The Mansion
Fluttershy was walking around Ponyville with Angel when Angel went a little too close to the Everfree forest for Fluttershy even though he was a few feet away from it. All of a sudden a barely visible light came out of the forest and went into Angel like a ghost. Fluttershy didn’t notice this though. Then Angel, possessed, hopped into the Everfree forest.
“Angel, what are you doing?” Fluttershy said. She chased after him until she saw what looked like the ghost of Nightmare Moon. She picked up Angel and ran away.
She ran to Twilight’s house/castle and knocked on her door.
“Oh hi Fluttershy.” Twilight said when she opened her door. “Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?”
Fluttershy explained what happened and then Twilight told her friends about it and then they decided they should check it out. They asked her if she wanted to come but since it was in the Everfree forest and she already saw Nightmare Moon. she didn’t want to. They decided to check it out and Fluttershy went to her cottage. (BTW Angel actually was back to normal before Fluttershy went to Twilight’s house.) “I just hope my friends will be okay,” Fluttershy thought.
A few hours later she got a knock on the door. “Who could it be this late?” she thought. It was Spike.
“Hi Spike.” Fluttershy said.
“Hi Fluttershy” Spike said. “Twilight has been gone all day and I looked for everyone else and Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash are all missing too!”
“Did they tell you about the thing in the Everfree forest?” Fluttershy was getting really worried for her friends.
“Actually yeah and that’s why I started looking for them hoping maybe I just didn’t realize they were back.” Spike said.
Fluttershy, realizing she had to look for them, started to get scared. She went to the Everfree forest to find her friends. She grabbed a flashlight and timidly walked into the Everfree forest, trying to be brave but she was still terrified.
She got to the Everfree forest and noticed a creepy mansion. She walked in and tried to find her friends, still terrified.
soon as she walked in the door suddenly closed by itself, startling Fluttershy. Without thinking, Fluttershy tried to the door but realized that it wouldn’t open. Then she heard mysterious laughter. “H-hello?” she yelled. “Is anypony there?” She looked around and noticed there was a mirror in the room.
She didn’t know what it was about the mirror, but something made her feel like it wasn’t a normal mirror. She walked up to it and realized it was actually a portal. She didn’t want to go through the portal, but it was the only way to get out of that room (there were other doors but they were boarded up). So she decided to go through the portal.
Luigi's Mansion
Fluttershy was in some kind of creepy forest. It wasn’t as scary as the Everfree forest, but it wasn’t much of an improvement.
She looked around and saw a light. She walked towards it and noticed it was another mansion. Fluttershy was hoping it would be someplace safe but when she saw the giant spooky mansion she was disappointed.
All of a sudden she heard someone walking up to the mansion. She noticed it wasn’t a pony. It was some kind of creature she had never seen before. And it kept yelling “Mario” which she assumed was a name or something. He also said the name as if he was looking for “Mario.”
She didn’t know what the creature was but he was some kind of creature that was green. (This is how Fluttershy sees him BTW.)
The creature then noticed her and she hid behind her mane. Then he thought out loud “why is there a horse here?” Then Fluttershy mumbled (because she was shy and she wasn’t actually mad at him)
“I’m a pony”. The creature was sure he heard the horse talk and asked her to repeat what she said. “I’m a pony” Fluttershy said again louder.
The creature, realizing the pony could talk, decided to ask it its name. “I-i’m Fluttershy,” the shy pony said quietly.
“I couldn’t hear you” the creature said.
“I’m Fluttershy” Fluttershy said again but louder.
“I’m-a Luigi.” the creature said. (BTW that was a reference to what he says I’m pretty sure it’s when he wins Mario Kart. Otherwise I wouldn’t add the a.) “What are you doing here?”
Fluttershy explained everything about how she saw Nightmare Moon in the Everfree Forest and she told her friends about it and they decided to go into the Everfree Forest but she was too scared to go so she didn’t and then her friends didn’t come back after a while and so she had to look for them and then she found some weird house with only a mirror but it was actually a portal so she went through it and then she found herself in another creepy forest and then she saw something and went towards it and then that was everything up to that point.
Luigi asked Fluttershy who Nightmare Moon was and what the Everfree forest was and she told him that Nightmare Moon was an evil mare who tried to take over Equestria and make it Eternal Night who actually turned out to be Princess Luna and that the Everfree forest was really dangerous forest where a lot of strange things happen.
