Trixie the Alicorn *rewritten*
Chapter 1: Rewritten
Set in an alternate universe were Twilight has had her wings and castle from the start, hence the Elements were always in her display case. Cadence and Shining Armor had already been married and were already overseeing the Crystal Empire. Pretty much any major friendly event have already happened.
------------------------------------
Twilight saw the poster on the side of the market stall, Trixie, she was back in town. Twilight cursed to herself, last time she was back in town she tried to take over. Hopefully she had matured since then.
Luna and Celestia sat in the war room. They were currently fighting a war with the changelings. The war started in the east three weeks ago. The changelings attacked the Crystal Empire overnight and they were planning a way to flank the camps out west.
As the last stain of sunlight left Equestria and the moon repainted the canvas black,Trixie sat behind the curtains putting on her trademark clothes. It being the last day of Autumn was naturally chilly.
She stepped out of the pitch black curtain under the cover of her wizarding hat. Trixie stood upon the crowd, overlooking the crowd she exclaimed.
“TRIXIE THE MAGNIFICENT SHALL PUT ON THE BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD!”
The crowd roared in hatred for the magician. If they knew that Trixie was putting on the first weekly pony show, an event were ponies from all around Equestria came to perform an act that would excite the hairs on a pony chin. Acts ranged from flying tricks to magic shows. Trixie thought that she would seth the trend off with a bang, little did she know, this performance would set course a motion of events that could not be easily stopped. She levitated fireworks above the stage to set the mood for her final trick.
Trixie teleported to one end of the stage.
“FOR THIS TRICK, TRIXIE THE GREAT AND POWERFUL NEEDS A VOLUNTEER”
Mixed groans came from the crowd, nopony wanted to subject themselves to Trixie. She was the pony who single handedly had enough confidence to try and take over Ponyville. But one pony called out, ponyville’s resident librarian, the resident alicorn, the resident princess. Yes, of all ponies in Ponyville, Twilight chose to be (possibly be subjected to pain) by Trixie. Not only is Twilight of high value, but she has a past with Trixie, and a terrible one at that.
“TWILIGHT SPARKLE, YOU SHALL BE TRIXIE’S VOLUNTEER”
Twilight hovered above the crowd and started making the slow arrogant journey to the stage. When she reached the stage she pulled Trixie into a whisper.
“Trixie what are you doing in town?”
“Nothing if you are suggesting i’m taking over again”
“Trixie?!”
“Seriously, I just want to make a crowd roar”
“Fine, just, what did I sign up for”
Trixie smirked.
“You’ll see”
Trixie teleported to the other end of the stage, leaving Twilight behind.
“AND FOR THIS TRICK, TRIXIE THE MAGNIFICENT WILL BLOW YOUR MINDS”
Trixie levitated a deck of cards over to Twilights face,
“I’M GOING TO FLIP THROUGH THIS DECK, I WANT YOU TO OBSERVE THE DECK AND PICK A CARD YOU SEE, BUT DON’T TELL ME!”
Trixie’s horn flickered as the deck chattered as they smacked against each other. Twilight stared as the deck flicked, 7 of hearts. Trixie’s horn flickered once more as the top of the stage seemed to explode. Red text filled the sky which formed a card, the king of spades.
“WAS THIS YOUR CARD?”
“No”
The crowd sneered and snickered. Trixie gave a little nervous laugh, darting her eyes all around.
“OF COURSE TRIXIE WAS JOKING THOUGH”
Her horn flickered again. The whimsical card on top of the stage changed from the king of spades to the queen of hearts. Trixie, feeling confident again asked.
“IS THIS YOUR CARD?”
“Erm, no”
The crowd laughed again before giving a little boo. Trixie, feeling nervous tried one last time. Her horn flickered. The card changed once more from the queen of hearts to the jack of spades.
“Uhm, look Trixie, that’s erm, not my card either,”
Trixie looked down. She shed a tear before walking off to the side. The crowd laughed and booed as she continued to step down the steps. She continued down a path, it seemed like a normal enough path until it seemed to have a mind of it’s own.
