Prologue First day amnesia problem.

It was a peaceful time in Equestria where every pony and other creatures have been living a good life.  Princess Celestia has been watching over her little ponies in Ponyville while maintaining order inside her castle in Canterlot.  She still misses her little sister Luna since she had been corrupted and transformed into Nightmare Moon a thousand years ago.  Celestia had no choice, but to use the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the moon.  It still made Celestia feel more sad that she wants her sister back since both of them had fought side by side to save everything in Equestria.  Even though they lost their parents a long time ago, they only want make peace and be strong.  Celestia's parents have told her that there is a new legendary alicorn stallion that will come and save Equestia someday from a new evil that is rising for power.  She still holds that promise from that time ago.  Before Celestia is going to use her magic to move the moon and rise the sun, she closed her eyes to make a wish upon the stars that there would be a pony that would learn about friendship and magic.

Little does Princess Celestia doesn't know is that wish had come true.  While she was moving the moon with her magic, that star had shined brightly and it was landing into Equestria a bit far away off from Ponyville.  The star had be hiding from anything and that it wouldn't be found while finding a hiding place to live in.  Upon reaching the forest and traveling across the rivers, it has landed into the beautiful peach garden full of beauty and a small river that it was clear and cleaned.  The star had landed on the ground by a peach tree and that it was shining brighter that it was forming a pony coming out of it.  The Pony had it's eyes closed and it was screaming that it felt like something had been scratching him all over it's body that it couldn't take anymore.  While the pony has now been formed for a few minutes it has now been calmed down and was now unconscious.  The star has been completely vanished into thin air and the pony has been sleeping peacefully and calm.

4 hours later...

The stallion pony has been sleeping well and that it's nightmare has ended.  When waking up on it's four hooves, the pony has been having troubles of standing up when getting attempts of walking and failing a bunch of times.  It's stomach has been growling a few times that he need a food and drink in order to gain it's strength back in him.  While walking around a bit and trying to find out about it's surroundings, the pony has now sniffed into the beauty around him and is very impressed.  The pony has been thinking of who he is and where is he.

"W-Where...am I...am I um.....the...only one in this.....lovely peace garden?" The stallion pony was lost in his words and trying to remember of who he actually is. "The uh...only name that.....I can think of.......is......J-Joel......H-H-Hopper.  I remember my name now!"

Joel has finally remembered his name now, but he still doesn't know the rest of his memories in his head.  He has been walking really happily about his real name and that he still was hungry and thirsty.  He had to find anything to eat and he had luck of finding a few apples delicious apples by a river in the field.  While trying to get an apple, he notices that in the river of a reflection of him.  He was gasping and really shocked about his new appearance right before him and had to shake it off somehow.

"T-This can't be happening to me!  I am now a pony and.......why do I have a tail on me?" Joel yelled out, but a bit confused.

His new appearance on his body was that his top head was mixed of black and blue.  The tail on him was also the same thing which does bothers him a little bit, but he just shrugs it off.  His new fur was now dark white which does look good with him.  On his flank were like not one, but two cutie marks for some reason.  The one on the left flank was a shining wing and the other is a book of magic.  That actually doesn't make sense for him that didn't remember of having tattoos on his sides, but that bothered him more when he notices of three small x marks on each side.  That also included number seven of an x on his head too and was very shocking and gasping for air anywhere.

"Okayokayokayokay Joel keepittogetherkeepittogether there's gotta be something to think of!" He shouted trying to keep calm.

'Think now think, what should a pony do to keep it normal around you.' He thought while walking in circles.

"Hmmmmmmm I don't remember of these markings on me.  Kinda creepy if I ask myself that." He said getting a shiver.

As Joel was pacing around to figure out of what to do, he realized that he must try to find out for himself.  While thinking about it for about a few minutes, he hears some noises of some creatures that is entering a peach garden.  He turns around slowly to not get scared or anything like that and he was in awe slightly a bit.  There was some birds that were chirping in the peach trees and that some other little animals are just relaxing by the rivers and trying to play with the pedals that keep falling down.

"At least that I'm not the only one in this beautiful forest here."He said smiling and yawning a bit.

"Well now let's see if there are any other animals in this garden."

While walking around to see any other living things, it seems that the animals are taking a liking to him pretty much.  A few squirrels and rabbits have jumped on Joel's back to relax and enjoy being passengers.  He was worried that those critters would try to attack him or something, but he just shrugs it off that it won't bother him if they feel okay around him.

"Weird little guys that jumps on my back.  Oh well time to get some rest and watch the sun shine."

About a few hours had passed since getting to see a lot more animals around the peach garden.  It was really happy to Joel of enjoying with just no loud noises, but it feels sad to him that there aren't any other ponies like him.  It's like no pony hasn't been around this beautiful garden and that no animals had seen any of them too.  They seemed to feel sad the same way as Joel is.

"Well at least the animals felt the same way like I do now.  Gotta get some rest now and hope for a better tomorrow."

When finding a place to rest somewhere, Joel has found an opening hiding spot near a bridge.  It was crossing between the rivers and help for support anything.  There wasn't anything that he could do, but just wait for any pony to show up.  The little critters were actually tired too since the sun was going down in the evening.  They all went back to their homes, but some of then had slept by Joel get some rest.

3 hours later at midnight...

When Joel had to wake up to get some fresh, he notices that some animals were sleeping beside him.  It looked really adorable that they were okay with him after all.  While walking on his hooves slowly to not wake them up, he had to go to the river to get some fresh water in order to clear his throat a bit.  By the time his thirst was now full, his ears had heard something that is strange coming by from a bit far away that is coming his way.  Quickly he had to take cover behind the bridge to not get spotted from anyone or anything.  The animals were really frightened for some reason as they went back home.  While hiding behind the bridge, he took a peek to see who those strange creature were from not getting spotted.  He saw two creatures of what look like ponies, but they have horn and wings on them.  Carefully looking at them he somehow feels cold of not wanting to greet them that he had to stay put.  

"Sir I know that this is where that light is, but it must have gone into hiding far away somewhere." Unknown pony said.

"Well keep searching for this thing everything even if we have to RIP EQUESTRIA INTO PIECES!!!" The other shouted with an evil noise.

About five minutes later, the strange ponies had given up and had flown off into the opposite direction of where they flew too.  Joel was now relived that he was safe for now.  This just can't be good if they find out about who he is to them.

'Whoever those ponies were it can't be good news for me.  I have to leave tomorrow for sure!' His mind was shouting feeling cold.

Checking to see if it's all clear now, Joel was now feeling calm now that everything is fine.  The animals had taken a peek to see if those ponies were all gone now.  They felt relaxed that they were gone and saw that Joel was now resting by his spot.  They went back by him to get some warm rest as he was now asleep now and that his journey will be starting tomorrow.  Hopefully not to get spotted again.

Prologue Second day avoiding trouble.

The next morning on the second day, Joel Hopper was resting up pretty well and that he didn't get a nightmare.  While waking up from his sleep and getting onto his hooves, he opened his eyes up and saw some food on the ground for him.  He didn't think of why the food was by him since he was waking up from at night and was feeling cold from those strange ponies.  It was a bit terrifying for him to think that what those ponies were going to do with him if they had spotted him behind the bridge.  While still feeling a bit shivered and scared, he notices that there was something that was touching his left hoof.  It was the same animals that slept by him.

"Hey there little guys, did you just given me some food to eat?" Joel said smiled that was being cared from the animals.

The little animals somehow did understood him, which got him confused a bit tilting his head.  They did nodded at him seeing that the little critters had sensed about him.  While chewing on some fruits and vegetables, Joel still can't quite understood of how these little animals have been warming up to him.  He only just met them from yesterday since he has some amnesia in his head.  So he just let that slide for now and continue to eat while the animals were enjoying their meals too.

