-Crystal Empire-

"He calls himself tyrant king..." King Sombra growled, glaring into a crystal globe. Purple energy slithered from his green and red eyes as his horn crackled with dark energy. "He will learn what it means to be a true tyrant king..." he snarled to himself, spinning around and furiously trudging from the room.

-Canterlot-

"Stop!" Rex whispered, holding a hoof in front of Venom. The dilophosaur changeling did his best to resist the urge to clamp his jaws on the carnivore's arm and inject his deadly poison. "It's a guard." the larger stallion murmured, slowly sneaking up behind the armored stallion.

"What are you doing?!" Venom hissed, horror filling his body. Rex's response was to quietly hit his front hooves together and point at the guard. Venom tried to stop the former Tyrannosaurs but to no positive result.

With a metallic clang, the armored pony collapsed to the ground. Rex began to place the armor on himself.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?! THAT WILL NEVER WORK!" Venom shrieked at the large stallion with wide eyes. "YOU'LL GET CAUGHT!!" he continued with fear rising on his voice.

"Why won't it work?" Rex asked, already placing the helmet onto his head.

"Because your tooth is kind of a dead giveaway!" the changeling snarled.

"Oh yeah." the large unicorn muttered, feeling the fang with his hoof. "Well then I was hired by... whatever her name was, to work as a guard." Rex grumbled, picking up the guard's crossbow. "Now how's this thing work." he muttered inspecting the weapon. It was then that he pulled a small lever that fired a single arrow into the no longer armored guard.

"Nice job!' Venom snapped. "We're dead. Not how I expected to go. Always thought I'd get killed by my own species." he growled through clenched teeth.

"Whoops." Rex muttered, staring down at the Celestial guard with wide eyes.

"HEY! You there!! Stop!" a voice called. Venom looked up and spotted another guard approaching the two dinosaurs.

"QUICK! Use the gun in your hoof!" the changeling yelled at Rex with wide eyes and pointing at the crossbow. Venom was in a state of panic as the guard approached them. "FORGET IT!" Venom yelled, his frill of skin swinging out and vibrating. With a loud hiss, Venom unhinged his jaws, exposing the rows of small, needle like teeth imbedded in his jaw.

"What the heck?!" the guard exclaimed, reeling back at the sight of Venom's frill and teeth.

Rex then charged passed the distracting dilophosaur and rammed into the guard, who was sent sprawling to the floor. "Serves you right." the stallion growled sternly.

"Let's get out of here!" Venom said to the tyrannosaur with wide eyes.

"Yes! Let's!"

-Canterlot Library-

Unicorn Wizard scanned the tall book shelves, trying to find a way home. "Hmm." the Dimetrodon said to himself, stroking his long beard with confusion.

"What can I do for you?" an elderly voice asked. Unicorn Wizard turned to see an old unicorn with a pointy hat and cape. His mouth was slightly hidden by a beard and mustache. Seeing Unicorn, he continued on; "It is good to see a fellow wizard!" he exclaimed. "Especially since we get very few wizards around these parts nowadays."

Unicorn Wizard nodded that he understood. "My name is Unicorn Wizard. I am trying to find a way for me and my friends to get back to Jurassic World. Perhaps you could help me?" the stallion asked with a friendly grin.

"My name is Star Swirl. I have never heard of this Jurassic World that you speak of, but I could probably find something." he replied, walking amongst the shelves. "We've had things like this happen before. Except it was pirates. Nasty creatures. The only reason we got them back was because they were a royal pain in the behind." Star Swirl said as he scanned the shelves.

Unicorn Wizard politely nodded as the old pony spoke.

"Ah! Here we are!" Star Swirl exclaimed, carefully pulling an old looking book from a shelf. "Here you are." he continued, handing the book to Unicorn Wizard.

"I can't read it." the Dimetrodon said, squinting as he tried to read the pages.

"It's just dusty... Blow it off." Star Swirl said, waving at the book.

With a deep inhalation, Unicorn Wizard blew on th dusty pages. A sparkling dust flowed through the air, taking the hazy form of a young mare with a green mane and tail.

"Is this thing on?" the holographic image asked. "Testing, testing, one two three." she said.

"Yes. It is working, Clover." Star Swirl said to the holograph with a cheery smile crossing his old face.

"Star Swirl! It has been too long!" the dust image exclaimed with a warm smile. "Well then! What seems to be the problem?" she asked, her cheerful tone becoming serious.

"Unicorn Wizard here is trying to find a way for his friends to get home. We were hoping that you might be able to help him find his way." the unicorn replied.

"It all depends on where he came from and what his previous form was. The legendary humans are an easy fix. Animals, particularly extinct ones, are a completely different matter." Clover said.

"I am a Dimetrodon." Unicorn Wizard spoke up. "My friends and I are dinosaurs." he continued.

"Oh. THAT won't be easy. Are you trying to find a way back to the time of the dinosaurs? Or are you trying to get back to the present?" she asked.

"The present." he replied.

"That makes things a whole lot easier. But because you are not human, it will be tricky. Have all of your friends at this spot before the next full moon, and I will see what I can do, alright?"

