Shadow The Hedgehog finds himself with an infant Pinkie Pie, what could go wrong?

Shadow finds himself with a box left at his doorstep. Who left it there no one knows, but I think we should be more focused on the contents of said box.

Having to deal with amnesia and now a infant Pinkie Pie that has proclaimed him as her father, how is Shadow supposed to cope?

Luckily Rouge and Omega are there to help him...

Or cause more havoc, you never know. But one thing is for sure, silliness ensures.

But there is a mysterious force at work, now Shadow and Pinkie must pick up the slack and save the world. But everyone is asking the same question...

Left at the doorstep

Shadow sat on the edge of a cliff overlooking Station Square. Ever since he and the others defeated Metal Madness he really hasn't done much else with his time but explore and think about things. He sighed as he watched the sun go down, taking in the beauty before him as the sky went from blue, orange, dark blue and then to black. The stars twinkled and the moon rose behind him. "I should get going, otherwise Rouge will just get on my nerves about coming back late, not that I care."

He turned around and began walking over the lush green grass and listened to the leaves rustling in the wind. He eventually made it to a large street where most of his 'friends' lived. He walked along the clean sidewalk until he came across a large two story house that was painted black and red. He shared this house with Rouge and Omega since be didn't have anywhere else to go other than the space colony ark, they even painted the house in his colour scheme to make him feel more welcome.

He walked through the door and closed it. He made his way to the stairs and up to his bedroom. Without moving under the covers he dropped himself onto his large bed. His room was pretty bare, other than a few photos and his weapons closet. He shut his eyes and slipped into a dreamless sleep.

He was awoken by a loud knocking at the front door, which he heard with his enhanced hearing that was given to him by Gerald Robotnick. He groaned at threw his legs over the side of the bed and made his way down to the first floor. He opened the door to find no one there, the rain was coming down bad. He was about to shut the door when he heard whimpering. He looked at the ground and saw a cardboard box with a note on it, still dry somehow.

He lifted the box inside and placed it on the kitchen counter. He took the note of the box and read it out loud.

Dear Shadow Vladimir Robotnick

I know this will come as an inconvenience to you and quite frankly I have no idea why my superiors want me to give her to you of all people. Inside this box is a small pony named Pinkie Pie, and be warned, this little one is supernaturally adorable. Up to a little challenge? See how long you can go with her staring at you without at least petting her.

You are to take care of and protect this pony with your life. Don't ask questions because you won't get answers, we all have to do things we don't want to do.

So try to stay positive as your wacky adventures slowly start to form a bond between you until they day she has to leave yeah? No one likes a crybaby.

"Pony?" Shadow opened the box to find a shivering pink pony with a straight mane curled up in the corner. "I'm supposed to take care of this thing? You've gotta be kidding me." He looked at the note and groaned. "Rouge will get a real kick outta this, and Sonic will not let it go." He looked at the shivering pony and sighed. "I might as well warm her up." He threw a few logs into the fireplace and grabbed a towel from the bathroom.

He picked Pinkie out of the box and wrapped her in the towel, set her down by the fire and sat on the sofa watching her shivering slowly cease. Pinkie opened her eyes and looked at the fire and snuggled into the towel that slowly started to become wet due to her soaked fur. She looked around the room until she saw Shadow and smiled happily at him, her baby blue eyes going wide.

Shadow just watched as she clumsily got out of the towel and sat down in front of him, staring at him with expecting eyes.

Stay strong, you are powerful, don't...let...the...cuteness...over...power you.

In about 4.563 seconds he gave in and lifted her in his hands and held her in the air which caused her to squeal in delight. This brought a small smile to his face as her little hooves kicked in excitement. He continued smiling until she wrapped her front legs around his torso and said something that caught him by surprise.

"Waddy!" His eyes shot open in surprise.

Did...did she just imprint on me? Me?

"What's with all the noise down here?" They both looked to see Rouge in her pyjamas wiping away some sleep in her eye. "Shadow, what are you doing up th..." Her eyes widened at the sight before her. Pinkie had climbed onto Shadows head while he was shocked and had her legs sprawled out across his forehead. It was both hilarious and adorable as they both looked at her with wide eyes. "Shadow *pfft* why is there a pink pony in your head?"

He tossed the note at her and she began reading it.

"You're supposed to take care of this thing? You?"

"I've already asked myself the same thing, I would have just left her at some other doorstep if not for-"

"Waddy!" Pinkie cried out while nuzzling one of Shadows quills.

"What she said." Rouge tried to suppress her laughter but failed...miserably.

"She...she thinks you're....she thinks you're her...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" Shadow frowned at this. Pinkie noticed Shadows face and smirked.

"Momma!" Rouge froze with wide eyes as Shadow began snickering.

"Look at that, looks like you and I are her parents." Rouge blushed and recomposed herself.

"I have no interest in raising a child with you Shadow."

"Maybe this will change your mind." Shadow held Pinkie up to her face and they stared at each other.

Too cute...must hug...must...take...care...of...pony.

Rouge gave in and brought Pinkie in for a hug, Shadow giving her a smug look. "Fine, I'll help you take care of her. Only because she'd kill me with her cuteness if I didn't." Shadow rolled his eyes and walked into the kitchen and fetched a carton of milk for Pinkie. "So, her name's Pinkie Pie huh?"

"That's what the letter says yeah."

"Shadow?"

"Yeah?"

"You never told me your middle name was Vladimir." All she got was a groan and the sound of something hitting the counter from the kitchen. A few moments later Pinkie was happily slurping away at the milk carton through a straw the managed to find. Just then they heard heavy footsteps coming from down the hallway.

"Don't mind me, I'm just getting a midnight milkshake then heading back to sleep mode." Omega walked into the kitchen, grabbed a milkshake and began walking over to the hallway until he saw Pinkie. They both stared at each other curiously. "Why is there a tiny equine in the living room?" Pinkie stared at him with wide eyes.

Critical Error: Optic sensors malfunctioning

Prime directive changed: Cuddle small equine

Omega picked Pinkie up and brought her into a hug, which she returned. "Nanny!"

"Wait what?"

Shadow rolled his eyes and Rouge laughed.

A few weeks ago Shadow had altered Omegas personality core and voice chip to give him more of a personality, his voice was now slightly higher and less robotic.

"This should be interesting."

Morning Routine

Shadow awoke a few hours after finding Pinkie at his doorstep, she was currently cuddled up to his side with her mane now poofy and curled. He gave a soft smile and scratched behind her ear, bringing a huge smile from her.

Am I really going through with this? I don't really think I'm that great of a father figure. Hell, I don't even have any memories other than the recent adventure, and a few fragments of some girl named Maria.

He looked to Pinkie who was now looking at him with her beautiful baby blue eyes, giving him a happy smile, which he returned.

"Morning Pinkie."

"Mowing waddy." She yawned and nuzzled his side. She then started playing with one of his quills by batting it with her front hooves

"Come on, let's go get some breakfast." She smiled and crawled onto his head. Throwing his legs off the side of the bed he made his way down stairs to find Omega making pancakes with an apron on that had 'Kiss my shiny metal ass' written on it. "Morning Omega."

"Mowing Nanny!" Omega smacked his head into the counter after hearing that which caused Pinkie to laugh.

"Just sit down you two or I'm launching you both into orbit." Shadow rolled his eyes as he took a carton of milk out of the fridge for Pinkie and started making some coffee. As soon as the coffee was made Rouge lazily walled into the kitchen.

"Coffee, now." Shadow handed her a fresh mug. "Thanks Shads."

"Mowing Momma." Pinkie sat on the table in front of where Rouge was sitting.

"Oh...hey there squirt. Let mommy drink her coffee then I'll play with you." Pinkie nodded and sat on her Shadows head again. "So Shadow, are we really doing this then?"

"Not like we have a choice, she's already imprinted on us so..."

"I think she'll be a good influence on you." They both turned to face Omega as he flipped a pancake. "You've been so moody up until Pinkie appeared, I don't even think I saw you smile before she showed up. Plus it will be hilarious to see the others reaction to that nuclear powered cuteness."

Shadow held the milk carton up to Pinkie once he found a straw, she sat with the carton in her forehooves as she happily slurped away. Omega set the pancakes in front of Shadow and Rouge and drank a chocolate milkshake. "How can you drink those things without frying your circuitry?"

"For some strange reason Eggman designed me to draw spare energy from milkshakes. I think he was going through a phase."

Shadow shrugged and began eating his breakfast. The rest of the meal was sat in silence until they all finished. Shadow burped Pinkie after she finished her milk, Omega had scanned her and determined that she was about 1 year and three months old. He also pointed out her cutie mark which they all agreed was nothing more than a tattoo, although Pinkie seemed to have found a bunch of balloons somehow.

Shadow made a list of things that they would need to get for Pinkie while Rouge played with her. Rouge had changed into her normal attire and began brushing Pinkies coat, as her mane was a lost cause. Omega began building a playpen for her and even found a toy cannon for her somewhere, that she named the 'pawy camon' or party cannon in real English.

Just then they heard a knock on the front door. Rouge opened it to find Amy and Tails. "Oh, hello you two, come on in." They walked into the house only to freeze in place when they saw Pinkie on top of Shadows head.

"Oh my goodness, she's adorable!" Amy picked Pinkie up and hugged her. "What's her name?"

"Am Pinko Pie!"

"She means Pinkie Pie." Corrected Omega.

"Shadow, why do you have a tiny pink pony that looks like she could give a guy diabetes just by looking at him?" Asked Tails struggling not to tear Pinkie off of Amy and cuddle her.

"Someone left her in a box at our doorstep last night, I would have found someone else to look after her if not for one thing."

"And that is?"

Pinkie jumped out of Amy's arms and clumsily walked over to Shadow and wrapped her legs around his ankle. "Waddy!"

"HNNG!" Tails clutched his chest and fell to the ground while Amy just 'aww'd.

"If you're her daddy, who's mommy?" Pinkie pointed a hoof at a blushing Rouge.

"Momma!"

Amy burst out laughing while Rouge just faceplamed. Omega was the only one to check on the unconscious Tails.

"Yo Tails...you alright?"

