How could I have lived so close to
the sea for so long, and yet
never have known this peace?

Kelp curls around me like
a lover's embrace
muffling Myinnkyun's murmurs

The tide cradles me, rocking
the sun in its distant orbit, shimmering
like a solitary gemstone in an endless sea

Silence
surrounds and

I merely wish
I had known
that that
was what
I wanted
