After escaping Canterlot Castle, Echo parked the ship onto the tracks where the train station was since it was the farthest location from the castle, and the changelings continued the attack. The five of them got off the ship and they met up with everyone else who was waiting for them.

"Why is Adagio with you guys?" Applejack asked sounding annoyed.

"And for that matter, how come Sombra's with you as well?" Princess Twilight asked.

"Well guess what-" Sunset was about to explain but Pinkie interrupted.

"King Sombra is actually his father?"

Sunset's jaw almost dropped but then remembered that you should never question Pinkie Pie.

"Yeah, that's right." Sunset replied.

Rainbow rubbed her hand on her face trying to process the information, but then looked with a straight face. "Is.... Is there anything else we don't know right now?"

"Well there might be a possibility Sugar and Flare died from a grenade in that castle, and Indigo it turns out came back at the last minute to save us, but we just lost her as well so--"

At that moment, they heard the sound of a sewer grate clattering, and they turned to see a grate fire up into the air and hit the ground. Hands came out of the hole, revealing Indigo Zap climbing out of the hole with a different appearance now. Her hair was ruffled up, one of the lenses on her goggles was cracked, a scar went down her right eye with some blood going down, the top of her suit was now gone revealing the black tank top, and there were some cuts and little bits of the legs of the suit gone.

"Hi guys, what's up?" Indigo asked.

"Indigo... You're alive! What happened?"

"They dragged me down, but I managed to kick them away and I had to crawl through the sewer systems over to here to escape their sights. Now, two things, one what where's Sugar and Flare, and can someone get me a band-aid? The blood is coming from eye, and that doesn't feel good."

Applejack came over to her with a medic kit, and Sunset explained what happened to her. Indigo as she felt the small band-aid below her eye though over the situation with a concerned face, but she straightened herself back up.

"Well, you don't have to worry. I'm still around and I'm staying. But, I should say, Tox... I'm... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left, I made a promise to stay with you by your side but I didn't do that. I... I..."

"Indigo. You were stressed out, and that's understandable. No one should be pressured like that. I am glad you've come back to help, and I forgive you for your actions. You, forgive me?"

Indigo gave a smile and said. "I forgive you."

"Thank you, Indigo."

Just at that moment, Tox ponied up once again, and the wings, the tail, and the ears sprouted once more all in a glowing green aura, and landed back on the ground, and the pony parts vanished.

"Again?!" Wait a minute..." Tox stopped and looked up.

"What? What is it?"

Everyone looked to the sky as they watched Midnight Sparkle float into the air with two bubbles following right behind her. In them, they could see Sugarcoat and Flare still alive but detained in the bubbles.

"Holy crud, she's got bubbles!" Indigo shouted.

"So they didn't explode themselves, that's a relief."

Midnight Sparkle above, as she floated in the air fired an energy beam into the sky which opened up a portal into just a black circle. They didn't know what was inside the portal, but they knew they were alive.

And so with some quick thinking, Tox instructed them all with the plan.

"Okay, new plan, free Sugar and Flare, Lets go!" Tox ordered.

"Actually, why not let me and Adagio handle this one? Midnight did kind of take both of our respective friends, and I feel we should be the ones to handle this situation." Indigo asked.

"Very well, if you want to do that, then fine. But please contact us if you need help. We're gonna work out a new plan." Tox replied as everyone left leaving Indigo and Adagio behind in awkward silence.

"So...I believe there's a flying motorcycle somewhere in the hangar area. Want to drive, or you want me to drive?" Indigo asked.

Adagio stood still in silence to think for a moment, but got an idea. "You're driving, and you're gonna need someone to keep the bugs off your back." Adagio smirked as she twirled a light cannon around.

A few moments later, the two of them were on a Shadowbolt colored motorcycle which had jet engines mounted on the side, and metal wings that folded out. With a new set of goggles on her eyes, a helmet on her head, and wearing a fresh new spandex tight suit, she was ready to move, along with Adagio sitting behind her wearing Shadowbolt spandex tights as well, and she had on a helmet too.

"Ready Dagi?" Indigo asked.

"No." Adagio replied sounding scared beyond all belief.

"Alright!"

