Anon and the Awkward Date

>You are Anon.

>You attend CHS.

>You had a rather average life. Nothing special.

>School, Work, Sleep.

>Of course, you had friends too, but they were just Normal Normans and shit.

>But you always had your eye on someone outside of your small group of friends.

>Trixie.

>You don't know why, but you always had a thing for her.

>Maybe it was her luscious hair. Her outward confidence and overflowing ego.

>All that you know is that any time you're around her you can never get the words out that you want to say.

>One day, you and your friends are walking down the main hall.

>One of them turns to you to tease you.

>"Hey, Anon, look. It's the one you'll never get!"

>He points at Trixie, whom is by her locker with her little posse.

>"Too bad you don't have the balls to go and ask her out, huh? She'll just be taken away, just like your brain is when you're near her."

>You REALLY wanted to give him the ol' one-two.

>He continues to tease her until the girl of your group speaks up.

>"Hey, it isn't his fault he has blue balls! Being around all you guys is pretty bad at times."

>"Ouch."

>You grin a bit at her remark.

>They look at you after a few minutes of gabbing on at one another.

>"Look, Anon! She's alone!"

>You look in Trixie's general direction.

>Her friends had left to do something else, leaving her alone at her locker.

>"Dude, you should totally go and hit that."

"I don't know guys, I mean..."

>"What's the matter? Afraid? Bock bock!"

>One of the guys begins imitating a chicken, drawing the attention of a bunch of students.

>You begin to feel flustered.

>"Anon's a chicken!"

>You pick him up by the collar and stare down into his soul.

"Fine. I'll do it."

>The rest just stare at you as you set him down and walk toward Trixie.

>You awkwardly put an arm on a neighbouring locker.

"Uh... Hey... Trixie."

>You sound so devoid of confidence.

>She looks up from her locker.

>"Oh, you're... Anon, right? What can Trixie do for you?"

"I was just wondering, uh..."

>You can feel the spaghetti ready to just burst free from your pockets at any moment.

>She raises an eyebrow at you.

>"Yes? What is it?"

>You take a deep breath in.

"I was just uh... Wondering if you could, maybe.. I don't know. Go to a movie with me sometime?"

>You shield yourself with your arms, expecting some sort of slap from offending her.

>Instead she stands there for a moment and shrugs.

>"Sure. Why not? Pick me up at 7, my place?"

>You stand there stunned for a moment.

>"...Anon?"

>You're brought back to reality by her voice.

"O-Oh! Yeah, sure. 7 sounds great."

>"Great. See you then."

>She returns to digging through her locker as you walk back to your friends.

>You are still shaken up inside, but walk with an air of triumph.

>Your guy friends are all slack-jawed with shock.

>The one girl just raises a hand for you to high five.

>You high five that shit.

>"She actually said yes?"

"Damn skippy."

>You go through the rest of your day as normal.

>You pondered just how the hell you actually got into this situation.

>You.

>The biggest spaghetti monster you know, going on a date with Trixie.

>You get into your shitty little sub-par car and begin to drive home before realizing...

>You can't take her out in a car like this! It's a mess!

>Old food wrappers and containers strewn about.

>CD cases in disarray.

>You mentally reprimand yourself for letting your car get so damn sloppy as you sit at a red light.

>You'll have to clean it out...

>Back at home, you lift yourself out of your car, wiping your forehead.

>You turn off the vacuum that sits beside you on the lawn.

>It took two hours to clean and reorganize your shitmobile, but you did it.

>All the while complaining and thinking to yourself about what you'd do once you got to Trixie's house...

>Running through each hypothetical scenario, all ending with her slamming the door in your face.

>Wow, that shit's heavy, bro.

>Closing your car doors, you drag the vacuum into the house and begin to dig through your closet.

>You want to classy, but not too formal.

>Eventually you settle on your best pair of jeans, a simple white t-shirt, and a fuzzy blue sweater to keep you warm.

>Might as well shower too..

>7.

>You're sitting outside of Trixie's house in your car.

