Chapter 2: Living Arrangements

(Throne Room)

After the wedding and getting everything under control after Queen Chrysalis’s attempt to take over Canterlot. Shalltear and the elements of harmony were ordered to meet Celestia and Luna in the throne room to discuss the living arrangements for the young countess. Granted Shalltear would’ve left and used the abandoned castle in the everfree forest, but a certain moon princess convinced her to stay and listen to Celestia’s offer.

“After talking it over with my sister…...I have decided to…..let you stay in Ponyville.” Celestia said, still a bit angry about her forced decision. “But during your stay in Ponyville you will be watched over by Twilight and her friends to make sure you’re not up to anything evil.”

“Yeah because I’m sure I’ll do something evil while in this magical world of sunshine & rainbows.” Shalltear said sarcastically.

“.......If it wasn’t for the fact that my sister has an interest in you, I would’ve left you to be homeless.”

“Like that’s gonna stop me from finding a home.”

“Can I finish what I was about to say?”

“I don’t know, can you?” Shalltear said as she and Celestia glared at each other for a while, that is until a certain rainbow mane pegasus broke the awkward tension by saying something.

“Can you two please stop fighting with each other? You two haven’t stop arguing with each other since the party, and it’s start to get annoying.” said Rainbow Dash as her friends agreed with her.

“......Fine.” Both Shaltear and Celestia said in agreement.

“As I was saying, Luna was able to provide you Shalltear with a suitable house to your liking. The house is debt free and will be covered so you won’t need to worry about paying any bills. But you will have to help out around Ponyville whenever somepony is in trouble, or in need of assistance in any daily work they do.”

“Is that it?”

“Yes that is all.”

“Well this was a waste of my time.” said Shalltear as she started to make her way to her coffin.

“You’re sleeping in your coffin?” Luna asked in surprise.

“Well it’s not like your sister is going to provide me with a bed to sleep in.”

“That’s true.” Celestia said bluntly which caused Luna to give her an annoyed look. Luna teleported in front of the vampire with a motherly smile on her face.

“Nonsense my friend.” said Luna as she pulled the countess in for a huge. “We will provide you with a bed to sleep in.”

“T-That’s not really necessary Princess Luna. I’m fine with just sleeping in a coffin, it’s kinda comfortable once you’re used to it.” Luna snapped her fingers as two bat pony maids came in.

“Nightshade, Stardust. Please provide my friend here with a room and anything she wants.”

“At once Princess Luna.” said the maids as they left the room.

“Really you don’t need to do this.” said Shalltear trying to pull herself away from Luna’s huge.

“Don’t worry about it’s what friends do.”

“W-We’re friends?”

“Of course we are. Now come, we have much to talk about.” Luna said as she held Shalltear by the hand and began to walk out of the throne room. Moments later after they have left the throne and talking with each other, the two made their way to the now prepare guest room. To Shalltear’s surprise the room almost resembled that of an old renaissance style room from the history book she read back home during school. The only difference is that the room had a mix of old and modern lifestyle of living.

“Wow, very old style renaissance with a mix of modern style living. I have to say it looks nice.”

“We knew you would like it.” Luna said as she lead Shalltear into the room. “This will be your room for tonight until tomorrow when you leave for Ponyville. If you need one of the maids to get get you something, just ring the bell next to the bed and one of them will assist you in whatever it is you need.”

“I’ll do that if I need to.” Shalltear said as she jumped onto the fluffy bed. “Till then I would like to be alone please, if you don’t mind Princess Luna?”

“As you wish, I will see you in the morning before you leave.” Having saying that Luna’s horn start to glow as she teleported out of the room as requested from the vampire.

(Nighttime)

“G-Get away from me.” said Shalltear as she was slowly walking back from a dark figure in the shape of an adult colt unicorn.

“Come here little filly, I just wanna play a little game with you.” said the dark figure as he grabbed Shalltear by the arm. “It’ll just be fun, trust me.”

“I said let get off me you creep, I’m not interested in whatever it is you wanna do.” Shalltear pulled away from the Stallion’s grip as she tried to reach for the door, only for the unicorn’s horn to start glowing and lock the door.

“Oh dear, looks like we’re gonna be here for a while.” said the figure as he slowly walked towards the vampire with a lustful grin on his face. “I wonder what we can do to pass the time?”

“I-I warning, if you so much as to lay a hand on me I’ll-” Before Shalltear could say anything, she felt something wrap around her throat.

“You won’t be doing anything while I’m around creature.” The unicorn pulled Shalltear close to him as he forced her onto the floor. “Not unless you want me tell Celestia that you went on a killing spree across town?”

“That’s a lie! I would never do something like that!”

