AU (Spike doesn't have a dog counterpart)
A new student has arrived in Canterlot High School a young freshman who's...Spike?!
Everyone's surprised none more so than the Mane 6 And Sunset Shimmer, plus he seems to a have secret that makes him unique.

Chapter 1: New Student

Canterlot High School, it's just another ordinary day for it...or as normal as it can be, considering the fact that 3 times it had to deal with threats that were connected the fact their statue is a portal to a pony version of the students' world. Ever since the Friendship Games, CHS and Crystal Prep Academy have improved in their friendship. All the students have gotten over their former rivalry, and some have the option of visiting each school. Mostly everything has gotten back to normal, the only recent development was a new matter Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna were discussing.

"A new student?"asked Celastia. She and her sister were at their office discussing a new development.

"Yes,"her younger sister Luna replied"he's moving here from a different city just a few miles from here." she said.

"Hmm, I cant seem to see anything on family coming with him." Celestia noticed while looking at the document with information regarding said student.

"The school, he previously attended didn't really say much on that, only that he's 14 years old, mostly likes to keep to himself most of the time and that he didn't seem to have that many friends." Luna told her sister with a hint of sympathy in her tone.

"Well then, I can say without a doubt that after his first week here he'll start to open up to everyone at CHS, here we accept anyone looking for new friends" Celestia proclaimed confidently.

"I don't doubt that sister, but I should mention no picture was given or a name only his initials: S.D." Luna informed her.

A bus has been driving along the road for about 2 hours, init, only one occupant in a seat. It was young boy who looked around 14 years old, he had an unzipped purple hoodie with a light green T-shirt underneath and had blue jeans and white sneakers. He also had green hair that went down passed his shoulders, his eyes were as green as emerald and his skin was light-purple, around his neck was a heart shaped necklace, he was sitting quietly with his backpack at his side and was looking out the window with a thoughtful expression on his face.

'Canterlot High School, whatever it'll be probably be like all the other schools I've been to, with me being the outcast" he thought 'Hopefully though, I'll be able to keep my temper in check, otherwise, I Hope that school has insurance' He noted, knowing what will happen if he looses his cool. 'Besides I'm used to being alone, it's basically the story of my life, I mean I have no idea who my parents are or where I came from, I wouldn't be surprised if no one would actually acknowledge me, which is better since it'll be better for their sake.'

The bus passes through the the entrance to Canterlot City, driving to it's destination where it stopped just around the corner.

"All right kid, this is your stop." announced the bus driver.

"Finally" the boy said as he walked to to the bus exit"appreciate the ride" he thanked the driver.

"Just doing my job son, by the way what was your name again?" the driver asked the boy.

"It's Spike... Spike Drake"the boy now known as Spike answered.

"Well Spike hope you'll enjoy your stay, I hear there's no city more friendly than Canterlot, especially the high school here" said the bus driver.

"Let's hope so." said Spike as he exited the bus. Spike walked around the block, filled with many citizens casually talking to one another, not wanting to be spotted he lifted his hood up to conceal his face. It took about 10 minutes until he arrived at his new home. A one simple house that his old school had the Cnterlot School District prepare for him.

"Just like the last ones." Spike said, remembering similar buildings he lived in before.

He entered through the front door, taking a look inside it had a kitchen, living room, dining room, and bedrooms upstairs.

"Looks okay enough" he said.

He walked his way upstairs and into his new bedroom, it had a single bed and a desk at the other side with window above.

"Might need some redecorating, other than that it's fine."he decided.

Spike immediately put his backpack on the side and proceeded to lay down on the bed. He looked up at the ceiling and thought to himself.

'Might as well get ready for tomorrow, it'll be my first day at a new school, I'm really hoping nothing eventful happens, then again when it comes to me something always seems to happen even when I don't want it to.'he thought.

Spike then grabs his necklace tight thinking 'If anyone finds out well, guess I won't have any aspect of a normal life, not that it wasn't weird enough already'he then proceeded to closes his eyes and went into a deep slumber as he prepares for tomorrow.

This is only the beginning for Spike, for his world will soon change forever once he begins school. There's no telling what'll happen for him, he's always distanced himself from others, never did fit in with the students of the many schools he's attended in the past. The little knowledge he has about his past certainly never helped, no matter what though he tries to at least seem like another face in the crowd, but who knows? His arrival in this new place may provide him with new opportunities. He may just be able make friends, or perhaps something even more than that only time will tell.

Author's Notes:

I can handle any criticism, and if you could provide tips on how to improve, that would be great, since this is my first story ever.

Chapter 2: First Day Of School

The sun shined on a brand new day, at a simple house in the suburbs, the only resident waking up from his deep sleep last night. He sat up from his bed and stretched with a yawn.

"Ahh, man that was relaxing, it's been a while since I had a good night's sleep." Spike remarked. He got out of his bed and looked at the time, which read 8:00 A.M. "At least I didn't oversleep on the first day." He said, knowing that today was the first day of school for him. "Better get ready, today is a new day for me, still hoping nothing weird happens." he decided. He changed from his PJs into his normal clothing, he then went downstairs and into the kitchen making himself a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. After finishing he exited out of his house and made his way to the bus stop, he also decided to put his hood up while waiting.

After a few minutes, the bus pulls up around the corner and stops just in front of him. The entrance doors open for him to come in. As he enters he sees several students chatting amongst themselves, he walks to the back and sits on a single empty seat. He sits down and looks out the window sighing.

'Let's see how today turns out' Spike thought as the bus makes it's way to Canterlot High School.

Speaking of Canterlot High, in the rehearsal room, The 7 best friends: Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset Shimmer were talking, the girls were telling Twilight about all that happened before she came to Canterlot High, which involved her pony counterpart.

"Wow, so all of that really happened to all of you?" Twilight asked, astounded by the tales.

"It did, and it was really so much fun, growing pony ears, using magic, competing in the Battle Of The Bands, and more recently, The Friendship Games!" replied Pinkie enthusiastically.

"Not to mention how awesome we all were" said Rainbow Dash.

"Yeah those were good times, except for me being a complete jerk and turning into a she-demon" remarked Sunset Shimmer.

"I still can't believe that just on the other side of that horse statue in front of the school there is an actual parallel dimension where we're all ponies, and I just spent time with my counterpart just last month not only that, but she's a princess." said Twilight.

"Believe it Twi, Ah was just as surprised as you were." said Applejack.

"You know there are times where I miss that cute little puppy, Spike oh what I wouldn't give to give him another ear rub." said Rarity, fondly remembering.

