I just can't sleep. I look at the clock. It's 4:27 AM. I get up and turn on the lights. I walk towards the kitchen. I flip the switch. Everything where it was. I walk towards the table, reaching for the blue envelope. I open it. Some green smoke pops out. I fan it away, but it smells like... reptile. Huh.

The letter is addressed to a Mr. James Fern. That's me, all right.

"Dear Mr. Fern,

You are cordially invited to join us at the Nightmare Night Festival, with special regards from Princess Luna. Your transport will come at 9:00 AM on Tuesday. We hope you accept our invitation.

That's strange. Why would they ask me to leave the door unlocked?

I check the calendar. It's Tuesday. I check the time again. It's 5:06 AM.

I better hurry.

I run to my room, grabbing a suitcase. A voice in my head tells me I won't need it, for some reason. I pack anyway.

It's 8:47 AM. I sit patiently on the couch. I'm watching another episode of the show. "Luna Eclipsed." Funny, the characters are going to the Nightmare Night Festival. Huh.  A character appears on screen. I squint my eyes. It's was the pegasus that I had seen earlier. Her name is Luna.

Then everything went black.
