Kevin groaned as beams of sunlight pierced through the blinds and struck him in the eyes, he rolled over in an attempt to get away from the annoyance only to end rolling off Kevin's makeshift bed resulting in the man face planting on the cold timber floor. "Alright.... I get it" he groaned as he pushed himself up off the ground and looked around the lounge room which belonged to the Apple family, his head hurt and he felt like vomiting as he saw Mac passed out in a recliner with a mug half filled with cider. "So that's what happened" he chuckled as he attempted to stand only to fall onto the couch. "I guess my alcohol resistance is normal again" he said as he got to his feet again and rubbed his forehead.

       Once his senses normalised, he walked into the kitchen to find AppleJack and the own known as Rainbow Dash passed out half naked under the table causing him to shake his head and opened the fridge and grabbed some supplies to cook food before returning to the stove and placed them on the counter next to the stove before quickly cleaning up the empty mugs and plates. Once cleaned, he gave the table a once over, mostly removing cyan feathers from it and dumping them on a empty counter before he began cooking. After a few minutes of preparing, he felt a burning sensation in his chest making him frown before he grabbed his bag and rummaged through it before retrieving a small vial filled with a small shining floating white orb, he looked at it before looking at the three ponies again before uncorking the vial and downing the orb causing him to cough while he put the vail back in his bag and the burning sensation vanished.

       "What was that?" Asked a voice causing him to turn his head and see Granny Smith standing in her nightgown at the bottom of the stairs.

        "It's Medicine" he said with a sigh before returning to the kitchen and began heating a pan.

          "Why do ya need medicine?" She asked him as she walked over and turned the kettle on.

            "Do you really wanna know?" He asked which Granny replied with a nods making him sigh. "Well it's complicated... but the short version is that, i... I somehow changed in Tartarus.... not just into a demon but something else when I became 25, something bad happened with me so I take this medicine weekly to help" he said as she looked at him concerned.

         "Is there a cure?" She asked.

          "Nope, the only thing that was found to even suppress it... well only lasts a week" he said with a sigh."don't tell anyone, no one knows save for a few friends in Tartarus, damn Red doesn't even know" he said as Granny patted him on the back gently.

        "Ma lips are sealed, just look after ya'self, okay?" She asked as he nodded. "Good, now.... cover your ears" she said as she grabbed a pair of sauce pans. Kevin saw this and covered his ears as the elderly mare smacked them together causing the three ponies to awake with a start and Both AppleJack and Rainbow Dash smacking their heads against the table that they were beneath. "Come on you lot, ah could hear ya both from ma room and Mac, you vomited on ma Apron" She said as the three gave sheepish smiles while Kevin chuckled and went back to cooking. "Now today may be ya day off but ya three are gonna help me clean up the Barn" she said crossing her arms.

        "And what about Kevin?" Rainbow argued only to winch and hold her head.

          "He passed out playing chess with me, ah got AppleBloom to put him on the couch." Granny Smith said as she crossed her arms.

            "Wait... I played chess with you drunk?" He asked as she nodded. "Did I say anything inappropriate? " he asked.

            "No, ya just told me of some of ya stories when ya were a Guard" she said as Kevin nodded as he served up omelets for the ponies as AppleBloom came down the stairs and sat at the table and had a plate of food put in front of her.

        "So the real question is... did I win?" He asked as Granny chuckled and shook her head. "Damn" he said with a chuckle before grabbing his head and groaned. "As much as I would love to watch you lot clean... I'm gonna get home before Red kills me" he said before hugging his family members and leaving the house. As Kevin walked down the drive he shuffled his hand around in his bag until he pulled out a small root which he snapped a part off and put it in his mouth before chewing it and sighing as his headache began to fade.

        Upon reaching the town, Kevin noticed a few ponies around setting up shops and several day guards changing posts with night guards, not giving them a second glance, he continued until he heard a commotion making him turn to see a pair of day guards pinning a grey pegasus against a wall in an alley. Both stallions were earth ponies with a violet trim to their armour, the grey mare appeared to be wearing a Mailmare uniform but her satchel of mail was currently being searched by a third unicorn mare guard with the same trim on her uniform. Kevin looked up and down the street before he approached the alley but stopped when he heard them talking.

      "Buck it isn't here" the Guardmare hissed as she threw the satchel onto the ground.

        "What do you mean? The bits were suppose to on this mare, the plan was take the lizard and get rich" one of the stallions said.

          "Maybe this whorse stole them" the other stallion said as he drew a dagger.

