were starting to fade.

She lost focus, and Remorel couldn't feel her sobbing anymore.

Shadow died in Death's arms. And Remorel didn't know what to think.

Luna watched in sadness, her tears stained her cheeks.

But Luna noticed Remorel's silence, the mood in the air changed dramatically.

"I'm going to find him...and I'm going to make his blood fall like rain..." Remorel said in a steady voice.

Luna didn't like his voice, it had the murderous tone to it.

Remorel continued to walk in the market, Luna now farther behind him than before.

Author's Notes:

It actually hurt to end Shadows life there...but the story continues.

Death's Rage.

Dunmer watched from one of Canterlot's Castle's spires. Watching the destruction below.

"Darling, you said they would be here, I would rather not waste more of my recourses to find Death." Dunmer talked to the air.

'Daddy, they will come. Order your troops to defend the castle. Have snipers in the spires and garden. I foresee an unstoppable rage coming soon. The best you can do is fight it.'

"Of course, I'll do as you wish. If you think it is best." Dunmer stretched out his hand and sent a blue magic ball in the sky, it exploded into a bright, red star.

He can already see his army rushing to the castle.

'Daddy, stay here and wait for Death, he will come.'

"I know he will, and I will be ready..."

Dunmer summoned Selina's spear, it glowed white with power. His wings spread, some flesh falling off revealing bone.

----

Remorel watched as a bright red light pierced the sky, Luna also took notice of this. Her look of worry grew.

Remorel just stared "Now we know where he is...Let's go.' He increased his walking speed, Luna close behind.

It didn't take long to reach the castle gate, most of the army was in the castle. For what reason, Remorel didn't know.

All he knew, was that he was going to kill every last one of them.

Luna sensed this, she started saying things like "Please don't kill ponies..." or "Please be carful..."

It only made the rage inside him grow, why was he the only one fighting these dammed, wretched Undead!?

It didn't matter, he wanted to kill, something he never thought he could do.

He looked ahead, he could see that the Undead were making a sort of "V" barricade in front of the gate. They knew he was coming.

Remorel drew his sword, its blade glowed in the daylight, the blood reflecting off of it.

"To all things Devine...I smite thee...To all things Devine...I will put you all down..." Remorel chanted.

As quick as a lightening bolt, he ran into the horde, slicing and slashing the rotting bodies into thirds, fourths, fifths, eventually into tiny little pieces.

And, for some odd reason, their souls were being drawn to him. They entered his body, making him feel more powerful and determined.

He looked at his hands, the blood magic was practically draining out of him with power.

He continued his slaughter as he made his way up the once white steps, now blood stained. He slashed the castle door open, knocking some Undead back.

He looked up and saw more. Lots more of the Undead. Some much bigger than most.

"No matter, they will die anyway..." He whispered.

He continued his slashing and slicing, each Undead getting cut open like potatoes. And each Undead that dies gets its soul taken.

The power was enough to destroy the planet twice.

----

After an hour of bloodshed, Remorel has reached the spire. Most of the Undead were blocking the way to this particular room. Now, not so much...

The door was no longer its original color, now it was red. Some of the blood on it was dripping from the frame.

Remorel pushed open the door, revealing dark energy and a black cloud shrouding the room.

Luna whispered "What's happening Remorel?"

Remorel just listened, the room deathly silent.

He inched forward...

*ZIP*

Suddenly, a bolt of magic hit around Remorel's feet. Causing him to step back, knocking into Luna.

"So...you have finally come. Not that I'm surprised, you are Death after all. Those Undead were practically child's play."

Dunmer stepped from the shadows "Hello Remorel, long time no see..."

"Quite..." Remorel returned to his fighting stance and glared at Dunmer.

Dunmer just stared.

"I see you brought one of the Princesses..." His voice was calm, creepily calm...

"Yes...this IS her room..." Remorel responded, with an equally calm voice.

Dunmer shook his head "Dumb idea bringing the Princess of the Moon here..."

Dunmer suddenly took a magic beam, aimed it at Luna, and fired. The beam quickly incapacitating Luna.

Luna went down with a shriek, her magic being drained.

Remorel couldn't do a thing, if he intervened, his magic could also be depleted.

He had to watch Luna suffer...

After a few more seconds, she stopped screaming. She laid on the ground, breathing heavily.

Dunmer chuckled "Two down, one to go..."

Remorel went wide eyed.

'Celestia too!?'

Dunmer raised both of his hands, the moon and sun both coming into the sky. The moon went in front of the sun, making an eclipse.

"With the power of the Sun, Moon, Life, and Human Will, I will be able to defeat you and take your power! Making Humanity walk among the living once more!"

Dunmer expanded his wings, flying into the sky "Come Angel of Death! Fight me! And become one with the Sun and Moon you oh so adore!"

