Chapter 3 Ascension of Darkness

Darkness, that’s all that greeted the gloomy cave as the water dropped to the floor from stalagmites onto the cold rocky surface. Shiny glistening gems jutting up from the ground, walls and ceiling which reflected the cracks of light that entered the cave. The only thing wrong was…

“Ok is it still following us ah? Yep run, run, run, run!” Shouted Blaze as he and Twilight’s assistant Spike ran up, around and down rocks and crystals as what followed was something odd

“Oh just before you continue let me take over.” Said blaze

“Um ok?” said the narrator

“Right, for all that don’t know I am Blaze Hawk a human or was until I was warped into this world of talking ponies. Yea I know weird but anyway over the years ive spent here fighting the occasional robot or 2 never have I encountered something this evil nothing could prepare me for what came.”

“There how’s that!?” said blaze

“Um fine now let me continue.” Said the narrator

“Yea, yea I’m leaving. Anyway back to… this.”

“Why did I agree to help you?” Shouted Spike as he struggled to keep up

“Hey you get something out of this to you ahh!” Shouted Blaze as his back was struck by a crystal

As they both glanced back they saw a giant, towering Topaz, Crystal with smaller gems that glistened in the darkness floated around it and as it hovered towards them it fired small jagged gems which narrowly missed them by inches.

“Is your wing fixed yet!?” shouted Spike as he glanced at the slowly repairing wing as it sparked and locked up in certain places

“Um computer status report!” Shouted Blaze as he gasped for breath in between his words then a giant growl echoed from behind them that sent shivers down their spines

“Wing is fully operational and is ready to go” responded the computer

“Ok Spike jump on and hold on for dear life!”

“Ok just go!” Just as the words left his mouth; spike grabbed hold they were off darting around rocks until they shot into the beautiful sky and in the distance was a colorful village that was as lively as ever

“Hahaha we made; told you we be fine” said Blaze with a grin

“Sure just lets get back on the ground please” Said Spike gripping for dear life

“Sure let’s go…” said Blaze as he darted to the ground

Later…

As Blaze and Spike walked up the path Spike asked Blaze what the gems where for again. Blaze explained they were needed to power a machine that could make it possible for him to travel back and forth from his world to equestria.

“But they require a high magical source and one of the sources where those Earthen Topaz gems which sadly where guarded by a hulking beast on glass which was not part of the plan or was part of it since we had to break the gems off it’s body so yea.” Explained Blaze as he gestured a hoof in the air and began to dust his metal wings

“Yes I know this means a lot to you but didn’t you say you had something planed for the rest since you haven’t seen them since Tirek attacked which all happened a month ago and we haven’t seen you since.” Said Spike

“Well you say it like i’m a shut-in which I am. Didn’t you recall all those months ago where the only social activity I had with anypony was with Rainbow Dash for Celestia knows how long.” Said Blaze with a disinterested face

“True, but” Spike said before he was interrupted

“But nothing” Blaze interjected “I have a plan and don’t worry it’s a good one.”

“Oh no” said Spike with a gulp

“Hey I make good plans!” said blaze as he narrowed his eyes in Spike’s direction and stomped his hoof

“Sure you do” said Spike rolling his eyes

“Grr whatever I know it’s a good plan because my A.I agreed with me.” Said blaze with a smirk

“Error, Error no memory banks severe this agreement” said the computer

“Great now my a.i is agenst me.” Said Blaze unamused

5 hours later…

As the evening approached and the streets began to become quieter as the minutes went by. Lanterns glowed in the streets and alit the roads whiles leaving the dark corners of the alleys dark and gloomy and the sky started to become doted with stars that shined ever so brightly.

As Blaze walked with a small smile on his face as he hummed to himself a brightly lit castle which was shaped like a tree and made of blue crystals and had purple building formed in the center of the crystal branches; with glistening gems hung from under the castle that glowed in the night began to come into view as Blaze opened the door and began to walk its magnificent halls that shined with crystal pillars and had doors leading to all sorts of rooms.

“Ok now where’s the damn main hall, I mean seriously who makes these castles?” questioned Blaze as he grew more and more annoyed with finding the one particular room until he found what he was looking for.

As Blaze entered 6 other ponies were gathered around a table which showed an entire map of the country and then there attention was brought to Blaze as he walked in.

“Hi Blaze” said Twilight with a smile

“Hi everypony” Said Blaze with a smile as he sat down with them “by the way someone needs to make a map for this place; ive had a more easy time in a maze than this” said Blaze who let out a sigh

“So what’s this all about Blaze?” Asked Applejack

“Well you’ll have to follow to find out” Said Blaze as he got up and began to walk to the door

“Oh is it a surprise type of get together?!” Said Pinkie as she hopped towards Blaze as the rest followed

“Yea and not some lame surprise; like an awesome one” said Rainbow

“Well it’s a small walk and then we will be there” said Blaze as him and the rest started walking off, and as they exited the castle they began to walk into town

“So have you had any luck with the portal?” Asked Twilight

“(Sigh) no not yet; I don’t even know if it will work” said Blaze as his ears drooped

“Well don’t worry we’ll  help however we can” Said Fluttershy

“Yea no matter how long it takes” said Rainbow with a smile

“Thanks it’s just it’s not the portal something has been interfering” said Blaze puzzled

“Interfering?” Said Applejack “what you think could be causing it?”

