After escaping Canterlot Castle, Sunset, Toxigo and Adagio ran to where the train station was since it was the farthest location from the castle, and the changelings continued the attack. The three of them all met up with everyone else who were all meeting there for the time being, including having to make a new plan.

"Why is Adagio with you guys?" Applejack asked sounding annoyed.

"Long story short, she's agreed to help us after her sisters were... zapped. To say the least." Sunset replied.

"Oh, well... wait. What about the others? Weren't Sugarcoat and Sunny with you?" Fluttershy asked.

"They... They didn't make it." Toxigo said. "Indigo came for us at the last minute to save us but she got dragged down by those bugs, and Sugarcoat and Sunny Flare blew themselves up. I can at least say this, they have redeemed themselves. Everything they all went through, for me, will be honored."

At that moment, they heard the sound of a sewer grate clattering, and they turned to see a grate fire up into the air and hit the ground. Hands came out of the hole, revealing Indigo Zap climbing out of the hole with a different appearance now. Her hair was ruffled up, one of the lenses on her goggles was cracked, a scar went down her right eye with some blood going down, the top of her suit was now gone revealing a gray tank top, there were some cuts and little bits of the legs of the suit gone.

"Next time.... when we say we'll make it up... maybe just have us do chores! This isn't what I had in mind!" Indigo asked sounding exhausted as she breathed heavily.

"Indy... You're alive! What happened?" Toxigo asked.

"They dragged me down, but I managed to kick them away and I had to crawl through the sewer systems over to here to escape their sights. Now, two things, one what where's Sugarcoat and Sunny, and can someone get me a band-aid? The blood is coming from eye, and that doesn't feel good." Indigo winced feeling the pain.

Applejack came over to her with a medic kit, and Sunset explained what happened to her. Indigo as she felt the small band-aid below her eye though over the situation with a concerned face, but she straightened herself back up.

"Well, you don't have to worry. I'm still around and I'm staying. But, I should say, Toxy... I'm... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left, I made a promise to stay with you by your side but I didn't do that. I... I..."

"Indigo. You were stressed out, and that's understandable. I am glad you've come back to help though."

"Well, its not just that, its also.... you know..." Indigo gestured with her hand.

"Oh you mean that stuff before when we were dating?" Toxigo asked.

"Yeah that, I... I'm sorry I wasn't a good girlfriend, I understand I shouldn't have treated you like that and I had no right to. I don't suppose there's any chance we can..."

"Let me interrupt you there Indy." Toxigo said. "Looking back, I don't think we did so great as a couple. And quite frankly, I don't think we should get back together."

Indigo gave a frown to his response, but came up with an alternative solution. "Can we at least be friends?"

Toxigo smiled. "Of course."

Toxigo and Indigo shared a hug embracing their new found friendship.

"So, now that we're friends again, can we focus on our next course of action? I'm afraid the more time we waste standing around the more time those insects continue to grow and advance on us." Rarity said.

"She's right. New plan. We're gonna...wait a minute..." Tox stopped and looked up.

"What? What is it?" Sunset said.

Everyone looked to the sky as they watched Midnight Sparkle float into the air with two bubbles following right behind her. In them, they could see Sugarcoat and Flare still alive but detained in the bubbles.

"They're not dead yet!?" Indigo shouted.

"So they didn't die. Well, that's somewhat of a relief." Toxigo said.

Midnight Sparkle above, as she floated in the air fired an energy beam into the sky which opened up a portal into just a black circle. They didn't know what was inside the portal, but they knew they were alive.

"Anyone have a suggestion for how to get the other Twilight back to normal?" Indigo asked.

"Maybe we could get Sunset to turn into the angel form again to handle it?" Applejack offered.

"But that's gonna require a lot of magic, and that's not something we have much of." Sunset replied.

Everyone pondered for a few seconds and then all heads turned to Toxigo. Toxigo wasn't sure what they were gesturing but he quickly caught on.

"I'm not bringing the Alicorn Amulet out." Toxigo said.

"Tox, come on. What other choice do we have?" Flash asked.

Toxigo thought their situation over and realized he was right. There was no other option they could pick, he groaned and pulled out the Amulet from his pocket that he had buried it in.

"What is this, like the fourth time!?" Toxigo complained. He hooked the Amulet around his neck, and looked towards Sunset.

"Please promise me you won't fail."

"I won't. I know I won't." Sunset replied.

"Okay.... here goes nothing..."

The Amulet illuminated bright gold, Toxigo's red eye illuminated more demonic red and a blast of blue energy fired from it onto Sunset, engulfing her in a giant energy bubble, which beamed brightly, transforming her into her Daydream Shimmer form once again.

As she hovered above everyone, everyone gave awes and happy smiles. Once Toxigo removed the Amulet again, he looked up to see Sunset floating in her new form.