“Really, you didn’t? Because these pictures of you attacking the citizens of Canterlot begs to differ.” The unicorn levitated the false pictures of Shalltear attacking innocent ponies and drinking their blood. “Now if I have read the law of Equestria correctly, but wouldn’t these kind actions get you sent to jail or turned to stone like Discord right?” Shalltear said nothing, but simply nodded to the unicorn’s question. “And who do you think Celestia would listen to? Me one of the most trustworthy member of Equestria’s government, or you a creature who just came out of nowhere who; if I’m not mistaken is feared or shunned by everypony in Canterlot?” Once again she said nothing as tears began to run down her face at the sudden facts given to her.

“Thought so, now here’s the deal.” The unicorn said as he pulled the vampire up by her hair. “I won’t show Celestia the false pictures of you killing, if you can pleasure me.”

“I’m not going to-!” Shalltear couldn’t finish her refusal as she felt a hard slap to the face.

“Let me remind you something. You don’t get a choice in the matter, freak.” He said as he started to take his pants off. “You have no friends, nor do you have any family members that are in Equestria.” With his pants finally off, the unicorn pointed Shalltear to the direction of his member. “Now get on your knees and suck it, whore.”

“NO!” Shalltear woke up to find herself laying on her bed covered in sweat and shaking from the nightmare of what happen to her years ago. “D-Dammit!” The vampire said as she grab a pillow next to her for comfort as she began to cry a little. “Even after I kill him, I’m still having nightmares of what happen. Why can’t I have a peaceful night of sleep for once?” Shalltear was lost in her thoughts for a moment until she heard a knock her door. The vampire pulled herself from under the covers of her bed as she made her way towards the door. With a twist of a knob Shalltear open the door to find one of Luna’s maid standing in the doorway. “Can I help you Nightshade?”

“I was hearing a lot of discomfort coming from your room. Is there something wrong? Do you need anything?”

“N-No, no I’m fine. I was just trying to get comfortable that’s all.”

“Are you sure? I could always get you something to drink if you want?”

“......Well…...could I have a glass of blood then?”

“At once Madam Bloodfallen.” said the maid as she left to get Shalltear’s request, moments later the bat pony return with a glass of blood on a silver plate. “Here you go, madam.”

“Thanks.” Shalltear took the glass and began gulping down the blood quickly than usual.

“If you’re having a nightmare, maybe Princess Luna can help or you could talk to me about?”

“No offense to you or anything, but I’m not ready to talk about….”

“Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to intrude or anything.”

“It’s fine really, if you don’t mind I would like to get some sleep please?”

“Of course madam, if you need anything just ring the bell and we’ll be here to help with anything you need.” said Nightshade as she once again flew off into the hallway.

Shalltear sighed as she hopped back into bed while hold a pillow for comfort. “Maybe I can finally sleep without having that dream again.” She said as she closed her eyes trying to get back to sleep again.

(Ponyville)

Morning has just arrived as Shalltear and the mane six said goodbyes to both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and made their way to Ponyville by taking the friendship express from Canterlot. Hours later and answering a few of Twilight and her friends questions, they’ve reached Ponyville. While Applejack and Rainbow Dash were busy taking care of Rarity’s belongings, Fluttershy walked next to Shalltear and lightly shook her to wake the vampire up from sleeping.

“Um, Shalltear?”

“Ugh….huh?”

“We’re in Ponyville now. I wanted to wake you up a little bit earlier, but it looked like you need some more sleep. Did something happen to you last night?”

“I just had a rough night sleeping, that’s all.” Shalltear said as she rubbed her eyes. “You don’t need to worry about it.”

“Are you sure you’ll be okay? I could get Twilight to see if she could help you with you bed troubles.”

“I said I’m fine Fluttershy,” Shalltear said with a bit of an annoyed tone in her voice. “But thanks for asking.” The countess pulled herself up from her seat as she made her way out side. As she made it outside Shalltear covered her eyes from the sudden brightness of sun. Seconds later her eyes started to adjust to her surroundings as she was taken by surprise at how really colorful Ponyville was. “So this is Ponyville? It’s kinda…….well colorful to say the least.”

“Just wait until tonight Shally!” said Pinkie Pie as she appeared from out of nowhere. “You get to meet everypony in town!”

“I get the feeling I don’t have that much of a choice do I?” asked Shalltear as she turned her attention towards Twilight.

“Well seeing how the party is going to be held at your place, you pretty much don’t have a choice in the matter.”

“Wait, what do you mean the party is being held at my house?”

“Celestia said that it was okay for Pinkie to throw her usual ‘Welcome to Ponyville’ party at your place. She said you wouldn’t mind it seeing how she wanted to show that she forgives you about what you did years ago.”

“Oh I can not wait to get my powers back to full strength.” Shalltear thought as Twilight saw an annoyed/angry look on her face.