"Oh I know, even if he was actually a dragon, he was just the cutest wasn't he?" asked Fluttershy.

"He was the definition of cute and adorable." proclaimed Pinkie Pie .

"I'm usually not one for cute, but I gotta admit the little guy was cool." remarked Rainbow Dash.

"Spike certainly was good company to keep around and really knew how to help out when wants to." said Sunset Shimmer.

"Yeah like when he was able to get us free from that locked door and get help from Vinyl so that we were able to beat the Dazzlings, as a helpful gal myself, I was certainly glad." Applejack said.

"Wow this Spike sounds like a great dog...er, dragon." Twilight remarked.

"Yeah he is, seriously though Twilight, you really don't have any dog named Spike, or at least some other animal with purple and green fur?" asked Fluttershy.

"It's like I told you before, my parents never allowed me to have any pets, especially since my dad has allergies to anything furry." confirmed Twilight.

"That's strange, considering that everypony from Equestria has a counterpart here, I figured Spike would too." reasoned Sunset.

"I admit that is weird, well can't think about it now, I gotta hurry and get to class, Flash is probably waiting for me as we speak" said Twilight.

"Flash Sentry, you mean your boyfriend?" teased Rainbow.

"He's not my boyfriend!" said Twilight. "Well , okay I guess I sorta like him, but I'm worried if he only likes me because I remind him of the other me." reasoned Twilight.

"Don't worry Twilight, Flash isn't that kind of guy, I mean I dated him before, and he had enough sense to break up with me for the right reasons. Sunset assured her.

"Yeah, I guess I'll take your word for it." replied Twilight.

Before anyone else could talk the Speaker suddenly turned on.

"Sunset Shimmer, please report to the front, Sunset Shimmer to the front office immediately" announced Principal Celestia's vice.

"Oh right, knew I forgot something." said Sunset.

"Something wrong?" asked Fluttershy in worry.

"Noting serious, it's just last week, the principal asked me if I could give a tour to a new student." answered Sunset.

"Hold on, a new student, nothing bad about this right?" Rainbow cautiously asked, remebering the last time new students caused trouble.

"Don't worry, the principals told me the full story he's just a 14-year old freshman, moving here from another city, they asked me specifically because the school he used to go to said that he didn't have that many friends and that he wasn't very social, they're hoping I show how much he'll like it here at CHS." said Sunset.

"Oh my, the poor thing must be very shy, I can relate." said Fluttershy with a tone of sympathy.

"Ah'm sure once he gets used to this school, the little fella will feel right at home surrounded by so many friends" Applejack said with confidence.

"That's what I'm hoping for, well see ya later girls." Sunset said as she walked off.

Spike stood at the entrance of the school taking a deep breath, he walked in.

'Here goes nothing' thought Spike as he started a brand new day for him.

Chapter 3: Meetings

Spike had to admit, the inside of the school wasn't that bad, it certainly had a lot of room and there were many students all around in conversation.

'Hmm, well at least it seems okay, okay I'm supposed to go to the front lobby where the office is.' Spike thought as he mad his way. while walking, he couldn't help but look around and see that each student of different cliques were actually talking to each other.

'Woah, jocks hanging with eco-kids, fashionistas with techies, and even dramas with the rockers, definitely different than my old schools.' Spike thought with surprise of how this high school is very different from how he's heard about it, thinking it's student body is separated by cliques and social status.

Despite him having his hood up, and trying to seem like another face in the crowd, some students noticed him, seeing as they never seen him before.

"Hey, who's the new kid?" asked a rocker girl named Cherry Crash, talking to her friends, Mystery Mint and Blueberry Cake.

"No idea." replied Mystery.

"Must be a new student." surmised Blueberry.

They weren't the only ones who noticed the new boy. Every student Spike passed by took notice of him, wondering who he was, which Spike himself wasn't ignorant of.

'Great, so much for not being singled out, I guess I should ask one of them where the lobby is' Spike decided going to ask a female student with dark-purple hair and light-purple skin.

"Excuse me, but can you help me with something?" Spike asked

"Sure, what's up, oh I'm Amethyst Star by the way." replied the girl no known as Amethyst.

"Don't suppose you know where the front lobby is?" asked Spike. "I'm kind of new here." he explained.

"Oh sure, it's just around the corner over there." said Amethyst, pointing to the direction.

"Thanks" Spike said.

"Anytime, later I hopes to see you more often." Amethyst told him as she hurried off to her next class.

"Yeah, sure." Spike said with some reluctance as he went his way to the lobby.

Sunset Shimmer made her ways to the lobby, where she waited for the new student, while waiting, she couldn't help but wonder
about said student.

'From what the principals said, he never got involved in anything back at his old school, no club or activities, heck he was never even seen in any social events, well the girls will change that.' though Sunset, hoping CHS's new arrival will be more at open here.

4 minutes passed, until she caught the sight of a boy with his hood up walking up to her being a few inches shorter than her, his hands were on the pockets of his jacket, and his face was hidden by the hood.

'That must be him" Sunset realized.

The boy stopped right in front of her and just stared.

"So, I take it your my tour guide." he said.

"Uh yeah , you must be the new student, right?" she asked.

"That'd be me." he said plainly.

"Well come on, let's get started." Sunset as the 2 of them went to begin the tour.

The tour went on for about an hour, Sunset Shimmer was just about done explaining.

"That's the computer room" she motioned to her right then to her left, "and over there is the teacher's library, that pretty much wraps up the end of the tour, hope you know how to get around now." she said.

"Don't worry, I've gotten the gist of it." he assured her.

"Well that's a relief, you know if you want join any clubs or anything, you can go to the principals." she told him.

"I'll think about it." he said nonchalantly. 'Doesn't mean I'll do it.' he thought, he then made his way to the cafeteria.

"Hey wait!." she called causing him to stop and turn around. "I never got your name." she told him

'I probably should, don't want to seem rude' he though as he removed his hood from his head while also unzipping his hoodie.

Sunset Shimmer watched, as her eyes slowly widen and her mouth slightly opened as she finally got a good look at him, his green hair, that purple skin texture, and his emerald eyes, but what really set her off was the the necklace around his neck that had red heart, at that moment her mind replaced the image of the boy with a puppy dog she knew to well.

"My name is..."he started.

"Spike?" she whispered astonished as she had a perplexed look on her face.

Spike was taken back, not expecting Sunset knowing his name.

"Uh, yeah, how did you know?" he asked in confusion.