>You just can't bring yourself to get out and knock on the door.

"This was such a stupid idea! She's just going to slam the door on me!"

>You continuously hit your head on the steering wheel until you accidentally miss and slam the horn.

>The car horn blares out.

>A startled Trixie opens the front door and looks out.

>She quints at you from afar.

>"...Anon? Is that you?"

>Shit shit SHIT.

>Now you REALLY done fucked up.

>Trixie Closes the door behind her and starts to walk toward you car.

>You holds both your hands out to signal her to stop.

>Scrambling, you get out of the car and rush to her.

"Trixie! Please, eh..."

>You paused to internally cringe at yourself.

"Let me escort you."

>She is slightly confused by the situation, but giggles nonetheless.

>"Very well, Anonymous. You may escort the Great and Powerful Trixie."

>She holds out a hand to you like a Queen would.

>You gently kiss the back of her hand before escorting her to your car.

>You take mental note of her outfit.

>Same idea as yours, classy yet casual.

>A simple light blue t-shirt emblazoned with her mark, a longer purple skirt, and that adorable little hair pin she wears.

>Once she's in, you slide over the hood of the car Dukes of Hazard style and hop into the driver's seat.

>She looks around a bit before sitting back down and buckling up.

>"Nice car, Anon. It's so clean and fresh... The outside could use some work but... It'll do."

>You give her an awkward smile.

"Uh.. Thanks. I like to keep it that way."

>You try to bullshit your way through it.

>And it's working.

"And might I say that you look... Stunning tonight?"

>Trixie tosses her hair with her right hand.

>"Why of course, the Great and Powerful Trixie must always look her best for a show."

>That outward confidence...

>You wore the dumbest grin the whole ride to the theater as you two idly chit chatted.

>You don't know why, but you've got a feeling that this night was going to be a good night.

>You pull up in front of the theater.

>You reach into your pocket to double check the amount of money you have.

>You're flipping through the note as Trixie puts a hand on yours.

>"Relax, Anon. Trixie can pay for herself."

>She gives you a soft smile.

>You return the smile.

"No, no, at LEAST let me pay for the ticket. A gentleman has to pay for the entry, you know."

>She giggles at your attempt of being a gentleman.

>"Alright, hotshot. You can pay for the tickets. Just make sure you get us some good seats."

>Getting out of the car, you walk Trixie to the entrance booth.

>"Hello and welcome to the Canterlot Theater. What would you like to see?"

>Ugh, it's some old hag at the booth tonight. Boils on her face, chubby..

>Gross.

>You and Trixie look up at the NOW PLAYING board.

>A bunch of cheesy-ass movies, horror and action.

"You can pick the movie. Ladies first."

>Trixie rolls her magenta eyes at you.

>"Two for Pacific Rim, please."

>Holy shit, she chose Pacific Rim for a date movie?

>What the fuck did you get yourself into?

>"That'll be 25.99, please."

>You pay the worker, grab your tickets and swiftly get into the theater.

>Thank god for getting away from that disaster of a person.

>Trixie takes her ticket and hands you some of her money.

>"I want a medium popcorn with a small drink. Ice too."

>Before you can say anything, she's off down the hall and going into the screening room.

>You blink before she has an outburst.

>"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING! YOU ALMOST KNOCKED THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE DOWN!"

>You see Brad running out of the room Trixie went in.

>Poor Brad.

>You watch him stumble his way through the main lobby, knocking over a trash bin and getting someone's leftovers all over those nice shoes of his.

>You couldn't help but internally laugh at him.

>Fucker deserved it, Mr. I'm so perfect.

You finally got the food you two wanted, Medium popcorn and small drink for the lady, Large popcorn, doughnut, and medium drink for yourself.

>Walking through the door you see a frantic Trixie waving at you from the middle row.

>"Anon! Over here! It's about to start!"

>Quietly, you make your way down the messy walkway and into a seat next to Trixie.

>She seems happy that you didn't screw up something for once.

>She takes a mouthful of popcorn and begins to munch on it.

