Day 2 of watching the monsters, Rainbow and Twilight had decided to bring them all to the park today. It would give the fillies time to run around, go crazy, and have fun, not the kind of thing they would want them doing at the castle.

As they arrived at the park the fillies immediately bolted over to the large playground that was there. It was relatively new, only just being built about a month ago by Applejack, Big Mac, and Pinkie Pie in their spare time. The apple family focused on the actual building, while Pinkie, with her fun child like mind, actually planned out what was to be built and what colts and fillies would want.

The three fillies quickly headed for the seesaws first starting with Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. Twilight simply walked over to a nearby park bench and sat down, happy to have some casual reading time. Princess responsibilities, watching spike, dating Rainbow, and even running a library kept her from just being able to read. She was always busy whether it was signing official documents or Rainbow dragging her out to dinner, not that she minded doing that in the slightest. Either way she can't say her responsibilities weren't wanted either, she wanted something to do, she liked having a task twenty-four seven. It's just the way she was, and if someone offered, she would be all for taking on another task.

After a little while Twilight had managed to get through about two and half chapters of her book up until she heard her name being called.

"Twilight! Hey!" Rainbow shouted.

Twilight lifted her eyes off the page to look for her marefriend. She spotted her across the playground a bit over by the swings and Twilight couldn't help but take notice of it all. Rainbow Dash was over by the swings pushing Scootaloo back and forth, both ponies looking incredibly happy. Twilight simply stared, ignoring Rainbow's words as she watched.

Rainbow Dash pushing Scootaloo on the swings... something about that just seems so.. perfect. Rainbow Dash does like hanging out with Scootaloo a lot, probably because she is pretty childish herself, but in a good way. Always looking to have fun and having a such a large imagination.

Twilight quickly shook herself out of stupor to notice Rainbow still waving towards her.

"Twilight!" she shouted again, this time her face looking slightly more confused at her marefriends inattention to her. Twilight smiled back at her and got up from her seat to walk over.

As she trotted over she smiled at Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle who were on the monkey bars. Apple Bloom took one hoof off to wave at Twilight immediately causing her to fall off, much to the amusement of Sweetie Belle who laughed a bit as she was hanging on beside her.

"Looks like i'm stronger than you after all" Sweetie boasted, hooves still holding on.

Twilight only shook her head while smiling in amusement as she continued on towards Rainbow. As she got to the swings Rainbow pointed to the empty swing beside Scootaloo.

"Hey Twi, you want me to push you?" Rainbow asked with a smile.

Twilight nodded to her happily and sat down beside Scootaloo who grinned at her. Twilight looked back at her with a raised eyebrow Something seems off about her grin, and did Rainbow just grin back at her? Twilight thought. "I'm sure it's nothing" she brushed it off. Rainbow then started to alternate with pushing Twilight as well as Scootaloo the best she could.

It was pretty nice, slowly going back and forth, calming actually. Honestly, it was strange, Rainbow never did things this slowly, maybe she just wants this to be relaxing Twilight considered. That was until the pace quickened and Rainbow started to push harder. Twilight started to take notice and as she did Rainbow put force into a big shove to push her high up.

"Whoa! Rainbow!" Twilight shouted, surprised at her own sudden increase in height. Rainbow simply ignored her and kept pushing her high up back and forth, Twilight yelling "Rainbow! Slow down! Rainbow!" each time she swung. Rainbow also started putting force into Scootaloo's swinging as well until she mirrored Twilight's swinging and her screaming.

Although Scootaloo was screaming out joy. "Whoo! Yeah!" Scootaloo cheered as she turned towards Twilight, she was smiling from ear to ear. Twilight couldn't help but find it infectious and smiled back. The two of them cheered a bit in-between some laughing as they were swung very high up. Scootaloo started to kick her feet for extra momentum, Twilight took notice and decided to do that too. "Whoo!" Twilight shouted. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle even took notice of it and looked up at them from the monkey bars.

"There you go Twilight now you're gettin' into it!" Rainbow shouted, Twilight smiled back at her over her shoulder. Rainbow would deny it to anypony else but that smile could make her heart melt in seconds. Rainbow could see nothing but pure happiness in it. Back and forth they swung, Twilight loving every second of it.