“Are you okay? If you don’t want the party at your place we could have it at Sugarcube Corner?”

“No,no. We can have the party at my place, just let me get well adjusted with my home and Ponyville.”

“Then we might want to head over to town hall.”

“Why is that?”

“Because Mayor Mare would like to meet the new resident in Ponyville seeing how Princess Luna sent a letter to her about there being somepony moving in.”

Shalltear sighed while rolling her eyes at what Twilight said. “Fine let’s just get this over with before I change my mind and watch TV.”

“Wonderful! let’s head over to town hall and get you registered as a resident of Ponyville.” Twilight said as she grabbed the vampire by the hand, and ran off towards town hall.

(Town Hall)

“So…...this is the…..being that will be staying in Ponyville?” Mayor Mare asked trying to keep her composure.

“That is correct Mayor Mare.” said Twilight.

“Um…...not to be rude or anything, but what is...he...she….it?”

“First of all my name is Shalltear Bloodfallen,  I’m a girl or mare seeing how I’m in a land full of ponies, and I’m a vampire if Princess Luna didn’t tell you what I was in the letter she sent you.”

“Y-You’re a vampony!?” Mayor Mare said as she fell out of her chair and hid behind it. “Wait are you a vampony from that movie that’s named after Twilight?”

“Wait? There a pony version of that awful movie?”

“You have your own version of that awful movie?”

“Sad part about that is that we do have that.”

“So are you like them?”

“God no!” Shalltear said as she summon her lance into her hand. “Unlike them I have magic, and I don’t sparkle in sunlight.”

“Okay…...Twilight you sure Princess Luna wants her to stay here?”

“You don’t have to worry about her drinking or turning anypony into a vampony, right Shalltear?”

“I won’t drink anypony’s blood and I won’t turn anypony into vamponies unless they ask me to or if they’re on the verge of death.” said Shalltear which in turn made Twilight and Mayor Mare raise an eyebrow at her

“........Really?”

“What? Princess Luna said I can do that. I just need to go to her when I do to inform her about it.”

“Well as long as you’re not forming an army then I have no problem with you staying here. Just don’t cause any trouble while you’re here, Faust knows this town has been through enough problems as it stand and I prefer not to have anymore problems.”

“I’ll try, but I make no promises.”

“Good enough for me.” Mayor Mare said as she move from behind her seat and back behind her desk. “I’ll just need you to sign this and you’ll be set.” She said as she reached for the cabinet next to her desk and pulled out a sheet of paper.

“What is it?”

“Just standard paperwork, making it legal that you live here in Ponyville. Once you fill that out you will be given an Equestria license stating that you lived here, and you will be starting up school once you get yourself settle in into your new home.”

“Wait? What do you mean I have to go to school?”

“Well, in the letter that Princess Luna sent me, it said that even though you are almost the same age as her and Princess Celestia. You still have a mind of a 15 year old filly.”

“Hey that’s…….fuck you’re right. Not to mention that I have not that much memory about how Equestria is now.”

“So I take it you’re going to school here then?”

“Fine I’ll go to school, but don’t blame me if I get into a fight with somepony at your so called school.” The vampire grabbed a pen from off the mayor’s desk and beginning to sign her signature. “Ah shit… Have another one of those papers? I accidently signed it with my old name.”

“Your real name is Veronica?” Twilight asked as she looked over the countess’s shoulder.

“Just be glad it isn’t Victoria. Because I don’t have any secrets for any of you.” She mumbled, looking towards the door as another familiar face soon entered.

“There you two are, I been looking for you all over town.”

“Why hello there, Ms. Rarity.” Mayor Mare greeted the Unicorn warmly as she trotted into the room. “I’m glad you can be able to make it.”

“As much as I want to stay and chat with you Mayor Mare, but we have a bit of a problem and I need Twilight’s help.”

“Problem?” Shalltear asked, raising an eyebrow as she turned around. “What kind of problem do you mean?”

“Prince Blueblood wants to speak with Twilight for some reason, I don’t know why but something tell me it involves you for some reason.”

“Oh… Was he the one that was referred to as the “Royal Douchebag”? Or was that just me?” She asked, only leading to Rarity facepalming herself and groaning a little.

“I’m pretty sure everypony calls him that behind his back, anyway Twilight he wants to have a word with you involving Shalltear.”

“Why does everypony come to me whenever one of my friends did something to them by accident or something else?” Twilight asked as she walked out the room.

“Might as well see what’s all this about.” Shalltear said as she was about to head out the door only to be stopped by Rarity.

“Darling, before you go, I found this at my boutique and I thought that you should have it.” she said to her, handing a silver hairpin the looked like a pair of open stretched out wings. “I think it would work well with your mane.”

