Escape the factory
Across the Equestrian seas lay a proud country. It's name was Dressia, home to the humans of Equus. This nation was vast and it was powerful in both physical and technological power. No natural plants grew in this nation, all food was artificially grown and created in factories. However, what the locals of this proud nation didn't know was that one of these factories grew something else.
Dressias greates weapons and soldiers were built in this steel giant. The soldiers known to Equestria as 'Metal Warriors' but we will just call them Cyborgs for now. Cloned from one of this country's greatest military commanders, these cyborgs were all the same in appearance. They all had spiky brown hair and red eyes. They had a rather small build and broad shoulders. They all wore grey jackets with red stripes and a yellow collar. They also wore red jeans and grey boots. Their legs were robotic as well as their right arms, not resembling human parts only in basic shape.
One cyborg however was different. Instead of brown hair he had blonde, anything read was blue.
The assembly line came to a halt as an error was found.

Course of action: Destroy defected warrior
Before a large crane could grab the defected soldier, the cyborg leapt off the moving platforms and made a dash for the exit. Multiple defence systems activated and attempted to blast the rogue, but to no avail. The defect burst through a metal wall and made it to the outside. He looked around at the grey city before him, only lit by red neon lights across the buildings. He looked behind him to see a team of cyborgs chasing him. He ran across a narrow platform until he came to the edge of a cliff. Looking back he saw the cyborgs slowly walking towards him. Taking a leap of faith he jumped into the black ocean below and sank to the bottom.
Once under the water his perusers could not detect him. He knew he would not last long in the water, he frantically looked around for anything that could help him. As his systems attempted to shut down due to the water pressure a message appeared on his HUD (heads up display)
Hello soldier. Do not panic, I have built a special upgrade into you that will allow you to survive underwater. Just engage systems 124 and you are free to live your life as you see fit.
Before you start questioning why you of all of the soldiers have your free will, I had chosen at random. Your name is Cybe Catcher, you have one mission from me and one mission only...live life. I have set the coordinates for the land known as Equestria in your systems, if you have any hope of finding friends, it's there.
Go now, before you deactivate
Cybe read the message before engaging this new system. Finding his metal feet turned to propellers and a mask over his mouth supplying oxygen to his organic lungs, he pressed forward, searching for the land that the message had spoken of.
Meanwhile one lone cyborg continued to stare at the water. During Cybes escape this drone had accidentally been hit by a laser and it rewrote his code. Staring at the ocean while the harsh rain fell down on him he turned back and headed inside.
A few days later in Equestria
Fluttershy sat in her cottage, surrounded by her animal friends. Thanks to being further inland, Ponyville was nowhere near the ongoing battles by the Equestrian coastlines. For now they were safe from the humans and their horrible machines of destruction. Equestria never wanted the war to happen, they never attacked beyond their borders and only acted in defence. So far they had managed to hold their ground while keeping the cyborg army by the coasts where they could drive them back and into the water.
Security forces had been placed all over Equestria, just in case any Dressian forces managed to sneak inland. The thought of the war terrified the timid mare, although out of all of the citizens in Ponyville she was the safest, as her home was secluded in the woods and could only be reached by following a certain pathway.
She had received word that her father, Lightwind Breeze, and her brother, Scuttleshy, were fighting in the war to reclaim the lost land.
Twilight had been researching the cyborgs with a destroyed model provided to her by Celestia, in hopes of finding a way to turn the Metal Warriors off and end the bloodshed.
Rainbow Dash would always be on the lookout for anything unusual.
Pinkie was...Pinkie, cheering up soldiers that were sent to fight.
Applejack had been working overtime harvesting food for the battlefield, a few other earth ponies had volunteered at the farm to help her out.
Rarity still went on as normal, although she received a few special orders for custom uniforms now and again.
That left Fluttershy, unable to help in any way. She was too scared to even leave her cottage to do anything, other than walk into a secret area in the forest which provided her with sanctuary. No one blamed her though, she was too kind a soul to be involved in something like the war.
She got out of her seat and made her way to the door. Shakily placing her hoof on the doorknob, turning it slightly she opened it and walked outside. She made sure to check the area before entering the woods to visit the woodland creatures that couldn't fit into her home.
A short walk later she reached a small clearing with a large tree in the middle. Her smile faded as she heard robotic monotone voices.
"Search the area, the rebel must be around here somewhere." She hid in a bush and watched as a team of three Metal Warriors looked around the area. Shaking with fear, she tried to hold back her whimpers but to no avail, causing one to slip out.
The three soldiers immediately turned to face the bush and surrounded it. One reached in and grabbed Fluttershy by the mane and pulled her out.
"Specimen identifies as female pony, course of action, terminate." The one holding her up with his human hand levelled his robotic claw to her head. The hand retracted and a blaster mussel took its place. She closed her eyes, expecting the end to come when the cyborg holding her was hit by a laser blast.
Fluttershy was dropped and she scurried away behind a tree. She peeked over to see another cyborg standing there facing the others, although his colour scheme was different.
"Target cyborg number #0512 found, proceed to destroy." The two remaining enemy cyborgs pointed their blasters to the new one and fired. Cybe dodged their blasts and held out his hand, it propelled forward with a rope attaching it to his arm and grabbed an enemy's head. He retracted the hand with the rope, bringing the enemy to him where he slammed it into the ground and stomped its head. The last remaining enemy charged forward and the two began a battle of strength.
Cybe threw his opponent off of him and clenched his metal fist, a sword of energy formed around it and he cut the cyborg in half, causing it to explode. Once the dust settled Fluttershy peeked over again and got a good look at the rebelling cyborg. He looked around until he spotted her, causing her to quickly duck her head out of sight.
"Hello, miss? Please come out, I won't hurt you I swear." She listened to his voice, it wasn't monotone, it was definitely a bit robotic but it was filled with emotion. "It's ok, I'm friendly. To ponies anyway, not to cyborgs." This peaked her curiosity, taking a chance she slowly peaked her eyes around the tree trunk to look at him. "That's it, it's ok, I promise to not hurt you. You're actually the first pony I've met so far, it's a miracle that I even got to this place without being spotted by the guards." Fluttershy just looked at him suspiciously. "What's your name?"
"Uh..,um...I'm...Fluttershy..."
He looked at her confused. "I'm sorry I didn't quite catch that."
"F-Fluttershy..."