“I don’t know but if its anything to do with how I got here then side effects could occur. Mainly including mutation, loss of limbs, time displacement, ever lasting life” said blaze before he was interrupted

“Wait mutation?” said Twilight with a shiver

“Don’t worry nothing major but… ah never mind that were here now” said Blaze who shrugged the thought off

As they all stopped in front of the Everfree but not the pathway; instead a part of the great wall which seemed a lot darker than the rest and as the sun sunk lower the shadows of the forest grew bigger.

“Um what are we not doing at the entrance to the Everfree?” Asked Rainbow in confusion

“Wait for it” said Blaze

Just as Blaze said that the trees in front began to twist and hum with magic as a path soon formed in front of them. All but Blaze were amazed at what had just occurred. Well except for Fluttershy who was hiding behind Rarity.

“Oh Fluttershy its fine” Said Rarity reassuring her

Um Blaze what is this? “Asked Twilight unnerved at the sight”

Oh it’s only just begun “Said Blaze with a smirk”

Then they all entered.

Just as they entered the dark forest; as the darkness creped around them lights of all colours stared to glow of neon blues and greens. Humming reds and yellows glowed like intertwining wires. It seemed to be an endless amount of colour agented the bright stars that shone in the moonlight.

“Oooh pretty lights is this the surprise” said Pinkie ecstatically as her eyes grew wider and wider.

“It’s simply extraordinary!” Shouted Rarity as she could not help but dart to one plant to the next almost like pinkie

“Wow is there any animals that glow like this here Blaze?”  Asked Fluttershy as she two scanned the area

“Yes; ive even seen some glow an array of colors” Said Blaze as he walked with his eyes closed and smile on his face; then his eyes opened to twilight nudging him

“So how did you find this place?” Asked Twilight

“Oh well I was out collecting supplies for my creations and then I was out until the sun set then this opened in front of me. But when I checked with my computer he said that this is a mystical place that will only open when the sun sets and the moon rises and will not close until all ponies are completely out.” Explained Blaze; and he went on

“But when ever I left and flew up to see it; it was gone like it was never there.” said blaze

a week ago...

the sun once again began to make its descent as the shadows of objects grew and grew. Blaze as he whistled to himself and continued to walk through the dark shade of the everfree. he then spread his metal wings out wide and flew out of the forest's grasp as he then landed on the other side in one a few seconds. then as the sun finally descended and the moon rose Blaze was then startled out of his daydream as the forest behind him began to twist and grown as bark and vines twisted away reveling in front of Blaze a path that led back into the dark forest but a faint glow could be seen just around the corner.

"ok that's new and now we will now do the "Smart thing" and walk straight into it" said Blaze with a positive look on his face

"are you sure that's a logical idea?" questioned the A.I.

"no but what's the fun in making any sense like Discord said" responded Blaze as he walked back into the not so dark forest...

Flashback over...

“Wow that’s so cool” said Rainbow “so your saying this hidden area can’t be found anywhere else even if dove into the forest were it was?”

“Yea that’s correct” said Blaze

“Hmm I might want to look into this when I get back to the library in the castle” said Twilight

(Snap) “Um what was THAT!!? AHHH” Said Blaze before he fell into a dark pit

“Blaze!!!” Shouted everyone as they all peered down the hole in shock

After falling, thumping off walls and sliding Blaze fell to the solid mossy brick with a (thud)

“Argh just once; that’s all I ask for…” He stopped and looked around at what he saw  

What Blaze saw was a ruined circular room with a pool in the middle; giant statues covered in moss and hardly recognizable were broke and tiled at the room’s edge and the rainbow collared light from the surface gleamed into the room and was reflecting off a silver dish which now looking the room had dishes in all directions and the last pointed at an alter which pointed into the pool but was covered in moss.

“Whoa what is this place?” came Twilight from behind Blaze and the rest followed

“I don’t know but I think those dishes have something to do with it.” Said Blaze looks around in amazement

“Well what are we waiting for” said Rainbow as she began to dust off the one at the alter which was out of place

“Wait we don’t know what it would do” Said Applejack looking concerned

“But we came for a surprise and this adds to the fun” said pinkie in amusement

“Well what can directing silver plates into water do?” Said Blaze “plus if anything happens we can handle it.”

“Um Twilight I don’t think it would be a good idea” Said Fluttershy warily

“It will be fine Fluttershy; we have each other so we can handle it; Ok then let’s see what happens then” Said Twilight

Then as Rainbow redirected the dish the pool ever so slightly began to turn… black as ink.

“Um what?” Said Blaze in confusion

Then as Pinkie and Rainbow got closer the water it began to move towards them.