Sunset Shimmer only stood there completely shocked at the identity of the new student, never expecting a development such as this, for no one could have ever have seen this coming, not even Pinkie Pie with her "Pinkie Sense", or Twilight wither smarts, she knew that the Spike she knew would have a counterpart here, but this, there aren't any words to describe how stunning this is, here a human version of Spike standing right in front of her, the same person she's been spending time with for the past hour, she mentally smacked herself to see if she wasn't imagining things, but she knew this was real, with this only one thought crossed her mind as she processed this completely unexpected and stunning event that she had a hard time doing so with effort.

'OH. MY. GOSH!'

Chapter 4: Unexpected Development

It seemed like forever that Sunset Shimmer was standing there, facing the boy in front of her that she just found out was Spike, she couldn't believe it, she knew there was a chance that there was a version of Spike in the human world, but she never thought that he was actually human, and not a dog. She didn't even think, Twilight from both worlds would've saw this coming, despite having high intellects, yet here he was, standing right in front of her.

'I don't believe it, a human Spike...an actual human version of Spike.' She thought with astonishment. Speaking of Spike, he was still thinking on how this girl that he just met could possibly know his name, without himself telling her.

"Uh, hello are you okay?" He asked worriedly as he waved his hand in front of her face.

"What...Oh, uh yeah i'm fine, just fine." She said, getting out of her shell shocked stare.

"Yeah, um, so as I was saying, how the heck did you know my name? He asked her.

"Oh uh, you know l-lucky gess?" She stammered.

"Right... so I'm just gonna go, see you later, I guess." he said as he left to the cafeteria.

"Sure, bye.' She said as she watched him go, as soon as he was out of sight, she ran to another direction of the cafeteria.

'I have to tell the girls!" She thought.

Back to Spike, as he walked he thought to himself,

'Well, that was kinda weird, but she seems nice, plus she's pretty hot... woah, slow down Spike, don't get ahead of yourself, besides she's about 2 years older than me.' He thought as he continued walking.

The cafeteria was full of kids conversing with each other, at a table near the windows, The Mane human 6, were talking among each other.

"So, anyone know when Sunset will be here?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"As soon as she's done showing that new kid around." answered Pinkie Pie.

"I hope whoever he is, he learn to like it here." said Fluttershy, remembering what Sunset told them about this new student.

"Ah wouldn't worry about too much, in fact maybe we should be the ones to make friends with him." Applejack said as she munched on an apple.

"Oh, a wonderful idea, I hope this new boy would be nice and friendly." said Rarity, while polishing her nails

"You were able to to get through to me, I'm sure you'll be able to do the same with him." Twilight Sparkle said.

Before anymore could be said, Sunset Shimmer bursts through the entrance doors panting, she quickly made her way to the table.

"Girls, you'll never believe what just happened!" Sunset exclaimed.

"Woah, slow down, what's up?" asked Rainbow.

"It's...I mean... I still can't believe it, there's something you all need to know!" Sunset stammered.

"What? Tell us, I can't handle the suspense." said Pinkie

"It's just...I'm still trying to process it." Sunset went on.

"Calm down and tell us already!" exclaimed Applejack

"Just take deep breaths." said Rarity.

"It must really be important." said Fluttershy.

"Okay, sorry, it's just really big." Sunset explained.

"So, what's the big deal?" asked Twilight.

"It's about the new student." said Sunset.

"I knew it, so what is he, a cyclops, an ogre, a vampire?" asked Rainbow.

"Oh, maybe he's a half-zombie, half-Abraham Lincoln clone." suggested Pinkie which earned stares from the girls.

"What?, I'm just saying." She defended.

"Uh..no, it's not that he's something from Equestria that can be a threat, it's..." She was cut off once she saw who just entered through the doors. "On second thought, I think it's better to show you." she said as she pointed to him.

Once they saw who she was pointing at, they each had different reactions.

Applejack had a comple perplexed look and her hat nearly fell off.

Pinkie Pie's jaw dropped, like literally, her jaw just extended to the bottom of he floor and her eyes were the size of dinner plates.

Fluttershy put her hands to her mouth and stuccoed a soft gasp.

Rarity was applying lipstick, however she unknowingly traced it down to her chin.

Rainbow Dash dropped her sandwich in complete shock.

Twilight adjusted her glasses to make sure she wasn't seeing things.

They weren't the only ones, almost everyone took notice of the boy who just entered, and immediately were shocked, standing there was a new boy who reminded them all of a certain puppy.

"Sunset, wh-who is that?" asked Rarity who couldn't take her eyes off the new student .

"That is what I wanted to tell you, girls, allow me to introduce Canterlot High's new student, Spike Drake." said Sunset.

"OMG!" all the girls exclaimed.

The other students overheard, and whispered amongst themselves.

Spike felt a little uncomfortable, so he went to get lunch.

"There's a human Spike!?" exclaimed Pinkie

"Oh my." said Fluttershy in awe.

"Well, Ah'll be." said Applejack.

"Goodness." said Rarity.

"This...is...AWESOME!" said Rainbow Dash enthusiastically.

"Guess this solves the mystery of our world having a version of him, just never thought he'd be human." said Twilight.

"I know right? It completely shocked me too, wait where's Pinkie?" Sunset asked, noticing the poofy haired girl's absence.

After getting his lunch, Spike looked around the cafeteria and spotted a table completely empty.

"Perfect." he said making his way to the table.

As he sat down, he took a bite out of his sandwich, then he caught the scent of something nearby, it was human, and smelled like cupcakes for some reason, he then turned to his right and was face to face with a girl never seen before.

"Hi!" she said happily.

"Ah!" he cried in surprise backing up.

"It's so good to see you!" the girl said as she suddenly hugged him tight.

"Uh, hi, who exactly are you?" Spike asked wearily as he blushed, because of being so close.

"Oh, how rude of me, I'm Pinkie Pie, and you're Spike." Pinkie said letting him go.

"Wait, how did you know that?" Spike asked, confused.

"Sunset told me of course." Pinkie explained

"Sunset? You mean Sunset Shimmer, you know her?" asked Spike.

"Yeah, we're best friends, hey wanna go over to where the rest of my friends are?" Pinkie asked curiously.

"Uh, I appreciate the offer, but I'm good where I am." Spike said.

"Aw, but why? There's no one else on this table other than us, you'll like my friends, and trust me, they'll definitely like you, I know I do." Pinkie said winking at him.

"I don't know." Spike said, still not sure.

"Come on, pleaaaase." Pinkie begged giving the best puppy eyes and lip quiver.

'Man, those eyes!' he thought before giving in. "Okay fine, I guess it wouldn't hurt." he said.

"Yay! Come on!" Pinkie said as she pulled him to her table.