Dunmer flew away, climbing high into the sky.

Remorel looked around, the cloud is gone, Luna breathing heavily, the knowledge of Celestia's defeat, and Canterlot in turmoil.

He gripped the handle of his sword, a new feeling in his body, one he hasn't experienced in years.

Rage.
------

Luna awoke slowly, her body feeling like it was hit with a ton of bricks.

She looked around, her eyes couldn't focus on anything. But her other senses kicked in.

"S...sister..."

She left the room, slowly limping down the stairs in search for her sister.

------

Chrysalis watched from the sidelines, watching Canterlot burn and ponies running wildly.

Some of the reformed changelings went to help, even they are getting slaughtered by the bipedal creatures.

She looked down, thinking to herself.

'Can I really feel friendship..? Will I no longer starve..? What am I to do...'

She looked back up, noticing two new creatures in the sky.

'I...I need to help...'

Chrysalis flew from her hiding spot and towards Canterlot.

'I don't want to be alone anymore...'

Author's Notes:

Sorry for the wait, getting moved into a new house though :3. And sorry if it feels rushed, but there will be perspective chapters with Luna, Chrysalis, and eventually Remorel and Dunmer.

To Full Extent.

Chrysalis walked slowly into Canterlot, the burning buildings and blood not unfamiliar, but the amount was far greater than she would rather see.

Foals, filly's, grown ponies alike all lay in the streets. She even saw one stallion hanging from a lamppost.

The fight between the two beings was growing more intense as she could feel their power reaching high magnitude. Some magic ballistics misfired and almost hit her a few times. They probably didn't notice her being there.

Once she finally reached the castle, she could see all the remaining citizens inside with whatever guards were left. Two guards were helping the princesses, although Celestia looked to be unconscious.

Chrysalis slowly walked in, trying to not draw any attention. Which of course failed as a pony screamed in her direction.

The guards were quick to react, they surrounded her with spears down and venom in their eyes.

Luna was away from her sister, approaching the once Queen of the Changelings with a stoic face.

"Chrysalis, why have you come here? You can't win even if we ourselves are weak." Luna spoke, tiredness very prevalent in her voice.

"I don't want to take over anymore. I want to help." Chrysalis said.

Luna looked genuinely surprised "Why?"

"I'm starving, and I'm alone...I don't want to be alone anymore." Chrysalis lowered her head.

Luna spoke softly "It's not my decision, but for the time being, we'll let you stay. We need all the help we can get. Tend to any injured ponies you see, I need to get back to my sister."

The guards went back to their stations as Luna went back to Celestia. Chrysalis looked around, most of the ponies stared at her, frightened.

She noticed a small filly holding a stuffed bunny, its ear torn off. She was crying.

Chrysalis walked over to the small filly, and sat in front of her.

"Hello." Chrysalis spoke softly.

The filly looked up and went wide eyed, but couldn't scream due to her sobbing.

Chrysalis looked at the bunny, she can see the other piece of the ear on the ground.

"May I please see your bunny?" Chrysalis asked as nicely and non threatening as possible.

The filly hesitantly held out her bunny, when she did, Chrysalis used her magic to levitate it into the air with the ear piece.

She concentrated her magic between the two broken pieces, slowly making them whole again.

When she was done, she gave the bunny back to the filly, said filly smiled with tears still streaming down her face.

She unexpectedly hugged Chrysalis, silently saying "Thank you."

Chrysalis felt her hunger go away slightly, and felt something new, something she never thought she could ever feel again.

Love.

----

The battle lasted for hours, Remorel nor Dunmer gaining the upper hand.

They only accomplished in completely annihilating the ground they were fighting over. The Canterlot Gardens.

Remorel had several missing pieces of armor, his sword was chipped, and one of his wings was bleeding.

Dunmer wasn't faring any better, he had open wounds all over his body, his weapon's hilt broke off, making it hard to handle.

It was a stalemate at this point.

But they never stopped, not for a second. They both were hell-bent on killing the other despite their fatal injuries.

----

Celestia awoke to Chrysalis tending to her leg, Luna was convinced she wouldn't dare try anything now.

Celestia was hesitant at first, but once Luna explained everything, Celestia was joyful for Chrysalis. Something quite unexpected to Chrysalis.

"Who is fighting, if I may ask." Chrysalis asked Celestia while wrapping her wounded leg.

"Remorel, The Angel of Death, and King Dunmer, a corrupted being with a false view. He was also the one who sapped my magic and Luna's." Celestia winced the last part out as Chrysalis applied some pressure for the bandages.

"Sapped your magic? How?"

"He just appeared from nowhere. And he pulled me into a beam that drained my magic, it exhausted me to the point of unconsciousness." Celestia said with some anger.

The castle shook.

Everypony looked up, the crashing sounds got closer. And faster.