Although she once again found herself getting distracted, it felt like time was slowing down around her. She watched Scootaloo laughing as she went flying back and forth. Probably the closest she could get to flying for the time being Twilight thought. Then she looked over her shoulder at Rainbow who seemed perfectly satisfied with just pushing the two of them. Yet again Twilight found the whole thing perfect, like this was mean't to be this way.

"This seems ideal, almost like... like.. the perfect family Twilight thought, she swore she could feel some goosebumps along her back when she came to the realization.

"Me and Rainbow with a little filly.... she looked at Scootaloo as she swung her legs to go even higher, "it's hard to even describe, but this really does just feel right. I've never really thought about this before, especially since we we're both mares, but adoption is always possible... but then again maybe i'm just thinking too much about it all.."

As Twilight pondered on her thoughts she hardly noticed her swing starting to slow down. Twilight eventually started to pay attention as her swing was mostly slowed down and she saw Rainbow standing in-front of her. As she swung back she noticed Rainbow puckering her lips, Twilight grinned. She kicked her legs forward a bit to give herself some momentum, and was happy to swing forward, forcefully press her lips against her marefriends as she stumbled off the swing. Rainbow staggered back unable to keep her balance and ended up tumbling over with Twilight on top of her, lips still attached of course. After they hit the ground Twilight quickly pulled back to look at Rainbow.

"Oh sorry Rainbow!" she quickly said, only to make Rainbow grin. Rainbow quickly leaned up to give her a peck on the lips with an added "no problem Twi" before getting back up with the help of Twilight. Twilight helped her up with a hoof and turned to face Scootaloo who was trotting over.

"Ew. Why do you two have to kiss so much" she asked, sounding disgusted. Rainbow and Twilight smiled at each other before turning back towards her.

"It will make more sense when you're older Scootaloo-" Twilight explained, only to get cut off by Rainbow wrapping a hoof around her neck and leaning against her, startling Twilight.

"Yeah and when you're older you'll probably be super jealous when you realize I scored a total babe!" Rainbow boasted, making Twilight roll her eyes. Without moving, Twilight's horn lit up, surrounding Rainbow in her purple aura. Without adjusting Rainbow's pose Twilight gently lifted her off from her neck and placed her beside her. Rainbow still in her leaning pose immediately fell on the ground after Twilight's magic dissipated.

Scootaloo chuckled a bit alongside Twilight. "That's for the swings" Twilight said causing Rainbow to jokingly scowl at her. "What? but you ended up liking it" Rainbow argued. Twilight, with a smile, simply turned to walk over to the other two fillies. Rainbow wrapped a hoof around Scootaloo instead this time.

"Well fine then i'll just tell Scoots here a little story, you totally should have seen Twi this one time at the water park she-" "Okay! Okay! truce" Twilight cut her off as she turned back towards them, blushing slightly.

Rainbow laughed as Scootaloo just looked back and forth at them with a puzzled expression. She simply shrugged it off and went to join her other friends. Twilight stomped up to Rainbow to whisper to her.

"Do you really think that story would have been appropriate to tell Scootaloo?" she asked, slightly annoyed.

"Oh come on, it's pretty funny. There I was getting soaked in the pool, wet mane and everything and there you were gawking at me with a pretty sizable wingboner" Rainbow laughed even more as the memory came back to her, making Twilight blush with her own pouty face.

Later than night Twilight once again found herself in position that was almost too good to put into words. Here they were, they had just finished up dinner and everypony was eating or had eaten their desert. They had all settled in by the fireplace while eating ice cream and Twilight decided to read a bit of Daring Doo for everyone, much to the joy of Rainbow Dash. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were on the couch, and all the winged ponies were sitting up against the couch on the floor, Scootaloo next to Rainbow Dash. Everyone was happy to listen to the adventures of Daring Doo as time went by.

After a little while the ice cream was finished and everypony in the room was sleepy. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had decided to conk out early, Apple Bloom and Sweetie both out cold on separate couch cushions. Scootaloo on the other hand had fallen asleep next to Rainbow Dash, and at some point she had apparently laid up next to her and now had her head leaning on Rainbow's shoulder. Rainbow only smiled down at her, and then grimaced a little as she felt something very reminiscent of drool on her shoulder.

Twilight had simply gotten caught in another daze as she just watched. This could be our lives everyday. Bringing our own filly or colt to the park and reading them bed time stories. I couldn't dream of getting to see anything better everynight Twilight thought as she watched the two pegasus cuddled up against the couch.