“NO LOOK OUT!!!” Shouted Blaze as he shoved them into a wall but then the water stuck to Blaze

“AHH Grr ahh it burns!” Said Blaze as he rolled in pain but then the thing grew from his leg to his other then halfway up his stomach “what the fuck!” blaze shouted in pain

“Blaze!!!” Shouted everyone as they ran to him

“Come on hold on Blaze” said Rainbow panicking

“Ahh… no get back” Said Blaze as he shoved them all back

Then the organism grew till his face was all that remained

“Blaze fight it!” Shouted Applejack

“It’s not easy you know it is quite clingy and how do you suppose i fight it! Ahhh Run NOW!!” Shouted Blaze as it fully engulfed him

“Blaze?” said Rainbow looking very scared

Then as Blaze rose with the organism on him; he had the body type of a human; its shirt was grey with darker lines and had light grey trousers which ended in grey shoes. His eyes were red and his hair was white. Then he spoke but his voice was different.

“Well this is… strange; I haven’t had a body in a while but then again it’s not everyday you come across a new one that owns the element I was looking for but.” Said the figure which looked at the six in fascination

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH BLAZE!” Shouted Twilight looking angry

“Oh you mean him oh he’s not here anymore not that it matters for I am Omega and I’ve waited to long for this. Now let me show you what your friend has offered me.” Said Omega as he grinned; then his hand began to glow red as a cape appeared out of thin air with Blaze’s cutie mark and gold shoulder plates on it and strand of his hair turned red “Ah much better I did need more power after all that time locked away. Now then who wants to play a game?”

“What game?” Said Applejack as she readied into a running form

“Oh just THIS!” Said Omega who then shot magical projectiles at them all in a flurry "As you can tell i like to keep introductions short so sit still and die!"

“Everypony run!” Shouted Twilight as they all ran for the exit which seemed to have formed behind them

It was a long corridor which led back to the path and so they ran except for Twilight and Rainbow.

“Go we’ll slow him down!” Shouted Rainbow

“No we’ll help!” Shouted Applejack as she dodged projectiles

“No you help get the rest out; we’ll be fine!” Shouted Twilight as she flew around avoiding the magic bolts

“Ok then good luck” Said Applejack as her and the rest ran for the exit

“Oh fine then let’s see what Magic and Loyalty can do. I mean besides being an energy beacon” Said Omega as he smirked

“We don’t want to fight you Blaze now tell us your still here!” Shouted Rainbow

“Hahaha you still think you can save him, good luck” said Omega who then sent a flurry of attacks at Rainbow, but they were blocked by Twilight using a force field

“Come on Blaze fight this we know you can here us!” Shouted Twilight who was beginning to struggle agenst the attacks

Please… go he’s going to “Said a Blaze in a weak voice”

Then when Rainbow and Twilight let their guard down they were caught in a magical grip. Then they yelled in pain as the elements were drained right out of them.

“Argh no Blaze stop” Yelled Twilight in pain

“Please” said a weak Rainbow

“Hahahaha your friend really screwed you 2 over this time well then congratulations you just lost your power and your life to me. When I’m done with you all the rest will follow the same fate no matter what.” Said Omega with a grin. “That was a very short lived attack but still enjoy your last moments of living.”

Then Omega began to form more strands of colored hair and a gauntlet with twilight’s cutie mark formed on his right ankle. Then last he ripped Blaze’s sword off his belt and replaced it with is own golden blade.

“Much better without that trinket of a sword and now more power means more fun” Said Omega as he began to grin and raise his hand to blast the 2 weak ponies into paste

But before he could continue the attack Omega’s arm began to shake and then the rest of his body began to shake.

“Hurry… run I can’t… hold him for long” Said Blaze as he struggled to keep a hold

“No let me go!” Shouted Omega as he tried you gain control

“Blaze” said twilight with a worried expression”  

“I’m sorry Twilight just keep him from gaining the rest of the elements now… GO!” Shouted Blaze as began to struggle even more

“Do not worry we’ll find a way to save you” said Rainbow as she grabbed Blaze’s sword then her and Twilight flew for the exit

“Grr this is not over!” Shouted Omega as his voice echoed around them

As Rainbow and Twilight reached the end off the Everfree they fell due to still being weak from getting their elements stolen but as they looked at the forest the entrance was gone as the sun rose above the horizon and the light started to creep into the world. But the world felt darker.

Later that day…

“Hmm now what?” Thought Omega “let’s see I need to get out of this forest… THAT’S IT! I can wait for the path to reopen then the fun can begin.”

“What…are you…planning Omega?” said Blaze in his head

“Well look around my head you’re bound to find the answer” said Omega smiling at the dark forest as everything was silent; not a single sound could be heard as the air grew colder.

“So you mean to tell me, there is no way for us to save Blaze and he’s coming to take all of our elements!” Shouted Applejack

All 6 of them lay there in the castle as they pondered on what to do next.

“Yes and no I haven’t found a way yet but right now we need a plan to stop him” said Twilight

“Yes but what can we do darling?” said Rarity

“We fight” said Rainbow as all eyes turned to her “look I’m not good at this inspirational speech thing but I know Blaze would want us to fight and if we don’t many ponies will be hurt. Plus we have his sword which can take anything down.”

“Yes but I don’t think we can beat him with brut force” said Applejack

“Oh I know we can prank him” said Pinkie with a smile

“I don’t think that would be good idea pinkie” said Twilight with a “really” look

“No, no, no we trick him into to chasing us we could tire him out and get him” said pinkie as she banged her hooves together

“Um wow that actually might work” said twilight in surprise

“Yea will show Omega what for” said Applejack who was confident in the plan

“Alright um I’ll help however I can” said Fluttershy

“For Blaze” said Twilight who then outstretched a hoof then the rest joined in unison “for Blaze!”

