Chapter 11: Act 2

Game Over

As the fire below bubbled and hissed, its orange glow brought light upon the shadows that danced on the cave walls. Blaze and Serafin stood their ground as the Endermare vanished before their eyes. The battle had begun.

“Serafin, keep on guard, she could show up anywhere!” Blaze warned as he held his blade high as Serafin gripped her in her magic

“Understood,” She responded as the roars echo around them

“You are all going to die down here, no one will remember you as saviours,” The Endermare hissed “All they will remember you for is failures,”

She appeared behind Serafin as she blocked with her blade as a jagged hoof came down, she then saw 2 translucent-purple claws strike her back as she winced.

She shot a pillar of fire on her as they backed away along with their master, The Endermare swooped around and brought 2 back hooves on Serafin as she skidded to a halt.

Blaze ran up and began to swing at the teleporting mob as she swung her translucent arms at him as they bounced off his armour but stung. Blaze leaped away as several purple spikes jutted from the ground.

Serafin ran up and stomped a hoof as her horn glowed and fired off 3 fire balls as they incinerated her spikes. Then she vanished again.

“You failed to save the one you care so much for and failed your kingdom,” The Endermare echoed as Serafin stopped and bit back guilt as claws smashed into her side sending her flying

“Serafin! Are you all right!?” Blaze shouted as she got to her hooves and nodded

“You failed to protect your friends from not only Loki but Neckros, but I can’t blame you, they are very deceiving,” she whispered as Blaze grit his teeth

“Oh please, your fake ego is nothing to me, I know everything about you, your victories, your failures, your regrets, I. SEE. YOU!” She hissed as Blaze stopped and drooped his head as Serafin watched his blade drop and the Monster appear

“No, don’t let her get to you,” Serafin pleaded as another claw grabbed her and smashed her into the ground as she slashed it away

“I know your pain, your happiness, I can understand how much you’ve been through,” The Endermare spoke as he just sat there in defeat

“They say words can’t break bones, but overtime they break the spirit, the mind, the very being,” She continued “Let me do what no one can do for you, let me end your pain,”

Blaze just sat on the stone, unmoving, never had he felt so broken, not since that day when ‘He’ broke through. The air was cold, the fire seemed to dim.

“Your right,” Blaze finally spoke as the Endermare’s grin grew “Few know that about me, heck not even my closest friends…”

*SHINK*

The Endermare’s eyes twitched and grew as the blue sword dug into her chest as Blaze stood smiling as his hand kept its grip.

“But I’ll live with the guilt and pain, if that means they can live a happy life, all the people I care about, that’s fine by me,” He finished as she tried to reach out and grab him but Blaze pulled back and she stumbled off the edge

“ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!” She screeched in agony as she vanished beneath the waves of fire, it was over

“Blaze?” Serafin asked as she approached him with a frown still present on her face as he smirked

“What? I had to do something to get her close,” Blaze defended as Serafin just shook her head as Blaze got up and put a hoof on her shoulder “You’ll get used to it,”

She nodded as they approached the portal as it hummed slowly as Serafin stared uneasy at it. She then felt a hoof grab her.

“It might be a bit much at first but, do you trust me?” Blaze asked as he smiled happily as she smirked and slowly followed him through the vortex as the blocky world soon disappeared

*Location: Ponyville, 1 Month Later*

It had been a whole month since Blaze was dragged through the portal by the Endermare and things had been slow for his friends as they went about their day in a less gloomy state, except from Dash.

“You really need to lighten up Dashie!” Pinkie chirped as Dash smiled slightly

“Sorry Pinks, I just hate remembering that today is a month since then,” Dash commented as she frowned as Twilight ran right in front of them as they jumped

“Geez, Twi, do you have to jump out at us like that?!” Dash snapped as Twilight catched her breath

“Sorry, magic surge, just ahead, need you both,” She sputtered out as they just followed the crazed alicorn into town

They ran towards the center of town as they heard arguing and one voice sounded very familiar as Dash flew past them and saw a peach unicorn with a golden mane and golden armour arguing with a half pony, half cyborg in cyan armour as ponies just watched.

“You could have warned me about how bright it is,” Serafin complained as she eyes began to adjust

“Says the goddess that sat in lava for so many years!” Blaze argued back as she just huffed with smoke coming out her nose

“Whatever, I’ll get used to it, like you said,” She finished as Blaze smiled in agreement

“Blaze!” Dash called out as he looked in her direction and smiled even more brighter as her happy face soon turned to fear as his eyes shot open

“Serafin get down!!!” Blaze yelled as he tackled her away from the purple spikes as they rolled but gain they footing and saw what could only be described as horrifying

The Endermare stood with a smoldered eye and left leg as her hair smoked as it burned with fire still, her one good eye glared at Blaze as she roared in pure Hatred.