"That was a very good meal, but I'm very sorry that I have leave everything one of you behind." He said felt a bit sad and frowned.

These little animals were sad too that he has to go find his kind somewhere out there, but they nodded and understood.  Before heading off to another destination to who knows where exactly, the little animals had created and gave him a saddle bag for him and put it some food and drinks inside it.  They also wrote down a location for him to go to what looks like a town a few miles away.  Joel had to memorize the whole thing for a minute and then nodded that  he now know of where to go.  The animals had given him a group hug before breaking away and to wave him goodbye.

"I'll come back again if there is any other pony that I can be friends with, see ya!" He shouted waving his hoof to them.

Now that Joel has everything that he really needs, he now goes on a journey to find a new home to sleep in.  It wasn't much sleeping in the peach garden fields, but he just feels a little uncomfortable that any pony would try to take advantage on him while asleep.  He shook out of his mind not knowing of what will happen to him.  While traveling further up to a dirt road, he had to think of something to somehow find a cover that can help wipe off those two tattoos that are on his flank.

'If I have to get into a resident town there has to be something to get rid of these tattoos.' He thought fixing in the gear head.

While finding the process of finding a way to cover up those in it's flank, the cutie marks on him has been glowing brightly and he had his eyes closed when ignoring it.  When the light has vanished into thin air, he opening his eyes to turn his head and finding out that those markings on his flanks have just disappeared.  Not knowing of what had just happened.

"Could have at least covered it up with some mud or dirt, but that wouldn't work either." He sighed and look straight back.

Judging by the time up in the sky, Joel has to take a few rest stops nearby to not exhaust himself.  By smelling some fresh air in new areas too explore, his hooves were getting tired of walking around since he's not use to it yet.  After having some rest stops and by traveling to a new location, he soon finds of what looks like a house or shop market if he hopes of finding a new home.  By walking inside the market place, he was in awe that there was a whole kinds of food and drinks including more ponies like him, but different actually on their forms of appearance that look like mostly females in here.  When walking up to a counter, he notices that there was a male stallion pony behind there.

"Howdy there young colt stallion.  May I help you with anything around here?" The middle-aged stallion employer said to Joel.

"Well um sir it's...my first time coming into this market and I don't uh have any money with me." Joel said felt disappointed.

"Nonsense your alright there young colt.  The names Wood Barren, but you can call me Woods anyway if you want heh!"

"H-Hi there Woods and my name is Joel Hopper.  Listen um... I-I was wondering if I can have a job today for uh some bits?"

"How come you want some bits Joel? Are you a spy or criminal in here?!" Woods said with a glaring eyebrow.

"N-No sir Woods honestly cause I really don't know my way around of anything... with my lost memories." Joel said depressed.

"Hmmmmm.....well I can see that you are telling the truth.  Okay you can work, but I got my eye on you."

"Y-You really think that I'm telling you the truth and that you'll let me work here for today?"

"But of course young Joey can't let a stallion getting hanging.  Flitter, Cloudchaser, come down here!" Woods shouted to the ponies.

Joel had to cover his ears with his hooves since he can't get use to a lot of noises from his own screaming.  While still wait for any pony to show up, Woods told Joel to wait there outside at the market for a few minutes while he is busy counting down the bits.  When a storm of rain was about to hit the in a few hours, Joel is a bit shaken up of hearing lightning a few miles away from him.  About some minutes later, a couple of ponies were outside to find Joel outside by the entrance.  He turned around to see two ponies that like sorta like twins to him for some reason.  One pony named Cloudchaser has spiky hair and both of her hair and tail were light blue/white.  Her cutie mark has of what you call a shooting star flowing by.  The other pony named Flitter has the same color too, but she has a pink bow in her hair.  Her cutie mark is what look like three little blue and white dragon flies.  Both of them are grayish blue pegasi mares and they also have eyes of light purple which also has Cloudchaser's eyes more of a rose type than Flitter.

"Hello there, my name is Flitter and this is my sister her Cloudchaser." Flitter said smiled cheerfully.

"Hi there Flitter and Cloudchaser.  I was wondering if I can get a job here for today, is that okay?" Joel said smiling not being rude.

"Nope problem Joel and um.....h-how come you got red markings on you?" Cloudchaser said feeling worried.

"Oh um I didn't get it from any pony.  I just lost my memories of how I got them in the first place."

"Do those look painful on you and how come you don't have a cutie mark on you?"

"I um can't really feel it actually and I don't remember of getting a cutie mark in the past.  Can um you two help me out, please?"

"Okay then, we can help you with the work for today and you can dry those marking off of you." Flitter said patting on Joel's back.

"Really, u-um I don't really know of what to say to you for helping me out."

"Don't mention it Joel, we be happy to help you with anyway we can!"

"T-Thank you both and um... you both have really nice color of hair and tail."  He said while the two mares turned away blushing.

As Joel was entering the shop again, both the two mares had agreed to let him have a job for today.  They both were telling him of what jobs to do while working in the market.  At first it was going great of carrying the food, but he had just slipped off his hooves when waking to another isle section and accidentally landed on Flitter when their faces were really close.  Joel quickly had to get up and just pretend that it didn't happened of any way.  She was feeling a bit blushed of how close he was of pressing his lips on her.  Some moments later is everything was now normal and no slips, until he did again and this time landed on Cloudchaser.  Luckily he didn't accidentally kissed both Flitter and Cloudchaser and just avoided that bad luck.  Of course he only wanted to be friends with them, but not a quick romance exactly.

'Dang I got to be careful of where to land or else there will be more mares that want me a whole lot.' He thought frightened inside.

While the three ponies were helping out of what another of food and drinks, Woods at the counted was really chuckled and holding his laughter of what he was seeing behind the scene.  That happened to him about some years ago when he was really young.  It still holds a lot of memories when he met his first mare in Ponyville.  He still holds that memory of that mare pony, before she past away.

7 hours later....

The sun is going to set soon and Joel has managed to hang in there of doing a great job in the market.  Flitter and Cloudchaser has done great of helping out sometimes.  Knowing that Joel has some carrying a lot things, he'll have to make sure to keep his hooves off of every mare ponies even if it's just an accident or that it could spark a relationship.  He didn't want to think of that cause he's just only try to remember of who he actually was.  By the time of shaking that mind off, Joel had to ask Woods something about a town somewhere.

"Hey Woods um, do you know of a town that is close by here on a train?"

"Sure thing Joey, the place that your going to is called 'Ponyville' where there are more mares than stallions."

"What is that supposed to mean by that Woods?" Joey said felt a bit uncomfortable of hearing that.

"Let's just say of what ever happens...you better be prepared of watching where you are going." Woods whispered with a smirk.

"Uh-huh I will um...keep that in mind if there is any mare that wants to get to know me more."

While having some conversations about what the mare ponies are like, Flitter and Cloudchaser were done working.  They couldn't help, but wonder of what Woods is talking to Joel about since they know about Woods more it can't be good.  Cloudchaser had an evil idea to get back at Joel for slipping up on her including her sister, but they had to wait until that moment has arrived.

"Hey there  Joel, have you finish up your job yet?" Cloudchaser said chuckling to herself.

"Yep I sure have been Cloudchaser.  Have you and your sister been done also of taking care of the drinks?"

"We've already done that and taken care of the leftovers.  You want to come with us on the train today later on?" Flitter said giggling.

"Yeah that would be fine with you two, but I still don't have any bits with me." Joel muttered felt a bit down.