As the path out to the Everfree grew Omega began to walk out with a smirk on his face then 2 tattered wings appeared on his back and then he was off towards Ponyville…

“Elements of Harmony here I come”

"Ugh i just got a cringe vibe" said Blaze weakly

4 hours later…

It was later in the day they planned to go through with the plan of stopping Omega and saving their friend. Now that the plan was set Rainbow waited at the edge of town.

“Hey Omega come and get me you freak!” Shouted Rainbow has she had a makeshift Holster for Blaze’s sword

Instantly Omega was in front of Rainbow with a grin

“So the hero returns for round 2” said Omega as he smiled “hold still and I’ll make it quick.”

“Come get me then” said Rainbow with a smirk and with that she flew off”

“Huh fine then it’s not like i’m pressed for time” said Omega as his wings appeared and he followed rainbow right into the plan

Just as he was about to catch up with her a flash of light blinded him and he yelled in pain then looked toward the ground to see rarity and then he grinned and flew towards her but she quickly moved and soon Omega followed.

Then as rarity rounded a corner he was greeted with pinkie balancing her self on a ball with a grin.

“Hahaha your fun try to catch me” said pinkie as she jumped on Omega’s head and ran

“Grr stand still” Omega growled

Then they were both out in the open but before Omega could grab Pinkie she was gone then behind him, then in front and then she just was showing up everywhere.

“How, how is this even possible?” Said Omega baffled but then grinned as he caught her off guard “got you!”

“Aww no fair” said Pinkie looking down then she was in discomfort as her element was also taken

Then another gauntlet appeared on Omega’s arm and then green was added to his hair and then laughed.

“Really was this you plan ha” laughed Omega who then felt a strong burst of magic at his side but it did nothing but made him smile more

“Hello”

Then he dropped the earth pony and teleported behind rarity and absorbed her magic also.

“No” said Rarity as she also was dropped to the ground

“Yes well next time you may want to try a more practical approach instead of trying to tire me out” said Omega as another gauntlet appeared on his left leg and another color was added to his hair”

“But…” said rarity before she was interrupted

“How” Omega interjected “well as I was making my way here I saw you were all darting around the place so I knew instead of fighting you would try to tire me out so I pretended to only show up later.”

“So what now I mean…Argh!” Said Omega as he was struck in the back by 2 hooves from Applejack which sent him flying into the dirt

“You back off from her omega!” Shouted Applejack as her, rainbow and Fluttershy followed

“Wait where’s Twilight?” Said Fluttershy

“Oh right here” said Omega as he clicked his fingers and twilight appeared shaking and struggled to stand

“Twilight!” Shouted Rainbow as she put a wing over her friend to balance her

“What did you do?” Said Rarity growling at Omega

“Oh nothing I just saw a lonely pony and helped her have fun by just blasting her around like leaf in the wind” said Omega as he smiled then he clicked his figures again making all but Applejack and Fluttershy disappear

“Wait where’d you send them!?” said Applejack angrily

Omega then pointed at the castle in the distance “you have 1 hour to bring me your elements in exchange for your friends or else… goodbye” said Omega in a serious voice as he to faded into the darkness and air fell silent

“Fluttershy we have to tell Celestia now!” Said Applejack as Fluttershy followed her in the direction of the train station

“But what are we going to do?” Asked Fluttershy

“I don’t know but we’ll see” said Applejack as they ran into the sleeping town as the night sky seemed to grow darker than ever before…

40 minutes later…

In the moonlight a magnificent castle of white and gold with spires that towered into the sky came into view and as the castle sat apon the cliff a most breathtaking waterfall streamed down the mountain’s side and into a lake which split into different sections that either led to a pool or off the cliff to form another waterfall.

As Applejack and Fluttershy ran through the palace the eventually entered the great hall and at the end 2 thrones lay both had banners above them; 1 of the moon and the other the sun and sitting on the sun throne was a white Alicorn, bigger than any other pony and its mane shined green, blue, purple and pink. As she pondered her magenta gaze fell apon Applejack and Fluttershy and she spoke.

“Omega… I never thought I would here that name in a long time” said Celestia unnerved by the thought

“Wait you knew Omega; but who is he?” asked Fluttershy in surprise

“Yes; he was actually 1 of the first holders of an element of harmony” said Celestia

“You mean he owned” Said Applejack before saying wearily “Inspiration”

“Yes” said Celestia who closed her eyes and continued “one day he found something that told him it could help fix this world, make it whole again and required the other elements but when I refused he tried to take them by force but Omega was defeated and before he left he said”

“One of these days the Elements will be mine; you’ll see Celestia”

“After that he ventured to the Everfree and was never heard from again” said Celestia opening her eyes again to face the 2 ponies

“But what can we do princess; if he give up he wins if we don’t our friends” said Applejack trailing off at the thought of what might befall her friends

“Well as far as I know if I show up he would begin going back on that deal so I can’t help sorry” said the princess who then said “I can give you time to think of what to do and then I can warp you both back to Ponyville but then the rest is up to you”

“But what can we do?” Asked Fluttershy

“Well I’m sure that if any of your friends have taught you 2 anything is that even if there’s no guarantee of winning but you keep going to the bitter end, no matter what” said Celestia before walking down a separate hall before saying “you have 10 minutes I know that whatever you 2 decide to do will end in good intentions”

10 mins later…

As the night continued to stretch endlessly a bright light flashed; illuminating the houses surrounding the are and after subsiding Applejack and Fluttershy stood there. After they talked over what they were planning they ran as fast as they could towards the castle and with every step the air grew heavy but just as they crossed over the hill at the end of the village they saw the castle and saw on top of  the large opening was some sort of machine and 4 orbs which most likely contained their friends.