Cause: Exposure to overpowered cuteness
Course of action: Poke with stick, see if that helps

Terror, terror in the night.

The rushing winds crash into the crowds and rain falls no matter where you turn. There is no escape, no escaping the true horror. A sudden silence...then roaring thunder! Lightning! Floods! Tornadoes! Famine! Pestilence! Fire! Earthquakes!

GAHHHHHHHHH!!!

Making way to hazy afternoon sunshine. I'll be back with the five day forecast after...this.

Shadow turned off the television. "Well that was certainly an interesting weather forecast." He set the remote down and looked to see Amy and Tails playing with Pinkie who was rolling around on a large rubber ball with little to no effort. Another smile made its way onto his face.

"Yeah, I can do this."

"Waddy!" Pinkie had rolled over to him and held a small note in her mouth that said 'hug?' With her front legs reaching out to him. The sight nearly made him squeal like a fan girl, he picked her up and held her close.

Brace yourselves...cuteness is coming

Shadow was currently at the shopping mall in Station Square gathering the things he would need for Pinkie. Omega was on babysitting duty while Rouge was out on a job. Shadow had considered getting a job to help provide rings for the group, but all he had to do was run through one of the zones to get a hefty amount.

Still, he wondered what it would be like working for G.U.N. with Rouge and Omega. He shook those thoughts out of his head and walked into the next store. After looking around the Isles he came across a selection of baby foods, he looked at the list that Omega had given him and selected a brand that was suitable for Pinkie to eat.

"I wonder how Omega and Pinkie are getting along right now."

Meanwhile

"CHOO CHOO MOTHA BUCKAS!!!" Omega and Pinkie were currently at an amusement part playing on the bumper trains, a modified version of bumper cars.

Pinkie laughed in happiness as they plowed through the other children on the track.

"I'm sure they're fine." As he filled his basket with more essential items he accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh, sorry about that." Shadow then looked up to see a familiar crocodile. "Vector?"

"Oh Shadow. Didn't think I'd see you of all people here."

"I could say the same thing to you."

"We got stuck with a babysitting job that we thought was a murder case, we would have declined but we are getting a hefty load of rings for it. Why are you here anyway?" Vector looked at Shadows basket and raised a brow. "More importantly why do you have all that baby stuff?"

"I kinda...have a kid now."

"Well then congratulations man, who's the lucky girl?"

"No one, someone left a box on my doorstep two nights ago."

"Oh, that's cruel." Vector and Shadow continued talking as they picked out more stuff. When Shadow reached for a branded baby milk Vector stopped him. "You don't want that stuff, it's from one of those factory places. You're better of with this store brand, straight from a farm and it's cheap." Vector handed him a plain bottle with the stores logo on it.

"How come you know so much about this?"

"I used to run a daycare before creating The Chaotix. Gotta know this kinda stuff with a kid around Shadow, you might wanna do some research."

"I will, thank you."

"Hey, I don't think I've ever seen you smile before. That kid must be some kinda Saint to pull that off."

"She's gotten me to smile, Rouge to become her adoptive mother, Omega to agree to be her nana, Tails to have a heart attack and Amy to stop thinking about Sonic for a full two hours." Vector just walked wide eyed as they paid for their stuff and walked out of the store before shaking his head.

"This I gotta see." Shadow rolled his eyes and led Vector to his home. After walking for ten minutes they came across a tiny alligator. "Huh...he's a tiny one isn't he?"

"I think he could be a good pet for Pinkie, no idea why though." Shadow picked up the small creature and they continued on their way. When they got back they saw Omega carrying a small pink ball of fur in his hands. "Hey Omega, everything alright?"

"Shush, Pinkie is asleep." Vector looked at the ball of fluff and froze. Pinkie was curled up with her hooves close to her body and was hugging her tail, snoring peacefully.

Too adorable...stay strong...don't squeal...don't...squeal!

Just then Vector passed out while standing, his body freezing in place. Shadow just looked to him then to Pinkie multiple times, this little pony was the definition of death by cuteness.

"Hey Shadow, what do you think Eggmans reaction will be like when he sees Pinkie?" Shadow scratched his chin in thought.

"He'd either die of a heart attack, try to weaponise her cuteness..."

"She already did that."

"...or he would stop trying to take over the world." Both of them looked to each other before smirking. Pinkie started to stir and stretched like a cat, causing them both to smile softly. She opened her huge baby blue eyes and yawned, she then looked around and spotted Shadow. Smiling, she spread her forelegs wanting to be held by him.

He picked her up and hugged her, causing her to nuzzle into his chest. Shadow showed Pinkie the tiny alligator and she gasped, she then grabbed it and hugged it, then giving it the name 'Gummy'. Upon further inspection the tiny creature seemed to have no teeth, it then latched onto Pinkies mane with his gums and froze, causing Pinkie to giggle."

"Alright, let's go give Eggman a heart attack."

"Yay!" Omega threw his hands in the air with joy, he then turned around to see Vector still frozen. "You go on ahead, there is something I have to do." Shadow nodded and started his hover shoes, he then skated his way in the direction of Eggmans current base.

Omega walked up to Vector and scanned him.

Subject Vector the Crocodile status: cuteness induced coma
Course of action: You know what to do

Omega slowly raised a stick. "I love my life."

Eggman sat in his control room as egg-pawns monitored the base and Station Square. He looked at one screen in particular and raised a brow. "Why is E-123 poking Vector with a stick?"

Just then the alarm in the base went off, signalling that an intruder had entered the base.

"Who is it? Sonic, Knuckles?"

"It is Shadow your supreme roundness, and he appears to have a small equine and reptile with him."

"Call me that again and I use your parts for the Cubot Series! Anyway, what does that emo want now?"

"Sir, the badnicks have encountered Shadow and are...letting him through willingly?"

"WHAT!?!" Eggman grabbed the robot and threw him out if the way, staring at the screen. He then heard a knock at the door to the control room. "Did...did Shadow just knock at my door? Without blowing a hole in the wall?" He hit a switch that opened the door and Shadow slowly walked in.

"Why hello there my dear nephew, how have you been?"

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!"

"And you still think I listen?"

"Uh...fair point, now what do you want this time?"

"I want you to meet your new cousin." Eggman raised a brow as Shadow walked up to him. He smirked and held Pinkie up to his face, her staring at him with a huge smile.

Eggman just sat there as all of the robots in the room malfunctioned due to the sheer volume of adorableness. For the first time ever Eggman took of his glasses and revealed his sapphire blue eyes, Pinkie then took the glasses and put them on, also adding a fake moustache and rubbing her hooves menacingly.

"I can't take over the world if it has something this adorable in it."

"You're going to try anyway aren't you?"

"If I don't who else will?"

"Egg-Robo?"

"Scrapped."

"The E-100s?"

"Destroyed or gone rogue."

"You really need to keep track of your boss robots."

"I know." Eggman took Pinkie from Shadow and looked her over. "Fascinating, where did you find her?"

"Box on doorstep."

"That's just cruel, even I think that's too evil." He stroked Pinkies mane a few times before giving her back to Shadow. "I assume she's already imprinted on you yes?" Shadow nodded. "And you're ok with that?" He nodded again. "Very well, I'll give you lot a few years to get her raised before I attack again, I don't want to rob her of her childhood."

"This coming from the guy who traps animals in robots, blew up half the moon, summoned a God of destruction and almost destroyed the planet multiple times."

"Shut up and leave already, before I change my mind." Shadow rolled his eyes and skated out of the base. "Now that I'm alone...HNNG!!!" He grabbed his chest and fell limp in the Egg-O-Matic.

Author's Notes:

I'm giving a few characters their own backstories such as Vector in the daycare.

Also, I'm planning on having the Omega Stick thing being a running gag throughout the story....

....because reasons.

Trip to the sanctuary

*Warning, the following chapter contains references to the sonic Archie series and Sonic Universe comics. If you have any questions about mentioned characters feel free to ask as I am well informed about these comics*

The next day in on Angel Island, Shadow zoomed through the forest with Pinkie holding onto one of his quills. He dodged and weaved through the trees as he collected rings and destroyed some abandoned badnicks along the way. As he was entering a clearing he spotted an item monitor with a blue cannon on its screen, it looked exactly like Pinkies toy party cannon. He walked up to it to inspect the new power up. Just then Pinkie jumped and landed on the monitor, destroying it and revealing the weapon within.

Pinkie sat on top of the blue cannon and clapped her hooves happily. As a motobug drove towards Shadow Pinkie aimed the cannon and fired. The badnick was hit by a wave of confetti and sweets, resulting on it to explode and free the flicky bird within.

"Pawy camon, pawy camon!" Pinkie somehow shrank the weapon down and stashed it in her mane. Shadow just blinked and shrugged. He knelt down so Pinkie could jump onto his head and she hugged her favourite quill as he shot off again.

Knuckles sat beside the master emerald in the sky sanctuary with a hand of cards in his hands, and another hand by the master emerald. He looked to his cards then to the master emerald. He revealed his hand and turned the others over...finding he had lost to the gem.

"I need to get off this island more." Just then he heard two pairs of footsteps approaching. He looked over to see two familiar faces. "Mighty! Ray! How have you guys been, we haven't seen you in a while."

"Yeah, we finally got back from our adventures around the world. Met some interesting people, ran into Bark the Polar Bear a while back." Mighty shook Knuckles' hand.

"He's not still with the Hooligans is he?"

"Oh no, they split up a while ago. He's actually moving to Station Square pretty soon, got a job in Zone Construction with Mina."

"Oh yeah, I heard Minas quit her singing career. She's doing Zone Construction now?"

"She tests out the zones with her speed, Bark does the heavy lifting."

"Well, it's good to see you two back, I know Charmy and Vector will be real happy." Just then a familiar chameleon showed himself. "How long have you been there Espio?"

"Ever since your second round of Texas Hold'em." Espio hugged Mighty and Ray. "It's great to have you two back." Something caught the ninjas eye as he looked out at a long platform. "Hey, isn't that Shadow?"

They all looked over to see Shadow collecting rings and zooming around the platforms, he then turned and was now heading for the master emeralds shrine where the goal post was placed.