Indigo sped up on the motorcycle and they charged through the concrete streets in Canterlot trying to get enough speed so they can blast off into the air. Eventually they found a straight road for them to use, and as Indigo revved on the motorcycle, Adagio held onto her tight and the two of them listened as the wind blew past their heads as they sped up on the long and windy road. Eventually the engines fired off and the two of them blasted off into the air with the sole intention of freeing Sugar and Flare from the clutches of Midnight.

"How exactly do you know how to ride this thing, and do humans even have this kind of technology?" Adagio asked.

"I read the instructions, and humans don't have flying motorcycles. This thing is what happens when you combine Equestrian magic, technology, and an advanced mind. I helped Tox make this thing, and its awesome!"

As they reached up to the sky, Midnight had Sugar inside a glowing purple aura, and the look on her face was terrified.

"Twilight! Come on! I know you're in there! You have to fight the control!" Sugarcoat yelled.

"Twilight is no longer here weakling... there is only Midnight... And just like everyone else, you will-- AGH!!" Midnight nearly lunched back after being hit by an energy blast. She turned to see Indigo on the bike hovering in the air.

"Twilight, listen to me! This isn't you! You are a nice girl, you would never hurt your friends!"

"Oh please, friends only made things weak, you all held me down, and you only wanted me to release the magic to win a petty game..."

"That's in the past Twilight!" Indigo shouted.

Just at that moment, they heard a scream and saw Aria fall through the hole and hanging onto the side trying not to fall, and then Sonata fell as well and Aria grabbed her hand just in time.

"I got you!" Aria shouted.

"Aria! Sonata! You're alive!" Adagio had tears of joy streaming down her face to see the sight that her sisters were alive.

"Adagio, you're actually, crying?" Aria asked.

"Yes! But this is happy tears!"

"Well any chance you can help us get down? I don't want us hurt from the fall!" Sonata asked.

Luck had come to their way as Rainbow Dash, Sunset, Tox, and Flash flew up with jet packs on their backs.

"Hang on! We'll get you down!" Rainbow shouted.

"Wait!" Aria shouted.

"What?" Sunset asked.

"There are others in there! The pony versions of you guys, and the other two girls we zapped, they're in there!" Sonata shouted.

Midnight was about to shoot them, but Sunset moved quickly to keep her from performing that action. And in a quick motion, Tox handed her a spectrometer just like Twilight's, and as she opened it up, it transformed her entire self into Daydream Shimmer.

"Get everyone out, I'll handle Twilight!" Sunset said.

Daydream led Midnight far from the portal, and everyone got into action. Indigo decided to give Adagio control of the bike as she jumped off and activated her hoverboard. And so one by one, they all got into the portal and first carried out the unconscious pony equivalents to their friends in their arms, and flew back to the CHS Shadowbolt while Tox stayed behind to keep the portal open.

Daydream and Midnight kept firing portal blasts towards one another and neither one could make a hit. They chased one another by hovering and soaring through Canterlot where several citizens had to duck and find cover in the city streets. Everyone watched in shock and awe at the sight of the two god-like girls battling.

Tox as he held the portal open by holding one hand onto an outer ring just to keep it active watched Sunset fight against Midnight in the streets below, and he couldn't help but give a smile.

"That's my Shimmer-cakes."

Soon the others hovered back up next to the bubble that Sunny was trapped in.

"Hang on Flare, we're getting you out!" Indigo shouted. She aimed the light cannon towards the bubble, which evaporated it, and Flare almost fell but Indigo reached just in time to grab her. Both of their attention was turned towards Tox and Rainbow who crawled out of the portal carrying unconscious Sour Sweet and Lemon Zest.

"Alright, lets go! We got them all out of the portal, now lets get to the ground!" Tox ordered, and they all flew themselves back to the CHS Shadowbolt,

Back with Daydream Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle now were at a magical energy beatdown firing two beams towards one another to hit the other, but neither were getting the upper hand. Until Daydream started moving closer and the energy was getting more towards Midnight. The glowing yellow and orange and red beam hit Midnight first which engulfed her into a void of pure white, and she faced Daydream Shimmer who offered a hand to her.

"Twilight, I know you're in there. Just let me help you..." Daydream offered.

Midnight faced Daydream with a few blinks but chose her hand, and in flash, the two of them were back on the ground back to normal.

"Wait, what just happened?" Twilight asked.

"You don't remember?"

Twilight shook her head responding no,

"I'll explain later, right now we got to run."

And with that Sunset and Twilight ran back to the train station without getting caught by any changelings in sight.