“Hm.” Shalltear looked at the hair pen for a while before placing it into her hair. “How does it look?” She asked showing off her slightly new look.

“Beautiful, darling! You look marvelous!!”

“Thanks.” Shalltear giggled from Rarity’s comment.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE’S YOUR SLAVE!?” yelled Twilight. Shalltear and Rarity turned their attention towards outside as they ran towards where the yelling came from. Standing outside in front of town hall was Twilight and Prince Blueblood who had an unamused look on his face.

“The correct term is servant for pleasure in my book, Ms. Sparkle.”

Shalltear though, was unimpressed. “Look, when I agreed to being on even terms with your kind, I did not ask to be the royal bitch of this creep.”

“I know that. This is unacceptable and outrageous, Blueblood. You’ve crossed a line this time.”

“My great ancestor, Atlas Star owned that freak before she killed him. And seeing how Celestia didn’t change the rules for the past 1,000 years from what I checked, this means that whatever Atlas had belongs to me. That includes the vampony.”

“Oh, so you’re the descendant of that Douchebag… Now I see the resemblance.” Shalltear replied before storming off. “I need to get some fresh air. This place stinks of him and his sins.”

“And where do you think you’re going servant?” Blueblood asked as he teleported in front of the countess. “I didn’t give you an order to go anywhere.”

“Fuck you and your orders. You don’t know what your ancestor did to me that made me hate my life here. And just when I thought that I could start anew, you show up.” Shalltear spat at the ground as she flipped her middle finger at the Prince. “When the Princesses hear what I have to say, they’ll never think of you the same way again.”

“Really now, who do you think they’ll believe? You the one that almost destroyed Equestria’s economy, or me their nephew that have help them throughout the years?”

“You… are nothing…” Shalltear snarled, running off before Blueblood could even say anything. She didn’t want to hear any of his bullshit. None of it. After what had happened all those years ago, she didn’t want to relive the events of that horrific night again. The night that still played on in her head as nightmares haunting her sleep.

“How can he treat somepony like that without even feeling bad?” Rarity asked with a concerned look on her face.

“If only we knew, Rarity… If only we knew…”

“Whatever, while you two do that I’ll be going after my belonging that used to belong to Atlas.” Blueblood’s horn started to glow as he teleport off after Shalltear.

“Rarity, go inform the girls about what happened.” Twilight said as she ran off towards the library. “I’ll send a letter to Princess Celestia, while you and the girls go find Shalltear before Blueblood does.”

“On it.”

(Nighttime)

[Shalltear’s Home]

After running through the streets of Ponyville and mostly hiding due to not wanting to be seen by Blueblood or any of his personal guards. Shalltear made it back to her home given to her by Princess Luna as a gift. With one final look outside, the countess locked all the doors, along with the windows and downstairs door as well just to be safe. Having making sure everything was secured, Shalltear let out of sigh of relief as she turned around and was about to relax. Only for Prince Blueblood to appear in front of her.

“Nice try servant, but you forgot about the tracker magic placed on you by Atlas years ago.”

“Fuck!”

“You said it, not me.” The unicorn now snapped his fingers, unbuttoning his shirt . Before Shalltear could say anything, her hands were forced to the back of her head by Blueblood’s magic. “Wouldn’t want you now struggling now, would I?”

“Bastard! The moment I get free, I’m going to enjoy killing you! Just like I did with Atlas!”

“Ahh ah ah. Not this time. You see, you’re just getting on even terms with my aunties. Which means that if you even think of murdering me, they think you’re going back to your old ways. Now, in here, no one can hear you scream.” The stallion soon got to work on his pants, but while this was going on, Shalltear felt something warm up her hands. Not Blueblood’s magic, but the hairpin on the back of her head. She thought she heard someone speak, but couldn’t focus as she tried to struggle.

“Whoever you are, Please… Help me.”

“Trying to pray? Well, times up-.”Just as the stallion’s pants dropped to the floor, a bright flash went off in the room, blinding Shalltear’s captive. The next thing she noticed was Blueblood hitting the back of the room and that surprisingly, a third person entered the room.

But it wasn’t a pony. This one looked… Human.

“Now, this is just too sick.” He said. Shalltear turned to see a human with blonde hair wearing a sleeveless hoodie and dark navy jeans with a pair of leather gloves. However, the one thing that she immediately noticed that at the end of his braid was a hairpin. The same one that she was wearing.

“W-Who are you?”

The human turned to Shalltear, freeing her from her restraints. But before he could say anything, Blueblood tried to attack him with a spell. However, much to Shalltear’s and the Stallion’s surprise, all the human did was take a gem and radiate some power into it before making Blueblood’s magic fade away like dust.

“W-what?!”

