"Fine! Go! I don't need you anymore!" I yelled at Shining Armor during the fight. Shining turned away and left me. A single tear streamed down my face as I collapsed to the floor and began to sob. "No, why did I not do something? I'm the princess of love! Why did I do this?! I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry. Why?!" I whispered as I began to drown myself in my salty tears. "Why did you do it Cady? Why did you break off your ever so cute relationship with Shiny?" a pure psychotic voice said from the shadows. She stepped out into the light, revealing herself. Her teal blue hair flowed down her body to her hooves, the holes and tatters in hair always kept me wondering how they are there. Along with her hooves and oddly shaped horn. Her green eyes illuminated the dark room, somehow making it darker and darker and her eyes began glowing brighter and brighter as she approached. "Why did you do this? I needed love to feed my kingdom! You truly do fail at being princess of love! After all the things you've done to me, this is the cruelest. You and Shining Armor's love kept my kingdom alive, and now all hope for it is gone. You will pay for all the pain you have brought to me." She hissed, her eyes glowing brighter, a lime green aura appearing around her horn as her insect wings beat up and down, raising her up. Her magic shot out of her horn straight at me. Green flames surrounded me, just like when Chrysalis banished me to the crystal caverns before. Only, that didn't happen. It burned my arms and legs, my face and hooves. It hurt severely. I screamed with pain and agony as the hot tears spilled down my face even more, making my burns sting even worse. Chrysalis laughed maniacally, raising her horn to finish me off. I turned away, not being able to bear the fate I was no given with. Before my whole world went black, I let out an ear splitting shriek as I felt myself slip away into nothingness.

"Gah!!!" I jolted up from bed. Beads of sweat poured down my face and I panted severely. I placed a hoof over my chest, feeling my heart beating at sonic speed. I sighed and flopped back down on my bed. "Another nightmare?" I groaned. "Come on Luna, you're supposed to give me sweet dreams."

I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." I sighed.

"Are you okay Princess?" One of my royal guards, Flash Sentry answered. (I know, I didn't want to put him in here but I have to. :/)

"I'm fine...." I groaned, placing my hooves over my face.

"Okay, sorry to disturb Princess." He closed the door and left. I could here the sound of his hooves trotting against the crystal floors of the castle until it completely vanished. I sighed once more. I felt so lonely now that Shining Armor and I are divorced. Even though we're still friends, I have an uncomfortable feeling whenever I talk to him now. I miss his comforting voice whenever I woke up from a nightmare and his warmth next to me in bed. I feel so alone now that I rule by myself. I really regret letting him go.

I trudged out of my room and onto my balcony, staring down onto my lovely kingdom. Everypony else was so happy while I was miserable. I sighed, a tear slipping down my cheek. I walked back into my throne room.

"Your highness, Princess Twilight and her friends are here to see you." one of my guards told me.

"Send them in." I said with no emotion at all.

A minute later, Twilight came in with her friends. "Hiya princess!" Pinkie Pie bounced over to me, bright and bubbly as ever.

"Pinkie, that is not how we great royalty!" Rarity scolded Pinkie Pie.

"No, it's fine. I don't mind." I said.

"Howdy there Princess Cadence." Apple Jack trotted over to me. "How ya feelin'?" she asked.

"Fine." I said.

"You sure Cadence?" Twilight walked over to me. "You've seemed to be pretty off the last couple weeks, really depressed and all glum."

"I'm fine Twilight, trust me." I said reassuringly, even though I knew I wasn't fine. I just didn't want her and her friends to worry about me.

"So, Princess, how come you're just sitting here?" Rainbow Dash flew over to me. "You should be doing something fun!"

"No thank you Rainbow Dash, I'm not in the mood right now." I sighed.

"Don't worry Princess, I hope you will cheer up eventually."  Fluttershy patted my shoulder sympathetically. I lowered my head. I felt eyes staring at me from the shadowy corner of the room. But when I looked up, nopony was there. I must've been imagining things. Today would be a long day.
