Diamonds and Friendship Are Forever
Chapter 1: Chaper 1: The Note
“Dear Princess Celestia, it has come to my attention that somepony has seen me, and wants to be on a date with me.” Twilight Sparkle had said to Spike, who was taking the letter to the Princess. “Wait, what?” said Spike interrupting Twilight’s train of thought. “Somepony wants to take you out!?” “Well yes Spike” said Twilight. “He have noticed me and thought they have that I am beautiful. Ether that or they are in love with me.” Spike stuck out his tongue and poked at it and down his throat. “Spike, it’s not like you are in love with somepony else you know.” “I know.” said Spike. “It’s just… it’s just…” “It’s what Spike? You can say anything to me, remember?” Spike let go of the letter, and sat down on a chair in the room. “Well, I’m just not sure if this guy really loves you. If he just wants to take you away from your friends and me.” Twilight looked at Spike, and walked next to him. “Spike, I would never, ever, let that happen to you or my friends. He just wants to see if we could go together.” Spike looked happy, but still had the idea of losing Twilight’s friendship to him.
“Hey, Twi…” “Yes Spike?” “What this guys name anyways?” Twilight was confused for a moment trying to remember this guys name. “Hmmm, let me take a look at the note again.” Twilight walked over to a nearby table that had the note on it. It said; “Dear Twilight Sparkle, I have noticed you from afar and wish we could talk together. If you wish to meet me, come to Sugar Cube Corner at 8:30 PM. I’ll be the gentlecolt that is light brown and dark brown hair. I’ve reserved table 14 for us.” “It doesn’t say, he just said to meet him at Sugar Cube Corner.” Twilight had said somewhat loudly. Spike was confused. “Why would he do that? I mean it is kind of rude for a date.” “Spike, it’s called a blind date for a reason.”
Soon afterwards, they heard a knock on the door. “Twilight? You in there?” It was Rarity. “You can come in Rare.” Rarity had her back basket full, and her mouth had a small rope to help hold the basket from falling down. “I can’t really do that dear. Can Spike open the door for me?” When Spike he had heard the words “Spike” and “Open the door for me” had ran to the door to help her right away.
Rarity had her basket full of cloths, and gems. Spike soon felt hungry for gems. “Twilight, do you have a book on sewing? I’ve forgotten a trick on it. Hard to believe right?” Twilight answered. “Yes, I think I do, but it is in the back of my collection of books.” Rarity was shocked. One because of Twilight having a book on sewing, and two, she thought Twilight had trying to learn sewing. “Twilight dear.” Rarity said. “Have you ever tried sewing?” Twilight nodded yes. “I have, I was not very good at it, and it was not my cutie mark. It was a small hobby of mine for a very short time.” Rarity had put her basket down on the floor next to her. Twilight had gotten a ladder and went far back into her house. Spike was alone with Rarity. He was soon seeing hearts around her again. “Rarity, I um, uh…” He was lost for words. “What is it Spike?” “I uh… I lo –“ “FOUND IT!” Twilight had said from afar. Soon, Twilight was seen running towards them holding the book with her magic.
“Ah, here you are Rarity, your book.” Twilight said happily. “Ah, thank you dear.” Rarity had soon picked up her basket and put it on her with Spike’s help. “I’ll be off.” Rarity said turning to the door. “Wait!” said Twilight. “I have something to tell you Rare.” “What is it dear?” “Oh no…” said Spike. “Somepony left me a note on my door saying that he wants to be on a date with me.” Twilight had said happily, but was confused how to react. “THAT’S WONDERFUL DEAR!” Rarity said loudly and happily, even more so than Twilight was about it. “It is?” said Twilight. “Oh yes dear, I have to tell you all about it! There are just some things that you just can’t learn from books dear.”
