The Beginning
Princess Twilight Sparkle have returned back form the human world after apologize to Sunset and her friends for not answering her calls from her book and after the shock to see the human world's Twilight. Her friends were waiting at the portal for her return.
"So how was the human world Twilight?" ask Applejack as she is coming out of the portal.
" Let's just say it was a shocking visited." answered Twilight. Then she notice a glow coming of a book on the table and she walk up to it. "I wonder why this book glowing?" she said as she open it slowly.
Then suddenly the book beamed a light as she open it wide and began to pull Twilight, her friends, and every pony in Equestria including Princess Celestia and Luna into the book. As Twilight open her eyes and get up while rubbing her head and found out she was a human again then she look around and ask. "Wh--where are we?"
"Where are we Princess Celestia?" ask Twilight to Princess Celestia.
"I don't know Twilight, but for some reason I feel I have been here before." answered Princess Celestia. "Princess Celestia !?" said a voice Twilight and Celestia turned their heads and see a orange girl with black jacket and a red and yellow hair.
"Sunset Shimmer." said Twilight as run to her friends and giving her a hug. "Sunset Shimmer!, What you are doing here?" ask Princess Celestia.
"Well I got suck into some sort of a portal and found myself here then I saw you and Twilight." answered Sunset Shimmer.
Then suddenly they herded a whistle that made Twilight feel that she have herded it before. Then a blue E2 Class tank engine with two orange coaches behind it came of the tracks and stop right next to the girls. Then a blue teenage boy with brown hair, a blue shirt with red stripes, and a red pants with a number one on it's sides, came out form the tank engine's cab.
"Twilight?" said the boy. "Is that you!?"
"Thomas!?" said Twilight as she smiled to see him and gave him a hug. "Thomas!!!, oh it is so good to you again."
"It's good see you too Twilight." said Thomas then he once Sunset Shimmer. "How is your friend here?"
"My name Sunset Shimmer" she said. "Um what is your name and how did you know twilight?" she ask kindly.
"My name Thomas, Thomas Billinton and I have met twilight before long time ago but I'll tell you another time." answered Thomas.
"Where are you heading Thomas?" ask Princess Celestia. "Well I was just heading toward to the next station to take on water" answered Thomas "Would you like a ride to the next station?"
"That is very kind of you, yes we would like a ride to the station." answered Princess Celestia. So the girls went inside the two coaches as Twilight and Sunset went in the cab with Thomas as they set off to the next station.
When they have arrived the girls were eating at a café in the station while Thomas was filling up his engine with water he feel very happy. Suddenly there a woosh and a weesh, and a clickety clack as a streak of silver roared by on the track. "FIZLING FIREBOXES!" said Thomas in shock. "What was that!?"
All over Sodor Thomas' friends were shock and blasted on their tracks. First it flash by Henry "Bubbling boilers!!" he said. And rush by Percy "Bust my engine's Buffers!!" then it zip pass James. "Watch the paintwork!" then it zoomed by Emily who jump and the fright cars bump in on each other. "Trembling Tracks!, Who was that!" then it fly by pass Toby pulling Henrietta. "Gosh!" he cried as he and Henrietta got separated. Then it steamed pass Edward "Slow down speedy!" and finally slip pass Gordon pulling the express. "Will waiter!" he said as he look up ahead to see something silver on the track. Later Thomas, his friends, and the girls were that Knapford they were very puzzled.
"He was big." said James "He was silver." said Gordon "He was very, very fast." said Henry nervously.
"That must mean it's." said Thomas just as a silver streamline engine and a silver man driving the engine. "SPENCER!!" said everybody in disappiontment.
"Hello Sodor!" said Spencer. "What do you know I'm there for the summer."
"Why?" ask Thomas
"I have a very important job to do." answered Spencer. "The Duke and Duchess of Boxford are having a new summer house built, it's as to be finish in time for the Duke and Duchess' holiday, I'm very busy no time to cheat" and Spencer steam smugly away.
"Who was that, Thomas?" asked Twilight.
"That was Spencer" answered Thomas. "He drives the fastest engine in the world, he is also the Duke and Duchess private engineer, but he thinks that nobody is more imported then him, we only have him for one day and it was bad."
"But now for the whole summer." said James "is trouble." said Gordon.
That afternoon Thomas, Twilight, Sunset, Percy, and Pinkie Pie huffing and puffing up Gordon's hill. Then they hear Spencer wooshing and weeshing behind them. "A little more puff and you might make it to the by tea time" he said as move away up the hill. "Bossy showoff!" said Percy crossly.
Next Spencer got up to Rainbow Dash and Gordon with the express. "Out of him way slow poke!" he said whistling at him. "Ag the indignity" said Gordon.
Applejack was with toby who was moving slowly to a junction. Spencer steam along side hooting and tooting. "It looks like that you and your engine are too old to be really useful now toby!" He said "YEAH, don't so mean!" shouted Applejack just then both of the signals turn to green Spencer move ahead just as the for turn to red. Toby and Applejack gasp they were upset they miss their green light.
