After sleeping for a thousand years The Countess of Blood, The Vampiric Gothloli, The Blood Valkyrie Veronica, has awaken long eternal slumber after being awoken by a certain lavender unicorn and rainbow maned pegasus

Meet Veronica, your used to be average girl that used to have a normal life just like any other human. That is until one of her friends gave her a keychain umbrella that she got from the new store's vending machine not to long ago. Now our former human finds herself in the land of Equestria after sleeping for the past one thousand years has finally awaken from her slumber by a certain lavender color unicorn and rainbow maned pegasus.

Chapter 1: Awaken from your Eternal Slumber

[Castle of the Royal Sisters]

“So why did you insist on bring me along to your little nerd quest Twilight?” Rainbow Dash asked as she flew next to lavender unicorn.

“I’ll have you know this is not a quest Rainbow Dash, but an important investigation into Equestria’s history.”

“And that would be?”

“Celestia and Luna’s father, King Cosmos. We know next to nothing about the King, not to mention how he run the kingdom during his ruling.”

“Could you just ask the princesses? I mean they are related to the guy and they have been around for a long time.”

“Well yes, but there are some things even they didn’t know about. “

“Like what?”

“Like the those strange but friendly creatures that the cutie mark crusader found in the forest.”

“I still say this is a waste of time Twilight. Why not get someone else do this besides us?”

“Are you kidding! This is the most exciting thing I’ve ever done since, I found a new way to organize my books!”

“Egghead *cough, cough*.” Rainbow Dash said jokingly, causing Twilight to glare at her. “What? You know it’s true.”

“Let’s just go in and see what information we can find on King Cosmos-” As Twilight opened the door to the abandoned castle, the door instantly crumbled into dust.

“Smooth move Twilight.”

“Let’s just go before I say something that I’m going to regret later on in my life.” Twilight said as she and Rainbow Dash walked into the castle, heading to the hidden library of the abandoned castle. “Okay, start looking for history of Equestria and Royal history of the Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.”

“Okay, would that be under H, or by the pony who made it?” Rainbow asked flew over to the top shelf.

“Both.” Twilight answered as she levitated a couple of books off the shelf.

“Okay… Who made the book?” Rainbow asked as she pulled a random book out, and quickly closed it before all the pages could fall out then putting it back, making sure Twilight didn’t see that.

“Hard to say really. Most of the books here are pretty old, so it’s hard to find out the author of the books. After all, these books have been around for a really long time. So makes sure you’re careful when dealing with them. Some of the pages might fall out.”

“Okay… I can do that…” Rainbow Dash said slowly as she went to another book. Only to find it would not come out. “What the?”

“What’s wrong?” Twilight asked as she put several books down.

“This book won’t come out!” Rainbow Dash said as she tries pulling on the same book again.

“What do you mean it won’t come out?” Twilight said as she teleported next to where Rainbow Dash was. “Let me try.” She offered as lavender aura wrapped around the book as she tried to pull the book out of the book shelf. At first it didn’t move or budge at all, that is until she put more effort into it that they heard a clicking sound. “What was that?”

“You don’t think we just set off a booby trap?”

“If we did then we would’ve seen it.” Just as she finish that statement, the bookshelf they were near started to move as it left revealed a hidden doorway leading to a secret basement. “That’s...new.”

“This is just like my Daring Do books. We found a secret passageway!” Rainbow Dash yelled in excitement as she was about to open the door. Only for Twilight to stop her with her magic.

“Do you even think before acting? We don’t even know if that’s a trap.” She said as she levitated Rainbow Dash next to herself. “Let me at least open the door at a safe distance so nothing jumps out and attacks us.” Twilight focus her attention on the door as she magically open the door with her magic. “There, now we can go in and-.” Before the unicorn could finish, a certain rainbow colored pegasus darted off into the hidden room. “....Why do I even bother.” She said as she walked down into the basement.

“What a rip! There’s nothing in there but a stupid table.” Rainbow Dash said as she landed on top of said table.

“.....Rainbow...that’s not a table….that a coffin.” Twilight said, causing Rainbow Dash to quickly fly off it. “What’s a coffin doing in the middle of a hidden room like this?”

“We could always have a look inside it.” Rainbow suggested as she place a hand on the coffin. Only to quickly remove it away from the edge of the coffin. “Ow! What the buck?”

“You okay?”

“Yeah just touched the edge of the coffin.” Rainbow Dash said she looked at the coffin out of curiosity. “You think someone is inside this thing.”

“If there is something inside it, it would pretty much be dead after all these years locked away in here. What I want to know is how this even got here?” Twilight asked as she took a moment to ponder why the coffin was hidden away. Breaking her from her concentration was broken as she heard the sound of something heavy hitting the floor. Turning around to see where the sound was coming from, Twilight’s eyes widen in shock to see Rainbow Dash taking the rusty chains off the coffin. “WHAT IN THE NAME OF CELESTIA ARE YOU DOING!?”

“What? I just wanna see what’s inside it.” Rainbow Dash said as she tried to open the lid of the coffin. Only for the room they were in to start glowing with weird rune symbols covering the walls. “Oops.”

“This is why I told you not to touch stuff without thinking. Get close to me and I’ll teleport us out of here.” Twilight said as her horn began to glow, only for it go out like a match. “What the? Why isn’t my magic working?”

“Um, Twilight, we might be in trouble.” Rainbow Dash said as she pointed to the walls starting to move. As the symbols on the wall began to change from blue to bloody red, stone like monster began to erupt from out of the walls. “Twilight get us out of here!”

“I can’t, this room is preventing me from using my spells.”

“Then what do we do!?”

“I-I don’t know!” Twilight said as she notice one of the stone monsters charging at them ready to attack. “Dear Celestia help us!” She screamed, closing her eyes and waiting for the monster to deliver the killing blow. Only, for some reason it didn’t come. Twilight opened her eyes to see a barrier surrounding her and Rainbow Dash. “What the?”

“I thought you said that you couldn’t use magic in this place?”

“I didn’t do this. Somepony or something must’ve made this barrier.” Twilight said as she felt a bone chilling sensation coming from behind her. Turning around she she saw the coffin’s lid open up slowly. A strange black mist poured out from the coffin as the lid full moved itself from off the coffin. As the coffin continued to spew out the black mist, a somewhat black silhouette slowly appeared rising up from the coffin. The silhouette opened it’s scarlet red eyes as it looked at the
lavender unicorn and rainbow maned pegasus.

“What in the name of Celestia is that thing!?” Rainbow Dash yelled, as she and Twilight backed away from the monster. As they were backing away from the monster, the barrier that was protecting them shattered from the stone golem’s fist. “This is so not how I wanted my life to end. Why did you bring me along with you Twilight?”

“This wouldn’t have happen if you didn’t open that coffin in the first place.”

“Oh….hehehe….sorry.” Bring their attention back at the golems, Twilight and Rainbow Dash closed their eyes once again waiting for the monsters to deliver the killing blow to them. Only for the sound of magic hitting stone to cause them to open their eyes. Their eyes widen as they saw a spear of light burst through the golem, turning it into nothing but rubble. “What the?” The mares attention were drawn back at the coffin as they saw what appears to be a young woman wearing scarlet color armor holding a spear in her hand.

The stone golems attention where now fixed on the armored girl as they begun to charge at her. “Greater Teleportation.” She said as she teleported out of the way of the golems and appear behind them. “Maximize Magic: Vermillion Nova.” Point a finger at the two golems, the two that she pointed at burst into flames as they slowly began to melt into molten magma.

“Twilight, what is that thing?”

“I don’t know Rainbow Dash, but what interest me is those spells she’s using. How is it that she’s able to use magic in this place, but not me?”

With the two golems reduced to molten rubble, the armored girl raised a hand at the remains of the monsters and send a powerful force of air causing them to fly off into the wall. The girl turned her attention at the last remaining golem as she prepared her spear while landing back on the ground. The golem roared as it slowly charged at the girl, only for her to point her spear at the golem. “Magic Destruction.” The girl said as the golem’s body began to slowly disappear on itself. As the monster finally appeared in front of the girl and was about to slam a fist into her. The fist shattered into pieces upon impact as it did little to nothing to the armored girl. Twilight and Rainbow Dash stared in shock as they watched the stone golem crumble away into thing but dust. There was a moment of silence that filled the room as the light from the rune symbols vanish. In a fit of curiosity,Twilight mustered up the courage to pull herself up from the floor and walked over to the armored clad girl.

“Um...T-Thank you for saving us. May I ask who you are?” Twilight asked, only for the girl to just stand where she was and not move. “Are you okay?” The unicorn asked as she slightly shook the girl. The girl still didn’t respond or notice Twilight touching her. Twilight moved in front of the girl as she stared deep into the vampires blank scarlet eyes. “Rainbow Dash, we need to take this girl with us.”

“Are you crazy!? Did you not just see what she just did to those stone monster?”

“But she saved us from them. Need I remind you that you were the one that caused this?”

“Yeah, but-.”

“You’re helping me bringing her back to Ponyville. Now grab her hand so I can teleport us out of here-.” Before Twilight could finish her sentence. The armored girl looked up at the ceiling, opened her wings, and burst up through the ceiling of the room and the castle. As she reach above the castle of the royal sisters, she looked off into the distance as she flew off deeper into the Everfree Forest.

“Well that just happen.” Rainbow Dash said as she notice Twilight running out of the hidden they were in. “Where are you going?”

“We’re going back to Ponyville. We need the others to help us find this girl before something bad happens to her.”

“Why don’t you go back and get the others? I’ll be able to catch up to her in three seconds flat.”

“You’re come with me Rainbow Dash.”

“What? Why?”

“Do I need to remind you about what happened moments ago?” Twilight said which caused Rainbow Dash to roll her eyes in annoyance. “If we’re going to try and find her, we need the others to help us in searching her.”

“Ugh, fine, but I still say that I can still catch up with her before we lost track of her.” Rainbow Dash said as she followed Twilight back to Ponyville.

Chapter 2: The Countess and The Magician

“Stupid piece of worthless junk!” Trixie yelled as she kicked the broken wheel to her home. “That’s the last time Trixie buys her stuff from Canterlot. Now how is she going to get out of this stupid forest?” Trixie leaned against a tree, trying to think of a way to get out of the forest without leaving her home behind. “Trixie could always find one of those monster creatures to help me, but where the hay is she going to find one in this creepy forest? It’s not like there’s a hidden town of them in the forest. Oh what will Trixie do now?” As Trixie continue to ponder her option, she heard rustling in the bushes in front of her.

“Who’s there?” Trixie asked as her horn began to glow. “I know how to use magic.” The rustling continued as a pair of eyes appeared. Trixie’s skin turned pale as she tried to back away from the being behind the bushes, only for a loud growling sound to come from behind her. Turning around she saw another pair of blood thirsty eye glared at her in hunger. With no other means of escape, the unicorn quickly tried to retreat into her home, only for a shadow to appear over her. Looking up her eyes widen to see a manticore standing on top of her home with mix of blood and saliva to drip from it’s mouth.

Trixie legs began to give from both the intimidation and fear of the manticore glaring at her. With whatever strength she had left, the unicorn tried to teleport herself away from the hungry beasts. Only for the magic in her horn to vanish from the roar of the manticore. Not only did the roar caused her to lose whatever strength she had left, but it also summoned the other two manticore out from hiding. Tears began to appear from Trixie’s eyes as she began to cover her head and pray that someone would save her from her impending doom.

(Music Starts)

“Please, Celestia, somepony, anypony, help me. I don’t want to die here.” Trixie said as the manticores lunged themselves at their prey, only for a pillar of light to appear around Trixie causing the manticore to be pushed back. Trixie opened her eyes as she saw the pillar of light engulfing her. "Have Trixie's prayers been answered?" She asked as she notice something flying down in front of her. Descending down in front of her was a girl no bigger than a teen pony, wearing scarlet red armor with pure white wings. Trixie’s eyes widen in shock for a moment before noticing the manticore recovering from the knock back. “I don’t know who you are or why you here. But please, don’t let them kill me.”

The vampire said nothing as she aimed her lance at the manticore, and prepare herself for battle. The manticores roared as one of them tried to attack the vampire with it’s tail. The vampire quickly moved out of the way as she flew up into the air and pointed a finger at the one that attacked her. “[Maximize Magic, Brilliant Radiance!]” She said as a pillar of light appeared underneath the manticore and sent the beast into the air. The Vampire appeared above it and impaled it’s head. As she removed the lance from the beast’s head, blood began to flow from the hole of it’s head as a orb of blood appeared above her head.

Drained of it’s blood, the vampire tossed the manticore to the ground as she landed back to where the other two were. The Manticores backed up a little from the girl out of intimidation from just happen. Their tails flickered as they tried to attack her from a distance by firing their stingers. The vampire raised her hand as a force as white light barrier appeared in front of her, negating the manticore’s attacks. Placing her lance onto her back, the armor clad girl summoned a spear of light into her hand and threw it into the head of the other manticore killing it upon impact. “[Purifying Javelin!]” She said as the light spear vanish. Bringing back her spear, the vampire's body dissolved into a silvery mist, her ghostly form twining around the other manticore as it lunged through her.

As the manticore was trying to figure out where the girl had gone to, the vampire appeared behind the beast and impaled him in the back. “[Greater Lethal]” She said as the orb in the middle of the lance changed from a glowing purple to a swirling mix of crimson and black. The beast roared at it tried to knock the vampire’s spear from out of it’s back. The manticore began to lose its strength as the dark negative energy kept flowing into it causing blood to gush out from it’s eyes, mouth, and ears. In a matter of seconds, the manticore stopped moving as it let out a mighty roar before collapsing to the ground dead.

The vampire pulled her lance out of the manticore's back as the blood from the manticore started flow from out of the beast and into the blood orb. As the orb began to grow bigger, Trixie notice something heading towards the vampire. “LOOK OUT! BEHIND YOU!” Trixie yelled as the armored vampire teleported out of the Manticore that was about to hit her. From what Trixie could tell, this manticore was much bigger than the other three she fought. The Manticore glance at the dried up corpses of his pack, then back at the vampire. It’s glare intensify as it begun to lash out rapidly, only for the girl to easily dodge them like a leaf dancing in the wind along with her countering with each strike with her spear.

After dodging multiple strikes, the vampire was finally hit as she was sent flying through a tree. The manticore roared as it ran after her in pursuit. As the beast appeared over her ready to sink it’s fangs into the vampire’s body, the vampire pointed a finger at the manticore’s chest as a light blue light started to gather around her finger. “[Twin Maximize Magic: Twin Dragon Lightning]” The vampire said as a burst of lightning in the form of a dragon spewed out from the manticore. At first Trixie thought that it was over when she saw the vampire appear in front of it, but to her surprise the Manticore was still able to move as it begun to strike rapidly at the girl with it’s stinger.

"How can you move like that?" Trixie asked, noticing the vampire's hands beginning to glow scarlet red.

“[Twin Maximize Magic: Vermillion Nova]” The vampire said as a pillar of fire erupted from underneath the manticore. The manticore used it’s wings to blow away the flames as it lunged itself at the vampire. The armored girl raised her hand again as a lance made of light appeared. “[Purifying Javelin!]” She said as the lance shot right into the manticore’s head. The beast begun to slow down as it ran passed the vampire and into a boulder sticking out from the ground behind her.

Trixie stared at what just happen in front of her. This girl, her savior in scarlet armor, appeared out of nowhere, took on four manticores, and won without even getting wounded or killed by the manticores. The unicorn shook her head to bring herself out of the state she was in and was about to say something to her hero. That is until the vampire raised her hand into the air and summoned the blood from the manticores towards her. As the blood began to come towards her, the ball from before started to grow bigger to that of the size of Trixie’s home. Opening her mouth, the blood began to flow into her stomach at a steady pace as the orb became smaller and smaller by the second.

With a small gulp from the vampire, the armor she was wearing and along with lance she was carrying disappeared in a flash of light. Trixie's eyes widen again as now looked at the girl who was now wearing, a black licorice purple colored dress bits of dark magenta on the clothing. After the transformation completed, the girl collapsed onto the ground causing Trixie to run over to the vampire.

“Hey, you okay?” Trixie asked as she lifted the girl up a bit. “Come one, say something?” She said, placing her head hear her chest to check for any sign of the girl being alive. “Thanks Celestia, she’s still breathing.” The unicorn said as she heard another rustling in the bushes. Without thinking, Trixie lifted the vampire onto her back as she ran inside her trailer, locked the door, and cast an invisibility spell on the trailer to make it invisible to everyone but her.

(Ponyville, Library)

“And that’s what happen.” Twilight said finishing up event that she and Rainbow Dash experienced. “Right now we know that this girl is still in the everfree forest, but we don’t know where she is.”

“If you let me go on ahead I would’ve told you where she was hiding out in.”

“After what happen in the ruins, I would rather not have a repeat of what happen. Plus you did saw what that girl did to those stone monsters, right?”

“Which is why we have to find her as quickly as possible. Look, I know that I released that….what that girl was. But after seeing what she can do, you can’t expect us not to do nothing and let her do whatever she wants? What if she attacks somepony or something?”

“Which is why we had to return to get Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie.”

“Still, you could’ve let me go after her.”

“Complaining about it won’t solve the problem Rainbow Dash.” Applejack said as she tilted her hat. “If what Twilight is saying is true about this girl, then we need to find her before something bad happens.”

“D-Do we have to go after? I mean, maybe she was locked in there by accident and just wanted to return home?” Fluttershy stated.

“I doubt it seeing how she locked away fro who knows how long. Not to mention the coffin was covered in rusty chains and dust, so it must have been there since the time before the princesses ruling.”

“You think she might’ve something to do with the monsters appearing out of the everfree forest?” Rarity asked.

“Maybe, I’ll have to have Spike send a letter to the princess after we get the girl here.”

“Oh! Can we throw her a “Welcome to Ponyville” party?” Pinkie Pie asked causing everyone in the room to look at her in disbelief.

“Um….maybe after we have her meet Princess Celestia. We have to make sure that she’s okay and not hurting anypony.”

“Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go after her then.” Rainbow Dash said as she was about to fly off, only for Twilight to stop her with her magic.

“We’re not going to have a repeat of what happen last time.” Twilight said as she placed Rainbow Dash back on the ground. “Before we go off into the everfree forest, we need to be prepared for anything that might happen in there. Once you gotten whatever you need, we’ll meet at the forest entrance. Agreed?” Twilight said as her friends nodded in agreement. “Good, we’ll meet up in one hour.”

(Trixie’s home, Everfree Forest)

The vampire’s eyes slowly open upon smelling the sweet smell of something cooking. Upon waking up, she finds herself lying in a bed with a damp cloth over her forehead. Taking the damp cloth off her head, the vampire lifted herself up and began to scan the room for whoever lives in this house she’s in. “W-Where am I?”

“Oh, you’re awake.” Trixie said as she entered the room with a plate full of cooked fruit mix into a salad. “Trixie didn’t think you would be awake after you collaps.”

“Um….who are you and where the hell am I if you don’t mind me asking?” Trixie levitated a plate next to the vampire as she pulled a seat next to her.

“You child are in the house of The Great and Powerful Trixie!” The unicorn answered as small fireworks appear from behind herself. “And who might you be brave hero?”

“My name….” The vampire paused for a moment to think of response to her answer. “I-I’m Veronica….Bloodfallen….I think….I-I’m sorry, but that’s all I can remember really.”

“What do you mean that’s all you remember? Don’t you remember you saving me moments ago?”

“What do you mean?”

“You killed four manticores like they were nothing. How in the whole wide world of Equestria were you able to do it? Who taught you those spells? And where did you get that armor and weapon from?”

“L-Look, I’m sorry, but I have no idea what you’re talking about weird unicorn lady. All I can remember is parts of my name, and waking up here in this bed. Everything is before that is just a blur, or I can’t remember.” Veronica said as she grabbed the plate full of food next to her, and began to eat. “I can’t answer your question if I don’t know who I am, or where I came from.”

“Right, forgive Trixie for her asking you questions like that.”

“It’s okay, mind telling me where exactly am I in? I know I’m in your house, but where is you house located?”

“Well, my house is pretty much a mobile home that Trixie can take with me anywhere Trixie goes. But at the moment, it’s kinda stuck in the middle of the forest we’re in.”

“Stuck?”

“One of the wheels have broken when Trixie was making her way out of the everfree forest. Trixie was about to teleport to Canterlot to see if she could buy a wheel for my home, but she was ambushed by those beastly manticores. Trixie thought she was dead until you showed up and defeated the beasts.”

“W-Well, I’m glad that I could help. Even though I have no memory of me saving you.”

“Maybe we can do something about your memory loss thing you have there.”

“You know someone that can help?”

“No, but I’m sure somepony in Equestria might be able to help.”

“Equestria?”

“It’s the name of the country you’re in. It pretty much the home for us ponies. But it would seem that it’s also the home of these weird creatures that almost resemble you. Well, only the some of them do, but others pretty much resemble other animals.”

“How about we ask one of them for help. Maybe they can help repair the wheel to your home?”

“Yeah, if we can find them that is. Most of the times the creatures would only appear walking in and out of Ponyville and back into the everfree forest. Even when we follow them, they end up disappearing for some reason.”

“Then maybe we can ask one of them in this place called Ponyville then?” Veronica asked, only for Trixie to pause for a moment before going back eating.

“T-Trixie can’t return to Ponyville for a while.”

“Why?”

“Trixie will tell you about it later. Right now let’s just figure out a way to fix the wheel.”

“Isn’t there someplace around here that tells us on how to make or fix a wheel?”

“Hm….” Trixie paused for a moment as an idea came into her head. “Maybe there’s a book about wheel fixing in the castle of the royal sisters.”

“There’s a castle in the forest?”

“It used to belong to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna one thousand years ago, but they pretty much abandoned it and moved to Canterlot.”

“Guess we know what we’re gonna be doing today.”

“We’ll have to go there in the morning tomorrow.” Trixie said as she points at the window. “The everfree forest is much dangerous at night then it is during the day.” The unicorn said as she finished eating her food along with Veronica. Trixie’s horn began to glow as she levitated the plates towards the kitchen and into the sink. “We’ll go there to get the book and nothing else. That place really gives Trixie the creeps, especially at night.”

“Um, where do I sleep?”

“You’ll be sleeping in Trixie’s bed for tonight. Trixie will have to clean up the guest room once we get back tomorrow.”

“But where will you sleep? I don’t want to take your bed if this is the only place you sleep in.”

“Don’t worry, The Great and Powerful Trixie will sleep on the couch in the front room.”

“There’s other rooms then this one?”

“Trixie struck a deal with the salespony that sold me this mobile home. It may look small on the outside, but on the inside it’s just as big as a normal house you would see.” Trixie said as she pulled herself up from sitting next to Veronica, and made her way out the room before hitting the lights. “Rest well Veronica.”

“Yeah…..you two.” Veronica said as she laid back in bed. So many questions filled the young vampire’s head. Who is she, where did she come from, why is she in this weird country called Equestria? These questions began to plague her mind as she looked outside of the window at the full moon.

“I really wish I knew more about myself,” Veronica thought as she pulled the covers over herself. “Maybe the castle of the royal sisters might have a clue about who I am?” The vampire thought as she felt her eyes feeling heavy. “I guess will have to see once we get there.” with that, the young countess closed her eyes as she drifted away into dreamland.

Chapter 3: Hunters of the Light

(Canterlot, Celestia’s Royal Chamber)

Canterlot, the shining beacon of Equestria, and home to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Rulers of Equestria and wielder of the sun and moon. Both visible during the day and night and also home to hundred of other ponies as well. Nighttime has fallen upon Canterlot as Princess Celestia retired to her chambers, while Luna took over for night court. As she enters into her room and began to look over some notes for the sun court in the morning, a letter wrapped in a familiar green flame appeared in front of her as it landed on the bed she was currently sitting on. Levitating the letter to herself, Celestia opened the letter and began to read it. Moments after reading the letter sent by Twilight, Celestia’s skin turned pale as she quickly moved from off her bed and teleported to throne room where Luna was holding the night court.

“Night court is suspended until further notice.” Celestia said as she ordered everyone in the room to leave, except for Luna.

“Sister, what is the meaning of all this?” The alicorn of the night asked. “Is something the matter?”

“She...has return.” Celestia answered as she levitated the letter that Twilight cent her in front of Luna.

“She… wait… you don’t mean…” Luna asked, only to see her sister’s expression as her eyes widened. “Oh by the stars… Shalltear?”

“No other being can wear a scarlet red armor and wields a lance like that.”

“Then we must mobilize the guards at once to seal her back up as quickly as possible.”

“Luna, I know you are scared and angry after what happened all those years ago, but maybe we can try and think this through instead of just-.”

“Have you not forgotten what she did to our ponies, or did you not forget what she did to our father!?”

“As much as I want to forget that…..unpleasant day. We still can’t go in blindly like a chicken with it’s head cut off. If Twilight and others can bring Shalltear here to us, then maybe we can talk this out.”

“You can’t be serious?” Luna asked, dumbfounded by how calm her sister is reacting. “You actually want to talk to that monster after what she did?”

“Acting on impulse will only lead to disaster. You of all ponies should know that more than I do.”

“We can’t just stand here and do nothing. If we don’t do something now, she’ll end up forming an army of undead monsters or something to attack Canterlot.”

“I doubt that she able to do that seeing how she just awoken from her sleep.” Celestia said as she started to make her way to the door.

“Where are you going?”

“To write Twilight a letter in response to the one she sent me. While I’m doing that, you are not allowed to have the guards to go after Shalltear.”

“Are you brain dead or something-?”

“Do I make myself clear.” Celestia said as she glared at the lunar princess with a serious tone in her voice.

“Yes sister.”

“Good, now I bid you goodnight.” Celestia said as she walked off to her private chamber.

“I swear sometimes my sister can be a bit to trustworthy at times.” Luna said mentally as she summoned a soldier from the night guard. “Gather a group of soldiers and have them meet me outside of Canterlot.”

“What for Princess Luna?”

“Unlike my sister who pushes stuff like this to the side and endangering her student and her friends. I’m going to deal with the problem myself. You have about an hour to get your colts ready. I’ll be waiting for you all at the gate.”

“At once Princess Luna.” The bat pony said as he flew off into the night.

“Shalltear Bloodfallen, you will pay for your sins and more for what you did to Equestria all those years ago.”

(Morning, Castle of the Royal Sisters)

“Okay girls, we need to find something that has the vampires essence or something that can give us a way to find her.” Twilight said as she and her friends searched the room that she and Rainbow Dash was in yesterday.

“Ya’ll sure will be able to find something that can help us find this vampire girl Celestia said in her letter you got?” Applejack asked as she looked around the room.

“It’s the only way that I can track her. Be careful when looking around here girls. There could be some traps that haven’t been activated yet.”

“Who would leave somepony in a d-dark and scary room like this?” Fluttershy asked.

“Whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves.” Rarity said as she slipped on a rubber glove and slid her finger across the wall. “I mean look at this place, they could’ve at least cleaned it more often.”