Then Luigi said that he would help Fluttershy find her friends if she would help him find his brother Mario. Fluttershy agreed but then Luigi told her that Mario was in the mansion they were standing in front of. Fluttershy didn’t want to go in the mansion but she already agreed. Then they went into the mansion.
They walked in and they looked around. There was a door with a strange thorn thing on it. There was key in some orange floating thing, which creeped both of them out. But then the orange thing bumped into the chandelier and dropped the key, then floated away. Luigi picked up the key and then he and Fluttershy went through the door up the stairs.
Professor E. Gadd
They went through the door and there was an orange ghost that tried to attack them
All of a sudden something sucked up the ghost and it turned out to be an old man in a lab coat with something on his back. He tried to get the ghost and the ghost dragged him around for a while until the ghost hit him which knocked him back.
“Ouch.” the man said. “Ooof. I sure take a lot of knocks in this line of work. I’m getting too old for this ghost-catching tomfoolery. Anyway, nice to meet you. I’m Professor E. Gadd. This house… I swear it has more ghosts everyday! What’s a young feller like you and a horse doing around here, anyhoo?”
All of a sudden three orange ghosts appeared. “Uh-oh! This looks ugly.” Professor E. Gadd said. “ All right, youngster, look lively! Follow me, posthaste!” Then he took them out of there and took them to a shack.
“So your name’s Luigi and the talking pony’s name is Fluttershy?” he said. “I think our paths were destined to cross.”
“Umm w-where are we?” Fluttershy asked.
“Hmm? Where’s this, you ask?” he said and Fluttershy nodded. “Why these cozy quarters are where I do my ghost-studying. Professor E. Gadd’s Ghost research laboratory. The lab, if you’re of shortening mind. So let’s see if I got this straight, Luigi. You won a mansion in a contest you didn’t even enter?” Luigi nodded and then Professor E. Gadd started talking again. “Sounds pretty fishy to me. So you believe the mansion actually exist?”
“Yeah. Why?” Luigi said.
“Strange. I’ve been living here since I was a lad of twenty or so, and I’ll tell you that mansion appeared just a few days ago!” Proffesor “The spirits have fooled you! I don’t know if it’s a dream, an illusion, or what-all, but I surely wouldn’t be too happy winning a haunted house! Now that I get a look at you, Luigi, I just recalled a guy with a red hat just like yours went up to the mansion without even stopping to chat, and he never returned. Was he a dream too?”
“I think you might be talking about my brother, Mario!” Luigi quickly said.
“What? That guy was your brother? Oh no! That’s horrible! He wouldn’t stand a chance against the ghost without my help! You have to go after him! Here’s the plan: I’ll teach you and Fluttershy if she’s helping you how to deal with ghosts so you can rescue your brother, Luigi. It’s a good thing I have an extra Poltergust 3000 so both of you can use one. Poltergust 3000 what this vacuum cleaner is.”
Professor E. Gadd took them to training rooms and then trained them about how to catch ghosts.
After that they went back to the mansion. There they noticed a toad crying. But Fluttershy had no idea what it was. The toad cried “Boo hoo hoo! Where did you go Mario? Waaaaah! Wah!” then Toad noticed Luigi standing in front of him. “Huh? Luigi?” He said. “Waa… Wow! It’s Luigi! You finally made it! Oh joy! Thank goodness!”
“Hi toad.” Luigi said “What are you doing here?”
“Me? Well Princess Peach asked me to come here to look for Mario. He left when he heard that you’d won a mansion, and he never returned! Th-then when I arrived here, the mansion was full of ghosts, and I didn’t see Mario anywhere, and I kind of freaked out a little, and I didn’t know what to do! It’s been awful! Please, please, please, you HAVE to help me find Mario! If he doesn’t get back, you have no idea how upset the princess will be! She’ll flip!
“Leave it to me!” Luigi said. (And yes I am just copying what they said in the game to this fanfic.)
“Yay! Thanks, Luigi! You made my dark and stormy night! By the way who’s that pony over there?”
