Takes place in the Crystal War timeline

The Crystal War between Equestria and the Crystal Empire has been going on for nearly a year now. Both sides had taken tremendous losses. But no end seems to be in sight. As Equestrian supply reserves are being depleted, the need for more from allies overseas is required. Thus shipping lines have been contracted to help facilitate transport of said supplies.

The Red Apple Line is no exception. And their flagship, the EMS Mareitania, is enlisted to serve. With Captain Blade and his crew at their service, a vital lifeline of food, equipment, and other necessities has been established across the vast Equestrian Ocean. One that would be a prime target for King Sombra and his forces.

The ship is currently getting ready for what would hopefully be another routine crossing from the seaside village of Mareseilles, Prance. Little does the crew aboard realize that things will take a turn for the worst as an incident in Captain Blade's past will come back to haunt him.
