It is a bright new morning on the planet Earth. The sleeping teen awakes with a groan and a stretch, ready for a new day. This teen, his name is Tyler. He is 14 years old and enjoys many things. Though this teens life is not all it's cracked up to be. He is lonely. He lacks friends and always feels left out. He is hurt on the inside and is on the verge of suicide. In fact today is the day he plans on killing himself, but something powerful, something magical, is going to change that and in turn is going to change his life for the better.

Tyler's life is very slow and dull. Every day is the same routine. Get up, take the dog out, and get on the computer. And Tyler is fed up with it. His dad leaves the home to go to work and Tyler makes a powerful decision. He grabs the knife

Today is the day, the day I end my miserable life. My family will be hurt by what I'm going to do but it's come to the point where I just can't stand being alone anymore.

Though as Tyler pulls the knife towards himself he becomes encased in a strange purple glow. He suddenly cannot move anywhere. His head begins to twist and he is seemingly transported out of his home, the knife falling to the floor with a clang.

Tyler wakes up in a strange library. Books are everywhere and he seems to be inside of a tree.

"Where in the hell am I? Is this some strange dream?" says Tyler, very confused.

"Uh.... Um... What are you?"

Tyler whips around to find a strange purple pony looking at him with concern and a hint of fear.

"AHHHHH," Tyler jolts back, Scared out of his mind and thinking to himself that this must be a dream, "The better question is what are you!"

"Me? I am a pony. My name is Twilight Sparkle. I run this library. OH! I think I have a book that can tell me what you are!"

The purple pony scurries about, messing up other books searching for a certain book. "Ah ha! 'The guide to strange and mystical creatures' this is it! Now let's see,  no, no, no, no, no, eww no, there it is!"

Now Tyler can only sit there, jaw wipe open, speechless, and feeling as if he was on drugs.

Twilight reads the page out loud, " Hmm 'Humans, These creatures are rare to the land of Equestria. Only seen by few, they are smart, agile, and easygoing. They do not typically cause harm to ponykind and should be friendly' Well it says you are friendly. So how did you get here?"

Tyler finally snapping back to his senses responds, "I-I don't know. One minute I was on the verge of doing something and the next I'm encased in a purple glow and now I am here in this strange home inside a tree talking to a talking pony!"

"What do you mean 'talking pony' I've been able to talk my whole life. Do the ponies in your land not?"

"No, they don't, In fact humans are the only species able to talk where I come from. Not including a few birds that mimic people"

"Amazing," responds twilight, "I need to jot this down somewhere. SPIKE! I need you to help me here!"

Spike appears in seconds ready to serve twilight with full enthusiasm.

"Yes Ma'am!  Number one assistan- WHAT IN THE HAY IS THAT THING!"

"Spike calm down, It's a human, this book says they are friendly and do not hurt anyone, isn't that right uh..."

"Tyler, My name is Tyler. And yes, I am friendly, I wouldn't dream of hurting anyone," he does not say anything about how he was on the verge of hurting his entire family before all of this madness.

"Well Tyler, this is Spike. He is my assistant and also a baby dragon. He his hard working and always up for any task"

Spike can only stand with a look of flattery on his face, until he starts flexing saying, "Oh I do my best, you won't find a better assistant anywhere. So what did you need me to help with Twi?"

"Well Spike, I need you to make this human some food, he looks very hungry."

He didn't think about it till now but Tyler was feeling very starved.

"I'd appreciate that, Thank you Twilight Sparkle and Spike"

"It's no problem Tyler! Go make him something good Spike"

"Yes ma'am!" And with that, spike was off.

"Now Twilight, before I do anything else I'd really like to know what got me here."

"Ah yes, of course. Well you see it's a little embarrassing. My friends are all away right now so I've been a bit lonely. I decided to use my magic to teleport someone here to be with me and spend time with me. It seems it had a much broader search than just Equestria."

"Yeah no kidding. Also, I understand what it's like to be without friends. I've been without them all my life."

Twilight felt sadness in her heart when she heard this. "I am so sorry, you can be my friend though, and when my friends all return tomorrow you can meet them as well! You'll have a lot of new friends! It's going to be great!"

"You know Twilight Sparkle, I'd really like that."