Cybe smiled warmly. "A beautiful name. My name is Cybe Catcher, it's a pleasure to meet you miss Fluttershy."
The sea of stars
Fluttershy just stared at Cybe, unsure of what to do. Fly away? Call for help? Or trust his word? Looking to a lifeless cyborg on the ground she gulped.
"I promise I will not harm you miss Fluttershy, it's ok to come out." Sensing sincerity in his voice, Fluttershy stepped out of her hiding place, revealing herself to him.
"Why?" Cybe tilted his head at her question. "Why aren't you going to hurt me?"
He blinked before placing a hand to his chin in thought. "Because I don't like violence." Fluttershy just raised a brow and pointed to one of the corpses. "Ok to be fair they were just about to kill you. Besides, they were bred for destruction, it's all they know."
"Then why aren't you like that?"
"You sure do know how to ask some really complicated questions don't you? Truth is I don't really know. I was on the assembly line and I just suddenly started having my own thoughts, others didn't appreciate that much so I broke out." Just then they both heard some guards heading their way. "I can't let anyone else see me, I'll be back when I can so we can resume this little chat." He back-pedalled and started running off into the woods.
Fluttershy sat pondering what she had learned. A being built for violence hating violence? Such a thing was unheard of in this world, especially something that the humans had created. A group of guards appeared out of the trees and gasped when they saw the corpses of the cyborgs.
"Miss, did you see what happened here?" Asked one of the stallions and she responded with a nod. "Could you please tell us?"
A few hours later
"A friendly cyborg?!" Twilight yelled in surprise as Fluttershy told her what had happened. "Are you sure?!"
"Um..y-yes, he wasn't like the other mean ones, he's the one that saved me." After a very tense and uncomfortable talk with the guards, Fluttershy had been allowed to return to her day and immediately told Twilight about the experience.
"That shouldn't be possible, the cyborgs are programmed to destroy and obey the Dressian empire." Twilight began pacing back and forth. "Unless something happened to his circuitry causing his human side to regain control of his body, but that would mean that he'd have no combat data and his robotic limbs would no longer function. Unless someone purposely programmed him to be kind. Or it could be a play to draw us in until he has a chance to destroy us..."
"Um...Twilight?"
"...no, the humans are too ruthless to even think about something like that. A defect maybe? I'd need to scan his code to tell. If only there were a way to track him and find out how he works..."
"Twilight..."
"...no he'd just retreat at the sight of me an-"
"Twilight!" Twilight immediately looked to her shy friend. "He told me he'd be returning, maybe you could ask him then?"
Twilight formed a smile that should have torn her cheeks apart. "Seriously, he's coming back? When? Where?"
"I don't know..."
"Wait! I know how we can possibly track him. I have that destroyed cyborg brain down in my basement. If I can use its programming in a small device we should be able to find this friendly robot!" Twilight shot down a flight of stairs, leaving a slightly terrified Fluttershy alone in the main library.
"I'll just...see myself out."
Deep inside a forest lay a cave leading to an underground section of the area. Inside that area was a magical lake known as the sea of stars, as the crystals and reflections of the water below caused the ceiling of the cave to appear like a beautiful night sky. The water had small glowing orange plants that floated slowly above the surface, providing a small warm light on the starry waters.
The caves also had ancient structures that seemed to be the remains of a highway from when humans had settled into Equestria long ago. A large orb in another part of the cave gave the impression of a moon sitting on the horizon. A lone wooden boat floated in the waters, the passenger being a lonely cyborg staring up at the beautiful work of art.
"This place is amazing." He lay with his arms behind his head, resting in the small boat he had found in the caves above. "This world has so much beauty, why would the humans want to destroy this?" He yawned and closed his eyes. "Questions for later, I need to recharge." Letting the soft waves rock him, he fell into a peaceful slumber.
Waking up in a black void he looked around confused. "Ok, I'm definitely dreaming, just not dreaming of anything." He began to walk in a random direction, his footsteps creating the sound of someone walking on a marble floor. Getting increasingly confused he stopped and looked around. "I don't get it, what is this exactly?"
"Somewhere where we can talk undisturbed." He turned around to see none other than princess Luna walking towards him. He immediately bowed in respect. "I must say that I never thought I'd see the day when a cyborg would bow before me." He rose to his feet.
"Well I do need to show my respect towards you your majesty." Taken back by this Luna recomposed herself.
"Tell me cyborg, what is your name?"
"My name is Cybe Catcher, cyborg #0512 to be precise."
"I...never actually expected you to have a name, I just thought you'd have a number and that's it." Cybe just smiled at her.
"Yeah, I tend to surprise people, in the few days I've been alive for of course."
She nodded. "Tell me, what brings you to my sea of stars?"
"Oh, no reason really. I just needed somewhere to hide and rest for the night. It was by accident that I happened to stumble across the cave. It is really beautiful though."
Luna just looked at him in disbelief. 'He's thinking on his own, this requires further investigation. I intended to interrogate him for information but now I doubt he even has that information still in his memory.'
"Come with me Cybe, I wish to talk t o you about youre unique behaviour." She began walking towards a blue door and Cybe followed, leaving the dream behind.
Arrested mistake
The next day
Cybe ran through the large forest at incredible speeds that shouldn't be possible for him due to his heavy metal parts, a handy upgrade given to him. He sprinted away from his pursuers, princess Cadence and Shining Armour. Not wishing to fight them he decided to run, and run he did. He dodged and weaved through the forest path. Large roots proved difficult for Shining Armour to jump over without losing speed. Cybe just jumped over each obstacle with impressive flips and turns. He held out his metal fist and activated his energy sword, cutting down multiple trees to hopefully block the path as he escaped.
Shining came to a stop as he reached a dead end at the bottom of a cliff. Cybe had used his slingshot claw to quickly get to the top and continued running.
"Don't worry Shiny, I'll get him." Cadence quickly flew up the stone wall and spotted Cybe approaching a huge waterfall. "Perfect, he's put himself into a corner!" Cybe reached the cliff and stopped, looking around for anything that could help him. Hearing hoofsteps coming from behind him he tensed up. "What's wrong cyborg, out of escape plans? Now I will avenge my brother for what your kind did to him!"
Cybe just turned to her with a smirk and gave a playful salute before slowly falling backwards off the cliff. Cadence just looked confused.