"He better not be trying to steal the master emerald. You never know with this guy, especially since he's still deciding whether to side with good or evil." The group just looked at Knuckles with disapproving stares.

Shadow reached the goal post and ended his run through the zone. "Ok, so I got three hundred and sixty four ring from that. Should pay the electricity bill this month." Just then a small pixelated version of himself appeared with a small jingle. "And a continue apparently, didn't know we still had these things."

The group looked curiously at the hedgehog because of a small ball of pink fur hanging from his quills. Just then the ball jumped off of him and formed Pinkie who stretched like a cat. She looked around until her gaze fell upon the group, she the smiled and ran over to Espio, hugging his leg.

"Um Espio? You ok?" Knuckles looked at his friend worriedly.

Resist, must resist...you...have...ninja power...don't give in! Espio gave up a few man points to hug the small pink bundle of energy. Ray fainted and Mighty just stared wide eyed. Knuckles still hadn't got a good look at the filly so he just looked at his friends confused. Shadow walked up to them and smiled at Pinkie and Espio.

"I'm starting to think that no one can resist this little one."

"Shadow, who is this adorable little creature?" Asked Espio as Pinkie hung from his horn.

"This is Pinkie Pie, my...my daughter." Knuckles just burst out laughing.

"Oh man! You and Rouge had a kid in this length of time, that's rich!" Knuckles ceased his laughter and turned away.

"I think you're just jealous Knuckles." He stopped walking as a blush appeared on his face.

"Jealous of what exactly?"

"That Rouge agreed to raise a child with me and not you." Knuckles reached for Shadows head but stopped, took a deal breath and put his arms down. "Point proven."

"What do you want Shadow, why are you here?" Knuckles asked in a cold voice.

"I was just collecting some rings and showing Pinkie around the island." Pinkie jumped out of Espios embrace and onto Knuckles' fist. Knuckles raised his hand to find himself staring into huge baby blue eyes. The stare down lasted a good five minutes before Knuckles suffered a heart attack and gripped his chest. Shadow rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone. "Omega, got another one for you."

"Where, I'll grab my stick...wait that sounds wr-" Shadow hung up after that little innuendo.

"Come on Pinkie, let's go home."

The next day, Shadow sat with Pinkie as she watched some morning cartoons. Her show was interrupted when an emergency broadcast came on.

"We interrupt this program to bring you this emergency news update."

The city of Station Square is in a panic as a mysterious warning from some strange force was made to the president this morning. What's worse is that world wide hero, Sonic Maurice Hedgehog has gone missing!

Shadow shut off the television and got out of his seat. "Pinkie, you stay here with Omega. Dady needs to go out for a little while." Pinkie nodded and scurried to Omegas room. Shadow threw the door open and ran to Tails' house.

"Tails! Tails!" He got no answer. "Damnit!"

He started his hover shoes and shot off at full speed to check every known zone. "I swear if that faker is slacking off again in Ice Cap I'm going to punch him so hard!"

The next chapter will be at the start of Shadow the Hedgehog, a few years from the current timeline.

Sonic will not be in this story, so Shadow has to pick up the slack.

Shadow: Beginnings

10 years later

It had been ten years since the disappearance of Sonic the Hedgehog, at first the planet was in uproar but a few weeks later everything had calmed down. Search parties were sent out by G.U.N. for the following months but they eventually stopped. Shadow had looked over the planet multiple times, with his speed it made it easier for him to get around.

The other mobians were devastated...well, most of them anyway. Not much had happened in the world since, in the Team Dark residence however...

Pinkie had brought much needed joy to the depressed people of Station Square and Westopolis. Her innocence and overall adorableness was all that was needed to bring a smile to the people's faces. Eggman had kept his promise and stayed hidden in his base, inactive and began focusing on his robotics research.

Amy often visited to see Pinkie as it took her mind off of Sonic. She eventually got over the whole thing and began looking for other relationship options. Tails started becoming more independent without Sonic around to hold his hand, he had taken it as his responsibility to fill in for Sonic if the situation arose. Knuckles had been visiting more often, taking the role of an uncle for Pinkie. The Chaotix often babysat Pinkie as they absolutely loved her, and she got along really well with Charmy.

Omega had fully accepted the role as nanny for the pink pony, and he actually took pride in it, although he seemed to have a strange obsession with poking people with sticks. Rouge and Shadow grew accustomed to her calling them her parents, although no relationship beyond friends came about.

Shadow and Omega decided it best to educate Pinkie themselves, as to avoid any teasing or problems with her hyperactive personality in a school with everyone being a separate species.

She eventually received a mark on her flank that none of them could figure out how it had gotten there of all places. Later that day Shadow received a letter from the very same people that had given her to them, detailing that it represented her special talent. Ever since then Pinkie has jumped at every opportunity to throw a party.

As Pinkie grew so did her energy and curiosity. She would watch from a hill as Shadow went through Green Hill to collect rings, she eventually started trying to copy his spindash ability, and surprisingly she could almost do it first try. Shadow began teaching her how to use it and eventually how to homing attack. She of course upgraded her party cannon with help from Omega to make it more efficient at destroying badniks and other hostile creatures.

She was now eleven years old and was just up to Shadows waist. She had noticed that over time Shadows headaches and visions were becoming more frequent, along with him mindlessly mumbling the name 'Maria.'

When she asked him about it he sat her down and gently told her about his amnesia. She took it to heart and started trying to find a way to cure him of his memory loss, which he greatly appreciated, but there is only so much a little filly like her can do.

After the threat against planet earth by an unknown force, Shadow had begun training with various weapons in the event of an invasion...

...and he was right to do so.

Shadow and Pinkie sat on a hill overlooking Westopolis on a blanket eating some sandwiches. The unusual forecast had stated that the weather was to be clear and bright, so they thought it was a great idea for a picnic. Pinkie loved Rouge and Omega, but she loved spending quality time with Shadow a little bit more. Pinkie flew a kite over the field while Shadow looked over a few papers.

He had begun trying to develop Pinkie her own set of hover shoes do she didn't have to cling to his top quill when going through a zone. So far he couldn't find a way to shrink the jets down for the shape of her hooves and had sought out the help of Tails and Eggman. They had told him the shoes would be complete soon and to stop by the workshop later that week.

He set the papers in the picnic basket as the shoes were going to be her present for her twelfth birthday the next weekend. He smiled as she slowly floated off the ground as the wind got stronger and pulled the kite up, but not too high that she would fly away. He loved moments like this, just watching her play about without a care in the world.

His thoughts went back to that strange girl he kept seeing in his visions. 'Who is that girl? And why can't I get this gruesome imagine out of my head?' He thought to himself. He momentarily pictured the girl being shot by a soldier before snapping back to reality.

"Daddy!" Pinkie shook his arm and he looked at her. "You were mumbling that name again." The worry present in her voice was enough to make him uneasy.

"I'm fine Pinkie, just another vision." He scratched her behind the ears which caused her to give a goofy expression and tapped her back leg. Just then her tail started twitching violently.

"Uh-oh."

"What, what is it?" Over the years he learned to read the signs of Pinies self proclaimed 'Pinkie sense', and after hearing the name of it he was surprised no one had been sued yet.

"Something's gonna fall." Just then a large vortex of red clouds appeared over the city. "Something very mean." Just then creatures stared to fall out of the vortex and into Westopolis, cries of fear could be heard and there was multiple explosions. "Daddy, we have to help the people in the city!"

"Right!" He was about to take off when he heard a dark crackled voice.

"Shadow..."

Just then a star shaped creature with one eye floated towards them, revealing a hologram of a dark figure in a dark red cloak, three orange eyes and some old tribal jewellery.

"As you can see, the day of reckoning will soon be here. Find the seven chaos emeralds, and bring them to me as promised."

Shadow hid Pinkie behind him and stared the figure in the eyes. "Who are you, how do you know I'm Shadow, and what are you talking about?" The hologram ceased and the creature flew away. When Shadow tried to go after it multiple explosions went off around him, he grabbed Pinkie and shielded her from the blasts.

When the dust settled he looked out to the damaged city. "Daddy, who was that?"

"I don't know Pinkie, but...I think he might know about my past." Pinkie just tilted her head.

"What gave you that idea?"

"He told me about this 'day of reckoning' like I should know about it." Pinkie then thought about it for a moment.

"Whelp, he said he'd do something if you brought him the emeralds, so maybe he'd be willing to share your past with you."

"Alright then, let's go find those emeralds!" Pinkie nodded and jumped onto Shadows quills as he shot off towards the besieged city.

Shadow: Westopolis

As the two reached the city they found a large crater in their way, looking around Pinkie spotted a large dash panel that would send them across. Once they were flung into the air Shadow began to free fall into a large hole in a broken building as huge lasers shot down from the sky. Once they were on the ground they were flung across another crater.

On the other side they landed on a broken road with a G.U.N. soldier hiding behind a barricade. Upon closer inspection there seemed to be a few flying creatures surrounding him. Shadow took them out with a homing attack while Pinkie comforted the soldier. Just then Pinkie saw a laser coming down on their immediate area and grabbed the soldier and jumped out of the blast radius.

Shadow heard something come from behind him and saw another flying creature flying towards him. It was then punched out of the sky by a familiar face.

"Hey Shadow, long time no see." Mighty chuckled as he looked around the area. "This place has gone to hell, I need your help dealing with these black creatures." Just then they heard a gunshot and looked at the soldier. "Did he just shot at us?"

"Is it because we're black?" Shadow asked in a offended tone.

"N-no! I-I-I'm new to the agency, I didn't know that this was all going to happen. I'm just on edge, please, I'm sorry!"

Shadow walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulders. "It's fine, you're scared. You stay here and guard this spot, and tell your other soldiers to not shoot at us." The soldier nodded and sent the message to the other agents in the area. "Come on you two, we have a city to save." The group ran down the road until the came across a group of soldiers fighting some alien foot-soldiers.

Pinkie nodded to Shadow and walked up to the aliens. When they looked at her they paused, she looked at them with huge puppydog eyes and a quivering lip. They looked to each other nervously as one scratched his head in thought. They then began contemplating something in their own language before pointing their guns at her.