"Since you have been very kind to help us out,  we'll be happy to pay for the train tickets."

"Wow thank you very much Flitter!  Okay I'll be ready in a few minutes, see ya Woods!"

"Anytime your welcome in here Joey.  Remember of what I told you about Ponyville!" Woods shouted and gave a wink to Joel.

Going out at night doesn't look so good for Joel, but he had to make that he is really safer there in Ponyville.  While trying to figure out of what food or drinks to take with him, Woods told him that there are some free meals on the pony express train.  He nodded to remember that as he was going to catch to Flitter and Cloudchaser.  While finding out on where train is, he notices that there was another pony that is talking to those two sisters.  The mares name is Colgate and her cutie mark represents an hour time glass with a toothpaste on it which is like a dentist.  She is a unicorn and has fur of light blue.  Her tail and hair are both dark blue streak and ice-colored while separately while her eyes are blue-ish.

"I got everything ready to Flitter and Cloudchaser.  Who is this other mare beside you two?"

"Oh hey there Joel, Colgate this here stallion is named Joel Hopper with no cutie mark." Cloudchaser said to Colgate.

"So this is the stallion that you two were talking about.  Looks like he's been having bad luck." Cogate whispered to the sisters.

"Hello there miss Colgate it is nice to meet you on this fine day." Joel said slightly lying about not wanting to be in the storm.

"Likewise Joel and you can just call Colgate.  Um what happened to you with those markings?" Colgate said worried and shocked.

"Well um I don't really remember of what happened when I told the same story to Flitter and Clouldchaser."

"Probably some amnesia there so I can just not talk about that for now.  Well then let's board the train you three!"

When the train has whistle loud that it's ready to get going to Ponyville in a few minutes,  Joel and the three mares have arrived on time to get a ticket on board.  The whistle had blown again and it was on it's way to a new town.  The sun has now been set and the moon is rising up while the heavy storm of rain is approaching near the train tracks.  Joel was now relaxed that he didn't get spotted yet.

Prologue Third day now arriving to Ponyville.

While Joel Hopper is having some troubles of adjusting life here with being a pony, he has to just get use to it.  Moments before of screaming in pain of being a pony, he doesn't remember of who he was or where is home is at what his family.  He never even thought about of what his family is just doing without him.  Since having four hooves, seven x marks, and cool looking tail he actually likes it.  He's gonna miss those little animals by the peach garden and that one day he'll return there with that promise for sure.  When at night in the garden on his first day with those critters, he still feel cold about what he remember about those unknown ponies with both a horn and wings on them.  He just has to make sure that no other pony can learn about that, but only for himself that he can't risk of having the innocent ponies get caught up in a battle of those unknown creatures.  He'll have to wait and lay low until that time comes whey they find him.

Upon traveling a few miles from the peach garden and waving goodbye, Joel has made it to a habitant of other ponies like him that looks different by his appearance.  Some ponies were shocked about his markings and didn't want to talk to him.  He wasn't that much into talking, but it feels sad of what they might think of him that he was being abused and doesn't have a cutie mark which did vanished.  Luckily for him he was able to be friends with Woods, Flitter, Cloudchaser, and Colgate that he was very happy to see that he was relived.  After of what they said of what had happened to him, he just told him that he can't remember of where he was or why there are markings on him.  He just didn't want to get into a lot of details about his past life since having some amnesia problems.

As the storm was passing by the train at night, Joel was with Flitter, Cloudchaser, and Colgate was on there since helping out the two sisters at the pony market.  He still remembered of those slip ups and he didn't want it to go any further.  Least that now the two sister didn't try to sock him up or beating him up since he felt embarrassed of that.  While train wasn't going to reach Ponyville until the morning, Joel was going to ask about what the three mares lives had been into that small town up ahead.

"So what kind of ponies are all of you since I can't remember what my life was actually, no offense." Joel said asking nicely.

"None taken Joel, me and sister are pegasi and my cutie mark is a shooting star to race around." Cloudchaser said being proud.

"My cutie mark is three blue and white dragonflies and I mostly help out my sister." Flitter said giggling and slightly blushed.

"Well my cutie mark is an hourglass and my talent is helping pony's teeth clean and healthy." Colgate said cheerful and happy.

"Wow those are some interesting cutie marks and talents too.  I wish that I could have my own talent and cutie mark as well."

"Really, what kind of talent have you got before you lost your memory Joel?"

"Can't quite tell of what it was Colgate, but it must have something to do about like being yourself I guess."

While continuing on in the conversation with some laughs and jokes, Flitter and her sister Cloudchaser were too tired and they have to go in and sleeping behind the door inside the train.  Both Joel and Colgate were now alone together and they were relaxing and watching the scenery going by as the rain outside still pours down.  He was still scared of those lightning outside that he didn't want to hear it.

"You feeling okay there Joel cause it's like your really shaken from this storm." Colgate said feeling a bit worried to him.

"Y-Yeah it's just um...this storm just gives me nightmares sometimes." Joel muttered not to yell out in front of her.

"Is that why that your having some trouble of remembering everything?"

"Partially yes, but maybe it's just something else that it wants to make me afraid and to be alone again."

"Oh Joel... it'll be alright.  You have me, Woods, Flitter, and Cloudchaser as your friends right?" Colgate said hugging onto Joel.

"Y-You and the rest consider me as a friend?  I-I never had any friends in a long time." He said having tears coming out of him.

"Of course we do Joel, cutie mark or not you will always be you and that you can help any pony out while being yourself."

"T-Thank you Colgate f-for being a friend to me." He said as he was hugging her too of accepting her words.

After a few moments of embracing their hug, they broke away and both of them feel better now.  Joel was very tired from walking around and having some talks that he went to bed behind the doors.  Colgate was really smiling happily that she was able to comfort him about his troubled times and that he might open up more about his past experience.  About an hour had passed by, she was finally going to be able to get some rest.  Before doing so, she heard some whimpering that was coming from Joel.  While walking in slowly and closing the door to not wake him up, Colgate was shocked and surprised of seeing Joel crying in his sleep.  Whatever it was that was making him feel really sad, her ears were slowly flattened of seeing him being suffered like this with no family or where he was.  She was feeling the same way when she was little, but that was in the past and she to do something to make him feel better.  Walking up by his bed, Colgate used her magic to move the covers and slowly tucking herself in and wrapping her hooves on Joel's back.  She used her magic again to cover the blankets on both of them while he was now feeling calmed down and continued sleeping peacefully.

The morning sun rising...

The train has whistled loudly signaling that it will be arriving at Ponyville in a few moments.  Meanwhile inside the train, Joel was able to open his eyes from his nightmare and he was sweating a little bit.  He couldn't figure out why it was a bad dream.  It was something in his mind about six ponies that needed help from him and that there was a city that will be destroyed sooner though.  He thinks that it will help him, but will just worry about that another time.  When standing up on his hooves there was something that is holding his back.  He turns around to see that Colgate was sleeping beside him.  It was adorable seeing her sleeping like a young filly, but what got weirder when he was sitting up were both Flitter and Cloudchaser was in his own room sleeping by his back hooves.

'Either I had one too many drinks last night or had a concussion.' Joel thought when checking anything wrong to him.

"WAKE UP EVERY PONY WE ARE NOW ARRIVING INTO PONYVILLE!" The train employer shouted out loud.

The three mares were now waking up by Joel and were rubbing their eyes to see.  While yawning out loud and stretching up, they just paused to turn their heads to Joel that he has both eyebrow raised up and he does not look happy to them.

"Sleep well you adorable little fillies?" He said chuckled to see them real cute of yawning.

