FLASH DRAW’S RECONCILIATION

CHAPTER 1: Remember Your Past

I was sitting by the fire, poking at it furiously...Maybe i was just tired, who knows really. After the last few days, it's no wonder if i were...But i still didn't answer Butterball until she threw a tiny rock on me... OW! i exclaimed.

What did you do that for? i said...she simply pointed at a light in the distance...So, we are finally there...She looked at me with her sweet face and said in her soft and kind voice...You remember all the good times Flash?...

Yes of course i do Butter, She expected me to continue i think, cause she just made a frown suggesting something of the matter. I didn't know how to answer a frown, so i did what i always do...i threw a rock back. OW!, what is it with the rock throwing she said...

I just laughed and exclaimed: You started it!...We laughed together, and i don't mean a laugh that you just laugh to be nice. No it was a hearty and friendly laugh...

We both fell asleep for the night, i don't know how about Butter but i didn't get much sleep...All i thought about was her, Ponyville and all the friends i left behind.

Butter...she was a light-blue mare, with a white and dark blue mane. Similar to my brother's, we had known each other since we were foals...but we didn't really speak much until we both worked in the Shadow squad in Stalliongrad.

She was my only safe ridge there, we sought comfort in each other...not in that way, we were only friends or so i thought until recently. But i'm getting sidetracked,

My thoughts shifted to Ponyville, i had only been there a month and yet so much had happened...i had made friends, enemies and even maybe ticked somepony of. I lost my memory for a while, under an accident which i caused...in the end it didn't do me much good.

But i got my memory back, my friends believe it makes me happier. The truth is that it doesn't, yes i'm happy of course.

But i would be happier if i could forget her... June..

I was jolted awaken the next morning by Butter shaking me, i could hear her in the distance...Flash!..wake up Flash!. I finally awoke, after a while anyway...she was looking at me with her big eyes, until she shoved a fish in my face.

I got breakfast she yelled, she seemed oddly happy about the fish...You know Butter, that fish cake was only a joke. I know Flash, but you made me eat a fish...so now you are going to eat a fish she said giggling the entire time.

I groaned but finally caved, i mean how could i not to those big blue eyes. I ate the fish but it wasn't really my taste, so it didn't take long until i spat it out again. Galloping over to a creek to get some water

I could hear her laughing and giggling behind me, i didn't mind. If she was happy i was happy. So after drinking water for a while i turned to her and said. We need to get going, if you want to reach that village before sundown.

She stopped giggling with a snort and we trotted off into the forest. We had been walking for a while without a word, we hadn't seen each other in 3 maybe 4 years. We were both at a loss of words...But anyway, she finally said something: Flash, did you find her?

I assumed she was talking about my mother and i answered her. No i didn't, but i don't expect to either. She's been gone for so long. I dropped my ears thinking of my mother.

She dropped her ears as well and said to me. Flash, you will find her one day. I promise you that!

I didn't answer, i always answered with brash and unthought through answers. I didn't want to upset her, so we continued trotting through the forest, after a while we decided to take a rest at a clearing. I trotted over to a rock and sat down...It didn't take long before Butter talked to me again.

I know i said how i felt last night Flash, b-but you never really answered me how you felt? I was unsure as to what i should answer, i liked her as a friend. But i had never thought of her in this way...not until she mentioned it anyway.

After what seemed like ages i finally answered with an unsure look on my face.

Butter...i have always looked at you as a friend, but after the events these last few days...and i think in time we can be more then friends. But now is not the time.

It looked like she gave thought about it for a while, but i'm only guessing i could never really see what she was thinking...then she blurted out without warning. You love me don't you Flashie?

I was stammering and maybe even blushing, i myself were pretty frank with my emotions but she was even more so. I-i...i was at a loss for words. It didn't matter, cause before i knew anything she kissed me on the cheek, then she whispered something to me, but i couldn't hear it. I was in my own thoughts.

We decided to rest there for a while before continuing to trot to the town. Again Butter was the first to talk, she did enjoy to talk and i didn't mind really.

Where do you want to go to when we are finished here? she asked me, and i honestly have to say i didn't think so far. So i answered as good as i could. I don't know Butter, i really don't know...i was just going to find a way to get my wings to work again.

She frowned a little and answered in her own little quick way. I enjoy you calling me Butter, i didn't before but that was...She blushed a little, which was an odd happening. Well it was before.

I laughed a little and we finally trotted into the town, it was a small town. It only had around 5 buildings, but what is there too expect from a town in the middle of nowhere. We went up to the first stall, there was an old pony mare there. I couldn't tell her age.

Excuse me lady, i asked. She moved a bit and with a huff she stood looked at me and Butter. What can i help ya'll good ponies with? she asked. I let Butter answer.

We are looking for the doctor's office, can you point us in the right direction?

The old mare just looked at us and answered in a smug voice, Do you want to buy some apples?

I pulled Butter away from there before anything happened, both she and me were pretty easy to anger. I had calmed down a bit after my "accident".

We walked towards a building in the center of the town, if you could call it a town center. The building was run down, but you could obviously see that it had been a doctor's center in it's hay days. We trotted inside, i yelled. Hello?, anypony here? I jolted a bit when a nursepony entered from a room, she spoke to me.

So, what can i help you ponies with? she asked. I replied back while taking out one of my medicine bottles. I need to figure out who made this?

She took the bottle from my hooves by using her horn, i never liked unicorns. To much creepy magic about them. She examined it a little further and eventually concluded that she didn't recognize the bottle or the medicine.

Me and Butter trotted out of there disappointed, she turned to face me and said to me with a serious look on her face. You don't have to get your wings back Flash!, nopony would say anything!

I just trotted away, but she tackled me to the ground and while she pinned me down she told me. Answer me Flash!

I answered her with a stern look, if somepony would have discovered us now. It would have looked like we had a fight.

I know i don't, but it's not about needing to fly. It's the last thing reminding me about Ponyville, at least physically!

I must have yelled that last part, i didn't mean to. But i was just so angry at that point for her not understanding. She just snorted to me and got off me, and after gathering some more supplies. We trotted to the edge of town and i asked her.

Where should we head Butter? She looked at me with her stern face. GO ALONE!...then she broke out into a laugh and poked at me giggling. I'm just fooling with you Flash, you decide you know where we need to go.

I reached out mu tongue to her saying. Ha-ha, we should head South-east to Cirruston. They should know.

She nodded and we trotted out of that rundown village, that night was unusually cold, so we slept close together hugging each other. But hey that's what i get for leaving when the winter is coming.