Pinkie smirked and pulled out her party cannon, blasting the creatures with confetti and small explosives. When the last alien fell a dark red box opened revealing the green chaos emerald. Pinkie grabbed it and presented it to her father. "Look daddy! A chaos emerald!"

Shadow looked at the area confused. "Why would that guy want me to collect the chaos emerald but put one in a box that can only be opened if you kill his soldiers?" Mighty thought about it for a second.

"Maybe he has a weird fetish for that kinda thing?"

"Mighty! Not in front of Pinkie!"

"Daddy, what's a fetish?" Mighty chuckled nervously as Shadow gave him a death glare.

"You're too young to be saying that Pinkie, I'll tell you when you're older."

"I'm just gonna look it up when we get home~"

"I'll put safe-search on."

"I already know how to turn that off." Shadow facepalmed and Mighty started shuffling away.

Shadow then looked and pointed at him. "You, you are the uncle that no one likes."

Uh...Shadow, it's my job to give the characters their place in the family.

"Daddy, who is that voice?"

Shit! I've been compromised! Memory wipe! Memory wipe!

A bright light envelopes the group, erasing their memory of the narrator talking to them. They looked to each other and shrugged. A spring appeared and they jumped onto it, taking them to the next section. They found a large iron wall in the way, which was then blasted by a laser. They took out a few more black creatures before proceeding to the next area that became available due to another road block being destroyed.

Before they could move further they were stopped by the starfish-like creature.

"Shadow, you're late...from now on, my eye sh-"

It was cut off by Pinkie shooting it with her cannon. "He's in charge of these meanies, he took away the people's smiles." Pinkies mane became flat. "Let's tear 'em all apart!" She raced ahead and started to attack more of the black creatures that had set up a barricade further down the road. A few lasers tried to hit her, only to hit its own soldiers.

"Come on Mighty, we have to get to her before gets hurt." Shadow was about to take off when he heard a G.U.N. soldier call him.

"Here, take this!" He threw him his sidearm. "Go protect the little pony, and wipe out these freaks!" Shadow saluted the soldier and made his way down the street. Upon arrival he found Pinkie had returned to her normal self while helping a wounded soldier into cover as some aliens shot at them. Shadow aimed his gun and shot the aliens one by one.

"Oh yeah, I love this thing." Mighty smashed a creatures head with his fist and punched a hole through the barricade. Shadow walked over to Pinkie as another soldier helped her carry his teammate. "Are you ok Pinkie, you went a little nuts back there?"

"Sorry daddy, when I saw the looks of horror on the aliens faces, I turned back and helped make them smile again...before blasting them off the face of Mobius."

"Atta girl." He ruffled her mane and they pressed onwards. They were flung by another dash panel over to a rooftop. There they helped some soldiers deal with more aliens before lowering a bridge up to the next rooftop. Taking out more aliens to reveal a spring, the came across a section where they needed to triangle jump from wall to wall to reach the other side, where some flying creatures and one foot-soldier stood behind a cluster of red plants. Shadow shot one of the plants causing it to explode. Taking out the aliens they jumped down to the next street where more lasers tried to hit them.

Upon reaching the end of the street they found an abandoned bus with a few aliens behind it. Mighty went over and flipped the bus onto the creatures, squashing them with a satisfying poot noise, causing Pinkie to giggle and proceed to make fart noises all the way down until they came across a flying G.U.N. drone trying to shoot some aliens behind another bus. Repeating the process they came across a section where the lasers had caused the main highway to bend in a lop like the ones in Green Hill.

"I have no idea how they are gonna fix that, but I have a feeling Bark is gonna demand a raise for it." Shadow mumbled to himself as they ran up the loop with the help of dash panels, Pinkie holding onto Shadows quill.

Flying of another dash panel they came to an underground section of the road where they found more soldiers shooting the aliens. Taking them out they charged forward and came into a large open area where a huge battle was taking place. A helicopter flew overhead and began to mow down the aliens in the area only to be shot down by a laser. "Uncle Mighty, go help the pilot out of the wreckage!" Mighty nodded at Pinkie and separated from the group.

Taking out a few more enemies they eventually reached a large goal ring with the blue chaos emerald inside it. Just then a G.U.N. soldier ran up to them.

"Hey, thanks for all your help you two. There was a few more black aliens up ahead but they were killed by a well trained squad. Here, we got you something as a thank you." The soldier reached into his pocket and pulled out a flame bracelet. "Found this lying around, figured you could use it better than we ever could."

"Uh...thank you. Secure the area and tell your higher ups that we will assis you in the fight against the aliens." The soldier nodded and ran off. Pinkie just looked at him confused.

"What happened to getting your memories back, if we go against the aliens then we go against that guy with the eye, it even rhymes!"

"I'm doing this because they are a danger to you. You are the only ray of sunshine in my life. So if that means I have to give up my memories to protect you, then it's worth it."

Pinkie jumped down and hugged him. "I love you daddy."

"I love you too Pinkie Pie."

Shadow: Lethal Highway and Black Bull

After retrieving the second chaos emerald, Shadow and Pinkie began walking back to their home to rest up and think of a new plan. "Daddy, are we still collecting the chaos emeralds?"

Shadow looked to the mystic gems in his hands. "Whatever that alien leader is up to he requires the emeralds powers, the less he has, the more of a chance we have of stopping him." As they began walking along a damaged highway a small alien aircraft flew above them. "What the hell?" Shadow squinted his eyes and noticed a thin energy field around it.

"Should we go after that?" Pinkie looked around until she caught a glimpse of something that made her grin. "Hey Daddy, look!" She pointed her tiny hoof in the direction of a black and red motorcycle. Turning back to her father they both smirked.

"I'll drive, you shoot." Pinkie nodded and hopped onto the back of the bike as Shadow started the engine. "Huh, someone actually left the keys in this thing."

"But wait, won't this make us go slower?" Pinkie asked as the pulled out a modified version of the party cannon that was slimmer and had the look of an advanced rocket launcher.

"Yeah but it'll make us look more badass." He pulled out a pair of sunglasses and sped down the damaged road. Along the way they came across a group of black aliens attacking a squad of soldiers. Shadow jumped off the bike and quickly dealt with the attackers. Picking up a gun from a nearby gun crate he hopped back onto the bike and they eventually caught up to the alien ship. "Ok Pinkie, let's do this!" The pink filly smirked and aimed her 'party bazooka' and fired. The projectile launched from it was surrounded by confetti until it his a blue shield, the energy field then spat off small parts of itself like shattered glass when it was hit.

Shadow levelled his new assault rifle and began unloading the entire clip onto the shield, chipping away at its durability. When he ran out of ammo he discarded the weapon and pulled out his sidearm. They both gave the shield everything they had until they ran out of ammunition. "Daddy, I have a plan!"

"Yeah, what is it?!" He slammed his foot into the ground as they slid around a sharp corner.

"Use chaos control to send me ahead so I can ready the party bombs!" Smiling, Shadow took out a chaos emerald and charged its energy.

"Chaos Control!" With a flash of light Pinkie was gone. After picking up another pistol he returned to shooting the aircraft. He came to a point where he had to leave the bike behind and pursue the ship on foot. Activating two large doors he passed into the next area. Looking ahead he saw a few baby blue spheres along the route the ship was taking. As it flew over the blue items the balls exploded into large clouds of fire, candy and of course confetti, heavily damaging the shied until it turned green.

Pinkie sat on top of a phone both with her party cannon ready. "Party hard." She fired one last shot at the ships shield and it shattered like glass, leaving the aircraft vulnerable.

A group of soldiers noticed this and began firing at it, many of their robots doing the same. Soon the ship hit the ground and slid across the road. Shadow pulled out a black smartphone with his emblem on the back and sent a message to someone. "Come on Pinke, I'll buy you some ice cream on the way home." She jumped with joy and began skipping beside her father as they left the area.

"What did you do about the pilot daddy?" Shadow just laughed.

"I let someone do something that they haven't done since the first week you were brought to us."

...

Meanwhile, the alien pilot shakily climbed out of the wreckage and breathed heavily. Opening his eyes he was greeted by two black metal feet. Looking up he saw Omega standing over him with glowing red eyes. Omega then slowly pulled a stick into the aliens vision.

...

"You're cruel daddy."

"They started it."

Pinkie sat on top of Shadows head as she happily licked her ice cream while humming to herself. Just then the weird star creature floated by them. "He Pinkie, did you see that?"

Pinkie just looked at the creature and groaned. "Didn't I kill that thing already, he's just so mean it makes me wanna cus!"

Shadow immediately stopped. "Who taught you how to swear?"

"I heard mommy yelling a lot of swears when she stubbed her toe on the coffee table." Shadow faceplamned and continued on. Turning the corner he spotted the creature with the third chaos emerald by its side. Pinkie noticed this and pointed her hoof at Dooms Eye. "Daddy..." Shadow took a fighting stance. "...get'em!" He shot foreward and readied his fist to punch the star in the eye. As he got close he was thrown off balance as a gust of wind blew across the area.

Looking up he saw a large puffy alien creature with large wings and one huge eye.

"Say hello to the Black Bull you traitorous hedgehog, he shall be the instrument of your destruction!"

"I can't exactly he a traitor to someone I never sided with in the first place now can I?" Dooms Eye just flew away and the Black Bull roared.

"Daddy, can I take this one?" Pinkie asked in an excited state.

"Go right ahead Pinkie, just don't hurt yourself." Pinkie jumped off his head and Shadow walked to the side of the street. "Pinkie..." Pinkie readied her replenished party bazooka. "...sick'em."

Running over to a building Pinkie began scaling the wall while shooting multiple party rockets at the large creature. It shot a ball of dark energy at her and hit her in the chest, causing her body to flash in and out of existence while a few rings spewed out of her body. "Hey! That was my allowance you jerk!"

The bull flew down the street and started shooting waves of electricity at her as she followed it. She scaled a wall again and hit its eye with a homing attack, causing it to scream in pain. She then unleaded a flurry of attacks onto the alien. Once it was weak enough it fell to the ground. Pinkie walked over to its mouth and placed a small blue orb between its teeth. Walking away the ball exploded, finishing the Black Bull. "Cool fillies don't look at explosions."