"Hey! Watch the arm." Spike complained as they went to Pinkie's friends.

Chapter 5: First Impressions

The girls watch as Pinkie Pie drag Spike right over to theit table after finding her talking to him, much to his protest.

"What is she doing!?" exclaimed Sunset.

"Pinkie's just bringing Spike over to us, I don't see any problem." said Rainbow nonchalantly.

"The problem is that we've met Spike before..well the other Spike, the point is we know him, but he doesn't know us, when I first saw his face and said his name, he was completely put off." Sunset explained.

"I get it, but we all kinda agreed to be the first ones to make friends with him." said Twilight.

"You did? When did this happen?" asked Sunset.

"It was a few moments ago, before you barged in." Applejack answered.

"To be honest with you all, I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with him, I mean look at him, I didn't think it was possible but as a human, Spike seems more adorable than as a dog." said Rarity with a light blush.

"I actually agree with you Rarity." said Fluttershy equally flustered.

Before more could be said, Pinkie sat down along with Spike, wrapping her arm around him.

"Hey girls, allow me to introduce Spike Drake." proclaimed Pinkie gesturing to Spike.

"Uh, hi." said Spike awkwardly.

"Why hello darling, I am Rarity." Rarity said introducing herself offering her hand to shake, which he took.

"Name's Rainbow Dash kid." said Rainbow

"I'm Applejack, pleasure to meet your acquaintance." said Applejack.

"Hi Spike, I'm Fluttershy." said Fluttershy.

"Twilight Sparkle, nice to meet you." said Twilight.

"You already know me , remember?" asked Sunset.

"Oh yeah, it's nice to meet all of you." said Spike.

"The pleasure is all ours darling, in fact were just talking about you." Rarity told him.

"Really?" He asked surprised.

"Yep and we thought it would be nice if you hang out with us for a while." said Pinkie.

"Wait, what?" he asked perplexed.

"We all figured since yer new here, we could help you fit in, plus we wouldn't mind if you spend time with us." explained Applejack.

"Um, I don't know, I'm more used to being by myself." he told them

"Come on, it'll be fu~un." Pinkie sang batting her eyelashes.

Spike was contemplating whether or not to take them on their offer, he had to admit, even though he just met these girls, admittedly they are very nice, but he still isn't used to being a part of a group of friends, however seeing as how they may not take "no" for an answer (especially Pinkie) he had no choice.

"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt." he said.

"Yay!" exclaimed Pinke enveloping Spike in a tight hug, who was then also hugged by Rarity and Fluttershy.

"Oh, we're gonna have such a wonderful time darling." said Rarity.

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." Fluttershy told him.

"Okay, alright you all can stop hugging now." said Spike blushing, not used to the close contact.

"So Spike, after school maybe we could go to your house, meet your parents, we'd all like to meet them , maybe show you and them around town." offered Twilight.

"No! I-I mean, we're still settling in, they'll probably be busy for a while, heh." Spike said nervously, darting his eyes back and forth.

"Oh, well okay, that's understandable I guess." said Twilight, the girls agreeing with her, Applejack on the other hand had a look of suspicion, before anymore could be said, the bell rang.

"Oh, that's our cue to get along to our next class, Spike dear which class are you off too?" Rarity asked him.

"Uh gym." he said.

"You're in luck, that's where I'm going, come on we'll walk together." said Rainbow.

"That's alright I can go there by myself." Spike assured her.

"Too late, we're going." she retorted dragging Spike off his chair and walked out of the cafeteria.

"You know girls, something tells me Spike being here will make things interesting." Sunset told them.

"Uh huh...yeah." said Applejack with a thoughtful look on her face.

Spike and Rainbow Dash were walking through the halls heading to gym class. Rainbow had her arm around Spike, and was telling him what he had to know.

"So if you want to know how to catch up, just ask me, I'd be willing to give you some pointers." she told him.

"You know I only asked how tough it could be, didn't really ask you for help." he said.

"I'm just saying, if you want to get through P.E., you need to learn from the best, and I don't like to brag, but I'm pretty much the top student." she said smugly.

'She's right, that didn't sound like bragging at all.' he thought sarcastically as they walked into the gymnasium. It was filled with athletic students who were doing push-ups, situ-ups, all kinds of exercise.

"Go ahead and get changed, I'll be with you in a moment." she said, heading into the girls' locker room.

"Well, here we go." he said going in. The Boys' room was filled with dudes chatting and roughhousing, Spike found a locker room that held a gym uniform for Spike to use. It consisted of a white t-shirt and blue shorts. Spike quickly changed and observed himself.

'Too bad these don't come in green.' he thought.

"Hey you." a voice called out. Spike turned and saw three older boys, one had spiked up blue hair and pale, light grayish amber skin, another was tall, muscular had apple green skin and opal hair, the last one had light violet skin and dark hair with grey streaks, he also had blue shades on and a light mustache, they were all wearing the same gym uniform as Spike.

"You're the new kid right? I'm Flash Sentry and this is Brawley Beats and Ringo." Flash introduced himself and his friends.

"Hey." said Brawley.

"Yo." greeted Ringo.

"Um hi, I'm Spike." he waved.

"How you settling in?" Flash asked.

"Meh, so far so good." Spike responded.

"Cool." Flash said.

"Well, see you later I guess." said Spike, walking off.

"Dude, he totally looked like-." Ringo began.

"I know, kinda expected him to be smaller and walking on four legs." said Flash.

"Man this is weird." Brawley commented, earning him stares from his bandmates.

"What?" he asked.

"Dude, after everything that's happened in the past few months, the fact that there's a human version of the other Twilight's pet dog is what you think is the weirdest thing that's happened in this school?" Flash asked.

"Hey, I'm just saying, it's like this school attracts weird things, still can't get over the whole talking dog thing." Brawley defended.

In the gym, all the students were lined up, then the coach approached them, he was big, muscular, had blue skin and hair, was wearing a track suit, that surprisingly fitted him, and a had a nose ring.

"Hello students, for some of you who don't know, I am Iron Will, today we'll be heading outside for a game of soccer. You'll be split up into 2 teams, whoever wins will have achieved victory, the losers however will face utter humiliation!" he proclaimed a bit loudly, causing the students to recoil.

'Someone's had too much caffeine this morning.' Spike thought.

"Well what're you waiting for maggots!? Get out there!" Iron Will barked making everyone runt outside.