“Wrong decision.” His opponent snarled. Shalltear was shocked when his savior pulled out a weapon that appeared to be a pistol and shot Blueblood three times before surging electricity throughout the course of his body and sending the stallion flying out the window. Before he flew out the window though, the mysterious figure used a strange energy to bind Blueblood’s hands and hooves.

“Sorry about that.” The man apologized, offering a hand to Shalltear. “I’m guessing you were the one who summoned me?”

“Y-Yes I- Wait, what!?”

“My token. You used it to call out to me.” He replied, pointing at the hairpin. “Anyways, I’m Lance. But before we deal with anything else, we should make sure that your… attacker has been dealt with by the authorities.”

“Way ahead of you.” Shalltear summoned up a lance had of holy light that was aimed that Bluebloods head. Until Lance put a hand on her shoulder

“Not like that. Put it away, someone’s coming.”

“Tch…… fine, but don’t blame me if the fucker gets back up and attacks me again.”

“I would already have other ways of dealing with that. Plus, I highly doubt he’ll get of those restraints.”

“SHALLTEAR!!” The Vampire soon turned to find Princess Luna and the mane six running in her direction, shocked to find Prince Blueblood in his current state. “What in the name of the night happened!?”

“Long story short. Prince Blueblood tried to have his way with me, that is until Lance came out of nowhere and saved me before anything happened to me.”

“To be more explicit, Blueblood was going to rape her.” Lance interjected, causing some ponies to gasp in shock and horror. “If I had not intervened and restrained him when I did, I don’t know what would’ve happened.” He looked to see the stallion squirming on the floor and a tent being pitched in his midsection. “Oh for god’s sake, somepony get him out of here!!”

“Guards!” yelled Luna as two bat ponies suited in armor appeared. “Take Blueblood to the dungeon until we can have a word with him in the morning.”

“There won’t need to be a word with him.” Shalltear interjected, enraged. “His ancestor is Atlas Star, the same pony that I killed all those years ago. I killed him because he did what Blueblood tried to do and was actually successful at it. And all Celestia did was give him a slap on the wrist with a community service punishment.”

“......I will have a word with my sister about that, till then he will be in the dungeon until we find a suitable punishment for him.” Luna snapped her fingers ordering the bat ponies to take Blueblood away.

“Shalltear, are you okay?” Pinkie Pie asked as she began to hug the countess for comfort. “When we heard from Rarity about what happen we tried to make it here as soon as we can.”

“I-I’m fine Pinkie, just a little bit startled but I’m fine.”

“You sure sugarcube? Blueblood didn’t do anything else before we got here did he?” Applejack asked.

“If that jerk did do something then he’ll pay for what he did to the kid.” Rainbow said as she cracked her knuckles.

“L-Look can we please just forget about it? I…...I just wanna forget it and move on.” said the countess as her grip on Pinkie increased. “I just wanna forget.”

“Not to change the subject or anything, but who’s the colt the long ponytail?” Rainbow asked looking at the teen suspiciously. “Is he in league with Blueblood?”

“No, he’s the one that saved me from Blueblood.” Shalltear said as Luna turned her attention at Lance.

“You there, boy. Are you the one that saved Shalltear from my nephew?”

“Why yes, that would be me.” He nodded. “My name is Lance. Lance Walker. Nice to meet you… Hang on a second. Lumen? Are you okay in there?” Luna was about to ask who was this ‘Lumen’ that he was referring to, until a small butterfly like figure emerged from his jacket and nestled itself inside his hair.

“Next time Lance, warn me before you do that again.”

“What the-!?” Luna responded, backing up a little.

“Yeah. That’s my friend Lumen.”

“What is she if you don’t mind me asking? She kinda reminds me of that annoying fairy from the legend of zelda.” Shalltear muttered while eyeing the small breezie.

“She’s a breezie.” Lance told them. The response got Twilight to be curious and start looking inside her book on Equestrian Species to find it.

“What’s a breezie?” Rainbow asked before she was cut off by Twilight.

“Breezies are a race both rare and intelligent magical creatures native to Equestria.” said Twilight answering Shalltear’s question.

“Well, that’s one thing that reminds me of our Masked Matterhorn.” Lumen whispered. However, Twilight’s hearing was better than Lumen realized.

“I’m sorry but who’s this Masked Matterhorn?”

“...... Maybe we should explain about where we’re from first before we dive into specifics.”

“Yes, please. Because right now I’m getting a little bit annoyed about all that has happen to me over the years, and moments ago.” said Shalltear as she pulled herself off of Pinkie Pie.

“Well, first off, you need to understand the Multiverse to understand us-.”

“Here we go…”

“Lumen, please be patient.” Lance sighed.

“Can you make it short, sweet, and to the point?” The countess asked. “If you haven’t notice I would like to know how you got here, and to be left alone after this.”

