Shard sat with the girls at the picnic table, each exchanging pieces about themselves, one which had caught the girls attention. "You speak Japanese?" All of them asked with wide eyes.

"A bit of it yes, after watching a few dozen anime you start getting a little into the language." Ditzy nodded.

"It's true, I couldn't actually learn it because I found it to be a bit difficult, but I have always wanted to completely learn the language."

Shard looked to Ditzy and smiled, causing her to smile in return.

"Say something in Japanese then!" Demanded Lyra as she slammed her hands onto the table. Shard thought for a moment before smirking.

"Anata wa, anata no shatsu ni jūsu o motte imasu."

"What does that mean?"

"It means you've got juice on your shirt."

Lyra looked down at her shirt and saw that there was indeed a huge stain of orange juice. "What the?! How did that happen?!" Looking at the table she saw a carton of juice that she had squished when she slammed her hand onto the table. "You just let that happen?!"

"Watashi ni kore o hinan shinaide kudasai."

"What does that mean?!"

"Don't blame this on me." Bon Bon, Ditzy, Carrot and Dinky struggled to contain their laughter, putting their hands over their mouths to hold in their approaching state of hysteria. Luckily Lyra had a spare top as she was going to be staying at Bon Bons house for a slumber party.

"Hey! You should come to the slumber party with us." Ditzy said as the idea popped into her head. Shard looked to her unsure.

"I dunno Ditzy, isn't that more of a girls thing? Wouldn't be weird for me to be the only guy there?"

"You won't be the only guy there don't worry, Time Turner will be there." Shard scratched his chin in thought.

"Fine, but I swear if Lyra tries to get revenge I'm calling her Liar For Hire for at least a month." Lyra growled at him, Bon Bon then put a black sheet over her head and she calmed down.

"If she can't see anything she'll eventually fall asleep, kind of like a bird of prey or something."

"Eesh, thanks for giving me a reason to be afraid of her." Ditzy received a text from Turner telling them that he couldn't make it and had to do something with his dad, who he called 'The Doctor' for some reason. Bon Bon and Lyra needed to go get things ready for the slumber party and Carrot was needed back on the farm.

Dinky reached up and whispered into Shard's ear. "This is a chance for you to get to know each other better, I'll get out of your fabulous orange hair so you can chat her up a bit." Shard was about to question her until she commented on his hair.

"Thanks, not many people appreciate someone who keeps their hair in shape these days." With that being said the girl walked off, leaving Shard and Ditzy to their own devices.

"Sooooo... whadda ya want to do?" Shard asked while twiddling his thumbs.

"There's a place down the road that sells games, DVDs, CDs and comic books. Why don't we hit up that place and see if we can find anything?"

"Sounds like a plan." The two stood up and began walking towards the parking lot. As they approached Shard's car he ran a bit and held the passenger seat open for Ditzy who blushed slightly.

"Oh, um, thank you." She walked up and sta down in the fine leather seat.

"No problem m'lady." Shard always had a tendency to act like this around girls he found attractive, treating them like royalty and treating them with upmost respect. Although his thoughts of attractiveness weren't based on sexual attractiveness, it was based on the girls personality and attitude more than anything, there was still the physical attraction of course, he's a teenager for crying out loud it's gonna be there.

He climbed into the drivers seat and started the engine, allowing the car to give off a satisfying purr. He shifted into reverse and pulled out of his parking space and out of the park. As they were driving they came to a red light, as they stopped they looked in horror as a group of preaching nuns noticed them and started walking towards them.

"NUNS, NUNS!!! REVERSE, REVERSE!!!" Both yelled as Shard shifted it into reverse again and pulled back as fast as he could and shot off down a separate street, taking a longer route to the store.

"Whoo, that was close." Ditzy wiped a bead of sweat from her brow. "You got bad memories with nuns too?"

Shard shivered slightly. "Yeah, you could say that."

They reached the store and looked around the area to make sure the preachers had not picked the direction of the shop to go down next. As they walked in they found that it was only guys in the store and all stopped what they were doing to stare at Ditzy. Suddenly the store clerk, a skinny man with shirt brown hair and a jacket walked in front of the two and faced the crows.

"Alright guys you've all seen women in your comics and to shows, don't freak her out." All the lonely men in the store resumed what they were doing and the clerk looked back at the two. "Sorry about that, we don't get a lot of girls in here... or any for that matter." He sighed and held out his hand. "I'm Stewart, owner of this place where everyone depressed and lonely can hang out with others that are depressed and lonely."

"I'm Shard, this is Ditzy."

"Pleasure to meet you both. So, what brings you two down?" Stewart asked while shooing a few guys away that were staring at Ditzy.

"We had nothing to do today so we thought we'd come to see if we could find any good material or merch." Replied Ditzy.

"Well ya came down to the right place madam, down here is all comic book stuff like Iron Man and Batman, next story up is all to do with anime and manga, third floor is games, DVDs and CDs. I'll just stay with you guys to make sure no one gives you trouble." Another clerk walked behind the counter as Stewart let the two up to the second floor.