“I doubt they could seeing how they must’ve forgotten about this room.” Applejack said as she noticed something shining in the coffin while walking by it. “Hey Twilight, I think I might’ve found something that might help us track that vampire girl you were talking about.” The country pony said as she reached into the coffin and pulled out what appears to be a hair pin.

“Mind if I have a look at that Applejack?” Twilight asked as she levitated the hairpin towards herself. “Perfect, I’ll be able to track her down with this.”

“Perfect.” Rainbow Dash said as she appeared next to Twilight. “Now we’ll be able to find her quickly before she does something dangerous.”

“I don’t think that would be a problem.” Pinkie Pie said as her tail began to twitch.

“What makes you say that darling?” Rarity asked, only for the party pony to point towards the entrance of the hidden room they’re in.

“Because she’s upstair right now.” She said as all five pony notice the vampire walking pass the hidden room. At first they thought it was one of the monsters that appeared around Ponyville, but what gave her appearance away would have to be her scarlet red eyes.

“That’s her!” Rainbow Dash said as she was about to fly after her, only for Twilight to stop her with her magic.

“Will you wait before you get yourself hurt.” Twilight said as she placed the pegasus on the ground.

“Well we can’t just let her leave. This might be the only chance we got in capturing her without having to hunter down.”

“Which is why I have a plan so we won’t have to do that.” Twilight said as she motion her and the other to gather around her.

“So what does this book to repair your home look like?” Veronica asked as she followed Trixie into the abandoned Castle.

“Trixie doesn’t have to slightest idea about what the book looks like, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be able to find one just by looking around in the library.”

“Do you know where the library is?”

“Trixie has been here before many times.” The unicorn said as she and Veronica made their way down the hallway which lead them straight to the library. “Okay from what Trixie can remember, the repair books should be in the R section of the bookshelves.”

“And where is that?”

“Over there to the left.” Trixie pointed. “Look and collect books that can tell us how to repair a wheel by hand.”

“On it.” The countess said as she ran over to the bookshelf Trixie pointed out.

“Be careful when handling those books though. Some of them are old to the point where if you filt them up, the pages will turn to dust.” The unicorn said as she saw Veronica pick up a book, only for the pages from inside it turn to dust.

“Um…..it was like this when I picked it up.”

“Never mind.” Trixie said as she walked over to Veronica and patted her on the head. “Let’s be more carefull next with the other books. I mean it’s not like they will turn to dust if we touch them tight?” The unicorn asked as she pulled a book from the shelf. “Let’s see, How to repair rusty items. That might come in handy, but not the book we’re looking for.”

“How to repair a broken heart?” Veronica said as she pulled another book from the shelf. “How to repair a house, how to repair a relationship, how to repair one’s sex life? Are you sure this is the right bookshelf to find the book we need?” The countess asked, only for Trixie to levitate the book away from her.

“Maybe.” Trixie said as she tossed the book to the side. “It’s not like Trixie can go back to Ponyville after what happened to her.”

“Then I guess we’ll have to do it the hard way then huh?”

“Sadly yes, but Trixie thinks this will be pay out in the end. We have all the time in the world seeing how this place is rarely visited by anypony.”

“Why doesn’t anyone visit this place?”

“Mostly because it’s in the middle of the everfree forest. The most dangerous place in Equestria.”

“If it’s so dangerous, then why build a castle here then?”

“Trixie doesn’t know. Maybe they did it so they can be close to ponyville or something.”

“Well they should’ve built it in the middle of Ponyville then.” Veronica said as she pulled out another book from the shelf. “Hm, how to repair a wheel manually. Hey Trixie, I found the book we need for your home.” The vampire said as Trixie levitated the book towards herself.

“Yes! This is the book Trixie need!” Trixie said as she patted Veronica on the head. “Good work Veronica. With this we can repair the wheel to my home and get out of the everfree forest.”

“Well that was easier then I though.”

“Looks like pony luck is on our side this time. Come on, let’s head back before something from the forest pops out and attack us.”

“Right.” Just as the duo were about to leave, something wrapped itself around the vampire and began to pull her away from Trixie. “Um…..Trixie. I’m being pulled away by something.”

“What do you mean-.” Trixie froze mid sentence as she saw Veronica being pulled away slowly. “What is the meaning of this?” The unicorn said as she shot a magical beam at the rope, causing whoever it was that was pulling it to fall on their back.

“Ow! Consarnit!” said a familiar voice to Trixie.

“Who said that?”

“It can’t be.” Trixie said as she saw Twilight and her friends appearing from the doorway. “YOU!”

“Trixie? What are you doing here?” Twilight asked.

“None of your business Twilight Sparkle. Care to explain why you country bumpkin friend tried to fillynap my friend Veronica?”

“Trixie, you need to get from her. She a dangerous being and needs to come with of us to bring to Celestia.”

“And why would The Great and Powerful Trixie hand over her friend?”

“Because she’s a dangerous blood sucking vampire.” Rainbow Dash said pointing at the countess’s fangs. “With teeth like that she’ll suck your blood before you could even get away.”

“Hey I take offense to that!” Veronica said.

“Doesn’t make it less true. Not to mention what you did to those stone monsters yesterday when we found you in that dusty old coffin.”

“What do you mean you found me in a coffin?”

“We’ll explain everything that happen when we found you, but you have to come with us if you want to know the truth about who you really are.” Twilight said as she extended a hand towards the vampire. “You have my word that nothing bad will happen to you.”

“Is she really telling the truth?” Veronica thought as she stared at the lavender unicorn in curiosity. She was a bit reluctant at first and was about to walk over to Twilight and her friends, only for Trixie to block her with her hand.

“Don’t listen to them Veronica. They may act like they’re your friend, but when the princess is involved they’ll throw you under to the side and go with their beloved princess’s orders.”

“Hey! That’s not true!” yelled Pinkie Pie.

“We would never do that to her or anypony.” Rarity said, glaring at the magician unicorn. “Celestia just want to talk to Veronica, that’s all.”

“Sure she does.” Trixie said sarcastically. “You expect Trixie to believe Celestia just want to talk to Veronica. What would she want to talk with her about anyway?”

“We don’t know, all she asked is that we bring Veronica to her and all will be explain.”

“Then it’s settled, she not going with you.”

“Like you have much of a choice in the matter, Trixie.” Rainbow Dash said as she flew in front of Trixie. “For all we know you, might use her for your Celestia knows what.”

“Don’t I get a say in this?” Veronica asked only for Rainbow Dash to turn her attention at her.

“Look you’re coming with us and that’s final.”

“I’m not going with someone who I just met.”

“But you just met Trixie didn’t you? So why not come with us?” Fluttershy asked.

“Because she helped me and I trust her more then you guys.” The Vampire said as she begun to walk outside the castle. Only for Rainbow Dash to block her path.

“You’re not going anywhere kid.”

“We’re sorry, but you’ll have to come with us.” Twilight said.

“And if I refuse?”

“Then will have to do this the hard.” Rainbow Dash said as she tried to grab Veronica by the arm, only for vampire to move out of the way. “Hey! Hold still!”

“Trixie, we need to leave.” Veronica said as she tried to run away from the rainbow colored pegasus.

“Right, get close to Trixie and she’ll teleport us out of here.” Trixie said as her horn began to glow, only for Applejack to tie a rope around the unicorn and tied her down while keeping a hoof on her back.

“Not this time partner.”

“Release Trixie at once or else.”

“Or else what? From what I can remember from what you did in Ponyville, you don’t have any other kind of magic beside the one you used in your so called show.”

“Trixie, help!” Veronica said as she dodged Rainbow Dash and landed on top of the bookshelf.

“Trixie is a bit tied up at the moment.” The blue unicorn said, causing Veronica to see what she meant by that. “Just run, I’ll try to catch with you at my place!”

“But what about you?”

“I’ll be fine, just go!” Veronica looked at Trixie for a moment before she started to run off deeper into the castle.

“Y-You better be okay when I see you again.” Veronica said as she ran off.

“Oh no you don’t. You’re not getting away from me that easily!” Rainbow Dash said as she flew after Veronica.

“You sure the plan’s going to work?” Fluttershy asked. “It’s not going to hurt her is it?”

“Don’t worry Fluttershy.” Twilight said as she teleported the coffin that Veronica was in near herself. “All Rainbow Dash has to do is lead Veronica to the backway of the Castle. Once there, Rarity and I will lightly push her into the coffin. After pushing her into the coffin Applejack and Pinkie Pie will secure the coffin by wrapping it with the rope that Applejack brought.”

“Trixie will make you pay for doing this Twilight Sparkle.” Trixie said as she tried to struggle out of her binds.

“I’m sorry Trixie, but this for the safety of Equestria and for you as well.”

“What do we do with her?” Applejack asked as she pulled Trixie from off the ground. “We can’t just leave her here. She might break free and try to rescue Veronica.”

“We’ll have to bring her with us than. I can keep from using her magic until we capture Veronica.” Twilight said as she motion her friends to follow her around back of the castle. “Come on, let’s get this plan underway.”

Chapter 4: Fighting Back

“Leave me alone!” Veronica said as she ran down the hallway with Rainbow Dash chasing after her.

“Get back here!” The Pegasus yelled as she zoomed after the running vampire girl. “How the hey can this girl run in that dress?”

“What did I ever do to you? Go after someone else!” She said, quickly making a left turn into a dark room. Rainbow Dash followed in pursuit, but stopped the moment she enters the room.

“Look kid, just make this easy and turn yourself in. You and I both know that you can’t hide forever.” Rainbow Dash said as she slowly walked into the room. “Give up and I’ll… Where did she go?!”

“Okay Veronica, think. What can you do to out smart this pony.” Veronica thought as she slowly tip toed around the room, trying not to let the rainbow maned pegasus know where she is. “There gotta be something that can give me a good head start out of this place.”

“I know you’re in there! Come out and i’ll go easy on you.” Rainbow dash said as she tries to move around in the room without knocking into anything. “Why couldn’t Applejack or Twilight be the ones that chase after her?”

Out from the corner of the room, Veronica poked her head out from behind a bookshelf as she watch the pegasus walk around in the room. “It seems that she can’t see me in the room, but I can see her.” She thought as her eyes glowed scarlet red as she could see Rainbow Dash searching the room. “Okay, just need to slowly make my way to the doorway, and I’ll get at least a few minute head start.” She said as she slowly made her to the doorway of the room she was in.

“Oh come on! I don’t want to try looking for you in the dark all day.” Complained Rainbow as she slipped on a book, that was on the floor. “Ouch…”

“Yeah well you’re pretty much gonna once I’m out.” Veronica said as she was feets away from the doorway. Just she was about to make her way out, her dress hit the side of something causing a book from the shelf to fall onto the ground. “Uh oh.”

“Found you!” Shouted the pegasus as she flew to where she heard the book drop.

“Time to run again!” The vampire said as she ran out of the room and down the hallway.

“Get back here you little-.” Just Rainbow Dash was about to grab Veronica, the pegasus slammed right into said bookshelf that Veronica knocked a book off of. “Ow….” She said as she heard some books fell off the shelf when she fell to the floor. Just as she looked up, she saw the bookshelf beginning to fall towards her. “Oh pony feathers.”

(Outside)

“You think Rainbow Dash is going to be okay?” Fluttershy asked.

“Now don’t you worry about her sugarcube.” Applejack said as she patted the cream colored pegasus on the head. “I’m sure Rainbow Dash will be fine.”

“I don’t know. After what Twilight told us, you sure she can handle her?”

“She’s just one girl, how can she possibly cause her that much trouble?”

“S-Still……”

“Look if it’ll make you feel better, I’ll go in there and see if Rainbow Dash needs any help. Will that make you less worry?” Applejack asked only to receive a nod from Fluttershy. “Okay then, I’ll be back before you say Applebucking season.” The farm pony said as she ran back into the abandoned castle.

“You do realize that they’re gonna get their flanks handed to them.” Trixie said, still trying to struggle to break free from the ropes.

“You obviously have no idea about my friends do you?” Twilight asked. “I have faith that they’ll get Veronica out of that Castle.”

“You really think that pegasus and a earth pony will be able to capture her? You clearly have no idea how powerful Veronica is.”

“From what I saw if she really did want to hurt us, she would’ve taken you and escape.”

“Trixie will enjoy seeing the look on your face when Veronica returns to get me.”

“I’m going to ring your neck you little twerp!” Rainbow Dash yelled as she tried to catch the countess, only for her to dodge out of the way and made a hard right down the hall. “Hold still!”

“Yeah, like I’m gonna listen to someone like you.” Veronica said as she darted down the hall into a large vacant room. Judging by the way the tables are set along with the fancy looking chair covered in dust and cobwebs, it looked like a gathering place for everyone to eat in. “Ah, crap basket.”

“I got you now kid!” Rainbow Dash said as she once again tried to capture Veronica. The Vampire moved out of the doorway as she tried find a way out of the rooms she was in, only to stop when Rainbow Dash appeared in front of her causing Veronica to fall back. “You think you can get away from the fastest pegasus in Equestria?”

“Honestly, yes.” Veronica said as she turned around and run towards the doorway, only for Rainbow Dash to appear in front of it.

“What part of fastest pegasus in Equestria did you not understand?” The pegasus said as she slowly walked towards Veronica. “Enough playing around. You’re coming with us to see the princess.”

“Like I would go with someone like you.” Veronica looked around the room for either something to use as a weapon or a way to escape. Slowly backing away from the rainbow maned pegasus, the vampire’s foot landed on a hidden trigger as the floor under her gave way and caused her to fall down into it.

“Seriously? What is up with this place?” Rainbow Dash asked as she tried to follow Veronica down the hidden trap door, only for it to close in front of her hitting her face on the hard floor. “Ow…”

“At last I’m safe.” Veronica said as her eyes adjusted to the darkness around herself. Pulling herself off the floor she began to look around to see if there was another doorway or something that lead to outside of the castle. “Seriously, who’s the idiot that made this place?” As the vampire continue to look for a way out, Veronica stepped on another hidden trigger as the wall she was next to open. The Vampire cheered in victory upon finding a way out, only for it to be short lived as saw the farm pony named Applejack appear in front of it. Surprised at the situation they were in, Veronica stepped on the switch again as the wall closed back up.

“Open this wall right now young lady!” Applejack yelled as she started banging at the wall.

“Okay, don’t panic Veronica. You’re safe in here. I mean it’s not like she can break this wall down….right?” Veronica thought, only to notice the light from behind the wall Applejack was banging on start to seep in into the room. “Okay time to go!” The vampire said as she tried to look for another way out. “Crap, not good. I can’t find a way out of here.” As she tried to look for a why out, the wall behind her fell as the room was not lite up from the light. “Oh crap, she found me!”

“Got you now kid.” Applejack said as she slowly walked towards Veronica. “Now come with so we can take you to Princess Celestia, and no pony has to get hurt.”

“Come on Veronica, think! You gotta take care of this pony and save Trixie from that lavender unicorn.” Veronica said as she closed her eye and tried to concentrate on a way to escape. During her concentration, she felt that her body was feeling strange. Unbenounced to her, Veronica consciousness faded away as a blank stare and expression appeared on her face.
“[Greater Teleportation]” She said as she vanish in a blink of an eye from Applejack’s vision.

“What the? Where did she go?” Applejack said as she saw something fall from the ceiling of the room she was in. Flying down from the hole was Rainbow Dash, who was rubbing her left cheek from when she slammed into the floor above.

“Finally got that thing to open.”

“Nice ta see you RD, but did you know this mare can use magic?” Applejack asked.

“Yeah, but it’s not like she can teleport or anything, right?” The apple farmer just face hooved at Rainbow Dash’s reply. “What?”

“Take a guess why I asked ya if she knows magic…”

“....Oh…..We might need to head back and get Twilight to help us.”

(Outside)

“Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been in there for quite some time now.” Rarity said as she looked back at her friend Twilight. “You don’t think they could’ve lost track of Veronica, do you?”

“Don’t worry I’m sure they're on there way back with her as we speak.” Twilight said with confidence.

“I don’t think so.” Pinkie Pie said as she appeared beside Twilight.

“Why is that?” Rarity asked.

“Because she standing over there.” The Party pony said as she pointed at the vampire who appeared out of nowhere a few feet next to them.

Veronica blinked in confusion before slowly checking herself to make sure she didn’t lose anybody parts. “W-What just happen?”

“S-she can teleport? How can she teleport without a horn!?”

“Well she can use magic to silly.” Pinkie replied smiling at Twilight like it was obvious.

“What are you doing here?” Trixie yelled as she struggled to move. “Trixie told you to escape and she’ll meet up with you back at the house.”

“How did I get out here?” She asked as she looked over to her left to see Trixie along with the ponies from earlier. “Oh crap.” In a fit of panic, Veronica quickly turned around and bolted off. Only for a lavender color barrier appeared in front of her.

“Okay explain how you did that just now?” Twilight asked.

“Leave me alone, why can’t you freaks leave me alone and go on with whatever it is you do in life?” The vampire said as she tried to jump over the barrier, only for the barrier became a dome surrounding her. “Let me out of here!” Veronica yelled as she banged her fist onto the wall of the dome.

“Well, that was easier than I thought. Now all we have to do is wait for Rainbow Dash and Applejack to come back.” Twilight said as she notice Veronica making rude gestures at her. “Make faces all you want I’m not letting you out until we meet the princess.”

“If you don’t let me out, I’m going to kick your ass from here to overlord knows where in Equestria!”

“Overlord? Who’s that?” Pinkie Pie asked, pushing her face up against the dom. “Does he or she like parties? Oh! Would you like a party?”

“If you let me go, and I’ll answer your questions.”

“Not happening.” Twilight replied as looked over at Pinkie Pie “No Pinkie, we’re going to take her to see Celestia so she can talk with her.”

“Darling as much as I’d like to leave, Rainbow Dash and Applejack are still inside the castle.” Rarity said as she looks at the castle. “You don’t think they’re lost do you?”

“Let’s wait for them to return. I get the feeling that they might come back to ask for my assistance after Veronica’s little teleporting spell.”

“Great, less than a few minutes and I might end up being sent to prison or something worse.” Veronica thought as she leaned against the dome. “Think girl, there has to be some way out of this.” As the vampire was lost in thought, a mysterious echoed into her head.

“Stupid child, how long are you going to be this ignorant?”

“Huh? Who said that?” Veronica asked as she looked around to find where the voice was coming from.

“Ignorant child, looks like I’ll have to get you of this situation that you could easily get out of.”

“What are you-.” Veronica was cut short in mid-sentence as she felt something trying to take control of her body. “W-What are you doing?”

“Trying to take control of my body, but it would seem that I can’t for some reason. Tsh, that damn King Cosmos and that fucking seal he placed on my body.”

“What are you talking about? What are you doing to me?” Veronica asked as she felt her arm lift up as it started to glow.

“Just shut up and watch.” The voice said as Veronica felt her lips move on their own. “Magic Destruction.” She said as the magical dome disappeared from around herself.

“How-what-you?!” Twilight gasped, loss for words as to what just happen. Before she could register what happen, she was stuck by some kind of cold spell as she felt herself being in cased in ice from the neck down. Looking up she could see Veronica’s hand turn blue as lowered her hand and smiled at the unicorn in a childish, but devilishly way.

“What are doing to them? Stop it!”

“Normally I would kill them, but seeing how I don’t have control of MY body this will have to due.” The mysterious voice said as she turned her attention at Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity.

“Wow you just turned Twilight into a ‘Twi-acil’” Pinkie giggled, only for Veronica’s hand to turn green as vines sprouted out from the ground and wrapped themselves around her. “It was just a joke.”

“You didn’t have to do that.”

“It was a horrible joke and she should feel bad for saying that.” The voice said as she felt something pulling on her body. “Now what?” She asked as she notice the white unicorn trying to restrain her with her magic.

“Now darling, let not do anything that we will regret.” Rarity said as she backed away slowly.

“Foolish pony, you really think something like this will stop me?” Without even lifting a finger, the sky blue aura that was around Veronica disappeared. “Weak.” The voice said mentally as she point a finger at Rarity, as spider webs appeared from out of the forest and wrapped themselves around the white unicorn, trapping her in a web like cocoon.

Veronica’s ears twitch as she heard a small squeak come from off to the side. She turned around to see the cream colored pegasus shivering in fear. In a blink of an eye, Veronica appeared in front of Fluttershy as she stared deeply into her eyes.

“You better not hurt her or else.”

“If I wanted to do that, then I would’ve done so already.” The voice said as her eyes glowed scarlet red, causing Fluttershy to have a blank expression to appear on her face. “Go untie Trixie from those ropes that the farm pony placed her in.” She ordered as Fluttershy walked over to Trixie and untied her. “Now, tie yourself in it.” with a simple nod, Fluttershy did as she was told and tied herself up. After seeing that she was tied up nice and tightly, the voice snapped her fingers as it broke Fluttershy from out of her trance induced state. “Now to deal with the other-.” Before the voice could finish, she felt her grip on Veronica’s body starting slip. “Dammit, out of time.”

“What do you mean? Just who are you and how did you do what you just did?”

“I don’t have to answer to you faker. Now begone from my sight, you disgust me for even talking to me.” The voice said as Veronica felt herself falling to the ground.

“Ow….W-What just happen?”

“That what the great and powerful Trixie want to know to.” Trixie said as she walked over to Veronica. “Is there something you’re not telling Trixie?”

“I told you before, I don’t know. It’s just like what happen before when you found me, only this time…. It like there was someone or something taking control of my body.”

“Well we’ll worry about that later, let’s get out of here before the other two show up.”

Veronica nodded as she tried to pull herself up, only for her to stumble back onto the ground. “I don’t think I can get up.”

“Please tell Trixie you’re joking right?”

“If I was, then I wouldn’t be on the ground. Please help me.”

Trixie sighed as she picked Veronica up and placed her on her back.“Fine, The Great and Generous Trixie will carry you.” The magician said as she darted off into the forest with Veronica on her back.

“Well, there go my welcome to ponyville party.” Pinkie Pie said with a deep sigh.

“I be more worry about how we are going to get out this then a party Pinkie dear.” Rarity said as she tried to struggle out of the cocoon she was in. “These spiderwebs are ruining my mane, and I just got it washed last night.”

“Umm, I’m a little more worried about Twilight catching a cold.” Fluttershy said looking at Twilight in the ice. “Or something worse.”

“I-I’m h-hoping that R-Rainbow Dash and Applej-jack get here s-soon.” Twilight said, shivering from the ice she was in cased in. “W-We n-need to r-regroup and f-form a n-new plan.”

Chapter 5: The Calm before the Storm

(Trixie’s Trailer)

“Okay, we have about a couple of hours after what you did to Twilight and her friends.” Trixie said as she began to repair the wheel to her trailer home.

“You sure they won’t find us here?” Veronica asked as lifted her head from off the couch she was on.

“Unless they have a way to track us down. And even if they did, they’ll have a hard time finding us seeing how the trailer is invisible. How are you feeling?”

“A bit tired, but I’m okay.”

“That’s good to hear. So mind explaining to Trixie what just happen back at the ruined castle?”

“I...I don’t know really. One minute I was trying to figure out a way to escape, then the next thing I know some kinda of mysterious voice took control of my body.”

“Like an evil spirit or a curse?”

“I don’t know…..but I don’t like it…at all.” Veronica slumped down onto the couch as she covered herself with a blanket that Trixie gave when she placed the countess on the couch. “Don’t you know some kind of magic that can deal with something like this?”

“Trixie doesn’t, but she might be able to know somepony that help with your problem.”

“Who would that be?”

“From what Trixie heard from the ponies in Ponyville, there is a zebra named Zecora that might be able to deal or figure out the problem you just had.”

“You think this zebra will be able to help me?”

“Maybe, but we’ll have to come back here next time when the heat dies down on us.”

“Why can’t we go see this zebra now?”

“Because Twilight and her friends will return once they recover from what you did. Knowing her she’ll end up sending some kind of letter to the princesses about where we are. So we need to leave ASAP before Princess Celestia or Princess Luna send in the royal guard to search the forest for us.”

“Princess...Celestia….” Veronica mumbled as she place a hand on her head.

“You okay?”

“Y-Yeah…J-Just that name sounds familiar for some reason. Do you know how to fix the wheel to the trailer?”

“Of course Trixie does.” The Unicorn said as she lifted the book up with her magic. “With this book and Trixie’s amazing magic, she’ll have this trailer mobile in no time!” She said as a piece of the wheel broke off. “.....Trixie can fix that.”

“We’re gonna be here for a while.”

“Have faith in the Great and Powerful Trixie. For she has the skills to fix this.” Upon saying that, another piece of the wheel fell off again. “.....She can fix that as well.” She said which caused Veronica to have a deadpanned expression on her face.

“Yeah, we’re gonna be here for a while.”

(Canterlot)

“We are telling you sister that sending your student and her friends is a bad idea.” Luna said as she walked back and forth in the throne room.

“I have faith in my student and her friends in completing her mission.” Celestia said as she was busy filling out paper forms.

“And what if they fail at it? You know what Shalltear is capable of?”

“I know what’s she’s capable of. But judging from the letter that Twilight sent me, it would appears that Shalltear is weaken. Which means Twilight will be able to bring her in peacefully and without-” Halfway into her sentence, a letter from a certain faithful student appeared right in front of the sun princess. Celestia grabbed the letter from in front of her as she began to read it. “....It would appear we might have a situation on our hands.”

“Let me guess, Twilight and her friends failed in her mission?” Luna asked, only for Celestia to say nothing but roll the letter up.

“I will be sending some of the Royal Guards to search the Everfree Forest until Twilight and her friends recover from their…recent attack from Shalltear.” Celestia said as she pulled herself up from her throne seat as her horn began to glow. “I will be back shortly sister.” with that, the sun princess teleported off the the guard barracks. Leaving Luna alone in the throne room as a bat pony wearing a ninja like clothing appeared behind her.

“Princess Luna, we have the Lunar Guards ready at your command.”

“Good, relay this message to them.” Luna said as she turned to face the bat pony. “Have them search the Everfree Forest for Shalltear.” She said as she levitated a picture of what the countess looks like. “Find her and take her out no matter what.”

“.....You want us to attack….a child?”

“Do not be fooled by her innocents. Let your guard down around her and she’ll kill you without you knowing.”

“Are you sure you want us to kill her? Wouldn’t your sister be-.”

“What my sister fails to see is that monster planning for our downfall. You are to find Shalltear and kill her at once. Do whatever it takes to bring this monster down, without killing any ponies or innocent monsters. Got it?” The bat pony simply nodded as he disappeared into the shadows. “Soon Shalltear, your plan to rain chaos across Equestria will end here.”

(Ponyville, Twilight’s home)

“ACHOO!” Sneezed the lavender unicorn as grabbed a tissue to wipe her nose with. “Okay, the letter is sent. *Sniff* Now all we can do is wait for Princess Celestia to reply.”

