Chapter 42: Reunion

Symbols POV

I just stood with my arms folded, listening to what my brother had to say. There was no trick, no lie, I already knew all he was saying was the truth. "You're right...this is a problem..." I spoke almost emotionlessly.

"So, what're we gonna do about this?" He asked as he lay back on the frozen pony he was resting on.

"By we you mean me right?" He just nodded. "Right...well for starters, I'm going to look into this, see if there's any way around it. The timeline corruption is easy enough once we find Celia and Dementia, but this..." I shook my head abd sighed. "I'll do what I can to find another solution, you try and think of something in the meantime."

With that, the dream faded and I slowly opened my eyes. I simply lay there, my mind wandering to what Forge and I had just discussed. Sighing, I rolled out of bed and yawned. When I opened my bedroom door I was greeted by the sweet aroma of Symphs cooking. Something about his food just made it irresistible and delicious, I'm sure Lisa would love to get a few tips from him, considering she loves to cook. Still trying to figure out if that's committing to gender roles or just a hobby for her, none of my business anyway.

I entered the living room to find everyone eating away at a roast my son had made, with Marcus eating through a hole in his helmet. "You ever gonna take that thing off?"

"Nope, not outside my universe anyway." He replied before eating a spoonful of beef stew.

I rolled my eyes and sat down, one of Symph's black arms reaching over abd handing me a plate of steak covered with gravy. "Looks good son, thank you."

"My pleasure." He responded with a small smile before giving Abi a plate of vegetables and fruit. She could eat meat, but preferred plants over meat, which helped her blend in as a pony in any Equestrian Universe. Good thing they're oblivious to their names linking to their personalities and talents. I believe a common joke for that is something to do with a pony named "Murder McKillingspree" or something. I'm not sure.

As I was eating, I could feel something. Someone was calling me from my old token. That didn't make sense though, I thought they were all destroyed and replaced. I focused on who was calling me, and who it was suprised me. It was William, the Bill Cipher displaced I had met when I was in my old Equestria. It seemed a Nightmare Fuel and another strange creature was in his universe.

"Ashley, Symph, Marcus, finish up, we've got to go help an old friend of mine.

“Symbol, if you're there, I could use your help.”

There was a moment of silence before a purple vortex opened up and three figures fell out. One was a man in green armour, which Bill recognised as Master Chief from the Halo games. The next appeared to be a young woman with medium long black hair and grey eyes, freckles on her cheeks. She wore a large black hat with goggles on the base that appeared to have a happy face and sad face on each end. She also wore a white tank top and black shorts with black combat boots.

The third was a young boy, looking around 12 years old. He wore a tuxedo with a black tailcoat, his hair was black and slicked back, his eyes caught Bill off guard though, they had in irises, only black reptilian slits for pupils.

As Bill was about to add who they were, a fourth figure walked out of the vortex before it disappeared. It was a young man, looking around 19, with long grey hair and purple eyes, he wore a purple t-shirt with grey jeans and purple boots, a black band on his right wrist. The fourth figure looked around before his sights landed on Bill, a small smile coming to his face. “Well, didn't expect to be coming back to this world. Hey William.”

Bill stared in confusion. “Symbol?”

“Yeah it's me, been a long time since I last saw you. How've you been?”

Bill just blinked and shook his head. “How the hell are you like this? You “died”, and it's only been a month.”

Symbol shook his head and began to explain. “Time flows differently on different worlds, not to mention someone's been screwing around with time lately, for you it's been a month, while for me it's been a couple of thousand years.”

“Wait… Thousand years?”

“I was thrown back in time a few times, so I've lived for a couple of millennia.” Symbol shook himself before smiling. “Enough of the complicated stuff, it can wait, you said you needed help, what with?”

Bill gestured towards the purple yellow eyed figure that he had trapped. “I believe you know how to deal with these things.”

“Oh, sure.” Symbol walked over to the barrier and clenched his fist. “Drop the barrier.”

Bill nodded and did as instructed. Once the barrier was down the creature tried to strike Symbol, only for him to step to the side and nail it in the chest, his fist coated with purple fire. The creature fell to its knees before growling and stabbing it's tendrils into his chest. Symbol grunted before he grabbed two of the tendrils, pulled them out and stabbed them into the other two. The creature cried in pain before pulling back, retracting the tendrils and keeping a safe distance.

