S05E01 The Cutie Map Part 1

"I'm curious. How did the subject of the vault come up?" Starlight Glimmer asked the Main Six.

"It's no coincidence," Fluttershy said. "These ponies are so friendly, that they told us the whole story. Nothing to be suspicious about."

"Hmm..." Starlight thought about it for a few seconds, she knew that there had to be a contradiction in the meek pegasus's words, but at the same time, she knew that now was not the time to make her guests feel suspicious. "Good enough, I guess," she said. "Alright. Now, allow me to tell you how we managed to make this vault..."

S05E02 The Cutie Map Part 2

"The only way we can remain happy is if we're all equal," said Starlight, trying to win back her villagers after they had discovered the truth.

"Except you." Party Favour said bluntly, causing Starlight to snarl and ready a spell.

"Everypony has unique talents and gifts, and when we share them with each other, that's how we really shine as individuals," Twilight said proudly, her chance to change the ways of Starlight and her villagers. "No matter what you may be able to do to our Cutie Marks, our real personalities can never be stomped out. And there will always be differences that separate us, one way or another."

"But... I... I..." Starlight stuttered and babbled incomprehensible gibberish for a few seconds before hanging her head and cancelling the magical buildup. "I suppose you're right, Twilight. I just didn't want people to feel ostricized by their differences, but I guess I just got carried away in the process..."

"Well, you can make it up to everypony here and now. Just return all of the Cutie Marks in the vault, and I'll let all of this slide. You'll get your friends back, and you can hopefully start them down a better philosophy. Deal?"

"Deal."

The two mares shook hooves.

"Come on, everypony! Let's get your Cutie Marks back!" Starlight led the way to the vault.

"I still got it." Twilight smiled as she and her friends followed the townsponies up to the cave.

S05E03 Castle Sweet Castle

"Don't you worry about it, Twilight," Rarity said. "You just go out with Spike and enjoy your day, and by the time you come back, this place will feel much more homely than you might think."

"I appreciate the offer, Rarity," said Twilight before growing a smile. "But I have a better idea..."

She flew up and built a large surge of magical energy before staring down at the castle for one last time. She shut her eyes and unloaded the stream directly onto the tip of the castle, consuming it in a pillar of radiant magenta light for five seconds.

The rest of her friends were blinded by the dazzling lights but eventually readjusted to see that the castle had been transformed into the Golden Oak Library from before Tirek's assault.

"There. Home sweet home," Twilight dusted off her chest before stepping back inside. "Now, I imagine that all of my books probably got messed up in the blast, but that can be fixed easily." She picked up a large number of books with her magic before launching them at the many different shelves inside. Within seconds, all of the hardbacks had been alphabetized and stood upright.

S05E04 Bloom and Gloom

Applebloom had a good night's sleep, the lyrics of Applejack's lullaby helping her to dream of happy dreams with her friends playing together in a grassy field with balls and kites.

She was never shaken from her sleep, nor did she toss and turn on that night, for she was too enraptured in her subconscious euphoria.

And when she woke up to the morning sun, she threw off the covers and ran down the stairs to get breakfast. After all, there were still many opportunities for her and her friends to earn their Cutie Marks, and she knew that her time would come soon.

S05E05 Tanks for the Memories

"Tank's only hibernating because it's cold, right?" Rainbow Dash thought about it whilst simultaneously staring at herself in the mirror. She looked back at her tortoise pet and said, "Well, I'd rather have you warm in the heat, rather than asleep in the cold..."

She gasped, and grew a massive grin. She knew what to do.

"Wait right here, Tank. I'm gonna have Zecora brew up an Anti-Hibernation Potion," she said before dashing out of the window and towards the zebra's house. "AND NO SLEEPING WHILE I'M GONE!" she shouted back.

Tank yawned, but managed to stay awake long enough for Rainbow Dash to get the potion. When she eventually returned, he opened wide and drank.

Much to Rainbow Dash's delight, Tank was now full of energy and ready to take on the winter season.

"YES!" Rainbow hoof-pumped before yanking Tank into the air. "You and I are gonna have the best. Winter. Ever!" she hugged him tight, knowing that she wouldn't be spending her winter alone anymore.