“Are you sure it was a good idea to get the Princesses involved?” asked Fluttershy. “Maybe we should just let her go, and see if she’ll come back with us.”

“I doubt it seeing she’s with Trixie of all ponies.” Rainbow Dash said as huffed in annoyance. “ I can’t believe that kid escaped us.”

“Well she did look really mad when we trapped her. Maybe she doesn’t like enclosed spaces?” said Pinkie Pie while helping Rarity pulling spider webs from her main.

“Be that as it may, we can’t allow her to roam free on her own. After what she displayed when we first found her and recently, we need the princesses to help us in this situation.” Twilight said as she blew her nose on another piece of tissue paper.

“So what do we do now?” Applejack asked.

“*Sniff* For now we wait until Princess Celestia or Princess Luna sends a letter about the situation with this Shalltear girl.”

“I thought her name was Veronica?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Whatever her name is, we just have to wait and see.” Twilight said as she wrapped herself around with a blanket as she levitated a book from the shelf towards her. “Till then I’m going to look up some information about vampires, or more specifically Veronica.”

(Trixie’s Trailer)

“So how’s the wheel coming along Trixie?” Veronica asked as she looked over the unicorn’s shoulder.

“It’s….going well. Trixie should have the wheel done in no time.” Trixie said, only for her to see Veronica stare at her with a blank expression.

“You know there’s nothing wrong with asking for help.”

“Trixie does not need help. She knows what she’s doing.” The mare said as she levitated a box full of nails along with a hammer. “She’s just out of practice that’s all.”

“You know lying doesn’t help your case Trixie.”

“Oh yeah well…..shut up.”

“Nice come back.”

“Hey, I don’t see you trying to fix this stupid wheel.” Trixie said as she began to hammer a nail into the somewhat broken wheel.

“I’m a little kid with little to no knowledge of my past. What did you expect when you found me in the forest…plus I don't even know how to fix a wheel."

“How can somepony who took down Twilight and her friends not know how to-.” Before Trixie could finish, she accidentally slammed the hammer onto her thumb causing her to yelp in pain. “Motherbucker!” Trixie yelled as she quickly covered her mouth and looked at the young vampire. Who was trying not to laugh at Trixie’s pain and outburst.

“Y-You okay Trixie?” Veronica asked as she let out snorts and giggles. “T-That looked like it hurts.”

“Trixie is fine.” She lied as she started blowing on her injured thumb. “She meant to do that only to try to cheer you up.”

“Sure you were, and I’m not a tap dancing on the moon.”

“Whatever!” Trixie said as she lifted herself off the floor as she walked off into the bathroom. “I need to take care of this. I’ll be right back.” As Trixie makes her way into the other room, Veronica pulled herself off the couch as she walks over to the unfinished wheel. Looking down at the wheel, she felt the same strange voice appear into her head.

“How pathetic. You think the Great and Powerful Trixie would be useful then this.”

“You again?”

“Yes me you idiot. Did you forget that I live inside your body? Or should I say you live inside my body.”

“What do you want? Didn’t you say you weren’t going to talk or something?”

“You don’t tell me what to do harlet. I’m only here to take care of something that the stupid mare could do with a simple spell.”

“And why should I trust you after what you did before?”

“Whether you like or not we’re stuck together. Just because I can’t control my body fully, dosen’t mean I can’t use parts of my body to do certain things.” Veronica felt the same force from before move her hand as the wheel levitated into the air.

“What are you doing?”

“Taking care of the problem your idiot friend failed to do.” The voice said as a crimson aura wrapped itself around the wheel. In a blink of an eye, the aura disappeared as the wheel looked like it was brand new. “There, the deed is done.”

“Um...wow….thanks?”

“I don’t need you thanks welp. Don’t expect me to help you with stuff like this.” The voice said as it released it’s grip on Veronica. Just as it did, Trixie returned with her thumb bandage up.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie has returned with her thumb magically healed up!” Trixie said, showing the countess her bandaged up thumb.

“Nice to see that you’re okay now.” Veronica said as she pointed to the wheel. “Fixed the wheel while you’re gone.”

“How the hay did you do that?” She asked as she levitated the wheel towards herself. “I thought you said that you didn’t know how to fix it?”

“You know that mysterious voice I was telling you about? Well it appears it helped us out with our wheel problem.”

“.....Okay...Yeah we’re gonna get that looked at once we leave the forest. For now let’s get this onto the trailer and get out of this Celestia forsaken forest.”

“I think I’ll stay inside.” Veronica said as she hops onto the couch. “I’m still a little tired from out run in at the abandoned castle.”

“It shouldn’t take me that long to get the wheel hooked onto the trailer. Once I’m done we can leave.” With a glow from her horn, Trixie teleported outside to place the newly repaired wheel onto the trailer. Leaving Veronica alone as she turned the TV on in the room she was in.

“Guess I’ll just wait and relax for a bit until Trixie needs me for something.”

“Which I’m pretty sure she will seeing how she can’t do anything by herself.”

“You’re not nice.”

“I’m never nice.”

Chapter 6: A Fluffy Encounter

“Okay, it took Trixie a while but she thinks she finally got the wheel back onto the trailer.” Trixie said as she moved away from the trailer to admire her handy work. “Trixie must say that she is pretty good when it comes to fixing stuff like this.”

“Is the wheel back on?” Veronica asked as she popped her head out the window.

“Yes, The Great and Powerful Trixie has fixed the wheel to her trailer.” The mare said as she took a bow. “Hold your applause everypony.”

“.....You’re really weird Trixie.”

“Whatever, just get back inside while Trixie looks over the trailer to make sure we’re ready to leave.”

“Fine Ms. Showoff.” Veronica said, rolling her eyes as she goes back inside and jumped onto the couch. As she landed on the couch, she felt something poking her bottom as she reached from under herself and pulled out a strange dark sea green pointy stone like rock. “Trixie really need to clean this place. It’s bad enough that it’s dusty, but leaving stuff around like this will get someone hurt.” She said as she tossed the stone to the side as it fell to the floor. As the stone hit the floor, it bursts into flames; stained the floor with a lava like substance. After which, two massive reptilian claws lashed onto the ground. Out fear Veronica bolted up from the couch, and ran over the the empty room for cover.Watching from the doorway, the vampire saw dragon’s head rose out from the mini lava pit and proceeded to burp out a small black cat like creature with golden markings and a cute purple, and light pink thing with Ribbons. After the dragon spat out the two creatures, the dragon disappeared as it sank back into the ground.

he black thing unstuck it’s face from the ground with a comedic *POP*, revealing a dazed flat face with red eyes. “Now that’s a entrance!” It said as it shook its head.

The other creature picked itself up while rubbing the back of it’s head “Something tells me that stuff like that is going to happen often…”

“Kristana, this me we’re talking about; of course stuff like that will happen often.” The black cat thing replied. “Right than, where are we?” He said as he began to look around the Trailer before shortly landing his eyes on the Vampire. “Oh, ello there!” he waving a paw at her, while Kristana looked at her curiously.

“Oh…..my….god.” Veronica said, eyeing the two of them in shock before slowly walking towards them. “You two are so cute!” She said causing Kristana to blush lightly at that.

“Oh she is most definitely!” Shiro called over with a teasing grin aimed towards Kirstana, who then blushed even more.

“Who or what are you two?” Veronica asked as she unknowingly appeared in front of Shiro and pulled him in for a hug. “Did you two live inside that stone that Trixie had?”.

“Gah!” Shiro said in response to being hugged. “Um, no; you see the Moon Stone as I call summoned us here.” He said as he pulled out a sheet of paper from out of nowhere, greatly confusing the Girl. “Says here one needs to call forth by speech.”

“I'm sorry what?”

“Nothing dear.”.

“Don’t ask, he does this all the time…” Kristana said giggling slightly at Shiro, before taking out a camera and taking a picture.

“Wait, where did that come from?” Veronica asked in confusion.

“I.. don’t...know?” Kristana replied, also confused.

“My doing~!” Shiro said in a sing song tune.

“Okay....anyway who are you two and where did you come from?” Veronica asked, still cuddling Shiro like a plushie.

“Name’s Sheogorath Spirit Of Entropy; but just call me Shiro miss…?” Shiro replied, before indicating the question.

“Veronica Bloodfallen.”

“How dare you take my last name you little bitch!” The voice said only for Veronica to ignore it.

“Because she can, litt’l voice!” Shiro spoke out abruptly, causing a silence to rang out.

“Wait….you can hear the voice in my head?”

“You can hear me inside of my own body?”

“Yep, as I said: Spirit Of Entropy.” He responded proudly. “Wait, what do you mean your body?”

“I don’t have to tell you anything pest. The sooner I get my body back from this….false imitation of me, the sooner I can finish what I started long ago.” The voice said before is felt a sudden surge of fatigue. “Dammit, I don’t have time for this stupidity. You can do whatever you want with them faker, I’m going back to sleep.”

“Awww, I was hoping to pull a Pinkie Pie…” Shiro whined slightly.

“A what?” Kristana asked.

“I’d guess the situation and it being correct.”

The girls looked at him oddly after he said that. “Is he okay in the head?” Veronica asked as she looked over at Kristana.

“No.” Both guests answered, Kristana with a tired sigh while Shiro gave off a goofy smile.

“You’re weirder than Trixie.” The Countess said as she pulled Shiro in closer in her hug. “But you’re still adorable and cute for a strange creature.” Kristana giggled at Shiro’s bugged out eyes, holding on of her ribbons in front of her mouth. Obviously, she was trying to not laugh out loud.

“Grk! Nat-uraly!” He grunted a bit “Also, I-m an Umbero-n! Loosen the grep p-please!”

“Well, I’m Kristana, a Sylveon. Pleasure to meet you.” Kristana said with a polite bow.

“Those are weird some names for your species.”

“Yeah, pokemon can have weird names. Klinklang for example.” Kristana responded in agreement. Then she saw the Countess’s expression. “Oh, pokemon is the term for the collection of different species such as me and shiro.”

“Wait.” Shiro cough out “You don’t know what a pokemon is?”

“Nope.”

“How? Pokemon is one of the most famous franchises back on Earth!” Shiro cried, suddenly not bothered by being squeezed.

“I don’t know. All I remember was waking up in Trixie’s trailer when she found me in the Everfree Forest.”

“Ah, Amnesia…” Shiro said, trailed off for a moment before looking back at Veronica. “Well, sorry. I maybe a Spirit Of Entropy, but I can’t restore lost memories. I’d have to know them to recreate them in the first place…”

“Oh…..okay.” Veronica sigh as she was about to say something, only for a certain magic mare to enter back into the trailer.

“Okay, Trixie has finished looking over her trailer. We’re ready to go-” Trixie stopped in mid sentence as she looked at Veronica holding onto Shiro.

“Ello!” Shiro called while Kristana smiled kindly and waved.

“Um…Veronica...who are these weird looking creatures, and where did they come from?”

“She’s a Sylveon and I’m an Umbreon!” Shiro answered. “And she accidentally summoned us from another World using our token!” He said smiling goofingly.

“...Trixie gets the feeling that weird stuff is going to continue to happen to her after meeting you Veronica.”

“Hey, how was I supposed to know that stone I found would summon these two adorable pokemon. I figure the stone was yours and you forgot it in the sofa.”

“Haha! Yep, the Displaced are prime targets of Murphy's Law!” Shiro said with a hearty laugh.

“Displaced?” said the mare and vampire in union. “What do you mean by that?”

“ A Displaced is someone who gets sent from Earth. Well usually from that world, Krstana wasn’t but usually this is because they go to a convention of videos games comic or whatever, dressed up as a fictional character. They then buy something from a guy whose sometimes dressed as the Merchant from Resident Evil, who then sends them to a random Equestria.”

“...Well that answer a few of Trixie’s question. But I’m still a bit confuse about this displaced thing.”

“You’re not the only one Trixie.” Veronica said as she rubs her head. “I’m not really sure I understand this whole displaced thing.”

“Yeah, no one does. At least so the time being.” Shiro nodded. “Oh, Displaced have the power to summon other Displaced from other Equestria. This also means other DIsplaced can summon you Veronica, if you create a token to be the catalyst. ”For example~!” Shiro said before slipping out of Veronica‘s grasp and grabbed the Moon Stone. “This Moonstone is my token, so other Displaced can summon me if they so wish.” He said as he hands the Stone over to her as a voice speak through it.

“ELLO! The name’s Shiro! Just call out my name and I will come on over, maybe in a dramatic way, cuz that's how I am. Just be ready for the CRAZINESS that I insure. Crimson will be sad if you don’t call~!” “Oi! No I won’t!

"Eh? Why did it cover that last bit?” Shiro asked “Oh whatever, what you heard was the oath I spoke through the token. It’s kinda like a calling card.”

“So displaced keep in contact with each other just by using a stone like this?”

Shiro nodded “Yes and tokens can be any item, be it a sword or a tiny crystallised heart!” he said before a grim expression appeared on his face. “Oh and before I forget, bear in mind not all Displaced are good guys. The first displaced I met told me that. Be careful, got it?”

“Noted….so how do I make my own token?”

“In order to make your own token, you’re going to to need to…uh, how do I explain it…? You take an object, preferably one the size of the palm of your hand or smaller, and “pour your essence into it. Or at least that what I was told. Oh and create an oath or message.”

“Okay….how do I do that?”

“Ummm, try to feel for your magic and try to make a implant on the chosen object, I guess?” Shiro said as he scratches the side of his head. “Sorry, I used my chaos magic to create and send mine into the void.”

“Wait, chaos magic?!” Trixie exclaimed. “Are you some kind offspring or something related to Discord?”

“Nah, though he was my prison-mate-in stone in my Equestria due to a misunderstanding with Celestia.” Shiro said glancing over to Trixie.

“You were imprisoned by Celestia?”

“Yep, via The Elements of Harmony due to a misunderstanding!” Shiro said irrably. “If you see someone try to seal you in stone, DON’T LET THEM! It’s hell on sanity… I got lucky with my mind being connected to Discord’s at the time… never again.” He shivered at the memory as Sylveon patted his back with her Ribbon Feelers. “Thats right, a Sylveon’s ribbons can give positive emotions, I forgot that.” He muttered, smiling a tad.

“Might be a bad time to say this, but seeing how you brought that up we’re kinda being followed by Twilight and her friends.” Trixie said.

“Oh?” Both Eevelutions asked. “How long ago did this start?” Kristana added.

“A few hours ago.” Veronica answered. “I don’t know why they’re after, and personally I don’t want to find out.”

“ I guess they didn’t say?” Shiro asked. “Though I betting that Rainbow would’ve tried capturing you by force regardless, arrogant show off…” He whispered the last part which Veronica was able to hear.

“She kinda did, but failed when I was able to lose her within the abandoned castle.”

“Called it… right let's get back on track, try creating your token. What item do you want to use?” The flat faced Umbreon asked.

“I….don’t really have or know what item to use.”

“Would a Bat Plushie work?” Shiro asked pulling said plush from behind his ear once more demonstrating his chaos magic.

“I guess that will do. What do I do next?”

“Try infusing it with your magic. Then come up with an oath or message. Speaking it or thinking it will work either way.”

“Okay…how do I do that?”

“........ uhhhhhhhhhhh. I guess I could draw out your magic via Chaos Magic.” Shiro said. “Stay still, I haven't done this before…” He warned before concentrating with his eyes closed.

“I-Is this going to hurt?”

“Not if I can help. Aaaand now you can’t feel pain should this go horribly…..” Shiro responded before delving his magic into her to draw her’s out. Despite the no pain thing, she can still feel the magic touch hers. It made her shiver, like a piece of dry ice was touching her heart without the pain. As quickly as it was, it was gone. “And there, this should work.” Shiro said holding a mist with a mixture of the colors jet black and dark magenta within a bubble of his own magic, which was a rather dull grey but seemed like you could reach your arm in there. “And to tied to the token…” The magic began weaving into the plushie. As if in response, the toy floated over to the Countess and seemed to wait for something. “Try giving it a message. Any Displace who get your token will hear and know who they’re summoning.”

“Okay, that shouldn’t be hard to do.” Veronica said as she grabbed the bat plushie from out of the air. “Um, hi, my name is Veronica Bloodfallen. If you need someone to talk to, um...just use this token to summon me...I guess….um bye.” The vampire said as she looked at Shiro. “Like that?”

He nodded “Uh huh, will that message work? No changes?”

“I don’t know what else to say at this point really.” As she says this, the newly made token shot upward into a rift into the void and closed quickly.

“And there is goes!” Shiro pointed out the obvious.

“So what happens now?”

“You’re just going to have to wait. Or do you mean sending us back?” Shiro asked.

“Well we’re about to head out seeing how Trixie fixed the wheel to her Trailer. I don’t think we’re in any danger at this point.”

“Ok then, guess we can head out then. Call us on if you are in trouble any time. Oh, and normally if you want to send someone back you just say “Our contract is complete”. I can get us out though.” Shiro replied.

“Sounds simple enough.” Veronica said as she grabbed Shiro’s token. “Um, our contract is complete. You can go home now.” she said as a portal appeared behind Shiro and Kristana.

“Uh, I said I get us out regardless, but no biggie. See ya later.” He said as he vanished into the portal.

“Farewell you two!” Kristana said bidding farewell as she too vanished into the portal.

“.....Okay next time you find a weird looking time in Trixie’s home, come run it by me before doing something like this okay?” Trixie asked as she got a nod from Veronica. “Good, now as Trixie was saying before we’re ready to leave this forest.”

“If this trailer is mobile, how do you intent to move it?”

“Trixie’s Trailer can float off the ground with the help these magic stone.” The mare said as she showed Veronica a blue stone with a symbol on it. “Trixie got these from a monster during her travels. She said that these stones can make my trailer float. But not into the air, just enough to get off the ground.” She said as she made her way to the driver’s seat of her trailer. “Don’t worry, The Great and Powerful Trixie is a master at driving.”

“Do you even have a license to drive this?”

“Trixie just got her license yesterday. Now hold on tight Veronica.” Trixie said as Veronica quickly latched herself onto the couch as the trailer began to float. “See? Trixie is a master at driving.”

“But you said you just got your license yesterday.”

“....Like I said she’s a master driver.” Turning the steering wheel, Trixie drove the trailer towards the dirt path of the forest that lead straight out of the Everfree Forest. “I’ll turn the stones off once we hit a road that isn’t covered in tree roots and rock. Don’t want to lose another wheel and have to repair it again now do we?”

“No, no we don’t.” The Countess said as she relaxed a bit onto the couch. “So where are we going now?”

“Seeing how Celestia and the others are gonna be looking around the Everfree forest for us, we’re gonna be hiding out in Manehatten seeing how it’s the most populated city in Equestria.”

“You sure it that’s a good idea?”

“It’s either that or stay in the forest. Which we can’t do if Celestia has a spell to find us. In the city we can blend in with the crowd and hide from anypony that knows us.”

“That seems like a smart idea.”

“Indeed, now hold on tight.” Trixie said as her horn glowed, causing the trailer to move slightly faster.

Chapter 7: Expect the Unexpected

“I think we’re lost.” Veronica said as she looked outside the window.

“We are not lost. The Great and Powerful Trixie knows this forest like the back of her hand.” Trixie said as she continue driving the trailer.

“We pass that same tree with the funny face on it three times already.” The Countess said as she pointed at the tree.

“Trixie knows that. She’s just testing you to see if you’re paying attention.” The mare said, only for Veronica to roll her eyes. “Now keep an eye out for anything odd.”

“Like I have nothing better to do today.” She mumbled as she looked out into the Everfree Forest. “Hey Trixie. You been here in Equestria for a long time have you?”

“Trixie have been living in Equestria for all her life, yes.”

“Are there any other….well beings like me?”

“Trixie believe so. There have been a bunch of weird creatures popping out of nowhere for some reason. Not to mention the ones in the Everfree Forest.”

“There are some in this place?”

“More like a village, but they only let a few ponies in to that place from what I heard. Only they can let trustworthy ponies in there.”

“Why is that?”

“Trixie doesn’t know really. All she knows is that they only let certain ponies in there.” Trixie said as she made another turn pass the same tree from before.

“We pass the same tree again.”

“Trixie knows that! Just pay attention to our surroundings, okay?”

“Fine, fine, I’ll look at the stupid forest to see if anyone is following us.” Veronica said as she turns back to looking out at the Everfree Forest. “I don’t see what the point in looking out for anyone. It’s not like they would send someone in this dangerous place.”

“You should take this serious faker.” said the voice.

“Will you stop calling me faker you stupid voice.”

“Why should I? You taken over my body, couldn’t even escape from those ponies at the castle, had to rely on that idiot of a mare for assistance like you’re a child, and to make matters even worse you don’t even have any knowledge of almost anything. So yeah I’ll call you a faker until the day either you die, or until I get my body back from you.”

“God, what did you have this morning? Wheat constituted jerk?”

“That doesn’t make any sense you idiot! Gods it’s like you just make up stuff that comes to your head!”

“Or...I’m being rhetorical.”

“.....I hate you….so...much.”

“Well maybe you should be a little nice to me. Being nice won’t kill you would it?”

“No, but that arrow that’s about to hit you in the head will.”

“What arrow to the-.” Veronica looked up at the trees as she saw something shining heading towards her. “Oh snap!” She yelled as she quickly ducked, as the arrow missed her and hit the floor next to her.

“Looks like we’re being hunted.”

“By who?”

“I could tell you...but I won’t. You’ll just have to find out for yourself.” The voice said as it goes back to being silent.

“Some help you are.” Veronica said as she quickly closed the window. “Trixie! We’re under attack!”

“Under attack by who?”

“I don’t know. All I saw was an arrow that almost hit me, but it missed and hit the floor.” Veronica said as she walked over to the arrow and pulled it out of the floor board.

“What does the arrow look like?”

“Just a normal looking arrow with a dark blue tip on it!” Veronica answered as she only heard silence for a few seconds. “Trixie?” The Countess soon felt the trailer increase in speed as she fell onto her bottom. “Trixie, what’s going on!?”

“Just stay away from the windows and hold on to something!” The unicorn said as she pulled out a red stone, causing the trailer to pick up speed.

“Damn, missed.” said a bat pony floating in the air as he placed his bow back onto his back. “How could I’ve miss something so small?”

“Worry about it later. Right now we have to go after them and kill the creature that the unicorn is harboring. Have the others chase after them. Destroy the trailer if you have to, but don’t kill the blue unicorn.” The bat pony nodded as he and his comrades flew after Veronica and Trixie.

“I was hoping to take her out in one-shot, but it looks like we’re gonna have to chase after her.” The bat pony said as he flew off after the trailer. “Keep your distance and make sure you don’t stare into her eyes. From what Princess Luna told us, she can manipulate anypony who looks into them.”

“What do we do about the trailer sir?” The bat pony with midnight color mane asked. “It doesn’t appears to be using its wheels while running away from us.”

“Go off ahead of us, and have the others prepare to block their escape route. If we can’t stop them here, then we’ll stop them up ahead.”

“Yes sir!” With a salute the female bat pony zoomed off a head of the group and pass the trailer.

“Ponies! Do whatever it takes to stop that trailer!” He said as he took his bow from off his back, and prepared to fire another arrow at the trailer. Only this time he was aiming at the roof. “Aim at the roof! One of the arrow should be able to hit her if we’re lucky!”

“Trixie, what going on?” Veronica asked, trying to keep herself steady while the mare was driving like a bat out of hell. “Why are we running like we’re doomed?”

“That arrow you picked up belongs to Princess Luna’s Lunar Guards. Guess Twilight sent a letter to them about what you did to them back at the ruins.”

“I didn’t kill them or do anything to them. The voice was the one that did that to them.”

“Try telling them that. I doubt they’d believe you after attacking Twilight and her friends. If anything, I wouldn’t be surprise that they want to kill you because of that.”

“They’re going to kill me!? Isn’t that a bit extreme!?”

“You attacked the Elements of Harmony. I may not know that many rules about Equestria, but attack them is like attack Equestria...only on a smaller scale.”

“Sounds like you fucked up. What are you going to do now child?”

“Me? You’re the one that caused this mess by attack those six ponies from yesterday. You do something about.”

“And why should I?”

“Because if I die, you die as well. Or did you forget about that?”

“.....Shit….I actually forgot about that.”

“And you’re saying I’m the idiot.”

“Oh really? Well because of that little comment I’m not going to tell you about the same arrow from before is about to hit you from above. This time from the roof.” The voice said, causing Veronica to look up to see the arrow go through the roof and almost hit her in the face. Only for her hand to quickly grab it with her knowing she did it. “Does the word dodging register in that stupid head of yours!? Get you ass to someplace else and find cover!”

“You don’t have to yell!” Veronica tossed the arrow to the side and ran to the front of the trailer to where Trixie was. “We need to get out of this place. They’re firing arrows from above, and one of them almost hit me.”

“Trixie is working on it, but it’s kinda hard to drive with no traction on the road. Not to mention floating stone were meant for traveling, not for getting away from the royal guards!”

“Well do something! I’m too young to die!” Veronica yelled as she hid underneath Trixie’s cape in fear.

“T-Trixie will do her best. Just as long as we stay on this path, we’ll be able to make it out of here in no time.” Upon saying that, Veronica popped her head from underneath Trixie’s cape, as she had a deadpanned expression on her face. “What?”

“You just jinxed us, you know that right?”

“Oh please, what can they possibly do that can stop The Great and Powerful Trixie?”

Veronica looked over Trixie’s shoulder as her eyes widen. “How about a tree about the size of this trailer?”

“Please, like they would be able to do-.” Trixie was cut short as turned her attention in front of her. Her eyes widen as the path ahead of them was blocked by a cut down tree. “Oh sweet Celestia!” The unicorn yelled as she tried to stop the trailer from colliding with the trees, but it was too late. The trailer collided with the trees as it caused it to stop, and send the duo flying off deeper into the Everfree forest.

“Don’t let them escape! We have to take Shalltear down before she can escape into the forest!” The bat pony yelled as the other flew after them.

(Elsewhere, near an open lake)

Elsewhere in the everfree forest. Two creatures could be seen near a clearing that reveals an open lake surrounded by a group of trees. One of the creatures was anthropomorphic shark girl wearing what could be a one piece swimsuit, with a pair of red rose color goggles. The other was a dark skin colored Tamamo with long black hair, fox like ears, and nine fox tails. She was also wearing a shrine maiden’s outfit.

“Seriously Tammy, you gotta come and check this lake out.” The Shark girl said as she tossed a silver watch towards the fox girl as she caught it with her tail.

“Oh, looks like we found ourselves something to sell in town. Is that all you’re able to find down there, Aqua?”

“There’s more stuff down there, but it’s pretty much just rusty old scrap metal.” Aqua said as she jump out of the lake.

“Maybe one of the girls at the forge back in town could melt it down and use it?” Tammy asked, handing the shark girl a towel.

“Maybe, but we won’t get much money out of it. It would be different if it wasn’t rusty or old, then we would get something good out of it.”