“Hi! I’m Fluttershy!” Fluttershy instantly said, due to how cute the toad was. (I made her think toads are cute because it’s in character and I think the toads in the Mario universe are adorable!) “What are you anyway?”
“I’m a toad. Toads are creatures that live in the Mushroom Kingdom. I wish there was a way I could help you two.” (In this fanfiction since there’s no saving games the toad is pretty much useless.) Then they decided to walk into the room that was unlocked.
Ghostbusters
They went into the room and noticed there was 6 candles with purple flames. They walked closer and then the candles went out. All of a sudden the paintings hanging on the walls started talking.
"Who put out my candles? You, Mr. Lime Green? Or that yellow horse?" said one.
"Well dark rooms are dangerous around here, yes…" said another
"They love the dark! And now they will get you! Bloo-heh!" said a third one.
"Now you're in for it! Blugh-huh!" said a fourth one.
"Just like little red cap before you!" said the last one.
"May you wander lost in the darkness forever!" said the first one. "Are you afraid of the dark? Are you? Huh? Blah-hah! Here they are now!"
All of a sudden some orange ghosts appeared. Luigi and Fluttershy caught them (if you're confused about what I mean by saying both of them I mean that Professor E. Gadd had an extra one so both Luigi and Fluttershy have a vacuum) and then the room suddenly lit up and they got a key.
Then they went to the next room and a few ghosts appeared. The orange ghosts and a pink ghost were there. (I realize that it's called a purple puncher but it looks pink to me.) They sucked them up then went to the next room. It had dresses and stuff. They got all of the ghosts including a new green one throwing banana peels.
Then Fluttershy noticed the wardrobe shaking. She opened it and then a ghost popped out scaring both Luigi and Fluttershy, but then Luigi caught the ghost and then 20 gold and 30 bills. (BTW if I got this wrong it's because even though I am using let's plays to get the story right, I am using a wiki for the speedy spirits.) Then more ghost appeared. They caught them and found a key. Luigi checked the Game Boy Horror, a thing he got from Professor E. Gadd, to see where the key went and then showed Fluttershy.
They went there but right before they were able to unlock the door, Luigi a message on his Game Boy Horror.
"Hold up a sec, guys." Professor E. Gadd said. "It's me, Professor E. Gadd! I detect spirits stronger than we've yet seen lurking ahead.I think... it must some of those escaped gallery ghosts! You should know that they're really different from the other ghosts you've seen so far. They don't show their hearts very easily. Nope, not at all. When you find one you should first use your Game Boy Horror to search it's heart for clues. Sometimes you can learn the best way to surprise 'em! Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you." Then he hung up and Luigi opened the door.
They were in a hallway. They got 11 coins that were on the floor then started walking through the hall and then they walked into a library.
It seemed empty so they decided to leave, but Fluttershy thought she saw a ghost. She told Luigi about it and so he (hoping it was Fluttershy's imagination) grabbed his Game Boy Horror and looked at the rocking chair and saw the ghost and freaked out but then he remembered that he was going to check the ghost's heart for how to beat it. The Game Boy Horror said "Go ahead, try to find me. I can see you, but you cannot see me." He showed Fluttershy and they were both confused by that.
When they looked away after a few seconds the ghost yawned and both Luigi and Fluttershy turned around really quickly and could see the ghost but they didn't get to suck it up. They looked away again then heard the ghost yawn and turned around again at the same time, and started sucking it up at the same time. They didn't mean to do that but it actually drained the ghost's health faster. Then Luigi caught it.
Then a chest appeared Luigi opened it and there was a key and Luigi's Game Boy Horror showed him where the key went and he showed Fluttershy.
Then in the hall, even though there was a bunch of doors, they didn't go through all of them because they wanted to get out of the mansion ASAP so they just went to the room the key went to.
When they went to the room it was a bedroom, but it didn't have any ghosts in it, but Luigi, remembering the last ghost, used his Game Boy Horror to look around and then he saw the ghost sitting by the vanity brushing her hair and then scanned it and it said "Isn't my hair just gorgeous? Of course, I do spend a lot of time on it. I was so bored cooped up in that painting. Now I spend all my time in front of the mirror. It seems to scare people, though, so everything is coming up roses!" He showed Fluttershy it (and this is the last time I will type that but everytime Luigi sees something important on his Game Boy Horror he will show Fluttershy even if it doesn't say so) and then she said "Isn't it really windy right now, which could ruin someone's hair?"