S05E06 Appaloosa's Most Wanted

"Trouble Shoes, you're under arrest for vandalizin' the property and peace of mind of the good rodeo-lovin' ponies of Equestria! Not to mention fillynappin'! And... generalized mayhem!" said Sheriff Silverstar as he and the other sheriff ponies tightented their ropes around him.

"Now hold on a second!" Applebloom shouted up. "Trouble Shoes didn't do anything wrong, and if ya'll would just listen to me, I'd be glad to tell you the utmost truth about everything that happened at those past rodeos."

"Hmm... Alright then," Silverstar said. "Might as well hear the whole story before we jump to conclusions. We don't want to be as bad as the Buffalo Tribe now, do we?"

One interrogation later, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo walked out with smiles on their faces. Their childish charm had won over the authorities, and they had saved Trouble Shoes from a prison sentence.

"Phew. That was a close one..." Sweetie Belle rubbed sweat off of her face.

S05E07 Make New Friends, But Keep Discord

Discord, Fluttershy, Tree Hugger, and the rest of the Main Six had a fantastic time at the Grand Galloping Gala.

Discord had learned not to be jealous of a pony that was friends with Fluttershy, because he knew first-hand that the Cutie Mark Crusaders had lots of friends in other parts of the world and none of them tried to steal them away for themselves.

At the comedy club, Discord's jokes were the talk of the town, and he had the whole crowd in stitches with his act, which involved him smashing fruit, covering the lucky volunteers he called up in the many different juices. Even Twilight was laughing at his outlandish sense of humour.

"This was the best idea ever, Princess Celestia!" Twilight said through her latest fit of laughter. "I think you should invite Discord every year!"

"Not just that, but we should make him the headlining comedy act for each future Gala," Celestia had restricted herself to mild chuckles, but she too was enjoying the draconequus' performance just as much as the rest of the guests. "I'll even set up a VIP package for him."

S05E08 The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone

Rainbow Dash looked down into the Abyssmal Abyss, the strong winds acting as a barricade to prevent pegasi from flying down, but she wasn't about to let a windstorm prevent her from recovering the Idol of Boreas.

She smirked and flew high into the skies before reaching required altitude, closing up her wings, and plummetting down towards the ground. She picked up speed and performed her trademark Sonic Rainboom, blasting the winds away long enough for her to swoop down and get the idol with ease before the winds came back to snare her.

"I am so awesome," she said to herself before heading back to Griffonstone to deliver the idol.

Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie had managed to serenade the Griffons into becoming much more generous. Together, they were all sharing their wealth and shaking claws with each other.

"Wow, Pinkie. I dunno how you do it, but you've definitely changed Griffonstone for the better," said Gilda, who was still watching in awe.

"It's called friendship, Gilda. And if you'd like, I'm willing to bury the hatchet and make you and the rest of the griffins my friends." Pinkie held out her hoof.

"Sure thing, Pinkie," Gilda's smile widened as she took the pink mare's hoof.

Meanwhile, Gummy had baked the largest cake ever conceived by an alligator. He took a bite to celebrate his hard work before walking off.

S05E09 Slice of Life

Derpy squinted her eyes and examined the date that the wedding for Cranky and Matilda was scheduled. With a smile, she wrote down and published the invitations with the correct date.

Meanwhile, the girls stood in position as the Bugbear arrived on the scene. They came together, glowed brightly, and deluged the monstrous beast with their friendship magic, leaving nothing more than a smoldering pile of ash where the monster was.

"Too easy. They've really gotta start giving us challenges..." said Twilight as she cleaned up the dust with ease.

S05E10 Princess Spike

As Cadence soundproofed the room from the inside, Spike hung a hanger on the knob the tower door that said "Princess Twilight sleeping. Do not disturb."

"There we go," Spike dusted his claws. "Now Twilight should be perfectly rested for the rest of the summit."

"I have to say, Spike, you and your friends have an answer for everything," said Cadence.

"Everything except the meaning of life, of course."

Cadence chuckled. "As for the ponies who want help with their friendships and for any problems that might arise, I'm sure that me, Celestia, and Luna can handle it."

"So. You wanna grab a bite at Joe's?"

"Why not?"

And the two of them went off on their merry way.

