Everyone is gearing up for Canterlot City’s 200th Anniversary Celebration, and the Rainbooms (now counting the human Twilight Sparkle as one of their members) are super excited to contribute their own events to the citywide celebrations. However, the fun and games will have to take a back seat when another great evil banished from Equestria resurfaces to wreck havoc in their world-and this one just might be a match for the Magic of Friendship!

With foul magic and shadow creatures running amuck, the girls are going to need to muster all the magic that they can, so they call on Princess Twilight Sparkle to help them out. But Twilight soon finds herself divided between her duties as a princess and matters of the heart. Unfortunately, balancing the two will not be as simple as she would like it to be.

Will the Rainbooms be able to save the day again? Or will the solution come from the most unexpected source of all?