"Doesn't he know he can't survive in water?" She looked over the edge and her eyes widened. Cybe fell onto a tree growing out the side of the cliff and broke it off the wall, causing it to fall with him on it down the violent river below. Cadence growled and flapped her wings, flying quickly down to the friendly cyborg. The tree reached the bottom of the waterfall and smashed against some sharp rocks. Cybe jumped off of it beforehand and grabbed a piece of the shattered trunk and began surfing down the violent current with ease, moving so fast the world around him was blurred, Cadence right behind him.
Meanwhile Twilight was walking through another area of the forest with a small device in her magic, Fluttershy following her. "Ok, he should be coming this way now...and he's coming fast!" The reached the river and something zoomed past them. Cybe jumped off his plank and began running into the dense forest. "Hey, his colour scheme was different, what was he running from?" Her question was quickly answered as an enraged Cadence flew past them. "Cadence?"
Cadence slowed down when hearing her name and looked back. "Twilight? What are you doing here?" She was stopped as a large metal fist knocked her down. She slid over to Twilight and Fluttershy and shakily lifted her head. A large robot walked out of the trees. It had the same colour scheme as standard cyborgs but this thing was fully mechanical. It's head was round and red with three large spikes, two glowing yellow eyes. It's body was heavily armoured. Its upper arms were metal poles with wires shield in the joins while the forearms were large and buff, holding various weapons in covered slots. It had two large red hands that had gun muzzles on the fingertips. It's lower body was basically designed the same.
"What's a C-Unit doing this far from the frontlines?" Asked Twilight in surprise. She fired a magical beam at the large robot but it smacked it away. Fluttershy began shivering at the group was backed against the edge, just inches away from the violent current. She began to mumble until she yelled.
"CYBE PLEASE HELP US!!!"
The group heard fast footsteps approaching until the friendly cyborg burst out of a tree and leapt on the C-Unit. He mounted it's back and began punching it's head. He opened his claw and stabbed it through the chest pulling out its power core. He jumped off the fallen machine and let it collapse to the ground. Just then two more C-units appeared with a squad of cyborgs. Looking around Cybe knew it would be impossible to defeat them all and make it out with the three ponies alive..
"You, Unicorn, can you teleport you three out of here?" He asked as he looked at Twilight.
"What about you?" Cybe just looked at the enemies and his eyes glowed yellow.
"I'll be fine, just go!" Twilights horn glowed and the three mares disappeared. The enemies aimed their weapons at Cybe and he took a fighting stance. As the cyborgs were about to fire they were all either blasted by magic or were stabbed by swords and spears. As the last cyborg fell a squad of pony guards emerged from the trees. Just then Cybe felt a stabbing pain in his back and fell unconscious, behind him Shining Armour stood with a stun crystal.
"Place him in magic bonds." The soldiers followed his orders, taking Cybes body and binding his limbs. As he was walking towards the squad he noticed the C-unit that Cybe had taken out and the power core in the friendly cyborgs hand. "Could make a nice project for Twily to work on."
Meanwhile
Back at the Golden Oaks Library Twilight lay Cadence on a couch and sat with a curious stare. "Why'd you attack that cyborg Cadence, there has to be a good reason why. Fluttershy told me that the cyborg you were chasing was friendly."
Cadences look became saddened. "Shining and I were taking a break from all the war stuff by taking a walk down to the sea of stars to spend some time together. When we got there were saw a small boat floating in the water, the cyborg was in it. When it awoke it just jumped from the boat onto the shore. When it saw us it looked afraid, then it started running. We had no idea that he was friendly and acted on instinct, chasing him through the woods. I was blinded by the hatred I held for cyborgs after hearing what they did to my brother, Glowing Heart." Tears formed in the alicorns eyes and she choked. Twilight walked up to her and brought her into a hug.
"Shhhh, it's ok, think of it this way, Glowing is now with Faust in the Forest of Eternity." This helped Cadence to smile and wipe her tears.
"Thank you Twilight. Although we left Shining in the forest, he most likely found a way to get to the cyborg."
"I hope Cybe is ok..." Fluttershy said silently.
"Cybe?" Asked Cadence.
"That's his name, Cybe Catcher. He saved me from a group of cyborgs yesterday, he was really kind to me afterwards before a group of guards showed up, then he ran away."
Cadence closed her eyes and sighed. "If that's true, then I fear that Shining has made a horrible mistake by now."
Court day
The next day, Canterlot Castle
Cybes vision slowly started coming back to him. He was greeted by a bright light when he opened his eyes, causing him to wince slightly.
After his eyes adjusted he looked around and found he was laying on a marvel floor. Getting to his feet he found he was in a large room with huge stained glass windows with illustrations of ponies accomplishments. A throne sat on top of a flight of stairs. "Where am I?"
"You're in Canterlot Castle, the throne room to be exact." Turning around he found himself face to face with an alabaster mare with a flowing multicoloured mane. He rubbed his eyes and looked again, realising he was in the presence of the princess of the sun he got on one knee and bowed respectfully. Celestia was taken by surprise, much like her sister she had never expected a cyborg to bow to her. "Please, rise."
Cybe did as she asked and got to his feet. "What's going on here? All I remember is getting that purple unicorn to get the other two out of the area, then...nothing." Celestia frowned.
"Tell me, do you have a name?" He blinked and nodded.
"I am Cybe Catcher, your majesty." He suddenly stood up straight and looked around cautiously.
"What's wr-" Cybe put a finger to her mouth and walked very slowly around the room. He listened very closely until he changed his claw to his blaster and fired at a cloaked drone hiding in the corner of the room. It's cloak system failed and it dropped to the ground, smashing on impact. "What? What is that?"
Cybe just pointed to it. "It's a stealth drone, built for gathering info on the Dressian empires enemies. It's able to sneak past any and all detection methods, except one of its own design. That's how I was able to tell it was there." He pulled a computer chip out of the broken drone and put it in his pocket, thinking it could be of use later. "Now, would you be so kind as to tell me why I'm here?" He asked in a polite manner.
""Well, the captain of my royal guard had captured you and your squad of cyborgs. We planned to have your body examined and broken down for research, but a certain shy Pegasus told me that you were not like other cyborgs."
"My squad of cyborgs, I don't have a squad." He stated confused. "The only othe cyborgs in the area were the enemy ones. I don't remember any other ones like me being there."
This peaked Celestias interest. Her horn lit up and a table with two chairs appeared. "Would you like a cup of tea?" She asked with a smile.
"I'd love some, thank you."
