The Witcher 3 -DLC: The Witcher of Equestria
Chapter 15: How does it work?
Previous Chapter Next ChapterI'm probably going to regret this decision. Geralt thought to himself "What's your plan, Treehugger!?"
"I have, like, a stash of Poison joke in my cabin."
"Poison joke!?"
"It's a plant that grows here, Geralt." Keira informed
"It won't hurt him." Tree Hugger "But it's gonna change something about him." The Hydra's heads each let out a hiss.
"We better get out of here now!" Geralt spoke, preparing to run "I don't want to wind up as a monster's meal." One of the Hydra's heads charged at the group, ready to eat Geralt! Geralt jumped out of the way, it's head crashing to the floor. "This way!" Keira placed Treehugger on her back and followed Geralt.
They ran along the neck of the Hydra, but the other heads lunged at them, ready for it's meal! For a monster this huge, Geralt casted an Aard on the heads, blowing each away, as it would push the heads of the Hydra away without any serious injuries. They slid down the tail of the Hydra and landed back in the swamps. The Hydra turned to them, each head letting out a loud roar!
"Lead the way, Keira." Geralt simply said. Keira nodded and ran ahead with Treehugger. The Witcher followed, but a distance between both the two mares and the Hydra chasing them. Geralt taunted the monster to get it's attention, dodging each lunge thrown by it, and jumping onto each head to make the beast hit it's own heads. I can't keep this up. I'll tire out. But this creature is gullible, so... He jumped down from the hydra's third head, the fourth one hissing loudly at him. "Come and get me, you stupid lizard!" He ran towards the Hydra! The last head snaked it's way to him, opening it's mouth to catch the Witcher. Geralt, however, ran around the Hydra's legs, and after a lap, the Hydra tripped itself. Tree Hugger and Keira returned with a large batch of light blue flowers.
"Geralt!" Keira yelled "Throw this into the Hydra's mouth!" She tossed Geralt the batch of flowers. Geralt caught the flowers in his right hoof and turned to the Hydra's head staring at him. It roared in anger, but Geralt tossed the batch into it's maw! The Hydra closed it's mouth and swallowed instantly. A loud gurgle was heard in it's stomach, and all of the heads let out a loud belch, followed by frogs raining from the sky, all unharmed. Geralt noticed that the Hydra was shrinking as it let out it's belches, and it shrunk to the point that it was no bigger than a frog itself. Geralt walked to the small Hydra and growled at it.
"Get out." It ran away, each of the heads whimpering in fear. Geralt turned to the two mares approaching him.
"That was, like, awesome, man." Treehugger spoke.
"Thanks. Is that what that plant does? Shrinks things that eats it?"
"Nah, it's different for everyone. But we better, like, give you a bath."
"It's the swamps, not me."
"We know the smell's the swamp," Keira replied "but Poison Joke's effect on you is activated just by touch."
"Tahw od uoy naem?" Geralt covered his mouth. Did... Did I just talk backwards?
"Whoa, dude!" Treehugger commented with a chuckle "That's weird! When Keira touched it, she became a stallion!"
"Treehugger!" Keira yelled.
"Relax, it's not like me when I touched it."
"Tahw denppah?" Geralt spoke.
"I don't know what you said, but I like... I don't remember."
"Fo esruoc." He grumbled to himself "Nac ew teg taht htab!?"
"Let's get you a bath, Geralt." Keira spoke, leading the way.
Tree Hugger's place was a tent, but there were shelves set up, each with bottles containing plants and journals about various subjects. Though the batchtub was a bucket, Geralt took the bath, wanting to talk normal, and he always enjoyed a nice bath, though he never openly admitted it. Geralt's armor and weapons rested next to the tub on a chair, though Keira was examining his helmet as Treehugger had herself a frog & examined it.
"So, you're now a unicorn?" Keira asked
"Yeah." Geralt answered
"I must say, were it not for your voice, scars, and actions, I may have believed you were a weird unicorn in armor on an adventure."
"And were it not for your dress, I may have suggested you were a weird subspecies of horse."
"Quite the charmer of you."
"Yeah. Still have your magic?"
"Yes, but it's not the best, what with being a new species." Geralt summoned a Quen around him.
"Same thing here. Try anyways." Geralt watched as Keira looked at her hoof. A small ball of fire appeared over her hoof. She walked over to the tub Geralt was in and placed it in the water. She, however, gave a curious look.
"Huh, it's gone."
"The firball?"
"No. It's gone."
"What is?" She turned to him with a 'seriously?' look. "...Wait a minute." He stood up, balancing on his hind legs and looked down. "...Huh... can't believe I haven't noticed that."
"Well, you have been walking around naked. Or, at least, no pants."
"Yeah, but... where is it? Now that I think about it, none of the guards have it... nor did any of the stallions around here have it."
"You've visited other places in this world?"
"Yes, but for business. Tree Hugger?"
"Yeah?" she replied, finishing her journal and closing it.
"How... how does you kind reproduce without sexual organs?"
"Sexual Organs? Nah, man, we use magic for that."
"Magic?"
"Yeah, man. Magic." Both Keira and Geralt stared at each other, then back to each other.
"I'll never get use to this land."
"Maybe I can." Keira spoke "Anyway, what are you doing here, Geralt? I doubt you came to say hello and fight a Hydra."
"Maybe I did. Joking aside, I've been selected by this land's rulers to find a way to stop a winter that's approaching."
"Winter is coming?"
"Yeah, but it's not planned at all. ... Keira, Ciri is here, and so is the Wild Hunt." Keira's pupils & eyes widened.
"Wha-!? How!?"
"I don't know, but I'm gonna need your help on this. I need to find our allies, head to the home of the Yaks, get Prince Rutherford to cooperate with the Princesses here, and find Ciri before the Wild hunt does."
"Take me with you, Geralt! I-I don't know much about this land, and Treehugger, though she's helped, she's... she's on something." They turned to see Treehugger eating a plant from a jar.
"I can see that. But, lucky for you, I have some... friends here that can help you."
"But I want to join, Geralt. My magic can help us."
Stay with Twilight.