"O-Oh um good morning Joel w-we were just about to wake and not disturb you right girls?!" Colgate shouted when her face was red.

The other two sisters were red too and all three of them just had to get up to head out of the door.  They were trying to catch some breathes to cool down while Joel was real confused of why those girls had just ran off from his room.

'I'm not gonna understand a lot about mares and why are their tongues orange?' He thought rubbing his head to wake up more.

As the rest of every pony on the train were waking up, they grabbed their belongings and headed out of the train to go back home.  Joel was with the three mares as they headed out into the station.  He was amazed to see that there are more ponies in town than he had expected this way.  When heading out to see any other places the ponies were gasping and shocked to see Joel's scares on his body that they turned away to not bother him.  He didn't know of how they react to him cause he just only wanted to say hi or hello, but it looks like it wasn't going so well for a few minutes.  Joel was feeling hurt and sad that no pony would want to talk to him.  Before going back to get on board the train Colgate, Flitter, and Cloudchaser stop him from getting on.

                "Joel I know what your gonna do and you can't get aboard like that.  Just because these ponies don't want to talk with you doesn't mean not all of them are like this.  If you want want to get to know every pony here, then don't try to runaway from your own problems." Colgate said in a serious tone.

                "I know that Colgate, but how can they be okay with me like these x marks?" Joel muttered.

                "It'll be alright, just make sure to be friendly to them in a kind way." Flitter said cheering him up.

                 "That's right Flitter and don't just back down already.  Just be yourself and have to enjoy more friends along the way than us three here for you!" Cloudchaser said patting on Joel's head rubbing it.

"Guess you three are right cause it would be rude of me.  Okay I can give it a shot to explore a bit." He said feeling really better.

"Good for you Joel if you need anything, I'll be around Sugarcube Corner later on." Colgate said point him to that direct.

When Joel nodded that he knows what to do, the four ponies have parted ways.  Cloudchaser and Flitter say that they have to go join a group training of weather ponies in the sky.  Colgate is going back to her dentist home to organized some teeth cleaning.  Seems now he is going on his own to go on a mission being friends to whoever can accept for who he is exactly.  First stop on the map is to go explore at a place called 'Sweet Apple Acres'.  While taking some walks on the road further in, he was a bit surprised to see there is a small farm that is filled with a lot of apple trees and it seems to be pretty close by a forest on the right.  Looking around to see if there are any ponies living on the farm he saw and orange pony with a cowgirl hat on.  Her cutie mark is three apples, her fur is regular or somewhat orange, her tail/hair are both yellow, and she has emerald eyes.  Joel watches carefully to see how this girl can get these red apples from a tree.  To his shocking surprise the cowgirl pony used her back hooves to buck an apple tree a hard shake and a lot of apples came falling down into the basket.  When grabbing some more baskets full of apples, the cowgirl notices the stallion had a jaw dropped of seeing her buck an apple tree.  Clearly she thinks that there's a new stallion in town as she walks up to him.

"Hey there new stallion stranger, welcome here ma'h home here in Sweet Apple Acres." She said waving a hoof to get his attention.

"Oh uh sorry about I kinda lost my thoughts since I saw you buck that tree there." Joel said sheepishly shaking his head.

"Heh heh you are a strange one. Ma'h names Applejack and what about you funny stallion?" Applejack said shaking his hoof fast.

"Hello there Applejack my name is Joel Hopper.  I'm just new here in Ponyville today." He said trying to hold tight his shakily hoof.

"Well howdy there Joel Hopper welcome to Ponyville.  Say uh what are those marks on ya anyway an why don't ya got any cutie marks on ya flanks anyway?" She said inspecting his body marks closely.

"I can't quite remember cause I got amnesia problems in my head, nothing really much." He said saying it the truth mostly.

"Hmmmm... well ya seem ta be tell'in you ta truth.  Okay then come on I'll show ya around ma'h farm here."

Joel nodded his head so he can follow Applejack to see everything about her farm.  The Sweet Apple Acres is pretty cool if you have to work hard in order to build up a lot of muscles in you.  Applejack was explaining to Joel about how you have to buck some trees for apples and that you could cook them to eat including selling most of them to customers to get some bit to help her farm and family.

"So uh Applejack where are your family at, are you the only one here on the farm?"

"Gosh no Joel, ma'h family is getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration tomorrow morn'in.  Ma'h little sister Applebloom is with Granny Smith to help pack some decorations in Ponyville an ma'h brother had to recover from his back hooves a week ago."

"No wonder every pony in that town was acting suspicious since I arrived here anyway."

"Could be that or because of your appearance is scaring away every pony.  No matter though I'm sure that ya can wash it up."

"I hardly doubt that it will come off if I was showering.  Good thing there ain't no pain on me now."

"Yea I guess yer right about that.  So where are ya from exactly, no pony has ever got those seven x marks before."

"That's just it, my amnesia problem has me lost my way home and I don't where it is.  Although the one thing that I can remember is when I was in pain and just woke in a peach garden miles away from Ponyville."

"Wow that's a bummer ta hear it." Applejack said felt down of hearing his pain of losing his home.  "Well then why don't ya have an a couple of apples here, they taste mighty good ya know?"

Josh had took a couple of bite, to his amazed taste of it, they tasted really good. "This taste pretty awesome Applejack!"

"Thanks sugarcube, no pony doesn't resisted of tasting these mighty apples from ma'h family on our farm here.  We take good care of them when planting and growing every apple trees." She said proudly of what her family does.

"Really impressed when your family does all the hard work.  So um how much do these apples cost?"

"No charges here Joel, that's fer help'in me keep a good conversation with ya.  Well I gotta head back ta work, see ya Joel!"

He waved a hoof to her while walking back to the road up ahead.  There was some great flowers nearby including some animals that were relaxing and chewing on grass.  About five minutes later he comes across a house sorta look like a cottage or hut give or take. When approaching to the house, he knocks on the door and looks like no one answered, just says that it's Fluttershy's home.  Then he hears some singing behind the house on the other side of it.  Walking up slowly to not get spotted he sees a pegasi mare pony looking beautiful to sing.  He was awe struck to see her long tail and head are pink.  Her fur is yellow and her eyes are like light blue sorta of a gem color.  Her cutie mark is three pink butterflies.  Joel just sat behind the house for a minute to see her singing well with no word that sung wrong.

'This girl named Fluttershy does sound kinda cute.  Better get going before she spots me.' He thought shaking his head to normal.

When traveling to another distance to head back into town, he didn't realize the apple had fallen out of his saddle bag.  The apple was speeding down the hill until it bumped into Fluttershy.  She squeaked to turn around of who touched her, but it was just an apple on the ground.  While finding out who dropped it, she turns her head to see a stallion walking by away from her house including some scars on him.  She think that he must of dropped the apple and not notice her.  By the time that she was going to ask him about the apple and his scars, it was too late that he disappeared.  She hopes to see him again if he comes back to her house.

"Man I am so tired from walking with my hooves on.  Gotta find a place to rest." Joel said yawning walking up to a bench.

While it's still day light out Joel had to ease his mind to smell the air before sleeping away.  Some minutes had passed since no pony wanted to bother him until there was a pegasi mare in the clouds that notice him sleeping on the bench.  She slowly flew down to not try and wake him up with her wings.  Her hair and tail are rainbow colored and her is sorta light blue.  Her eyes are like rose color which is like a magenta gem inside with a twinkling center maybe and her cutie mark is a rainbow lightning thunderstorm cloud if that is right. She tapped her hoof a few times to his head to see if he was okay.

"Hmmmmm who keeps tapping me while I'm trying to sleep here?" Joel muttered slowly opening his eyes.