Shadow chuckled and grabbed the third chaos emerald. "C'mon, let's go home, hopefully without any interruptions this time." Pinke placed her hoof in Shadows hand as they walked out of the city together.

Shadow: Break from the action

Shadow sat in his living room polishing his new sidearm and customising it to his needs. Pinkie sat watching some Saturday morning cartoons with Gummy latched onto her hair. Omega had gotten back from fighting off some black creatures in the governments mainframe with Rouge and both sat in the living room, Omega having Pinkie sit on his head.

They had gotten news that Knuckles was defending the ancient ruins from an attack alongside Bark the Polar-bear and Mina the Mongoose. The Chaotix were called in to gather any information on the aliens from any mainframe they could hack into. Tails was investigating a large loss in gold rings and suspected Eggman had gone back to his old ways when in truth Pinkie had visited the moustached doctor and convinced him to join the fight against the aliens and Egg-Pawns were now joining the G.U.N. forces in Station Square.

Amy had become more independent as she had now reached her twenties. She was currently investigating some strange reports in an old castle that was supposedly haunted. Mighty was still running around Westopolis searching for any civilians that didn't manage to make it out before the aliens attacked.

Shadow slumped back in his recliner and stared at the ceiling, thoughts about the Black Arms flooding his mind. The creature nowh known as Black Doom seemed familiar, like he had met him before. Shaking the thoughts away before he suffered another vision and headache, Shadow got up and headed for the door. "I'm just going out for a walk. I'll be back soon." The group nodded to him and he walked out the door.

As he walked down the street he passed a young boy who wore red fingerless gloves, a white polo-shirt, blue shorts and shoes and a white helmet with large red rooster locks. "Hey Billy, how was the battle in Morning Land?"

"Well, we were able to beat those weird creatures with our own creatures and giant eggs, not much damage was felt to the chickens homes." The boy answered with a smile.

"Well that's good to hear, tell your friends I said hi." Billy nodded and ran off down the street.

When Shadow had walked out of the door Pinkie immediately jumped off of Omegas head. "I'm just going to my room for awhile Nanna." Omega just stayed still and mumbled something under his breath. Pinkie walked into her bright pink room and pulled out a chair at her desk. She took out a tablet and began searching the web for something very important. "It amazes me how the government can be so stupid and post their plans and documents on the Internet." She logged onto her profile in the G.U.N. database and searched 'Project: The Ultimate Lifeform.'

Hacking into the secret files undetected she copied the words from the page into a notebook with a piece of paper stuck on the cover that said 'Daddy's Past Research.'

"Wait, it says that Shadow the Hedgehog died when saving the earth from the falling Space Colony Ark, how can that be? He's still here." She copied the last few words down and closed the tab. She then opened a new one and began to type. "Ok, what...does...fetish...mean?"

Shadow walked through the peaceful zone that was Green Hill, he was staying away from the action stage. He sat down on a bridge and looked out at the green valley before him. Sighing he pulled out a picture of Pinkies fifth birthday party, everyone had attended, even Tails Doll, fricken Tails Doll fell under Pinkie's adorable spell, as did Mecha, Silver and Metal Sonic.

Shadow chuckled over the memory of that day, Pinkie had the three robo-hogs wrapped around her tiny hoof as they all competed as to who would serve or hold her. It did eventually result in Metal Sonic turning into Metal Overlord again but be caused no destruction, he just took Pinkie for a fly and came back.

A lot has changed in Shadows world ever since Pinkie came into his life. Things have been more peaceful, everyone had improved from their flaws, everyone had a place in the world...except for Shadow. He had yet to find his purpose in the world. You could argue that his purpose is to protect and raise Pinkie but that'd be the easy way out. He wanted the truth, but he had to sacrifice the truth in order to protect Pinkie.

Shaking his head at his dilemma he got up and shot off towards his home. His questions would be answered another day, right now he had to rest, think things through and above all...keep Pinkie safe.

A shorter chapter this time. Not as long as I'd like it to be but this isn't really a full chapter, merely a side note to the main story. I'm not going to do anything with the Commander in this as it would break the flow of the story.

Pinkies Birthday part 1

"Move a little to the left." Shadow said to Omega who was holding him up as he was placing a party banner on the ceiling. Omega did as instructed and moved a step to the left allowing Shadow to nail the banner in place. Jumping off of Omegas head Shadow looked up at his work, smiling with pride as he had finally been able to get the ting to stay up after numerous failed attempts. They couldn't get Rouge to fly up and place it because she was busy distracting Pinkie a the two Team Dark members set up everything.

"What's next on the list?" Omega asked.

Shadow took out a checklist and ticked off the party banner. "Next is the cake, I'll go get that and be back here in no time, I got Pinkies favourite bakery to make it for her so I shouldn't be too long. While I'm doing that do you think you could make a start on the party food?"

Omega stood straight before placing a chefs hat on his head. "My time has come." With that he walked into the kitchen to perform his mechanical magic. Shadow blinked and shook his head at the action before placing the checklist down and zooming out the front door. As Shadow had left the house a new figure had entered.

"Hello, is anyone home?" The female voice called out.

Omega stopped and turned his head. "I know that voice..." He set down his cooking utensils and took off his hat before walking into the front room to see a familiar face standing there. "What are you doing here?" He asked not with hostility but with extreme confusion.

As Shadow carefully came to a stop outside the small bakery just a few blocks down he pushed open the door to the pink building and a tiny bell rang out from the top of the doorframe. Walking in Shadows vision lay on the selection of freshly made baked goods ranging from cupcakes to marble cake to French fancies and other treats that he had grown to love, Pinkies insistence of trying new sweets had drove him to eat the things he once hated for no reason and made him love them.

With his body being the way it was he didn't have to worry about cholesterol or fat, perks to being the "Ultimate Lifeform." So he could eat all the junk he wanted without the shame or damage, it seemed that Pinkie was just made of sugar so it had no real effect on her. The only thing that did make Pinkie go ballistic was when she had tried a Red Bull, and she didn't need no wings to fly when that happened.

As Shadow was busy looking at the teasing treats he failed to notice the two store owners coming in from the back room with a large white box. He looked up and smiled at the happy elderly couple that had started the bakery and had kept it running for over forty years. "Ah, good morning Mr and Mrs Sweets, I hope that what your carrying is my order?"

The seventy year old thin man with a small grey moustache chuckled and handed the box to Shadow over the counter. "You'd be correct my boy. I hope that Pinkie Pie enjoys this and has a happy birthday." He said kindly in a tired voice.

"Please give this card to her from us." The plump elderly woman with grey hair tied in a ponytail said as she gave Shadow an envelope which he placed in his invisible pockets.

He reached for his wallet when he felt a hand being placed on his shoulder. "Don't you worry about paying sonny, consider it a thank you for all the times Pinkie has helped out around here."

Knowing there was no use in arguing with the man Shadow gave a sigh with a smile. "You know I'm going to feel guilty about not paying you right?"

"Oh you'll get over it, now get going, you've got a party to prepare, give that lovable ball of energy our best." Mrs Sweets said as she smiled warmly.

Shadow nodded and walked out of the small store, holding the large box behind him as he sped through the streets with great care. As he slowed down just a bit away from his house he spotted Knuckles and Vector walking towards the house with smiles on their faces and gifts in their hands. They spotted Shadow and waved to him while waiting for him to reach them.

"You guys are early." Shadow said simply as he reached the pair.

"We wanted to get here early to help set up the party for our favourite little pony!" Vector exclaimed with enthusiasm and a huge smile.

"And didn't you want everyone to get here early so we could surprise Pinkie?" Knuckles asked with a raised brow.

"Well, yeah, but I just wasn't expecting anyone to come this early." Shadow sighed and began walking towards the house. "Come in, you can help set up the decorations and Omega with the food."

"Omega is cooking?! Alright!" Vector yelled in joy. Everyone now knew that Omega was the best cook anyone had ever known, so whenever he cooked for a large group of people or mobians he could deliver a very tasty spread.

Shadow rolled his eyes at the crocodile and led the two inside, only to lose his smile as he saw who was standing in the living room with Omega. He felt no negative emotions, only extreme confusion as did the two other mobians standing behind him.

"Sally Acorn? What are you doing here?" Knuckles was the one to ask.

Pinkies Birthday part 2

Sally rubbed her arm nervously as all eyes lay on her. While some were extremely glad to see her they were more confused over her sudden appearance. Shadow just held a neutral expression, trying to figure out why Sally would even be near Station Square in the first place, last he checked the Freedom Fighters had disbanded as Dr Robotnik was destroyed(1). Not allowing his mind to wander he was the one to ask the question that needed to be answered. "Why appear now? Why here?" He was concerned that something had happened with her kingdom due to the Black Arms but was more concerned with the risk of her arrival ruining Pinkies party.

Sally sighed and placed her back against the wall. "I denounced my right to the throne." She answered quietly, but loud enough for the others to hear. Omega, Shadow, Vector and Knuckles just stared at her in shock.

"Why would you do that Sally, has something happened? Do you need our help again?" Knuckles asked as he set his gift down on a table and began moving closer to Sally.

"I just...felt like I didn't want my life to be filled with all of those Royal duties, all of that responsibility, all of the expectations. It may be a cliché thing for me to think about but I just felt like my life could be so much better than that. I miss the days that I had the freedom to do as I wanted without an entire nation judging me for it, I miss the days of the Freedom Fighters and I miss the days I could just be me." Sally explained sadly. "So...I left my brother in charge, he's been dreaning of the position of King since he was young and he has shown great leadership skills. I saw an opportunity and I took it." She sighed and looked to the ground.

Knuckles looked to Vector who shrugged. Shadow set the box with the cake on a table nearby and walked over to Sally. "So you came here hoping to start your life over with your old friends?" He asked with understanding, resulting in a nod from the former queen. "Well, you probably made the right choice coming here, everything is for the most part the same so that should bring some comfort of you're missing the old days."

Sally just looked up at Shadow and gave a sad smile. "You've changed though." She said with a raised brow. "What happened that made you so much more open and understanding?"