As soon as everyone they each took different sides of the field, Spike on the left side, and Rainbow Dash on the right, Iron Will blew the whistle, commencing the start of the game. Rainbow was able to get the ball, thanks to her natural sports talent, she swiftly move past the opposing team , she was the close to the goal, but then, the ball was taken from her by Spike Drake himself, she didn't even see him coming.

"What!?" she exclaimed.

"Too easy." he said with a confident smirk. Despite the many obstacles in his path, Spike was able to past them with ease and the goal was in his sights, he kicked the ball with great force, and was so fast, the goalie couldn't deflect it, Spike was able to make the goal, scoring a point for his team.

"Point!" Iron Will called, gesturing to the left side of the field. The team that scored cheered.

"Oh it is on now!" Rainbow exclaimed, now in her super-competitive mode. She took the ball, and ran as fast as she could, and kicked it into the other goal.

"That's how its done!" she shouted. The game went on for a solid 20 minutes, the score was tied, Spike and Rainbow were giving it their all, Spike was doing amazingly well, no one expected him to be this good, the fact that he was on par with Rainbow Dash of all people was an amazing feat. Before the final goal could be struck, Iron Will blew his whistle.

"That's enough! Bell will be ringing soon, get changed this game is a tie!" Iron Will bellowed. At that the students went in. As Spike was walking Rainbow caught up with him.

"Hey Spike, that was a good game. Didn't think you were that good." she complimented him.

"Thanks I guess." Spike responded.

"Just so you know we're gonna have to settle this, I never just leave a game at a tie." Rainbow told him.

"Whatever, well I'll be seeing you." he said walking off.

'Good to know there someone who can keep up.' she thought to herself.

Spike made his way to his next class which was History. As much as this day was going way better than his past first days of school, he was aching to go home and just spend some quality private time by himself. He stopped at the the classroom and went inside. Students were in their seats, waiting for class to start, a cheerful voice called out his name.

"Spike, over here!" Pinkie called out, Spike turned to see Pinkie Pie waving her hand a bit too much, Rarity along with Fluttershy sitting close by.

'Ah jeez.' Spike grimaced.

"Spike hey Spike its me Pinkie, with Fluttershy and Rarity, come sit near us there's a free desk!" she called to him, making him blush furiously, knowing she won't stop until he sits near them, Spike decided to do so.

"Hey girls." he greeted them.

"Why hello darling, we were just wondering when we'd see you again how was gym? I hear there was a soccer game, I hope Rainbow Dash wasn't too hard she can be very competitive when she wants to. said Rarity.

"Nah it wasn't that challenging we ended the game in a tie." Spike told them, causing them to gasp in shock.

"No way! You're kidding!" Pinkie said in awe.

"It's all true, ask her yourself or some the others that played, they'll vouch for it, it's not that big of a deal though." he said shrugging it off.

"But Rainbow always wins a game, no one in the whole school have been able to beat her let alone end in a tie, not even most of the jocks." Fluttershy informed him.

"Wow you must really be super athletic ooh maybe you can try out for the soccer team." Pinkie suggested

"Not interested." said Spike bluntly.

"You sure? there are many after-school activities you could be involved with, why there's chess, mathletes, drama club, choir, band, and others." Rarity informed him hoping he'll reconsider.

"Sorry but I'm not used to that kind of stuff." he explained., the teacher then came in to start her lesson.

"Okay now settle down and take your seats class so that we can begin the lesson." the teacher Ms. Harshwhinny, little did she know Pinkie Rarity and Fluttershy were having a quiet conversation.

"Looks like we'll have convince him that joining a club or team would be super duper fun." whispered Pinkie.

"Maybe it shouldn't be just any club, it can be something that suits Spike well." suggested Fluttershy.

"The sweet thing just needs to open up more, we should discuss this with the others." Rarity said, at that class went on without disruptions until the bell rang, Spike then went off to his next class which he read was science.

"Bye Spike see ya later!" Pinkie exclaimed waving goodbye along with the girls.

"Yeah sure." Spike said with a sweat drop.

'Yeesh doesn't that girl have an off switch?' Spike thought.

In the chemistry lab everyone was their assigned stations, Twilight Sunset Shimmer and Applejack were sitting patiently waiting for class to start.

"Wonder how Spike is doing." Twilight said.

"I'm sure he's fine, and if he needs any help he can come to us." Sunset told them.

"As much as I think he's alright there's something off about him." Applejack said.

"What makes you say that?" Twilight curiously asked.

"Ah don't know but y'all and everyone else know that Ah can smell a lie just like that, well it may just be paranoia but there might be something Spike isn't telling us." Applejack explained.

"Well if that's the case then with time he'll be more comfortable with sharing, oh look who it is." Sunset gestured to the entrance where Spike just entered.

"Hey Spike over here." Twilight called to him, Spike made his way to their station.

"Hi girls." he greeted.

"Good to see ya sugarcube, things going well?" Applejack asked.

"As well as it could be." he shrugged.

"Good to hear, hey so you sure we can't drop by your house later?" Sunset asked.

"Look I'm sorry but like I said we're still settling in." he said, trying his best to lie but still couldn't resist Applejack's suspicious eye.

"Well okay then, maybe another time." said Twilight.

At that class went on without a hitch, Spike and the girls had no trouble with the activity the teacher assigned, about ten minutes later the school bell rang signaling the end of class and the school day the students were quick to leave, Spike being the last one to exit.

"Bye Spike see you tomorrow." Sunset said waving.

"Later." Spike waved back.

Spike went outside and decided to take a walk home, it took a while but he made it to his house and went to his room he got on his bed and was alone with his thoughts.

'Well today went way better than I thought, those girls seem d really nice and all but still I it's best if I keep to myself.' he thought drifting of to sleep.

Thus ended Spike's first day of school he still had doubts but decided not to dwell on it until the next day in the meantime he can just enjoy his time alone.

Chapter 6: The Weekend

It was the beginning of a new day it was a nice Saturday morning in Canterlot City, in Spike's house he was sleeping soundly, completely content in resting for the rest of the day, that is until the alarm clock went off with a noisy sound.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Ugh." Spike groaned as he turned it off, getting up with a yawn he saw the time read 8:00 A.M.

"Might as well go get some breakfast." he said getting off his bed changing out of his PJ's and into his normal clothes, he then went into the kitchen, he was able to get some bread yesterday and made himself a sandwich with a glass of milk as he was eating he couldn't help but think.

'Ah A Saturday, one of the few days where my life isn't full of stress, now I just need to figure out what to do, I can't just keep myself in here, hmm...well if I'm gonna live in this place might as well be more familiar with it.'

At that Spike finished his meal and went out to get to know his new environment better.

