In The Rain
Chapter 1: It's Raining
In the Rain
"Soarin, that was great!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, as she and her coltfriend exited the restaurant. Soarin smiled, looking over to the cyan-coated mare.
"Only the best for you, Rainbow Dash," he said sweetly. Dash rolled her eyes, before gasping as she realized what was happening.
"Sweet Celestia... it's raining!" she exclaimed. Soarin rolled his eyes, before fishing inside his saddlebag.
"Would you like an umbrella?" he asked. Dash thought about it for a moment, before shrugging, and shaking her head slightly to indicate her answer.
"Nah. It's cool. And besides, who doesn't like getting their mane wet?" she asked, before swishing her mane around in the cool shower that was currently drenching the two pegasi's coats. Dash and Soarin looked at each other, and burst out laughing at how silly they were being.
"Come with me. I wanna show you something," Soarin suddenly said, grabbing Dash's hoof, and leading her to a forest nearby. Dash cast a confused look at him.
"Where are we going?" she asked. Soarin didn't reply. He just oddly smirked at her quickly, before breaking into a run, Dash following closely behind.
"Woah! Where are we?" Rainbow Dash asked as she looked at the large field in front of her. Soarin smiled.
"Just a clearing I found a few weeks ago. I've been coming here quite often now, and it doesn't seem like anypony comes here, besides me!" he remarked. Dash raised her eyebrows, and nodded, running into the fields.
"Betcha can't catch me!" she yelled childishly, prancing in the grass merrily. Soarin grinned, as he ran after his cyan mare, beating his wings to give himself a head start. He pounced on her.
"Gotcha!" he whispered. Dash frowned, desperately trying to break free from underneath his strong hold.
"Hey! No fair! You used your wings!" she cried, failing to move away from him. Soarin smirked.
"You could have too, you know," he said simply, getting closer to her, as the heavy rain dropped onto his back. Dash let out an uncharacteristic giggle, as she jerked her head up so he wouldn't be able to get any closer. Soarin frowned, as she got off of her drenched coat.
After helping her up, he looked deep into her eyes with a small smile.
"Wanna dance?" he asked. Dash smiled back at him, and placed her hoof in his.
"With pleasure."
The two ponies began their slow waltz, stepping in time to the beats that were being provided by the rain. Their eyes never left each other's, as they moved in rhythm, and in sync.
Soarin twirled Dash around, and then casually dipped her low. Rainbow Dash leaned her head back, so he was looking dead straight at her neck. He smirked, as he quickly leaned in without warning, and planted his lips onto the crook.
Dash let out a squeak in surprise, as her grip loosened around him. Soarin on the other hand, tightened his hold, and began to leave a trail of kisses up to her chin.
He softly bit down every now and then, hearing several pleasurable moans coming from the mare beneath him. He smiled, breaking the kiss, and pulling her up.
He held her close, as they both bumped foreheads, and locked eyes, enjoying each other's company immensely.
Soarin then took Dash's left hoof in his right, and curled his other hoof behind her back, as she put her's on his shoulder. Slowly, the two began to flap their wings, rising into the air in a graceful manner.
Soarin leaned to the right, making them both move, and began to dance again in the sky. They both kept a close watch on each other, scanning their bodies for any sudden change in plans. Soarin flapped harder, indicating for Rainbow Dash to do the same, as the two rose higher and higher.
Soon, they became a silhouette in front of the moon. Soarin dipping her, and bringing her in for spins every now and then. Dash staying beneath him, and letting him guide her through the waltz.
Their figures suddenly stopped moving. Their wings locking against their sides, as they started to free fall.
Soarin tightened his grip around Rainbow Dash, and started flipping himself in time to her body movements, with her doing the same with his. They both turned up, and around again, resting gently on the other's hoof. Dash removed her right hoof, and made a swaying motion with it, as the two began their journey up to the moon again, as before. They turned suddenly, Soarin leading the movement, as he dipped her once again, and brought her in for another twirl.
They snapped away from each other, and started flying backwards, the rain making it a little harder for them to move. But they didn't lose eye-contact with one another. Dash flipped back, Soarin doing the same, as they bent low, and flapped down towards the earth, and then back up again, meeting in the middle, and going through the process again, making a heart shape with their bodies.
The two carefully studied each other's sways, and the way they moved in time to the blank night. No words being spoken. Just two lovers dancing away in the beautiful nights sky. Maybe this was Luna's way of congratulating them for a job well done.
The rain made it even more romantic. The soft patter of it gently resting on their coats, making their manes, and bodies glisten in the soft glow of the moonlight. Rainbow Dash suddenly broke the pattern, and flew over to Soarin, taking him in her hooves again, as they went in for a landing.
The two set their hooves down on the grass, and leaned in for a soft, sweet kiss. Dash lifted her hoof up to caress his cheek, as Soarin ran his own hooves through her mane multiple times, sending shivers down Rainbow's body.
When they broke apart, Soarin rested his forehead once again on Dash's, and closed his eyes. Dash did the same, as they stood there, still being drenched by the heavy rain that was now growing harder, and harder.
Soarin put his right hoof up to lift her chin, making her open her eyes, and stare into his. Soarin smiled.
"You're gorgeous," he said suddenly, making her instantly blush.
"And you're handsome," she said. "And I hope you know that only I am allowed to call you that."
Soarin smirked.
"Of course. Only the handsomest stallion can be yours," he said. Dash grinned, and nodded.
"Of course," she said. Soarin smiled.
"And I'm also the luckiest stallion alive, for I have the most gorgeous mare in all of Equestria all for myself," he said, leaning in for another kiss. Rainbow Dash grinned, and quickly closed the gap between them, slowly entering the world of pure bliss, Soarin following closely behind.