As they reached the balcony they were met with the 4 orbs which showed their friends in fear and Omega himself grinning as he spoke.

“So you came; I was beginning to doubt you would come. But now that you are here a deal’s a deal” said Omega who’s grin never seemed to fade as he began to drain Applejack and Fluttershy’s magic as they groaned in pain  they fell to the ground.

And with the click of his fingers the others were released.

“Now you can all be the first to witness your world become nothing but ash and dust in the wind” as Omega said this he began to walk towards the machine which looked like 2 black spikes that jutted into a point at the top and at the bottom 7 smaller spikes waited to be energized and end the world became ever so near until Applejack began to laugh softly.

“I guess you never heard Blaze say anything about it” said Applejack as her and the rest grinned as they got to their feet

“What could you possibly” said Omega before a voice in his head cut him off

“Ha…ha…ha Hey Omega ever heard of Rainbow Power?” said a weak Blaze

“What rainbow power?” Asked Omega then his eyes grew wide with rage “no, no, NO THIS CAN’T BE!” said Omega for once angry and baffled

“Alright girls lets give him something he’s never seen before!” shouted Twilight as her and the rest began to glow and then a bright light broke through the night and then as it died down the mane 6 changed as they all smiled down at the smiling Omega

“Well then I guess now I won’t feel bad about crushing all of you; ok then show me what 6 girls and a pathetic excuse of a weapon can do!” Shouted Omega as his golden sword appeared and he readied into a stance

“Alright then” said Rainbow “let’s dance!”

Omega then warped in front of the 6 and began slashing is blade with brute force but missed as they scattered then as Twilight appeared she and rarity began blasting magic bolts towards Omega but where easily blocked with is sword as he deflected the shots.

Omega then back flipped to avoid a slash from Rainbow who darted around trying to clip Omega with Blaze’s sword and then the both clashed and sparks flew.

“You aren’t worthy of that blade you wretched pony” Grunted Omega as he began to push forward but they both broke off

Then 2 hooves from Applejack smashed into Omega’s back as he was sent back a few feet; he then plunged his sword into the ground to stop himself as Pinkie appeared in front of him.

Omega then brought his sword down on nothing; as Pinkie appeared behind him and again he missed as somehow she just seemed to avoid his attacks in the blink of an eye.

“Haha you have to try harder than that silly” said Pinkie with a cocky smile

“Grr stand still you ahh!” said Omega as he was struck in the back by Twilight’s magic bolt as it burned into Omega’s cape

Then as Omega looked around the balcony; burn marks scorched the walls and slash marks were visible in the floor but there was no sign of the 6 until Omega looked outwards to the town and saw them all surrounded by a globe of energy.

“Omega will now show you the most powerful magic of all!” shouted Twilight

Then a beam of Rainbow light shot towards Omega; as he began to block it with his hand he began to bombard it with his own magic which began to push the multi-colored light back. Then Omega’s concentration began to dwindle as he began to quiver.

“This is… for possessing…me you freak” said Blaze as Omega swore he could imagine seeing Blaze smirking

Then the beam of light encase Omega as he yelled

“No dammit Noooo!” shouted Omega as an explosion engulfed him…

As the dust settled Omega’s crippled body lay there unconscious as the 6 approached him

“Yes we did it; we finally defeated Omega!” said Twilight looking happy as the rest of her friends also smiled

“Yea but how do we free Blaze?” asked Fluttershy

“I don’t know but I’m sure the princess… (Click) huh?” said Twilight before a clicking sound interrupted her and all of them were held in the air as laughter filled the air

“Hahahaha you really think you beat me; not yet you all still have something I require” said Omega as his hands began to glow

“No!” shouted Rarity

The 6 watched in horror as their magic was then absorbed by Omega; their rainbow power faded into nothing as they all dropped to the ground and watched as a black entity began to reject itself from omega as it hit the wall with a thud and then Omega spoke.

“Now bare witness to me; Master Omega, the key to this worlds end!” shouted Omega as then levitated the entity by the wall and held it in place as its eyes opened.

“Good to see my puppet awake for the reckoning; Blaze the so called hero left to watch this” said Omega he turned

He then lifted Twilight and blasted her straight in the face with a magic bolt sending her sliding across the floor. He then grabbed Fluttershy and Rarity and slammed their heads together and threw them into the same wall where Blaze was held watching in horror as his friends were brutally beaten.