Most of the ponies cleared the middle of the room, and once they did, Dunmer and Remorel landed in.

They both looked horrible, both covered in blood. Both looking exhausted.

"Just...just give up...you can't win Remorel." Dunmer said shakily.

"Never. You deserve death of the highest degree."

"Then...I better make the most of it.."

Dunmer rushed Remorel with newfound energy, which caught Remorel off guard.

The amount of force was enough to send Remorel crashing into a wall. Cracking it heavily.

Remorel laid there, completely exerted off all his energy and magic.

Unless...

"Give up Remorel, my power outmatches yours tenfold. And once I have your soul, I will conquer this world, then the Afterlife, then finally Paradise! So, any last words?" Dunmer stood over Remorel triumphantly.

"..."

"No? Then I will savor this opportunity..." Dunmer took a to-scared-to-fight guard's spear, broke off the tip, and stabbed Remorel.

Black blood gushed out, staining the golden spear.

All the ponies gasped.

Dunmer watched Remorel with a smile.

Which slowly started to fade as Remorel's own smile started to widen.

"Heh...Hehehe..."

Remorel stood up, the blood continuing to rush out.

Dunmer started to look uneasy, he planned out everything so well.

This was something different.

"No, you forgot one factor..."

Remorel expanded his hand, flashing a hint of blood magic.

"I'm Death, and all the souls of the dead are one with me...their blood is my power." Remorel walked closer to Dunmer.

And in one fluid motion, punched Dunmer.

All of Remorel's blood magic rushed to his fist, causing Dunmer to fly out the window with a hole in his chest.

Dunmer's body vaporized, with his screaming echoing in the air.

Most of the ponies watched in horror, but some cheered.

Celestia and Luna walked to the sides of Remorel, looking out the now shattered window.

"Your magic is in my palm, touch it and you will have your magic back..." Remorel had his palm extended. Two orbs, one blue one yellow, pulsated in the light.

The princesses did as they were told and touched the orbs, their magic rushing into their bodies.

"Remorel, you saved Equestria from a foe we ponies would have never been able to defeat. We are in your debt, if you need anything, let us know." Celesta had a wing around Remorel, Luna's cheeks puffed.

"I'm ok, just need rest." Remorel stared at the setting sun.

"What now?" Luna asked.

"I don't know, but we are fine for now..."

Somehow Remorel knew it wasn't over, he knew there was more of THEM out there. He couldn't let his newfound friends suffer from his realms enemies.

Remorel started getting on one knee, the blood magic's after affects coming in full swing.

"Luna...Celestia...I need to rest, take me to the room quick...I have something in there that will help me with this..."

With that, Remorel passed out, his healing magic slowly closing his wounds.

Luna and Celestia both looked at each other, then took Remorel to his room.

Although, it was difficult. They're magic fatigue still plagued them, dropping Remorel occasionally as they carried him. They even had to stop and ask Chrysalis for help.

Once they finally reached the room, they closed the door and let Remorel rest. They all agreed he needed it.

-----

'Another waste of my time. This one was weaker than Death, and he had Life in his power. I guess I will need to eliminate him by myself.'

The green orb slowly went back into the forest.

'Besides, I work better alone.'

Author's Notes:

No its not the end, and sorry for inactivity. Job and schoolwork are taking most of my time up.

Happy Darkness!

3 Months Later...

Remorel was surprised, in such short time Canterlot was now completely restored to it's former glory. Although the loss of life was high, it was replaced by Hallow Shades bat ponies. They deemed the area unsafe, so Celestia offered them sanctuary in Canterlot.

Ponyville was a different story, it was in shambles by the time Remorel and Luna arrived, it is supposed to at least take 7-8 months of continuous work to find missing ponies (dead or alive), rebuild the town, and hunt and kill any present Undead within the area.

The Elements were not pleased, especially Princess Twilight. She now has debts to pay for the Canterlot aid that Celestia provided. Celestia herself said no charge, but the nobles were a different story.

The Princesses in general are healthy again, mainly Luna. They're magic fatigue caused physical sickness and mental sickness, it took awhile but they were back to their normal selves. They even offered Chrysalis a place to stay, although she was hesitant, she accepted.

Remorel himself however, was on the alert. He thought beating Dunmer was to easy, even if he almost lost. The attack patters didn't seem random or forced, it was almost rehearsed. But Dunmer was dead, and he can at least be thankful of that.

It gnawed at him though, there was something else at play here. Remorel knew this realm has it's own deities, could've Dunmer been influenced by one? It was a possibility, but it will have to wait. The blood magic after affects are still present within his body, and it has been giving him severe fatigue.

The princesses were kind enough to care for him though, they knew what he did, and now know what blood magic can do to you if you use it in a single, powerful blow.