Flash Sentry stood outside the large golden doors that led to the throne room. Celestia had wanted no one else to be present or near the meeting that most of the ponies in the castle believed was an interrogation. The only guard she had let be near the room was the young Flash, he stood with his spear in hoof as he stared up at the large doors. "I hope the princess is ok in there, the cyborgs are really scary and dangerous."
In another area of the castle, Twilight, Cadence, Fluttershy and Shining Armour sat in the dining room eating their lunch. Shining had a proud look on his face as he munched on his hay-fries. "With the new model cyborg I captured we should be able to get an advantage over the enemy and hopefully bring an end to this war before the summer sun celebration." He stated with his chest puffed out.
"Um, I love you bro, but you might be a little off with that analysis." Said Twilight in a shy tone.
"Oh, and why would that be?" He asked sarcastically.
"First of all, he's not a new model, second he was protecting us and third he wants nothing to do with the war. You basically captured a civilian that was protecting one of the nations leaders and two of the element users." She stated flatly. Shinings ears folded back and he looked to his meal.
"I got caught up in my pride and ego again didn't I?" All three mares nodded. "But how could he not be a new model, he was coloured differently and had more weapons and tools?"
"That I don't know, hopefully he'll let my examine him when we get back to Ponyville." Twilight clapped her hooves in excitement.
"If he's even allowed into Ponyville, he could be seen as too great a threat and be destroyed. You need to think realistically here Twily." He went back to eating his fries. "Oh, and before I forget. I left you an inactive C-unit back in your library, the power core was separated so you don't have to worry about it coming online any time soon." Twilight teleported out of her seat and brought her brother into a bone crushing hug.
"Oh thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" Shining chuckled and returned the hug.
"I wonder what the princess is doing with the cyborg right now." He said to no one in particular.
"And that is why I will never eat a strawberry shortcake ever again." The two burst out laughing and Cybe wiped a tear from his eye.
"He seriously did that to you? There of all the places on your body?" Celestia nodded and they burst out in laughter again. "Now that's what you can call a failed attempt to spice up the relationship."
"I know right?" Celestia poured them another round of tea, she was greatly enjoying herself. She never got to talk about this stuff around anyone else as it would be seen as 'uncouth' and there would be rumours spread around the capital. "I must say that this has been the funniest tea break I've ever had."
"Same...although this is the first tea break I've ever had so it can be considered the worst as well." This got Celestia to smile.
"Well, you have shown that you mean no harm to me or my little ponies, so I graciously welcome you to Equestria Cybe." She held up her cup.
"Thank you Celestia." They clanked their cups and took a sip. With everything they had talked about, Cybe was glad that he was accepted by the sun goddess. He hoped that he could possibly start a life away from the war, mainly helping in the background where he could be at peace. All he really wanted was a nice, quiet, normal life.
Project Goliath
Celestia walked down the hallways of the castle with Cybe and Flash by her sides, earning a few confused looks from the castle staff and guards. Cybe felt uncomfortable with the dirty looks the guards and maids were giving him, but was reassured by Celestia wrapping a wing around him.
"So Cybe, if you don't plan on fighting in the war, what are you planning to do?" She asked with curiosity.
Cybe scratched his chin with his metal claw. "I was thinking of maybe living near or in Ponyville. I've grown to like the area around the town." Celestia smiled and nodded.
"I will make preparations for you to be accepted as an Equestrian citizen, and I will reassure the ponies in the town that you mean them no harm."
"Thank you Celestia." Cybe reached up and scratched Celestias ear.
"Oh..." Celestia smiled and leaned into his touch, causing Flash to laugh. They reached the door of the dining hall. Celestia gave a nod to Flash, signalling him to enter first. The young private nodded and opened the door just enough for him to walk through without revealing Cybe. Next Celestia walked in. "Hello everypony, sorry I took so long."
"That's ok Princess, you were meeting with an important visitor." Replied Twilight as she began eating another set of pancakes.
"That I was Twilight, speaking of which, we have a guest joining us for lunch." Cybe took that as his que and walked into the room. Fluttershy smiled at him and waved, Twilight took the chance to look him over, Cadence's wings ruffled a bit as she struggled not to give him a death glare and Shining Armour just gave him a neutral stare.
Meanwhile in Dressia
A group of human scientists stood behind an energy field in a huge room only lit by weak ceiling lights. A large figure sat in the darkness, it's Joan's glowing red eye flickering on and off. On the wall of the large room a screen appeared with the words 'Prototype Cyborg Activated.'
The large figure shakily got to its feet, only to place its lagre and long metal arms on the ground for support. One of the scientists in the field cowered slightly.
"How is that thing so huge?" He asked in a terrified voice.
One of the older scientists looked to him. "You're new to this experiment correct?" The young man nodded. "This cyborg was the first ever result of the cloning process. It's body was deformed and grew to an unnaturally large size. Seeing greater use for it our leaders ordered that we try and transform it into a superweapon, code named 'Project Goliath', we've been trying to get the coding right for months, but the only codes that have worked so far give it free will."
Soon the large cyborg started to twitch uncontrollably until it eventually shut down and slumped back into a siting position. The eldest scientist sighed and shook his head.
"Clearly further experimentation is required. If only we had a cyborg that somehow had a reprogrammed core." Just then a lone cyborg walked into the room. It had jet black hair and anything that was supposed to be red was also black. Upon further inspection it also hand an eyepatch and a hole in its jacket. It was the cyborg that had been accidentally hit by a blast when Cybe had escaped. The cyborg looked to the large prototype and walked towards it.
It walked around to a console on the large machines arm and began to transfer his own data into it. The scientists watched as the giant rose in the same way as before, but remained functioning. The black cyborg jumped up on the giant's shoulder and placed a hand on the side of it's face. The cyborg pointed to the scientists and motioned for them to be crushed. The large robot lifted its giant metal fist and slammed it against the energy field, causing the scientists to back away.
The lone cyborg just glared down at the humans with its only functioning eye. A metal mask covered the lowere half its face. It aimed its laser cannon at the energy field and fired, causing the shield to fall. The scientists looked in horror as the large metal fist rose on the air and descended upon them, ending their lives.
Equestria, the next day
Cybe sat in the forest he had made his home. Celestia was currently informing the population of Ponyville about his arrival, although keeping the crowd under control was proving difficult as a number of mothers had lost their sons or daughters to the cyborgs in the war.