“I didn’t just get here. You summoned me.” Lance replied. “You see, Lumen and I aren’t from this Equestria. There are multiple others in the universe, each one with other people like you and I who got Displaced as who we are. It is also the reason for my powers.”

“......You could’ve just said multiverse theory.”

“Right. Still though, you used my token to summon me when you needed it, so I’m going to do my best to try and help you.” He replied, sighing a little. “I know two other displaced that have been in the same situation as you and I think it would be very beneficial for you to meet them.”

“I don’t need help alright? All I need is to be alone for a few days, and I’ll be fine.”

“Yeah… Your words say one thing, but your tone means another.” Said Lance as he motions Shalltear to follow him. “How about we go on a walk… friend?”

“......Fine, but if you do anything or trying anything.” Shalltear summon a pack of wolves from her shadow. “Then my friends will have something to eat tonight.”

“Are you sure if they want to eat lightning?” Lance asked. “Plus, I just wanted the chance to get to know you a little better. I did save your life a few moments ago.”

“I’m just saying, because after the shit I went through today you can’t actually expect me to trust you that easily.”

“.....*Sigh* Fair enough I guess. Come, let us have a walk by the lake then seeing how you want to get to know me.” said the countess as she began to follow the Adept near the lake.

“I don’t mean it in a weird way. I just thought that you needed someone to talk to.” Lance replied. He noticed a huge boulder and blasted it with his Ki. After a few more blasts, the stone turned into a set of two throne like chairs for them to sit in. “Would you like a seat, Shalltear?”

“Sure I guess.” Shalltear took a seat while her pets simply laid down next to her. “So what do you want to talk about?”

“Well, I would say about my abilities, occupation and that. My family back home is not something I want to talk about though.” Lance then noticed the clothes she had and the Umbrella she carried. “You look quite elegant in those clothes. The Umbrella fits well with your outfit as well.”

“Thanks I guess, so mind telling about yourself before I tell you about myself?”

“Well, I’m an Adept. They’re humans with psychic abilites. Mine is my lightning. Besides that, I’ve been taught to control Ki by a friend of mine and I have another partner with me too, but that I can show later. Where I’m from, I’m basically a hero.”

“Is that all? I was expected something a little…..well interesting to say the least.”

“And when I mean hero, I mean Justice League. My world is filled with superheroes and Twilight and her friends are like their own Avengers.” Lance told her. “But I didn’t want to tell you everything because I didn’t want to be a showoff. The gun I used is only one of two that are linked with my powers as well as an energy blade… If Aurora was here though, she’ll surprise you. But enough about me for right now. What about you?”

“My name is Shalltear Bloodfallen. I’m a vampire that have lived for over 1,000 years, though I maybe old I still have a….somewhat stable mind of a 15 year old. Skills…..well I prefer not to show you.”

“If you think I can copy them or something, then you got me mistaken.” The Adept explained. “I only have my powers, combining them.”

“Still I don’t trust you so I won’t be showing you much.”

“Well, I saw you summon those wolves and a holy spear. I think that’s a plenty if you didn’t want to show me much.” He mentioned. “Plus-.” He then heard a beeping notice from his communicator and looked at it. “Excuse me.” With it, he pulled up the screen and a filly was seen on screen.

“Aurora? Why did you need to call me? Did something happen?” He asked the filly, who looked upset.

“Apple Bloom called me a wannabe hero!” Aurora whined.

“Ah didn’ mean it like that!” Apple Bloom’s voice was heard in the background.

“That was uncalled for!” Scootaloo was heard, “She just came back from the dead and you insult her?”

“Ah said Ah didn’ mean it like that! All ah said was ‘what kinda hero were ya’, and Aurora over reacted!”

“Okay, all three of you calm down.” Lance told them. “Aurora, you can come here if you need to take your mind off of things. Applebloom, please think what you’re going to say before doing so.” With that, he ended the call. “Sorry about that, Ms. Bloodfallen. Sometimes it’s hard to manage work, family and life.”

Aurora suddenly appeared, her wounds of the past looked extra fresh though. “Especially when they’re combined.”

“You have children?”

“Actually yes. First, there’s this little filly.” Lance pointed at Aurora. “Even if she is a partner for me in the field, I see her as a daughter. But also, I have children yes. Two foals, a Filly Rainbow Dash and then a colt named Lucky.” Lance then took the photograph he kept with him so Shalltear could see for herself.

“........I hate kids……” Shalltear said as she handed the photo back to Lance.

“I think I can speak on behalf of all kids, we dislike people who say that.” Aurora stated.

“Easy you two,” Lance tried to calm the tensions down. “Kids can be annoying and bothersome at times, but they learn and grow over time. Both Max and Seph realize that, Aurora. Can you try your best to show some respect to them?”