Shadow just smiled and looked away. "It's not something you'd expect of me. Being a parent can change someone, in this case it changed more for the better."

Sally perked up at the topic being changed. "I remember with those missions you did for me nine years ago you had mentioned something about having a new reason to keep fighting after you lost your memories, I assume you were talking about a child?" Sally then looked around the room and smirked. "You're right though, I would never have expected someone like you to do this for someone else, that kid must really be special to have changed you."

Vector laughed as he recalled some memories of Pinkie and Shadow. "You've got that right Sally, Pinkie Pie is a really special kid, brings smiles to everyone she meets, there is not one person or mobian that dislikes her! She even got Eggman to stop being evil for a few years!" He exclaimed with happiness.

Sally just looked at Shafow with a raised brow. "You named your daughter Pinkie Pie?"

Shadow just frowned, finding her question slightly insulting, not to him but to Pinkie. "She's adopted, that was her name before she was left at the doorstep one night ten years ago, right before Sonic's disappearance."

Sally flinched at his glare. "I'm sorry...I wasn't trying to-"

"It's fine, just forget it." He stopped her mid sentence before the tension could grow. "Now, if you want to talk about your problems or catch up it will have to wait until later, after Pinkies party, I don't want her birthday to be ruined because of some inevitable drama other than the Black Arms suddenly attacking again."

Sally just smiled and nodded. Shadow, Knuckles, Sally and Vector began setting up the rest of the party while Omega worked his mechanical magic in the kitchen, making sure to have a selection of Pinkies favourite foods as well as other things for the rest of those attending.

Meanwhile

Rouge walked with Pinkie bouncing along beside her. While the others were preparing the surprise party Rouge had been keeping Pinkie busy by going around and visiting their friends who were all informed of the plan and were instructed to head straight to the party after they had been visited.

The two were approaching the house that belonged to Tails who was busy working on his biplane out in his front yard. "Hello Tails." Rouge said earning the two tailed foxes attention.

Tails looked over and smiled at the two before getting up and walking over to them. Over the past ten years he had grown noticeably taller, now being in his early twenties, and his voice was still high but deep enough that you would know he has aged. "Pinkie, Rouge, how are you two doing?" He asked as he knelt down to scratch Pinkies ear, resulting in her melting in his hands with a goofy smile that war,ed his heart. "I'd say pretty good."

Rouge smiled at her daughter. "You're right, Pinkie has just loved going around to see everyone today, right Pinkie?"

Pinkie smiled brightly and nodded. "Yeah! Going around to see everyone means I get to make more of my friends smile!" She announced happily.

"Well no matter where you go you'll always make people happy, there isn't one person other than those aliens that can look at you without smiling." Tails told the tiny pink pony while ruffling her mane.

This just made Pinkies smile widen, knowing that just her presence made people happy. "Well making others smile is what I do best afterall, that and throwing parties, smashing bots, hunting aliens-" Pinkie just continued to list off other things that she excelled at doing while Rouge guided her away from Tails and down the sidewalk to their next destination. Tails quickly put his plane in his garage, put his tools away, grabbed his gift and spun his tails, flying off towards the house of Team Dark.

Author's Notes:

(1) In the comics, it is shown that Dr Robotnik is actually a robot and has multiple backup bodies, one of which ended up as the Eggman we know today, this story is a mix of game canon and comic canon, so in this Dr Robotnik and Eggman are separate versions of the moustached doctor.

Pinkies Birthday part 3

As Shadow was about to close the front door as Tails entered the house he stopped as he saw a few more guests arriving. Eggman, Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Silver Sonic, Tails Doll we're walking up the sidewalk, all with gifts in their hands. Shadow just rolled his eyes as he remembered the day Pinkie had won over the metal hedgehogs and the cursed doll, as well as every badnick and egg pawn, there was no robot under Eggmans control that could resist the pink pony, if they tried to resist their optic sensors were destroyed by Pinkies pouty face.

"Hello Eggman, glad you could make it to the party." Shadow greeted as he held the door open for the group.

"Well it wouldn't be a party for Pinkie Pie if everyone wasn't present now would it?" Eggman chuckled and walked in, placing his gift on the table beside the door. "By the way, Tails and I finished your little surprise for Pinkie."

"Thanks Ivo, I owe you and Tails big time." Shadow said as he let the metal hedgehogs enter the building.

"I was doing this for Pinkie, not you, so you owe me nothing." Eggman stated with a dismissive wave of his hand.

As Eggman and his subordinates went off to socialise with the other mobians and people present Sally walked up to Shadow with a raised brow. "Pinkie even managed to win over the copies of Sonic?" She asked as she looked to Metal Sonic talking with Mighty, Mecha Sonic having an arm wrestle with Bark the Polar Bear, Silver Sonic blowing up some balloons with a helium tank and Tails Doll playing tea party with a few kids that were attending.

"Yes, she surprised us all when she came home with them all following her." Shadow just chuckled at the memory.

Sally looked at Shadow confused before smiling. "She's really had an influence on you hasn't she?"

"What do you mean?"

Sally just smirked. "For starters you actually laugh and chuckle over things that don't involve the misery of others, secondly you aren't constantly folding your arms and pouting, lastly you are making an effort to be friendly."

Shadow looked down to his hands and gave a small smile with his eyes half lidded. "Yeah...I guess she has had a bit of an influence on me."

"A bit of an influence?" Sally asked with sarcasm present in her voice.

"Ok a large influence." Shadow admitted, causing Sally to laugh.

"Well I'm glad that she has made you more open and considerate, makes you seem like an actual nice guy." She tapped his nose playfully and walked off to socialise.

Shadow just watched her walk away, confused by her actions and by what she had said. Vector walked over to him and began nudging him with his elbow. "Talking up the princess are we?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"Vector?" Shadow said simply. "Say anything like that again and I will break that elbow."

Vector backed away slightly. "Ok ok, I was just joking Shads." The crocodile rubbed his arm nervously. "But for real though, from what I saw it looked like Sally was putting the moves on you."

"Hah, like Pinkie would even allow me to have a relationship with someone other than Rouge." Shadow chuckled.

"You never know Shadow, Pinkie is a smart kid, she knows that you and Rouge won't get together. In fact I think she'd love the idea of you getting out there." Vector replied with a smile and cheery voice.

"Yeah Shads, it is time you stopped being a single father, get out there and get yourself a girl." Rouge entered the conversation causing Vector and Shadow to jump.

"Rouge?! When did you get here? Where's Pinkie?" Shadow asked as he looked around for his daughter, worried that the surprise would be ruined.

"Relax Shadow, Pinkie stayed behind at Amy's place, they'll be here any minute."

Shadow nodded and formed a determined look. "Alright everyone! Places!" The room was then filled with everyone running to their hiding places, some being smart like hiding in the closet while others were obvious like Metal Sonic placing a lampshade over his head and standing straight beside the couch. "Well...at least we know Metal would make a nice lamp."

"They're coming!" Knuckles yelled as he looked out the window before hiding behind a potted plant. Omega walked over to the plant and looked around.

"Since when did we start buying plants? This thing wasn't here before."

"Just hide Omega." Shadow deadpanned while turning the lights off before hiding behind the table that held the food for the party with Rouge, Tails, Espio, Eggman and Mighty.

Outside

"So that's where you keep your hammer." Pinkie smiled.

"Yep, but don't tell anyone or I'll never hear the end of it." Amy winked at the pink pony that was bouncing beside her.

Amy was now as tall as Shadow, no longer wearing a short dress. She now wore a short sleeve red top, light blue jeans and her boots, her hair was slightly longer.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone! Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Pinkie replied with a smile while performing her little ritual.

Amy rolled her eyes and turned to walk up to the front door of the black and red house. "Hey Pinkie, why don't you go in first?"

"Oh, ok!" Pinkie hopped up the three stone steps and pushed the red door open, revealing a house filled with darkness. "Is anyone even home?" She asked as she walked in. Looking around she jumped up and hit her hoof against the light switch, casting away the darkness.

As she turned around she was immediately greeted by everyone jumping out of their hiding places. "Happy Birthday Pinkie!!" Everyone yelled out with smiles, Omegan and Vector firing confetti cannons at the sides of the tables.

Pinkies eyes just went wide and her mouth slowly formed into a huge smile. Shadow and Rouge walked up to the pink pony and kneeled down. "Happy birthday Pinks." They both said before Pinkie wrapped her hooves around them and pulled them into a hug.

"Best, parents, ever!" She exclaimed happily.

"Hey, what about us?" Charmy moaned.

Pinkie pulled away from her parents and somehow managed to get everyone in the room into one tight hug. "Best, family, ever!" She corrected,,causing everyone to laugh and return the embrace. Sally had been left out of the hug as Pinkie had not noticed her.

As the hug was broken Omega grabbed Pinkie and held her up to his face, hearing her stomach growl slightly. "Alright, everyone grab a plate before the food gets cold, but let Pinkie get first dibs!" He instructed.

"Nanny Omegas cooking? Yay!" Pinkie exclaimed before dashing out of Omegas hand and began pilling her plate with food, soon everyone else was doing the same.

"I can't help but feel like we're forgetting something." Shadow said to himself. As everyone began enjoying the feast before them the door burst open to reveal Dooms Eye. "Oh right, he's a thing."

"You fools, do you not realise that-"

"Sorry, friends and family only!" Amy yelled before sending the star shaped demon flying out the door before he crashed into the sidewalk across the street.

Dooms Eye recovered from its daze to see Omega standing over him. Looking down he saw that Omega was holding a stick in one of his claws. "It has been so long...but now...I finally get to poke something again."

The stick joke still lives.

Shadow: Prison Island

Pinkie screamed in excitement as she dashed around in her new dash shoes, given to her by Shadow for her birthday. They fit normally around her hooves and had anything that was red on Shadows shoes were pink on hers. The cylinder like shoes didn't rely on fuel, having been built to sustain themselves on leftover energy from the rings Pinkie collected.

After the party had ended Pinkie found herself tuckered out as everyone bid farewell. Pinkie had to scold the Tails Doll into giving her back a flicky's soul before he was allowed to leave the house, but Tails Doll could not resist her adorableness for long and quickly returned the spirits before flying away with Eggman who would work to prevent another soul being lost.