“Ashley, a little help please?” He asked while holding his wounded chest. The girl dashed forward, her entire body coated in flames, her arms turning black and steel like before she punched the creature in the face and then spin kicking it into the ground. The creature fell limp before its body collapsed into mist and converged in one spot, forming a dark purple orb, which Symbol immediately stepped on and crushed. “There, problem solved.”

Suddenly, the girl punched him in the arm and glared at him. “You went easy on it, stop being careless you know how much I hate seeing you get hurt!”

“It was just one little Nightmare Fuel drone, it's not like the thing could actually have killed me.” The girl huffed before walking over to the Master Chief and the other boy. “Probably didn't need to bring the others, but oh well.”

“Well who knows? Maybe there are more.” Bill shrugged.

“There is still the matter of that.” Hide pointed to the error, whose neck Giff had grabbed and was dragging along the ground. Bill was uncomfortable with the treatment of a Chrysalis, but he didn’t show it. It wasn’t helped when Gif then threw her up, and blades of energy come from Hide’s forearms. He slashed at the error whilst Bill sighed and kept reminding himself it wasn’t Chrysalis.

“So, who’re the kids? You been babysitting for a few millennia now?” Bill asked whilst the two were fighting. Ashley huffed while the boy just chuckled.

“I’m 17, you know.” She pointed out.

“What’s your point?” Bill asked whilst Symbol chuckled.

“No. Ashley here is someone I displaced, same with Chief. I’m training her at the moment. The boy is my son, Symph.” Symbol explained. Bill nodded whilst his attention was drawn once again to the error, a frown on his face.

“Sorry Symbol I’m listening. Just a little distracted. Do you, uh, know what that is? Doesn’t look like a Nightmare Fuel.”

Symbol scratched his head as he looked at the glitchy Chrysalis. “I don't know, definitely not naturally created. It kinda seems like a certain Undertale AU character...hmm. Well, unless you know any Error Sans displaced I don't know what we can do other than banish it to another realm.” Symbol noticed Bill frown at the mention of an Error Sans displaced.

“There… Well even if I could call him I doubt he’d help.” Bill shook his head and sighed, looking down.

“What do you mean?” Ashley asked. “If you know a displaced they’d be a large amount of help.”

“Didn’t you listen?” Bill rolled his eyes. “I said he wouldn’t help and I don’t know how to contact him.” Giff and Hide were darting around the glitch in reality, dealing a variety of blows.

“Right right…” Symbol sighed. Ashley tried hurting the Chrysalis with her Firefly attack, a large amount of small fireballs, exploding around the error. They did… About as much as Giff and Hide’s attacks. “Symph.” The boy looked to his father in interest. “See if you can find this displaced, and bring him here if you can.”

“Right away.” The boy's body turned black and collapsed into black liquid before slipping through a small crack in reality, which closed as he left.

Bill just stared confused. “Ok...what the hell did I miss?”

“A lot of crazy stuff has happened man, way too much to tell. But just to clarify, Symph is a symbiote, you know like Venom from Spiderman? Except his body works differently.” Symbol explained as he held his head. “I'll tell you more about what's happened later, for now we've got to deal with this thing. Marcus?”

Master Chief walked forward and threw a small device at the creature, a yellow dome made of see through hexagons forming around it, trapping it inside. “It'll hold for awhile, but you'd better come up with a more permanent plan before the bubble shield runs out.” At that, Giff and Hide jumped back, looking at all of them.

“Oh, where are my manors? These two I suppose are my children. Giff and Hide.” Giff smiled and spun around, whilst Hide waved.

“Symbol?” Hide spoke up.

“Yes?”

“Perhaps this isn’t the right time to talk to this but… Would Vivi happen to be with you?” He asked hopefully.

Author's Notes:

Since it will be awhile until the wedding, I thought I'd do another crossover with an old friend.

Please check out Lots Of Things, it's one of the few stories where Bill Cipher isn't made into a hyper version of Discord.