"Sunset... you... you look beautiful..." Toxigo said.

"Aw... thank you." Sunset replied.

"Now, lets go save our friends." Toxigo replied.

"Okay, new plan, free Sugar and Flare, Lets go!" Tox ordered.

Everyone stormed out to go back out in the battlefield to attempt to get themselves over to Midnight Sparkle's location, Indigo and Adagio looked at each other both getting an idea on how to rescue their friends.

"So...I believe there's some jet packs we can use somewhere on the ship. Want to take flight control, or me?" Indigo asked.

Adagio stood still in silence to think for a moment, but got an idea. "I fly, you shoot."

A few moments later, Adagio had transformed into her siren creature form with Indigo riding on her back. With a new set of goggles on her eyes, a helmet on her head, and wearing a fresh new spandex tight suit, she was ready to move.

"Are you ready to ride?" Indigo asked.

"No!" Indigo replied sounding scared beyond all belief.

"Hang on!"

Adagio soared through the streets of Canterlot slowly moving herself up into the air as Indigo held onto her tight scared out of her mind as they took flight into the sky above Canterlot, with the sole intention of freeing Sugarcoat and Sunny from the clutches of Midnight.

As they reached up to the sky, Midnight had Sugarcoat inside a glowing purple aura, while Sunny stayed trapped in a giant bubble, and the look on their faces were terrified beyond all belief.

"Twilight! Come on! I know you're in there! You have to fight the control!" Sugarcoat yelled.

"Twilight is no longer here weakling... there is only Midnight... And just like everyone else, you will-- AGH!!" Midnight nearly lunched back after being hit by an energy blast. She turned to see Indigo on Adagio's back hovering in the air.

"Twilight, listen to me! This isn't you! You are a nice girl, you would never hurt your friends!" Sunny pleaded.

"Oh please, friends only made things weak, you all held me down, and you only wanted me to release the magic to win a petty game..."

"That's in the past Twilight!" Indigo shouted as she pulled the trigger on her weapon which shot Midnight in the chest pushing her back.

Just at that moment, they heard a scream and saw Aria fall through the hole and hanging onto the side trying not to fall, and then Sonata fell as well and Aria grabbed her hand just in time.

"I got you!" Aria shouted.

"Aria! Sonata! You're alive!" Adagio had tears of joy streaming down her face to see the sight that her sisters were alive.

"Adagio, you're actually, crying?" Aria asked.

"Yes!"

"Well any chance you can help us get down? I don't want us hurt from the fall!" Sonata asked.

Luck had come to their way as Toxigo and Flash flew up with jet packs on their backs.

"Hang on! We'll get you down!" Flash shouted.

"Wait!" Aria shouted.

"What?" Toxigo asked.

"There are others in there! The other two girls we zapped, they're in there!" Sonata shouted.

"Get everyone out, I'll handle Twilight!" Sunset said.

"Well you better move quick! I don't think that portal will stay open for long!" Aria yelled.

Sunset led Midnight far from the portal, and everyone got into action. Soon, Indigo jumped up into the portal and came swimming back with Sour Sweet holding onto her, and in her other hand was an unconscious Lemon Zest.

"You okay?" Indigo asked.

"I'm fine, Lemon's knocked out though." Sour replied. "Could have wanted you to free us sooner though."

Sour hoped onto the back of Adagio with Indigo, and once now in the air, Aria and Sonata took advantage of having magic again and transformed into their siren forms and allowed Flash and Toxigo to get onto their backs and Toxigo held onto Lemon Zest as the three of them flew from the portal as it was about to close.

Back with Sunset and Midnight Sparkle, the two continuously kept firing portal blasts towards one another and neither one could make a hit. They chased one another by hovering and soaring through Canterlot where several citizens had to duck and find cover in the city streets. Everyone watched in shock and awe at the sight of the two god-like girls battling.

As they battled, Toxigo glanced at Sunset in her powered up form and smiled.

"That's my Shimmer-cakes."

Back with Daydream Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle now were at a magical energy beat down firing two beams towards one another to hit the other, but neither were getting the upper hand. Until Sunset started moving closer and the energy was getting more towards Midnight. The glowing yellow and orange and red beam hit Midnight first which engulfed her into a void of pure white, and she faced Daydream Shimmer who offered a hand to her.

"Twilight, I know you're in there. Just let me help you..." Sunset offered.

Midnight faced Sunset with a few blinks but grabbed her hand, and in flash, the two of them were back on the ground back to normal. Twilight's eyes opened up and found herself on the streets of Canterlot. She had no idea what had happened.

"Wait, what just happened?" Twilight asked.

"You don't remember?" Sunset asked.

Twilight shook her head responding no,

"I'll explain later, right now we got to run."

And with that Sunset and Twilight ran back to the train station without getting caught by any changelings in sight.