Spike figured the best route would be around town so he went to the more social part, he mostly tried to look like another face in the crowd. He'd check out the places where people hang out the most then the more private parts of town. He was walking in a busy street.

'Man I know cities are supposed to have a lot of people but it looks like this one has no limit.' Spike thought astonished by the multitude of people he saw. His attention was then directed to a bake shop nearby. He walked his way to it.

"Sugarcube Corner." he read, looking at the sign. Looking through the window, he saw all the tasty looking sweets it had.

"Woah, I guess a good snack break wouldn't hurt." at that he went in.

Once inside he saw that the occupants in it was massive he even recognized a few kids from school.

"(Whistle) This place is packed."he commented. He walked over to the counter and tapped on the bell.

"Be right there!" a familiar voice called out.

"Wait is that..." he wondered. His suspicions were confirmed when he saw that it was Pinkie Pie.

"Welcome to Sugarcube Corner can I take you-" she stopped mid-sentence as she saw Spike.

"Spike?" she asked surprised

"Pinkie?" he asked back.

"What are you doing here?" they both asked in unison

"I just stopped by to get a snack. Why are you here?" he asked her.

"Well duh, it's pretty obvious that I work here." she explained gesturing to her work uniform.

"Oh heh right." he said sheepishly.

"So what'll it be?" she asked ready to take his order.

"Guess I'll have just one cupcake." he said plainly.

"Coming right up!" she said as she went to the baking room and immediately came back.

"Here you go."

"Wow thanks, that was pretty quick." he commented paying her the money

"Yeah I make sure my customers get their orders as soon as possible that's why I'm the most valued employee."

"Huh. Talk about commitment to your job."

"You know it. So got any plans later?"Pinkie asked.

"Just strolling around town, taking in the sights and all that."he shrugged.

"Would you like some company? she asked hoping he'll say yes.

"Tempting, but i'm sticking by myself. he said.

"You sure? Trust me I've know this town inside and out and even sideways, I've been to the mall, city hall, the dump."Pinkie listed.

"Thanks but, wait why were you at the dump?" Spike asked giving her a weird look.

"Uh not collect empty bottles to put on my fingers, if that's what you're thinking." Pinkie said darting her eyes left to right.

"Okay then, thanks but I just want a little privacy you know?" Spike reasoned.

"If you say so."Pinkie said a little dejected.

"Well, see you later." Spike said paying her the money and went off.

After exciting from Sugarcube Corner, Spike's next stop was the park. It was like any other park he's seen, it had a playground, a water fountain, a few benches. There were a few people in it, they were just minding their own business, nothing big happening which was okay for Spike.

'Quiet, has wide open space, looks I know where to go if I need some alone time' he thought. Spike was strolling through the park, enjoying the quiet atmosphere, until...

"Gang way!" a female voice called out, Spike turned around and saw a speeding scooter speeding towards him, he jumped and leaped over the scooter, he then saw that the scooter wasn't stopping and that the rider was out of control, he ran to it, and jumped to the rider, getting her off the runaway scooter, which crashed into a tree.

"Whew! That was a close one." Spike said panting. "Hey, you alright?" he asked the rider. She was a girl his age with light gamboge skin and purple hair, she was wearing a black hoodie green shorts, and black boots.

"Oh man...what?" she groaned, opening her eyes and saw who saved her, looking at his eyes, her cheeks started started to go red. "Uh, yeah I'm fine thanks." Spike got up and offered his hand, she gladly took it and he helped her up.

"Looks like your scooter's busted." Spike observed looking at it.

"No prob, I got a spare back home, guess a wheel was a bit loose. By the way I'm Scootaloo." she greeted.

"Spike." he greeted back.

"Scoots!" a voice called out.

"Rainbow Dash, I'm over here." Scootaloo called back.

"Rainbow Dash?" Spike repeated. He tuned to the direction Scootaloo was looking and saw that it was indeed the same Rainbow Dash he knew from yesterday.

"Scootaloo, you okay?" Rainbow asked in worry.

"Don't worry I'm fine, thanks to him." she said gesturing to Spike.

"Spike?" Rainbow asked in mild shock.

"Hey RD." Spike greeted.

"You two know each other?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yeah, we met yesterday, he's the new student that I was telling you about." Rainbow explained.

"Wait, so you mean he's...you know." Scootallo said inching her head towards him.

'What?" Spike asked confused.

"It's nothing, I just told her how you and I ended a soccer match in a tie." Rainbow told him.

"Uh, right right, Rainbow Dash never lost to anyone in soccer so it's kinda amazing that one game was a tie , you must be really good." said Scootaloo.

"It's nothing really." Spike waved off.

"Nothing? I'm guessing that sweet jump you did when the scooter was gunning towards you was also nothing? " Rainboe said skeptically.

"Yeah well, I'm just glad no one got hurt, well bye." he said walking away.

"Hold up, why not hang with us, we know some sweet sights around here." Rainbow offered.

"That's a great idea!" exclaimed Scootaloo loving the idea, and then composed herself. "I mean if you want , totally cool if you don't want to."

"Sorry ladies, maybe when I have time." said Spike as he walked away.

"That guy sure likes to play the loner thing, nonetheless he's cool, right Scoots?" asked Rainbow, when she didn't hear an answer, she saw that Scootallo was staring at Spike as he walked, and had a smile on her face.

"Huh? Oh yeah, he's definitely cool." Scootaloo said, blushing a bit.

"Right then, come on, let's get that spare scooter. " Rainbow said. With that the two walked off.

Spike would have made it to his next destination if the rumbling of his stomach hadn't made him take a slight break, he was too far to get back to Sugarcube Corner, so he had nowhere else to go. He decided to ask a few people if there was any place to eat.

"Oh yeah, Sweet Apple Acres isn't far from here, just keep going that way." A random teen told him.

"Got it, thanks man." said Spike, he went to the direction the guy pointed to and arrived at a huge orchard filled with countless apple trees as far as he could see, there was a barn, so there had to be workers, he went through the entrance and took in the sights.

'Wow, the farmers here must have great soil.' he thought. He saw one of the workers nearby and walked towards her.

"Excuse me, there anything to eat around here?" he asked.

"Sure thing, what'll it-" she started before turning to see who it was. "Spike?"

"Applejack? You work here?" Spike asked.

"Work here? Hon I work and live here." answered Applejack. "You said you wanted a bite?"

"Yeah, got anything?"

"Yer in luck, we got a freshly baked batch of apple pie. Come on it's in the barn."

"It's okay I can just wait here."