"Oh um sorry about that.  Heh I thought that you gotten beat up pretty badly." The light blue pegasi pony said.

"I've been through worse, but I don't remember getting these scars here.  So who are you anyway?" He said rubbing his eyes better.

"You don't know who I am exactly?!  The names Rainbow Dash and I am the fastest pegasus flyer in all of Equestria so that I will one day join the legendary Wonderbolt's team to show off my new skills!" Rainbow shouted flying in some circle and landing by him.

"Never heard of them or of this land that you call Equestria here.  I just arrived here today." He said then stretching out his body.

"YOU NEVER HEARD OF THEM BEFORE?!?!" She shouted and he shook his head.  "Wow what a bummer, so what's you name?"

"My name is Joel Hopper and don't ask about these scars.  I also don't know of my own cutie mark since having amnesia."

"Dang that must have been pretty hard for you in your life.  Believe me I had some rough life too since being a little filly."

"You and me both here on that path.  So um... you have some free time to talk anyway?" He said while getting off the bench.

"Sure thing Joey, I got some free time until I get back to weather patrolling."

During their conversation, Rainbow Dash told some amazing stories about the Wonderbolt's team and their awesome weather controls including some stunt competition.  Joel was really impressed about the whole thing about them since he would also like to see them one day.  It was his turn to tell Rainbow about his story except the part about those unknown ponies.  She was shocked and surprised about telling the truth about his memory loss and no idea of these seven x markings with no cutie mark.

"So let me get this straight.  No memory of where you live, no family, and no cutie mark?" She explained getting the whole thing in.

"It is true though, I really hate not knowing of what is in my head." He said felt depressed in defeat.

'Poor guy, he must have been through a lot more than myself.' She thought trying to think of something making him feel better.

"Say um Joey, how about tomorrow I can invite you to the Summer Sun Celebration?  It'll be 20% cooler with you there!"

"Is that really okay with you?  I um don't want to be just a burden to you or any other pony." He said turning his head to her.

"There's nothing wrong taking you with me.  I'll make sure to cheer you up somehow." She said giving her word with a hoof.

"Thank you Rainbow Dash it can at least help.  You aren't that bad after all, plus that color on your mane does fit pretty well to me."

"T-Thanks for the complement." She said turning her head slightly blushing from what he said to her.  "Well it's getting a little late, I better get going then, see ya tomorrow Joey and the party will be great for sure!" She shouted below him and flying off somewhere.

Rainbow Dash was really happy to help Joel about taking him to a party tomorrow since he did complement about her and tail since no pony talked about her like that, but she can't shake the feeling of why he doesn't have a cutie mark and where he is from.  Ignoring that for now, she'll have to wait some time if really does want to talk about it.

While walking around more to see if there's any other house business to visit, Joel had to choose something before nightfall.  He picks the road that goes to the 'Canterlot Boutique' shop for clothes with ponies of fashion.  He hopes that there won't be any crazy pony that likes everything about fashion disasters or providing on something else to say the least.  When knocking on the door with a hoof, he wait to see if anyone had heard it till something dropped inside and was quickly coming to the door.  It was opened to see a unicorn mare that has purple curly hair and tail.  Her fur is really white and her eyes are blue which is also like her cutie mark of three diamonds.

"Hello there dear customer~. What can I get you for tod-" The unicorn pony paused to see Joel badly scars on his fur and head.

"H-Hello there my name is Joel Hopper.  I just arrived in Ponyville today and are you designer here?" He said little bit creep out.

"Y-Yes I am and you can come in." The unicorn said shook her to let him in.  "My name is Rarity and I work here in the Boutique."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Rarity.  I was wondering if there is some way to cover these marking up just in case."

"But of course Joel and why do you have those markings on you anyway including no cutie mark on you?"

When both of them taken a seat inside, Joel had told Rarity about his story mostly of losing his memories and family.  He also told her about how he doesn't know about his cutie mark and his seven x marking on him.  She felt pretty down to see that he must have been so lonely that no pony could ever talk to him like that.  Which then she poured some tea to let him have a drink to feel better.

"Good heavens that must have been really terrible for you!  Your saying that you can't remember at all?" Rarity said wide eyes open.

"Indeed, that is why I need something to cover these markings to know that I'm not a freak to any pony."

"Don't ever say that darling, you don't look like a freak to me. Tell you what, tomorrow at night I can patch you up if it bothers you."

"I uh just don't know Rarity.  Getting these will be really painful again you know?"

"Don't you worry about that.  I can think of some ways to clear that up for you." She said cheerfully happy.

"I'll just remember that, so what of designs do you do with making clothes for every pony."

"Well now darling, my talent is finding gems and making clothes for the display of them gems that are carved inside the clothings."

"They really do know how to shine better.  Mighty impressive to make gems into clothings and creating better designs."

"Very kind of you to complement on my designs.  They do really stand out gorgeous if I do say so myself." She said sheepishly.

"Yes they sure do.  Well I better get going now, it's talking with you Rarity and see ya tomorrow." He said waving and closing the door.

'Joel is a really strange handsome gentlecolt to me.  Maybe I can find a design for him when he comes back.' She thought bit blushed.

When taking some fresh air outside from the Boutique inside, Joel has to talk with Colgate to see if she can share a room with him since he doesn't have any bits with him.  While walking around to see where she is at, he can't help shake the feeling that someone or some pony was following him close by.  He had to take precaution if those same unknown ponies are still following him.  Somehow he doesn't feel that cold feeling inside like those unknown ponies are not here in Ponyville.  There must be a different pony that actually stalking him or just try to be friends with him.  Either way he shook it off and soon found Colgate by Sugarcube Corner as she saw him too.

"Hey there Joel, how was everything going today?  Been making some friends already?" Colgate said giggled seeing him again.

"Hi Colgate and well I made a few friends today, but hopefully see them again tomorrow.  Say um can I have a place to stay today since I don't have any bits with me?" He said while grabbing an apple from his saddle, but nothing was in it.

"Well since you did make friends today... I guess you can stay at my place." She said smiling happy letting him stay at her place.

"U-U-Uh are you sure that it would be a great idea Colgate?" He said nervously from what she said.

"Why of course Joel, plus it would get your teeth cleaner while I can do some work, does that sound good?"

Joel had no words to say in defeat, but just nodded since he doesn't feel like sleeping outside at night with that rain storm.  He was still nervous of going to sleep at a girls house.  He never would have since he only wants to get to know a girl for more than six months till he actually wants to be in a girls house.  While both Colgate and Joel were entering her home inside, he was surprised and impressed that she was well organised to write down everything about being a dentist and to know how a clean teeth can help your body feel better.  They both had some talk when eating dinner, going to the bathroom one at a time to shower, and then head upstairs to go to bed.  Luckily for him, there wasn't a king sized bed which is perfect to sleep only on one bed while she sleeps on the other.

"Okay this is where you will be sleeping at since my roommate Lyra is at Bon-Bon for a few days." Colgate said pointing it to him.

"Thank you Colgate and again for cheering me up to make some friends on my own." He said feeling relived to relax more.

"Your welcome Joel, what are friends for?  Well now we better get to bed." She said yawning a bit and walking to her bed.

Joel did the same as he was walking to his new bed.  After finally got some rest from this crazy day, he still feels happy to make some friends and maybe possibly more if he wanted to know more about them.  Things will be more challenging when tomorrow will be the Summer Sun Celebration since there will be new friends and new enemies awaiting for Joel Hopper.

Chapter 1 Friendship is Magic part 1.

"Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria, there were two legal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for the land.  To do this, the eldest, used her unicorn power to raise the sun at dawn.  The younger, brought out the moon to begin the night.  Thus the two sisters maintain balance for their kingdom and their subjects.  All the different types of ponies, but as time went on the younger sister became resentful.  The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night time.  One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn.  The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young ones heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness 'Nightmare Moon'.  She vowed that she would spread the land into eternal night.  Reluctantly the elder sister had harnessed the most powerful magic known to Ponyville, the 'Elements of Harmony'.   Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony she defeated her sister and banished her permanently to the moon.  The elder sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon and Harmony has been maintained in Equestria generation since."  The unicorn pony read.

"Hmmmmm 'Elements of Harmony'... I know that I've heard of those before, but where exactly?" The unicorn mare said thinking.

Meanwhile in Ponyville before noon...

Joel was sounding asleep since getting a room at Colgate's place when he had not bits with him.  After finally getting some relaxation, he was yawning and waking up to see where he is right now.  To him he does remember some things from yesterday and was asking Colgate for a place to rest for tonight.  He can smell something cook when his stomach was growling for food.  He shook it off then headed to the source of breakfast time hour.  To his surprising the food has already been made waiting for two ponies to chow down.

"Gooooood morning sleepy head~!  How was your night here anyway?" Colgate said rather cheerfully to Joel.

"Ummm morning Colgate I had rough sleep sometimes and now I feel fine.  Say uh how come you had an apron on you?" Joel said rubbing his head confuse.

"My apron, O-OH um i-it's nothing really what you honestly heh heh." She said slight blush embarassed then taking off the apron.

"Whatever... so can we eat now, I'm starving here.  Also after that I'll showering and brush my teeth then okay?"

Colgate nodded her head while shaking off her mind of what she just worn to impress him or something.  Both of them had taken a seat to enjoy their breakfast at the table.  The taste of the food is really good to him and that made her notice his reaction.  She feels happy to see him smiling to eat her good food.  She thinks that he can probably stay here as long as he wants which would be a good idea, but he doesn't have any bits with him since his amnesia problems.  She'll have to wait and tell him some other time.  By the time they finish breakfast, he headed into the bathroom for a shower then brush his teeth.  He was done in a nick of time so that she'll go in next.

"I better get going now Colgate.  There's gonna be a party tonight and I can't miss it one bit."

"Okay Joel, be sure to say hi to the new girl that's going to visit!" She shouted to him then closed the bathroom door.

'Hum a new girl in Ponyville.  Must be from that castle high above the hills.' He thought for a sec to shrug it off.

When taking walks to see what's up ahead, Joel paused to see a unicorn mare with a baby dragon on her back.  The unicorn has light purple on her fur.  She also has both the hair and tail are dark purple, but one line of dark pink which her eyes are regular purple.  Her cutie mark has six stars with one big red one in the middle.  Both the unicorn and baby didn't notice to head into Joel's front path.

"Like I told you before Twilight, you need make some friends before preparing for Princess Celestia's arrival." The dragon said to her.

"I know what you mean Spike, but I can't focus on that right now when the disaster will be here any time soon."  Twilight said.

"Hey there new visitors and welcome to Ponyville for the Summer Sun Celebration." Joel greeted them nicely to get her attention.

"Oh uh hi there and thanks for welco-" Twilight was paused and surprised to see Joel's scars on him.

'Yesh how many would stop focusing my x marks on me?' He thought getting annoyed of thinking it.

"It's alright these markings are nothing painful.  Anyway my name is Joel Hopper and what's your name?" He said extending a hoof.

Twilight snapped out of looking at his markings. "Sorry about that Joel, my name is Twilight Sparkle." She said greeting her hoof.

"My name is Spike the dragon and I'm Twilight's number one assistant!" He shouted getting his claw to Joel's hoof.

"So you must be from Canterlot.  Never been there before and what brings you here anyway Twilight?"

"Well Spike and I were going to check the party list for the Celebration so need a tour guide to help us out here."

"I can at least help you out there.  Okay then let's get this show on the road."

Twilight was now relived to have some guide around town to at least have some conversation.  While taking a walk together Joel has some talk with spike which he was hatched by Twilight and then she became a student to Princess Celestia at Canterlot.  Joel was really shocked to hear that Twilight is a student to her new teacher.  Spike also told him that Twilight needs to get out more and to make some new friends along the way which Joel does feel the same way.

"So being a student, reader egghead, and learning about making friends that sounds promising." Joel chucked to himself.

"Hey I am not an egghead!" Twilight said feeling embarrassed in anger.

"I was just kidding in fact I dig girls that are my kinda liking to me heh heh." He said smirking from some laughs.

"What did he mean by Spike?" She said a little confused there.

"From what I can tell he likes mares that reads rather well."  Spike said giving Twilight a small blush in which just shakes it off. "Why, you like him already?" he teased to her.

"N-No not like that Spike.  He is just our tour guide today and that is final." She said ignoring that part.

"Sure you think so and hey look, there's a pony that you would be friends with.  Go say hello to her." He said pointing his claw.

When Twilight was saying hello to the earth pink pony mare, it gasps out lound for a sec then runs away.  Joel, Twilight, and Spike were real confused as to what had happened there, but Joel just shrugs his shoulder so that he can continue on.  They now went to Sweet Apple Acres to which Joel did met Applejack yesterday.

"Howdy there Joel and who's the new girl with ya huh?" Applejack said thinking he's actually with a mare friend.

"It's not like that Applejack, this here is Twilight Sparkle and her assistant Spike that came from Canterlot."

"He's right and nice to meet you Applejack. We were wondering if you got everything ready for the Celebration." Twilight said.

"These here apples have already been taken care of including some of ma'h families apple pies, which reminds me." Applejack said ready for a loud noise. "SOOOUUUUPS OOOONNN EVERY PONY!!!!!"

Joel notices some ponies coming his way behind so he just steps aside further away leaving Twilight and Spike the victims.  The rampaging apple family reunion to lift Twilight and Spike in a dining table to which Joel was safe from it.

'I should have brought a video tape with to catch this funny scene here.' He thought while holding his giggle of laughter.

Twilight was having a hard time to process Applejack's family members and serving her whole bunch of apple recipe foods.  Good thing Spike was enjoying some apples.  While being a victim to Applebloom's puppy eyes, Twilight was glaring her eyes to Joel by the grass and that he was laughing too hard at this.  She vowed to one day get him back when this whole party plan is over.

2 hours later passing noon...

"That was the first ever funniest thing to see you two get every bite of different apples." Joel said catching he breathing.

"I know right, my stomach is having battle for gems instead of food." Spike said holding onto his scroll on Joel's back.

"NOT HELPING SPIKE AND YOU COULD HAVE JUST SAVED US FROM THIS WHOLE FAST FOOD HERE INSTEAD OF JUST WATCHING AND LAUGHING BEHIND THE CROWD!" Twilight shouted trying not to puke from her yelling.

"Sorry about that Twilight I'll try to make it up to you tonight somehow." He said pleading his eyes to her.

"Ugh whatever, so Spike what's next on the list?"

"Well it says here that Rainbow Dash is in charge of weather patrol, but I don't see her." Spike said looking anywhere to see her.

"Well it looks like she's not doing a very good job now is she-?" She was cut off when Rainbow crashed into her in the mud.

"Heh heh heh excuse me here let me help you out." Rainbow said giggled of how she messed up then used a rain cloud to move it above Twilight.  She patted the cloud to rain on her which is still not working.

"I guess that I over did it um... how about this." Rain said holding her laughter then thought of something.  She twirled her speed around twilight till the timer was up.  "My very own pattern 'Rain Blow Dry', no no don't thank me your quite welcome."