“Tch, I could care less if they hated me because I said it. I only show respect to who I see who doesn’t annoy me. And I still stand by what I said about kids.”

Aurora’s throat gushed with black liquid as her body flickered between red and blue, “Whatever…” She whispered.

“Does it look like I care about you opinion kid?”

“You okay, Aurora?” Lance asked. “You don’t look so good right now.”

“I’m fine…” She growled, “Never better…”

“Your old wounds are opening again.” Lance told her. “I think your emotions are affecting the healing process.”

“There isn’t a healing process for ghosts. I have to stay this way until I get a new body.” Aurora said.

“Yes, but your wounds look like they have been… reopened. How about you take some time to rest while I talk to Shalltear. Get your mind off of things. Watch a Movie.” Lance suggested to the filly.

“As you wish-” Aurora stopped herself and shook her head, “Okay.” She started fading into Lance’s communicator.

“Sorry about that. Aurora is a bit… determined to be right on certain subjects.” The Adept replied. “Where were we?”

“I lost track after that annoying kid interrupted us.” Shalltear said while rubbing her head in annoyance.

“Aurora has good intentions. Just ill timing. I think you were asking me about the kids Max, Seph and I are raising. I think you might have some things in common with both of them though.” He mentioned.

“Tread carefully about what you’re about to say next boy, because right now I don’t need anyone’s help and the sooner you leave the sooner I’ll take care of Atlas’s bloodline.”

“Murder won’t do you good. With Blueblood exposed though, they’ll start uncovering more of whatever he’s hiding if you let their investigation continue. You should find something to get those things off of your mind instead of on your mind. Trust me, they will pay for his crimes and more than just against you.”

“Stupid and naive, just like how I was when I was young. You think that’ll stop? Don’t make me laugh. In case you haven’t notice, ponies like Blueblood have connection with either other ponies or other being from different nations around the world. Even if that does happen that won’t stop his side of the family to continue in hunting me down for their own personal gain. The only way to make sure that this never happens again is to burn, kill, and slaughter the family bloodline until nothing is left.” A crimson aura slightly formed around the countess. “Then, only then will I know peace.”

“Well, I hope you succeed…” Aurora’s voice said without sarcasm, or humor, “Daddy taught me when to kill. Only when there’s no other choice.”

“Well, There are two things to keep in mind.” Lance replied. “If you looked at Blueblood’s face. He’s not angry anymore, but afraid. This time was the first time you fought back. They might bring others from around the world, but you can bring Displaced from other worlds to fight for you. The second thing is a proposal… Blueblood will be getting a huge sentence for sure. Rape is no small crime. But maybe, you can convince the Sisters to have you either kill him if he gets the death penalty… or make him your servant. Either will teach him the error of his ways in the long run and will also provide you with blood.”

“Mortal... Unlike you who still have his morals and values,” Shalltear appear in front of Lance. “I threw mine away when I imploded Atlas along with the rest of his friends or family that join in his little play time with me.”

“Then force Blueblood to see it from your perspective.” Lance retorted. “I’m trying my best to help you here Shalltear, because I see you as a friend. Only if we let go of the past can we move on with our lives.” Lance told her. “Besides, other ponies might be afraid of you, but I am not. I see you the same way I see my other friends, Max and Sephiroth. I see you as a friend in need.”

“ENOUGH!” The countess yelled as she summoned Spuit Lance into her hand. “You expect me to forget the hell I went through for the past 1,000 years? To forget how Altas star treated me and experimented on me?”

“I’m not asking you to forget what Atlas did. I’m telling you to put Blueblood through the same hell that you felt. Drive him insane, force him to confess not just his deeds, but the deeds of the entire family.” Lance then took a glove off of one of his arms and showed the bare skin. “You seem thirsty. Feel free to have a drink.”

“I don’t need you blood. What I want is for my revenge to be unleashed upon Blueblood and his family.”

“And the first step to do that is in your own room. You remember that his pants are still there. Which would mean that the keys to his home would be there too.” The Adept told her, “ Given that the rich bastard lives in a mansion, he must have a library or study room where they keep records of everything. You find enough evidence on more than just your situation, then not just one member, but all of his family will be exposed, caught and arrested.”

“Lance, stop. I don’t think she’s going to listen to you.” Aurora tried.

“Well, she needs to listen to someone. Shalltear had just got back on even ground with Celestia and Luna. If she kills Blueblood, she’ll be encased in stone again or worse.” Lance pointed out. “Plus, Blueblood is corrupt and did a very bad thing. He must be brought to justice.”

“I’m only on even terms with Princess Luna, that idiot of a sun princess will pretty much give that pig of a unicorn community service just like she did with Atlas all those years ago.”