Then Luigi realized what she meant and opened the curtain, and due to the broken window, the wind got in the room. The ghost got up to close the window, and then Luigi and Fluttershy sucked it and Fluttershy caught it this time (after having to do it again.)
Then there was a chest and in the chest was another key. Luigi checked his Gameboy Horror and saw where the key went.
Then he and Fluttershy went into the hall and heard crying and saw that it was coming from a nursery and there was no ghosts there but when Luigi checked his Game Boy Horror a baby ghost and a ghost earth pony foal (though he has no idea what an earth pony is). He scanned the human baby's heart and it said "horsey… rocky… horsey…" That made them think that one of them had to rock the rocking horse and Fluttershy did it and then all of a sudden the two babies woke up.
"Hey! Want to play with me?" the baby said. Then he shook his rattle and teddy bears and kept hitting Luigi and Fluttershy, hurting them.
"Do you have another game other than hitting us with teddy bears?" Luigi said.
Then the pony said "try throwing that ball at one of us" he pointed his hoof at a pink and yellow ball. "But don't throw it too hard. We will get mad if you give us owies."
Luigi threw the ball at the human baby but even though he threw it lightly it hit him and he got mad.
"Ow! You gave me an owie!" he said. "I just wanted to play with you! I HATE grownups! Why do you both have to be bigger than me? I've had enough!" Then he made Luigi and Fluttershy shrink. "Small… Now grow smaller! Small! Itsy! Tiny! Little! Wee! Ga ga goo goo GA!" Then Luigi and Fluttershy were teleported two different places. Luigi was in what looked like a giant crib with the angry baby next to it and Fluttershy was in what looked like Sweet Apple Acres without the barn and with the pegasus foal next to it.
Luigi freaked out when he realized he was teleported to a giant baby crib and there were floating rocking horses. And then the baby that turned him tiny appeared. Then he started crying and then sent rocking horses at Luigi.
Meanwhile Fluttershy realized she was in what looked like Sweet Apple Acres and there was the foal as a giant baby pony. He started throwing giant apples at Fluttershy.
Luigi dodged all of the rocking horses and meanwhile Fluttershy all of the apples. Afterwards in the crib there were a bunch of balls that looked like the ones Luigi threw to the baby currently attacking him. He threw one at him and then got a little bit of his health.
Meanwhile Fluttershy after dodging a bunch of apples saw them bouncing around (don't test this because it probably doesn't work) and she knew they were probably play food. She realized she might need to hit the foal so she threw an apple at him. He got mad but she got some of his health.
Meanwhile Luigi had to dodge a giant baby who went around in a rectangle shape. Then he had to repeat what he did before, get some health from the ghosts, and then again and then he captured the ghost.
Meanwhile Fluttershy was dodging the foal and then repeated everything twice then caught him.
They both teleported back to the nursery. There was a gold chest and Luigi opened it and there was a pink key and a painting. He told Fluttershy and she saw that the painting was Applejack.
Then Luigi got a message on his Game Boy Horror. At first it was just static but then Professor E. Gadd said "Luigi can you hear me?" (Remember Luigi has the the Game Boy and Fluttershy doesn't.) Then he realized that there was both Luigi and Fluttershy. "Oh thank goodness you're OK! I lost contact with Luigi all of a sudden! I was a tad worried. You both seemed tuckered out. Why don't you come back to the lab? When you vacuum up a boss ghost, your Poltergust 3000 gets pretty much full to bursting! But...ho ho.. I guess you showed that boss ghost who's boss!"
"Actually we each fought a boss ghost." Fluttershy said.
"Then those boss ghosts."
Then they went to the lab. Professor E. Gadd greeted them by saying "Good job guys! You both made it back in one piece."
Fluttershy told him about the painting of Applejack and he replied "Well it's a good thing I added a reverse switch to this machine here. You see, this machine here, called the Ghost Portrificarionizer, was designed to let you turn the ghosts you catch into paintings. Not only that, it works in reverse too!"
"How does it work though?" Luigi asked.
"Well, it's simple. Just plug a Poltergust 3000 into that slot enjoy the ride!"