Pinkie yawned and sat down on the couch. "Man, rushing around and greeting so many people at one time is exhausting."

"You're just on a sugar low Pinks, let's get you to bed." Shadow explained as he scooped up his daughter and carried her to her room. During a test with Eggman who had volunteered to analyse Pinkies body as he was the only doctor to have experience with other worlds creatures not counting his grandfather, Shadow had found that sugar was basically Pinkies natural fuel source. Without it she would become tired or just slightly less energetic.

Pinkie streched like a cat before circling a spot on her soft mattress before lying down and allowing Shadow to tuck her in as he moved the blanket over her body. He leaned down and planted a kiss on her head. "Happy birthday Pinkie. I hope you enjoyed your downtime, because tomorrow, we're right back to hunting those emeralds."

"Eh, it's just more downtime." Pinkie stated begore closing her eyes and letting sleep take her, Gummie crawling up and entering her main, disappearing from sight. Shadow blinked and began searching Pinkies mane in search of the little alligator, but found nothing but a dreamcast and SEGA Genisis.

Meanwhile Omega and Rouge were busy tidying up after the party, Rouge flying up to take down banners while Omeag picked up the trash laying around. "You'd think with how long they all spent fighting for nature that everyone would know to not throw things on the ground." He complained as he placed a full bag of garbage on the small pile of garbage bags.

"It was most likely the kids attending Omega, they don't know better." Rouge explained as she landed beside the robot.

"Well then maybe they need a lesson in discipline." Omegan said darkly as he switched his right hand to a gatling gun.

Rouge rolled her eyes. "No Omega, you can't discipline the kids in the neighbourhood."

"But their parents do such a bad job and get stressed out over it, I will do it with a Goddamn smile on my face."

"You don't even have lips!"

"Keep it down! Pinkie is trying to sleep!" Shadow yelled from the upstairs landing.

"Sorry!" The two called back before sighing.

The next day

In a flash of bright light Pinkie and Shadow appeared at their next location, an old G.U.N. prision island. There were long rivers of toxic green liquid and the metal buildings and platforms had moss growing all over them.

"Man, having some chaos emeralds really makes getting around easier." Pinkie said as she began looking around. "This place is a dump, it could really use some cleaning. How long has G.U.N. been away from this place?"

"Actually their robots are still here, so we should expect to see them around, this facility is still fully functional, it's just that G.U.N. hasn't had need of a facility like this for years." As Shadow took a step forward he froze as images began to flash in his mind, images of Eggman releasing him from his imprisonment before the Space Colony Ark was set to fall to earth, but stopped by Sonic and Shadow. Shadow grasped his head as more images flashed in his mind.

"Daddy? Are you ok? Are you getting visions of that girl again? I told you to take your pills!" Pinkie scolded. A while ago, Rouge and Omega had put Shadow on a special medication that would suppress his violent clashes and horrid memories, stopping the pain and allowing him to go about his day normally.

"I took the pills Pinks...this is...different." Shadow said painfully before he stopped with his eyes wide, looking around. "Wait...I remember this place. I escaped the ark, but was then captured by those humans...but where...and why?" He asked no one as he looked around.

While Shadow was looking away Pinkie quickly jotted down what he was saying in a notepad to add to her "daddy's past research" project, as well as writing down what he was experiencing.

"Well we aren't gonna find any answers standing around here, let's get going!" Pinkie exclaimed as she dashed off, Shadow recovering and soon following after her, not used to her taking the lead.

The two jumped onto a grind rail that took them down to a small area where some robots were fighting the Black Arms. The robots looked at Pinkie for a second, aiming their weapons at the two before their scanners recognised Shadow as a friendly and Pinkie as "too adorable to shoot."

With the assistance of the robots the two made there way up to a cell block where they encountered the last mobian they expected to see there. "Charmy?" Shadow asked.

The bee knocked a Black Arms soldier away begore turning to them. "Oh, hey guys!"

"What're you doing here?"

"Well, Vector wants me to find five top secret discs that are supposed to hold some really important info, they're scattered all around the place." The bee said as he dodged blaster fire which ceased as the nearby robots killed the Black Arms in the area.

"Well since we're here we can help you out!" Pinke said happily as she dashed forward and came back with a compact disc in her mouth. "Found one!" She squeaked happily.

"Alright! One down, tha is Pinkie!" The group confined forward, Shadow picking up an alien blaster on the way. They launched off a dash panel and landed on a wide platform that held the first toxic river. "That stuffs poisonous, I wouldn't touch it if I were you, try finding some kinda raft or board." Charmy intructed.

Shadow found an alien that appeared to be ridding some kind of floating disc, killing the alien hai took it for himself. Not seeing any other hover discs around Pinkie hopped onto Shadows head as they began surfing down the toxic sludge, collecting rings as they went. They eventually landed on a pressure pad that launched them high into the air and onto another platform that held another hover disc leafing down a different river which also held one of the discs Cahrny was hunting.

As they progressed they came across a large flower like creature that was spitting fire everywhere, the robots desperately trying to take it out. Seeing a large slab that hand fallen onto the platform Shadow rushed over and flipped it, causing it to land on the plant which retreated into a small pod which Pinkie then burned. "I no longer trust demonic flowers!"

Shadow facepalmed. "I should never have shown her Undertale."

As they progressed further they collected two more discs and encountered a new enemy from the Black Arms, large worm like creatures that burst out of the ground and spat energy waves. Strangely, once killed, they dropped a gun.

Grinding down one last rail the group encountered another plant monster but was quickly dealt with. Looking down a small hallway they saw the goal ring with the white emerald but also noticed another path leading further in. "That must be where the lady disc is hidden." Charmy pointed out.

"Alright, I'll grab the emerald while you guys go for the disc." Shadow ordered resulting in the tow young adventures nodding and dashing through a flying dash panel and began to follow the last pathway and toxic river.

Shadow rand forwards, humped up and grabbed the emerald before placing it in his magic satchel.

"That makes four, meaning only three left to go. But..." Shadow looked to his hands. "What will I do when I have them all?"

Meanwhile Pinke and Charmy grabbed the fifth and final disc. "Hey Charmy, what're the discs fir anyway?"

"I dunno, Vector said something about hacking into some computer place to get info on that space station that kinda looks like Eggmans face." The bee explained. "Well, I gotta get these back to the boss, later Pinks!" With that the young detective buzzed off, leaving the pink pony alone.

"Um...how am I meant to backtrack here?" Just then a light began to envelop her. "Oh yeah, chaos control." With a flash she was gone.

Shadow: Sky Troops part 1

Eggman stood in the main control room of his current base of operations, a large number of Egg Pawns behind him as he watched the recordings of the Black Arms attacks on Westopolis and Station Square, as well as his own fortresses and G.U.N. facilities. "Those idiots, they're destroying everything!" He snapped in anger. "How can Pinkie have a good life in the city and be happy, if there is no city!?" He slammed his hands down on the main console in front of him.

Over the years he had let go of his own selfish desires, having been shown so much kindness by Pinkie, who continued to bring a smile to his face.

"I'm at my limit, I have no choice!" He turned to his robots. "Send in the Eggman Fleet, charge!" The Egg Pawns all nodded and ran out of the room to prepare the battleships while grabbing various weapons from racks along the corridors.

Eggman turned back around to look at the recordings again. "Don't you worry Pinkie, I won't let you lose your home like I did." He reached under the collar of his jacket and pulled out a locket, opening it to reveal a small photograph of three people, a man, a woman and a baby. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep your family together...so you won't have to go through what I did."

After wiping a few tears from his eyes he turned to the last robot in the room, Metal Sonic 3.0, or as he liked to be called...Shard.

"Are you sure that you want to go out there again, after what happened the last time you want out to fight?" The doctor asked in a dark tone, remembering what Dr Robotnik had Metal Sonic do to the black robot hedgehog during the fight against the freedom fighters.

"Hey, I'm the only one of your robots that hasn't had the pleasure of meeting that ball of energy." Shard replied with his usual cocky attitude. "Besides, that Metal Sonic was hand crafted to beat me, though I did manage to bring him down with me. These aliens are literally cannon fodder for that mutant starfish, I'll be fine." Shard flashed Egg,an a grin before flying out through a hatch in the roof.

Eggman just looked up as he flew away, beginning to think that rebuilding Shard may not have been the best idea he's had.

A few hours later

Pinkie and Shadow appeared on the roof of some sort of temple, but felt as if the ground was moving. Looking around they saw that a large amount of huge temples with pulsating red blobs underneath them were all flying through the sky like a fleet of battleships.

"Wow, if the aliens had this with them, I wonder why they didn't just use it in their attack on Westopolis." Pinkie commented as she leaned far off the edge while looking down, but somehow not falling off.

"I don't think the Black Arms are smart or have any common sense Pinkie, especially that Black Doom guy." Shadow said as he held the end of Pinkies tail while looking away to keep her from falling off. "If they did they would still be using those giant beams that they shot down from the sky to obliterate the worlds superpowers, we have no defence against that."

"Oh yeah, why aren't they using those things? They seemed to be really effective." Pinkie stepped back and Shadow let go of her tail. Turning her head Pinkie smiled in glee. "Look daddy, battleships!" She exclaimed as she hopped up on Shadows head and pointed towards the incoming fleet. "It's Ivo's ships! HI COUSIN!!!" She yelled as she waved her hoof.

Somehow, Eggman managed to hear Pinkie from miles away. Everyone had built up a sixth sense that allowed them to hear Pinkie addressing them from anywhere at anytime. "Pinkie? Is that you?" Eggman spoke from a loudspeaker.

"YEAH, ME AND DAD ARE ON THESE COOL FLYING TEMPLES!!! YOU NEED HELP TAKING THEM DOWN?!"

"Why yes, I could use some assistance, there are five energy crystals on the larger temples, destroy all of them to bring them down. My battleships are dropping robots to deal with the Black Arms and are providing covering fire, one of my commander robots are aboard the fortress a few temples ahead of you, meet up with him and he'll assist you."