Edward, James, and Rarity were chuffing happy along. Spencer move in. "Dear oh dear it takes two old engines to one fright car, does it?" he said. "I'm pulling five." and he thunder away. James was so cross he couldn't talk at all.
That night at the hotel next to the engine shed the engineers and the girls can only about Spenser.
"He told Toby that he was too old" said Applejack.
"He's taking over my express line" said Gordon.
"His engine will never have a shining coat like my." said James.
"he'll never have manners" said Edward.
"Spencer's scary" said Fluttershy in fear.
The next Thomas was with Twilight and Sunset at Brendam Docks. He have heavy flatbed of machinery to take. Spencer was there he was being couple up to five flatbeds of building materials "Dear oh dear Thomas." he said "It's just has well the Duke and Duchess don't have a tiny toy tank engine like yours, the summer house will never be finish."
"What do you mean?" ask Thomas
"I mean, Thomas." said Spencer "You just can't pull heavy loads."
Thomas was upset and so were a others these time Spencer have gone to far. "Yes I can, I can just as heavy loads as you." he said. "Yes he can even heavier!" said Twilight. "Thomas' engine is not a toy." said Gordon. "He a really useful engineer!" said Edward. "And he's very strong!" said James.
The Sodor engineers didn't scared Spencer. an idea fly over into his head. "Very well Thomas." he said "Meet tomorrow at dawn at the shunting yards, we will have a contest of strength, we will each pull heavy load and we can see who pull it for longer and for thread." then Spencer steam away.
Thomas was worry. "Bust my engine's buffers I can't do these." he said "Spencer will win the contest of strength."
The other saw that their friend was worry "Your the number one engineer on Sodor." said Percy as he move up. "And you'll show Spencer that Sodor engines are more special than his. I know at because, your best friend." "He's right Thomas we all believed in you." said Twilight
Thomas looks at Twilight and his best friend Percy. They both believed in him. "I will meet Spencer at dawn" he said "And I will win!"
The Race & Great Discovery
Early the next morning in the cold light of dawn Thomas, Twilight, and their friends waited for Spencer. Then, they hear a whistle and a streak of silver engine puffing towards them, it was Spencer. Thomas began to feel worry.
"I can't do this Percy!" Thomas said to Percy
"Yes you can Thomas." said Percy. "You always tell us, "We can do what ever we want to!", SO CAN YOU!"
"Percy is right Thomas." said Sunset. "You can't give up now, your friends are counting on you. And if this makes you feel better I can help as a firewomen. If that is okay with Twilight?"
"Sure Sunset it's okay." said Twilight "And that is very kind of you for helping Thomas."
"Yes thank you Sunset for Helping me." said Thomas "I will try do my very best to win this race!"
Soon the tracks clear for Spencer and Thomas, and both of their engines were couple up to seven heavy loads. Edward move forward between the engines.
"You will each take different tracks around the island." he said. "You will only stop for coal and water."
Then Edward blow his engine's whistle long and hard. THE CONTEST HAVE BEGUN!! Spencer and Thomas' engine's pump their pistons. Thomas move on with heave an ho.
"I can do it! I'll puff for longer! I'll show Spencer that my engine and I really am stronger!" he said with congress. Spencer smile as he slick away.
"I'll show Thomas who's strong and who's weak." he said "He'll come home with a squeak and a creak!"
The engineers and the girls watch and worried including Twilight then the engineers blow their engines' whistles long and stong and the girls cheer.
"GOOD LUCK, THOMAS!" they shouted
Thomas and Spencer puff around the island. They clicky-clack along the tracks. They whoosh though woods and they puff up hill. Spencer steamed and smiled, his engine and race and roared, Thomas puff and chuff, his engine heave and ho.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA,silly little engineer!" said Spencer laughing. "When will he learn?!"
"You can do what ever you want to!" said Thomas "And I want to WIN!" and with that his engine puff faster.
Later Thomas was up a steep slope. His was huffing and breathing and his arm ache. But at last he reach the top.
"Yes, I did it!" cheer Thomas with a relief. But then there was trouble there was a clang and a bang. Sunset was worried.
"Thomas!" she shouted "What's happening?!"
"(gasp) Cinders and Ashes!" gasp Thomas. "I broken my brakes! Hang on tight!, Sunset!"
Thomas' wheels started wear and wobble. He and Sunset flew faster and faster down the hill.
"OH NO OH HELP!!" shouted Thomas as he and Sunset race down one and rattled up the next. "HELP I CAN'T STOP!!
Thomas' heavy freight cars push him and Sunset on and on. through a junction where Spencer was waiting. "BLISTERING BOILERS!" he said in shock as Thomas and Sunset zoom pass him.
Then Thomas and Sunset ran to some south potatoes cars. Potatoes bounce everywhere, But Thomas and Sunset sped on to a flatbed of jelly barrels. As they bump to the flatbed sticky jelly flew in the air and land all over Thomas and Sunset, but still they want on and founded themselves rolling along an old rickety track, ahead Thomas can see a thick wall of bushes.
"Fumbling Fenders!" shouted Thomas "How can I stop?!"