“Stop this you bastard!” shouted Blaze as he strained agenst the magic restraints to break them but to no avail.

Omega than picked up Pinkie and spun her like a turbine a rolled her into twilight and the rest with a crash. Then he lightly threw Applejack into the air a brought his leg out connecting it with her side as she let out a gasp of air as she dropped to the ground.

“Now for you” said Omega as he grabbed Rainbow Dash in his hand and wrenched the Blade still grasped between her hooves and chucked it towards the others then he smirked.

“Now you have been a thorn in my side of a while now so it’s only fitting” he then repetitively punched her in the gut. Then with I final blow rainbow was sent sliding across the floor towards the rest as she chocked up blood.

“Now that’s that out of the way, let the fires consume this world and from the ashes it can begin anew” said Omega as he walked over to the machine and began to channel his energy into the spikes as the machine began to hum to life.

Then a sharp pain shot from Omega’s left cheek as a black blade striking the name “Vengeance” shot passed his face and jammed itself into the machine as it sparked and hissed.

“No this can’t be!” shouted Omega as he turned to see Blaze standing with his Black blade in hand as Omega turned but was met with a cloud of black smoke.

He then turned, coughing and faced Blaze, Blaze’s face was different, instead of his normal cocky smile Omega saw nothing but anger and hate; Blaze’s eye borrowed deep into Omega’s as he spoke.

You used me to hurt my friends, you then tried to destroy this world; I don’t know what happened in your past but I’m not going to let it affect the world now. That and when I’m done nothing will be left.

“Quite bold words coming from a weak human; plus if they couldn’t stop me how could you possibly be any different, your no hero” said Omega looking very cocky as he said this.

“Because I’m not letting my actions be the death of others and if there’s one thing I know its how to get reckless. so how bout it you and me. We end this right here and prove who’s right?” Said Blaze as a small smile began to form on his face.

“Fine then we end it here puppet” said Omega as his golden blade appeared in his left hand and stood unblinkingly at Blaze

“Blaze is that you?” asked Twilight, confusion on her face

“Yea I’m not much to look at hehe” said Blaze as he lifted his other blade and walked away from the rest before adding “if all else fails, Twilight you know what to do so prepare for it and I know I can trust all of you”

“Alright now then Blaze lets finish this” said Omega

“Right then” said Blaze as he held his 2 blades at either side of him “let’s dance!”

“Here we go; no games this is a fight to the death; that’s right I’m going to kill him” thought Blaze as he charged forward

As Blaze swung his blades towards Omega he was gone and a sharp pain erupted up his leg as a blade sliced the back of his right leg. Blaze then quickly spun and connected 2 blades with Omega’s golden blade as they both fought for the upper hand.

Blaze then brought vengeance around towards Omega’s side but missed and noticed he was floating in the air as Blaze was sent flying into a pillar with a crack as he yelled in pain and fell to the floor.

“Ok that’s just not fair” thought Blaze as he gritted his teeth agenst the pain and stood; he then holstered his blade “vengeance” and readied his main sword which seemed heavier than usual.

Omega then fired a volley of blasts towards Blaze; Blaze then slashed away at some of the attack but a few where to fast and his body was already beaten and broken as 3 blasts hit him and sent him flying across the balcony.

“Just give up you can’t win. Oof” said Omega as he was punched across the face with Blaze’s slightly broken arm; Blaze then spun and brought his blade spinning round as it crashed into omega’s wrist  sending the golden blade flying

“No you ahh!” said Omega as his chest had a new diagonal slash running across it then Omega was sent flying into a wall by a metal leg and then he  impacted the wall with a thud.

“How’s…that you freak” said Blaze as he grunted agensted the pain in his left arm and leg but he then noticed a black hand grab his face as his head was sent into the ground and he dropped his blade.

Blaze tried to find it but he heard it being kicked away as he felt a fist connect with his stomach as a muffled gasp escaped his mouth.

His vision was then nothing but red as his face heated up and Blaze was sent flying across the ground as he hit a wall due to Omega’s attack.

“Now it time to end this, I may not have my machine but I can at least end all of you at the same time” said Omega as his fists began to glow red and the area glowed with it.

“Alright everypony we need to channel our elements directly at Blaze” said Twilight as she got to her feet

“Wait what that means were going to hurt Blaze also, I mean you saw what happened when we used it on Omega” said Rainbow in surprise

“No trust me, me and Blaze both know what were doing and he told me before that if any of you doubted this he said to trust him no matter what” said Twilight with a smile “and I trust him to win”

As they all pondered they looked over at Blaze who was staring back giving them all a smile that said “I know you all can do this”

“Alright were in” said Applejack as her and the rest nodded in unison

They then readied to channel them, they all began to glow magnificent colors as beams of all colors darted towards Blaze as he channeled their energy into himself. He then fell to his hands and knees as he absorbed the last of the energy.  

“Blaze drop it, it’s too much!” shouted Twilight who began to panic

“I would listen; your body can’t handle that amount of power, so give up and except your fate!” said Omega has he began to ready his attack

“Come on I can do this” thought Blaze then with a flash of light the energy dispersed around his right arm in a sight of all colors; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. He then weakly stood and grabbed his sword which gained a faint glow off the colors as he stood facing Omega but didn’t move an inch as all over his body tiny particles burned off his body.