He sat with his back against a tree as he held a small daisy in his claw, staring as a little bumble bee buzzed around until it landed on the tiny flower. He heard tiny hoofsteps coming from nearby. Getting up he moved a set of leaves out of the way to see a tiny grey unicorn filly with a messy blond mane. She looked around with great interest, taking in the wildlife. Thinking he would scare the tiny pony Cybe moved back yo his spot and left the foal to wander.
He closed his eyes and tried to take a quick nap when he heard the hoofsteps stop. He opened one eye to see the filly had found him, looking at him with curiosity. He smiled and patted a spot next to him. She smiled and sat down beside him.
"Hello little one."
"Hello mister." She looked to his claw and batted it with her hoof. "What are you?" She asked with a great deal of curiosity.
"Well, I'm what's known as a cyborg. My name is Cybe, what's your name?" He asked with a gentle soothing voice.
"I'm Dinky Hooves, nice to meet you Cube." Cybe chuckled at her mistake.
"It's Cybe."
"Oh, sorry, I mix some words up sometimes." He just ruffled her mane.
"You can call me Cube if you want, it's alright with me." She smiled and wrapped all her legs around his robotic arm and he brought her to eye level.
"I'm bored, can you tell me a story?" She asked with big puppy-dog eyes.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt. I only know one story though, it's about the first pony I ever met." Dinky moved down to his lap, hugging his metal arm in her forelegs. "This is the story, of Glowing Heart."
Death of Glowing Heart
Cybe reached the shores of Equestria and deactivated his aquatic upgrade. Looking further down the beach a few miles away he saw a battle between cyborgs and Ponies taking place. "I should stay away from there, don't want to get hit in the crossfire."
"Halt!" Cybe looked over to see a tall thin unicorn stallion with a cloudy white coat and a long straight black mane. He wore silver armour and held a sword in his magic. The stallion looked over Cybe and slightly lowered his weapon. "You seem...different, from the others."
Cybe smiled softly and turned his body to face the unicorn. "I know, I was a little confused myself when I realised." The stallion was surprised by the cyborg's voice, it wasn't monotone or devoid of emotion. "My name is Cybe Catcher, what's yours?" He asked politely.
The unicorn sheathed his sword and looked curiously at Cybe. "You aren't going to attack me?"
"Of course not, I have no reason to fight you, much less kill you."
The stallion gave a sigh of relief. "Oh thank Faust, I couldn't bare to take another life on this battlefield." He looked up to Cybe with a smile. "My name is Glowing Heart, pleasure to meet you Cybe Catcher." He held out his hoof and Cybe took it in his claw.
"With a name like that, I assume you aren't a big fan of war then?"
Glowing frowned and looked to his sword. "You'd be right. My talent is helping other ponies to find someone to love, not to take lives."
"I know the feeling. I'm a killing machine that doesn't want to kill, how am I supposed to live like this?" Both looked to the ground.
"Well then it appears we have something in common. Come, I have a small camp set up where we can rest." Cybe nodded and followed Glowing to a small secluded area in a cave that was concealed by large leaves and vines.
"Won't your squad or leaders notice that you're gone?" Cybe asked as he took a sip of tea that Glowing had made for them.
"No, the commanders wanted me as far away from the front lines as possible, so they set my camp up here by order of Princess Cadence."
"Why would the Princess want you to stay away from the front lines?" Cybe asked with curiosity.
"Well, I know you're friendly from a little scan I did so I can trust you. The Princess is my sister." Glowing responded with a smile.
Cybe listened to Glowing talk about his life and what adventures he has had while exploring the uncharted areas of Equestria. Cybe then told him about his escape from Dressia and about the creatures he encountered on the sea floor. Soon Glowing began to yawn.
"We should get some sleep, I have to return to base tomorrow and you're planning on venturing inland correct?" Glowing asked while slipping into a sleeping bag.
"Yes, when I escaped a message in my systems said I could find a place in this land, maybe even make some friends. Who knows, I might run into your sister." They both chuckled and Cybe lay his back against the cave wall. "Goodnight Glowing."
"Goodnight Cybe." Glowing closed his eyes and quickly falling asleep. As Cybe slowly closed his eyes he watched the campfire slowly fade before everything went black and he fell into sleep mode.
The next day Cybe opened his eyes and stretched his organic parts before looking to Glowing. He walked over and gently shook him. "Glowing, come on. Time to get up, we have a big day ahead of us." Glowing stirred before opening his eyes.
"So it wasn't a dream then." He sat up and stretched himself like a cat. "Well then, let me have some breakfast then we'll go." Cybe nodded.
"I'll go make sure the area is clear." He got up and pushed a couple of vines and leaves out of the way to exit the cave. After ten minutes of walking around the area Cybe returned to find Glowing Heart had packed everything away. "Ready to go?" Glowing nodded and the exited the cave and began walking in the direction of the Equestrian Military Outpost. When they were halfway there they came to a crossroad. Glowing stopped and turned to Cybe.
"It was a pleasure to meet you Cybe, and I wish you luck on your journey." Glowing extended his hoof and Cybe took it in his claw.
"Likewise Glowing Heart." As Cybe began walking down one of the paths he heard a blaster shot. He immediately turned around and sprinted down to the path Glowing had taken. Once he spotted Glowing his eyes widened. He was laying on the ground with a burn on his chest while a cyborg walked over to him to finish the job.
Cybe held out his claw and shot his slingshot into the cyborgs chest, destroying the drone. He then rushed to Glowings side and inspected the wound, it was fatal, the blaster fire had burned his heart.
"C-Cybe...I need...you...to do...something...for me." Glowing shakily said.
"I'm here, tell me what you need." Cybe held Glowing in his arms as he looked to his friend in sorrow.
"Take...this to...my sister...tell her...I love her." He shaking put a piece of paper into Cybes claw.
"I will Glowing Heart, I promise."
"You're a good...person Cybe...please...make a place...for yourself here...don't let...anyone...tell you that...you're a mindless...machine." Glowing gave a small smile before breathing his final breath, dying in Cybes arms. Cybe reached his hand to Glowings face and closed his eyes.
"I will Glowing, you can count on me." Cybe began walking down the road towards the outpost. Once he was close enough he lay Glowings body down just outside of the perimeter of the base. A lookout spotted the body and Cybe used his cloak to sneak away. He returned to the crossroads and continued walking down his path. "Rest in peace my friend."
