In a time long ago the sun and moon protected the earth, its sky, and the aether entwined with them. Their combined strength could fell any beast that threatened the Land of the Six Blessings, but it would not hold them together. The moon saw that the realm cowered and slept under its watch, not even sparing a glance to the heavens in gratitude for her, but it danced and sang in and of the brilliance of the sun. It would not be long before the moon herself became an evil her sister must destroy, but without the true power of the Six Blessings or the will to exact justice upon her beloved sibling, the sun only managed to merely seal her away.

The Blessings understood the sisters’ plight however, and promised to return when the time was right, turning enemies to allies and channel their strength through her shadow, a spark of darkness, that would use them to judge the moon as it willed.

The sun would lament for a time, but her duty was to the land, so she continued to be glorious and loving, bringing the sealed form of the moon along with her in hopes that the realm would one day see the beauty of the heavens whenever her sister’s night came to pass...
