The promise couple
Chapter 8: The trip day 2 - part 1 almost time to go home
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAlex was downstairs making breakfast, he was listening to a little bit of Metallica while he cooked. It wasn't the early Metallica, which was more rock and roll, but it was late Metallica which was metal. The song he was listening to was enter sandman, he was bobbing his head while cooking eggs and bacon. He heard someone walk into the kitchen, he looked over to find soul getting a glass of water.
"Morning Soul. How did you sleep?" Alex said.
"I slept like a rock. I had a weird dream about my baby sister though." Soul said.
"You have a baby sister?" Alex asked.
"Yep, she was born a few months before you got here. It's ashame you missed the baby shower though." Soul sipped on his water and Alex turned the stove off.
"I'll be right back." Alex said. He walked up the stairs to his room, peeking under his bed for something. He reached under and pulled out a brown, wooden box. He opened the box and smiled. He quickly closed the box and walked back down the stairs with it in hand.
"Here. It's for the baby when she gets old enough." Alex said.
"What is it?" Soul asked. Alex popped the latch open and opened the box. Inside was a black leather jacket.
"It's my first leather jacket I got when I went to my first motorcycle gathering." Alex said. Soul picked it up and examined it. It had a patch centered on the back of it. It was a white scylla wet of a man on a motorcycle, the man was doing a wheelie and there was text below it. The text read "freedom rides on." The jacket was in perfect condition.
"Wow... Just.... Wow." Soul said.
"dont worry about depriving me of a jacket, I have plenty of other jackets. But this one is special because of the great memories it holds. That day was what made me a rider, and that will always stick with me." Alex said.
"Damn dude, I think she'll love it!" Soul said. He carefully put the jacket back in the box.
"Just tell her it was a gift from uncle Alex." Soul nodded. "If she decides she wants a motorcycle when she's old enough, I'll give her one of my bikes from my collection."
"From your collection?" Soul asked.
"Oh yeah, you guys haven't seen my house yet. Well, I have a decently big house with a massive garage. I decided, what better thing to do with all that space, then to fill it with motorcycles. They are mostly Sportbike's, but I have some cruisers too." Alex said.
"Really? you own cruisers?" Soul said.
"Sure do. I have a Honda Magna, a few custom choppers, I even have a Breakout." Alex said.
"Breakout? As in the Harley Davidson Breakout? If you already had a Harley, then why did you buy one when I wouldn't stop bugging you?" Soul asked.
"I never turn down an opportunity to buy another bike. How else am I suppose to get away with buying bikes for the collection?!" Alex said.
"So the sportster is-"
"My second official Harley, yes. But if you count all Harley's, then you have to count the choppers too, which I have seven of." Alex said.
"So wait, that's-" soul stopped to count. "Nine Harley's all together. Dude, how many bikes do you have?!" Soul asked.
"I have seventeen so far." Alex said.
"How do you get all of them?!" Soul asked.
" Alejandra has a brother who is a little bit famous when it comes to mechanics. He loves dropping off bikes from time to time. He even calls me his little bro, even though we're not related. I guess he feels bad because I don't have any siblings. He even let me help him build the choppers." Alex said.
"Dude, that's sick. What's his name?" Soul asked.
"Richard Garret. He's actually coming over for the week, he should be getting here tomorrow." Alex said.
"Wait, Richard Garret? As in THE Richard Garret?!" Soul asked.
"Jezz, you are full of questions aren't you. Yes, I do mean THE Richard Garret. Why do you think Alejandra's full name is Alejandra T. Garret?" Alex asked.
"Dude, she never mentioned her full name to us." Soul said.
"Oh well, sorry" Alex said. "If your going to eat breakfast before we head home, I suggest you do so."
Night walked down the stairs, clearly he had just woken up.
"Mornin' night. Wow, that statement is just ironic. You getting something to eat before we head home?" Alex asked.
"Yeah." Night said. Alex waited for him to say something else.
"You don't say much do you?" Alex said.
"Piss off!" Night shouted.
"Ok, damn! Jezz, why are you in such a bad mood?" Alex asked. Night sighed.
"Sorry, I get a little hot tempered sometimes." Night said.
"You know, I know a few ways to get rid of that anger." Alex said.
"Really? How?" Night asked.
"You ever noticed that one tree outside that looks like the bark has been hacked off of?" Alex asked. Night nodded. "That's from me, repeatedly hitting the tree all the time, with a metal baseball bat." Alex said, taking a sip of his milk.
"Why were you hitting a tree?" Night asked.
"It wears me out, and I can't stay angry when I'm worn out." Alex said. Night chuckled a bit. "I'm serious. One minute, I'm pissed to all high hell. So I beat the shit out of a tree and become so exhausted I just say 'fuck being angry' and leave."
"Thanks man, I think I get the general idea. Although I don't think I'll be hitting a tree, I may try doing some sprints when I get mad." Night said.
"No problem. Now, if you don't mind, I have a tree to kick the shit out of." Alex said. He walked toward the front door and grabbed a titanium baseball bat that was left near the door. Alex opened the door and shut it. Night took a few deep breaths, trying to clear his mind. Unfortunately, his concentration was broken by the sound of a metal bat hitting a tree. Night sighed.
"Screw it." Night said. He walked out side and picked up a stick from the ground. Him and Alex beat that tree for roughly an hour. Next Chapter: There's more?! Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 15 Minutes
