Chapter 33: Silliness and a moment with Celestia

Symbols POV

I dodged one of the large cakes that had been thrown at me by the raging sun princess. Somehow this little session of dodging various beams and items had found its way into the castles kitchen, with most of the chefs sitting on the sidelines with buckets of popcorn enjoying the show. "Isn't there some other way you can vent your frustration that doesn't involve me being too injured to attend the wedding?!" I pleaded as I jumped out of the way of a bottle of wine which I'm pretty sure cost hundreds of bits.

"No!" Celestia yelled as she tried to grab me in her magic but failed as I put up a small field of my own magic to stop her.

"Come on, surely there are other ways I can help you relieve stress!"

"Did you just make a move on me?!" She yelled disgusted as she fired another ray of solar energy at me which I only narrowly avoided.

"What?! No! Of course not! What the hell did you think I meant by that?!" I yelled as I ducked behind a table and prepared a paralysis spell just in case. "Wait a second! Dud you WANT me to make a move in you?!"

"Of course not you idiot! Now let me blast you!"

"How's about no?" I teleported away from an oncoming attack and reappeared near the ceiling. "Can't we just talk about this? I really need to get back to my business!"

"You mean doing stuff that might endanger this world?! Fat chance!"

"Ok, that's enough!" I dodged a horde of forks being thrown at me like bullets being shot out of a gun and threw a ball of purple light down to Celestia. It landed on her chest and she fell onto her stomach, unable to move her limbs.

"What's going on?!"

I floated down to the raging mare and caught my breath. "Man...I am not stable enough for this." After getting my breathing under control I groaned and rubbed the back of my head. "Was the frying pan really necessary? I swear those things are the ultimate weapon." I fell onto my rear and looked the paralysed Celestia in the eye. "Now, are you going to calm down or am I gonna have to keep you paralysed until you eventually do?"

She growled slightly before her features began to soften. It took awhile, but eventually the tension in her muscles ceased and I was able to undo my spell wit mouth the risk of a ravenous mare ripping me to shreds. "I'm...I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me...I-"

"No need to explain. I forgive you." I quickly says begore she could start going on and on about whatever it was she was going to say. She stared at me in confusion, most likely trying to figure out how I was so ready to forgive. "Look, on my first world, my relationship with the Celestia there wasn't the best. We were constantly locking horns, there were times we worked together, there were times where we wanted nothing to do with each other. It all was eventually resolved, and it wasn't like we hated each other because of personal interest or whatever, it was just the sequence of events that had led up to those points that had really tested our trust. I'm not wanting our relationship to start off negatively."

"Too late for that." She said quietly.

"I know you Celestia, you're always under stress from the demands of the ponies and you fear for their safety. I'm not going to hold that against you, I have my own people that I want to protect too and I fear for their well being. I understand." I assured calmly, trying to sway the situation towards an end that didn't involve me slapping her into a rock.

She looked me in the eye for a moment, thinking over what I had said. She gave a soft smile and got to her hooves. "Thank you Symbol."

"No problem Tia. Just...the next time you're feeling stressed, try taking it out on training dummies instead of me." I chuckled as I rubbed the spot that she had hit with a frying pan earlier in the meeting. "Anyway, if there's anything else you want to ask or want me to do say so now, I've got to make sure my little group doesn't burn down my cabin."

"Actually, I did want to talk to you about something other than the creatures coming into this world." I nodded and sat down with her by one of the few remaining tables. "It's about Rainbow Dash. I heard that she will be accompanying you as a new member of your group."

"You heard right."

"Right. Anyway, as you know she is still an Element of Harmony, I cannot risk her being lost to the beings if the void should the need for her arise."

"It's her choice whether to stay here or come with me, I'm fine either way, none of us can decide that for her." I said while waving my hand. "Besides, if she was lost then her Element would most likely seek a new host, most likely Spike."

"Why Spike?"

"Have you seen the things he's done for the girls? He's been through some rally crazy stuff yet he sticks with them and remains by Twilghts side no matter what. If that's not loyalty I don't know what is." I answered. It was true, Spike, in my opinion, was far better suited to RDs Element, hell so is Applejack.

"I see...can you at least promise that you'll look out for her safety?"

I smiled and placed a hand on my chest. "I promise. I would have done that either way. I always look out for those in my group, now that she's one if them I look out for her too."

She smiled and thanked me before casting a spell to repair the damage caused, which was probably why the chefs were ok with the place being torn apart. I bid farewell to Celestia and began teleporting off towards my cabin.

Author's Notes:

Looks like Tia got that out of her system.