S05E11 Party Pooped

Everything that Twilight had set up went swimmingly. Knowing that the yaks required perfection, Twilight used her power to make perfect replicas of Yayyakistan delicacies, beds, animals, and more with ease.

As for Pinkie Pie's party, she quickly learned everything that Prince Rutherford and his companions liked, and adjusted the party according to their requests.

Everything went down swimmingly, and Pinkie took a bite out of her cupcake for a job well done. "This is far too easy," she said.

S05E12 Amending Fences

"I've tried friendship, and it's just not for me," said Moondancer as she made her way towards the doors of Twilight's old room in Canterlot. "Now, if you'll excuse me..."

Twilight thought fast and shot a small ball of magic that wafted on the wind and into Moondancer's ear. It travelled through her innards before reaching her brain, making it glow in a radiant rainbow light for a few seconds before it faded.

"Actually... I think I'll try it out one more time, Twilight," Moondancer turned around and walked back up to her old friend. "Hopefully you won't run off before I get to say goodbye this time."

"I promise that you'll have one of the greatest days ever with me," Twilight smiled as she escorted her friend around. "Now, let me show you my personal favourite collection..."

S05E13 Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?

Everypony in Ponyville found themselves in the town, with dozens of stars streaking across the night skies. With Luna creating their shared dream, they had no limits as to what they could do, and quickly found themselves frolicking in their own fantasies.

Even Rainbow Dash herself was able to use this opportunity to fly with the Wonderbolts, performing nimble tricks and impressing dozens of ponies in doing so.

All of a sudden, though, a roar emanated through the dream, signalling the arrival of the Tantabus.

"Here it comes..." Twilight said as she and her friends took up their formation once again. "Everypony else, join in! Together, we're gonna lay this nightmare to rest!"

The spectral mass that was the Tantabus eventually revealed itself, only to bear witness as everypony in the town became Rainbow-Powered, having their hairs grow longer, their wings become coated in multiple different colours, and for them all to become enveloped in a massive sphere of rainbow energy.

With a power struggle between the two forces, the magic of everypony won over the Tantabus in the end, consuming the monstrous black smoke before it let out an anguished scream and exploded into pieces.

"There we go, Luna," said Twilight as everyone returned to normal. "You can sleep now."

S05E14 Canterlot Boutique

Humming a tune to herself, Rarity made all of the orders for the Princess Dress in record time. She put them all into storage, waiting for the ponies to come and collect their orders before returning to her station to make different dresses that she would eventually unveil at later exhibitions.

Smiling, she treated herself to a cup of tea and a Canterlot pastry during her break whilst also examining the daily newspaper.

Sassy Saddles eventually came back to see that every copy of the Princess Dress was ready. She smiled and showed ponies some of the other designs that her boss had created.

For the two ponies, their business went by swimmingly, and Rarity racked up lots of Bits, to the point where she could open up more and more boutiques all across Equestria.

By the end of the year, Rarity's designs were the only thing that ponies wore, even Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight wouldn't wear anything other than her clothes.

S05E15 Rarity Investigates

"How am I gonna prove myself as innocent?" Rainbow Dash asked the Wonderbolts.

"Simple," said Twilight, showing up on the scene with a scroll. "Time Travel spell," she held up the scroll. "We'll simply travel back in time and find out what caused Spitfire to go missing."

"Uhh... how did you get in here, Princess Twilight?" Soaring asked.

"Alicorns get all access passes," Twilight pulled out a golden-pass and showed it to the Wonderbolts. "Now, come with me, and we'll just see what happened last night..."

"Sorry about what happened earlier, Rainbow Dash," Soaring said. "If it's any consolation, we'll even let you fly in Wind Rider's place once Spitfire comes back.

"Misty Fly, you lead a team out towards the arctic to retrieve Spitfire whilst Twilight and I deal with Wind Rider," he said to a group of pegasi before they took off.

"Thanks for helping me out there, Twilight, said Rainbow Dash.

"No problem, Rainbow," she said. "That's what friends are for."

S05E16 Made in Manehatten

Applejack, Rarity, and Coco Pommel worked together on restoring the park to its former glory. Every weed and dead tree that laced the area was completely torn down and shredded to pieces, whilst they got to work on fixing the ruined benches and reinforcing the stage for the Method Mares to perform come the hour of the show.