“It not like we can go out and find something better.” Tammy said as she was about to say something else, only for her ears to twitch causing her to look into the forest. “Hey do you hear that?”

“Hear what? All I hear is just the frogs and bugs singing in the woods.”

“Listen.” Tammy said, closing her eyes as her ears twitched even more. “I can hear yelling.”

“Huh.” Aqua placed her hands on her own ears. “Now that you said that, so do I. Where is it coming from?”

“I don’t know, but it getting closer.” Tammy replied opening her eyes. “Was anyone meant to be out this afternoon?”

“Not that I know of. Most of the villagers come out only to hunt, or do the usual patrol around the area.”

“Maybe someone took a nap and ran into something?”

“Or it could be a vampire and a unicorn screaming while falling towards you.” Aqua said as she pointed up.

“What?” Tammy said as she looked up to see said vampire and unicorn land on top of her. “Ow….”

“Ouch, that’s going to hurt in the morning.” Aqua said as she tried not to laugh at her friend’s pain. As she tried her best not to laugh, the trailer that Trixie and Veronica were driving in landed into the pool of water and began to sink slowly.

“Ugh, Trixie feels like she was thrown into a brick wall.”

“I can’t believe we’re still alive after that mid air flight. It’s a good thing we landed on something soft to support our fall.” Veronica said as she pulled herself up from off of Trixie.

“Indeed, whatever it is that Trixie is sitting on is most comfortable.”

“Please… get your fat butt off my head…” Tammy asked from under Trixie flank. “C-Can’t….B-Breath.”

“Woops,” Trixie quickly pulled herself off of Tammy’s head. “Sorry about that. Trixie didn’t not see you there when we landed like that.”

“It okay, can’t be any worse than how my roommates can be from time to time.” Tammy replied before looking up at them. “Who are you two anyway?”

“I’m Veronica, and the pony next to me is-.” Trixie placed a finger in front of Veronica, causing her to stop talking for a moment.

“Allow me.” The mare said as she teleported a few feet away from the girls/ “Behold for you are in the presence of, The Great and Powerful TRIXIE!!!” She said as fireworks shot out from behind and into the air.

“There they are! I heard fireworks this way!” yelled a voice from the forest.

“Oh...Trixie forgot about the guards. Quickly to the trailer…where is my trailer?”

“You mean the thing that’s been slowly sinking into the lake?” Aqua said as she pointed over to the trailer, which was now underwater.

“AH! My home! I only had five more payments on that!”

“*Ahem?*” Veronica said as Trixie turned around to see the countess tapping her foot with her hands on her hips.

“Oh and our means of a getaway from the guards…hehe.”

“Wait, what guards?” Tammy asked.

“I think they mean them, right?” Aqua said as she point at the group of bat ponies surrounding them with their weapons at the ready.

“Okay, why are they pointing weapons at us?” Tammy asked as she started to play with her ear.

“Um, long story short we kinda got in trouble and now they’re here to kill me.” Veronica answered as she hid behind Trixie.

“Creatures and Pony! Step away from Shalltear Bloodfallen, and return to where ever you came from!” The bat pony said as he walked in front of his comrades. “I repeat. Step away from Shalltear Bloodfallen and return to where you came from!”

“...Are you being funny right now?” Tammy asked with a hint of anger in her voice. “If we could go home, then we would have done that years ago!”

“Yeah! You jackass!” Aqua shouted, which in turns caused some of the bat ponies to aim at her. “Maybe I should shut up before something else happens.”

“I will say this again. Step away from the vampire or we will use extreme force.”

“And here I thought you ponies were suppose to be nice and friendly.” Tammy said as her tails began to glow. “Guess we’ll have to do this without spilling blood then. [Night!]” The Tamamo said as will’o wisp like balls appeared in front of three of the bat ponies. At first it did nothing, but in a matter of seconds they blew up into puffs of smokes. Upon breathing in the smoke, the three bat ponies fell to the ground like a ton of bricks.

“With that out of the way, maybe you two can explain what happened?” Aqua asked as her hands began to glow blue, causing balls of water in the lake to float around herself.

“Trixie believe Twilight Sparkle has something to do with this.” Trixie answered as she stood in front of Veronica. “After what Veronica did-.”

“The voice!” Veronica said, interrupting the unicorn.

“Fine. The voice in Veronica’s head did to her and her friends back at the ruins. I’m wouldn’t be surprise they would want to kill her for that.”

“Why? Did she kill them or something?” Tammy asked, knocking another pony to sleep as she used her tail to bat away the oncoming arrows heading towards them.

“Why would I want to kill them?” Veronica asked, causing the Tamamo and Shark girl to look back at the countess in surprise.

“But...you’re a vampire right? Doesn’t your kind kill anyone that attack you or something?” Aqua asked as she fired a water ball the one of the bat ponies, trapping her in a aquatic bubble.

“Wait, how long have you been a vampire for?” Tammy asked.

“I don’t know. I just work up like this when Trixie found me in the middle of the forest.”

“Hm...I’ll have to bring you to one of the kings of our village to look into that.”The tamamo said, firing another will’o wisp ball at two more ponies knocking them unconscious, while Aqua imprison them in aquatic bubbles.

“If you two don’t mind saving this little chat for later. We haul ass out of here.” Aqua said as she turned to her fox friend. “Mind getting us out of here before we end up like your ancestor Tammy?”

“I wish you wouldn’t bring her up.” Tammy replied with a huff.

“Then get us out of here!”

“[Teleport]” Tammy said as she snapped fingers and teleport herself along with Aqua, Veronica, and Trixie out of the clearing and away from the bat ponies.

“What the? Where did they go?”

“They must have teleported back to their village sir.”

“Dammit, this is not good. It’ll make things difficult seeing how we can’t find where those creature live in the Everfree Forest.”

“What do we do sir?”

“Hm...inform Princess Luna about this, Crescent Moon.” The Leader said as the bat pony next to him flew off to Canterlot. “The rest of you start searching the forest for wherever they might be hiding out in or at. We’re not leaving until we find Shalltear Bloodfallen. Understand?” He asked as the group of ponies he was leading nodded. “Good, now get to searching.”

Chapter 8: Welcome to Dokapon Kingdom

(Canterlot Castle)

“Shalltear teleported away!?” Luna yelled as the bat pony covered his ears for a moment before lowering them.

“We didn’t think that she could do something like that. Not to mention we didn’t know she had allies with those monsters in the forest.”

“But how, as far back as we-I can remember. Shalltear never needed allies to help her fight.”

“Should I have the guards keep looking for her in the Everfree Forest?”

“No, if she did teleport, then we have no idea where she is, or how far she has gone. Start looking across Equestria for any information you find on her. Report your findings and wait for reinforcements.”

“At once my princess.” The bat pony said as he disappeared into the shadows for a moment, before returning again. “I know you have us looking for Shalltear, but your sister is requesting your presence in the throne room.”

“I’m on my way, please tell sister I’ll be there to meet her in a moment.”

“Yes, my princess.” He said as the bat pony disappeared again. Moments after the bat pony left her room, Luna made her way to the throne room where her sister order her to meet her in. Upon opening the door to the throne room, Luna was met with her sister, the elements of harmony, and a woman wearing a short purplish kimono standing in the middle of them .

“Sister who is this?” Luna asked, making her way next to Celestia.

“About time you showed up. I don’t like having to wait for someone to get here.” The woman said with an impatient look on her face.

“And who are you? You look more like an assassin then a messenger.” Luna said as she glared at the woman.

“It is unwise to attack a messenger that was sent by the six kings, one of them having to be your nephew.” The kunoichi said causing everyone in the room to be surprised by this.

“Blueblood is alive? But it was said that he died in a mudslide while on his way to an important meeting with the griffon ambassador.” Rarity said as the kunoichi shook her head.

“I assure you that he’s not dead. Now as for my reason for being here. I am here as both a messenger and a guide to Monster Village in the Everfree Forest.”

“Wait there a village in the Everfree? Are you crazy? Why would anypony live in that dangerous place?” Applejack asked

“The forest is our home. Not like you ponies clammed it.”

“Back to the matter at hand. You said Blueblood was one of the six kings. Who are these kings and what does Blueblood have to do with it?” Luna asked, as the kunoichi turned her attention back at Luna.

“That’s classified.”

“By who?”

“By the kings, that’s who. Like I said before. I am nothing more than a messenger and a guide.”

“Well what is the message?” Rainbow Dash asked as she glared at the woman.

“You have been invited to the monster village hidden in the Everfree Forest. You will be able to visit the village in seven days. You are not allowed to bring your soldiers or any type of weapons be it of magic or steel. You will not attack anyone within the village or it’s kingdom. If anyone of you do, then you will be punish. Knowing these demands do accept these terms?”

“We accept.” Celestia said as the kunoichi bowed to the her.

“Then I will be waiting for you all in front of the Everfree Forest. Until then.” In a blink of an eye, the kunoichi vanish into thin air. Leaving behind piece of wood in her leave.

“She turned into a log!” Pinkie Pie said as she picked up the log. “You think she’s okay with being just a hunk of wood?”

“Pinkie that not her, she just used a spell to switch places with the log.” Twilight explained. “I’ve heard of some low level magic users who use this kind of spell, this is my first time seeing it.

“So… Why did you agree to go to this place princess?” asked Rainbow Dash.

“This is the first I’ve heard of this village of monsters before. It would be interesting to see why this place has appeared out of nowhere along with the monsters appearing out of the Everfree Forest.”

“There also the slim possibility that Shalltear may have gone into the village. If that is true, then we can inform their kings about her and talk about having her handed over to us.” Luna added. “Not to mention our nephew is one of their rulers so this will go along smoothly.”

“Right then.” Celestia said as she pulled herself up from the seat she was sitting in. “We shall meet with the kings of the monsters within seven days. Be prepare for when we go my little ponies.”

“Ugh...I feel like I’m going to throw up…” Veronica said as she slowly opened her eyes, finding herself in a open field of grass. “Where am I?”

“The monster village. Or to be specific, you’re in one of the six kingdoms.”

“Care to explain because I have no idea what you’re talking about?”

“Ugh, I’ll make this as short as possible for your pea sized brain of yours. In the everfree forest there resides a hidden village that is made up of six kingdoms within it. Each kingdom has their own ruler that runs his or her own kingdom. Seeing how I’ve been locked inside of a coffin for the past 1,500 years or so, I have no idea if this place is still the same or different.”

“You seem to be talking to me more then usual. Starting to be more friendly towards me?”

“Don’t get the wrong idea faker. The reason why I’m telling you this is because we share the same body. The sooner I can take control of my body, the sooner I can return to lord Ainz Ooal Gown.”

“Who’s Ainz Goal Brownie?”

“THAT’S LORD AINZ OOAL GOWN TO YOU FAKER! DON’T YOU EVER EVEN SAY OR MISPRONOUNCES HIS NAME LIKE THAT AGAIN YOU FAKER!” The voice said, causing Veronica to cover her ears.

“Alright, geez. You don’t have to yell you know?” The Countess said as she slowly removed her hands from her ears. “Wait a minute, where’s Trixie and the others?”

“Judging by the way that Tamamo performed that incomplete teleportation spell, I take it they must be either somewhere in this kingdom, or in another one depending. I would recommend you get off your ass and start moving faker.”

“And why should I listen to a meanie like you? So far you been nothing but a jerk for the past few second and yesterday, so why should I listen to you now?”

“Because you’re standing on top of a girl that was with you before you got teleported out of the forest.” The voice said as Veronica looked down to see that she was standing on top of. “Now who feels stupid yeah fucking dumbass.”

“Shut up.” Veronica said as she quickly moved off of Aqua, and quickly pulled her up from the snow. “You okay lady?”

“My name is Aqua kid.” The shark girl said as she pulled herself up from while brushing the dust off of herself. “As to how I’m feeling, I’m fine...despite having you fall on top of me.”

“Again sorry...so...where are we?”

“Well seeing how we’re in an open field of grass, and the sky is pretty much sunny with a mix of clouds. We’re in the Dokapon Kingdom.”

“Dokapon Kingdom?”

“You never heard of it before? Wait, are you new to the whole kingdom thing or what?”

“You could say that, yes.”

“Huh, so you’re new here then? Then it looks like I’ll have to get you Peppita.”

“Peppita? Who’s that?”

“In Dokapon Kingdom, there is a school for those that are new to this place. Mainly a mix of monsters that are new to the whole finding themselves in Equestria sorta deal.”

“You mean displaced?”

“What?”

“Displaced. It’s something that I learned from a pokemon that I met in the Everfree Forest. He said that those that are from a different world that used to be humans are called displaced. Or something along those lines. I don’t know, I was too busy cuddling him due to him being so cute.”

“Right...anyway, let’s head over to the guild and get you signed up so you can get a bit adjusted and stuff.” Aqua said as she leads Veronica into the kingdom. As the duo made their way towards the gate of the kingdom, they were stopped by a woman with demonic features wielding a lance standing in front of them.

“Halt! State your business here for entering Dokapon Kingdom or face the wrath of the Royal Knights!” She said as she aimed her spear at the Aqua and Veronica.

“Easy Ms. Shoot first ask questions later Knight.” Aqua said as she lowered the tip of the woman’s spear with her tail. “It’s me, Aqua.”

“Oh, sorry.” She said, placing her spear to the side. “I didn’t think we would be expecting to see you here again...Who’s your friend?”

“This is Veronica.” Aqua answered, as Veronica waved awkwardly at the woman. “She’s new around here, so I figure I take her to the guild so she can become more a custom the monster kingdom.”

“So she’s another one of those monsters that are new here huh? Very well, I’ll let you both through.” The woman said as she walked over to the gate behind herself and press the intercom on it. “This is Gabriel of the 12th division unit. I have a two monsters here requesting permission to enter the kingdom. The first one is the shark girl from before, while the other is a vampire.”

“As long as they don’t cause any trouble, then it’s fine to let them in.” said a voice coming from the intercom.

“Alright.” Gabriel said as she turned her attention back at the duo. “You may enter Dokapon City, but be warned that if you cause trouble, you will be punished for it.” She said as snapped her fingers, causing the door behind herself to open. “Have a nice day ladies.”

“Stay close Veronica, it easy to get lost here, trust me.” Aqua said as she and Veronica made their way through the gate.

“Is it that big of a kingdom?”

“Well no, but it kind of like a maze. But once you find your way around you get used to it.”

“I get the feeling that we’re gonna get lost.”

“No shit captain state the obvious. What give that away? Was it because you’re trusting a stupid fish to guide you through this place.”

“You know I can not wait to figure out a way to get you out of my head once I find Trixie.”

“Well then good luck finding her in this place then.”

“What makes you say that-.” Veronica train of thought was cut short as her eye widened upon entering the Kingdom. From what she could tell the village was something that you would see in a child’s fairytale, only it didn’t have a mix with magical anthropomorphic talking ponies, magical monsters girls, and a few floating buildings, shops, and item stores. “Well...this might be a problem.”

“Like I said, good luck with finding your slave faker.”

“Come on, the guild this way.” Aqua said as she motion Veronica to follow her down the street that lead to a building with the sign “Dokapon Guild” on it. “Welcome to the Dokapon Guild. Here you’ll be learning basic history of the six kingdoms, combat training 101, magic training, etc, etc.”

“It’s kinda looks rundown. You sure someone works here?”

“Of course, this place is where everyone who’s new here go.” Aqua said as she G in the guild sign fell off and onto the ground. “Okay, maybe it’s a bit old, but Peppita still works there.”

“Peppita?”

“The owner of the guild. Come on, I’ll show. Just a fair warning, she’s a bit of a scatterbrain at times.” Aqua said as she opens the door to the guild. Upon entering the build, Veronica could tell that this place hasn’t been kept up to date in quite some time. Mostly because of the cobwebs, dust collecting on the tables, and the broken pieces of floor board on the floor.

“....You sure this place is still open?”

“It should be, Peppita doesn’t go anywhere unless she’s busy repairing the building on her own somewhere. Peppita, you in here!?” The shark girl yelled as she made her way to the front desk.

“One minute!” Peppita yelled from upstairs. “Just repairing a window up stairs-.”

*Crash*

“.....Nevermind, I’ll be downstairs.” She said making her way downstairs by flying through a gaping hole in the ceiling.

“Welcome to Dokapon Guild for beginners. How can I help you-. Oh, hi Aqua.”

“Hi Peppita, I take it the repairs to the building are not going so well?”

“I wouldn’t say that. The repairs are...pretty good.” The harpy said as the chair Veronica was about to sit on, broke into pieces. “.....well at least the floor held this time.”

“You know I could help out if you just asked.”

“It’s not that I wouldn’t mind asking you for help. The problem is getting money to buy the materials to fix this place up. Lord know since the other kingdom haven’t open their doors up for me to visit them to get the stuff needed. Not to mention even if they did open up, I don’t have the money to buy it due to not having anyone join the guild anymore.”

“Well you’re in luck, I have your new member right here!” Aqua said holding her arms out to Veronica.

“Um...Hi?” Veronica said, waving awkwardly while smiling.

“....Question, does she have money to join?” asked Peppita, as Aqua looked back at Veronica niversly.

“How pathetic, how the hell did these monster last this long without getting killed.”

“You really need to stop belittling others like that. It might come back to bite you.”

“Whatever, it’s not like it’ll happen anyway.”

“Well then seeing how you don’t think that will happen. Do you have any type of money for use to join the guild?”

“Normally I wouldn’t bother with dealing with stuff like this. But seeing how you’re pretty weak and don’t have any knowledge, I’ll indulge in this for the time being. Now hold still for a second.” The voice said as Veronica felt it take control of her body. With a snap of a finger, a two gold bars appeared on the desk in front of Peppita. “There, let’s see how this turns out.”

“Oh my god…” said Aqua as her eyes widened in surprise at the gold bars. “Why didn’t you tell me you had stuff like this!?”

“You never asked.” The countess said as she felt herself being pulled into a hug by Peppita.

“Thank you! This somewhat enough to repair the floors and windows of the Guild!”

“C-Can’t...b-breath...losing….air.”

“Oh! Sorry!” The harpy said as she quickly released her grip on the vampire.

“Oh I’m going to enjoy seeing you in so much pain.”

“Shut up.”

“Anyway, I’ll have the Dwarfs and Carpenter ponies come by later on to fix the place this place up. But for now we need to get you settled in and issue your guild uniform.” She said as she handed Aqua the gold bars. “Mind heading over to the carpenter guild and place an order for me Aqua? I have to give our newest member the roundabout of this place.”

“Okay, have fun.” Aqua said as she headed off to the carpenter guild.

“So...what happens now?” Veronica asked.

“Now, we find something that fits you.” The harpy said as she flew into the back storage room for a split second before returning with a somewhat revealing outfit. “Now what do you think about this?”

“I’m not wearing something like that! I’ll look like something of a fat man’s perverted dream!”

“For once I agree with you on that one. Not to mention I have my standards on stuff to wear, and that is one of them.”

“Okay what about, this?” Peppita asked as she pulled out a sailor suit outfit. “All the young monster girls and ponies are wearing these.”

“No! You are not wearing that!”

“Why? What’s wrong with-.”

“YOU ARE NOT WEARING THAT!”

“Alright, alright, I won’t wear it. Geez, you really need to lower the volume on your voice.” Veronica turned her attention at Peppita who shook her head no.

“Alright, how about… This!” She asked, holding out a seat of red armor that surprisingly looks like it could fit her.

“Yep, that will do.” Veronica nodded as the Harpy handed the armor to her. “This is much better than the dress I’m wearing.”

“It embarrassing, but it better than nothing. And what wrong with my dress!”

“Really? You don’t remember what happen back in the forest with those six ponies at the ruins.”

“That… Was just dumb luck nothing more…”

“Call it whatever you want. But that dress was annoying to wear at the time.” Veronica thought as she headed to a room that she can guess was a changing room. “For now, let’s just change into our guild uniform and get this started.”

“This is going to be a long adventure I’m being forced to go on with you.”

Chapter 9: Getting started with The Basics Part One

“You sure you guys have enough to patch this place up Jill?” Peppita asked as she looked down at the dwarf girl.

“Of course we do. Just because we don’t have that much materials to work with, doesn’t mean we won’t get the job done.” Jill said as she whistled for her crew to start working. “We should have the floors, window, and whatever that is broken fixed up in about a day or two. Till then, you should stay at the Hinezumi inn until then.”

“Thanks for the assistance Jill. This place really needed a patch up.”

“Seeing how no one hasn’t been in this place for the past fifty years and you been trying to keep this place up to date,it’s a good thing you called on me to fix this place.” The dwarf said as she walked passed Peppita and Veronica. “Alright boys! Let’s get to work!”

“Well while she and her crew work on the guild, we’ll get you started on a tour/tutorial on the Dokapon Kingdom and places to buy what you need.”

“Where do we start first?” Veronica asked.

“We’ll start off at the shopping district. Seeing how you’re new here, we need to go there to buy you your starters gear.”

“You think we might find Trixie and Tammy over there?”

“Maybe, but knowing Tammy they might be in a different kingdom seeing how she never did fully grasp the magic to teleport. But I’m sure they’re fine, I mean what the worse that can happen to them?”

“I guess you’re right…”

“Come on, let’s head over to the blacksmith so she can give you your weapon of choice.”

“Okay...wait what?”

(Shopping District, Weapon and armor shop)

Passing a few monsters and ponies within the kingdom of Dokapon. Veronica and Peppita made their way into the shopping district, mainly the weapon and armor shop. The countess’s eyes widen in surprise at the pieces of scrap metal and unfinished pieces of armor and weapon either scattered around the floor, or hanging on the metal hooks hanging from the ceiling.

“So this is the weapon and armory shop?”

“Yep, the best place to buy weapons, armor, accessories, and special weapons.” Peppita said as she lead Veronica inside.

“Welcome to Holly’s Weapons and Armory, how can I help you two today?” The amazoness said as she looked at the vampire and the harpy.

“I’m here to look for a weapon for my friend here.” Peppita said as she pointed a wing at Veronica. The Amazoness moved from behind the counter as she walked over to Veronica as she looked her up and down for a moment.

“Never thought I see a vampire out here in Dokapon Kingdom. I figure they would be in the Scarlet Kingdom.”

“Are there any other vampires here besides me?” Veronica asked.

“Only to visit, but other then that no. They pretty much live in the Scarlet Kingdom with the Crimson King.” Holly said as she pulled out measuring tape and started measuring Veronica height and length of her body. “Okay, got the measurements for when you stop by to get new armor later on. Now let’s see what weapon you would like to start out with.” The Amazoness said as she motion Veronica to follow her to a set of swords, staffs, lancers, daggers, hammers, bows, crossbows, axes, and katanas.

“You have a lot of weapons here ma’am.” Veronica said as she eyed them.

“Please, call me Holly.” Holly said as she displayed all of her weapons towards the countess. “Feel free to have any weapon you want. Remember that you can only pick one weapon from the my stock. Afterwards you’ll have to pay for them if you want to anymore.”

“What weapon do you think I should get?”

“The Bloodsword. It’s a well balanced sword that can absorb the life energy of your foes each time you attack them. In turn it will heal you every time you attack someone, and seeing how you’re low level to use any of the other weapons here until you get a custom to using weapons and stuff.”

“Thanks.”

“I’m only doing this because we share the same body faker. And I prefer not to die to soon before I get my body back.”

“You are just a ray of sunshine you know that?” Veronica said as she picked up the Bloodsword. “I want this one.”

“Going with the classic huh?” Holly said as the countess nodded. “Makes sense seeing how you’re new around here and all. Alright then, the sword is yours.”

[Acquired Bloodsword]

“How do I look?”

“Like an idiot getting ready to go on an adventure without thinking of the dangers it will lead him or her too.”

“I…Don’t know if that’s a compliment or not?”

“It might as well be a compliment given how you are.”

“Alright, you got your first weapon to fight with.” Peppita said as she walked next to her. “On your adventures or quest, you’ll sometimes find weapons or armor lying around in treasure chests or from slaying wild monsters out in the field. You can also enhance or upgrade your gear with certain materials you get from mining, slaying monsters, or buying them from the local material shops.”

“Are there any more shops like this?”

“In the kingdom. Holly is the only one here that supplies the kingdom’s weapon and armory.”

“All by herself?”

“Not all the times.” Holly said, interjecting herself into the conversation. “I do have some help from some of the cyclops and dwarfs in town. Though I ask for their assistance when doing commissions or running low on stock.”

“Okay, part of the basics is done. Now to move on to part two of the basics.” Peppita said as she motion Veronica to follow her outside. “Thanks, for the help Holly.”

“Don’t mention it. Come by anytime you need a weapon or armor!” Holly yelled as she waved good-bye to the harpy and vampire.

“So where do we go from here?”

“Next we’re heading to the item shop. We need to stock you up on healing potions and ailment remedies. After that, will be the accessory shop for helping you when you’re in trouble. And last we’ll introduce to you about job classes.”

“Great, learning useless stuff that we don’t need.” The voice said in a sarcastic tone. “Why are we even here to begin with? Wouldn’t it be much easier to learn this stuff by me?”

“And are you willing to teach me?”

“Hell no faker.”

“Then we’re gonna learn it from Peppita. So shut up and enjoy the lecture.”

“Well then. Hope you enjoy the fall faker.”

“What fall-?” Broken from her train of thought, Veronica soon found herself face planting the street. “Ow!”

Upon hearing Veronica yell, the harpy quickly turned around to see the vampire on the ground face first “Oh my goodness, are you okay?” she asked as she rushed over to Veronica and helped her up.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just accidentally tripped over something.” Veronica said as she looked over to see what she tripped over. From what she could tell it was a green gem with a skull symbol on it. “What’s this?” She asked as she reached for the gem and picked it up. Upon picking it up, she heard a voice spoke to her coming from it.

“I am Asphyxious. The Iron Lich. If you need my aid just take this token and call my name.”

“A lich huh?” The voice said as Veronica felt her arm move on it’s own. “We might as well have a slave to do our work for us. Asphyxious, The Iron Lich! I Shalltear Bloodfallen, your new master summon you!” It said as Veronica felt a surge of magic flow into her hand.

“What are you doing!?”

“Getting a slave to do the work for us faker. Now shut up and let me do my thing you poor excuse of a vampire.” As as the surge of magic faded, a portal open up next to her and Peppita. What came out though was something not everyone was expecting.

“I am Lich Lord Asphyxious, who may I asked intends to make me their slave?” Asphyxious asked looking around for a moment. “Hey, this place looks nice. It better than filling out paperwork back at beacon."

“Um...that would be the voice in my head that did that.” Veronica answered as she pulled herself off the ground while dusting herself off.

“I see, I know what it like to have a guest inside my head to.” Asphyxious replied holding out his metal hand to her. “My name Asphyxious, and who are you my adorable little friend?”

“I’m Veronica Bloodfallen, and the harpy behind me is my Guild Master, Peppita.” She said, pointing a thumb at the harpy who was waving awkwardly at the lich.

“You fucking faker! How many times do I have to tell not to use my last name for your own personal need’s!?”

