Ah kept on runnin' for only a few minutes, though it felt like hours, days. Applejacks voice soon died inside of the dark cold forest. Only the freezin' wind made a silent noise while blowin' through the lifeless branches of the trees. The snow got thinner and dark green grass took its place. The moonless sky still threw it's red shades over the meadow and ah could feel a deep sadness spreadin' inside of mah heart. Ah felt lonely, sick yet not afraid at all... maybe ah already lost the courage to fight or the fright to die? Everypony ah knew was gone, turned into these strange cursed beings... even mah family. Maybe Applejack was still alive? Maybe she got rescued by Twilight... or the princesses! Maybe there was still some hope! Maybe-
“... maybe ah'm just mistaken... who am ah kiddin'? Ah'm alone.” Ah couldn't think optimistic anymore, not after ah saw mah own sister turnin' into such a... ah just couldn't. All that was left for me to do, was to leave and to find Twilight. Without a single thought left in mah mind and barely any life sign inside of mah chest, ah kept on runnin'.
Finally ah managed to reach the end of the forest. Over there, behind the small clearin' in front of me was mah freedom...
“Applejack... can you hear me sis? Ah almost made it out! Ah almost-”
“Hey Applebloom!” Huh? Two small silhouettes were appearin' in front of me... familiar silhouettes. Could it be?
“S-Scootaloo? Sweetie Belle? Y- you're alive?” Mah heart filled with joy again, relief and hope!
Mah two best friends were still alive and maybe they also knew where Twilight was hidin'!
Ah ran into their direction, mah eyes filled with tears of happiness.
“SCOOTALOO! SWEETIE BELLE! AH'M SO GLAD YOU-” But then ah stopped... somethin' was wrong.
“S- Scootaloo? Sweetie Belle?” They went into the fake red moonlight, lettin' mah worst fears come true and endin' the last glimpse of hope ah had left till that point.
“No... not you, too!” Black fur, glowin' red eyes... but no scars or wounds anywhere. It seemed like they didn't even had a chance to defend themselves, before they got...
“Why are you so scared Applebloom? It's not that bad and these red eyes are just awesome!” Scootaloo said with a creepy grin.
“She's right Applebloom! Just look at this pretty fur of mine! Did you know that black is
the new... well, black?” Sweetie Belle squeaked. Ah couldn't believe it... there was nopony left who could have been saved... nopony who could have saved me. What if Twilight also-
No! She survived, she had to! Findin' Twilight was now mah only chance of endin' this tragedy
once and for all! With the help of Twilight, princess Celestia and princess Luna, we still could've been able to finally banish these monsters and save our friends!
“Ah'm so sorry...” Suddenly Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were startin' to growl.
“No you won't! It just starts to get funny!” Scootaloo gasped.
“I'm sorry Applebloom, but we can't lose our friend! We will make you into one of us, so we
can be best friends forever!” Sweetie Belle...
“OVER THERE!” No, that couldn't be! That was Rainbow Dash! Ah turned around and saw her standin' right in front of me. She was badly hurt, covered with bite marks, bruises and blood. Though she was already heavily breathin', she still seemed to be able to stand and move.
But wait... if Rainbow Dash and the others made it here, did that mean Applejack...
“It's over little twerp! Scoot, Sweetie Belle, make sure she won't run away this time!” Scootaloo
and Sweetie Belle were closin' in while Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rarity were slowly
surroundin' me.
“W- where's mah sister? Where's Applejack?”
“She's not longer a problem.” Rainbow Dash grinned.
“Did you turned her into one of yours?” Ah hesitantly asked, then she began to laugh and to
shake her head.
“You don't seem to understand, twerp. She's gone... forever!” Her words were stabbin' mah heart like a knife, lettin' it explode and mah mind collapse.
Ah fell backwards to the ground, not able to move any longer. Knowin' that Applejack...
“Oh... are you starting to cry now you little crybaby?” Why? Why is this happenin'? What have ah done wrong?
“Don't worry, you'll meet her soon!” Rainbow started to jump, but ah didn't wanted to escape anymore. Mah heart felt like a stone, not even a single tear made it's way through mah eyes any longer. Ah just sat there, waitin' for Rainbows teeth to pierce mah neck and end mah misery...
there was no hope left.
“GET AWAY FROM HER!” Suddenly a bright light appeared and many shrill screams were echoin' through the forest. This light... it felt so warm... so familiar...
“Applebloom!” When it faded again, ah could see Rainbow and the others, layin' down on the ground, crawlin' away very fast. What happened? What was that light?
“Follow me Applebloom... follow me!” That line seemed so familiar... but the voice was different.
The cursed ponies were regroupin' in front of me, givin' me another last sight at mah former
friends. Ah couldn't describe the pain ah felt at this moment, it just made me feel numb.
“It's YOU! What do you want?” Rainbow Dash growled. Suddenly ah noticed the sound of rustlin' grass behind me, comin' closer with ever second.
“What I want is not your business, leave now or doom shall be your witness!” That voice!
“ZECORA!” Rainbow screamed, then she started to rush at Zecora. The very moment she jumped off the ground and right in our direction, she suddenly got thrown back by a white flash. It seemed like an invisible wall.
“ARGH! What was that?”
“This, my former friend, is a spell of protection! Holding away creatures like you, who didn't got their redemption.”
“Grrr, you witch! You'll come back, I KNOW YOU'LL COME BACK! And believe me-
If I'll ever see you two again... I'm going to tear you to pieces!” Rainbow snorted. Afterwards she and the rest of the cursed ponies turned around and walked back into the darkness of the forest. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle just disappeared all of the sudden.
“Everything alright Applebloom?” Zecora gently asked. Ah had to admit that ah was more than happy seein' a friendly face again, but it didn't fill the hole inside of mah heart that Applejack left behind.
“Don't worry my dear, everything will be alright. Come now and let me bring you out of this horrible night.” A shiny white sphere appeared between us and dove me and mah surroundin' into a comfortin' warm light again.

“Everything will be alright Applebloom... trust me.”
“Applejack...”