“Ha your body is actually chipping away at itself, now… DIE!” shouted Omega as a beam of red shot its way towards all 7 of them but as it connected with Blaze it was halted as Blaze held his blade up agenst the force of the attack as he slid back and struggled to hold the line as the energy whiplashed around Blaze in red wispy lines

“Alright…I’ll show.. You what a human can do” said Blaze as he push forward and swung his blade faster and faster as he began to chop his way forward with every swing. “Even faster” thought Blaze

“What but how?!” shouted Omega as he increased the strength of the blast

As Blaze continued to swing and every swing became weaker and weaker his blade glowed completely red as he slashed forward a red wave of energy shot out from the blade bringing down the blast completely. Everyone was confused and surprised by this as Blaze shook it off he ran towards Omega who brought his Blade down as well. Then they were both once again fighting for the upper hand but  Omega saw the smile on Blaze’s face as he noticed his golden blade was being held firmly by the multicolored hand and before he knew it a red wave of energy engulfed him sending Omega flying at the speed of sound through a wall with a yell of pain that soon died with Omega as he was gone.

As Blaze stumbled back he extinguished his glowing arm and the particles coming off his body disappeared, the rest came over.

“That was amazing, no, wait I thought you said you would stop if it did that!” said Twilight who had a look of annoyance

“Hey it worked didn’t it besides it’s over now” said Blaze holding his hands up defensibly and then he looked at himself with a smile “I can’t believe i’m my normal self again”

“Yea but how’s that possible?” asked Applejack

“I don’t know but still i...” said Blaze but he then stumbled forward then he saw it, a golden blade was shoved through his chest as blood soon started dripping out from around the blade.

Then Blaze looked at the others, his eyes in utter terror as he trembled the words “um I feel… cold (cough, cough)” said Blaze as he the blade slammed onto a nearby pillar which caused Blaze to let out a gasp as he  coughed up blood followed by more blood oozing from the wound in his chest as he stood their staring at the blade not a word escaped his mouth until he looked up and saw Omega broken and burned; his hair singed and out of place and dragging his left leg behind him as he limped towards the others with a red scar burned into his face.

“You, all of you are going to die before this night’s done” said Omega as he stared daggers at the rest; as he lifted his arm and it began to glow “no one can save you now and you can stick around Blaze for the show”

As Blaze stood their he thought “so this is it game over”

“Are you giving up, tell me are you giving up?” came a voice

“No i’m just accepting fate” responded Blaze still in utter terror and defeat as he bled out staring at the floor

“So you are giving up, so all those other times you fought where what a joke?” came the voice from an unknown location

As Blaze looked around time seemed to slow as he thought to himself about how he would never get back home, never actually feel the warm air on his face or the cool grass on his back as he laid in the same tree he would normally relax in back in his own world. Never admit the truth…

“You have fought for your friends for so many years and have you ever once given up on hope no matter how slim?” asked the voice as Blaze search around for it

“Fight Blaze, show him what a pony, a person can do and what it means to do something crazy” said the voice as it faded

“Hehe Alright then if i’m dying, its not here; I’ll show him how reckless a fucking person like me can get” Said Blaze as he smiled

He then grit his teeth and slowly pushed his way up the blade as the pain flared and his breathing became more ragged he then saw his own sitting their on the ground and moved towards it. As he continued to move up the blade he saw Omega beginning to say his goodbyes to the mane 6.

“Sorry but only 1 can remain; see you in Tartarus” said Omega as he grinned

Then Blaze yelled with all his might as he threw himself off the blade and ran towards his blade then darted at Omega as he yelled again with all the power left in his lungs.

“Omega!!!” shouted Blaze then as Omega turned around a Black and red blade pierced his chest as he gasped “if I’m dying your coming with me!” shouted blaze as he pulled the blade out of omega’s chest, as red wispy smoke left the hole that was made he managed to say his final words.

“No… not possible…” said Omega as he disappeared in a cloud of red wispy smoke and as he faded the elements stolen returned to the 7 in a glow and then his blade clattered to the ground and the air fell silent

“Well that was…stupid and painful, ugh” said Blaze as he fell agenst a pillar as continued to bleed out

“No!” shouted Rainbow as she ran over and tried to stop the bleeding and rest circled around them

“Twilight can’t you heal this?” said Rainbow who her and rest tried to hold back on breaking down. Twilight just closed her eyes and shook her head.