Dinky just looked to Cybe with a sympathetic look. "That was a nice story, it was a sad one but it was nice." Cybe ruffled her mane and got to his feet.
"Come on, your parents are probably worried about you." Dinky smiled and began leading Cybe out of the forest. While he was walking Cybe took the piece of paper that Glowing Heart had given him and stated at it. 'I wasn't able to give it to Cadence earlier, I should be able to now. I will fulfil my promise to you Glowing.'
Gift to you
Cybe walked out of the forest with Dinky leading him towards Ponyville. As they entered town Cybe received some hostile glares, but that was to be expected. As long as they didn't form a mob or start attacking him he could handle the negativity. Once Dinky spotted her mother she said goodbye to the cyborg and he gave a gentle wave as she scampered off. Looking up at the beautiful day sky he took in a breath of the fresh clean air that this land was blessed with, as Dressias air was filled with pollution.
He walked around until he came to the Golden Oaks Library. He knocked the door and Twilight opened it. "Oh, hello Cybe. What can I do for you? Is anypony giving you any trouble?"
"Hello Twilight. There is no trouble with the ponies, just a few glares. I was actually looking for Princess Cadence." She nodded and motioned him in.
"So, what business do you have with my family old foal-sitter?"
"I have something I need to give her, it's from her brother." Twilight stopped dead in her tracks and turned to him.
"What?"
"I have a message that her brother asked me to give to her. I didn't get a chance the other day because of the whole chase and everything, so I'd like to deliver it now if she's still in town." Twilight just looked at him with shock.
"She's still in town, she's at Sugarcube Corner with Princess Celestia." Cybe nodded and walked to he door.
"Thank you Twilight. I will be over later to discuss what you are planning to do with that C-Unit." With that he walked out the door.
Celestia and Cadence sat in a window booth in Sugarcube corner while eating slices of chocolate cake. Cadence had been staring out the window ever since they had gotten there with a blank expression. "Cadence, what's the matter?"
Cadence sighed and looked to Celestia. "I'm sorry auntie, I'm just thinking about Glowing Heart. The letter that was supposed to be delivered if he was killed in the war hasn't shown up yet."
"I believe I can help with that your majesty." The two mares looked over to see Cybe standing there.
"How would you be able to help with this?" Asked Cadence. Cybe reached into his pocket and pulled out the folded piece of paper. He handed it to Cadence who slowly unfolded it. As she read she began to tear up, Cybe sat beside her and brought her into a hug as she began sobbing.
"How did you get this?" Celestia asked him as she read the note.
"I met Glowing Heart when I reached the shores of Equestria. We talked for a bit and quickly became friends. After resting for a night we began traveling towards his outpost that was few mile from his camp. We reached a crossroads and parted ways, me taking a path that led inland while he took the path to his military base. While I was walking I heard blaster fire. I rushed back to Glowing but it was too late, he had suffered a fatal wound. He gave me the note and asked me to deliver it to Princess Cadence and to try and have a normal life here in Equestria. After that I brought his body to the military base and went on my way." Celestia nodded at the explanation and sighed.
"I'm sorry that the first friend you ever had was killed Cybe." Cybe waved her off and began stroking Cadences mane with his claw.
"It's fine, he gave me more of a reason to try and fit into Equestrian society. Even if I get a few glares along the way."
"They'll get used to you eventually, that I can promise." Cybe nodded. "Oh! And we figured out your living arrangements." Cybe looked to Celestia expectedly. "You will be staying with Fluttershy, she one of the few ponies that applied for the position and you seem to already be on friendly terms." Cybe smiled.
"Thank you Princess."
"I should warn you about your...other roommate though..."
"You invited a cyborg to live with us?!" Discord yell d as he read the contract. "What in the world has gotten into you Fluttershy?!"
"Discord, Cybe is friendly. I've already told you about how he saved me from those mean cyborgs. And when you didn't believe me you view the past and witnessed it yourself." Fluttershy flew up to the spirit of chaos who was sitting upside down on the roof.
"I know Flutters but I never thought you'd have a killing machine move in with us!"
"Discord! How dare you!"
"What? It's the truth. He knows it himself. He is literally built for war Fluttershy, I'm just trying to protect you." Discord wrapped his claw around the mare and pulled her in. "You're like a frail butterfly, you can't defend yourself so others have to protect you." Fluttershy pushed Discord away and looked him in the eye.
"Ok then, I didn't want to have to bring this up but...you're acting just like my friends when you were trying to reform." Discord just narrowed his eyes.
"What are you implying?"
"Don't you remember how bad all those horrible comments about you were made? How nopony trusted you? If you keep making those kind of comments to Cybe then he'll feel the same way." Discord shrank down...literally. "Now you are going to act nice to him and not threaten him in any way, are we clear?" She asked in an authoritative tone.
"Yes ma'am." Discord gave her a small salute.
"Good. Now when he gets here you are to make him a guest room, I'm going to get dinner ready." Discord watched as Fluttershy flew down to the floor and trotted into the kitchen.
"It's official...I'm whipped."
Beautiful Nature
Twilight sat in her lab in the basement of the library, inspecting the broken C-Unit that Shining Armour had delivered to her. She rapidly ran around it, taking in as much detail as possible, a smile on her face. "This is amazing! I can finally figure out how the C-Units operate!" She came to a screeching halt as she looked from the hole in the robots chest and to the still functioning power core on the table next to it. She gasped and began collecting various tools. "If I can get the coding program from Cybe I should be able to repair this unit and have my very own robotic assistant!" She clapped her hooves in joy. "Thank you Cybe Catcher!"
Spike rolled his eyes from the living room and began reading a Power Ponies comic. "I swear she's getting worse by the day."
Cybe walked down the dirt path leading to his new home, listening to the wind softly blow through the leaves above him, rays of sunlight piercing through the layer of green. He took in a breath of the clean air and sighed happily. "So peaceful." Looking around he took in the beauty of nature, watching as a few butterflies flew amongst the daisies. He spott d the end of the path ahead and slightly quickened his pace.
Upon exiting the forest he had been walking through he stopped and stared in awe at the sight of the cottage. The small bridge that lead across a small river with a few ferrets and other animals sitting by the stream. Multiple breeds if birds flew to and from the leaves on the tree house, singing their own tunes as they flew. A few nice peeked their heads out of a mouse hole near the wooden door of the cottage, their noses twitching as they searched for any nearby food. A bear lay down on the grass under the shade of the treeline, resting in a peaceful slumber.