“I’ll bloody kill you!!!” She screamed as she fired off more claws towards them as Blaze felt his diamond sword on his side a quickly brought it out "If you think that i'll let my plans die here then you are a fool!!!"

"Well then you clearly don't know me!" Blaze countered as she let out another roar

Serafin did the same and raised a golden shield as the hands reflected off it but turned back to attack as Blaze leaped out and began to slash away at them in the air, his metal wings spread wide.

“Feels good to be back!” He shouted in glee as he looked the Endermare straight in the eye “Now, time to finish this!”

He flew forward as she casted another wave of claws as Blaze began to cut his way through, Serafin came up behind her as she dodged her and casted more spikes as Serafin rolled away and casted fire on herself as she began to throw punches towards the Endermare as she kicked her away before casting more spikes.

Blaze teleported behind her as he spun around and kicked her in the back of the head as she fell forward and then met two back hooves to her jaw from Serafin back flipping.

She stumbled back as she tried to balance herself out as her body wobbled in front of the portal. She then felt her throat tighten as her head collided with Blaze’s as he glared at her.

“Guess what Endermare?” He asked as she looked at him as he held his diamond sword up “Game Over,” he swung down as she fell back into the portal as the sword shattered with her

Then the portal closed for good as Blaze fell back into the dirt, they ended her sick game, they won.

Serafin walked up to him as they both hoof bumped in victory as Blaze's diamond armour disappeared as he sighed in relief.

“Ok, no more games please,” Blaze joked as he felt something collide with his body as he was pinned by a half sad, half pissed Dash as he smiled “Hi, I’m back!”

“Where the hell have you been! I was bloody worried as hell!” She shouted as Blaze prepared for a major beating but instead felt her hung him tighter than his armour as he smiled and hugged back

“Sorry I worried you, but hey, I’m not dead so that’s good,” He said as he laughed slightly as Dash let go and helped him up

“Yea, but don’t do that again,” She warned as he pinkie promised and then she began to glare at him again “Now, who the hell is this chick!?”

“Oh, that’s Serafin, she’s the new addition to my team!” Blaze stated proudly as Serafin nodded as the other two approached “Oh and she’s also the Goddess of the NetherRealm,”

"Its nice to meet you all," Serafin said with a bow of her head as her armour disappeared

That last statement made their jaws drop, well except Pinkie but Blaze held her back, Twilight was the first to recover and that bothered him.

“Uhh, Blaze, it’s good that you’re back but you must be mistaken, she can’t be a goddess, she has no wings, that and i don't sense any alicorn magic around her. But i do sense something,” Twilight pointed out as Serafin’s eye twitched as the temperature got slightly toasty

“Are you saying you doubt my being? If you want to burn please continue,” Serafin warned as her body lit into flames and her blaze rods appeared, scaring them as Blaze sighed

“You know I would say that its not smart to tick off the fire lady, but normally I don’t say the greatest of things,” Blaze said as Serafin sighed and extinguished herself

“Why do I need wings anyways? In my world if you’re chosen to be the next God or Goddess you can be whatever,” Serafin responded as she glared at Twilight

“I’m sorry, but here if you’re an alicorn your classified as that or have the title Princess,” Twilight explained as Serafin have a deadpan expression that read ‘seriously?’

"Well, either way i don't care for the title, its brought nothing but trouble in my part, not to mention this world is very strange," Serafin answered as Pinkie popped up beside her

“Welcome to Equestria Serafin, where nothing ever makes sense!” Pinkie exclaimed as Serafin blinked

“Yea like you’re one to talk Pinkie,” Blaze added as they laughed, all but Serafin as a voice spoke out in rage

“WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN BLAZE!!? YOU THINK THAT LEAVING ME TO BE STUCK IN THE WORST TECHNOLOGY FOR A MONTH WITH NOTHING TO DO BUT PLAY MINESWEEPER IS FUN FOR ME!!?” KAI yelled furiously as Blaze pinned himself to a wall as KAI pinned him to the wall

“Someone please help, I don’t wanna die,” Blaze squeaked as the other laughed as KAI argued with Blaze as Serafin gave a very tiny smirk

“I think I’ll like it here, wouldn’t you say Flare?” Serafin thought as she felt something in the back of her mind crawl, and it felt evil “Now… what do you want with my head?”