First Luigi did it and then Fluttershy, and then she put Applejack's painting on the other side of the machine. Applejack turned back into a pony. Then she saw Fluttershy and was kind of wondering what she was doing.
Fluttershy explained everything that happened (and also told her who Luigi was too) and then Applejack said "Well if you don't want to go back there I can take over."
"Well I promised to help Luigi find his brother, so I have to go back into the mansion."
"If you want your friend to take over it's fine with me since you did already help." Luigi said.
But Fluttershy explained that she's the only one of the Mane 6 that could do this, therefore she had to do it for her friends.
Then Professor E. Gadd, who was looking at the paintings, said that he didn't remember having a painting of a baby pony. He said that when Fluttershy said there were two boss ghosts he thought he forgot one but he knew that there was no ghost pony.
Fluttershy knew it might have been Nightmare Moon, and told everypony that, but knew she still had to look for her friends. So she went back into the mansion.
King Boo and Nightmare Moon
Luigi and Fluttershy went back into the mansion and saw the door with thorns on it. Luigi remembered his Game Boy Horror said he had to go there. He and Fluttershy walked towards the door and the thorns disappeared. Then Luigi pulled out the pink key and unlocked the door.
They walked into a hallway and Luigi checked his Game Boy Horror and then he and Fluttershy went to the only unlocked door in the area. It was a bathroom.
All of a sudden some ghosts appeared. They tried to grab Luigi and Fluttershy but they managed to each shake the ghosts of. Then they caught the ghosts. More appeared, and they caught them. Then the lights went on.
All of a sudden Luigi’s Game Boy Horror went off and Luigi answered it.
“Heh heh heh! Looks like you’ve run into a bit of trouble there!” Professor E. Gadd said. “Maybe you need more training! There are some ghosts who’ll try to grab and hold you. The only way to shake them off is to do exactly that. It’s the age old struggle for survival! Don’t lose heart!”
Then they noticed a key and Luigi got it and went to where the key went.
It was some kind of ballroom and it had creatures that Fluttershy had never seen before but Luigi told her they were Shy Guys. Then they removed the masks of the creatures and caught them. Then more appeared and they caught them.
Then the music changed and there were two ghosts dancing. They couldn’t see the ghosts but Luigi saw them on his Game Boy Horror. He scanned one, and it said “Look! There’s a man and a pony here. But I don’t think they can see us.”
Luigi and Fluttershy looked away until one of the ghosts yelled dance and they turned around and could see the ghosts but then they were invisible again. They waited until the ghosts did that again and then tried catch them. They did by helping each other, but it wasn’ very easy because there was spinning platforms. Then there was a chest with a key.
Luigi checked his Game Boy Horror to see where it went and he and Fluttershy went there. It looked like some kind of storage room. There was a few ghosts, and Fluttershy accidentally bumped a chair and a speedy spirit flew out but they caught them and got 20 coins, 10 bills, and 2 gold bars. Then after the lights turned on, they saw a button. Luigi pressed it and the wall moved back. Then there was a poster that said danger.
Luigi really didn’t want to but pressed the button that was behind the poster and it opened a trap door revealing 51 boos (including King Boo), 50 shadowbolts, and Nightmare Moon. All the shadowbolts and all but one boo flew away. “Who’s there? Who dares disturb our sleep.” It was King Boo. “Oh It’s Luigi and another pony!” he said and at the same time Nightmare Moon said “It’s Fluttershy and another human!” and they stared at each other for a few seconds and then looked back at the two.
“Let’s trap them in paintings just like the others!” King Boo said. “Wait… is that the Poltergust 3000? Two of them? Everyone scram!” and then the boos and shadowbolts and Nightmare Moon flew away.
Then Luigi got a message on his Game Boy Horror. “Are you two okay?” Professor E. Gadd said. Luigi and Fluttershy both just nodded and then Professor E. Gadd continued. “That was them! Those were the ones who released all of the ghosts from the paintings in my gallery! Those fiends! The boos not the ponies. I’d wondered where King Boo and his gang had gone. I didn’t know there were ponies too though. But they were hiding in the mansion all along! Thanks for flushing ‘em out! I’m tickled you found ‘em, but perhaps it would’ve been better if you hadn’t, well, let every single one escape. Just a thought. Ah well. water under the bridge. Anyway, you should probably come back to the lab for a sec.”