"Okay."

"Goodbye. It was nice to meet you Unicorn Wizard. Remember! Before the next full moon!" the fading image said with a smile. With a poof of air, the dust returned to the book.

"You better get right to work, finding you friends!" Star Swirl exclaimed, taking the book from Unicorn Wizard's hooves and placing it back on the shelf.

-Road to Canterlot-

King Sombra angrily trudged down the dirt road, a sneer forming across his face. It had been many years since the dark stallion paid Canterlot a visit.

A motorized carriage sped passed him, the wind ruffling his cape as he moved. With a twisted smile, Sombra's horn crackled with purple energy. A large blast streaked toward the carriage, and with a loud explosion, the vehicle was obliterated.

King Sombra calmly walked passed the flaming carriage with a wicked grin.

-Canterlot-

Owen Grady sat at the table, a bag of ice held to his forehead. "So what you're telling me, is that I'm stuck as a pony until I get home?" he asked Princess Celestia.

"Yes." she replied.

"I just hope that Blue is alright." Owen whispered to himself with a worried expression.

"I'm sorry? What was that?" Princess Celestia asked. "You said something about 'Blue?'" she continued with a confused look. "Who's Blue?" the celestial alicorn asked.

"A Velociraptor that I used to train." the stallion replied flatly.

It was then that a grey unicorn entered the room, a cape covering his back and his horn crackling with energy. "Sombra!" Celestia exclaimed, anger already swelling up inside of her.

"Where is Rex?" the tyrant asked.

"Is that what you guys call him?" Owen laughed. "He's nothin but a T Rex!" he chuckled, wiping a tear away from his eye. "I'm surprised he has his own nickname."

"SHUT UP!" Sombra boomed, telepathically throwing Owen against a marble wall... "Now that HE'S out of the way... Where is the one you call Rex?" he snapped, taking a step toward Princess Celestia.

"I don't answer to demons." she snarled, her kind tone vanishing along with her happiness.

"You think I'm a demon, ay? Well let me show you the POWER of the demon!" he boomed, dark energy flowing fro his horn and striking the monarch. With a demented laugh, Sombra ceased fire.

"HEY!" a voice called. King Sombra swung around to see a stallion with a broken horn. Behind him was a changeling with saliva dripping from it's jaws.

The stallion was brown in color with lighter brown stripes. His bottom jaw down to his hind legs were also a dusty brown. It was colored like that of a dragon, with dark scales and lighter chest scales. His cutie mark was also strange. It looked like the letter "J" with a loop.

"Who're you!" Sombra growled at the newcomer.

"You're worst nightmare." the stallion growled, positioning himself into a battle stance. "Now... Back away from the... unicorn thing." he continued, preparing to charge Sombra.

"You wouldn't." the tyrant threatened.

"Oh, but I would." the stallion replied with a menacing smile.

Sombra rolled his eyes and his horn began to glow with a dark purple aura. "What! You're CHEATING!!" Rex shouted, diving out of the way of a blast of energy.

"It's not cheating! You just can't do that!" Sombra laughed.

"It is TOO cheating!"

"Is not."

"Is too!"

"Is NOT!"

"IS TOO!!" Rex yelled, charging the unicorn with a scowl on his face. Sombra easily sidestepped the attack and brought a hoof to the stallion's back, slamming him to the ground.

"THIS is the Tyrant Lizard King?" Sombra laughed wickedly. "He can neither fight nor fend for himself." he continued. As if to prove his point, the unicorn tried to lift the dazed stallion off of his feet.

"You know, there's a saying... a rule that you were too stupid to remember." Rex growled, bucking Sombra in the gut. The dark unicorn gasped for breath as the former Tyrannosaurus lifted himself to his hooves. "You mess with the Tyrant King... you get the teeth." Rex whispered into his ear.

"That's not a rule!" Sombra growled, throwing a hoof at the stallion's face. Rex dodged the attack and clamped his jaws on the dark stallion's forearm. "AAAAAGGH!!!" Sombra yelled in pain, trying to pull away from the predator's vice like grip.

Finally, Rex released, but only to grab the unicorn by the collar of his cape and slam him into a wall. "I'm going to kill you!" the tyrannosaur snarled through clenched teeth...

"REX!! That is enough!" Princess Celestia yelled at the furious pony. "I may hate that unicorn you are trying to murder, but I do not allow others to kill." she told him. "Release him, NOW." Celestia commanded sternly.

Rex looked up at her and with an irritated snort, dropped Sombra, who gasped for breath.

The dark king jumped to his hooves and glared down at his bloodied arm. "Y-you BIT me!" he yelled at Rex, looking up at him with wide eyes. "YOU BIT ME!!"

"And? Your point is?" the stallion replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"That's cheating!"

"It's not cheating. You just can't do that." Rex chuckled, using what Sombra had said earlier against him. Sombra glared up at the tyrannosaur and tried to come out with a comeback that would really get under Rex's fur.

All that came out was; "BLEAH!!"

"Good to know." the stallion said as Sombra turned to walk away.
