Ashes In The Wind
Chapter 22: Free of a Nightmare
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAshleys POV
Spike and I waited for Twilight to return with Abi, something I was dreading. I just don't get it, why would she need something to distract Symbol? And in such a way no less. Seriously, who low do you have to be to try and distract someone using their primal instincts? What were they gonna do huh, wait for him to fucking pounce on me to make me his own or some shit? It's fucked up on so many levels and they could have easily tried something else. But nooooo, they have to go give me the body of a fucking model and pose me off as some kinda prize.
I shook those thoughts away, that wasn't me talking, that was the stress of the situation and my nerves talking. I'm sure they have a valid reason, if I wait I can find out what that reason is. Besides, there's nothing wrong with earning a but of attention from a good looking guy right?
We watched as the filly started to stir, I had a feelings we were meant to keep her asleep but I didn't know how. I looked to Spike who seemed to be thinking the same thing. Wondering if there was anything in Fire Fist Aces ability set that would work only one thing came to mind...Conquerors Haki. If you don't know what that is let me explain, it's the ability to use your very willpower on others. It can be used to intimidate an opponent or knock them unconscious. Though its power relies solely on the users overall strength and willpower and only a chosen few were gifted with its power.
Taking in a breath I stared at the filly, concentrating on her and her alone. Everything in the room turned a shade of blue and everything was silent, the filly feel back into a complete sleep. Everything returned to normal and I started feeling woozy. Looking to the young drake beside me I noticed he had a bead of sweat sliding down his forehead. "S-Sorry about that Spike, I didn't mean for it to affect you too."
Suddenly the door opened and revealed Twilight, Celestia and Luna with Abi running up behind them. The two princesses began to inspect the foal, looking at its eyes, taking scans with their magic and such. Both of them turned to me.
"Did you have any part in this?" Celestia asked with hostility.
"No! I would never harm a child or anyone else for that matter! I only attack in self defence or if I'm facing some kind of creature of darkness or something along those lines."
Abi stepped in front of me and looked up at the two alicorns. "Princesses, I can assure you that this is not of her doing. I have already contacted my teacher and he has sent someone who can fix this." I just looked to Abi confused, she turned to me and sighed. "Ashley we are going to have to forget about our last encounter for now, there is something of much more importance at the moment."
As the filly began to stir due to the noise the window opened and a small stream of black liquid floated in quickly and landed near the filly. It gathered and started to form a human figure, looking like a boy about twelve years old. He had slick black hair and was wearing a fancy tux. His eyes though surprised me, they had no irises only black reptilian slits. I assumed that he was another symbiote due to the way he entered.
He began to inspect the filly. He reached his hand over the filly to attempt something but was frozen in Luna's magic. "Who are you?! What were you going to do with that child?!"
He merely smirked and broke into his black liquid, freeing himself from the night princess's magic causing her to stare in shock. He landed back on the ground and turned to his human form and politely bowed. "My name is Symph Shattered, personal agent of Roden Godswell and son of Symbol Shattered at your service. As for what I was going to do with the filly, I was going to free her from her curse. Now if you'll allow me to do this without interruption, I will be able to save this foals life."
'Symph Shattered?' I just watched as Symph walked back over to the filly and reached his hand over her. He placed it on her shoulder and clamped down onto it, he then started pulling. The princesses were about to step but Abi and I stopped them. We looked back and saw that the filly wasn't being pulled, but something else. Symph was pulling out a dark purple substance from the filly's body, as he pulled the colour of the foal began to return.
When he finally pulled the last inch of the substance out of the filly it formed into Nightmare Fuel and tried to run, only for Symph to stretch his arm over and stab his fist through its chest causing it to form into a small purple orb. Picking it up he then crushed it in his hands and dusted himself off.
"There we go, good as new." He said turning to the filly. She had a soft white coat and her mane was poofy and baby blue with a white stripe through it. Her eyes were also baby blue. She looked around with sleepy eyes.
"W-Where am I?" She tried to stand up but fell onto her stomach. Symph reacted quickly and helped her sit up.
"Easy little one, take your time, everything is fine now."
She looked up at him. "What are you?"
He chuckled softly and sat beside her. "Just a nice demon that protects little ones like you from bad demons." The filly began to shake at the mention of 'bad demons.' Symph looked at her with sympathy. "There there little one, the monster from your nightmare is gone now, he can't scare or hurt you anymore."
The filly closed her eyes and hugged Symph. "Thank you nice demon."
Symph smiled warmly and hugged her back. "You're welcome Easy Snow." The filly was about to ask why Symph knew her name but then looked to her name tag. "Now, let's get you back to your parents." He pulled his right sleeve back to show a purple band with a blue sun gem on it, just like mine and the other displaced. "Roden, the Nightmare has been destroyed and the filly is ready to return home."
"Good work Symph, I'll send a portal to your location that will Leda to her neighbourhood."
A portal opened up in the centre of the room. "Princess Celestia, would you please walk through the portal with Easy Snow so you may return her to her mother and father?"
Celestia just looked around the room, confused out of her mind. She regained her exposure and lifted Easy Snow onto her back with her magic. As she walked through the portal Easy waved to Symph who waved back as the portal closed.
"Symph!" Abi yelled in joy as she tackled the symbiote with a hug.
"Hello auntie, it's been too long." The two embraced each other before separating.
"Um I don't mean to intrude on this moment or anything but, could someone explain to me what is going on?!" I exclaimed with anger and confusion.