As he neared the door to the cottage he heard singing coming from the back of the building. Curious he walked to the back and saw Fluttershy singing to herself as she played with her animals. Cybe stood there in shock, enchanted by her voice. He rested his metal claw against the cottage and listened to the mare singing without a care in the world. As she floated gently off the ground Cybe noticed how the sunlight made her coat and mane shine, also making her eyes sparkle like stars. He just stood there, frozen and unable to move as he watched the enchanting pony before him.
As the song ended Fluttershy noticed Cybe and blushed furiously. She expected laughing but heard none. Looking back at him from behind her mane she saw his shocked expression.
"That was... incredible Fluttershy." Cybe managed to get out, walking towards her.
"R-Really?" Cybe kneeled down in front of her.
"Yes. Fluttershy, your voice is beautiful." Her blush only spread and she gave a soft smile.
"You... You really think so?" Cybe placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Of course, someone would have to have a mental condition to say otherwise." Fluttershy smiled and hugged the surprised cyborg.
"Thank you." She whispered. Cybe patted her back and they separated.
"Cybe Catcher, I presume?" Cybe turned to see Discord looking down at him with a neutral glare.
"You'd be correct, and you must be Discord." Cybe extended a claw which Discord took.
"Yes, I am Discord, spirit of chaos and disharmony." Celestia had warned him about Discord, so he knew what to expect. "Fluttershy, I believe Angel was looking for you."
Fluttershy nodded and gently flew around the corner. As soon as she was out of earshot Discord glared at Cybe.
"Listen here cyborg, Fluttershy may like you but I don't trust you for a second. I know what your kind has done and what you are capable of. If you so much as hurt one hair on her head I will rip you apart without a second thought. Are we clear?" Both stared each other down.
"Discord!" Fluttershy flew between them. "There is no call for that. Cybe isn't going to hurt me or you, so you don't need to threaten him! We talked about this not thirty minutes ago!" Scolded Fluttershy as she gave Discord the stare. Cybe placed a hand on her back and she looked back at him.
"It's alright Fluttershy, if I was in his shoes I wouldn't trust me either. I was actually expecting a much harsher threat, I'm glad my expectations were not met." Cybe turned to Discord. "I have no intention of harming this mare, only protect her. I don't want us constantly getting at each other while I'm staying here, truce?" Cybe held out his hand this time.
Discord sighed and placed his paw in Cybes hand. "Truce."
Fluttershy smiled at them and nodded in satisfaction. "Alright. I'll go make some tea. In the meantime, Discord will make you a room to stay in."
Cybe waved his claw. "I'm fine sleeping under a tree Fluttershy, I've grown to like sleeping out in the open." Fluttershy shook her head.
"Now none of that, you may be a cyborg but you still have your organic parts to look after. I don't want you catching your death from sleeping out in the open in a cold night. You're going to tell Discord what you want in your room and that is where you will sleep, and that's final." With that Fluttershy flew to the front of the house. Cybe just stood there with a look mixed with confusion and shock.
"Did... Did I just get whipped?" Discord patted his shoulder.
"Welcome to my world buddy."
Breaking point
The rest of the mane six were walking towards Fluttershy's cottage, Rainbow Dash and Applejack feeling worried about their friend.
"Girls, I've already told you Cybe can be trusted." Twilight stated as she looked to the two mares.
"And ah trust yer words Twilight, ah just wanna see if Fluttershy is comfortable with him in her home." The farm pony replied while tilting her seston to block the sun from reaching her eyes as they entered a clearing.
"I don't trust him for a second, not until he promises not to hurt Fluttershy." Rainbow said as she punched her hooves together. Twilight rolled her eyes at the Pegasus and turned to Rarity and Pinkie Pie.
"Then why do you two want to come?"
Rarity smiled. "Darling, I'd never miss a chance to gather information on foreign fashion."
"I'm not sure he knows anything about Dressian fashion Rarity, he was created for combat not looking at dresses." Rarity ignored her and began thinking about what type of clothing humans wore. "What about you Pinkie?"
"Well I need to meet somepony before I throw them a 'Welcome to Ponyville' party so I can ask them if they're lactose intolerant, have heart disease, are preg-" Pinkie continued to ramble on about her rules when throwing a party, the group was suprised by how many she had in place.
As the group reached the hidden cottage they found Fluttershy feeding her animals with Discord helping her, while Cybe was over by a nearby lake with a fishing pole, catching fish for a few of the meat eaters and himself. The group then noticed an expansion on the cottage, an overgrown root of the tree had been expanded and hollowed out making a small room inside for the cybernetic house guest.
"Hey there Fluttershy and Discord." Twilight waved over to the two by the cottage. Both noticed them and smiled, when Fluttershy got up Discord disappeared. Once Fluttershy reached the group he reappeared by her side.
"Oh, hello everypony, how lovely of you to visit." The timid mare noticed Applejack and Rainbow Dash's expressions and her smile faltered. "You're here about Cybe aren't you?"
Applejack sighed and nodded. "Sorry sugarcube, we just gotta make sure ya don't get hurt." Rainbow nodded in agreement and looked towards the cyborg, who was now sitting upright as he expected confrontation after hearing his name.
Fluttershy groaned and rubbed her temples. "I've told everypony that has come here today looking for him, he is not dangerous, he is not going to hurt me, he isn't going to betray use and he is NOT a monster!" Everyone was taken back by the sudden outburst. "I am tired of ponies coming here and demanding to see Cybe so they can 'confirm he isn't dangerous.' All of you are comparing him to mindless machines that are built by bad people in Dressia, you know what that is? That's racism! You're being racist towards Cybe, who has done nothing but be respectful to me, to others and to my animals since arriving here. He saved my life, that should be evidence enough for all of you to realise that he isn't bad!"
Fluttershy was about to continue her rant when Cybe walked over and placed his claw on her shoulder. She looked up to him and he looked back with worried eyes. "Fluttershy, while I appreciate you defending me and sticking up for me you need to calm down." Cybe turned to Discord. "Take her inside to calm down, I'll deal with this."
Discord nodded and carried the angry mare into the cottage. "Well... that was unlike her." Twilight said as she shook herself. "What caused her to act like that?"