"I will have none of that, Ah was taught to show hospitality to everyone especially mah friends, come on the pies are waiting." said Applejack, taking Spike's hand, together they both went inside the farmhouse, once they went to the kitchen, he saw an elderly women at the stove, Spike instantly recognized her as one of the lunch ladies from school.

"Granny Smith, Ah got a friend who's in the mood for some apple pie." said Applejack.

"Well pull up a tab;e and get ready to enjoy yourself youngin', the Pie will be ready in just a sec." said Granny. Spike and Applejack took seats at the table and made small talk.

"So, your grandmother works a school." said Spike.

"Yeah, everyone there sure loves the food she makes." Applejack told him.

"Must be embarrassing at times, huh?"

"No not at all...well actually at times yes, but she means well, besides you can always count on family." That comment made Spike look dejected for a moment, but quickly composed himself before she could notice.

"Alright kids, here's some apple pie." Granny Smith said handing two pies to both of them. Applejack eagerly ate hers, Spike looked at his for a moment, before taking one bite out of the pie, and instantly smiled in bliss.

"Woah, this is really great." he said enjoying the taste.

"Thank ya kindly sonny." Granny Smith said with a smile. After finishing the pie, they heard a truck pull over.

"That must be Big Mac and Applebloom." said Applejack.

"Who?" asked Spike.

"My big brother and little sister, they were running some errands."'she explained. The three went out and saw an older teenage male, with light red skin, with orange hair, moderate sap green eyes, wearing a red unbuttoned shirt over a white undershirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes, next to him was a girl about his age, with pale olive skin, with red hair tied up in a bow, tangelo eyes, was wearing a plain yellow shirt, and shorts.

"Hey you guys, ya got everything?" Applejack asked her siblings.

"Eeyup." Big Mac answered in his deep voice.

"Sure did." said Applebloom, she then noticed Spike. "Hey, aren't you that new student?" she asked him.

"Yeah, pretty much." answered Spike.

"Spike here stopped by for something to eat." Applejack explained. Big Mac went to the trunk and lifted the cargo. Applebloom followed after him.

"Let me help you Big Mac." she said.

"Careful little sister, might be too heavy for ya." Applejack warned.

"Don't worry sis, I...ugh...git this." Applebloom said, trying to to lift the crate, only to have a lot of difficulty doing so.

"I got it." Spike said, going over to her, and lifting the crate effortlessly carrying the crate for her.

"Oh wow...uh thanks." Applebloom said in awe.

"Huh, yer stronger than ya look." said Applejack in slight surprise.

"I...work out sometimes." Spike said, lifting a few more crates, drawing a few awed looks from the Apple family, especially from the sisters, with Applebloom slightly blushing.

"Where do you want these?" he asked Granny Smith.

"You can just put 'em down son, we can handle the rest." Granny answered, snapping out of her shock.

"Well, bye nice meeting you all." said Spike heading off.

"Well he seemed like a nice child." commented Granny.

"Eeyup."

"That he was." Applejack said.

"Definitely." Applebloom said. 'Not to mention kinda cute.'

As Spike walked, he wondered where he should go next, he already checked out the other eating joints, and other hangouts around town, he then spotted a few students he vaguely recognized from school leaving what looked like some kind of Fashion store. Since he had nowhere left to go, he decided to go in. Opening the door, he also rung the bell.

"On my way!" said a female voice. The owner tuned out to be Rarity. "Welcome to the Carousel Boutique how may I help-Spike?"

"Rarity?" he asked.

"Darling, how wonderful it is to see you! What brings you by?" she asked.

"Nothing important, I'm just walking around town. So...nice place you got here." said Spike.

"Why thank you darling, I convinced Mother and Father if I could open one up, needless to say it took a while but eventually they saw how well I can run a shop, and well here we are." explained Rarity. Before the two of them could continue they heard a crashing sound.

"What the?" asked Spike

"Oh Sweetie Belle!" The two went to the back and saw a few mannequins on the floor covered in paint, a few torn up dresses. The one was responsible was about Spike's age, she hard light gray skin, brilliant sap green eyes, mulberry eyes with pale rose highlights and was wearing a yellow skirt, covered by a pink minidress over a striped T-shirt, she was smiling very nervously.

"Hey Rarity..." she said sweating a little.

"I take it she's your younger sister." Spike guessed.

"Yes, unfortunately." answered Rarity. "Sweetie Belle, what did you do this time." she asked in outrage.

"I was just knitting something and went to get some paint and then well..." Sweetie Belle gestured to the mess.

"Why must you constantly do things like this?"

"Hey Rarity take it easy, it was an accident, could've happened to anyone else." Spike defended.

"I suppose you're right." Rarity said calming down a bit. "I guess we'll clean up later. Rarity then thought of something.

"Spike, could I ask a favor out of you?" she asked batting her eyelashes with a sweet smile and giving him bedroom eyes.

"Um, what would that be?" he asked blushing a little bit.

"I have a few new suit ideas, I've been working on, would you be a dear and maybe try one of them one?" Rarity asked sweetly.

"Uh...sure."

"Splendid! It's right behind those curtains." Spike went behind the curtains and took a few moments to change.

'Man, the things a guy is willing to do for an attractive girl.' he thought.

"Are you finished yet darling?" Rarity asked.

"Almost...and done." Spike, said as steeped out of the curtains, he was wearing a fancy black tuxedo that looked something from a spy movie, he also had a top hat on for show, he looked a little unsure. Rarity and Sweetie Belle on the other hand definitely approved.

"OH...MY...GOODNESS!" exclaimed Rarity with glee, she ran over and cupped his face with her hands. "Just look at you, you look simply adorable, my little Spikey-Wikey!" she said, giving him a hug.

'Spikey-Wikey!?'

"Sweetie Belle, doesn't he look simply dashing?" Rarity asked her sister. Sweetie Belle was looking at Spike with wide eyes, taking in his appearance, and she certainly agreed, evident by the blush adorning on her face.

"Uh-Huh." she mumbled.

"Can I change now, I gotta be somewhere else." asked Spike awkwardly.

"Oh of course darling. But first a picture" said Rarity pulling out her phone and taking a picture of him. Spike went back to the curtains ad changed back into his normal clothes.

"Bye for now girls." said Spike, walking through the exit.

"Oh he is just so cute." Rarity said blushing. 'Human, dog, or dragon, he's adorable either way.'

After leaving, Spike casually walked down the road, thinking of where else should he go, he was snapped out of his thoughts when he saw a brown dog running very quickly.

"Woah, hold up little fella.' said Spike, as he knelt down to stop it. "What are you doing out here by yourself, hmm no name tag." he observed checking its neck.