Twilight's weird hair appearance was too much for Rainbow and Spike were now broke of silence into burst of laughs.  Joel was just too tired of laughing that hard so he didn't want to upset Twilight again.

"Let me guess, you must be Rainbow Dash." Twilight said glaring at both of them.

"The one and only, why, have you heard of me?" Rainbow said excited while flapping her wings in the air.

"I heard that you were supposed to be keeping the sky cleared.  ( sighed) My name is Twilight Sparkle and the princess has sent me to check on the weather here in Ponyville."

"Yeah yeah I'll do that in a minute.  Just as soon as I will be done practicing."

"Practicing for what anyway?"

"THE WONDERBOLTS, they're gonna perform for the celebration tomorrow and I'm gonna show'em my stuff."

"Hey Twilight, why don't you start try to intimidate her skilled flying moves?" Joel whispered to her.

She nodded her head to outsmart Rainbow at her own game.  Joel stepped back on his a bit to see how this will work out.  After some conversation had finish, Rainbow then started flapping her wings to eliminate all the clouds to show Twilight that she can clear them up ten seconds flat.  Twilight and Spike had their jaws dropped that all the clouds are gone leaving Rainbow laughing in victory.

"Exactly ten seconds Rainbow Dash great job!" Joel shouted waving his hoof.

"See I told you ten seconds flat Twilight we should hang out some more.  Hey there Joel what's up today?" Rainbow said flying to him.

"Eh not much on my part.  I'm being a tour guide for Twilight today from Canterlot."

"Wow that must be real boring to explain everything.  So did I miss something that you didn't laugh?"

"Well something was funny at Sweet Apple Acres.  I'll tell you when I'm finished being a tour guide okay?"

"I'll keep that promise then, see ya later Joel!" Rainbow said while flapping her again to fly off.

When that was over he told Twilight that he can get her hair fixed at Canterlot Boutique.  While Both Twilight and Spike were following him to the Boutique fashion shop, he then walked in to see that Rarity was busy inspecting bows and ribbons.

"Hmmm no no that's not it and well this just won't do here." Rarity said focused on the ribbons.

Hey there Rarity, how is everything going today in your shop?" Joel said waving his hoof.

"Oh hello Joel what bring you here and good heavens what happened to this girls mane?!" She gasped to see Twilight's weird look.

"It's a long story there and I was wondering if you can help with Twilight Sparkle's mane if you don't mind?"

"But of course darling, a friend of Joel is a friend of mine.  Come along Twilight let's get you fixed up."

While having some girl talk, Spike was asking Joel of how he knows Rarity.  Joel just told Spike that he met her yesterday to see she can help him about the seven x markings.  He was feeling bad that other ponies didn't want to speak with him cause of an abusive family or something that they think of.  Spike felt the same way that no pony would talk to him from his appearance for some time.  They then agreed to help out one another about their condition.  Now that things were cool now, Rarity was done dressing up Twilight and fixed her mane.

"Well um Rarity I am a student in Canterlot and-" Twight was cut short form Rarity's gasp.

"You are from Canterlot?!  Oh I've always dreamed of going there about the rich and fabulous dresses.  I can't wait to hear all about it.  You and I are gonna be the best of friends." Rarity said in a cheerful accent.

Without a warning while Rarity was getting a new dress, Twilight grabbed Spike with her magic to get away from her.  Joel was a bit confused of what had happen now that Rarity got a dress and was disappointed that Twilight was gone.

"That was unexpected, your feeling alright Rarity?" Joel said waving his hoof at her.

"Well um not quite darling.  It  just bothers me sometimes that some customers storm off like that." She said felt down about it.

"You can't always try to go talking more about your life you know?"

"I know that Joel, but I can't help it about what I do for everything about fashion and gems that I collected here."

"Hmmmmm tell you what, when you visit her tonight just go apologize to her and I'm sure that she'll tell you about Canterlot okay?"

"I guess your right, okay I'll tell her and thank you Joel." Rarity said hugging him then break off.

"Don't mention it Rarity.  Well, can't wait for too long for Twilight's tour, see ya later Rarity." He said then headed outside.

Joel was now heading out to find Twilight and Spike waiting for him.  He caught up to them and then headed out on road to find where the cottage he has seen before when Fluttershy was singing.  The beautiful voice from Fluttershy that Joel was calmed to in a melody reminded him something in his memory.  As remembering it, he snapped of his mind to hear some birds chirping somewhere.

'Hey it's that mare from yesterday.  I wonder what she's doing with those birds?' He thought hiding in the bushes with the other two.

He was barely hearing something about the birds wrong note that he sees the pink maned pegasi float up to one of the birds.  Before Joel was going to go walk up to her, Twilight came out of the bushes to say hello which scared off the birds to the pegasi squeaked.

'Nice going Twilight real smooth to ruin the audience disappointment.' He thought shook his head then turned to Spike.

'Don't look at me buddy, Twilight breaks the rules most of the times.' Spike sighed in his thoughts.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to frighten your birds.  I'm just here to check on the music and it sounded beautiful." She said smiled awkwardly as the pink maned pegasi floated down hiding her eyes. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, what's your name?"

"Um... I'm... Fluttershy." She quietly said backing up a little.

"I'm sorry what was that?"

"Um... m-my name is F-Fluttershy." She more quietly said.

"Didn't quite catch that."

"Uh Fluttershy." She said feeling awkward talking as her birds were coming back the tree spot.

"Weeeeeell it looks like your birds are back.  Everything is in order so keep the good work." Twilight said turning away.

When heading back to Joel and Spike they shook their heads at her saying that it wasn't cool.  She felt down about interrupting that scene which could have been more beautiful if not getting distracted.  When heading back, Fluttershy's eyes were wide opened.

"Gasp! A BABY DRAGON!" She shouted a little then bumped Twilight out. "I've never seen a baby dragon, he's soooo cute!"

"Well well well." Spike smirking or taunting at Twilight who was upside down.

"Oh my and it talks I never heard dragon can talk.  It's so incredible that I-I just don't know what to say." Fluttershy said floating up.

"Compared to how he'll be as an adult, he does have the guts with his pride." Joel said as Spike nodded to his agreement.

Fluttershy then turned to who that stallion.  Her eyes widened again to see that it was him from yesterday.  She recognized the colt from when he didn't realize he dropped an apple of his saddlebag.  She flew down at him to see those markings.

"Uh h-hello there my name Joel Hopper." He nervously said bit awkward at seeing the mare checking his body.

"Oh... um m-my name is Fluttershy and I was wondering of how you got those marks i-if that's alright." She said now focused.

"Well it's just hard to say, but I have a lot of amnesia and I don't know about these markings on me." He said scratching his head.

"Does it still on you, is it alright if I can patch up your markings if that bothers you?"

"Naw it's okay you don't have to... (sigh) but that bothers me that much so why not cover it up?"

"Great then, I'll be back with some first aid kit in a few minutes!" She said sheepishly then head back home.

While waiting for her Joel and Spike helped up Twilight to see if she's alright.  Luckily there was no damaged as Fluttershy has made it back to cover Joel's marks.  He was a bit nervous when being touched on those spots, but just have to deal with it.  After putting on some bandages including some smooth hooves to cover it up, she was now done.

"There all better, does it still hurt you in any way?" Fluttershy said with a worried look.

"Not exactly like no pain.  Thank you for what you did like I didn't want that from your kindness to me."

"Why wouldn't I do that?  I never ignore any pony or nice animals that are in trouble with those kind of markings."

"Hmmm you make a good point though."

"Well I appreciate the two of you getting along, but me and Spike have to be going now." Twilight said putting Spike on her back.

