S: In a world where cybernetic augmentation is as commonplace as the clothing industry, it was only a matter of time until somepony wanted to be an alicorn.

L: Celestia and Luna are gone. The day-night cycle is a thing barely remembered by the oldest of ponies, and the rest of ponykind accepts the perpetual dusk without question. Only one alicorn remains, and Twilight Sparkle has proved a fantastic princess. All of the trains run on time, the streets are clear of litter, and anypony who desires it can receive very affordable cybernetic augmentations. From earth pony to unicorn, from pegasus to hippocampus, there exist augments for basically everything.

Well, almost everything.

To become an alicorn is illegal. To even speak of such things is tantamount to treason. There are many for whom the thought of an 'artificorn', as they are called, is akin to sacrilege.

And today, in a small little aug-shop in District 225, one little unicorn decides to break the law.
