Deep within the forest, there was screams of pain. It echoed across the forest, until it finally stop. Where the screams were coming from, stood a pony figure, as a dark mist surrounds it. Around the pony, were the dead knights of the Holy Day and Night. The bodies of the dead knights bodies were badly slash up and burned. As the moon light hit the figure, a red tear slowly appeared from their eyes.

***

Pretty Pie and the remaining knights of the holy day, were almost out of the forest when they spotted yellow lights in the distance. Pretty quickly realized what the lights were and quickly ordered his men to take cover. As they hid among the trees, the lights they saw soon came into view.

RRRROOOOAAAAARRRR!

The wicked roars came from a black creature, as the creature and another four creatures stopped, where Pretty and the others were. Pretty and his men could see that the five creatures had the body of a loin and the face of a dragon. It smelled the ground as they walked around the area. Soon, one of the creatures barks at the others and pointed down where Pretty and his men came from and took off. As it was safe again, a young knight quickly asks what kind of creature was that.

Pretty replied to the young knight saying In a hoarse voice that the creature was an hunter mostly those fiends can only be found in the waste lands…” trailed off Pretty as great fear took over his body.

Meanwhile, Hyperion and the remaining knights of the holy night, were still running as they went deeper into the forest. As they ran, one thing was still in Hyperion mind…

“Was that dad’s voice!?” thought Hyperion as he kept the same speed “His voice…I remember something…” trailed off Hyperion, as everything in front of him started to form into a white void.

Among this void, was flames as a town soon appeared from nowhere. The whiteness was snow, as a storm blasted Hyperion in his face.

“Don’t you remember?” whispered a voice as a figure was walking out of the fire “Remember Hyperion…” trailed off the voice as something force Hyperion out of his flashback.

RRRROOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!

Everypony stop in their tracks as they heard that wicked roar. They all could hear it as it was coming from the area where they encounter Hyperion and it was getting closer every passing second.

Hyperion quickly shouted “Whatever the monsters are, we can’t lead them it to the princess!” Hyperion quickly drew this sword and continued to speak “A small group shall stay behind and hold those things off, while the rest will meet up with the princess. Anypony with me?”

Hyperion watch as four knight’s step forward and nodded to him. Seeing this, he quickly told the others about the location near the river. After getting the information, they all took off while leaving Hyperion and the other four knights behind. As they waited for those creatures, another flashback forms in front of him.

“…mother?” whispered Hyperion as a beautiful orange mare, with a long dark blue mane and tail, stood in front of him as the forest around him, was now a cabin.

“My dear son…” smiled the mare as she walk forward “Are you ready? Ready for (static)?” spoke Hyperion mom as everything became bright.

Within the brightness, Hyperion could hear somepony crying. It was a female voice as she cried out for Hyperion.

“Hyperion!”

“HYPERION!” screamed a female voice as Hyperion snap out of it and found himself being push.

As he hit the ground, he could see one of the female knights on top of him. Soon, blood drip on to his face. The warm feeling of the blood, force him to act. He pushes her off and places her on his back as he was met with blood cover claw. As he blocks the claw, he quickly saw the creature. It was the creature known as the notorious Hunter. As he pulled back, he could see the others fighting the other Hunters as well.

“BUCK!” swore Hyperion as the Hunter attack him again and tried to bite him but was mat with Hyperion’s blade.

The strong bite of the Hunter, scatter Hyperion’s sword in merge seconds. With his sword gone and carrying a dead or alive knight on his back, Hyperion was in trouble and he knew that. As the Hunter slowly walk up to him, Hyperion could hear the remaining knights being killed. Their blood crying screams filled Hyperion with anger and sadness. He led others to their deaths, just like what happen to his good friend, so many years ago.

“Damn it…” whispered Hyperion as he slowly back off from the Hunter as it grew closer.

He could see the yellow fangs as it was near his face. The god awful smell that was coming from it mouth as it blasted its breath into his face. Hyperion soon found himself pinned to the tree as he tried to back off. His mind was racing as the Hunter was ready to strike as it pulled back.

“Remember your training, Hyperion!” shouted a male voice in his mind.

The Hunter quickly attacks but was shock as Hyperion jump and with the broken sword hilt, jab it into the Hunter left eye. As it screamed in pain, Hyperion pulled back the hilt; he quickly cut the throat and was covered in blood as it pours out. He was able to cut a main vine of the creature.

“L-LOOK OU-UT!” shouted the female the knight that was on his back.

Hyperion quickly turned around and duck as a claw pass by his head. As he was under the creature, he bucks, with all his might, on to the creature neck. As he did so, he heard a loud crack and watch as the second creature fell to the ground.

RRRRROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!

Hyperion turned and saw the three remaining Hunters staring at him. Without hesitating, Hyperion turned and tried to run but quickly felt pain in his left leg. He quickly believes he broke his leg after kicking the Hunter. Before he could fly off, a Hunter quickly tackle him and the female knight and both of them landed and was quickly pinned down with the Hunter’s paws.

“…I can’t die…” thought Hyperion as it started to rain “…not now…” whispered Hyperion as he turned to his side and saw the female knight. He could see that she was a light blue Pegasus, with slightly dark blue mane, as her helmet came off.

As the other two Hunter’s got near, a flash of light appeared in the trees and soon blasted a arrow into the hunter, who was pinning down Hyperion and the female knight, forehead, in which made the creature scream in pain and step back. As it did so, Hyperion watch as Buck Shot landed in front of him and quickly finishes off the Hunter by shooting six arrows in its face.