After working tireless hours, the three ponies had attracted all of Manehatten to the show, handing out flyers for the revival to passersby at the entrances to the park.

"I gotta say, that one was a bit of a challenge, but we plowed through it in the end as always," said Applejack after the show had finished. Her Cutie Mark glowed, as did Rarity's, signalling a job well done. "And there's the glowing marks to prove it."

"I must say, though, your hat looks a little beaten up from the work you did," Rarity examined the hat, seeing a few tears, holes, and loose threads at various different parts of it. "When we get back, I'll give you a free fitting for a new one."

"I'd like that."

And with that, the two ponies made their way towards the train station.

S05E17 Brotherhooves Social

A knocking came from Twilight's room, and she flew down to answer it.

"Oh, hi, Big Mac," she greeted the red stallion as he walked in. "What can I help you with?"

"Princess Twilight. The Sisterhooves Social is tomorrow, and Applejack's gotta go off to Manehatten with Rarity," he said stoically. "I want to make sure that Applebloom gets a blue ribbon, but I fear that me dressing up as a mare is gonna get us both caught in the end. Do you think you could help me with that?"

"Hmm... It's a bit strange, but I think I can work something out..." Twilight levitated a book off of the bookshelf and opened it up to reveal a page depicting a mare turning into a stallion. "Gender-swap spell. Only possible by high-level unicorns and alicorns only. It'll last until the day after tomorrow. Would you like that?"

"Well, like you said, it is weird, but I need to make Applebloom happy, so why not?"

Alright then," Twilight took her position. "Now you're gonna feel a little bit nauseous afterwards, as well as have more of a feminine personality until the end of the transformation, but other than that, you should be fine..."

A pink ring circled Big Mac's feet before a pillar of magic swallowed him up entirely. Amidst the energy surplus, his hooftips grew extra hair, his eyes grew feminine lashes, and his Cutie Mark transformed into an blossoming apple tree.

The magic then died down to reveal that the stallion known as Big Macintosh was long gone, and that a mare took his place.

"Until the events are over, your name is Orchard Blossom," Twilight instructed. "Now you have fun with Applebloom at the Sisterhooves Social."

"Thank you, Princess Twilight," said Orchard as she exited the castle.

Orchard Blossom and Applebloom won every event at the social, racking up more blue ribbons than anyone could ever conceive. For the two of them, it was the best Sisterhooves Social they had ever had.

S05E18 Crusaders of the Lost Mark

"Oh my gosh Crusaders! We won!" cheered Applebloom as Pipsqueak was elected the student pony president.

"I couldn't have done it without the help of my campaign managers: the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Pip said as he walked up and commended the three fillies.

All of a sudden, small lights emanated from the Cutie Mark Crusaders' flanks, meaning only one thing.

Sweetie Belle gasped as she knew what was coming. "Campaign Manager Cutie Marks!"

And true to her words, three logos depicting a president pony's successful inauguration appeared on the flanks of Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo respectively, yet they were different for each filly, as not to make them seem like they had all gotten the exact same mark.

"We did it! We got our Cutie Marks!" the three fillies bounced up and down in delight. "Cutie Mark Crusader Campaign Managers, YAY!"

"Looks like they're not blank flanks anymore, Diamond Tiara..." said Silver Spoon sternly. "Maybe if you'd taken this seriously, this wouldn't have happened."

"They had a song! How was I supposed to compare myself to that?" Diamond shot back.

"Never mind that," said Silver as the CMC were carried away by a flood of schoolponies, all cheering for their success as well as the victory of Pipsqueak. "Well, I guess we're gonna have to find a new lease on life..."

"Maybe that friendship nonsense they have is actually worth something after all..." Diamond Tiara looked at her Cutie Mark. "Just because I'm rich and influential doesn't mean I have to be stuck up about it, especially not to ponies without their Cutie Marks...

"So why not? I'm willing to give it a try," she walked off into the sunset. "Maybe with actual friends, I'll get much more than what my mother and father give me..."

S05E19 The One Where Pinkie Knows

This episode had it coming, and this would've been a much better way to do it in my humble opinion

"Pinkie Pie? Is everything alright?" asked Twilight as she addressed the pink mare, who was clutching onto the Golden Oak chandelier for dear life. "You look like you're about to burst."