>"Ish no peanut butr crakvers, but it'll do!"

>You smile and shake your head.

>What was with her and those things?

>The movie has started, and you're both watching intently.

>For some horror movie with dumb CGI effects, this shit was pretty intense.

>Occasionally, you'd look at Trixie.

>During several parts you could see her tremble a bit, spilling some of her popcorn.

>She picks up her cup of pop rather unsteadily.

>You grab the cup--and her hand.

>She looks at you questioningly.

"You alright?"

>She nods some, trying to hide her obvious fear.

>"Yeah... Trixie's uh.. Fine."

>She's obviously fibbing, but you keep an eye on her anyway.

>It's nearing the end of the movie.

>Things are still fairly tense, the air was so thick you could slice it.

>You aren't fully phased by the movie, but Trixie looks ready to break.

>While things are quiet, you decide to prank her.

>Just as the tension reached its peak, you gently tap both of her shoulders while quietly going "Boo!"

>She jumps and shrieks in fright.

>You damn near pissed yourself in laughter.

>She just stands there, staring at you with a pout.

>"Anon, that was NOT funny!"

>After cleaning the popcorn off of herself, Trixie sat down to finish watching the movie.

>"That REALLY wasn't funny..."

>Her pouting voice was just too damn adorable.

>She was almost like a pouty child.

>You chuckle a bit now that you settled down.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... Okay? I was just a little joke, come on."

>She rolls her eyes some and sits back.

>"Well, if you're such a man with your jokes, then you won't mind if we..."

>She takes a short dramatic pause.

>"Cuddle?"

>Your grin goes to a loo of "Oh shit."

>Literally your first time hanging out with her, first date, and she's already asking to cuddle?

>Either she's fucking with you, or you somehow played her like a damn fiddle.

>Thankfully, this is one of those fancy theaters where you can adjust the arm rests.

>You lift up the arm rest separating you two.

>Trixie gives a soft smile and scootches over, resting against you quietly.

>You stay like that for the remainder of the movie.

>After the movie is over, you take out the trash and walk with Trixie to your car.

>You help her in, then hop into the driver's seat and take off back to her house.

>"You know Anon..."

>You don't say a word.

>"Tonight actually wasn't that bad. Minus the whole... Scaring me part."

>Oh shit, you gon get sum fuk tonight.

>"I kinda had fun. Here I thought you were just some loser trying to score!"

>You internally cringe at that.

"Uh... Thanks? I guess."

>Trixie gives of quiet sigh.

>"Trixie could only wish to do this more often."

>She's throwing you a curve ball, think fast genius.

"Well, why not? I mean, this was only a first date."

>Good save.

>"You mean after that, you'd still want to date me?"

>She looks at you in surprise.

>The ball is going to home plate as Anon makes a run for it...

"Well, yeah! So what if we all get a little bit scared at times? We're only human after all."

>She gently pushes on your shoulder.

>"You tease... Say what's really on your mind."

>You pause as your mind begins to race.

>It's now or never, faggot.

"You sure? Well..."

>You take a deep breath in.

"I don't know why, but I've always liked you Trixie. Something about you just attracts me to you, and that's why I asked you out. ...Well, mostly. Part of it was the guys bothering me about never being able to confess to you and---"

>Trixie stops you mid-way through your spaghetti fest by putting her finger on your lips.

>"Trixie gets it, Anon. I understand this, but... Do you really want to keep dating me?"

"Yes."

>Trixie goes quiet for a moment.

>"Trixie accepts."

>Your heart nearly stops.

>Aaaand he's safe! It's a home run, folks!

>"Just, please. Try to keep the spaghetti in your pockets while you're around me."

>Her tone is a small mix of playfulness and seriousness.

>You give her a soft chuckle as you pull up into the driveway.

"No promises, but I'll try."

>She leans over and gives a soft kiss on the cheek.

>"See you tomorrow, boyfriend."

>Your heart skips a beat as she says that. >You watch her walk up the path and into her house.

>She waves at you.

>You wave back.

>Tonight was a good night.