"Cuddles, where are you?" Someone called out. Spike looked up and saw Fluttershy, she then looked his way and noticed the dog. "Spike, you found him!" she exclaimed running over to them.

"Fluttershy, is this dog yours?" Spike asked her.

"Hm? Oh no, he belongs in the animal shelter, 'Cuddles' is just the name I gave him." she explained.

"Ah." he nodded.

"Hey, is it okay if you walk back with with me..." asked Fluttershy, blushing.

"Well, uh...

"I mean if it's alright with you, it's perfectly fine if you don't want to..."

"Fluutershy..."

"You probably have other stuff to do, I don't want to intrude in your business..."

"It's really no trouble..."

"Maybe I should just go, I don't wanna be any bother..."

"Fluttershy! I'll go with you." said Spike.

"R-Really?" she stammered surprised.

"Yeah, as long as you're up for it."

"Well, yes I am." she said. With that they both went to the animal shelter with Cuddles being carried by Fluttershy. It was a 4 minute walk until they reached it.

"So, you work part-time here?" he asked.

"Yeah, you wouldn't believe how many animals I find abandoned out on the streets, I found Cuddles in an alley, all alone. Can you imagine being all alone, with no family to watch over you?" she asked rhetorically, rubbing Cuddles's back. Spike looked at the dog with empathy.

"I have a pretty good idea." he muttered.

"What was that?" she asked.

"Uh nothing. You need help with anything else?" he asked her, hoping to change the subject.

"Well, it is time for the animals' feeding." she responded.

"Okay, I can help with." said Spike.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Spike and Fluttershy proceeded to enter the shelter, and tended to each of the animals. Some of them were a bit difficult to handle, most notably a mischievous bunny, after a few minutes every animal was resting save for one, it was a pitbull that was growling.

"Oh dear, Manny's acting up again." said Fluttershy in worry.

"He's always like this?" asked Spike.

"Manny kinda has a temper, sometimes it's hard even for me to calm him down, but deep down I know he just needs to see that I can be trusted." Fluttershy said.

"You really love animals don't you?" observed Spike, he kinda admired her for being so compassionate.

"Of course, sure some them may come off as intimidating, but I believe that they just want to be left alone, that's all." she reasoned.

'That I can totally get.' Spike thought. He then came up with an idea, it was a little risky, but he figured it was worth a shot. He walked over to Manny and moved his hand towards him.

"Spike-"

"It's alright, I got this." he assured. Manny was looking at Spike growling, until he looked him in the eyes, at that moment Manny actually started to calm down, he lowered his head, welcoming Spike's gesture. Spike proceeded to rub his head soothingly.

"There see? I'm not gonna hurt you." Spike told him, Fluttershy looked on in shock.

"Wow, other than me he's never acted that way to strangers." she said.

"Guess you're not the only one who's good with animals." he quipped causing her giggle.

"No, I guess not. Well that's enough for today." she said.

"In that case, I'm off." he told her.

"Are you sure it's starting to get late." she said looking out the window.

"It's cool, I'l be alright, later Flutters." he said, walking out.

"Bye." she waved.

The sun was beginning to set, Spike new that he had to finish his sight-seeing soon, though he contemplated whether he should make one last stop or just turn in for the day. He then took notice of what looked life the public Library, now that he thought about it it was the only place he didn't visit, since he was sidetracked a few times, he probably didn't have any time to go. Deciding he would make one last stop before going home, Spike went to the library and went inside. It was quite large compared to the library from school. He was snapped out of his musings by two voices calling his name.

"Spike!" he turned and saw it was Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer.

"Oh it's you two, what's up?" he greeted.

"Nothing much, I was just helping Twilight pick out a few books, what about you?" Sunset asked him.

"I mostly have been seeing parts of the city all day, the library's the last stop, ran into the rest of girls along the way." explained Spike.

"So now you ran into us, huh what are the odds? Anyway I got one more book to pick out, but it's high up on a shelf, since I'm carrying the books, Sunset volunteered to climb up a ladder to get it, bu we need someone to hold it." Twilight told him.

Spike remembered how he helped some of the girls earlier, he figured that it was only right that he also helped out with this.

"Maybe I could hold the ladder." he said.

"Really?" Sunset asked in surprise.

"Yeah, I've been doing favors nearly all day, might as well help you two with something." he reasoned. Twilight and Sunset were grateful for his offer and accepted it. Spike followed them to where the shelf was, Sunset climbed up the ladder they beforehand, while Spike held the ladder as he said.

"Okay steady Spike, I almost got it." Sunset told him.

"Don't worry, I got this." he assured her. Soon enough, Sunset found the book they were looking for.

"So Twilight that's a lot of books you have, what you have some assignment from school you're working on or something?" he asked.

"Oh no, I'm just interested in these." she answered.

"Really, you have like 10 books, you might as well pull off from sleep for a while." he commented

"It's alright, reading is basically my favorite hobby." she said.

"Alright, I have the book-woah!" she exclaimed as she lost her footing.

"Sunset!" Twilight exclaimed. Sunset was falling down and would've landed on the floor, if Spike hadn't acted fast and caught her, along with the book. He then looked at her.

"You alright?" he asked.

"Um f-fine, thanks for the save." Sunset said, a blush beginning to appear on her face.

"That was way too close, nice catch Spike." complimented Twilight "Uh you can put her down now."

"What?" they asked in unison. They noticed that he was still carrying her in bridal-style.

"Oh! Heh sorry uh here's the book." he said blushing a little bit, he put her down and handed her the book he caught.

"It's alright." she said also a little red in the face. "Nice job catching the book, you have fast reflexes." she complimented.

"Thanks, I should probably get going now, I'll be seeing you." he said walking off.

"Yeah, bye." she waved, she couldn't help but stare at Spike as he left. She was snapped out of her daze by Twilight nudging her.

" You okay?" she asked."

"Yeah, of course." she answered.

After leaving the library, Spike decided it was now time to go back to his house, he's done enough sight-seeing for one day, it took about 20 minutes but he made it back. Since it was so late he waled upstairs and collapsed on his bed.

'Well that about clears up today. Still though It was kinda nice seeing those girls again, for as long as I could remember no one has ever tried to make friends with me, not that I mind just that it rarely ever happen.' he thought.

Yes, it certainly did astound him, Spike never tried to make friends before, either because he didn't want to or no one bothered to try, nevertheless he had to admit those 7 girls were alright. He wouldn't say that he considers them BFFS now or anything just that he wouldn't mind hanging with them only if he's actually up for it that .