As she continued down the path it seemed to veer off to an odd side, it got eerier as she went. Owls hooted above as she continued to tear up. Finally she looked up, she was in the deepest darkest reaches of the Everfree Forest. Her eyes darted around nervously, she whimpered as the moon lit shadows seemed to grow around her. Eventually her eyes came to rest on the apologetic cabin neatly tucked in the corner of the clearing. The window that provided the only clarity between inside and outside seemed to be lit up. Trixie sneaked towards the door, she hesitantly knocked. The miserable sound moseyed off into the distance as her eyes continued to dart around.
“When I answer the door, I hope you wont scream or roar”
“Z-zecora?”
“What are you doing out here?, I hope you’re not another queer”
“It’s me ... trixie”
“Oh, yay, hip hip hooray”
“Yeah thanks, can I come in?”
“I must say fine, but don’t wine”
Trixie entered and saw Zecora frantically mixing a potion. Trixie walked closer to the lousy excuse of a shelf.
“Be careful around that shelf, it’s old, you may inflict pain on yourself”
“Trixie can not get hurt by mere rotting wood”
Trixie went to handle a vat that was labeled ‘Fantasticia’ as soon as she put her hooves near it it collapsed. The shelf suddenly drooped and tens of thousand of ingredients from all around the room dropped with it. They all ramped into one thing, the cauldron. They all fell into it. Cabbage and Celery and Chemical X and Essence of Parasprite and Diamond Dog Dung and Pony clippings. Zecora suddenly jumped back at the sudden outburst of ingredients flying everywhere. She looked towards Trixie with a scowl.
“Yes you may not, but my potion got”
She then stared at the new concoction, the excited color of the liquid entranced Zecora, it seemed to be a mix between green, orange, yellow and pink. It was beautiful. Zecora scooped up a vat of the liquid in a 200 ml container, she hesitated before putting it to her lips.
“WAIT”
Trixie interrupted her,
“Look, i’m such a failure, it wont matter if this garbage dies, give me the container”
Zecora handed it over.
“Okay, if you are certain, but you must do it, behind the curtains.”
Trixie sipped it.
Suddenly her eyes turned white, her horn twitched and lifted her up out of the cabin, a storm cloud grew around her as she screamed, a massive big blue lighting bolt from the sky hit here her horn. She felt her torso cry in pain as nubs sprouted on her back. A black cloak flew in from the sky and clipped around her neck as she cried. She was obviously in pain.
“MAKE IT STOP!”
She cried out to no avail, more lighting strikes hit all around her body. A searing pain split through her head.
At the library, Twilight was ready to go ask Trixie whats wrong, that was until she saw the storm. It was huge, it spiraled around the Everfree as if something was attracting it there, at that moment the Elements of Harmony floated out of there display case.
“OH GOD!”
Twilight tried to stop them but the magic was too powerful, they kept floating, out of the door and towards the Everfree. Magic started flowing out of Twilights horn,
“Oh no”
Twilight fainted.
Zecora saw the Elements of Harmony go up towards Trixie, who was clearly in pain. Trixie continued to scream as the storm ripped around her, the nubs on her back were growing bigger, she continued to cry in pain. And then she saw the gemstones rapidly spinning around her body, all of a sudden they changed shape, the element of honesty went from an apple to a cloak and a wand, the exact same as Trixie’s cutie mark. This happened with every other stone as well, loyalty, kindness, generosity, laughter, and ... magic. Her new black cloak ripped around in the wind, but stayed in perfect condition.
Celestia entered the strategy room as the storm ripped on outside.
“That’s one hell of a storm!”
Luna sat on the opposite side of Celestia before asking her a question.
“Celestia, do you feel ... faint?”
Celestia and Luna both fainted at that exact moment, the guards ran up to them to examine them, they jumped back at the sudden light, the magic was leaving them. Little did they know, they were heading towards Trixie.
Trixie settled on the ground, Zecora stared at her. She moaned as she rose.
“Trixie the magnificent has -”
Trixie fell down again.
“TRIXIE HAS ALL THIS MAGNIFICENT POWER!”
She rose up, her eyes turned red and her aura turned black.
To be continued in Trixie’s Magic Show.