“Oh come now Shalltear, is that anyway to treat your sister? Besides we’re both displaced, would you ladies like me to change into something more… Suitable?” Asphyxious asked.

“Wait you can hear the voice inside my head? And it has a name?” Veronica asked, a bit surprised from hearing that.

“If I had full control over my body, I would kill you for saying that mongrel.”

“She did say her name when Shalltear called me.” Asphyxious replied before his body was covered in blue fire. Revealing a man in a blue hooded coat with a dragon tail, he also had an eyepatch covering his left eye. “This better?”

“I guess.” Peppita said as she eyed Asphyxious up and down for a moment. “Care to explain why someone like you is here in Dokapon Kingdom?”

“Wait… We’re not in equestria?” Asphyxious asked looking around in confusion. “Well… This is a new one for me.” He added, rubbing the back of his head.

“Oh we’re in Equestria, just that you’re in the everfree forest where monsters, humans, and ponies live in for the past 1,500 years or so.”

“Humans live here? As in displaced?” Asphyxious asked again. “Okay let start over, Ms. Veronica and Shalltear. Do you remember buying something from someone before waking up in equestria?”

“I...don’t know if I did or not. I can’t really remember much of my past.” Asphyxious rubs his chin after hearing that.

“And I refuse to tell someone like you or anyone about anything anyway.”

“Cute, I’m going to like you two. Anyway if you did it means you’re now a displaced. You get sent to a equestria and become what you dressed up as. My guess is that you were meant to have Ms. Shalltear’s body or a copy of it. But you also have her mind inside of your own. I have never heard of something like this before.” Asphyxious explain as he start to look Veronica over. “You have two souls in one body...”

“How is that even possible?” Peppita asked. “If two souls share the same body, shouldn’t both souls be destroyed if that’s the case?”

“Magic.” Asphyxious replied simply. “There something inside of there body keeping both souls apart but at the same time linked. Whoever did this knew what they were doing. I really wish I could take you home and look more into this. But I’m sure you don’t want to go off with a stranger you just meet for the first time.”

“That and I won’t allow it.” Peppita said as she pulled Veronica in close to her. Asphyxious held his hands up in surrender.

“Do not fear, I’d never harm a lady.” He said smiling at them. “Especially three angels like yourselves.”

“But I’m a vampire.” Veronica said as she looked at Peppita who was blushing from Asphyxious’s comment. “Why is your face all red?”

“O-Oh nothing to worry about.”

“Yes, pay it no mind faker.”

“So why did you call me? Need my help with something?” Asphyxious asked as his tail moved from side to side.

“I didn’t call you, it was Shalltear that called you here.”

“Indeed, servant. You will be our informant until I say other wise.”

“Okay, I guess I’m here to help until you say other wise. My little countess.” Asphyxious replied with a smile on his face.

“Um...okay...Anyway we should head over to the item shop soon before the sun sets and we end up doing all this tomorrow.” Veronica said as she motion Peppita to lead her to the shop.

“Oh right. Sorry about that. Follow me please if you don’t mind.”

“Not at all.” Asphyxious added as he followed them.

(Item Shop)

“Dokapon’s Item shop. Know for their high quality in healing potion, ailment remedies, and sometimes hold materials in stock. It is the highly recommended shop in the kingdom for all to visit when you’re running low on items that you want to stock up on.” Peppita said as they entered into the building.

“Interesting…” Asphyxious said as he was looking at something on a shelf.

“If you’re planning on buying anything. Feel free to do so, but you’ll have to by it yourself seeing how I have enough to buy some for Veronica only.”

“It fine.” Asphyxious said as he picked up a jar of...something. Whatever it was, was still alive and moving around.

“I see you’re interested in that mana slug in the jar huh?” said a voice coming from the room behind the counter. All three customers turned their attention towards the doorway as they saw a Xiongmao walking out of the room.

“What can I do for you all today?”

“Just look mylady.” Asphyxious replied as he put the jar back.

“Hello May.” Peppita said as she walked over to the counter.

“Well if it isn’t my favorite customer. How can I help you today Peppita?”

“I’m here to buy ten potions, five antidotes, five eye drops, and two Phoenix Down feathers.” The harpy said as she hand the panda girl a bag of gold. “Will this be enough to cover it?”

“Finally got someone to join your guild huh?” May said as she looked inside the bag. “Yep, this is enough to cover it. I’ll be right back with the stuff you need.” She said as she went back into the room behind the counter.

“Good. While she’s busy getting us what we need. We can have a look around to see if there’s anything useful to look into buying later on.” Shalltear said as she called for Asphyxious. “Slave, what are you doing right now?”

“Well someone into something kinky.” Asphyxious replied thinking about something else as he looked at some bones. “I had no idea you were into that kind of thing, I don’t mind.”

“Get your mind out of the gutter you idiot and buy me something useful you mongrel.”

“You’re the one who called me a slave. Not the other way around. What do you need?” Asphyxious asked, smiling at the thought of Shalltear blushing red from what he said.

“Look for anything that might of use to me idiot.”

“You know you should be more nicer to others. Unless you want something bad happen to you?” Veronica said as she looked at the colorful potion at the display case at the counter.

“Also what may I ask is useful to you? It not like I know what you’re thinking.” Asphyxious replied

“That’s your job as a slave idiot. Now look for something useful or else.”

“Or else what?” Asphyxious asked as he looked into Veronica eyes softly. He was not looking at her in anger or to make her fear him, it was more of a look a teacher would give their student when they’re testing to see how far he will go.

“Or else I’ll...I’ll...Okay I don’t know yet. But I can tell you that it will be painful when I get control over my body.”

“You know… I could work on away for you both to have your own body's.” Asphyxious said as he started to think. “Hmmm, I’ll have to look into this.”

“Please don’t. Because something tells me that if you do, then people will mistake her as me. Not to mention that she might cause trouble for me as well.” Veronica stated.

“I see my dear, the last thing I want to do is make trouble for you both.” Asphyxious replied as he held up Veronica hand and kissed it. “You have my word I’ll do everything I can to help you both.”

“Why are you kissing my hand?”

“Idiot, he’s being a gentleman to a lady. Then again you’re not even a lady seeing how you’re a fake.”

“...Are you able to make Shalltear into a soul companion or something similar to that?” Veronica asked with a deadpanned expression on her face.

“I don’t know, but I can look into it. Ms. May, do you have a book on undead and magic to do with souls?” Asphyxious asked, as the panda girl returned with the items Peppita ordered.

“Let me guess. A friend of yours is sharing a body with someone else?”

“Wow, news travels fast.”

“Not really. It’s more like it’s pretty common for that to happen around her. That and I over heard your little conversation in the back.” May said as she tossed a gray colored tome to Asphyxious. “Chapter 4, page 20. You’ll find the spell that you need to have the second soul be like a companion to her, but it won’t have them be separated otherwise it would kill them both seeing how they’re soul linked.”

“I’ll need to read this over before I do anything.” Asphyxious said as he pulled out a bag of gems to pay for the book. “Thank you for the book.”

“No problem. Thank you for the gems.” She said as she placed the gems into the cash register and handed Peppita the items she requested. “Thank you for buy at May’s item shop. Please tell your fellow monster, human, or pony friends about us.”

“Of course.” Peppita said as she handed the bag to Veronica. “Here you sweetie. Be careful on how you use them. Once they’re all used up, you’ll have to buy them, find them, or make them yourself.”

“You can make stuff like this?”

“Yeah, but you need a certain about of skills and knowledge to make them. Which brings us to the next lesson of basics. Job Classes.”

“Alchemy.” Asphyxious added as he started to read the book.

“Normally yes, but in order to do that she’ll need to level up a bit before she can do that.” Peppita said as she looked over at Veronica. “Right now she’s pretty much a level one freelancer. So she’ll have train or join a class guild if she wants to become an alchemist.”

“Class Guild’s?”

“Class Guild’s are guilds that will allow you to master a class that you want to become. For example, say you want to be a knight. If you want to be one, you’ll need to join the knight guild in Dokapon in order to do that. Once you join said guild, they will teach you how that class works. You’ll be also get to do quest request when you join. The more quest or training you do with said class, the more you’ll learn about it. When you’ve learned enough of the classes skills, the guild master of that guild will challenge you to a fight to see if you are worthy of being a master of that class.”

“Cool.” Asphyxious said looking up from his book.

“Great, learning more useless crap from more useless monsters. This should be fun, listening to idiots all day long.” Shalltear said in a sarcastic tone. “If only I had my powers back along with my body, then I wouldn't be dealing with this crap.”

“Yeah well I wish I knew about my past, but you don’t see me complaining about it.”

“I forgot my past after going insane.” Asphyxious added still reading from the book. “This is interesting.”

“No one asked for you two cents into this conversation slave.”

“I’ll only let you call me that if you join my hoard.” Asphyxious said with a smile then laughed to himself.

“I would rather die than to join a hoard with the likes of you mongrel!”

“No need to be spiteful.” Asphyxious replied with a frown as he go back to reading. “Don’t forget I’m helping you.”

“Only because of this fake imitation of me.”

“Please hurry up. I’m starting to find her annoying now.” Veronica said.

“You can not rush this, if I make a mistake I could end up with both your souls leaving your body all together.” Asphyxious explained as he kept reading. “And then you both would die.”

“Great, as if this was bad enough.”

“Look, I know this is not idle. But I am trying to help you here, being a little nicer won’t kill you.” Asphyxious asked as he start to draw runes in the ground.

“Like I told the faker, I’m never nice.”

“I could put you in a soul cage.” Asphyxious added as he kept working. “Then I won’t have to listen to your whining like a spoiled child.”

“You do that and I’ll make you pay when I get lord Ainz Ooal Gown to kill you.”

“Who that?” Asphyxious asked with interest.

“The greatest and powerful being that can turn you into nothing but dust. When I get my body back I will have him kill you when I say it was you who did this to me.”

“Cool, I’d like to meet him one day.” Asphyxious added as he looks at his work. “And done, okay just step inside and I’ll do the rest.” He said pointing at the rune circle on the ground.

“You sure this won’t hurt me?” Veronica asked, hesitant about stepping on the rune circle on the ground

“I’m hoping it does.”

“It shouldn’t… Won’t know until we find out.” Looking back at Peppita who nodded, Veronica sighed as she stepped on the rune circle. Asphyxious raised his hands as magic runes appeared around his hands and around Veronica.

“Have you ever done this before?” Peppita asked.

“No this is my first time.” Asphyxious replied as he kept his focus. “Please do not talk to me it distracting.”

“Welp I lived a good life…” The runes glowed brighter as started to move faster. “Something feels weird.”

“Shhh…” Asphyxious said as the runes changed places with other runes. “Let me know if you two feel any pain.”

“I don’t feel anything, though the gust of wind coming from the circle is messing up my hair.”

“What about you Shalltear?” Asphyxious asked as he fed more magic into the spell. “Feel anything?”

“I feel like my skin is being ripped off from off my body! Stop this magic now or else I’ll kill you!”

“Alright calm down.” Asphyxious replied as he stopped the spell. “Better?”

“....Do that again and I’ll take control over Veronica and stab you in your sleep.”

“Cute.” Asphyxious replied with a soft smile. “Sorry if that hurt you, I’ll keep working on this and see what went wrong.”

“Idiot, don’t test my patients.” Shalltear said as Veronica felt her going. “I’m going to sleep for a while until this idiot of a slave gets the spell right.”

“Well...that was something.” Veronica said as she started to fix her hair from the wind blowing from the rune circle.

“I was sure I followed everything right.” Asphyxious said as he go over the book again. “Unless there another spell keeping you two together.”

“Not that I know of.”

“If that’s the case, then I might as well take you to the wizard guild and have one of them see if you do have some kind of spell or curse on you.” Peppita said as she motion Veronica and Asphyxious to follow her to the wizard guild. “It should be a problem seeing how they’re pretty good with stuff like that.”

“You truly are an angel.” Asphyxious replied as he and Veronica followed the harpy.

Chapter 10: Getting started with the Basics Part Two

(Wizard Guild)

“Okay, this place is cool.” Asphyxious said in awe of the Wizard Guild building. He has been staring at it for the past five minutes. “It cooler than Beacon.”

“The wizard guild is one out the three most popular guilds in Dokapon.” Pippita said as she and Veronica made their way to the entrance of the guild’s door. Asphyxious quickly followed seeing he was being left behind. “The Knights guild comes in second seeing how it’s being runned by the king’s second in command. And the third guild would have to be the Technomancer Guild what with it involving long range and military force.”

“Something tells me one of my friends would love it here. What your input Veronica?” Asphyxious asked as he looks over at her.

“Looks...pretty old and weird looking.” Veronica said as she looks over the building.

“Don’t worry, if things go wrong. I’ll just teleport us out alright?” Asphyxious said, reassuring her as he rest a hand on Veronica shoulder. “You’ll be okay.”

“Great, as if he wasn’t a dork to begin with.” Shalltear said, only for Veronica to roll her eyes at her response.

“This is the wizard’s guild. They know what they’re doing.” Peppita said as she knocks on the door. “Hey! Maria! You in there!?” There was a moment of silence upon her knocking on the door. The moment of silence was broken when the doors to the guild opened up. As the doors open up, a girl about the same height and size as Veronica wearing a green robe and holding a staff taller than her appears from out behind the door.

“You know, you don’t need to yell like that? Knocking on the door would have been okay.”

“Nice staff.” Asphyxious said, as Maria looked over at him and Veronica for a moment before looking back at the harpy.

“Mind explaining why you brought over a vampire and a lich to my guild?”

“We have a bit of a problem with one of my guild members. We were wondering if you could help us with that?” Peppita asked as the wizard sighed.

“Come on in, I’ll see what I can do for your little friend.” Maria said as she opens the door for Peppita, Veronica, and Asphyxious to enter. Upon entering the building, Veronica’s eyes widen as the inside of the guild looked like something that you would see in a mmorpg guild. The tables were set as if being prepared for a special event, multiple candles were floating around in the air, bubbles with cute adorable animals and insects in them, and a flag with the wizard guild symbol that was in the shape of a griffon on it hang on the ceiling in the center of the building.

“Okay this is way better than beacon could ever hope to be.” Asphyxious said as he was trying to take everything.

“Don’t know what this Beacon place is, but Dokapon Kingdom’s Wizard Guild is my better then your guild.” Maria said as she motions them to follow her. “Come along you three, you said you need my help with something right?”

Asphyxious nodded before turning to Veronica. “Oh right, she has two souls inside her body.” He explained as they walked. “We tried using this spell here but we had some trouble.” Asphyxious hands Maria the book and show her the page with the spell on it.

“Ah this spell. The problem with that is you need two items in order for it to work.” The wizard said as she handed the book back to Asphyxious.

“What Items were missing?” He asked reading over the book again.

“Lich gem and soul dew. The soul dew I have, but the lich gem will be hard to get around here.”

“What a Lich gem?” Asphyxious asked as he tried to find it in the book he had.

“A very rare gem that come from a lich when defeated in battles at time. It’s hard to get one, especially when they don’t come out as much.”

“So all have to do is find a lich and...defeat...one…” Peppita said as she and Veronica looked over at Asphyxious.

“Umm, Why is everyone looking at me?” Asphyxious asked looking back at everyone. “Just to let you know I have a Athanc stone, it not the same thing. Unless you want Shalltear to be blighted by me. And or turned into part dragon.”

“Won’t do us any good to beat him up. He’s not from our world after all.” Maria said as she took a seat next to a table. “Plus you won’t be able to get one with the level Veronica is at.”

“What her level have to do with anything?” Asphyxious asked after he closed the book. Maria simply snapped her fingers as a sign with the words Level One appears above Veronica.

“That’s why. Lich’s levels are up in the thirty to forty. If she were to fight one now...well I don’t want her to die to soon before exploring.”

“Why would you fight them? Can’t you just ask them for one of these gems?” Asphyxious asked getting looks from everyone. “Was it something I said?”

“If you can find the village of the dead then you can ask one of them. But you’ll have to deal with the feral ones to get the gem.”

“Okay where can I find one?” Asphyxious asked. “I mean they can’t be that hard to find right?”

“They live near the Scarlet Kingdom. Which is pretty much blocked off to outsiders that aren’t vampires.” Maria said as Asphyxious slowly turned to Veronica and smiled at her.

“No.” Veronica said looking back at the lich with a deadpanned expression.

“Well I don’t have a better plan.” Asphyxious replied crossing his arms. “It ever that or you somehow bring your level up. And I don’t know how to do that.”

“Why not go over to the Knight Guild? I hear they’re willing to help out anyone by giving them job quest.” Maria suggested as she stood up from her seat.

“What?” Asphyxious asked looking back to Maria. “What do you mean job quest?”

“Doing certain job quest will let a person gain experience. The more you do them, the more you’ll level up. And the more you level up, more you can explore around.”

“Guess we’ll head over to the Knights Guild then. Where is that anyway way?” Veronica asked as Maria levitated a map to the vampire.

“Next to the Gunner’s Guild across town. You can’t miss it seeing how there’s sign with a sword and shield on it.”

“Cool, I guess we’ll head over there then?” Asphyxious asked.

"No shit captain state the obvious.”

(Knight’s Guild)

“This places looks tacky.” Asphyxious commented as he received a smack up side his head by Peppita. “Ow! What?”

“Show some respect idiot. This is the guild that protect the Kingdom of Dokapon. Not only that, but it is lead by the King himself and his wife.”

“Sorry, I tend to say what I think.” Asphyxious replied, as he looks over at Veronica. “What do you think?”

“If it’s anything like the wizard guild, it’s going to be bigger on the inside.” Veronica said as she walked up to the door of the guild and knocked on it. There was a moment of silence before the door finally opened. Standing there in the doorway was a woman with light brown flowing hair wearing armor while holding a sword and shield opened the door.

“Can I help you three?”

Asphyxious and Veronica was at a loss for words. Veronica, due to the woman’s beauty and elegant figure. Asphyxious on the other hand was a different story as he was looking over her armor. Mostly taking note of her armor design, along with her sword and shield. “Nice..armor. who made this?” He asked quickly looking it over.

“I made it myself. Now please explain who you three are-.” The woman quickly turned her attention at Peppita as she notice that the harpy was tiptoeing away. “Well if it isn’t our favorite harpy girl.”

“Oh...hi Vanessa.” The harpy said as she turned around and gave the knight an awkward smile and waved her wing at her.

“You two friends?” Asphyxious asked looking between them.

“Sisters actually.” Vanessa said as she move from out of the doorway. “Before you say anything. Our mother is a harpy while our father is a human. So if you’re wondering why we don’t look the same, that’s why.”

“That really didn’t cross my mind. I just assumed you were displaced like me and Veronica.” Asphyxious replied blinking at them.

“No, that would be our mother that is Displaced. Though then again I’m pretty sure half of everyone in this kingdom is or have parents that are Displaced.”

“This is so cool. I have to tell everyone about this place.”

“Feel free to do that...just make sure they’re not evil. So what can I do for you three?”

“We need a Lich gem and need help to get one.”

“Lich gem huh? Sorry but that’s a level forty quest that only guild members can take when they reach that level. That and only Vampires or the King is allowed to do them”

“I don’t see what the big deal is about levels?” Asphyxious added looking a little annoyed. “I can go in and out before anyone even notices.”

“That’s what the last guy said when he tried to do that.”

“Let me guess his undead now?” Asphyxious asked as he rolled his eye.

“Nope. Death by comet.” Vanessa said as the lich had a confused look on his face. “The vampire are not so kind to those that try to enter into their kingdom ever since the war of raging kingdoms five to six hundred years ago from what I’ve read in the history books. So they pretty much made a rule that only vampire or beings of this world that are in the undead category are allowed there.”

Asphyxious smiles again as he looks to the vampire. “Road trip?” He asked.

“Okay even I know that is a horrible idea. Not to mention that you would be sent flying due to the barrier around the Crimson Kingdom.” Peppita said as she smacked Asphyxious upside his head again. “Think before you do something stupid.”

“Screw the rules I’m a lich.” Asphyxious replied.

“That would be a very unwise move.” said a masculine voice catching the attention of Veronica and the others as they looked over at the guild doorway. Standing there was white unicorn with blonde mane with a scar on his right eye, wearing a gold color armor with noble blue clothing under it. On his back was a looked like to be a huge shield with a longsword about the same length as his shield. “Unwise and stupid move that would start a war between the two kingdoms.”

“Okay… Are you a changeling pulling a prank on me?” Asphyxious asked, staring at the unicorn knight. “Because this can’t be Blueblood, he’s to… Humble...Who are you?”

“Who the hell are you?” Blueblood asked.

“I asked you first.”

“I asked you second.” The unicorn said with a smug look on his face.

“.....I like him.” Asphyxious replied with a smile on his face as he looks back to the others.

“Don’t encourage my husband smartassness.” Vanessa said as she walked over to Blueblood and kissed him on the cheek. “It’s bad enough our daughter is getting that kind of attitude from you.”

“....This is the best day ever.”.

“What’s up with him?” Blueblood asked, only to look over at Peppita with an annoyed look on her face.

“I don’t know. All I was planning on doing was showing Veronica around the kingdom until the Guild was finished being repaired.”

“So you finally found someone to join your guild huh? Who might that be?” The pony asked as the harpy simply pointed a feather at Veronica, who quickly hid behind her.

“Introducing my first member of the Dokapon Guild for beginners. Veronica Bloodfallen.” The harpy said as she moved from in front of Veronica.

“Um...h-hi.” Veronica said as a blush appeared on her face while looking at the ground.

“A vampire huh? Never actually thought I would see one in my Kingdom.” Blueblood said as he walked over to Veronica and kneeled down in front of her. “It’s nice to meet you Veronica. I am King Blueblood. Ruler of Dokapon Kingdom and Guild Master of the Knight’s Guild. So what can I do for you two and my sister in law?” Blueblood said as he pulled himself up from kneeling down in front of Veronica.

“Well you know about displaced right? Well let just say Veronica has a roommate in her head.” Asphyxious explained or tried to in the best way possible. “The spirit in question would be Shalltear Bloodfallen, and she a little crabby about not being in control.” The lich said as he notice Blueblood having a stoic expression on his face.

“I know a little about displaced from what I heard from my mother in law. Though I might be able to do something later about it. I would do something now, but being a king and a guild master can be a bit….much if you can understand?”

“I understand.”

“Now back to the matter, what is it that you need to help with your little problem here?”

“We need a lich gem. But now I’m starting to question if that’s a good idea now.”

“Lich gem huh?” Blueblood looked over at Veronica for a moment before looking back at Asphyxious. “If Veronica was at level forty then she can get it without any problems seeing how she’s a vampire and can go in and out of the Crimson Kingdom. But sadly that’s not the case.”

“What about me?”

“Unless you want to be sent flying due to the barrier around it, be my guess. Only vampires and I are allowed in their after the war.”

“I figured as much.” Peppita said with a sigh of annoyance. “Guess we’ll have to do this the old fashion way then.”

“But I hate grinding.” Asphyxious added.

“Suck it up buddy. Doing things the easy way will not make you any stronger. If anything it’ll just make you lazy.” Vanessa stated as she looked over at Peppita and Veronica. “Now seeing how we’re the only one guild that give out jobs involving monster slaying. I take it you’re here to have Veronica join the guild to get that Lich gem, correct?”

“Yeah that’s why we’re here. Along with getting a class change for Veronica.” Peppita said.

“What’s her current class?”

“Freelancer, level one”

“What am I?” Asphyxious asked as Peppita glanced at the lich for a moment.

“Necromancer, level fifty-six.”

“Huh, more than I expected.” Asphyxious replied.

“So how do I join?” Veronica asked as she notice Vanessa walking over to her as she placed a hand on her head.

“Like this.” The knight said as warm light appeared around Veronica’s body for a moment before disappearing. “There, I unlocked three of your starter classes. Which is pretty much how everyone that joins a guild start out with.”

[Knight Class, Wizard Class, and Gunner Class unlocked]

“Joining other guilds will allow you to unlock one or more classes depending. The more you join the more you’ll be able to learn from the guilds. You can also do job quest for that said guild near the guild bulletin board outside or inside of the guild. Be warn though, on certain days the job quest bulletin board will be closed due to special events or tournaments that will be held during that time.” Blueblood added. “It’ll be up to you to level each class or just focus on one then the others later.”

“So…What do we do once she picked a Class? Go into the woods and fight random monsters?” Asphyxious asked rubbing his neck as his tail moved from side to side.

“Normally yes,” Peppita said as she pointed at the sun beginning to set. “But it’s getting late, and Veronica looks like she’s going to pass out.” She said, pointing a wing at the vampire as she struggling to stay awake.

“I see, well then. We’ll let her pick her class later once we get some grub. It won’t hurt for me to stay here for a day or two. But I really should be heading back.” Asphyxious explained looking to Veronica as he went over to her. “Unless it no trouble that I stay?”

“As long as you don’t cause trouble in the kingdom, then you’re are free to stay as long as you want.” Blueblood said. “You can have her visit the guild when she wakes up. My daughter will be the one that will go with her out of the kingdom.”

“You have my word I’ll try and do my best to stay out of trouble.” Asphyxious replied before giving them a bow. “So where will I be staying?” He asked looking at Peppita.

“The Hinezumi inn. Seeing how the guild is still being worked on, we’ll be staying there until then.”

“Alright then to Hinezumi inn then.” Asphyxious said before looking over at Veronica. “Are you alright, I could carry you there if you want?” He asked, only for him to notice Veronica was already asleep while standing up. Asphyxious smiled as he carefully picking the vampire up and nodded to Peppita to lead the way.

Chapter 11: Getting started with the Basics Part Three

(Hinezumi inn)

Hinezumi Inn. Dokapon’s greatest relaxing inn for monsters, humans, and ponies to relax and enjoy. If they didn’t come for the food, they were their to enjoy the hot springs which was located outside in the center of the building. The inn is mostly used as either a place for adventurers to come in to relax for the night, or some of the monsters live there seeing how it can be a hotel as well. Peppita, opened the door to the inn as she, Veronica, and Asphyxious entered the building.

“This place looks really nice.” Asphyxious said in a low tone, not wanting to wake Veronica up who was being carried by him.

“The Hinezumi Inn is one of Dokapon’s greatest inn. They pride themselves when it comes to making a inn look good.” The harpy said as she lead them to the service desk.

“Maybe we can share a room?” Asphyxious asked smiling softly to the harpy. Only for her to smile back as she walked over to him and smacked him upside his head. Asphyxious just smiled awkwardly as he still held the vampire in his arms.

“That’s only for married couples, or those that are dating. You’ll be getting a room for yourself while we girls will share a room together.”

“Sorry, after a goddess had her way with me. I’ve had a problem controlling my urges.” Asphyxious explained with a light blush on his face. “But I am getting better at controlling myself… Hopefully.” He said, with a worried look on his face as he looked around at the inn.

“Let’s hope so.” Peppita said as she walked back over to the desk and rang the bell. As she rang the bell, a puff of fire appeared from behind the counter as a Hinezumi appeared once the flame died off.

