Not long ago, DJ Vinyl Scratch was approached by an adoring fan. The two hit it off pretty well and became rather close. However things became complicated when a vicious being known as Dr. Gray attacked the little filly. At first Vinyl was drawn to protect her little fan, however the monster quickly proves far too powerful for her and the history shared between the filly and the monster proves to be horrifying all by itself. Our DJ hero starts to find herself desperate and as events continue to unravel, she begins to question if she is really even helping.

As Vinyl races to save her friend, something else becomes apparent. The creature attacking young Lightning Strike, has far more in mind than just attacking a foal. Something he says will change the course of pony history forever.

This story is part of the "EVENT" series, three stories told in parallel to each other. They basically go over the same story from three different vantage points, Vinyl Scratch, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. This story is from Vinyl's POV. Unlike my previous stories, this story is more of a thriller. If you don't want to read Mentoring is Awesome, as it is a very different series from this story, you won't need to to understand what is happening.