“No she can’t do anything I’m long past any help now” said Blaze as his face grew pale

“No you can’t” said Rainbow holding back tears

“Still is there anything we can do?” said Rarity with a sad expression

“No, but anyway I don’t expect you to cry Rainbow; you know the “bravest and coolest pony ever” or at least that what I heard hehehe (cough, cough)” said Blaze who smirk a tiny bit as tears fell down his face

“I need to say at least one thing and that’s thank you all of you; you have all given color in my once boring life and have given me something I never realized I had. Friends and so that were never apart, Rainbow here” Blaze then held his sword out to Rainbow who took it

“Continue my fight no matter what… please” said Blaze

“I will, I promise” said Rainbow as a small smile grew on her face two

“I’m sorry that you couldn’t even return home; now anyone who knew you won’t even know what happened to you; sorry Blaze” said Twilight as her ears drooped

“No I… I am home and my friends do know what happened to me and I’m glad they do” said Blaze as he smiled

As Blaze’s hand weakly fell; rainbow then grabbed it and tightened her grip around it as a tears fell on his hand. As Blaze tightened his grip all 5 of them layed their hooves on Blaze’s hand as he said

“Hehe the stars look so beautiful tonight… so beautiful…” said Blaze as he closed his eyes and let out one word “goodbye”

“Well then… it’s.. It’s over” said Twilight as she just stared at Blaze uttering not a single word

“Yea I guess the right thing to do is let everypony remember what Blaze did; he was a hero, whether he likes being called that or not” said Applejack lowering her hat

“No he was our friend and my best friend” said Rainbow as she held the blade in front of her as a thought shot through her head “its not over!” shouted Rainbow as she flew upwards as a rift opened up in front of what remained of Omega’s machine, then Twilight was sucked in and it closed

“Twilight!” shouted everypony for where their friend ended up was beyond what they know…

“Ahhhh oof ow” said Twilight as she got to her feet and looked around the grey but illuminating room that stretched endlessly

“I've only been here for 10mins and already a wonder why its felt like 10 years then again deciding weather I should go to Olympus or Tartarus must be difficult” said Omega or an transparent Omega as he stare at Twilight

“What Omega but how?” said Twilight surprised “wait answer me this; why?”

“Well i guess you deserve an answer; long ago I thought that a machine could help me but I was mistaken; it knew far too much and got rid of me” explained Omega

“But why attack us and why… why kill Blaze” said Twilight as she chocked on the last 2 words

“Because if I could destroy this world he would have nothing left to work from but it seems that it would not be the case mainly to do with all of you getting in the way which ultimately meant my end in this place” said Omega as he looked around the endless room

“But where are we exactly?” Asked Twilight

“Well it looks like you were sucked into limbo the borderline between the living and the dead only long term effects can kill you so you best move out of the way so I can return thank you” said Omega as he made a few steps towards Twilight

Twilight then looked behind her and saw a portal back “i’m not letting back thought and you won’t stop me”

“Oh really well then I’ll just blast you out of the way” said Omega as he charged his attack again

“Great what can I do now even my rainbow power can’t stop that” thought Twilight

“Yes you can just give me time” came a voice; as Twilight opened her eyes she saw another transparent figure, this one was Blaze

“Blaze; but what are you going to do?” asked Twilight

“Can you trust me one last time?” asked Blaze

“Ye, yes i can” said Twilight with a determined smile

“Alright then attack, then on my mark hit him ok” said Blaze

“Ok Blaze lets end this together!” said Twilight

“Together”

“Say goodbye” said Omega as he fired his attack towards Twilight as she sent a purple beam back a held back the red beam

Then as Omega started to gain the upper hand a fist smashed into his face as he was punched repeatedly and then was held in a lock from behind from Blaze

“Ga no what are you doing?!” shouted Omega as he tried to break the lock

“Finishing what we started, NOW TWILIGHT!” shouted Blaze

“Ok ah!” Twilight then shot a purple beam which pierced both Omega and Blaze and as the purple light faded Blaze pushed Omega off him.

Then as Omega fell to his knees he said to Blaze with a look of defeat as his body began to disappear “well played Blaze well played…” and with that he was gone

“Blaze!” Shouted Twilight “why didn’t you tell me he would disappear now you’re going to disappear too”

“Because then you wouldn’t do it knowing I would permanently die” said blaze

“What now, I couldn’t save you now I can’t save your soul” said Twilight who began to except defeat as she lowered her head but then a near invisible hand raised it up

“You did do something; you helped me set my wrongs right again and I cant ever thank you enough for that” said Blaze with a smile as his legs completely disappeared “ well died twice today; I think I hate Mondays now hehe” said Blaze who laughed slightly

“Only you could laugh at this” said Twilight who smiled a bit

“you and all the rest our my friends and I thank you all for all the fun memories ive had so please spare me the tears I hate it when people or ponies do that” said Blaze rolling his eyes

“I think its time for you to go before you die also” said Blaze as 2 purple hooves wrapped around him and squeezed tightly; Blaze then returned the jester

“Goodbye blaze my best friend” said Twilight as she unhooked him and turned away as she walked towards the portal; she then looked back on final time to see Blaze standing there with a smile on his face and as she walked through Blaze uttered these final words to her

“Goodbye Twilight my friend, till we meet again” as with that he disappeared…

LATER…

So as the sun rose above the mountains the village below came to life once more as some spoke of what happened last night and some not even realizing what happened and some just ignored it and went about their business. But 6 ponies never forgot and continued as normal never forgetting what their friend had done and know that he has made them stronger for his sacrifice; for his friends. But all what not set and done as a shadow perch itself on a house hiding in the shadows.

“Leaves fall from trees, life ends to begin anew and death is only the beginning” Came a voice as the shadow disappeared and joker cards lay where it last stood…

Even if my back is agenst the wall and all hope for victory is slim and the shadows creep in from all corners there is always the light at the end of the road to guide me.