“Welcome to the Hinezumi Inn. My name is Amber Fraland. How may I help you today-.” Amber paused as she saw Peppita standing in front of her. “Oh hi Peppita. Are you here because you burned the guild down again?”

“Are you okay?” Asphyxious asked looking at the fire coming off her wrists and legs. Before his face turned a shade of pink as he saw Amber behind the desk.

“I’m fine, why would you ask?”

“You’re… On fire?” He asked as his mind wondering how her dress did not get burned away from the flames.

“This is pretty much a hinezumi’s coat. Even though it may look like we’re on fire, this is pretty much part of who we are.”

“Oh sorry, I’m new to all this. I haven’t meet a lot of girls like you or anyone from this world before.” Asphyxious a apologized with a small bow of his head.

“It’s okay, no worries.” Amber said as she looked over at Peppita. “I take you’re here because of Peppita burning down your house or you were staying at her guild and she burned it down...again.” Asphyxious blinked at this and slowly looked to Peppita. He stared at the harpy as if to question how did she burn someone's house down and how many times? It didn’t help Peppita as she looked embarrassed about it and was trying to avoid the question.

“Um…not this time..Amber…”

“If you’re wondering what happen, this girl here accidentally burned the knight’s guild to ground ten years ago after the King got married to her sister.” Amber said as Peppita face turned bright red.

“It was an accident! How was I supposed to know you had to keep an eye on fried food while it’s cooking!”

“Okay calm down you’re going to wake up Veronica. Ms. Amber, can we get two rooms please?” Asphyxious asked.

“Two rooms? Are you two dating or something?” As soon as those words left Amber mouth, both Asphyxious and Peppita blushed bright red.

“W-We’re not dating or anything.”

Asphyxious quickly nodded his head in agreement. “R-Right, one room’s for them and the other is for me.” He explained quickly.

“Oh okay, my bad for assuming that you two were together.” Amber said as she reach under the desk and handed them their keys. “Your rooms are on the second floor. Room numbers twenty-four and twenty-five.”

“Thank you.” Asphyxious replied before using his tail to take the keys.

“Be sure to visit the gift shop and relax at our glorious hot springs.” Amber said as she bowed to the harpy and lich. “As always, enjoy your say at the Hinezumi Inn.” Asphyxious nods his head as he and Peppita went off to look for there rooms.

(Hinezumi Inn, Room twenty-four)

“Welp, looks like we’re gonna be staying here for a day or two until the guild is done being repaired.” Peppita said as she motion Asphyxious to lay Veronica on the bed next to the dresser near the closet.

“Sorry if I cased you any trouble.” Asphyxious said as he handed her the key to their room. “I’ll be next door if you need me.”

“It’s fine. Stuff like this is normal for me.”

“Well, I’ll be next door then…” Asphyxious added as he left the room.

“Well while Veronica’s a sleep, I might as well head over to the hot springs and relax a bit.” The harpy said as she walked over to the closet and grabbed a towel. “All work and no play make jack a dull boy, or in this case girl.” She said, giggling as she looked around to see if anyone heard that. “...I really need to stop talking to myself at times.”

Meanwhile, Asphyxious was looking over the room he would be staying in. For the most part it looked nice. “Better safe than sorry.” He said and casted some runes in the room to warn him if someone came in. Before going to bed to sleep.

(Morning)

As the sun started to rise over the kingdom of Dokapon, the light that it was casting shine through the window as it hit Veronica in the face. Causing the vampire to moan a bit before slowly opening her eyes. Blocking the sun’s rays with her hand, her vision began to clear as she found herself in what she could guess was the Hinezumi Inn that Peppita mentioned. Looking around the room she notice Peppita sleeping on the floor with half her body on the bed.

“What happen before I feel asleep?”

“Nothing much happen besides her moaning in her sleep and thinking she was eating something sweet.”

“That would explain why she has that pillow in her mouth...should we wake her up?”

“I wouldn’t bother with it. Now get up. We have work to do.”

“And that would be?”

“We’re going back to the knight’s guild. Today will be your first day on doing a job quest.”

“We’re doing that today? I figure we wait a bit before doing that.”

“The soon we get this over with, the sooner we can get what we need. Now get up and get yourself ready for today idiot.”

“You really need to be a little bit more nicer.”

“The day I do that will be the day I die. Now get up and get yourself dressed.” Veronica rolled her eyes as she pulled herself up from the bed and headed to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom she closed the door behind her as she she took her night clothes off, which was just a long sleeve shirt and a pair of underwear. Fully naked she headed to the shower as she turned the water on. Placing a hand into the running water to see how it felt, she walked into the shower as she began to wash herself.

While Veronica was busy taking her shower, Peppita snorted a bit before finally waking up from her food induced sleep as she found herself chewing on a pillow. The harpy quickly pulled herself up from the floor as she spat the pillow out of her mouth.

“Ugh! Gross!” She said, still trying to get the taste of pillow out of her mouth.”Note to self, don’t eat before going to bed from now on….or at least not eat too many bag of gummy worms.” Just as she was about to find something to wipe the saliva from the pillow, the door to her and Veronica’s room opened as Asphyxious walks in with nothing but a towel around his waist and over head. As he was drying his hair.

“These hot springs are just what I-.” Asphyxious said before stopping in his tracks. “-needed?”

“What the hell are you doing in our room!?”

“Your room!? This is my room!”

“No this is our room you idiot! Look at the room number outside.”

“I did, it has my number on it!”

“Look again perv.” Peppita said as she pointed to the number on the inside of the door behind him.

“Okay this was not funny.” Asphyxious said not looking happy. “Who swapped the numbers on the front of our doors!”

“I wouldn’t be surprise if it was one of the employees that did that.”

“Sorry about that, I’ll go to my room now.” Asphyxious replied as he was about to leave. Only for the door to the bathroom to open as Veronica walked out wearing a towel covering her body.

“Ah! Nothing like a shower to make a girl feel fresh and…..new?” Veronica said as she notice Asphyxious in their room. “Um….hi?”

“Umm, I was just leaving....” Asphyxious replied before turning around and going to his room.

“....What was that all about?”

“How the hell should I know? What am I? Your guide to almost everything?”

“You kinda are in most cases.” Veronica said as a grin appeared on her face.

“....Fuck you, you smug little brat.”

“Love you too Shalltear.”

(Knight’s Guild)

“Ah, you have returned.” Blueblood said as he took a seat at a nearby table. “I didn’t expect for you to return here quite sooner than expected. Had I know that I might have wore my armor for this. But I digress, I take you’re here to begin your training right?”

“I’m just here to give Veronica a hand.” Asphyxious replied.

“You okay? You seems like you look tired?”

“Let’s just say I was the target of a number of pranks before we left the inn.” He replied rubbing his face.

“Ah, the room warp prank. They tend to do that to anyone at the inn from time to time. I remember the first time that happen to me.” Blueblood said as Asphyxious looked at him with a deadpanned expression. “What? That how I meet my wife.”

“Lucky you…I’m going to take a nap.” Asphyxious said before leaving the Vampire and Harpy with Blueblood.

“Anyway, let’s get back to business then.” Blueblood said as he turned his attention at Veronica and Peppita. “For your friend Veronica, she’ll be going out into the field with my daughter.”

“How is she doing by the way? I haven’t seen her since you had her go on a quest to gather some materials in the mountains.”

“She’s doing fine, still the same as usual.”

“By usual you mean she’s still bites folk for making fun of her size?”

“....Well...it’s better than how she was be for-.” Before Blueblood could continue, Asphyxious was soon sent flying from outside of the front door of the building back inside as he had a black eye and bite marks on his arms and legs.

“All I said was, what was a little girl doing here?” Asphyxious said as they looked over to where Asphyxious came from. Looking over they notice a girl wielding a huge sword standing there with an angry expression on her face.

“HOW DARE YOU CALL ME LITTLE YOU SCRUBLORD! I’M GOING TO RING YOUR NECK FOR SAYING THAT!!!”

“....Not a dull day in this place huh?” Peppita said as she helped Asphyxious up from the floor. “Hi Charlotte.”

“Oh, Aunt Peppita. I didn’t know you were visiting here.” Charlotte said as her expression quickly change from anger to calm. “Would you mind moving out of the way please. I need to take care of that guy over there for calling me little.”

“Why the biting? It always the biting.” Asphyxious said sounding kind of out of it.

“This wouldn’t be the first time something like this happen. Though I’m a bit surprise that you’re still standing.” Blueblood said as he walked over to Charlotte. “Sweetie, what did I tell you about attack people for calling you short?”

“Always do it when mom is not around.”

“Well that and what else?”

“Give them three strikes then attack them.” Charlotte said as Blueblood patted her on the head.

“Veronica, get your class or whatever before this child kills me.” Asphyxious said as he hid behind her as a shield as Charlotte glared at him.

“She’s not going to kill you...she’ll possibly keep biting you until she get tired of it.” Blueblood said as he picked Charlotte up and place her onto his shoulder. “Anyway Charlotte, it’s time for you to introduce yourself to Veronica.”

“Who?”

“The vampire that the guy you beat up is hiding behind.”

“Ah okay.” Charlotte said as she jumped off of her father’s shoulder and walked over to Veronica. “My name is Charlotte Blueblood. Princess of Dokapon. And daughter of Blueblood. It’s a pleasure to meet you Veronica.”

“Pleasure to met you too Charlotte.” Veronica said as she looked over at Peppita. “So she’s going to train me?”

“In a way yes, but it’s more like she’s going to introduce you to how to fight and do job quest.”

“Yep, I’m pretty much the girl who new folks come to when it come to introducing them to adventuring. If you want to partake in exploring for the first time, you come to me.” Charlotte said as she looked over at Asphyxious. “OI! Pansy! Get your ass in line!”

“I am not going to enjoy this, at all.” Asphyxious complained as the little knight walked over to him, and flicked him on the forehead.

“Quit your complaining wimp. Seeing how you want to call me short and all, you’re gonna come with us to carry any loot that we might get. Now get up and follow us scrublord.” Charlotte said as she turned around then motion Veronica and Asphyxious to follow her.

[The Forest of Beginnings]

“Welcome to the forest of beginning.” Charlotte said as the trio made it to the forest.

“I’m glad I picked my lich form for this.” Asphyxious said calmly as he followed behind the two girls.

“Yeah because that’s going to help a pansy like you.” Charlotte said sarcastically.

“Whatever…”

“A little brief history about the forest. This forest was actually the place is the origin of where the six kings came from. Minus my father of course, this takes place years ago. All six kings appeared here from another world. Being displaced and all they first formed a home here by making a small little home for the six of them. As time went on more and more displaced like my great grandmother ended up here, the small home soon became a small village, then town, then city, and soon a kingdom. In a way to make sure that we can have a way for everyone to have a home to live in, the six kings soon got the idea of making six kingdoms for them. And just like before the process continued on during the years.”

“So there’s more displaced like myself and Asphyxious?” Veronica asked.

“Yep, that’s pretty much the gest of it.” Charlotte said as she turned around to look at the two displaced, only to notice Asphyxious not beside the countess. “Where did your friend go?”

“He kinda left during your little history talk about the forest of beginning.”

“.......I’m going to enjoy hurting him for that.”

“It could be because you beat the living daylights out of him that he walked off.”

“Oh for the love of pete. Seriously? Great, come on vampire. We have a lich to look for. During this time, I’ll be telling you what you need to be careful of around here.”

Asphyxious used his staff to cut his way passed a log that was in his way. He didn’t even know what they were looking for. So for now Asphyxious was just going to study the forest and the wildlife that lived within it. Asphyxious had Abby and Banjo guard his flanks as he was looking at a small insect. The Pistol Wraiths looked around, and would draw their weapons at a sound. Only to find a small animal that was no threat.

“This place is so strange.” said Banjo as he holster one of his pistols into his coat. ”How long we staying out here boss?”

“As long as we need to.” Asphyxious replied before looking at the strange cat head… Thing. “It seeing weird things like this that make me question my sanity.”

“So do I shoot it?” Asked the ghost adjusting his hat.

“Only if it attacks.” Asphyxious replied going back to what he was doing. The lich stopped what he was doing when he saw a shadow. Only for it to disappear. “Keep an eye out, we may not be alone out here.”

“Ummm Asphyxious?.” Banjo asked, just as soon as the lich turned around he was met with something large.

“What the hell? Is that a giant tortoise?” Asphyxious asked looking up at the large riptial. Only for it large mouth to open and tried to bites down on where Asphyxious was, only for him to appear behind it by teleporting away. “Oh hell no…”

“Well what do I do with you? You're too big to kill and try and bring back. What do I do?” Asphyxious asked rubbing his chin. The large tortoise didn’t find him right away as it was looking around. “Maybe I’m going about this all wrong, I don’t need to kill it just drive it off.”

“Who are you talking to sir?” Banjo asked as the lich looked back at the ghost.

“Sorry, I like to think out loud.” Asphyxious replied thinking about what spell to use on the large beast. Asphyxious took careful aim and used hellfire right under the large tortoise belly. Making it roar as it moves to get away from the heat of the flames. The Lich nodded his head at a job well done, only for his eyes to widen to see a wave of water slice through the monster cutting it in two.

“And that is how you use a skill in battle.” Charlotte said, as she and Veronica walked from behind a tree.

“What a waist…” Asphyxious said moving over to the fallen beast. “It had so much to live for.”

“About time we found you. I figure you might gotten lost around here.”

“I’m fine…” Asphyxious replied before examining the dead monster. The two ghost returned to their soul cage that was hanging from a chain around Asphyxious waist. “Did you find what you was looking for?”

“Nope, not yet. Still teaching her about the basics and stuff. So far she knows how to use skills after showing her what I mean when I killed that monster.” Asphyxious did not reply this time as he looked up at the monster head. He reached up and closed it eye before going to the other eye and closing it as well. “Why did you do that for?”

“I value life, for I was denied death.” Asphyxious replied softly as he started to move away. “We should be going, it body will attract others to feed from it.”

“I wouldn’t worry about that.” Charlotte said as she pointed to the dead monster transforming into a baby turtle and walked off. “See.”

“Huh, never seen that before?” Asphyxious added as he watched it leave.

“Well if you stayed during my brief history of this forest then you would know that the monsters here don’t die. They just turn back into their baby state to start life anew until they die again.”

“I see.”

“Maybe next time you wait before walking off dumbass.” Charlotte said as she notice Asphyxious deep in thought. “Hey! Are you listening to me!?”

“S-sorry, lead on ma’am.” He replied before giving her a bow.

“No need.” She said as she moves over to a bush and motion them to look through it. “This is what she’ll be fighting.”

“It looks...interesting?” Asphyxious asked looking at Veronica, then back to the slimes.

“This is what I’m suppose to be fighting?”

“We been having some problems with the slime king. Mostly because he keeps trying to take over Dokapon. We don’t see him as a threat, but he can be annoying to the guards standing outside at night. Fighting him shouldn’t be a problem seeing how he’s a level one boss. But if he does prove to be a problem, then I’ll just heal you.”

“I’ll offer support when needed.” Asphyxious added. “I have some buff and debuff spells that will help. I’ll use them once you’re ready to fight.”

“Okay.” Veronica said as she unsheathed her blood sword and walked over to face the slime king.

“Who dares enter the domain of the Slime King?” The monster said as he focus his attention at Veronica making her way towards him.

“Um, hi. I’m Veronica.”

“A vampire huh? So Dokapon sends their greatest champion to defeat me?” The Slime King said as he orders his minion to surround her. “Well then Champion of Dokapon. Prepare to be defeated by the Slime King!”

[Activating Combat Mode]

“....You have got to be kidding me?” Shalltear said with a bit of an annoyed tone in her voice.

“Well it’s not like we have a choice in the matter. I mean we don’t have to kill them. Just knock some sense into them.” The countess said as she notice one of the slime monsters trying to tackle her. Only for it to bounce off her, causing no damage to her.

“....If it wasn’t for the fact that they’re level one monsters, I would’ve killed these fools by now.”

“Yeah well too bad.” Gripping her sword, Veronica lashed out at the slime monster as she sent it flying back towards the Slime King. “It’s weird, but I find these guys funny.”

“How have you not been killed yet?”

“Luck I guess.” Veronica answered as she dodge another slime monster trying to attack and counters with her sword. Sending the slime flying back.

“Go my minions! Fight for your king and all the free food we will get!” yelled The Slime King as three more of his minions appeared in front of him. Only they had a sword, an axe, and a spear. This was when the Lich acted.

“Hellbound.” Asphyxious said as a runes appeared around him and the ground glowed under everyone's feet. The slimes looked like they had a harder time moving around. “Hellbound, I can not be targeted by enemy charges. While within 30 feet of me, Enemy's treat open ground as rough terrain.”

“You do know it’ll effect the minions but not the boss right?” Charlotte asked.

“Not true for my spells.” Asphyxious replied.

“Oh really? Then take a look at their king.” Charlotte said as she pointed her sword towards the King as he was pretty much tackling Veronica. Though it doesn’t do much seeing how the King was pretty much….well...weak.

“Odd, the only way this spell would not work on him is if he had pathfinder.” Asphyxious muses rubbing his chin.

“It could be that...or it could be the limiter that was placed on Displaced beings from off worlds.”

“Hellbound is an upkeep spell, it not that powerful.”

“Be it upkeep or not. You’re not from this world. Meaning that the limiter affect those who are not of this world. My father along with the other Kings placed this law about 2 to 3 years ago.”

“Whatever, I know my magic and what it can and cannot do. Oh look she’s fighting.” Asphyxious pointed out as Charlotte turned her attention back at Veronica who fired a ball of dark energy at The slime king. The attack caused the king to explode as he was reduce to a small miniature version of himself when the flames died out.

“Huh, guess we didn’t need my next two spells I had lined up.”

“Like I said. The Slime King is weak seeing how he’s level one and all.”

“....Um...is this going to happen every time?” Veronica asked as she notice Charlotte and Asphyxious walking over to her.

“So, how does it feel to beat up a slime?” Asphyxious asked.

“Eh….kinda weird...especially when they can’t really fight back as well.”

“This isn’t the end fools.” The Slime King said as he slowly started to retreat along with his minions. “Soon I will take over Dokapon Kingdom, and I The Slime King will rule you all!!!” With a hearty but adorable and cute laugh, The Slime King along with his minions ran off into the forest.

“.....This is going to be a normal thing huh?”

“You’ll get use to it after awhile.” Charlotte said as she patted Veronica on the back. “Not bad on taking care of The Slime King Veronica. With a little practice, you’ll be getting the hang of things around here.”

“Well if I am no longer needed, would it be alright for me to go back now? Or would you need my help with something later?” Asphyxious asked.

“I’m think we’re fine for now. Thanks for the help Asphyxious.” Veronica said as she walked over to the lich, jumped up, and kissed him on his left part of his face. Asphyxious turned back into his human form and just stands there with his eyes widen from what she just did.

“U-umm, no problem. It was my pleasure.” Asphyxious replied and bows to her. “If you ever need me you have my token.”

“Oh right, I should hand you one as well.” Veronica said as she hand Asphyxious a bat plushie from out of her bag. “Here you go.”

“Thank you, my lady.” Asphyxious replied taking the plushie. “I do hope we meet again.”

“Feel free to visit whenever.” Charlotte said as she showed off her own teeth at the lich. “Just makes sure you don’t call me short next time.”

“I won’t.” Asphyxious replied before looking at Veronica. “Know what to say?”

“Yep.” The vampire nodded as she pulled out Asphyxious’s token. “Our contract is over, you may return home now.” A portal opened behind him as he gave one last bow before leaving through the portal.

“Well that was interesting.”

“Much as I would love to stay here and chat, but I think we should leave before we lose track of time.” Charlotte said as she motion Veronica to follow after her. “Come on, let’s head back home.”

“Right.”

Chapter 12: New Guild

(Knight’s Guild, Morning)

“So what’s it like being a princess of this kingdom?” Veronica asked as Charlotte walked over to her with a plate of eggs, bacon, and jelly covered toast.

“Not so bad. I can get a lot of free stuff around here from time to. But it’s mostly candy that I get for free here.”

“Sounds like a sweet deal.”

“Would be if I didn’t have to worry about getting a cavity or two.”

“Charlotte, you know you can’t survive off of sweets for the rest of your life.” Blueblood said as he enter the room wearing a blue shirt and black pants.

“A girl can dream can’t she?”

“And dream you shall until you’re old enough to be on your own or until you’re ruler of this kingdom.” Blueblood said as he patted Charlotte on the head before sitting down next to her. “So how are you holding up Veronica?”

“Everything is a bit weird, but I’m starting to get use to being here a bit.”

“Well that’s good to hear. If you need any help with anything, just come by here and I’ll assist you in whatever it is that you need....well within my powers of course.”

“I’ll be sure to ask for your help when I need it. Thanks for offering to help me Blueblood.”

“It’s my job to help out citizens of Dokapon Kingdom. I am the king of this place after all.”

“Yeah...a king who has the tendency of getting drunk during the holidays and special events.” Charlotte comment.

“Still not gonna let me live that one down huh?”

“Will you let me eat all the candy I want?”

“Have pigs learned how to fly?”

“No….”

“Then the answer is no.” Blueblood said as Charlotte pouted in defeat. “When you’re old enough, you can eat as much candy as you want. But for now you’ll just have to enjoy eating the food that we give you to keep you healthy.”

“Whatever…” The girl said as she looks away and takes a bite out of her piece of bacon.

“Cheer up kid, at least when you grow up you can live on your own.” Just the the unicorn was about to pat Charlotte on the head, Peppita quickly entered the room causing a gust of cold wind to send a chill down their necks...well all but Veronica. “Nice to see you’re up Peppita. What’s up?”

“Well I was up a few hours ago before any of you guys woke up. But on my trip around town, Jill happen to come across me to inform me that our guild is finally done...well repaired, but not upgraded.”

“Well that’s good to hear. Guess you two will be heading back to your guild then huh?” Blueblood asked as she and Veronica nodded. “Well as I say to Peppita, I’ll also say this to you. If you ever need a place to stay, feel free to come by here if you need a place to stay. You know, just in case Peppita accidentally burns her guild down again.”

“I’m right here you know!?” Peppita said as she had a pouty expression on her face.

“Doesn’t make it less true, or did you forget what happen at Dokapon Kingdom’s cook off?”

“How was I supposed to know that you can mix water and oil together?”

“Everyone, everyone knew that.” Blueblood said as it caused Peppita’s face to blush red in embarrassment.

“Whatever, come along Veronica. It’s time to have a look at our new home.” The harpy said as she started to fly off towards the exit of the Knight Guild. Veronica finish eater at least most of her breakfast before running off after the harpy.

“Thanks again for the meal, and thanks again for the lesson the yesterday Charlotte!” Veronica said as she waved good-bye to both her and Blueblood.

“Seeya Veronica! Drop by anytime you want if you want a sparring buddy, or just to chat!”

(Dokapon Guild)

“Um….Jill?”

“Yeah chicken legs?” Jill said as she looked over at Peppita with grin of confident on her face. Peppita on the other hand had a dumbfounded expression as she looked down the the dwarf.

“When you said that you were going to fix the place, I didn’t think it would be something like this!?”

“I know, hence the reason why I didn’t tell you about it.”

“But...we didn’t have the money to even upgrade this place seeing how we only have enough to patch it up.”

“You can thank King Blueblood for that. While you guys were busy with whatever it is that you were doing, the king came by and paid us extra for upgrading your brand spanking new home/guild.” Jill said as she smiled innocently.

“.....Why do I get the odd feeling that this might be something of a way for me to owe him on?”

“I don’t know about you, but I would take it and don’t question it.” The dwarf said as she notice Veronica going inside. “Plus I think your student or students if you get anymore would love it.”

“Well she’s not lying about that.” Veronica said as she popped her head out of the window. “I mean look at this place? It looks and smells new.” Peppita was a bit hesitant at first in going inside. But with a pat to her leg by Jill, she began to make her way inside to their new home. Upon entering the building, the harpy’s eyes widen upon seeing the inside. The room was patched up, the floors didn’t have holes or loose floor boards sticking out of the floor or missing, no dust collecting over the tables, walls, floors, or windows, and the colors of the room was bright and lively then dark, old, and depressing.

“Okay….I have to admit. You really outdone yourself with this Jill.”

“Ha! You know I’m the best carpenter in all of Dokapon. I like to see anyone else in town beat me at my own work.” Jill said as she walked passed the harpy and hopped on the front desk. “Now then, here are the things that you should know about your new home. You new guild will have classroom to the left side of the building so you can teach any monsters, humans, or ponies that was to join. Upstairs are the rooms for just you two seeing how I only had enough money to make it that way so feel free to claim whichever or just share a room. The backyard I made into a training field if you want to train at home if you’re not interested in going to the gym. Downstairs you have a indoor pool, a mini lounge, a small game room for if you want to play games in there, and sana room for relaxing as well. And last but not least is the kitchen which you can walk into behind the front desk through this door.” Jill said as she pointed behind herself.

“Wow, you really went all out on this place huh?” Veronica asked as she floated around the building while exploring.

“I take pride in my work kid. Okay, now that I told you about the changes is there anything you want to know about?” Jill asked as Veronica and Peppita shook their heads

“Not that I can think of at the top of my head.”

“Nope, this place is amazing! Thanks Jill.”

“Alrighty then,” Jill said as she hops off the desk and started making her way towards the door way. “Feel free to stop by my work place when you want to upgrade this place again.”

“We’ll do, thanks again for fixing and upgrading this place Jill.”

“Don’t mention it. We are friends after all.” The dwarf girl said as she waved good-bye to the harpy and vampire.

“I’m gonna have a look around before heading into town.” Peppita said as she heads downstair. “What are you going to do?”

“Possibly to on a few quests and stuff. I want to be a bit stronger before going on main quest to the crimson kingdom.” Veronica said as Peppita gave her a smile.

“Well be sure to drop by before you do go on your main quest. Till then have fun and be safe on whatever you do around town and stuff.” Peppita said as she walk off downstairs.

“Nice to finally see that you’re taking this serious.” Shalltear mentally said as Veronica rolls her eyes and begins to head out.

“I have been taking this seriously. Maybe you should stop being rude towards me and pay more attention to what I’ve been doing.”

“Only because you’re still a faker and don’t know that much about this place...but seeing how I’m stuck with you until we can get the lich gem, I’ll try to be...less mean towards you.”

“Thank you, isn’t being nice good?”

“Don’t push your luck kid. Just go the Knight’s guild and get started on leveling yourself up with a quest or two.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know what to do. That’s what I’ve been planning on doing after breakfast...speaking of that. I need to head into town to get something to eat seeing how I had to rush breakfast.”

“Alright, fine. Get something to eat and then go to the knight’s guild to start your quest leveling and stuff.”

Sorry for the long wait for this story to be updated. Work and dealing with getting ready to go back to college had to be taken care of before anything else. But I should have some time to spare to work on my stories. Anyway here's a chapter for yeah.