They got onto the CHS Shadowbolt, and they went into the medical ward where Sour and Lemon were hooked up to some IV units and still not awake.

"They're healthy and okay, but apparently that portal knocked them out into a sleep mode. They'll wake up. Eventually." Applejack replied.

"Well, at least they're alive." Sugar replied as she was cleaning some of the black dirt off her face.

"As soon as they wake up, I'm going to give them a big apology for what I've done." Indigo replied.

"Its not your fault dearie." Sunny said as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "Besides, you already made up for your actions by coming back to help us."

Indigo looked at Flare in her purple eyes, and she gave a smile and hugged her. "I'm just glad you're all alive. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You'd probably go into a deep depression and not talk to anyone to the point where your emotions would bottle up and you'd lash out at someone." Sugarcoat bluntly stated.

"That's putting it mildly Sugar." Flare replied.

"Hey, girls, come on. We've got to talk." Tox said before stepping outside.

The three of them looked at the two asleep girls one last time, and left the medic ward. But Indigo came back one last time, giving them both hugs real quick.

"We'll win this fight for you girls. I promise." Indigo said to the knocked out Shadowbolts.

The three of them joined everyone else outside, and the Dazzlings stood with them all looking bashful and ashamed, and Adagio held onto her sisters giving them tight hugs for fear of losing them again. After reuniting with her sisters, Adagio cleared her throat, and talked.

"Look um... I'm new to this whole 'friendship' thing, but do I just assume we need to apologize, for what we did?" Adagio asked.

"I'd believe that would be the appropriate response considering all the horrible, inconsiderate--... um, yes darling." Rarity replied.

"Alright, I... I'm sorry. I know we don't deserve your forgiveness--"

"Hold it right, there, Dagi. I can tell how you're feeling, and I understand. But you did actually help us back there, and I can tell you care for your siblings a lot. And because you helped us get our friends back, I forgive you."

Tox then ponied up once again much to the Dazzlings shock and surprise.

"Okay, why is this... Wait a minute. I get it. I understand it now!" Tox yelled.

"What, what do you mean?" Sunset asked.

"I get it now. I understand why I ponied up all those times before. I ponied up to all your elements because it was a sign. The pony ups were all signs saying there was another Element of Harmony. It makes sense!"

Soon the 7 girls, and Flash all started floating in the air and glowing along with Tox.

"Honesty...." Applejack then ponied up.

"Generosity...." Rarity then ponied up.

"Kindness..." Then Fluttershy.

"Laughter..." Pinkie.

"Magic..." Human Twilight.

"Acceptance...." Sunset Shimmer.

"Compassion...." Flash then ponied up.

A yellow eye opened up with the black diamond retina changing color to green as Tox spoke the final word. "Forgiveness..."

All of them rose into the air, hands joining together in harmony, all growing long and luminous hair. Flash had grown long blue hair that extended all the way to his back, and orange wings that sprouted from his back, and horse ears grew on the sides of his head. Toxigo ponied up as well, as the metallic bat ears transformed to the top of his head appearing on the sides, the back of his hair extended out glowing minty green, alicorn wings extending out, and his eye glowing bright. Everyone else which included the Dazzlings, the three Shadowbolt girls, the Royal Sisters, Indigo, Echo, and Sombra all faced them with grins as they watched them burst with energy.

"We possess something that can never be taken down or destroyed, something that lives inside of all of us You all have changed the way I look on life. No matter what comes, no matter the foe or entity that stands in our way, I will always consider you all my best friends. Nothing can bring me down. For a while, I believed I was no one, but now, I see the truth. I was meant to be with you all, I was meant to join all of you in peace and harmony to save Equestria. United we stand, now and forever, divided, we fall! Hand upon hand, brothers and sisters, no one shall be greater than all. Today, it will be said we saved our world. Because we possess the most powerful force in the universe: The Magic of Friendship."

Once they all landed onto the ground, everyone looked at each other with smiles

"Here's what we're gonna do, we're gonna win this fight, and we'll keep on going. Sombra, Princesses, and Echo, evacuate the citizens from the area, this fight's gonna be pretty... messy. The rest of us being Shadowbolts, Dazzlings, Element Bearers, we're gonna fight Chrysalis, together. Today... the Elements of Harmony, have awakened."

"Ready! Break!" The group shouted.