Echo finally accessed the ship's controls and she managed to get the CHS Wondercolt down onto the ground to park, and they went into the medical ward where Lemon Zest was hooked up to some IV units and still not awake.

"She's healthy and okay, but she's knocked out for the time being. She'll wake up. Eventually." Applejack replied.

"Well, at least she's alive." Sugar replied as she was cleaning some of the black dirt off her face.

"As soon as they wake up, I'm going to give them a big apology for what I've done." Indigo replied.

"Its not your fault dearie." Sunny said as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "Besides, you already made up for your actions by coming back to help us."

Indigo looked at Flare in her purple eyes, and she gave a smile and hugged her. "I'm just glad you're all alive. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You'd probably go into a deep depression and not talk to anyone to the point where your emotions would bottle up and you'd lash out at someone." Sugarcoat bluntly stated.

"That's putting it mildly Sugar." Flare replied.

"Are any of you gonna stay behind to watch her, or you gonna join us in this final fight?" Toxigo asked.

"I'll stay behind. Besides I can't move very far with the way my foot's feeling. The bite kind of took a lot out of me." Sugarcoat said as she carefully moved herself over to a chair next to Lemon on the bed.

"Well if you're staying, then I should too." Sour replied.

"Me too." Sunny followed.

"Alright, if you're gonna stay together, that's fine, just stay safe" Tox said before stepping outside to join the others.

The Dazzlings stood with them all looking bashful and ashamed, and Adagio held onto her sisters giving them tight hugs for fear of losing them again. After reuniting with her sisters, Adagio cleared her throat, and talked.

"Look um... I'm new to this whole 'friendship' idea, but do I just assume we need to apologize, for what we did?" Adagio asked.

"I'd believe that would be the appropriate response considering all the horrible, inconsiderate--... um, yes darling." Rarity replied.

"Alright, I... I'm sorry. I know we don't deserve your forgiveness--"

"Hold it right, there, Dagi. I can tell how you're feeling, and I understand. But you did actually help us back there, and I can tell you care for your siblings a lot. And because you helped us get our friends back, I forgive you."

Tox then felt another surge of energy.

"Are you freaking kidding me!?" Toxigo yelled.

He floated up into the air, and ponied up once again much to the Dazzlings shock and surprise.

"Okay, why is this... Wait a minute. I get it. I understand it now!" Tox yelled with a smile on his face.

"What, what do you mean?" Sunset asked.

"I get it now. I understand why I ponied up all those times before. I ponied up to all your elements because it was a sign. The pony ups were all signs saying there was another Element of Harmony. Twilight said that there were other Elements on the Tree of Harmony that are yet to be unlocked, and two of them were unlocked before. Another one was unlocked because of me! It makes sense!"

Soon the 7 girls, and Flash all started floating in the air and glowing along with Tox.

"Honesty...." Applejack then ponied up.

"Generosity...." Rarity then ponied up.

"Kindness..." Then Fluttershy.

"Laughter..." Pinkie.

"Magic..." Human Twilight.

"Acceptance...." Sunset Shimmer.

"Compassion...." Flash then ponied up.

Toxigo opened up his red eye with the black diamond retina changing its color back to normal yellolw as Tox spoke the final word. "Forgiveness..."

All of them rose into the air, hands joining together in harmony, all growing long and luminous hair. Flash had grown long blue hair that extended all the way to his back, and orange wings that sprouted from his back, and horse ears grew on the sides of his head. Toxigo ponied up as well, as the metallic bat ears transformed to the top of his head appearing on the sides, the back of his hair extended out glowing minty green, and his eye glowing bright. Everyone else which included the Dazzlings, the Royal Sisters, and Echo all faced them with grins as they watched them burst with energy.

"We possess something that can never be taken down or destroyed, something that lives inside of all of us You all have changed the way I look on life. No matter what comes, no matter the foe or entity that stands in our way, I will always consider you all my best friends. Nothing can bring me down. For a while, I believed I was just a survivor of misery, but now, I see the truth. I was meant to be with you all, I was meant to join all of you in peace and harmony, defending whatever forces of evil comes our way. United we stand, now and forever, divided, we fall! Hand upon hand, brothers and sisters, no one shall be greater than all. Today, it will be said we saved our world. Because we possess the most powerful force in the universe: The Magic of Friendship."

Once they all landed onto the ground, everyone looked at each other with smiles.

"Here's what we're gonna do, we're gonna win this fight, and we'll keep on going. Twilight, can you and the Royal Sisters evacuate the citizens from the area?" Toxigo asked.

"Yes, we can." Celestia replied.

"Great, thank. This fight's gonna be pretty... messy. Dazzlings, Echo, Element Bearers, we're gonna fight Chrysalis, together. For today, the Elements of Harmony..." Toxigo paused to open his eye as it glowed bright yellow

"--have awakened."

"Ready! Break!" The group shouted.