Is this really something we could handle though... I mean today has been pretty... well... awesome as Rainbow would say but it was a sleepover. Raising our own little colt or filly would definitely not be this easy, plus i'm an alicorn so what if it ends up being a little alicorn. THAT would not be fun, she'd blow the roof off the castle or something.. but would it be worth it? I mean i'm a princess, obviously a busying job and Rainbow's still inching closer and closer to the Wonderbolts. Having a child would definitely slow us down, and I know Rainbow doesn't like to things slow Twilight looked at Rainbow with a frown as she thought about it.

"but it's like they say... it's all worth it. All the hassle and the work is worth it for a child. We'd definitely need to get married first though. Would adoption be our only route? or what if they're is a spell for the two of us to somehow have a genetic child, I wonder what she might look like, maybe she'd be purple and have rainbow hair... or blue with purple hair... she'd probably have Rainbow's pretty eyes... and I wonder who she'd take after. I'm sure she'll love reading, but then i'm sure Rainbow's craziness will rub off on her. So she'll have Rainbow's evil mind for pranks and my intellectual genius to go about them.. she'll be unstoppable" Twilight was smiling the whole time and didn't notice until she giggled audibly at the end of the thoughts.

She looked at Rainbow who was looking back at her with an amused expression. Rainbow's face then slowly morphed from fun to serious as she looked down at Scootaloo. She gently placed her hooves on Scootaloo to slowly push her off as Rainbow slid out of place allowing Scootaloo to lay down where she was just sitting.

Rainbow quietly went up to Twilight, "hey uh.. can I talk to you about something... private... like in the hall maybe.." Rainbow whispered. Twilight looked confused for a second until the implication hit her brain. She then put on best bedroom eyes "oh.. so you're in the mood for some Twilight" she purred, in a somewhat joking tone.

Rainbow, as silently as she could, slapped a face to her hoof and sighed. "No Twi, i'm serious" she whispered again before heading out in the hall. Twilight silently watched her go, her own confusion apparent on her face. She looked back at the sleeping fillies one last time before heading out to meet Rainbow. "Did I really just say 'in the mood for some Twilight"

As Twilight stepped out of the room into the large castle hall she saw no sign of Rainbow, up until she heard the door close behind her. Twilight whipped her head around to see Rainbow who just stood there looking at her, the distress was evident on her face.

"Rainbow what's happening, is it serious?" Twilight asked very nervously. Rainbow picked up on it though and immediately switched gears from serious to happy with a smile.

"No, no! everything is fine Twilight, it's nothing serious.. or well.. it's kinda serious.. but not like a bad dangerous serious" Rainbow tried to explain as Twilight just nodded her head. Rainbow stepped forward to put her hoof on Twilight's shoulder.

"Listen Twi, i've had something that's been bugging me all day today" Rainbow stated. In return Twilight lifted her hoof, opposite of Rainbow's, and put it on her marefriends free shoulder.

"I actually had something to talk about as well Rainbow" Twilight stated, Rainbow looked surprised at the statement.

"Really? oh.... uh do you wanna go first then?" Rainbow asked.

Twilight unsure, but decided to get it over with "I suppose... um.. it's not really anything big. It's just that today I spent a lot of time thinking, thinking about you and Scootaloo" Twilight explained, Rainbow's eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"It's just... you and Scootaloo... the way you two bonded and had fun together... it all just seemed.. perfect. When you were pushing her on the swing and she fell asleep on you're shoulder... I even saw you smile down at her when that happened" Rainbow smiled a little as Twilight continued.

"It's just that it got me thinking... the way we interacted.. me, you and Scootaloo... it all just felt so right. To be honest Rainbow... it felt.... it felt like-"

"We were a family" Rainbow stated, cutting Twilight's rant off by the head. Twilight looked wide eyed at Rainbow, and she simply smiled in return.

"It felt perfect, I played with her during the day, you read her to sleep at night. Seeing you and her on those swings was incredible, it was like everything kinda slowed down while I just took it all in. It's like I never wanted it to end-" Rainbow stopped as Twilight began.

"It felt like a perfect dream, something that felt too good to be true?" Twilight asked, knowing fully that her and Rainbow were on the same page.

"Exactly" Rainbow replied with a nod.