With a dash and a crunch Thomas and Sunset crash into the bushes and they're engine became to a stop.
"Fizzling Fireboxes! That was scary!" said Thomas "Are you ok Sunset?"
"Yeah, I'm alright Thomas." answered Sunset
Thomas and Sunset climbed out of the engine and look around. After the racing and rattling it was very quiet. Then Sunset saw Thomas was looking very angry.
"Is there something wrong Thomas?" she asked
"It's just that Spencer will at the shutting yards" said Thomas "He cheering with pride because he won the contest. And our best friends Percy and Twilight will be wondering where we are. I don't know where we are."
Everything was very quiet Thomas didn't know what to do. Then he and Sunset heard a voice that said "hello".
"Did you hear something Thomas?" asked Sunset
"I shore did!" answered Thomas "Okay let's be very quite and don't move."
So they did and they hardly move. Then they heard the voice again and look around but they couldn't see anyone.
"The voice seem to be coming form the bushes." said Thomas " Follow me."
Very slowly Thomas and Sunset Shimmer walk forward into the bushes. The branches crackled and crunch then suddenly Thomas look up ahead and he gasp and so did Sunset Shimmer their eyes grew wide with wonder.
There on the other side of the bushes was a very old engine and an old gray man with a number 51 on him.
His engine was broken and rusty, Thomas felt scared he and Sunset Shimmer didn't dared speak. Then the old man smile at them, it was little frightened smile, but it made the old man look kind and gentle and it made Thomas feel less scared.
"Hello" said the old man "To bad our engine's brakes failed, does that always happen when you on that hill?"
The old man smiled again, Thomas wanted to smile to but me was scared he don't know when to speak, call for help, or ran away as fast as me can. But Thomas didn't move, he couldn't take his eyes off of this extraordinary engine.
"Hello" said he finally. "My name is Thomas and this is my friends Sunset Shimmer."
The old man signed and said "My name is Hiro."
Thomas wasn't shore what to say next, he never met anyone as old and straight as Hiro. So he ask him "Why are you here, where have you be?"
The old man signed and said "That's a very long story" "Do you like stories Thomas?"
"Yes" Thomas answered "The narrow gauge engineers in the hills have me told me stories all time."
"How about you Sunset Shimmer?" Hiro asked to Sunset Shimmer.
"I shore do." she said "A friend of my have told me stories all about of her adventures."
"Then I hope you two would like my." said Hiro as he begins his story. "I came here a long, long time of another island. I was one of the first steam engineers to arrived on Sodor."
Thomas and Sunset Shimmer were amazed "Where was your island?!" Thomas asked.
"My island is long, long away, away." Hiro said as he viewed his backstory of his home island. "There were mountains, and snow, and seas.
"There were a lots of railways, my engine was the strongest engine at home I was called 'Master of the Railway'!"
"How did you get to Sodor?" asked Sunset Shimmer.
"I came in a very big ship." answered Hiro "The journey lasted many days and we sailed many seas. When I arrived at the docks it didn't look at all like home."
"What was Sodor like back then?" asked Thomas.
"It was very quiet, I was the only engineer on Sodor, they called 'Master of the Railway' like home, I was very happy."
"But what happen?" asked Sunset Shimmer.
Hiro signed sadly and said. "My engine started to break out. The mechanics didn't have parts for me, so I was put in a siding I have to wait for parts form my island, I waited and waited, and now I'm shore that the parts will never come."
Thomas and Sunset's eyes were wide with wonder.
"Do you miss our home?" asked Thomas
"Yes I do." Hiro answered "I also miss being 'Master of the Railway'."
Thomas and Sunset look at their sad new friend they feel sorry for Hiro. Then Thomas have an idea. "I know, I'll go tell Sir Topham Hatt.
"That's a good idea Thomas." said Sunset "Sir Topham Hatt runs our railway now, He'll know how to help you."
"NO, NO!" said Hiro surprised and nervous. "Please don't do that, you seem not tell Sir Topham Hatt!"
Thomas was surprised and also is Sunset Shimmer "Why?" asked Thomas
"Because I have an old engine that cannot be repaired." said Hiro "I know what happen to old engine that cannot be really useful. Their scarp, and seen to the smelters yard."
"That's not fair, That's not right. "said Thomas then he said to Hiro "That can't happen to you!"
"Thomas is right" said Sunset Shimmer "Because you're the 'Masters of the Railway'!"
But Thomas and Sunset Shimmer can see that their new friend, Who was once 'Master o the Railway' was now old, alone, and scared. So Thomas made a decision. "Sunset and I will look after you Hiro. We won't tell Sir Topham Hatt until our engine is fix. Your are safe with us, I'm shore we can find the parts to it, I promise we can make really useful engineer once more, We can make you 'Master of the Railway' again!"
Sunset Shimmer agree to Thomas' idea. Then Hiro smiled the biggest smile he smiled in along long time. "Thank you Thomas and you too Sunset Shimmer. Thank you both for looking after me."
Thomas and Sunset Shimmer smiled with pride.
