That Discord Day

The morning rays hit the bed and slowly covered it, until it finally hit a sleeping HopeStar. She opened her eyes and slowly got up and yawned. It was another day like always, thought Hope as she got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. After refreshing up, she headed down stairs and into the kitchen.

“Morning big sister!” smiled Star as she stops eating her oatmeal and waved.

“Hey Star.” Reply Hope as she got her bowel and got a box of “Luna-o’s” and sat at the table and started to eat.

“No milk?” ask Star as she tip her head to the side “That’s weird…your weird just like daddy today!”

“Wait. What?” questioned Hope as she eating “Daddy acting weird today?”

“Yeah, he always acts weird with mommy this day.” Star hop out of her chair and trotted to the wall and check the calendar “Yeah, it’s today alright. It always happened during the Harmony festival.”

Hope check the calendar as her little sister brought it over to the table “Festival, for?”

“It’s when Ms. Sparkle and her friends defeated Discord.”

Star and Hope turned to the doorway and saw Raynor as he entered and started to cook some eggs and other food. Hope quickly notice as Raynor started to make way too much food, just for him. Before she could say anything, Net entered the room and yawned very loudly.

“Morning mommy!” smiled Star as she waved at her.

“Morning sweetie and morning to you, Hope.” Said Net but before she could sit, Raynor stop her and he quickly put a pillow and let her sit again “Raynor…” she whispered as Raynor quickly left and came back with the food, which covered the whole table.

“That’s a lot of food, just for Net, dad.” Questioned Hope as she was force to move her bowel and eat from the chair.

Raynor didn’t answer her and just turned to Net and spoke “Anything else? You want more? Oh! Let me feed you!” he said as he got a fork and cut up an egg and was going to feed it to her.

Net stop him and took the fork and place it back down. Before she could say anything, Raynor got a comb and brought his hoof near her head, which in turned, made Net back away as she smack the comb away “DON’T TOUCH ME!” she screamed as fear filled her gray eyes. The room went quiet just for a few seconds until Net realize what she did and before she could say anything, Raynor back away and headed to the living before stopping.

“I better buy some more food then…” spoke Raynor with tiny hint of sadness in his voice. Soon he took off and closed the door behind him.

“…Star, go with daddy. Like always, he forgot his wallet.” Smiled Net as she place her hoof on Star head “Make sure he buys more cookies too.”

Star nodded and she hop out of the chair again and left after getting her scarf. Again, the room was quiet as only Hope and Net remained. Hope slowly ate her luna-o’s as she watched as Net started to curse under her breath.

“I know it’s not my right to ask but what just happen?” ask Hope as she drop her spoon.

With a big sigh, Net started to talk “me and Raynor always act like this on this day. He tries to serve me on hoof and feet, while I’ll freak out if he gets too near…ever since that day…”

“What happen?”

“I’ll tell you, Hope…”

“What’s taking you so long down there?” yawned Net as she tap on her desk “Clopping?”

*bump*

“Ouch!” cried Raynor from the under the desk “No! I’ll never clop in front of the kid!”

Net smiled as she stroked her fat stomach “I’m just joking, silly. But for real, what’s taking so long down there?”

Under the desk, Raynor let out a huge sigh and spoke “I almost got the computer hook up, so stop asking every second!”

Net just yawned and returned tapping the computer desk like before. A few minutes pass and the computer finally came on. Raynor got out from the under the desk and smiled as he saw it on.

“See! I told you we didn’t need to buy a new one. One of the wires went bad and see!” said Raynor as he started to wave his hoof around Net’s face “I wasn’t clopping! If I did, what kind of dad I’ll be?”

Net smiled again as she felt the wind blowing in her face as he waved his hand around “Well, you technically attack me…with that big…long *cough* sword *cough* and stab me over and over again, while in front of the unborn foal.” Laugh Net as she could hear Raynor swearing under his breath.

“HAHAHA! Very funny!” mumbled Raynor as he looked away from her.

Net quickly grab him and gave a deep passion kiss. Before long, she broke the kiss and watch as Ray started to cough for air.

“…I’ll never understand how freaking strong you are!” cough Ray as he rested his head on her chest and listened to her heart beat “its racing? You really do love me!”

“Silly willy, of course I love you.” She said as she started to stroke Ray’s mane “and I’m not strong at all. You always let me get the best of you.”

Ray just rolled his eye and was going to say something but he soon heard something. It was another heart beat but this one was tiny. Net could see the great happiness in his face as he faced her. She stayed quiet and breathing very slowly and stroking her lovers mane as he listens to his unborn child heart beat “You’re going to be a great daddy you know... they’re not even here yet and your already all over them wanting to hear and feel everything they do” She went on and kiss the top of Rays head and smiled “I love you so much hun…”

Raynor soon stopped Net from speaking as he covered her mouth and brought his ear next to her stomach and spoke “What’s that?  Tell mommy stop eating junk food and eat healthier?”  He removed his hoof and went on to say “But you still love her no matter what?”

Net cross her arms and look away in anger as she said “I do eat healthy! ... I just like sweets... a tiny bit...” Her ears perk “Wait…what’s that...daddy is being mean.... he should go get us the cookie jar... yes… yes I agree… and a big glass of chocolate milk... I like your style little one...” starts to bats her eye lashes at Ray “Well you heard them...”

Raynor stayed quiet as he left the living room and returned with the cookie jar and handed it to her “Anything else…my queen? Oh right the milk…now I think about it, there was that odd cloud that made chocolate milk…I’ll be back.”

With that, Ray walk out of the house and took off to the skies as more pink clouds started to appear.

“It worked…” Smiled Net as she stroke her belly “You and I will make an excellent team against your father and his healthy eating ways!” Suddenly sadness took over as she stared out the window “... hmmm I was only joking but a few cookies and some coco milk won’t hurt...” Starts chuckling evilly “They got him wrapped around their little hoof... and they aren’t’ even here yet…hahaha!”

Net ate a few more cookies before she notices that the sky was turning dark. Before she could question this, Raynor returned but didn’t have the coco milk as he burst through the door. Net was spook by this as she jumped back a bit.

“Ray? Is that you, dear?”

Raynor step in as thunder flash behind him. His colors were now gray and dark, as something drained his colors. As he spoke, an evil laughter could be heard from the heavens “No! Not anymore!”