They did just that and then Professor E. Gadd said “I’ve been waiting for you two. Applejack, did you see those ghosts before you were trapped in a painting?”
Applejack just nodded and said “I saw some of them Shadowbolts, and Nightmare Moon before I blacked out.”
“That means that the ghosts must have taken everyone else you two are looking for.” He said and then Explained that The boos and possibly the shadow bolts can combine their powers to become stronger, and maybe it overwhelmed Fluttershy's friends and Luigi's brother. Then he told them they needed to capture all of the boos and shadow bolts. Then he explained that Boos will hide and jump out and scare people then told Luigi and Fluttershy about a secret function on the Game Boy Horror to track boos called “the boo radar.” Then he told them that they should get the boos one at a time, but first they should probably rest.
Bogmire
Luigi and Fluttershy decided to go back to the mansion. First they went to the rooms they were already at to catch the boos. But while they were in the Area 2 hall they saw a floating candle stick which scared both of them. But then they went back to trying to capture the boos, each of which were teamed up with a shadowbolt. Then they actually went to the rooms they haven’t been in yet. First they went by the place they first met the grabbing ghosts. Luigi went to the room next to it while Fluttershy waited.
While Luigi was in there there was a toad that was sitting on the floor crying.
“Toad what’s wrong?” Luigi asked
Toad sniffled and answered “I, uh… dropped a REALLY important thing in the toilet. I didn’t mean to!”
“Don’t worry about it, Toad” Luigi said.
“Hey... you’re right!” Toad said “No point crying over spilled milk! I suppose I’ll just flush that old worry away. Yup, I’ll just let it swirl on down to the depths and let happiness refill my life!”
Then the lights turned on suddenly, and then Luigi decided to see what toad dropped. It was a key. Luigi picked it up, trying to barely touch it while still picking it up, and washed the key but had to take his gloves off first, then washed his hands, then put his gloves back on, then actually put the key away.
Then he left the bathroom and he and Fluttershy went to the room the key led to, which had a fortune teller in it. They walked up to her, but unlike the other ghosts, she didn’t disappear. When they walked up to her she asked “What... do you seek of me?”
“Wh-who are you?” Luigi asked.
“I am Madame Clairvoya, seer of dropped items. Possessions of other people awaken vibrations in my spirit. If you find someone’s dropped items, you should bring them to me. I will show you the extent of my vision… Also if you’re looking for multiple people, then I need two; one from each person. It works better if it’s at the same time, too.”
Fluttershy had found some things earlier and picked them up; a hair clip shaped like a diamond, a cupcake (though she didn’t eat it), and a book, but didn’t end up giving them to Madame Clairvoya.
Luigi and Fluttershy went to the next room. It had a mirror. Then ghosts grabbed each of them, and they shook the ghosts off. But neither of them saw the ghosts until they saw the mirror. They gasped at the same time. But then they caught them. Then more appeared and they caught them.
After they caught all the ghosts, the lights turned on and a chest appeared. After catching the boo in the room, and Fluttershy caught the shadowbolt, Luigi opened the chest. It was a strange red medallion with a fire ball on it.
Then Luigi’s Game Boy Horror went off. “Hey guys! What have you found there? Let’s take a look at that.” Professor E. Gadd said. Luigi held up the medallion, and E. Gadd continued. “It’s… a Fire Element Medal! Now you can use the Fire Element! Yes sir, with that, you can catch Fire Elemental Ghosts! Of course, if you only have one, only one of you can use it.”
“What’s a ‘fire elemental ghost?’” Luigi asked.
“Hm? What’s a fire elemental ghost, you ask? Why, they show up wherever you see fire! They’re ghosts of fire itself, if you will. If you approach a flame, they’ll be surprised by your presence and leap out into the air. Then you vacuum ‘em up right away! After that, you can expel fire at stuff. You can melt ice, light candles, do all kinds of stuff. The meter on your Poltergust will actually tell you how much of an element you have left, so keep an I on it! You may have to use the fire element to defeat some ghosts… Keep that in mind! Don’t say I never warned you!”