"Forget it! I'll never tell! Not to you, not to them, not to anyone!" Pinkie blurted out. "You can't make me spill the beans! Well, literally you can, but not figuratively!"

Twilight sighed. "Suit yourself. Guess we'll just have to do a little digging..."

She lit up her horn and fired a small ray of magic at Pinkie Pie's forehead, which eventually projected all of Pinkie Pie's memories of the day as a video for the rest of the girls to watch.

Everyone gasped when it showed Pinkie Pie receiving the order for the cake for Shining Armour and Cadence's foal shower.

"My brother and sister-in-law are having a foal?" Twilight smiled in delight. "Pinke, why didn't you tell us? This is the best news ever!"

"Because I distinctively remember a certain somepony saying – and I quote – the pony who ruins a surprise has to live with that guilt forever! Unquote," she glared at Rarity.

"Oh. I suppose I did say that..." Rarity rubbed the back of her neck "But you have to understand that I was acting in a sense of decency for a pony's privacy, not to make you feel anymore uncomfortable than you already were."

"We never wanted to put pressure on you, Pinkie. And we're sorry if it ever seemed like we did," said Twilight. "I understand that a secret that big is near impossible to keep, even for you."

"Are you sure?" Pinkie asked. "You're not gonna get angry at me because you know what I've been trying to keep a secret?"

"We would never do that to you, Pinkie, dear. Honest!" said Rarity.

"Friends are still friends, even if they discover another pony's secret for themselves," Twilight began a speech. "Sometimes, there are some things that just can't be kept to one pony, and that must be shared for the one carrying the burden to have some sense of relief. We all have secrets that we're never gonna tell, Pinkie Pie, but if we keep it all to ourselves, it becomes harder and harder to keep under wraps."

"Thanks, Twilight." Pinkie Pie got off of the branch and landed with the dexterity of a cat on the castle map. "But can you do me a favour?"

"Sure. What is it?"

"Can you make sure that you try and act surprised when Cadence and Shining Armour reveal it? I don't want them to be let down because you found out before-hoof."

"Of course. Your secret is safe with us."

"Phew..." Pinkie rubbed the sweat off of her forehead. "That's a load off of my mind..."

S05E20 Hearthbreakers

Applejack and Pinkie Pie had gotten their families to agree to combine their traditions for Hearth's Warming. Together, they had a great feast of both rock soup from the Pies and the traditional smorgasbord from the Apples.

After that, they made Hearth's Warming dolls from both hoof-sewing and from rock forming. Together, they made some intricate designs that hung over the fireplace and brought life to the house in ways never thought before for the two families.

Finally, they played the greatest present hunt game ever. Lots and lots of presents were found between the two families, and even the Pies had to admit that it was better to find presents when they only had the house as the boundaries, instead of placing them far and wide Equestria.

"This was the best. Hearth's Warming. Ever!" Pinkie and Applejack said together and then hugged each other.

S05E21 Scare Master

Fluttershy looked at a bit and daubed a green dot on one side, with a red one on the other side.

"Well, this is it, I guess..." She picked up the bit she had marked and flipped it. "Green I go. Red I don't..."

The bit bounced around for a bit, teetering on the edge for a few seconds before it finally landed on the side with the green dot.

"Oh my..." Fluttershy picked up the bit and put it on the table. "Looks like I'm going out this Nightmare Night. Let's just hope that Twilight can help me get over my fears." She looked back at her animal friends. "Now you all behave whilst I'm gone. And I promise that I'll be right back to read you all a story."

They all nodded, prompting her to leave the house.

Fluttershy was escorted by Twilight and her friends, and with Twilight's logic, the meek pegasus quickly overcame her fears of Nightmare Night and even dressed up as Flutterbat to scare the pants off of passersby.

"How did I not appreciate this holiday before?" Fluttershy asked as she collected the candy from Rose's house after giving her a fright. "This is one of the best holidays ever!"

"So, does this mean you'll celebrate it every year with us?" Pinkie asked before sliding off in a random direction.

"Of course I will! After all, best friends do everything together and help each other through times when they feel frightened."

And from that moment on, the Mane Six had the best Nightmare Night of their lives, scaring random ponies all across the town and getting candy as a reward.