"Wait, wait, I want to know about the little dragon's name."Fluttershy said as she hurried up to Twilight.

"Hi there my name is Spike." Spike said smiled her.

"Hi Spike I'm Fluttershy.  Wow a talking dragon I want to know what dragons talk about."

"Well uh... what do you want to know?"

"Absolutely everything." She said as Twilight let out a defeated sigh.

"Well it started out as I was a cute little fella in a green purple egg-"

As Spike was continuing with his story Joel was now following Twilight back to see what's up with her.  She didn't say anything at that point so he just shrugged it off and continues to follow them.

3 hours later that the sun is setting a little bit...

"-and that is the story of my whole entire life.  Well up until today, do you want to hear about it?" Spike said for more questions.

"Oh yes please-" Fluttershy was then cut off from Twilight turning around to look at her.

"I am so sorry how did we make it here so fast?  This is where I'm staying while in Ponyville and my poor little baby dragon needs some sleep does that sound good Spike?" Twilight said trying to end the long conversation.

"No I don't." Spike was then hopped off from Twilight on purpose from her.

"Awww wook at that, he's so sweepy that he can't keep his widdle balwance." She said in a baby tone.

Before Joel was going to see what's going on with Twilight, she with Spike slammed the door at Fluttershy and him outside.  This was very suspicious since visiting from Canterlot that Joel did not want to ignore.  For a few moments of taking forever to wait, he then walked in to see that there was party going on in Twilight's house.  There was Fluttershy that went inside, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and including that pink mare putting on a big party for Twilight.  Which then he avoid those five mares to see what's up with Twilight as he enters the door.

"Legend has it that in the longest day of the thousand year, the stars will aid in her escape and will bring about the everlasting night.  Oh if only there was more time to find the elements instead of making friends." Twilight said looking at the moon above.

"Guessing this whole friendship isn't working out for you huh?" Joel said as she gasps and turn around to see Joel hearing about it.

"Jeez Joel can't you knock instead of scaring me?!  I need to focus on finding the elements to prepare for Nightmare Moon."

"What's so important about finding these elements to defeat this Nightmare Moon your speaking of anyway?"

Twilight just let out a heavy sigh and used her magic to hand him the book about the Elements of Harmony.  She then explained to him about the princesses that found them and that the younger one has been mad to be the one appreciated to her night sky, but the ponies just slept in and that made her angry that her big sister used the elements to send her to the moon for a thousand years.

"Wow that's some strange tale of the story of Princess Celestia and Luna." Joel said rubbing his chin.

"It might be strange to you, but it was true, my teacher Princess Celestia is the one that banished Luna." Twilight said sighing again.

"That looks awful when Princess Celestia had to go through.  Are there any other legends around here?"

"Well there is one book in particular, but I doubt it's true though since not being seen anywhere." She said as she hands him one.

"Hmmmmm the ,'Legendary Six Winged Alicorn Colt', could be very interesting. Five thousand years ago before the founding of Equestria, the land was in chaos that there was no peace there is only war between tribes in each kingdoms.  When the land was about to bring in  destruction, the one being that came from far away has stopped everything from regrets of taking life away.  This unknown colt is named Tristen Myers and he is the first ever six winged alicorn to be seen to everything.  Beings from every kingdom were in shocked to see him stop the war with his unknown magic.  He asked for peace to never stop a war again and to make place balance between the kingdom.  The creatures has agreed to his demands and there was no war for two thousand years.  Although his descendant's had been passed down generation to generation from those year, they somehow vanished into thin air.  No one knows of what happened to them.  Some say they had to go back to their own home.  Others think that something else had taken them somewhere.  For who knows of whatever happened to them, the memory of Tristen Myers and his descendants will never be forgotten..." Joel said as he finished reading to see it later on.

"Do you think that the descendant of Myers will help us out Twilight?"

"I'm not so sure about that.  Even my teacher Princess Celestia wonders where they are now." She said finding a clue about it.

"Well if Nightmare Moon does come here, we'll have enough time to find the descendant alicorn to help us out."

"Thanks Joel, but I don't know how we have until she arrives here anyway."

"Eh don't worry about it that much.  Let's just head back down to celebrate with your new friends." He said smiling to her.

Twilight nodded her head then joined him to the party.  They were having some good time, but she doesn't like to enjoy it that much from all the conversations to her new friends.  It just felt uneasy to Joel that there must be something that he can do.  Now that the party is over with, all the ponies had gathered up at the mayor hall inside for the appearance of Princess Celestia.  While waiting for her to show up, the pink energetic pink mare was jumping around and that she had appeared to Twilight and Joel.

"Isn't this excited exciting you two?! Are you excited cause I look so excited too!  Well except for that one that I saw you that one time in town and then I went 'Gasp!', but like really who can talk fast?" the pink mare said talked really fast.

"Uh hi there my name is Joel Hopper and who are you?" He said rubbing his head confused of what she said.

"Oh sorry about that since I already met Twilight here!  My names Pinkie Pie, nice to me Joey Happy Hoppy!" She said sheepishly.

"Eh I can deal with nicknames sometime.  A pleasure to meet you Pinkie Pie."

Joel was then cut off from his conversation that Fluttershy is controlling the her hooves to her birds singing for something.  The lights were then focus on the Mayor mare approaching the stage to announce every ponies attention.

"Fillies and gentlecolts, As mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!  In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria... Princess Celestia!" Mayor said pointing out her hoof behind her then walking off stage.

"The curtains have been pulled out slowly as the spotlight is ready.  Joel was ready to see who this Princess Celestia is.  By the time the spotlight has reached the curtains unfold, there was no pony to be seen.  All of the ponies gasped that she is not here.  Every pony in the crowd began chattering quietly, but nervously to know what could have happened.

"Remain calm, everypony, there must be a reasonable explanation!" The mayor tried to assure.

"Ooh, ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding huh huh HUH?" Pinkie said bouncing in excitement.

Rarity came out of the room Princess Celestia was supposed to be in. "She's gone!" She announced, receiving a group of gasps.

While the other ponies were in a panic.  Joel looked up slowly at the window that a figure from the moon is vanishing.  Twilight doesn't understand of what he's looking at till she felt the same way as she was terrified of that.

"Something is coming straight into Equestria..." He mumbled to himself.

The blue mist enlarged until it finally spread out and revealed a tall blackened pony. A pony that was as large as Princess Celestia, but  it looks as though Joel has seen that figure in Twilight's book from her story.

"Oh, my beloved subjects…" She announced calmly before us. "It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces."

"What did you do with our Princess?!" Joel heard the voice coming from Rainbow Dash readying for her fight, but she was held back from Applejack who grabbed Rainbow's tail with her teeth.

"Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" Nightmare asked, changing her tone into a slightly irritated one.

"Ooh, ooh, more guessing games!" Pinkie Pie continued to take unseriously. "Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty—"

She was immediately silenced when Applejack forced an apple in her mouth.

"Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?" Nightmare asked as she frightened the yellow pegasus with the birds, causing her to flinch back. What? Imprisoned for a thousand years? "Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" She continued as she moved to Rarity.

"I did!" Twilight suddenly announced out loud for every one of us to hear as Joel was listening to hear it. "And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!"

Every pony gasped again.

"Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here." Nightmare Moon stomped a hoof down, expecting an answer.

"You're here to... to..." Twilight stopped and gulped, unable to finish her sentence for some reason.

Nightmare Moon chuckled loudly, smiling deviously. "Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!" As soon as she ended her sentence, her voice emerged into a loud cackle as thunder boomed and lightning flashed above her.

'Well that doesn't look good here.  Time for me to step up and confront her.' Joel thought ready to battle Nightmare Moon.