Then they left the room, and also found a key. They went to where the key went, and it was some kind of laundry room. After he and Fluttershy caught all the ghosts, Luigi checked the washing machine and saw… Mario’s hat! Then they go a chest and when it opened there was 20 coins, 25 bills, and 2 gold bars. Then after that, they caught the boo and shadowbolt.
Then they went to Madame Clairvoya’s room, and Luigi gave her the hat and Fluttershy mentions how she found some stuff earlier, and then, as Madame Clairvoya could not read more than two items at a time, Fluttershy only gave her Pinkie’s cupcake.
“What objects do you two have here?” Madame Clairvoya said. “Show them, please, to Madame Clairvoya. This is.. a cupcake, and Mario’s hat. Why, it’s so clean as if... SOMEONE JUST WASHED IT! ...Sorry, sometimes I like to add a little drama, you know. Hm? Just one moment… Did I just say Mario? But what about the cupcake?”
“It’s probably my friend Pinkie Pie’s. I would wrap it in plastic, but there is none.”
“Well, I have some random stuff that I keep because who knows!” Then she wrapped it up. “So anyway… how many are we looking for, exactly?”
“Well I already found Applejack, so that leaves Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and his brother.”
“Well anyway, I need to show you my vision. And Luigi, you’re the younger brother of the famous Mario, and you have come to this place to find him! And Fluttershy for her friends! Anyway, let’s get to reading that fortune! Ahh! They come! Now the spirits come!! Come spirits of power, come spirits of sight! Show me the awful things occurring here tonight! Crystal orb, symbol of my clan, use your darkling powers to show us all you could, I mean CAN! Show us all you can! Show us these five still trapped in the mansion! The light of the spirits comes! Show us what we seek!! Ohhhh… Harummm… I see that these five live… none of the five are in the spirit world, but one cannot say they are alive… haaackth ha ha hork! (Excuse me, sorry.) Where are they? Where is at least one of them? ...Ah, the spirits fall silent! Uuuh… This is all I can tell you for now! Bring to me more dropped items, and I will show you where they are! These clues no longer speak to us…”
Then Luigi and Fluttershy went to the hall and walked around for a bit, and saw a floating candlestick! Luigi scanned it, and it said “Ah, the beautiful Melody will not even give me the time of day... What must I do to win her? Passion! Yes! That's it! I will show her I burn for her! My unbridled passion will scorch her soul!” Luigi was confused by that, but thought maybe he should light the candles the ghost was holding. Then the ghost appeared and made really strange noises. They followed him anyway, and then they went to a room full of tools for lots of stuff, and caught him.
Then they got a key, and caught the boo and shadowbolt in the room.
Then Luigi noticed a mouse hole. He scanned it, and somehow it made him go through the mouse hole. There was a room, full of treasure chests, but Luigi still was freaked out by the mouse hole and tried to make sure he could get back, but when he tried to, the Game Boy Horror gave him an error message that said he couldn’t teleport out until the room was lit up, he had opened all the chests, and caught the boo. He sighed, and first caught the ghost bats, and then opened the chests, and managed to find all the ghosts, which he needed to use the fire element on, and also got 48, coins, 48 bills, and a red gem, a blue gem, and a green gem. Then he got the boo, and shadowbolt, in the room. Then he scanned the mouse hole, and went through it. Since he kinda fell out of it, Fluttershy asked if he was okay and he said he was fine.
Then they went to where the key went, and it was a room full of instruments. They played them, (and guess what was playing) and then a ghost appeared.
“My name is Melody.” the ghost said. “People call me the spectral beauty of the ivory keys! What a stirring performance! I haven’t been so charmed by a piece for ages! One of you, or maybe both of you, have delicate ears for music. Would you two like to listen to my piano sonata? Well, here I go.” Then Melody started playing a song. Luigi recognized it.
“Wasn’t that song in Super Mario Bros. 3? In that game, just like the first game in the first game in the series I was only playable in multiplayer.” Luigi said after Melody finished playing.
“Yes, you got it! Oh, and sorry you got to be player 2 in that game.” Melody said. “Anyway, very impressive! I guess I needn’t hold back with you! Would you or your friend care to do battle with my musical sheets?”
Before either of them could say anything, music sheets came out of the piano, but Luigi and Fluttershy vacuumed them up, and then Fluttershy captured Melody and the lights came on.