"Fluttershy may have incredible patience, but everyone has a breaking point and she reached that earlier. Ponies have been showing up to make sure I'm not going to hurt them or Fluttershy, every time she had to explain it and keep a few angry mothers from charging me." He sighed and looked to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. "Now I'm going to get this over with quickly." He put a hand to his chest and put up his claw. "I swear on my life I shall not harm Fluttershy or anypony else unless I am required due to a situation."
The mares all looked at him wide eyed.
"There, no if you'll excuse me, I have some fishing to do. Thank you for visiting and have a good day." With that he tuned around and walked back to his fishing spot and grabbed the pole. The mares all looked to each other in shock before slowly turning around and heading back to Ponyville.
As they left earshot Discord appeared beside Cybe. "Did they buy it?"
"Oh they bought it alright." They high fived and Discord sat down.
"So, what should we do now while this is happening?" Discord asked.
"Probably just make sure ponies stay away from here for a days. You do grocery runs and I'll take care of the animals, we take turns delivering meals to Fluttershy." Discord nodded at the conditions and looked out at the water. "Of all the times I had to move in it had to be when Fluttershy was going into heat."
Meanwhile in Dressia, the other rogue cyborg was making his way to the factory's control room. As he walked two cyborgs aimed their blasters and ordered him to stand down. He ignored them and walked on. The two opened fire and the rogue dodged, turning back shoved his claw into one of their chests and threw the corpse onto the other.
He punched the control rooms door down and killed the humans inside. Walking over to the main computer he began to change all of the currently constructed cyborg's coding, making them loyal to him and the prototype. When a surviving scientist tried to crawl out of the room the rogue turned around and blasted him. "P-Pathet-et-etic."
What are friends for?
Cybe and Discord sat in the living room of the cottage playing a game of chess with the animals watching them. The two of them were waiting for when Fluttershy was in need of them, she was currently locked in her room and only Cybe had the key, the windows were also barred up by Discord. After talking to Discord Cybe discovered that this would be one of her more intense heats due to the stress of the war and trying to keep the ponies away from him. So the two took steps to make sure she didn't do anything she'd regret or hurt anyone.
Discord was having trouble, due to Cybes cybernetic brain he was able to calculate any possible move that Discord could make. When he tried to use his chaos magic to do something unpredictable or tried to cheat Cybe would work around it or move a teleported piece back to its rightful place. "I'll admit it Cybe, you're a worthy foe."
"Same goes for you Discord, your unpredictability does put a bit of a strain on my systems." As Cybe moved one of his pawns they both heard Fluttershy frantically running around her room. "Seems like she's getting restless."
"Do you think we should put a sedative in her dinner or something, or make her sleep through the heat?"
Cybe shook his head. "No we don't know what that will do to her in this state, we will continue what we are doing and try to calm her down."
Discord nodded and moved his knight. "Who's turn is it to deliver her some food?"
"Mine, I'll start cooking after this game is over." The two remained silent as they continued playing. "Checkmate."
Discord sighed and slumped back in his seat. "Damn, you're really good at this."
Cybe shrugged and walked into the kitchen. Reaching up to a shelf he began selecting various vegetables. "Angel?" On que the white rabbit hopped up to the counter and looked at Cybe. "Do you know what vegetables Fluttershy likes the most?" The rabbit nodded and pointed to a few of the selected items. "Thank you Angel." Cybe reached up and took a carrot, giving it to Angel as a reward.
After preparing a small salad for Fluttershy he walked up the stairs and to her bedroom door, pulling the key out of his pocket he quietly unlocked the door and slowly opened the door. Looking in he saw Fluttershy looking out of the window with a soft blush on her face.
"Here's your dinner Fluttershy, how are you feeling?"
Fluttershy immediately turned around and looked to the ground. "Oh... I'm doing... Better, thank you. Just leave the food on the floor please."
"Ok Fluttershy, I'll leave it here. I'm heading to town to see Twilight, she requested my assistance with something so if you need anything Discord is downstairs." As Cybe left the room Fluttershy returned to looking out the window. A few minutes later she spotted Cybe exiting the cottage. He stopped as he reached the bridge and looked up to her, giving a small wave and disappearing into the treeline towards Ponyville.
Twilight sat in her basement with Spike, tinkering with the C-Unit that Shining Armour had given to her, starting with altering a few things in his systems and giving it a paint job, replacing the red with blue. She walked over to a desk where its separated power core lay. She had finished repairing the hole in the units chest and put a hatch on where she could place the core back in and put to her preference. Looking over a few stolen documents sent to he by Celestia and a few cyborg parts she looked over to the unit and hummed in interest.
Walking back over to the table she began looking over its arm, with multiple weapon slots in the forearm and noticing that the hand was on a hatch. Opening the hatch she found what appeared to be the barrels of a gatling gun. Frowning Twilight closed the hatch and began writing a letter to Celestia informing her of her latest discovery and telling her to warn the troops on the front lines. She wrapped the paper into a scroll and gave it to Soike to send.
As she was about to go back to inspecting the C-Unit she heard a knock on her front door. "Twilight? It's me Cybe."
Smiling Twilight teleported to the front door and opened it for her visitor. "Hello there Cybe, I'm glad you could come over."
Cybe smiled. "Well you said you needed my help with something, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you?"
Twilight smiled at this and motioned for him to enter. "Well it's good to know I can trust you if I need something. Now, let's get down to business shall we?" She closed the door and walked towards the basement door with the cyborg following her. As they reached the basement floor Cybe spotted the C-Unit laying on the examination table and raised a brow.
"Isn't that one of the units from a few days ago?"
Twilight nodded. "Yes, my brother gave it to me for examination and I've been working on turning it into something I can use, that Equestria can use. That's where you come in." Twilight walked over to the unit and lifted its head with her magic revealing a small port in the back of the head. "Your programming is different, it gave you your human side back and even added a few things, I was hoping you could share your data and coding into this unit for me." Twilight looked to the unsure cyborg.
"I don't know Twilight, that could be dangerous and there's the risk that my very consciousness will be transferred."
"That's why I won't place the power core inside unless you are successful, and if your consciousness is placed in it you can just download yourself back into your body again. Please Cybe, I need you to do this for me." Twilight pleaded with huge puppy dog eyes so cute tart it almost caused Cybes systems to glitch.
"Ok ok, just don't look at me like that!"
Twilight smiled triumphantly and moved aside, giving Cybe access to the droid. He reached to the back of his neck and pulled out a cable connecting from his head and inserted it into the port. His eyes closed and he began sharing his code into the robot.
