What was I thinking...Saving her like this. She’s still asleep fortunately but what do I do if she wakes up? It’s not like she has anywhere to go, from the looks of it, she has to have been outside for a few days, I mean just look at her. Maybe there’s someone I can call. She has her bag on her, perhaps i’ll just…

“What are you doing?”

I close my eyes and suck my teeth, turning around to face the now sitting up light and dark blue haired girl. “Um..well actually..” She just continued to sit there glaring at me.

“Were you planning to go through my bag? Who are you!?” I jump at the increase in volume, holding my hands out in front of me for defense.

“Hold up hold up, I can explain. I was just looking for..” She got up and looked ready to fight.

“You were looking for a picture of me weren’t you. Like stay out my bag you creep!” She proceeded to kick me in the special area and succeeded. I dropped to the ground like a bag of rocks. Under my pain I managed to be able to speak.

“I..was..just helping..you..Stop you..from...freezing..to death.” I heard her nervously laugh as she scanned the room, obviously noticing the cup of water and blanket I laid out.

“Omg,omg! I am so sorry! Is anything I can do?!” Under the twisting pain, I managed to get out two words.

“Ice pack.” I heard her footsteps go toward my kitchen, then the loud smacking sound of my freezer door opening and closing. She brought back the Ice pack and gave it me. I happily put it down there until I was able to sit up again. “So let’s never tell anyone that’s how we met. Let’s start over after I stop hurting.” We had decided to calm the mood by going out to a small nighttime diner. I sat down at a booth as she went to order and pay for our food, an apology for kicking me. She returned to my booth to wait for our food, pulling out her phone to check her social media.

“So my memory is like so fuzzy, what exactly happened?” I laughed.

“Right, let me try to remember to what happened before my groin injury.” Her face turned to a menacing scowl.

“I said I was sorry alright, i’m buying you food so get over it.” I giggled at her anger.

“Let’s see..oh yea. So I was walking down maneway street, and there I saw it, the shining light of a damsel in distress.” Her scowl turned to a glare.

“Stop it. Just tell the story.” I laughed some more and continued.

“Fine. I was doing after hours work at my job and came across you at the park that I normally walk by. You seemed to be in pain. Your clothes were tattered, you yourself were wet from the rain and covered in dirt, and I think you had a fever. So, like any upstanding citizen, I took you to my house and laid you down. What were you doing out there anyway?” She looked down at table, trying her best to avoid eye contact. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my shin and went to hold it for comfort. I can’t tell but i think she just kicked me. She giggled at my pain.

“Sorry I didn’t know your leg was there. Oh look our food is ready.” For the rest of our time there, I repeated the question over and over again. She answered with a kick in the shin again and again. Maybe one or two times i dodged but this was getting painful so I stopped. We finished the last of our food and left the diner.

“So do you have anywhere to stay tonight?” She obviously did not like that question as she glared at me once again.

“What kind of game are you playing here?” I rubbed the back of my head.

“What goes through your mind sometimes? No, you were unconscious at a park in the rain, didn’t seem like had a place to go.” She sighed.

“No I don’t, kinda having problems with my roommates but don’t you dare think for a second i’m staying at your place again. My house is only a few blocks from here. I’ll work it out with them.” I shrugged and started to slowly walk off.

“By the way, what’s your name?” She turned and waved my question away.

“It’s not important.” I nodded and went back to my house. Upon getting in my house and tossing my jacket on the couch, I noticed that she had left something here, a necklace with some sort of red gem in the middle, about the size of a fly.

“What is this?” I examined the necklace a bit longer twirling it over and over again. Soon it seemed to kill time but utterly waste it. I set it down on the kitchen counter and threw some water on the burner. I made a cup of sweet tea and retired to playing video games. In the middle of this however, there was a knock at my door. It’s well into the night, who would come at this hour. “Hello?” No answer. I picked myself up from my laziness and walked towards the door. I peered through the peephole and to my surprise, it was the girl I had saved. I opened the door and was ambushed by hug and a lot of tears. “Hey what’s wrong?” She just continued to cry into my shirt as I slowly dragged her to a chair. After about ten minutes of her crying, she explained to me that her roommates had rejected her offer to get back in. Once again I decided to ask the question about how she ended up outside. She dried her tears and told me to hand her the necklace on the counter.

“See this, it’s a weapon we use to control people.” I cocked my head in confusion.

“What? How can that control people?” She turned her attention to the floor.

“It’s complicated. We’re not from this world.” She then proceeded to tell me the entire story of their..adventures in Canterlot High. This brought her to even more tears and once again she was soaking my shirt. Finally to break the sadness, there was a knock at the door. When I opened it, there stood a girl with red and yellow hair.

“Um...Hello.” The girl politely introduced herself as Sunset Shimmer and for some reason she was looking for the girl I had saved. Sunset took a step into my home and turned her attention to my guest.

“I came to talk to you..about the situation.” The girl simply looked at me and back to Sunset with an embarrassed look. She got out of the chair and sighed at me. She kept her eyes focused on the ground as she approached me and gave me that buddy buddy hug.

“Thanks for like..taking me in….Sonata..” I started scratching my head at that last comment.

“I’m sorry what? Sonata, what does that mean?” Her embarrassed face turned to anger right in front of my eyes.

“That’s my name stupid! Sonata is my name. You wanted to know earlier right?” I had completely forgot about that question.

“Oh yea. Well nice to finally know your name Sonata, I’m Delz.” She nodded and left with Sunset making as little eye contact as possible. “What is going on here? I know I just moved here but geez.” I yawned and checked my clock. “Guess I should hit the bed. Life’s back to normal I guess.” The next day, I got up, got dressed, and went to work. I work at a women’s clothing store, surprising I know. The manager said I had an eye for fashion so she hired me, I still have yet to tell my friends about where I work. When I got there, I slipped on a fashionable suit that apparently attracted people and walked around helping customers. Something was off though. The manager told me there was some girl hanging out around the store entrance scaring the customers away. So as usual, she had the underdog check it out. I exited the store and looked around. Nobody was here so I went back inside, or at least attempted to before I felt a tug on my shirt. I turned to the tug and closed my eyes. “Sonata?!...You have got to be..” Sonata jabbed me in the side hard. “Ow what the!” She took a lean against a wall.

“Can..We talk?”