Then a chest appeared and in it was a key, and then they caught the boo and the shadowbolt of the room.
Then they went to a dining room, and found a ghost that they caught and got 20 coins, 5 bills, and a green jewel. Then after that, Luigi scanned it’s heart and it said “No one can see me in this darkness! No one no one no one noooooooooo-one!” Then Luigi thought maybe to light the candles, and then he had to vacuum up the food, and then caught the waiters, and then he and Fluttershy had to avoid him spitting fireballs at them, but then he got tired and Luigi and Fluttershy caught him. Then they got a chest with 20 coins, 20 bills, 2 gold bars, and a silver diamond. Then they caught the boo and shadowbolt and went to the next room, which was a kitchen. They caught the speedy spirit in the room (from now on I am just going to call it that even if they never actually find out what they’re called) which rewarded them with 20 coins, 5 bills, and a blue jewel. Then they found another frozen ghost, and Luigi caught it. Then a blue chest appeared, and they found a medallion similar to the fire medallion, but it was blue and had a drop of water on it. Then Professor E. Gadd messaged Luigi on his Game Boy Horror.
“Hey now, guys! What have you stumbled across? ...Ohh… This time… it’s… a Water Element Medal! Now you can use the water element! My research shows that these particular elemental ghosts leave their watery dwellings whenever you approach. You know the drill… vacuum ‘em up! Then expel ‘em the same way as the fire. I hear there are some ghosts who can be defeated only by water, actually… Also, remember that water has purifying properties, so use it well…”
Luigi gave it to Fluttershy, who hosed down the flaming door. Then they caught the boo and shadowbolt, and then went through the door.
They were outside, but there was a dog house. Fluttershy filled the dog’s water dish with water and suddenly the dog appeared and woke up. Then he walked up to Fluttershy and licked her face.
“Down boy.” she said laughing, but then a skeleton ghost appeared.
“Fer the luvva dirt, make that yappy dog be QUIET!” the ghost said but then they caught him.
“Okay, now, I really don’t want to do this, but I think I need to catch you.”
The dog whined a little bit but let them catch him.
Then Luigi scanned the dog house, and teleported through it, but this time Fluttershy went too. There were in a graveyard. Then three ghost skeletons appeared, and Luigi and Fluttershy caught them. Then the biggest grave started glowing. They reluctantly walked towards it, and when they did, lightning a strange ghost appeared! He, or she, or it was purplish pink, and blobish, and even its, erm, arms had goo coming off of them! Both Luigi and Fluttershy screamed when it appeared! Then they were in someplace that was surrounded by an iron fence. Then the ghost appeared and they screamed, and then Luigi vacuumed it up, but then he realized that it wasn’t actually the ghost, but then saw the shadow and shot the goo ball it, and vacuumed up some of the ghost’s health, then Fluttershy did it, then they kept switching until they caught the ghost. Then they were teleported back to the graveyard, and they saw a chest. They opened it, and a key and a painting of Rainbow Dash was in it.
Then Luigi’s Game Boy Horror went off. “Luigi, can you hear me?” E Gadd. said. “Good to hear you and Fluttershy are still okay! I lost your signal when that lightning struck. Hmmm that was some battle, or battles if you each fought a different ghost, that you had there.”
“We both fought the ghost.” Fluttershy said.
“Okay, well, why don’t you two come back to the lab?” E. Gadd said.
“What if one of the Poltergusts are damaged?’ Luigi said.
“What? You think the lightning damaged one of the Poltergusts?” E. Gadd said. “Don’t worry about it! Even if that lightning had cooked your goose, the Poltergust 3000 wouldn’t even have a scratch! Heh heh!”
Luigi and Fluttershy went to the lab, and Professor E. Gadd had them turn the ghosts into painting, then Fluttershy put the painting of Rainbow Dash on the opposite end of the machine, and turned her back to normal.
“What happened?” Rainbow Dash said, and Fluttershy explained everything. Then Rainbow Dash said “Woah. Fluttershy, how did you become so brave?”
“I did it for you, Applejack, Rarity, Twilight, and Pinkie Pie.” Fluttershy said.
“This is a strange painting.” Professor E. Gadd said. “It says Bogmire, but I really don’t remember this one.”
Luigi and Fluttershy were surprised by that, but still went back to the mansion.