As the third Hunter fell, Buck quickly turned to Hyperion and said “GO!” as he turned to the remaining Hunters and was ready to fight them off but was surprise as Hyperion stood by his side with his broken sword.

“Not going to leave you here…” said Hyperion as he turned to him “…and let someone else die because of me!”

Buck Shot just snorted and was even more surprise as the female knight, who was holding a small dagger, lump her way next to him. He could see a large claw mark on her back and which was bleeding.

“…Great…” sighed Buck as he knew, this fight was going to be even harder now.

***

Meanwhile, Pretty and his men finally arrived to the city wall and were met with Twilight, she was waiting for them.

“Twilight?” spoke Pretty in fear as he stop in front of her “Were you the one who unleash those fiends?”

Twilight slowly walk pass him and said “You’re lucky, Pretty Pie. The princess doesn’t want you dead yet.” After saying that, Twilight quickly ordered the knights to return to the castle grounds and wait for orders. As they did so, Twilight turned to Pretty and continued to speak “In a few days, a operation will begin. Returned to base and meet the other commanding officers in the war room.”

“War room!?” said Pretty in a surprise tone as he heard Twilight.

“You heard me! Get going before I have you killed!” shouted Twilight in anger.

Pretty quickly shut his mouth and left to the castle grounds, while Twilight stayed behind. She looks on as black clouds covered the sky above the forest and turned away as flashes of thunder lit the night sky.

***

Buck Shot fired an arrow into the shoulder of one the Hunters as he dodges its claw attack. As he slid on the muddy ground, Buck fired four more arrows into the fiend before sliding into a tree log.

As that was happening, Hyperion and female knight was trying to take down the two fiends as they flew above them. As they saw a opening, Hyperion dive down and tried his best to cut the throats of the fiends but was having trouble, since the fiends was more faster than the others.

“Hold on!” shouted the knight as she flew on the back of one the fiends and started to stab it with her dagger. As the fiend was trying to get the knight off, Hyperion dash over to it and tried to cut the throat but was quickly block as the other fiend came to its friend aid. With one strong sweep, Hyperion was thrown away from them and crash into the bushes. Seeing this, the knight jump off the fiend and tried to get them to focus on her but only one did, the one she attack, while the other one was walking over to where Hyperion landed.

Buck was surprised how many arrows he fired upon this Hunter but was running low on ammo. As he reloaded, the Hunter started to charge at him. Before he could fire, the Hunter was able to bite him but tried to crush him but couldn’t, as Buck was using his magic from stopping the death blow. As he held back the jaws, he pointed his bow gun and fired the arrows into the throat of the creature. As the arrows jam into the soft skin, blood oozed out and was now covering the creature mouth and Buck himself.

“Damn it…” shouted Buck as the creature let him go and was now on the wet and muddy ground.

As Buck tried to get up, the creature he attacks was slowly moving over to him but soon fell over and died as more blood ooze out from its mouth. With a bad wound on part of his back and shoulder, Buck tried to help the others by shooting his remaining arrows at the remaining Hunters.

Two of the arrows that Buck fired, stab into the Hunter side as it was walking over to the area where Hyperion crash in. But the creature didn’t care and soon arrived in front of the bushes but was quickly met as Hyperion jump out from the bushes and jam his broken hilt into the Hunter’s nose. With blood oozing out, the Hunter tried to side sweep Hyperion but miss as Hyperion did a back flip in mid air and landed on the head of the Hunter. By pulling the ears of the creature, Hyperion was able to force the Hunter to move.

The female knight was out of the reach of the Hunter, as she flew into the air and was trying to find a way to attack, but suddenly, Hyperion, who was controlling the other Hunter, crash the hunter into the other and quickly got off. As he landed, he could see that both creatures started to fight each other. With this chance, Hyperion called out to the knight, in order to help Buck from the ground. As they got him up from the ground, he quickly used his magic. In a bright flash, they were gone and leaving the two Hunter’s alone.

“FOOLISH!” shouted a female voice from behind the fighting Hunters.

As the Hunter’s turned around, one of them was quickly cut in half, as a black mist lash out at it. As the body fell, the lone Hunter step away from fear as it saw a pony figure but made up in smoke.

“Worthless fiends! DIE!” shouted the figure as it force the mist into the Hunter mouth and watch as the body started to melt away from the inside out.

The only thing left of the fiend was its burn bones, as it lay scatter on the wet ground. As the figure look on into the sky, it started to cry blood as the rain got even heavier.

***

As the bright flash disappeared, Hyperion and the others found themselves in the open fields that were near Everfree forest. These fields are known as Heaven of the lands. Realizing they were not too far from the river, Hyperion placed Buck, who was pass out from the blood lost, on his back and turned to the knight.

“Do you have enough strength to fly?” ask Hyperion as he remembers; she was badly hurt on her back.

“Gallant. Gallant Mustang is my name, Hyperion and no…” spoke Gallant as she was breathing hard.

Without thinking, Hyperion forces her on his back and started to head to the river. Fearing she might be too heavy, Gallant tried to get off but Hyperion stop her with his wings.

“It’s okay. I carried way heavier things than you. ” Smiled Hyperion as he turned to her “Be sides, your very light.”

As she turned away and blushes, Hyperion looks up and saw the clear night sky once more. The night sky was different now. It had lost something…it lost the maker of the night.

“…Luna…” whispered Buck as he started to talk in his sleep.

Hearing Luna name, Hyperion started to move faster, as worry and fear filled his mind. Did she made it to the place, he ordered her to go?