This though, got Lance thinking. He remembered the orbs that Max could make to place her memories in and let others see them. Maybe this could work. “What if you had Celestia see your memories? I know they may be personal, but a witness account can serve as crucial evidence.”

“I had enough of this, if this is your attempt in trying to change my mind then it’s not going to work. I’m going to kill him and the rest for their ancestor’s sins against me, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

“Good luck.” Aurora mumbled, still no humor or sarcasm.

“... I can help. If Blueblood is in a dungeon… Why not cause a riot?” Lance suggested. “The commotion would cause him to try to find safety and that is when your opportunity will present itself. Rich folk like him would try to find a place to hide. Make that his downfall.”

“I don’t need help, I’m going to kill him and the rest with my own hands.” Shalltear began to walk off, only for Lance to reappear right in front of her.

“Just trust me. You may be over 1000 years old, but your mind is only fifteen. If you don’t think this through, you can end up killing yourself in the process. I even know a few people that hate Blueblood just as much as you do.”

“Lance, she isn’t going to listen at all.” Aurora groaned.

Lance sighed. “Well, isn’t this a tricky one… Guess, I’m going to have to get on an even playing field for me to help.”

“And what pray tell does that mean?”

“I can feel your power and I feel that… you’re not at your strongest. If so, you would use [Silence] to prevent him from not hearing you, [Mist Form] to disguise yourself, and [Implosion] to make him collapse inward on himself before making it look like an accident with [Wall of Stone].”

“How the hell do you know about that?”

“When you first introduced your name, I had my communicator run a search on it and see what it will bring up. The first thing I found was an ability like with the powers you would be capable of.” Lance explained, showing the screen with the list before dismissing it. “There’s a difference between using your skills and then using them in ways that aren’t limited to where your character is from. Don’t be afraid to shake things up a little. That’s what I was told. But something seems… different for you. Were your powers affected somehow?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about? My powers are not affected by anything.” Shalltear said as she look away from the Adept. “Dammit, how did he know about that to?”

“Prove it.” He said, standing with his arms stretched out and letting his jacket fall to the ground. “Your emotions might say one thing, but if you do have the power and the will to kill me, then all I say is try.”

“You seriously want me to try and kill you? Did you land on your head when you were just a kid or something?”

“I’ve been wondering that same thing…” Aurora added.

“Fine, but don’t blame me for your stupid mistake kid.” Shalltear raised her arm as a spear of light appeared. “But if you do die I get to have your body, and make it into my personal servant.”

“That’s if it happens.”

“Then let’s find out! [Purifying Lance!]” Shalltear tossed her lance at the Adept as a runic circle appeared on his left shoulder. “Don’t think you can block or dodge this attack.” A large cloud of smoke went off in the area as the Lance made contact. But as it faded, something caught her attention. Lance just stood there. Unharmed. Like nothing happened to him. But like before, she saw the jewel in his hands and soon began to feel drained.

“Not the smartest of moves. This gem that Loki gave me allows me to negate the use of magic on a specific target or specific area. You may recall Bluebroke trying to attack me before and his spell fading along with your restraints? This is the same measure.” He then put the token back in his pocket, looking back at the Vampire. “However, it can only be used three times and after each time, it takes two hours to recharge. I’ve already used it twice.”

“Then try this then [Maximize Magic, Vermillion Nova!]” In a blink of an eye the adept’s body was covered in flames. “Hope your body isn’t too damaged once I kill you-.” Shortly after saying that, the flames disappeared.

“You forgot what I said. Cancels all magic in a specific area. The area is as big as the lake and invisible to the naked eye.” Lance sighed, picking up his jacket off of the ground. “Now, as I was going to say, I want to help you gain your powers… and in the process, meet someone that I think can help you.”

“I don’t need anyone’s help especially someone that is getting in my way of my vengeance. [Summon Household!]” Shalltear’s shadow expanded as a pack of wolves appeared from out of it forming around the countess waiting for the order to attack.

“I’m being serious now, Shalltear.” Lance told her, grabbing the hilt of his energy blade as it hummed to life, the black feather dangling by his fingers. “Please listen to me, I do not want to hurt you. But if I have to do this, then it’s because it’s your own fault.”

“Shut up! I don’t need help from anyone, NOW DIE!” With a snap of her fingers, Shalltear ordered her wolves to attack the Adept. As Lance prepared his stance for battle, only one thought lingered in his mind as his had was now holding onto the black feather. He seemed to be speaking to someone, but Shalltear wasn’t planning on that to happen.

“You think calling for help is gonna change anything? Call whoever you want, it won’t change a thing!”

To her surprise, it did do something though. Something that took her by surprise.

A butterfly portal opened then and spat out the woman who held two passengers. “Da fluff d’you say?!”
