What did I see in the Door of Fears? Well .... It's nothing easy to forget, take lightly, or as frightening as you may think...
This will help you understand what happened about 7 months after Princess Crystal Amondra Twilight was banished.
I am Twilight Amondra Skies.... And these are my worst Nightmares.
Ending Peace
The streets of the kingdom were empty. They were always empty.
As the lone Unicorn walked slowly through the streets, she listened to the echoing of her hooves clopping on the ground beneath her hooves.
The streets were so long, every road expanded compared to the equine who roamed them. It scared her... yet it was the only thing she could call home. She felt like she had always been here. Always been alone.
She tried to look out of the windows lining one side of the hallway, but she could see nothing inside. Crystals as black as the deepest cave covered every window, every door. She could not break them to get inside to warmth. She could not escape.
This place was more of a prison than anything.
The pony prisoner shivered, and coughed haggardly. Her whitish-gray coat was lined with tiny patches of ice in some places. It was so cold. So very cold.
She shook her head, shaking the tiny icicles off of her horn. She could hardly use magic. The freezing temperature seemed to have sucked the magic right out of her, it was saturated with ice.
She sighed, her breath distinctly visible in the frigid air. She continued to walk, aimlessly searching for some form of life... some form of hope.
The pony stopped. She had not seen this building before.
It was a Palace.
A sense of hope lite her confidence as she ran for the tall building and walked through the cavernous halls that compared to the one who roamed them.
The pony stopped once more, this time she saw a massive room.
A ballroom.
She couldn’t understand how she knew the name or what the room was meant for.
Ice coated the place, making the whole area colored in various shades of blue and grey. The air felt crisp and clear, no sounds daring to penetrate the stillness.
Across the vast room, a set of gilded stairs stood, leading up to a small balcony, on which sat an ice and crystal-encrusted throne.
It called to her.
She trotted across the ballroom, every echoing step of her hooves resounding around the room and beating down on her harshly, emphasizing her isolation.
She slowly climbed up the slippery stairs, and sat in the throne. A startling, painful chill ran up her back. The pony gave a cry, closing her eyes and gritting her teeth.
Then she heard a noise. The pony flicked her ears, opening her eyes quickly. She gasped as she took in the sight before her.
The ballroom was filled with ponies. Pegasi, unicorns, and even earth ponies flooded the dance floor, laughing and talking.
The prisoner sat in the throne, her face plastered with a look of great surprise. Slowly, a smile crept onto her lips. Her heart filled with pure elation. For the first time in a long time, she felt joy.
The ponies began to dance, a wonderful, haunting waltz, being played in the background by an unseen orchestra. The stallions took the mares into their embraces, and the couples twirled and spun across the floor in perfect synchronization. The mares’ beautiful dresses seemed to bring color to the icy realm around the ponies, and the handsome smiles of the stallions brightened the room.
Then something happened that made the prisoner’s heart stop, it was HIM… The Dark King, Dark Light.
She remembered what he had done, he took everything from her. Her friends, family, loved ones, and even her destiny. Everything gone, and it was all because of him.
The Nightmare that could make the Skies stop in their tracks
Skies backed up as far as the chain and collar around her neck would allow her. Sombra stood over her, an evil glint in his eye. Skies tried to use her magic, but the black crystal ring around the base of her horn prevented her from summoning even a simple spark. Skies whimpered as Sombra grabbed her horn and smashed her face into the floor of the cave they were in. By the amount of light, Skies took a guess that they were underground, and far away from civilization. Skies snorted and glared up at the pure black stallion. She opened her mouth to yell at him, but a muzzle was quickly placed over her snout. She could breathe through her mouth, and probably drink, but it wouldn't let her open her mouth enough to speak. She mumbled in the back of her throat, making her unhappiness known.
"Aw, come now little one. I think it suits you."
Skies simply glared as she tugged against the thick leather collar around her neck. The young filly leaped forward, intent on tackling Sombra. He simple sidestepped her and swiped at her hooves. She tumbled head over hock and landed on her stomach. Somrba placed his hoof on her back, pressing down.
"Want to try that again?"
He pressed down harder as Skies winced. She shook her head no. Sombra let her up and brushed back her messy mane.
"Now was that so bad? I don't think it'll be all that hard to train you. Oh, I have so much planed for you, Sky."
Something happened than neither pony did not intend, Skies' body glowed softly as her heart like it was having a little piece was being ripped away, and there was something or someone was trying to get out. Out of nowhere a white fireball shot forth from the darkness heading straight for the Dark King, the fireball made contact with the Dark King's face causing the flesh to become nothing, but burned and bloody. The one fireball wasn't the only one in this prison, a ring of the white fire burst through the ground around the grey filly trapping her inside. The flames were about end her life, and she wouldn't be able to live free ever again.
"NO!!!" Skies yelled out in fear, anger, pain and loneliness.