Chapter 13: Welcome to the Underground

“Ah! Nothing like having eggs, bacon, toast, and apple juice to start off the day.” Veronica said as she exited out of the new guild hall.

“Took you long enough. Now can we please get to the guild to start getting stronger?” Shalltear asked as the young girl rolled her eyes.

“In a minute, right now we need to look around to find Aqua.”

“Why do we need her? We can do stuff on our own.”

“Well she does know a lot about this stuff then we, so why not have a guide to help us in case things go bad?”

“Why am I stuck with a person like you, I will never know.”

“I thought you said you would be a little nice to me?”

“It’s a work in progress. Something that you currently are. And I would suggest you stop talking out loud.”

“And why is that?”

“Because the monsters here will think you’re crazy….like right now.” She said as Veronica looked up to see some of the citizens that pass by her look at her oddly.

“Oh….right…” Veronica blushed as she quickly scooted off in the general direction of town.

“Not the brightest of vampires are you?”

“Shut up and just keep an eye out for Aqua or at least Trixie.”

“You sure you want me to do that?”

“”Yes…..wait….what’s with that kind of question?”

“Oh nothing~”

“You’re up to something aren’t you? You better not try to do anything that might get us hurt.”

“Relax, I’m not planning on doing that. But that hole you’re about to walk into begs to differ.”

“What hole-” Before Veronica could finish her question, she soon felt the ground slip from her feet as she falls down the hole that Shalltear mentioned.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie is annoyed.” Trixie said as she stands in the middle of a patch of flowers. “To think that I Trixie would be stuck in the middle of this dark place. Though at least she landed on a patch of flowers. When Trixie finds that fox creature, she will have her revenge for leaving Trixie here…..now where in Equestria is the darn exit?” Before Trixie could begin her search for a way out of the cave she was in…again, her ear twitches upon hearing something coming from above. Looking up her eyes widen upon seeing a familiar looking vampire knight falling from the sky and lands on top of her.

“Ow…God that hurt.” Veronica said as she slowly begins to pull herself up a bit. “Some help you were Shalltear! Why didn’t you say anything earlier about the hole!?”

“You told me to keep an eye out for Trixie. You didn’t say anything about the hole that you fell into.”

“......I’m starting to think that you’re not going to try to be nice to me are you?”

“Like I said, it’s a work in progress. Also you might want to look down now.” Shalltear suggested as the vampire looked down to see that she was on top of Trixie.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie is in so much pain that she couldn’t believe that she can feel this much pain.” The mare said in a daze as she looks up to see who fell on her.

“Hi Trixie….” Veronica said as she soon felt Trixie pull her in for a hug.

“Veronica! Thanks Celestia you are okay! Trixie thought she lost you after that stupid fox teleported us out of the Everfree Forest with her magic.”

“N-Nice to…see you too…C-Can’t…B-Breath!” Veronica said as Trixie quickly let go of the small vampire as she gasp for air.

“Sorry, Trixie did not mean to do that.”

“I-It’s fine. Just...try not to do that again.” Veronica said as she soon looked around the room they were in. “Where are we and why are we in a room full of flowers?”

“Trixie has no idea where we are. She had been stuck here for the past few hours or so.”

“Could you have teleported out of here or something?” Veronica asked as a dumbfound expression appeared on Trixie’s face. “Wait…you didn’t try to teleport out of here?”

“For a pony who named herself the great and powerful Trixie, she isn’t the brightest of ponies I have ever met...then again you fit that category as well.”

“O-Of course I know that I could teleport out of here....but Trixie doesn’t have the magic to do that…yes...she is…completely drained of magic after what happened in the Forest.” The mare lied, trying to make it as if she knew this. So far both Veronica and Shalltear deadpanned at the blue unicorn.

“Uh huh...anyway…is there any other way out of here?”

“Sadly no. Trixie has been trying to look for a way out. But so far she can not find a way out of here. So that mean we’re stuck here…forever.” Trixie said as she flops back onto the flowers in defeat. “The Great and Powerful Trixie is too amazing and pretty to die in a place like this!”

“I’m pretty sure you don’t fit the bill of amazing and pretty. That solely goes to me...well the pretty part at least.”

“Hey, let’s not give up just yet. I mean I’m sure there has to be a way out of here. We just have to look a bit harder.”

“Or you could just look right in front of you?” said an unknown voice as it caused the mare and vampire to look around to find where it came from.

“You heard that?”

“Trixie indeed heard that. But she can’t see where it came from.”

“Down here friend.” The mysterious country voice said as the duo looked down to see a flower with a cartoonish face on it.

“......Is that a talking flower?”

“Trixie believe so…though she might be imagining things.”

“Naw friend you’re not imagining it. I’m your best friend Flowey the flower.” The flower said as he smiles at them both. “Looks like you two are in a bit of a pickle huh?”

“We kinda are.” Veronica said as she kneels down at the flower. “We’re kinda stuck here in this mysterious place and we can’t find a way out of here. You wouldn’t happen to know of a way out of here do you?”

“As a matter of fact, I do.” Flowey said as he backed away from the two. “All you have to do is walk into my white little seeds and you’ll be teleported out of here in no time.” He said as two white seeds appear in front of them.

“Seriously? That’s it?” Veronica asked as Flowey nodded. “Well that was easy.”

“You can’t be this fucking stupid can you?” Shalltear asked as Veronica paused a few inches from reaching for the white seed floating in front of her and Trixie.

“What do you mean?”

“You just met this talking flower for less then a second and you’re going to believe him when he said he can get you out of here? You can’t smell that this is a trap?”

“Don’t think it’s a trap Shalltear. He looks like a nice guy that we can trust, more so then I can say for you after you let me fall into that hole earlier.”

“Trixie will have to agree with Veronica…even though she can’t hear the conversation you’re having between the two.” Trixie said as she looks back at Flowey. “This isn’t a trap is it.”

“Of course not. You can trust me, your best friend Flowey.” Flowey said as he gives them an innocent smile.

“......You know what, fine. Go ahead and touch it. If anyone needs me, I’ll be watching from the sidelines with a big tall cup of I told you so and drink as I watch this scene play out.” Shalltear said as she disappeared for the time being.

“We really need to do something about that problem you’re having.” Trixie said as she turned her attention back at the seed. “Trixie is grateful that you’re willing to help us Flowey. We’ll be sure to pay you back for this act of kindness.”

“Oh, I believe you have already.” Flowey said as Veronica touched the white floating seed in front of her. Just as the vampire touched it, she soon felt a sharp pain shoot through her chest. Looking down she saw a small ball size hole in her armor as blood began to drip from the hole in her armor a bit. Trixie looked over at the vampire in shock as she moved out of the way of the seed that almost hit her.

“I told you this was a trap. Now look what you did to us.” Shalltear said as she felt Veronica fall to the ground. “Be lucky that the guild armor was able to reduce most of the damage. But that attack inflicted bleed and shock status on you.”

“What the hay was that for!?” Trixie yelled as she rushes over to Veronica. “Veronica, you okay?”

“C-Can’t...move…” Veronica answered as she struggles to move her body.

“You idiots! Did you really think that I would help you two out of this place. I can’t believe you were stupid enough to fall for something like this.” Flowey said as a demonic expression appears on his face. “In this world you two were foolish enough to find yourselves in. It’s a kill, kill be killed world.”

“....Trixie is sorry, but...what?”

“It’s a kill, kill be killed world!” Flowey said as more white seeds appeared around him.

“....Y-You need to learn how to make a proper sentence Flowey.” Veronica said as she moved her head up a bit to look at the flower.

“Kill or kill, kill or kill be. Why can’t I say that right?” Flowery said as his face quickly became less demonic.

“Don’t you mean kill or be killed world?” Trixie said with a deadpan expression on her face.

“Kill or be killed world!” Flowey said as he aimed the seeds at them both. “Prepare to die fools!”

“This is not how The Great and Powerful Trixie wants her life to end!” Trixie said as she tried to cover herself over Veronica. Just as the seeds were about to hit them, a wall of fire appeared around them both as the seeds turn to ashes.

“What the?”

“Stand back vile creature! Hadouken!” Before the flower could do anything else, he was quickly hit by a fireball from the side causing him to be sent flying off into the darkness. Trixie looked over to her left to see what appears to be a very tall female goat monster wearing a purplish robe. The goat monster looked over at Trixie and Veronica as she notice the vampire on the ground bleeding.

“Oh my goodness! Are you two okay?” She asked as she quickly rushes over to the mare and vampire.

“We were attacked by that evil flower.” Trixie answered as she looked over at Veronica. “One of its seed hit my...um...daughter and I don’t know what to do!”

“Daughter!?” Both Veronica and Shalltear said mentally in surprise to this.

“Oh you poor dear.” The goat monster said as she quickly lift the bleeding vampire into her arms. “Come with me. I’ll take you both someplace safe so you won’t get hurt.”

“Trixie thanks you…um…..”

“My name is Toriel. Now come, we better go before that flower comes back again.” Toriel said as she motion for the mare to follow her through the ruins they were in.

Chapter 14: Toriel, Guardian of the Ruins

(Dreamworld)

“So...what have we learned~?” Shalltear asked with a singsong tune in her voice.

“Not to be that trusting towards random strangers at times?” Veronica answered as she deadpans at her counterpart.

“At all times you idiot! Honestly you would be hopeless if I wasn’t the voice of reason.”

“Hey I take offense to that. I've gotten us this far haven’t I?”

“Only with my help and your dumb luck. If I wasn’t here to help you, you would be dead in a matter of minutes.”

“Now that’s just being mean.” Veronica said as she crosses her arms in annoyance. “I mean I would last at least a few days or more depending.”

“.....W-Were you dropped on your head when you were born?”

“I don’t know. I have no memories of my past and you’re not willing to tell me about it for some reason.”

“Some things are better left forgotten, especially in your case.”

“What do you mean by that?” Veronica unfolded her arms as she raised an eyebrow.

“I could tell you….but I think you’ll be a bit busy dealing with what’s going to happen to you now that you’re in the underground.”

“Wait a minute, you can’t just-.”

(Underground Ruins, Toriel’s home)

Before Veronica could get her answers from her counterpart, she soon felt herself slowly waking up. Upon waking up, she soon found herself in what appears to be a small bed that was build for a child her age. Looking around she noticed the room she was in looked like it was made for a child. Mostly due to some of the toys laying around on the floor along with some posters of characters that looked like they were from a show she has never heard of.

“It would seem that we’re in Toriel’s home.” Shalltear said as Veronica slowly begins to pull herself up from the bed she was in.

“Why do I feel like I just gained a few pounds?”

“Well you were knocked out for about a day after getting hit by that stupid plant’s attack. Geez you really are hopeless if you let something like this weaken you.” Veronica simply rolls her eyes as she tries to pull herself out of bed. Only to fall face first onto the floor with a thud.

“.....This is going to take a while for my body to recover huh?”

“Technically you are fully recovered, just that you need to get the blood pumping in your body so you don’t feel so damn heavy.” Before Veronica could come up with a response to Shalltear statement, the door to the room she was in opened. Looking up she saw Trixie enter into the room with a tray full of food.

“Trixie sees that you’re awake.” The unicorn said as she walked over to the dresser to place the tray down and walked over to Veronica and helped her up.

“I feel as heavy as a rock.” Veronica said as she felt Trixie pull her up and place her onto the bed.

“Well you have been asleep for about a day or so. Guess the medicine that Toriel gave you actually worked.”

“Medicine?”

“You were bleeding even after she removed that thing inside your chest. She gave you some kind of medicine to stop the bleeding. As a result you’re alive thanks to her.”

“Well that’s good to hear....which brings me to my first question.” Veronica said as she raised an eyebrow at the unicorn. “Mind telling me why you said I was your daughter?”

“Oh, um….well…..It was kinda a moment of tactic...Trixie thought she wouldn’t get the help from Toriel if you weren’t related to me...which turns out that wasn’t the case seeing how she would have helped us either way you look at it.” Trixie said with a blush on her face.

“....For an adult, you’re not very bright.”

“Hey! Trixie’s gotten us this far right?”

“True...but you’re still not the brightest adult.” Veronica stated as Trixie puffed her cheeks in annoyance as she smack the vampire upside her head. “Ow! What was that for!?”

“For being a smart alec to the Great and Powerful Trixie….that and for talking back to somepony older than you. Now on to a different subject. Are you feeling okay after what happen? I mean besides feeling heavy?”

Veronica simply moves her arms and legs around a bit to see if anything was wrong with her. So far besides feeling the heaviness from being asleep for about a day or so, she was feeling fine. Though a bit sluggish on her movements.

“So far I feel fine. Nothing is out of place or anything so that’s good….though I am a bit hungry.”

“Then it’s a good thing The Great and Powerful Trixie was able to get Toriel to make us something to eat. You’re welcome by the way.” Trixie said as she notice Veronica deadpanned expression. “What?”

“Let’s….just go before I say what the voice in my head is saying about you.” Veronica said as she hops off the bed she was on, and made her way to the door of the bedroom they’re in.

What was waiting on the table though… was the last thing that Veronica wanted to see. Cinnamon Butterscotch pie… or as she called it. “……My mortal enemy.”

“Hello darkness, my old friend~” Shalltear said with a bemused expression on her face.

“Oh haha…” Veronica mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes a bit. “Being given this as my only choice for food is like being given a death sentence.”

“If it was a death sentence, then you would be dead. Now suck it up and eat it, kid. Unless you want to make that goat lady cry?”

All that did was cause Veronica to groan even more… before having to suck it up and actually take a bite. Yet… That single bite was the only bite she had. “There, I ate it. Can you stop mentally torturing me now?”

“Well seeing how this is my source of entertainment….no.”

“Trixie has to say. This is some pretty good pie… but can make one better.”

All Veronica wanted to do in that moment was have her head drop down and land face first in the pie when Trixie said that. Having to eat it from a stranger that just happened to find them in this predicament was one thing… Having to eat it from somepony that’s your friend and roommate? She did not want something like that to occur at all. Just as she looked up at the doorway that lead into the kitchen, she soon notice Toriel walking into the room with another freshly baked Cinnamon Butterscotch Pie.

“Oh, I see you’re awake child. I thought you would’ve be asleep for about a day or two after what happen.”

“Oh come on. I’m not that defenseless, lady.” Veronica thought internally to herself. Shortly before Trixie then spoke up.

“Trixie really likes your pie, but thinks that she could make one better.”

“Oh? Would you like for me to teach you the recipe then?” The moment that Veronica heard that, internal alarms were going off inside her head as she began to panic a bit.

“Please say no. Please say no… Please say NO!!” She thought to herself.

“Trixie would be thrilled to learn a new recipe!”

“DAMMIT!!!” Veronica internally cried in agony. “Why must I suffer like this?!”

“Because your life is like a TV show that I somehow find amusing. Should I play the “Hello Darkness my old friend” song in your head now?” Shalltear asked as she tries not to bust out laughing.

“...... Where’s your mute button?” Veronica grumbled, her face landing in the pie and squishing it as she moaned a bit in internal agony.

“Now, now, dear child. No playing with your food like that.” Toriel said as she walked over to Veronica. Lifting the vampire’s face up from the pie, she pulls out a small napkin and wiped away the pie from off of her face. “There, better?”

“And just when I thought this couldn’t get any more entertaining.”

“Yeah...I guess.” Veronica said as she pulled away from Toriel. “Not that I don’t mind staying here or anything. But Trixie and I should get going now. I’m suppose to be heading over to the knight’s guild in Dokapon so I can get use to the whole quest thing.”

“L-Leaving so soon? But you’re still recovering from your injuries back in the entrance of the Underground.” Toriel said to her in a motherly tone… before taking a deep sigh and then saying something else. “Well, if you are going to go… then you need to learn-”

“How to fight?”

The moment she heard the word ‘fight’, Toriel went on the defensive as she looked back at Veronica with a shocked expression. “What? No! How to talk to people…”

“…… But I’m doing that with you right now…”

“How to talk your way out of a battle child. Violence is not the answer to all fighting.”

“......She does realize that you’re a vampire and they are known to be aggressive and fight a lot...granted this is different in your case seeing how you took over my body.”

“So what do you suggest then?” Veronica asked internally. “Just play along until we get going?”

“No, stay here and eat pie until we’re fat. Of course play along until we get going!”

“I wasn’t asking for sarcasm…” Veronica groaned… until she heard what Toriel said next.

“Before we do that though, let’s make sure you can brush your teeth…”

“....If it’s not one thing, it’s another.” It didn’t help that what Shalltear said next really did not give her any form of mental support whatsoever.

“....Well, we’re kinda screwed.”

“I thought you were enjoying this…” Veronica deadpanned before looking back at Trixie for a moment and giving off the facial expression of what looked like a scared puppy wanting to run away from the crazy goat lady that was her owner.

“Um, as much as Trixie would like to stay. We should be getting going. Trixie thinks that somepony might notice Veronica has gone missing and might be worried as to where she has gone off to. So if you can direct The Great and Powerful Trixie and Veronica to the exit, then that would be great.”

“Ah… I see.” Toriel said as Veronica notice a change in her facial expression for a moment before it change back to a happy facade. “Well if you’re going to leave, would you be willing to help me with something in the kitchen? I just need help cleaning a few dishes.”

“Trixie can help with that.” The unicorn proudly declared as she walked over to where Toriel was. All while Veronica was watching this all unfold.

“What the hell was that just now?”

“So I wasn’t the only one that saw that as well.”

“Well, both you and I were looking at her when her expression changed. It just makes me think that there’s more to this goat lady that we don’t know…” Shalltear said mentally. Just around the same time that Trixie asked her something while she was helping with the dishes.

“So. Do you have any suggestions for us while we are traveling, Ms. Toriel?”

“Just… that you should be very careful when leaving the ruins. The monsters out there can be… a bit dangerous. Especially when you have a young child with you.”

“So not only am I seen as a child, I’m seen as something that pulls monsters to me like a magnet.” Veronica groaned again internally. “Fantastic…”

“You’re a human with two souls inside of a vampire’s body. One’s human which is you, while the other is that of a vampire. It wouldn’t be a surprise that monsters would be drawn to you like a moth to an open flame, or in this case a double edged blade.”

“Would you know of anypony that could help us on the journey?” Trixie then asked Toriel as she used a dishtowel to clean up some plates.

“I might know someone that could help you both with that.” Toriel said as she begins to make her way out of the kitchen. “I’ll actually go get him. You just stay here and finish up in here. This won’t take long.” She said as she walks past Veronica and into the front room where the door was.

That had Veronica look back to Trixie for a moment as Toriel had stepped out of the room. “Who do you think is this person she’s talking about?” All Trixie could do was shrug as she dried up a few more plates and finished with the dishes.

“Something’s not right.”

“Hunh? What do you mean?” Veronica asked as she looked around the room for a moment. “I mean… other than this place being oddly quiet, I don’t sense anything out of the ordinary.”

“Follow her. Something about the way she’s acting doesn't seem right to me. I mean, don’t you think it’s kinda odd that she knows a person to help us? Not only that but she told Trixie to stay here while she goes and gets him?”

“She must’ve assumed that Trixie would look after and babysit me…” Veronica muttered… before realizing what she just said. “Oh HELL NO!!”

“.....Focus idiot. Why go out in a dangerous place alone when she herself said that it was filled with dangerous monsters?”

“... You’re right. Something about that isn’t right.”

“Follow that lying motherfucker before she does something that might keep us trapped here forever.” Veronica didn’t need to be told twice about that as she stood up from her seat, and followed after Toriel. Once she was in her sight, she paused and brushed up against the side of the doorway and watched the goat monster walk downstairs.

“Where is she going?”

“Downstairs from the looks of it. Seeing how we can’t go back to that hole from before, I bet she knows of another way out of these ruins.”

“Please don’t tell me that the person she’s referring to lives down here…”

“Who lives in a basement besides a overweight fat nerd that hasn’t left his parent’s home after college?”

“...... How do you know any of those things?”

“Your mind is like an open book kid. Now focus and follow her. Make sure she doesn’t know you’re following her or else we’re screwed even more than how we are now.” Veronica rolled her eyes as she goes back to following Toriel downstairs. As she continues to follow after her, Veronica noticed that the layout of the hallway was different then the layout in the upstairs hallway. The walls were made of stone than wood.

“I wasn’t expecting something like this here.”

“Indeed, though coming from her it shouldn’t be a surprise.” Shalltear said as she looked ahead to see Toriel walking down the hallway. “Don’t just stand there, follow her.”

“Oh r-right!” Veronica stammered as she slowly continues to follow after Toriel. Once they turn the corner, they would soon see her standing in front of a large stone door.

“I knew it. There was a way out of here!”

“What do you think she’s going to do?”

“What do you think she’s going to do? She’s going to destroy the only means for you and Trixie to get out of here. Stop her you idiot!”

“I’m sure she isn’t going to do that.” Veronica said as she begins to walk up towards Toriel. “Hey, Toriel! What are you doing down here in this dark and cold place?” She asked, causing Toriel to jump in surprise by hearing Veronica voice down here. Turning around the vampire would notice an awkward smile on her face as she looks around trying to avoid eye contact with the little girl.

“Oh, hello small child. W-What are you doing here?”

“I notice you were walking downstairs for some reason.” Veronica winced from saying that as she placed a hand on her head for a moment. “Okay, let me rephrase that. The voice in my head said that you were doing something odd. Like saying that you’re planning on destroying that door behind you.”

“What? Don’t be silly. Why would I do something like that?” The Goat monster said, trying to act innocent. But due to her eyes shifting left and right, and the expression on her face. Her lie didn’t do so much as raise suspicions for the vampire.

“Uh huh…..you do know that I can tell when someone is lying just by listening to your heartbeat right?” Veronica said as Toriel’s eyes widen in shock by this.

“Well what you’re saying isn’t a lie, but you haven’t figured out how to do that yet. Nice job in lying about that one I guess.” Shalltear said as she notice Toriel’s expression darken. “Though I think you might’ve dug your own grave with that one.”

“...... Child, this is a matter that does not concern you. I don’t want you to lose yourself like-” For a moment, she stopped… realizing what she was about to say before looking back at Veronica. “... like my son.”

“Great, we’re dealing with a grieving mother. As if dealing with that flower wasn't bad enough.” Shalltear said as she groans in annoyance. “We don’t have time for this. Just walk pass her so we can leave….then again we can’t leave that blue unicorn here...unless we can just bail on her.” Shaking her head, Veronica looked up at Toriel with a confused expression on her face by her statement.

“Look, I’m sorry about whatever happen to your son. But keeping me here against my will pretty much counts as kidnapping. So if you would do so kindly as to let me and Trixie leave, then that would be great.”

“Child, you may be eager to leave… but I want to make sure that both of you are ready…” Toriel explained. “Others may not take so kindly to a human with two souls walking around the underground…… Because all other humans who have passed this gate before have perished.”

“Perished? By what?”

“.....How the hell are you still alive after coming this far in life?”

“Not many monsters take so kindly to humans… especially when the war between both kinds lead to us being banished here,” Toriel sighed, before looking at Veronica with a fierce gaze. “But… if you want to pass… prove to me that you have the strength to survive.”

“Can’t we just talk about this like civilized monsters...or humans or…hey what am I anyway?” Veronica asked as she placed a hand to her chin.

“About to be roasted if you don’t move your ass. Like, oh I don’t know. NOW!?” Shalltear yelled as Veronica looked up to see a fireball heading towards her. At the least second, she quickly ducked out of the way as the fireball passed her as she looked back at Toriel as her hands were covered in fire.

“Okay, guess talking is out of the question then huh?” Veronica said as she drew out her sword and prepares to fight.

“No… it isn’t. The choice is yours to make.” Toriel told her in response. “Would you find it in yourself to truly strike me down? I only wish that you can resolve matters peacefully… even though-”

“HOLD it!!!” In a fit of both magic, fireworks, and sparkling dust. A certain show pony appears in between the vampire and the goat monster. “Who dares attack The Great and Powerful Trixie’s assistant!?”

“......Trixie, may I ask you something?” Toriel replied back. “Do you believe that you and this child can be able to survive past the door that leads outside the ruins?” Trixie looked over at Toriel with an questionable expression on her face before looking over at Veronica with the same expression.

“Trixie is confused. Why are you and Toriel down here and why are her hands covered in fire?”

“Long story short. We can’t leave unless we get pass her.” Veronica answered as she points over to Toriel. There was a moment of silence for a while before Trixie’s eyes widen to what was going on down here.

“Oh…..Oh! Trixie sees what’s going on now.” The unicorn said before standing in front of the vampire. “Fear not! For I! The Great and Powerful Trixie will defend-.” Just as she was about to finish her long winded speech, she was soon sent flying backwards by one of Toriel’s fireballs and caused her to crash into the stone wall. “...On second thought…maybe you should do this assistant…Trixie is going to lay here...until the pain stops.”

“Great and Powerful my ass. She couldn’t do more then serve as your meat shield then anything else.” Shalltear said causing Veronica to roll her eyes and glare at Toriel with determination in her eyes. In seeing this though, that was when Toriel combined two of her fireballs into a much bigger flame before sending it in their direction. Upon seeing the giant fireball, Veronica quickly drew her sword up above herself to cut the fireball in half. Only for it to explode upon impact sending her skidding backwards a bit before coming to a halt thanks to using her sword as a means to stop her from going backwards.

Once Veronica came to a halt, she placed her sword into the ground for a moment as she raised her hands up. Once her hands were up, a dark aura appeared around them as a ball of darkness appeared before she fires it at Toriel in an attempt to injure her, but not kill her. Just enough so she can be knocked out.

Her attempt seemed successful… but it was after the dust settled that she saw that it did a bit of damage to her. Nothing fatal, but still looked like it hurt. “...... Most i-impressive, child… You certainly have strength… But… can you be able to demonstrate restraint? Violence is not always the answer to solve all problems.”

“Says the crazy goat lady who's throwing fireballs at us.”

“You’re not helping Shalltear.”

Toriel then stood upright, looking at both of them for a moment before speaking. “You may leave. But know this. Once you go through this door, you and your friend will never be allowed to come back. Do I make myself clear?”

“Does that mean Trixie will not be able to get that pie recipe from you?” Trixie asked as Veronica looked over at the unicorn with a deadpanned expression.

“Really? That’s what you’re more focused on right now?”

“What? Trixie was promised the recipe. If Trixie does not get it, it’s your fault.” She glared at Veronica in response. “Besides, Trixie is the only one to keep an eye on you after we leave… Child.”

“.....Why am I friends with you I will never-.” Before she could finish her sentence, she was soon cut off by being hit in the face by a fireball about the size of her head. This caused the vampire to fall backwards on the floor. “Ow.”

“Focus idiot. You got a flaming she goat throwing fireballs at you to deal with.” Shalltear said as Veronica quickly pulls herself up. “Got any ideas on how to beat her?”