"It was the same for me, when I saw you waving me over while you were pushing Scootaloo on the swings. You both were having so much fun and then you waved me over knowing that I was the only thing that could make it any better" Twilight had already started to get teary eyed at this point. "Quite honestly it felt surreal, like we really were a family. A happy family" Twilight concluded.

Rainbow lightly chuckled a bit "it's funny actually, as you and the girls got ready to go some mare actually came up to me, and you know what she did? She said our daughter was adorable... she thought Scootaloo was our cute little daughter" Rainbow said with a smile, lowering her hoof from Twilight's shoulder.

"It really was incredible to see Rainbow, and i'm actually wondering if.... well.. if maybe we should adopt a child or maybe I can find a spell for us to somehow make one our own, it is plausible." Twilight said, Rainbow only looked at her, the uneasiness clearly present.

"Well, I don't know Twi. This is a big decision, I don't know if we should jump into this right away" Rainbow said.

"Well of course not, i'm not saying we should go pick out a filly tomorrow or anything" Twilight chuckled. "Although I do think it's something to give thought to and really consider. I know we're both busy, I'm a princess and you're hot on your way to being a wonderbolt but-" Twilight was stopped by a pair of lips quickly pressing against hers which quickly pulled away.

"I don't want that to stop us" Rainbow stated sincerely.

"Of course not Rainbow, I don't want that either. As Celestia as my witness, the only future I really see for myself now is one just like I saw today. Me, you, and our very own colt or filly having the time of our lives... together.. as a family" Twilight replied back, Rainbow had now approached Twilight's level of teary eyes. Rainbow leaned forward, as did Twilight, and the two kissed. Both feeling total bliss, now both mentally and physically. After a few seconds the two reluctantly pulled away.

During this Twilight slowly removed her hoof from Rainbow's shoulder, "yeah i'm pretty sure I got Scootaloo's drool all on my hoof" Twilight deadpanned, Rainbow just laughed.

"Seriously though Rainbow, if we do hope to get a filly, then we're definitely going to have to get married first" Twilight stated abruptly, causing Rainbow's eyes to shoot wide open.

"Uh... so.. what? Are you proposing to me?" Rainbow asked.

"Well I think we both know it was going to happen anyways, but to be fair this isn't a proposal. I'm just hinting that somepony should propose to another pony and get it over with" Twilight said with a wink.

"True, but I think that somepony should probably do it right, with and a ring and everything before she.. or he.. proposes"

"Good to hear, because some other pony is really hoping that it's special, not that she could ever doubt the other pony" Twilight finished, and she leaned in for another kiss, but Rainbow pulled back slightly with a hoof inbetween them.

"Or... he" she added in a jokingly serious voice. Twilight only rolled her eyes with a smile, "yeah.. or he..." she said before leaning back in for another kiss, in which Rainbow was happy to oblige.

"Actually.. serious questions.. which would you rather have... a colt or a filly?" Rainbow asked.

Twilight raised a hoof to her chin in thought. "Well, I already sort of raised Spike who's a boy, even though dragons mature much faster than ponies I think I got my fill. I think raising a filly would be nice, well mannered and polite"

Rainbow just raised an eyebrow "well that's gonna contradict mine, I want a colt or filly, doesn't matter to me, but they gotta be strong and passionate. I want a little Wonderbolt in the making" Rainbow chuckled.

"Oh really? so basically you. Do you have any idea how much of a nightmare it will be when she's growing up. I was actually thinking about this earlier. You're chaotic personality with my brains, she would literally be unstoppable. Like if she wanted to date somepony we didn't care for, she'd probably just sneak out of the house, but she'd just teleport to do it or something crazy" Twilight laughed.

"That's true but luckily those are the years where your kid gets sick of you and will do their own thing" Rainbow said, much to the amusement of Twilight.

"Oh so basically that's when our love life can come back?" Twilight asked, jokingly. Rainbow stared at her, almost shocked by her words.

"Wait.. you don't mean.." Rainbow stated numbly.

"Oh yeah, sex is gonna be at a minimum when were busy raising a child" Twilight stated with a grin, almost tauntingly to Rainbow. Rainbow hopped forwards to put both hooves around Twilight's shoulders.

"Whoa whoa! Okay were gonna have to REALLY rethink this"

Twilight laughed as Rainbow chuckled slightly. Not that she didn't want kids but... barely any sex... this kid would be the death of her whoever he or she is.