           "No... she wouldn't have even known it was bits" the Guardmare said before she approached the mailmare and grabbed her by her yellow mane causing her to cry out but oddly didn't make a noise. "Well at least the mute spell is working" the Mare chuckled.

         "So what now? We have no way to get the ransom without going to the drop location, and if we do that we are bucked" one of the stallions said.

       "Buck, we have to find the Mare with the ransom fast.... we also need to be rid of this witness" the Mare said as she drew her sword.

        "Now that's not a good idea" Kevin said causing all four ponies to look in his direction to see him recording them on his phone. "Cause if you kill her, then I kill you" he said calmly but with a smirk as he put his phone away.

         "Kill him" the Mare ordered as both stallions drew their swords and charged. As the first stallion was upon Kevin, he crouched under the swing before grabbing the arresting brackets from the guard's belt, along with his spell pistol, within a moment, Kevin stomped the back of the stallion's leg causing his leg to bend before the human slammed his elbow into the stallion's face, knocking him out. The second stallion was about to thrust his sword when Kevin shot him in the hand making him cry out and drop his blade, once he released the blade, he grabbed his injured hand with his left hand which resulted in Kevin cuffing the stallions wrists before grabbing him by the back of the head and slamming his knee into the pony's jaw causing a loud crack and the stallion to cry out in agony as he head his broken muzzle in his cuffed hands. Before the Guardmare could react, she found the spell pistol barrel pressed against her forehead as it set off a little noise signalling it had recharged.

      "Info.... now" Kevin growled.

       "Spike is locked up at a cabin about three and a half kilometres east of Ponyville" she said as Kevin nodded before flipping the pistol over so he was holding the barrel.

       "Thanks" he replied as he knocked her out using the handle of the pistol before he turned to the Mare with the crooked gaze. "I'm sorry you had to see that, are you alright?" He asked kindly as she nodded hesitantly before he picked up all of the letters on the ground along with her satchel and returned them to her. "Better run along ms" he said before he left the alley only to be confronted by a pair of day guards, except before they could say anything, Kevin removed his phone and showed them the video of the three guards attack it the mailmare making the two look at each other before approaching the downed guards and dragging them off while Kevin watched for a moment before he began his journey to Cabin.

      Soon Kevin arrived at the cabin to find a pair of purple trimmed armour guards standing by the door, who upon seeing Kevin, drew there swords. "Halt!" One shouted moments before Kevin shot him in the knee and threw the hot pistol into the other Stallion's face. As the two guards were stunned, Kevin proceeded to dealing with them by slamming the first's head into the door and punching the other hard enough to knock him out but as Kevin opened the door, he found Twilight and Celestia both sitting on a luxurious couch sipping tea.

      "Ahh Kevin, you have finally arrive" Celestia said moments before she used her magic to stop a chair that Kevin threw at her. "That was unnecessary" she said with a frown.

        “Unnecessary? Un- Fucking - Necessary? I beat the hair out of five guards, crippled two of them for what?” Kevin growled.

         “Because I needed to talk to you.” Celestia said as Kevin placed his hand on the old desk next to him. “N-now now, let's be adults about this” she said eyeing the large desk.

           “And why didn't you just come see me?” Kevin asked with a sharp glare at the mares.

           “Well you don’t like us” Twilight said.

            “That is a fucking understatement” Kevin said as he sat on the desk. “Celestia has been trying to find ways to send me back to Tartarus and you…. Well you have attacked me and wanted to experiment on me” he said as the ears on both mares flatten against their heads.

        “Now you see why we had to go to extreme measures” Celestia said.

         “And the Mailmare?” he asked.

          “Oh, Derpy wanted to help as she is a really good actress but she had managed to lose her voice lady light”  Twilight said.

           “I see, so what did you need to discuss with me Celestia?” He asked her moments before she produced a folder and floated it over to him making him grab it and open it to see several sheets of paper. “What is this?” he asked withdrawing a birth certificate. “Why are you giving me my own birth certificate?” he asked.

      “Well have you ever really looked at it before?” she asked as he shook his head. “Well look down at the Relatives, it has been updated recently to add one more pony” she said as Kevin inspected the form.

       “Question, seeing as both you and Luna are on this as my ‘Aunts’ Why isn't the rest of the Apple family on it?” he asked.

        “Because….. it would be several metres long” Celestia said with chuckle which Kevin smiled at before cocking an eyebrow at the form.

       “So did you get a present for Luna Yet?” Kevin asked getting a confused look from the Alicorns. “What? According to the Date of Birth next to her name, her birthday is tomorrow” he said moments before both mares teleported away.
