Battle of Equestria: Call of War

`Sister, ENOUGH!' roared Princess Celestia, brandishing a white light at Luna.

`You FOOL!' rampaged Princess Luna, avoiding the blast.

`Ponies do NOT obey you! There are not your pets! They have their mind! You DO NOT control them!'

Celestia snarled angrily, flapping her wings. `I was the ruler of Equestria for more than a millennium! You? Hiding in my shadow for years! You imbecile!'

That was it. Luna blew. She roared. `ME?' she yelled, using her Royal Canterlot Voice. `YOU GOT ALL THE PLEASURE. THE LOVE! WHAT IS THE NIGHT WORTH, YOU'D THINK! THE PROUD! THE MIGHTY! YOU!'

`I declare war on you, Celestia. You have been proud for too long. You control ponies and push them to obey. I will not. I will build a republic that lives in peace! Love! Ponies will choose. They will choose which side will they be on!' Luna snapped.

With that, Luna went to the exit, and slammed the doors shut with her magic.

Princess Twilight Sparkle yawned and plopped down on a chair of her castle. Her day had been exhausting, after all the `Princess of Friendship' work. She closed her eyes...

Suddenly, a loud banging woke Twilight from her nap.

`Come in...' she yawned, and her best friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Rarity burst in, with Rarity levitating an Equestria Daily newspaper.

`What...' Twilight murmured, but Rainbow started first.

`There's war breaking out!' she cried, waving her hoof at the paper.

That got Twilight's attention. `What? Why?'

Fluttershy hid under her mane. `I-It's just that Equestria is splitting into something called the Solar Empire, led by Princess Celestia and the Lunar Republic, led by Princess Luna, are fighting.'

Applejack shook her head worriedly. `Princess Luna had an argument with her sister this mornin'. Princess Luna thought that Princess Celestia pushes us to do her bidding, treating us like her pets. Princess Celestia denies it, and...'

`It broke into a fight,' said Twilight, as the realization dawned on her.

Even Pinkie was keeping quiet. `Princess Luna promised to everypony who joined her nation will have freedom and happiness each day. Princess Celestia promised that in her nation, they would have her ponies to live happily and they would be equal.'

`Which side will we be on? Both sides seem...' Rainbow cocked her head. `Awesome,'

`No.' whispered Twilight.

`What? Why no? We must choose a side!' Rarity cried.

Twilight trotted towards the meeting hall, or the cutie map. She offered them a seat on their thrones, and began talking.

`War is never good,' she began. `It would take years to end this. So we will form our OWN nation. We will offer peace and prosperity. We will work hard to end the war, whatever costs it takes. The castle will be our base, and to let ponies try and reason with the princesses, in the meantime protecting them.'

`B-But what about if the princesses attack us?' Fluttershy whimpered.

Twilight pondered the thought. `We can fight back, if they hurt us, but we will not fight without any reason,'

Applejack nodded eagerly. `Great idea, Twi!'

Rarity smiled. `We will call ourselves the Nation of Harmony!'

Twilight's face darkened. `For now, girls, read the news and find any possible facts. I will reason with the Princesses. If it doesn't work, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy, make this castle as comfy as possible, and get your belongings too. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and I will try and find the Elements of Harmony, and bring them back.'

`What for?' Rainbow piped up.

`Just in case,' Twilight said.

`Good luck!' chorused the girls as Twilight spread her wings, and flew off to Canterlot.

The castle seemed eerie. Twilight rapped on the door.

`Anypony here?' she yelled. There was no answer. Confused, she trotted in silently. Her hoofsteps echoed on the marble tiles. `Celestia? Luna? Anypony?'

`Ah, Twilight!' cried a voice, and Princess Celestia trotted out. `So you had decided to join my empire!'

`She's joining ME, Celestia,' said a darker voice, and shadows descended over the hall, which took in form of the elegant princess of the night.

`I-uh...' Twilight started.

But Luna and Celestia are peppering her with persuasive sentences.

`Eternal freedom!' yelled Luna.

`Happiness forevermore!' cried Celestia.

`STOP!' Twilight screamed.

The two sisters stopped and looked at Twilight.

`Well?' they asked at the same time, and suddenly glared at each other.

`Did you say what I just said?' Celestia whispered, opening her snowy white wings.

In anger, Luna tackled the princess of Equestria on the floor, horn flaring, ready to preform a spell. Twilight roared in anguish.

`You too are sisters for years. YEARS! And YOU are fighting just because of a tiny statement?'

`She called me imbecile!' snarled Luna.

`She told lies to everypony. All lies!' Celestia argued.

Twilight glared at the two princesses. `War is not wise, princesses. You should be ashamed of yourselves! As princesses, you should know better. Think of the ponies that will be hurt! Celestia, say sorry to your sister for calling her imbecile. And Luna, say sorry to Celestia for accusing her of things she did not do.'

Luna made a growling noise. `Twilight Sparkle, if you don't stop talking about nonsense, I will chase you out. Now, DECIDE!' She bellowed.

`None,' said Twilight coldly. `I will build my own empire. The Nation of Harmony. And I'm going to stop you two from war.'

Luna roared, `STOP HER!'

Lunar guards raced out of nowhere and chased after Twilight.

`I have one great idea...' she murmured to herself. `Run.'

Twilight's horn instantly flared up, and she teleported away outside the castle.

Twilight gasped as she ran to the center of Ponyville, where the Castle of Friendship was. She cast an invisibility spell around her and ran as fast as her hooves can carry her, and with a burst of energy, cast a teleport spell and flashed inside her castle. The Lunar guards either can't see her, retreated or are out of breath.

`Twilight!' yelled Rainbow Dash, and her friends galloped to her.

`Did it work?' cried Applejack.

`No, and...' Twilight slumped forward, out of energy. Rarity caught her quickly, plopping her on a seat.

`Luna was enraged...Luna and Celestia were fighting...Doesn't even call each other `sister' anymore...' Twilight said.

`Have some rest, darling,' said Rarity. `We'll follow your plan.'

`But how about the Elements of Harmony?' Twilight asked.

Rainbow flapped her wings. `We'll just help Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack first. Take some rest. You'll need your energy.' she sounded concerned, like Rarity.

`S-sure,' managed Twilight.

The girls nodded, and they ran off.