“Why are you asking me? You’re the one with the bright ideas after all.” The vampire thought as she fired off a ball of darkness at an oncoming fireball from Toriel causing it to explode upon impact. “I’m just a girl that goes on instincts with you not being the brains of this party.”

“Well then you better think of something, because right now you’re kinda running on empty via magic wise.”

Yet, as another fireball was thrown at them, Veronica did not expect for Trixie to grab what looked like a bucket of water and throw it at the projectile… Nor did Veronica or Shalltear expect such a futile attempt to actually work. “Haha! The great and powerful Trixie has discovered a weakness to your pyrokinetic sorcery-” Unfortunately, she only had one bucket…and Toriel had more that one fireball at the ready. “Oh Dear Luna no.”

“Okay Veronica, think. There’s gotta be something that could work to our advantage.” While Trixie was busy screaming while dodging molten balls of fire, Veronica began to look around the area she was in. Just as she was about to groan in annoyance, she soon noticed something fall from out of the goat monster’s pocket. “Um, I think you dropped something?” That had Toriel look down at her feet and it caused the Caretaker to stop what she was doing in order to pick it up off the ground rather quickly.

“What is that anyway?”

“...... My phone, child.”

“....Wait, you have a phone? Down here in this place?” Veronica asked, a bit dumbfounded by this.

“... Yes I do.” Toriel continued to speak more… but it was then that Veronica heard Trixie say something.

“Hey…… Perhaps we can use that phone to distract her?” She whispered. “Get her to not pay attention to us and have us sneak out?”

“I might be able to do that.” Veronica said as she looked over at Toriel. “Hey, does that phone take pictures or something?”

“Oh? Why yes it does. Why do you ask?”

“Mind if I take a few pictures of you?” The vampire asked as Toriel raised an eyebrow. “Kinda running on empty at the moment, and I know how this is turning out, you’ll pretty much win the fight. So why not take a few pictures of yourself just in case you want to brag about it to your friends?”

“Why sure… Would it be just of me or you and your friend as well?”

“We’ll start out with you first before we get into the shot. You know, so everyone can get a good look at your rocking figure after all.”

“Okay, this can’t actually work? I mean she’s not that stupid or gullible to fall for something like this-”

“Alright, is there anything in particular you want me to do, child?” Toriel then answered back.

“.....I stand corrected.”

“Hm, mind turning around so I get a good picture of your back side? Gotta take a picture of you all around just in case someone makes a model based off of you and needs the pictures for it.” Veronica said as she noticed Trixie appear near the door in a puff of magic. Toriel nodded, doing what Veronica had requested her to do and not noticing Trixie’s presence at all. Once she was turned around, Veronica began to take pictures of the goat monster as she slowly crept over to the door that Trixie was able to slowly open. “That’s it, just a few more pics and I’ll be done.”

“Sure thing. Are you sure that you want these photo’s to be just me?”

“Hey, I have no worries about it being all about you. Just stay like that for ten seconds and I’ll be done with your back side.” Veronica said, as she place the camera phone against the door before following after Trixie and closing the door shut quietly.

“Okay, so what-” That was when Toriel turned back around… only to see that both Veronica and Trixie were nowhere to be found and the phone along with a token with the words “Sorry” on it's forehead lying on the ground. “....Son of a bitch.” The goat monster then walked over to pick up her phone…only to blush at each one of the pictures that was taken of her.

“M-maybe I should be exercising more…”

Chapter 15: Bonetrousle in the Snow

With Toriel fooled by Veronica’s plan of diversion, both she and Trixie quickly made their way out of the ruins that Toriel lived in. Seeing the exit only a few steps away from them, the two put it into high gear as they burst through the stoned door without even a second thought before closing it quickly. Once it was closed, the two fell to the ground as they began to pant and gasp for air.

“I can’t believe that plan worked.” Veronica said, taking in deep breaths for every second that went by.

“Trixie can not believe it for herself either….Though it was a shame I didn’t get Toriel’s pie recipe.” The mare said as she felt Veronica throw some snow onto her face.

“As if I wanted to eat that pie. I don’t like butterscotch that much, but to make a pie out of it is just too much sugar.” The vampire said as the mare snorts in annoyance.

“That pie was good to Trixie! And as your current guardian, you will eat it and like it!”

“Like hell I would you blueberry colored pony!”

“Well, well if it isn’t the two folks that I was trying to kill.” said a familiar voice as the duo looked over to see Flowey appearing next to them from out of the snow. “I’m surprised you two were able to escape from the ruins that monster lives in.”

“You got some nerve showing yourself to us after what you did to Veronica.” Trixie said as her horn began to glow. “Give Trixie a reason not to turn you into ashes?”

“Because your magic can’t hurt me given how it’s not good~” Flowey said as Trixie quickly fired a magical beam. Only for the flower to duck down into the snow and reappear a few feet away from them. “That and I can dodge your slow magic friend.”

“Hold still so I can kill you evil flower!” Trixie yelled as she fired at him again, only for him to duck back into the snow and appear back in front of her.

“You’re wasting your time and magic friend. You’ll never hit me with that kind of skill~” He said as the unicorn face burned bright red and was about to fire again. Only for Veronica to step in between her and the flower.

“Hey, do you have any food on you or something?” She said as the pony and flower stared at her as if she looked slightly off or something.

“W-What?”

“You know, food? You consume it? I’m kinda hungry seeing how the only thing that the goat lady had was that butterscotch pie….which tasted horrible due to how sweet it was.”

“Um….no, I don’t have any food.”

“Well okay then seeya.” She said as she walked passed Flowey and motions Trixie to follow her. “Come on Trixie. Let’s see if we can find some food around here.”

“H-Hey! You can’t just ignore me!” Flowey yelled as Trixie quickly followed after Veronica. “Don’t you want to hear about my demonic plans for you and the stupid pony!?”

“Stupid pony-!?” Before Trixie could finish, she felt herself being pulled by her cape by Veronica as she looked over at her. “What are you doing?”

“Follow my lead. I want to try something out on him.” She whispered before looking back at Flowey. “Nope not interested! Sorry!”

“B-But my demonic plans….”

“Can’t hear you lalalalala!”

“I don’t think you understand-”

“Lalalala! I’m not listening! Going to look for something to eat! Goodbye!”

“But...I’m a flower…” He said as he deadpans for a moment before pulling out a chocolate bar from out of the snow. “Jokes on her, I got a chocolate bar.” Just as he was about to eat it, the candy bar was soon enveloped in a blue aura before it was pulled away and thrown into Veronica’s hand. “Hey! Give that back you piece of-”

“Can’t hear you goodbye!”

“I’m going to get you two for this!....What an asshole.” Flowey said before vanishing into the snow.

“Ignoring the little pest before he could rile you or Trixie up. Not bad given your case, but I would’ve just killed it where it stood.”

“I figure we ignore him so that we rile him up more then him doing it to us.” Veronica said as she chuckles to herself.

“Talking to Shalltear Trixie take it?” Trixie asked as the vampire nodded. “You should really try not to talk out loud so often. Ponies will think you’re crazy.”

“This coming from the mare that’s talking in third person?”

“Trixie can stop doing that at any time….she just chooses not to.”

“Sure you can.” Veronica said as the two continued their way down the snowy path through the snow covered forest. As they did that, Veronica noticed a bridge with what she could guess was a crudely shaped fence going through it. The vampire and pony stared at it for a moment before looking at each other with a bit of confusion on their faces. “I’m not the only one that’s seeing this right?”

“Trixie sees it too and is wondering who the poor pony that they hired to make this bridge like this? Shouldn’t the fence be on the side?”

“Or if they’re trying to stop people from walking through, shouldn’t there be more wood to fill in the gaps?” The vampire said before thinking it over for a bit. “Might as well walk through it.”

“Trixie is against walking through something that looks like a trap. She suggest that we should-” Before Trixie could finish her sentence, Veronica began to make her way over the bridge “H-Hey! Wait up darnit!” She yelled before quickly following after the small vampire. Just as they were about to take their first step on the bridge, a sense of dread washed over their bodies as they stopped upon hearing the footsteps in the snow behind them.

“Hey….Don’t you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand.” The voice said as both Veronica and Trixie glance at each other. Seeing how Veronica could tell that she didn’t want to be the one to turn around due to her shaking in her place, the vampire sighed as she closed her eyes and turned around to shake whoever it was behind them’s hand. Upon doing so, they heard the sound of a whoopie cushion from the being’s hand as Veronica opened her eyes in surprise.

“.....what the hell?” Veronica said as she quickly pulled her hand away from the being.

“Heheh. The old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. It’s always funny.” The being said before releasing the vampire’s hand. “Anyway, you’re a human right?” he asked as Veronica and Trixie stared at him with dumbfounded expressions on their face.

“Um…Yes, in a way?” Veronica answered as Trixie rubbed her eyes in disbelief.

“You’re a...talking skeleton?” Trixie asked.

“Well I don’t know what else I am.” He said, looking over himself in a lazy fashion before looking at the two. “I’m Sans. Sans the skeleton.”

“Well, it’s nice to meet you Sans. I’m Veronica Bloodfallen.” She said before pointing over to Trixie. “And this is my partner, Trixie.”

“That’s Great and Powerful Trixie to you child!” Trixie yelled which caused Sans to chuckle a bit from her reaction. “Mind telling us why you sneaked up on us like that?”

“Well, I’m actually supposed to be on watch for humans right now.”

“Kill him before he tries to capture you fool!” Shalltear yelled as Veronica rolled her eyes and ignored her advice.

“But….y’know….I don’t really care so much about capturing anybody. Now my sister Panini, she’s a human-hunting fanatic.” Sans said before looking passed the vampire and unicorn to see someone heading their way. “Hey, actually, I think that’s her over there heading here.”

“Quick, we got to hide you before she tries to capture you.” Trixie said before using her magic to lift Veronica up and pulls her close to her and begins to look around for someplace to hide the vampire in or behind.

“You know I can walk over to where I need to hide right? You don’t need to do that Trixie.” Veronica said with a deadpan expression on her face as she looked over at Sans.

“I have an idea. Go through this gate thingy.” He said as the two looked at him with raised eyebrows. “Yeah, go right through. My sis made the bars too wide to stop anyone.”

“Well that answers my question of who made this.” Veronica said as she felt herself being moved as the three of them began to quickly walk through the somewhat blockade bridge and onto the other side which had a lamp and a booth next to each other.

“Quick, hide her behind that conveniently human girl shape lamp.” Trixie nodded as she quickly threw her over behind the lamp as she let out a yelp once she landed. “Now try to act normal like you’re not hiding anything.” He said as his sister quickly walked up to the two of them giving Sans an annoyed expression on her face. “Sup, sis?”

“You know what’s up brother! It’s been eight days and you still haven’t recalibrated your puzzles! You just hang around outside your station! What are you even doing!?”

“Staring at this lamp. It’s really cool. Do you wanna look?”

“Kill them now! Before it’s too late you fool!” Shalltear yelled as Veronica rolled her eyes at her again.

“Killing is not the answer to everything you know?”

“It is in this case. Now kill them before they capture us you idiot!”

“No! I don’t have time for that!” Panini said as she stomps the ground in anger. “What if a human comes through here!? I want to be ready, I will be the one! I must be the one! I will capture a human! Then, I, The Great Panini! Will get all the things I utterly deserve!” She said as she gave off a triumphant pose. “Respect, Recognition, I will finally be able to join the royal guard! People will ask to be my….friend? I will bathe in a shower of kisses every morning.”

“And here I thought Trixie was so full of herself, this girl somehow out shines her.” Veronica thought as she chuckles silently.

“Hmm. Maybe this lamp will help you. Or the Pony next to it?” Sans said as Trixie looked at him with an angry expression and whispered

“What are you doing!? Aren’t you supposed to be helping us!?” The mare said as Panini snorted in annoyance and stomped her feet.

“Sans! You’re not helping! You lazybones! All you do is sit and boondoggle! You get lazier and lazier everyday!”

“Hey, take it easy. I’ve gotten a ton of work done today. A skele-ton.” He said as the sound of a drum set goes off. Veronica cringed at the awful pun as she clenched her chest. Looking up she saw a negative five number above her head as she blinked in surprise by this.

“Seriously? What the hell!?” Shalltear yelled as she began to rage inside of Veronica’s head. “How can something like that pun hurt you!?”

“It was a bad pun! What did you expect!?”

“Sans!!!”Panini yelled as a smirk unknowingly appeared on her face.

“Come on. You’re smiling sis.”

“I am and I hate it!” She said with a defeated sigh. “Why does someone as great as me have to do so much just to get some recognition?”

“Wow, sounds like you’re really working yourself down to the bone~” He said as once again a drum set was heard being played as Veronica clenched her chest again. Looking up once more, she saw another negative five appeared above her head as she deadpan to this.

“Stop letting his puns hurt you dammit!”

“How am I supposed to do that you jerk!?”

“UGH! I will attend to my puzzles! As for your work? Put a little more, backbone into it!” Panini said as she laughs and begins to leave the area they were in. Veronica clinched her chest even harder as a negative ten sign appeared above her.

“Okay, you can come out now.” Sans said as Veronica flopped from behind the lamp and onto the snow covered ground panting.

“Never do puns like that again!” Veronica yelled as she staggers to her feet

“Oh, so you do have a weakness?” Trixie asked as a smirk appeared on her face. “Maybe I should buy a book with some puns to use on you when you’re being disrespectful towards Trixie~?” The mare said as the vampire glared at her with malice. “I’m joking, I’m joking….for the most part.”

“You two oughta get going. She might come back, and if she does. You’ll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes~”

“Hilarious is an understatement. More like toxic jokes that could kill us within minutes. Now get moving before he does another painful joke and kills you.” Shalltear said as Veronica and Trixie began to leave, only to pause upon hearing Sans calling for them.

“Actually, hey. Hate to bother you two, but can you do me a favor?”

“What kind of favor?” Trixie asked and Veronica raised an eyebrow.

“I was thinking. My sister’s been kinda down lately. She’s never seen a human before, and seeing you might just make her day. Don’t worry, she’s not dangerous. Even if she tries to be.”

“You better not agree to this or so help me I’ll-”

“Sure, I don’t see why not?” Veronica said as she smiled.

“I hate you sometimes.”

“Love you too bestest buddy~”

“Thanks a million. I’ll be up ahead so don’t wait up for me.” Sans said as he walked off into the other direction.

“Was that really a smart thing to do?” Trixie asked as Veronica shrugged.

“Maybe, but his sister didn’t seem like the type that could hurt a fly or capture anyone at least.” The vampire said as she motions for Trixie to follow. “Come on, let’s go make the living skeleton’s dream somewhat come true!”

Chapter 16: Panini's Puzzle Games

As instructed, the duo began to make their way over to the north where Panini and San’s would be. As they walked, Trixie began to shiver due to the coldness of the snow covered area they’re in as she sneezed. It didn’t help her that she was wearing a somewhat skin revealing outfit, but then again this is Trixie we’re talking about. This mare wouldn’t take anypony’s opinion to heart less she had no choice or let her pride go.

“Trixie hates this place!” Trixie yelled as she and Veronica walked down the snow covered path that Sans told them to go. The unicorn shivered upon feeling a gust of cold wind brush by them as she quickly use her cape to help keep her warm. “It’s too cold! There’s snow everywhere we go! And I’m freezing my flank off!”

“We’ve only been walking for about a couple of seconds, and you’re complaining? Geez, how the hell did you even survive in the Everfree Forest when we first met?”

“Trixie can complain as much as she wants. And right now Trixie is complaining to keep her mind off of how cold it is.”

“But...that doesn’t make any sense. Wouldn’t you be thinking about how cold it is when you complain about it?” Veronica asked as it caused Trixie to pause for a moment and glare at the vampire.

“Don’t question Trixie’s logic! I don’t see you complaining on how cold the weather is here?”

“It doesn’t feel cold to me. It feels like the temperature back in Dokapon City. Nice, cool, and relaxing. That and I’m a vampire, so I guess that might be an added bonus to being somewhat undead/human?”

“.....That logic doesn’t make any sense!”

“Nether does your logic, but you don’t see me complaining about it being cold.” Veronica said as a sign saying Critical hit appeared above Trixie head before disappearing.

“.....Fair point. Anyway, where are we supposed to be going anyway?”

“We’re supposed to meet the siblings here down this trail of snow covered trees...I think...It’s kinda hard to tell which way we’re going seeing how the trail is covered in snow and all.”

“Fan bucking tastic. Not only are we lost, but now we’re going to die in the freezing cold!” Trixie yelled as she slumped down into the snow. “Might as well wait here to die if that’s the case. Trixie did not think that she would die like this.”

“Stop being melodramatic. We might be on the right track.”

“And what makes you say that?”

“Because I hear a pair of voices coming from up ahead.” The vampire said before looking forwards and squinting her eyes at two familiar figures from before. “Yep, there they are.”

“About time. Trixie knew we would find them soon.” The unicorn said as she stood up. “Come along vampire. We have a job to do for that bone pony’s sister.”

“....I’m starting to dislike this pony and her mood swings.” Shalltear said as Veronica rolled her eyes and began to follow after Trixie. Once the duo were close, they began to listen in on the skeleton sibling’s conversation.

“So, as I was saying about Undyne. I think I could get her to be more open if I can just capture a-” Panini paused for a moment as she felt a presence near her and Sans. She quickly looked over to her left to see Veronica and Trixie staring at them before she looked back at Sans. “Sans! Oh my god! Is that a human!?” She asked as Sans looked beside the vampire human and unicorn.

“Uhhhh. Actually, I think that’s a rock.” He said pointing to said rock with a smirk on his face.

“Oh….”

“Hey, What’s that in front of the rock?” Panini paused for a moment as she squinted her eyes at Veronica and Trixie for a moment before her eyes widen at Veronica.

“Oh my god!” She said before quickly looking at Sans. “Is that a human?”

“Yes.”

“Oh my god! Sans! I finally did it! Undyne will, I’m gonna, I’ll be so. Popular! Popular! Popular!” For a moment, Panini continued to fantasize her own life changing for the better. That is until she finally snapped out of it and tried to regain her composure. “Ahem! Human! You shall not pass this area! I, The Great Panini, will stop you! I will then capture you! You will be delivered to the capital! Then….Then! I’m not sure what’s next. In any case! Continue....Only if you dare!” She said before running off while laughing.

“Well, that went well. Don’t sweat it, kid. I’ll keep an eye socket out for ya.” He said with a wink before walking off after his sister.

“That pun was horrible.” Veronica said before looking up to see negative five sign above herself. “Oh come on!”

“You seem to be rather affected by puns…This could be a problem if that’s what you’re weak against.” Trixie said as the Veronica glared daggers at her. “What? It could be possible for you at least.”

“Let’s….just go and follow them so we can challenge Sans’s sister. Because right now I have no problem with Shalltear going ham on your butt.”

“That….doesn’t make any sense.”

“Just go!” She said before storming off to where the siblings had walked off to with Trixie following from behind. Once they made it through the forest, they would soon find themselves in a clearing. Looking forward, the vampire and the unicorn could see the skeleton siblings talking to each other.

“You’re so lazy! You were napping all night!”

“I think that’s called sleeping.” Sans said with a chuckle in his voice. Panini folded her arms and shakes her head in disappointment.

“Excuses, excuses!” She said before looking over at Veronica and Trixie with a confident smirk on her face. “Oh-ho! The human arrives! In order to stop you, my brother and I have created some puzzles! I think you will find this one...Quite shocking!” She said before another negative five appear above Veronica.

“If you die from all these puns, I will haunt you myself human!” Shalltear yelled as Veronica rolled her eyes to her threat and focus on Panini.

“You see, this is the invisible electricity maze!” Panini said as she gave off a dramatic pose. Trixie and Veronica looked down at the giant square with raised eyebrows as they looked over at Sans who just shrugged. “When you touch the walls of this maze. This orb will administer a hearty zap!” She said before pulling out said orb and making zapping sounds. “Sound like fun? Because! The amount of fun you will probably have. Is actually rather small I think. Okay, you can go ahead now.”

“.......Does she know that we’re supposed to hold onto the orb thing and not her?” Veronica asked as she looked over at Trixie who took a step onto the area they were supposed to walk through as the sound of someone getting zapped echoed throughout the area. The duo turned their attention back on Sans and Panini to see the older sibling on the ground covered in electricity. “Guess that answers my question.” She said as Panini quickly bolted up as she glared at Sans.

“Sans!!! What did you do!?”

“I think the human has to hold the orb.”

“Oh, okay.” Panini quickly walked over to where Trixie and Veronica were standing and placed the orb on Veronica’s head. “Hold this please?” She said before walking back over to Sans. “Okay, try now!”

“...She’s not the brightest pony is she?” Trixie asked as Veronica simply shrugged.

“Look all we have to do is just follow the path she took and then we can go on to the next thing. I mean look at her, we can’t just ruin her crowning moment can we?”

“Technically we can, but you’re being a goody little two-shoes to just ignore this.” Shalltear said as it caused Veronica to roll her eyes and begin to walk through the trap by following the path that Panini layed out unknowingly for them. Panini’s eyes widen upon seeing the hybrid human walk out of her trap with easy as she lets out a gasp.

“Incredible!! You slippery snail!! You solved it so easily...Too easily! However! The next puzzle will not be easy! It is designed by my brother, Sans!” She said point a thumb at him as she waves. “You will surely be confounded! I know I am!” She said before running towards the next area while laughing. While she did that, the duo notice Sans walking over to them with a smile on his face.

“Hey, thanks. My sister seems like she’s having fun. Been awhile since I’ve seen her like this.”

“Happy to help….but does your sister know I’m not a human?” Veronica asked as Sans shook his head.

“Nah, but she can sense that you have a soul of a human...Kinda makes me wonder how you were able to do something like that.”

“It’s a bit of a long story. One that I’ll be sure to tell you once we find a way out of here...there is a way out of the underground, right?”

“Oh there is. You just need to follow the road to the king’s palace. Though getting there and asking the king might be a bit of a challenge.”

“What makes you say that?” Trixie asked as Sans shrugs.

“Just a feeling I’m getting. But for now, I’ll see you in the next area~” Sans said before walking off to where Panini was. Trixie and Veronica looked at each other for a moment before following after Sans.

“So all we have to do is follow the road that leads to the king’s palace, ask him to let us go home, and we’ll be in Dokapon Kingdom before night time. Seems simple enough.”

“Yeah...but that seems a bit too easy don’t you think? I mean, remember what the goat lady said about this place and how she was trying to stop us from leaving the ruins?”

“Yeah I remember, but I’m sure whatever challenge comes Trixie’s way, She’ll be able to take them down with her magic! For I am the Great and Powerful Trixie!” She yelled as fireworks went off from behind herself.

“How are you able to do that?”

“Magic my young naive friend...that and Trixie carries fireworks with her at all times.” The unicorn said as she open her cape to reveal about fifty fireworks strapped to the inside her of cape. Veronica deadpanned upon seeing them before turning her attention back onto the snow covered path. “Hey, don’t you judge Trixie! You’ll thank me one day when theses will come in handy.”

“If you say so.” She said before noticing Panini and Sans standing across another clearing ahead of them with a piece of paper in the middle of the path they’re walking in.

“Human!!! I hope you’re ready for…” Panini paused as she looked around the area they’re in as she looked over at Sans. “Sans, where’s the puzzle?”

“It’s right there. On the ground.” He said, pointing a finger at the piece of paper. “Trust me. There’s no way they can get past this one.” Trixie and Veronica looked at each other again before Veronica walked over to the piece of paper on the ground and picked it up.

“....is it okay to kill them now?”

“One more lip about you wanting to kill them and I will attack you with puns on a mental scale!”

“You’ll get hurt to stupid.”

“I’m willing to take the risk of that happening.” Veronica simply folded the paper up and placed it in her inventory before walking over to the siblings.

“Sans! That didn’t do anything!” Panini said as she glared at the younger brother.

“Whoops. I knew I should’ve used today’s crossword instead.” He said as her sister gasp dramatically.

“What!? Crossword!? I can’t believe you said that! In my opinion, Junior jumble is easily the hardest.”

“What? Really, dude? That easy-peasy word scramble? That’s for baby bones.”

“Unbelievable! Human! Solve this dispute!? Which is harder? Jumble or Crossword?”

“Hmmmm. Never done either of them before...But I would have to say Jumble.” Veronica answered as Panini smile to that answer.

“Ha ha! Yes! Humans must be very intelligent! If they also find Junior Jumble so difficult. Nyeh! Heh! Heh heh!” She said before running off again. There was a moment of silence in the air before Trixie spoke up and looked over at Sans.

“How many more of your sister’s puzzle games are left? Because Trixie is having a hard time trying not to bust out laughing from all this.”

“The next one should be the last. At least I think it is, been awhile since I’ve seen her use these on anyone. So my memory is a bit fuzzy on the details. But anyway, thanks for saying “Junior Jumble” just to appease my sister.”

“No offense, but your sister isn’t the smartest banana is she?” Veronica asked as Sans chuckled.

“Yeah, not the brightest either. Yesterday she got stumped trying to “solve” the horoscope.”

“.....She knows that there’s no way to solve something that’s only meant to be used as a forecast of a person's future...right?” Trixie asked as San’s shrugs and begins to walk off. “....Trixie is hoping that the next time we see them, it will be the last puzzle thing that Panini has for us.”

“I was kinda hoping for more to be honest.” Veronica said as she noticed Trixie glaring at her. “But I can see what you mean. Let’s hurry up and catch up to them before we lose sight of them.” She said before quickly following after the siblings. Trixie sighed as she follows after Veronica to what would be the last puzzle game.

(Dokapon Kingdom, Knight’s Guild)

“So mind telling me why you’ve brought me here in private dear.” Blueblood asked as he noticed Vanessa leaning across his desk. “Unless this involves sex, then I’m not against it….this time.”

“Not that you idiot.” She said with a blush on her face. “And that time you wanted to do it was because it was that time of the season.”

“Which was so worth it when we got our little princess from it.” He said with a smirk on his face, only for it to vanish once he notice a deadpan expression on Vanessa’s face. “Right, joking aside. What seems to be the problem?”

“Veronica found the wondering hole that leads to the underground kingdom.”

“.....Wow, already two days and she’s on a adventure. I’m a bit surprise that Peppita didn’t find it first given her luck.”

“If it was her, then we would be able to get her out in a second. But seeing how Veronica is a human, well her soul is. This might be a problem for her to get out of there.”

“What would you suggest we should do? We don’t want the king of the underground to think we’re invading their world. Faust knows we don’t want another war to happen here again when I got appointed to King of Dokapon after ending the war.”

“Agent Red is still in the underground kingdom right?” Vanessa asked as the stallion nodded. “I would suggest we have her keep an eye on her, just to make sure nothing bad happens.”

“Normally I would send one of our finest soldier to aid her in getting out of there. But seeing how the hole appeared for Veronica due to how low level she is, and Agent Red is the youngest one out of the guild that can get in and out of there without detection. Alright, send a signal to Red about the situation asap. Let’s hope that they’ll be able to make it out of there in one piece.”