Celestia was out in Saddle Arabia for a dignitary meeting, and Luna was given charge, so Chrysalis for the time being was taking care of Remorel.

She changed a lot, her hair wasn't down but in a bud, she now wore glasses (which still seems odd to Remorel), and she wore a dress that was actually cute. And, most of her holes were gone.

She looked very motherly, and her voice matched as well.

"Do you want something else Remorel? I did everything to Luna's specifications." Her voice was softer and not as aggressive, sweet and kind.

"No, you did wonders for me, and I thank you for that." Remorel nodded in approval.

Chrysalis sat on the bed Remorel was resting on, she looked at I'm expectantly.

"Can you tell me a story? Like the ones you told Luna?" She fanned her eyes a little.

Remorel thought for a moment. "They're not pleasant stories, so be warned."

He cleared his throat. "I remember wars that were bloody, disturbing, and out-right evil. The young were sent to die, as the old decided and watched from the sidelines. For example, the Christmas Ceasefire of 1914."

Chrysalis listened intently.

"It was back in my realm, were the Europeans were very bitter with each other. Specifically the British and French, who both were fighting the Germans. The western front of France is were this ceasefire took place, during Christmas. Or for you ponies Hearts Warming."

A few guards walked in, but stopped when they heard Remorel talking.

"Many lives were lost during the war, it was grim on both sides. Worse since the snow bogged down soldiers."

Remorel stared outside his window.

"This line however, was between the British and Germans. On the week of Christmas, fighting along the line was stopping. One night, a British soldier heard singing. The Germans were singing Silent Night on Christmas Eve. Then, the British joined them. All through the night, they sang that song. Humans, who believed peace can be possible..."

Remorel started humming Silent Night. He stopped a while after.

"The next morning was Christmas. It was silent. No artillery, no shouting, no gunfire, no screaming... Then a German soldier crawled out of his trench, and walked into no mans land. Hands raised, unarmed. Then, a British officer did the same. Then more Germans and British forces came out of their trenches. And they greeted each other. Some even gave gifts to each other. German chocolate for British tea, they even exchanged family photos."

"Then, somebody found a ball. Both sides began to play soccer. Some made makeshift chess boards and used bullets as game pieces. They even danced with each other."

Remorel stopped for a second. "Then, the gunfire started again in the distance, and both sides looked at each other. They went back to their trenches and began fighting again. Although not as intense. Some parts of the line just completely stopped fighting. But the Generals said to continue fighting."

Remorel looked back at Chrysalis, to find she wasn't alone anymore. A few guards, Luna and Celestia, and three of Elements were there as well.

"Your home is a strange one." A guard commented.

"Never said it wasn't." Remorel retorted.

"Considering my home doesn't have talking ponies." Remorel smiled.

"That one is new, even by all the war stories you witnessed. The flow I got from just listening to you talk about these Humans were very gruesome ones. Telling me Humans are evil. Then I hear this, and it seems more like some humans, even if they killed each other, can still find peace among the chaos." Celestia said with a slight frown.

"Humans never ceased to amaze me. Their spirits are strong, and sharpened for greatness." Remorel stared off into the distance for a moment, forgetting he was with company.

"Remorel?" Luna spoke softly.

Remorel was brought back to reality, "Yes Luna?"

"How are you feeling? Is the blood magic still reaping off you?"

"No, its almost gone. To be honest the power to divide a planet would probably destroy my being." Remorel smiled.

"How can you find this funny?" Celestia asked.

"Simple. I never destroyed a planet."

Everyone in the room was silent.

"The exhaustion I received from just destroying a person was dreadful, I cant even imagine a planets worth."

Celestia nodded slightly. "Yes, that would be a nightmare..."

-----Castle Gardens---

Celestia sat next to Remorel, watching the birds as they flew by.

"Hey Remorel..." Celestia said quietly.

"Yes?"

"Do you know what love is..?" Celestia asked with a small blush.

Remorel looked in the distance. "Yes, I do know what it is..."

Celestia moved closer to Remorel. "Well...I was wondering...Did you ever share it with someone with the same feelings as you?"

Remorel watched her. "Yes...But it happened 78,000 years ago. So I say its long gone."

Celestia leaned against Remorel and sighed softly.

Even if he is Death, he should be loved like anypony or anybody else... Celestia smiled as she leaned her head against Remorel's side.

"Can you tell me a story? Maybe one that's not so violent?"

Remorel chuckled. "Let's see...I got one."

He wrapped his arm around Celestia, holding her close.

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away..."

Author's Notes:

This has been a good story I say. But vote on pt.2? maybe.

But it has been a journey. And you all read my try at a dedicated story. And I appreciate the love and criticism it received. Hopefully this isn't the end of The Dark Entity, but we'll see with the Like/Hate ratio.

Anyway, thank you all, and have a good day.