S05E22 What About Discord?

"But how am I ever gonna figure out what you all did over the weekend?" Twilight asked the group.

"Time travel?" Pinkie popped out of nowhere wearing an orange vest, aviator goggles, and a watch.

"Yes, of course! I'm so dumb!" said Twilight, slapping her head with her hoof. "Time travel! Of course!" she procured the same spell she had used back when Rainbow Dash was framed for the disappereance of Spitfire. "Now, let's go back to when you and Discord became friends, everyone..."

"Wow. Even I have to admit that that was a fun weekend..." Twilight said as everyone returned to the present. "I'm sorry for being suspicious. Especially of you, Discord."

"Oh. It's no bother, Twilight. Everyone gets jealous of things, even Celestia," he said jovially. "Just as long as you don't get worked up about it, you can get over it eventually."

"Yeah. You're right..."

"Oh, and next weekend, can we get in on your activities?" Spike suggested.

"Of course, Spikey-Wikey. There's always room for another when Discord's around," Rarity smiled.

S05E23 The Hooffields and Mccolts

"They know what they did..." sneered Ma Hooffield.

"They know what they did!" shouted Big Daddy Mccolt.

"Alright, this is going nowhere..." Twilight face-hoofed. "Friendship magic it is. Get the rest of the girls, Fluttershy."

"Umm... Okay," Fluttershy flew off towards Ponyville, not even looking back as the two feuding families resumed their volleying of food and building resources.

"Ready?" Twilight asked the rest of her friends.

"Ready!" they all said in unison as the Magic of Friendship made them shine brightly enough to get the attention of both of the fighting families.

The pulse of rainbow-energy was so powerful that both sides immediately stopped their fighting and met at the feet of the mountains to apologize for everything that had happened.

"Rainbow magic fixes everything," said Twilight as she looked at her Cutie Mark glowing.

S05E24 The Mane Attraction

"Svengallop, you are under arrest for the unfair manipulation of Miss Coloratura and her fans," one of the Royal Guards, who had been accompanying Celestia to the stage said as the stallion was tied up and unable to escape. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

"You think this is over, you moneyless piles of dirt?!" Sven lashed out towards the guards. "I'll simply find another pony to exploit once I get out! You have not heard the last of me!"

"That's what they all say..." the guard said before Svengallop was violently thrown into the prison car and taken away.

"I'm sorry it had to come to this, Rara," said Applejack as she comforted her friends. "But that pony was the most rotten apple I ever laid my eyes on. I do hope you understand."

"It's alright. I didn't really need a manager anyways," Coloratura smiled. "If anything, Sven was just holding me back from being who I was truly meant to be, a pony who sings for themselves, and not for endorsements."

"Well, I'm really glad I could help you out."

"Hey. How would you like to sing on stage with me?"

"Are you kidding me? I'd love that, Rara!" Applejack beamed.

S05E25 The Cutie Re-Mark Part 1

Twilight's speech went as planned. Having studied it word for word, she didn't even need the cards she had made to recite it. With Spike providing the visuals, she put on the best presentation of Cutie Mark Magic that anyone had ever seen.

S05E26 The Cutie Re-Mark Part 2

"See? You can't stop me no matter what you do," Starlight said with a smug grin on her face as she stared down Twilight after stopping the Rainboom once again. "You might as well give up."

"One more round. Winner takes all, Starlight," Twilight said as the dome appeared to whisk her off to another altered timeline.

"Fine by me. I'll be waiting..."

Twilight eventually returned and locked gazes with Starlight once again.

"Since this time is winner take all, I won't be holding back anymore." Starlight's horn glowed in anticipation.

"Neither will I," said Twilight as a pillar of magic turned her into Rainbow Power Twilight Sparkle. "Bring it on, Starlight!"

The fight went on just as before, only this time, Starlight's attacks were all futile with Twilight's new arsenal of spells. The alicorn was creating seeker shots that countered her opponent's beams and started to chase her through the skies, massive forcefields that would capture Starlight and prevent her from attacking, and even columns of light that stopped the flow of time so as not to grab anyone's attention.

The final attack came from Twilight, who unleashed a massive deluge of magic that completely overwhelmed and vaporized Starlight Glimmer once and for all.