"WILL DO!!!" Pinkie jumped off of Shadows head and took a running stance. "Well, let's destroy this place."

Shadow smirked and took a stance beside his daughter. "Couldn't have said it better Pinks." With that they both dashed off towards a dash panel that sent them flying over to the next temple.

As they reached the entrance of the temple they came across Dooms Eye again. "Shadow, the scientist is trying to-"

"Get it through your thick skull man! I, don't, work, for, you!" Shadow stated as he grabbed Dooms Eye, curdled him into a ball and tossed him inside of Pinkies party cannon, allowing his daughter to aim at one of the smaller temples before firing. Dooms Eye shot towards the large blobs keeping the temple flying and caused a large explosion, causing the temple to fall apart. "Some people never learn."

"Wanna bet that he still tries to act as if you work for him the next time we see him?" Pinkie asked.

"That will most likely be the case, let's just go get the emerald that's here." Shadow groaned.

"Wait, why does he want you hunting for the emeralds when his troops are always in the same area as them?"

Shadow stopped dead in his tracks and looked at his daughter, realisation hitting him like a ton of bricks. "These guys aren't just stupid, they're completely retar-"

He was cut off by Pinkie putting a hoof over his mouth. "You shouldn't say that word, you don't know who will get offended, Thai sis the Internet."

"What, I'm just stating a fact that these aliens are mentally retarded, I'm not disparaging the differently abled."

"I think it's just become a word that powerful groups use to feel like they're doing the right thing now."

Shadow crossed his arms and looked away. "Well that's retar-"

"Let's just get going, the chapter's almost done and we haven't made any progress!"

Shadow nodded and they entered the first temple. Taking out a few enemies they held onto a ring that brought them up to the exit before using another dash panel to move to the next temple. For some reason they landed on a large looped platform which they rushed over and dropped onto the next temple.

Questioning img why a temple would have such a structure, the two encouraged two Egg Pawns that were taking on a few Black Arms that were gaurding the first power gem.

As the enemies were cleared Pinkie and Shadow both jumped and performed a synchronised homing attack on the large green sphere, destroying it. Before the large temple could fall the Egg Pawns jumped onto a nearby battleship and Shadow and Pinkie jumped to the next temple.

As they were about to push forward a large alien jumped in front of them. The two took fighting stances, only to be surprised as a red beam of energy shot through the beasts chest, causing it to fall on its side. Looking up they saw Shard floating there with his arm cannon held out. "Was that good timing or what?"

Shadow: Sky Troops part 2

Pinkie and Shadow just looked at the newcomer in surprise. Shadow remembered seeing this robot in the years he fought alongside the Freedom Fighters, but only for a few moments at a time. Pinkie on the other hand was focusing on something else about Shard, specifically his design. "Look daddy, it's a metal you!" She said happily.

"Oh please, I'm hardly a metal copy of this science experiment, although I'm flattered...in a weird way I can't explain." Shard responded as he floated down and landed in front of the pair.

"She does have that effect on people..." Shadow said quietly. "I...didn't think you were still functioning after..."

"Metal Sonic totally kicked my metal ass? Yeah, I'm surprised that I was able to be rebuilt myself, considering my power gem was cracked." Shard looked to the gem on his chest and tapped it with his finger. "Turns out chaos drives have more uses than powering up Chao."

"So...what about you and Nicole?" Shadow asked carefully, knowing he was stepping into hostile territory with the question.

Shard looked away slightly and rubbed the back of his head nervously. "I...haven't gone to see her yet...I was pretty sure she ended up with Espio."

"She didn't, they just share a deep respect." Shadow stated calmly, causing Shard to look at him in shock.

"And you even bothered to learn this why?"

Shadow just pointed to Pinkie. "She keeps tabs on everybody, that means likes, dislikes and relationships."

"Hey! I have to know those things, if I didn't then I wouldn't know how to throw everyone their perfect party!" Pinkie complained as she teleported onto Shadies head. "You say it like it's creepy..." She gave Shadow a pout before looking back to Shard with a huge grin. "So, if you aren't a Metal Shadow slash Mega Man knock off, are you a Metal Sonic?"

"Yep, Metal Sonic 3.0 to be exact."

"Then what does that make the current Metal Sonic?" Shadow asked.

"I think it's somewhere in the forties."

Shadow just looked at the robot in shock. "We have destroyed that guy way too many times..."

As the two were about to enter another conversation Pinkie leaned down and came face to face with Shadow. "While I'd love to sit here and chat with a new friend need I remind you both that this thing is ALMOST TO STATION SQUARE?!"

Tge two just nodded wide eyed before they began rushing towards the next dash panel. Pinke jumped off of her fathers head the three jumped to the next temple. They landed on the roof of a smaller building and traveled down a long slop at high speeds until they came to a section that split two ways. "They end up on the same path anyways, Pinkie and I will go the upper path, you go down." Shard said as he lifted Pinkie off the ground and dropped her on the upper path.

Shadow nodded and skated down another smaller slope and reached a group of aliens and a large mounted gun aimed at one of Eggmans battleships. Using his homing attack Shadow managed to take down two of the aliens before using a chaos spear to kill a larger enemy. He charged up his spindash and shot towards the large gun, destroying it and allowing the battleship above to fire on the smaller temple without its rockets being shot out of the sky.

As he was running he saw that Pinkie and Shard had reached the dash panel and moved on as the platforms began to fall down. He boosted the energy output in his shoes and shot towards the panel and launched himself towards the next area.

The three met up before moving into the next larger temple with another energy gem to destroy. There was of course some Egg Pawns nearby who assisted in defeating the larger aliens armed with huge crystal swords. As the last enemy fell Shadow lifted one of the huge blades and lugged it like a javelin into the energy gem, destroying it and causing the temple to start breaking apart. The Egg Pawns were teleported out while the three busted through a stone wall and reached a conveniently placed rocket. Shadow grabbed the rockets handle while Pinkie latched onto one of his quils.

As the rocket launched towards the next platform Shard flew beside them and began shooting multiple aliens with his arm gun. The group had landed in the largest temple in a huge storm cloud, thunder and lightning surrounding them as they progressed. Pinkie stopped for a moment and looked from the platform they were on and to the next temple room that would require them to fly over to. She dashed over to Shadow, shoved him into her party canon and fired him over to the next room to save time. Shard grabbed her hood and flew her over.

They found Shadow with his face stuck in the stone while his body stuck out like a nail on a wall, completely stiff. "Maybe I should have used chaos control instead...eh, it's funny anyway." They pulled Shadow out of the stone and he shot a disapproving glare at Pinkie while slowly shaking his head, but his expression only caused Pinkie to giggle.

They destroyed the third gem and made their way to the final platform. Looking up they saw Eggmans flagship above them with cannons aimed right at the final crystal but were being stopped by the gunfire from below.

The trio quickly dealt with the gunners and various giant worms that came from underground and jumped up to the last crystal. Pinkie dusted it off slightly before aiming her party bazooka at it and blowing it to pieces. "Very good you three! Grab whatever you came for and I'll teleport you up here! Hurry while you still have a chance!" Eggman exclaimed over his loudspeaker.

The trio rushed to the goal ring and completed the stage...there was only one problem.

"There's no emerald here!?" Shadow and Pinkie yelled in anger as they facepalmed. Shard rolled his eyes and the three were beamed to safety ad the final temple crashed into a barren wasteland outside Station Squares border.

Shadow: Air Fleet

Shadow sat with his arms folded and his legs crossed, staring at the G.U.N. official that had called him in for a private meeting to discuss an important mission that he would be assigned to. "You will be by the President on one of our carriers acting as a bodyguard as we get him and many other civilians to a safe zone away from Central City and Station Square. Think you can handle that?" The man behind the desk asked.

"Well, I already have a mission that I need to get back to, I don't have time to play babysitter with the President. So, no, I'm not taking this mission." Shadow answered in a matter of fact tone as he moved to get out of his seat. "Now, if there's anything else you want to discuss with me please do so now because I'm going straight back to my current mission."

"Actually there is something else that my commanding officers have wanted me to mention." The man rubbed the back of his head nervously.

"Alright, continue." Shadow said quietly as he sat back down.

"Thank you." Taking a breath the man took out a few files. "From what we can tell, someone has been snooping around private and protected files in the G.U.N. mainframe. While we know it is one of our employees due to the access keys used, we have yet to hear of any leaked information, suggesting that it is merely for research purposes...but what alarmed us were the files they were looking through."

"And what exactly does G.U.N. have to hide that's so important?"

"Too much to tell Shadow, too much to tell..." Shaking his head, the man held out one of the top secret files to the hedgehog who took it and looked over the paper before his fell on a name.

"Maria Robotnik? Why would someone be going through her files?" Shadow asked, resisting the urge to open the file to see w hat was inside.

"We don't know, all we do know is that all the files opened are related to the ultimate Lifeform project." Taking the file back before Shadow could have a meltdown, the man cleared his throat and straightened himself. "I'm your own time, we want you to find out who is doing this and what they plan to do with this information."

Shadow immediately responded. "Gladly." With that said Shadow got out of his seat and began walking towards the door.

"Wait! I still need the mission filled by one of our high ranking agents!"

Shadow stopped in the doorway and smirked. "Well, I may not be able to do it...but I know where we can get some very eager volunteers."

2 days later, aboard the airship carrying the president

As the Black Arms had invaded the ship and began hunting the crew and all passengers, many were running for their lives as the two beings that every other trooper they had come across had warned them about were fast approaching. Been the G.U.N. soldiers had taken cover away from the carnage.

"Ahahahahahaha! Run! Run I'm coming for you!" Omega yelled as he ran forwards while wildly shooting his twin miniguns with Pinkoe on his shoulder blasting other aliens with her party bazooka, laughing while she did. The scene was like one of Michael Bay's wet dreams as explosion after explosion shook the ship. "Cry some more!" Omega yelled as he decked an alien trooper in the face with his gun and stepped on its head.

"Let me bring some fun into your life!" Pinkie exclaimed as she fired a party rocket at a crowd of fleeing aliens.

Two soldiers just watched the carnage from a balcony on one of the walls while relaxing on sun beds with drinks in their hands. "So, who do you think will blast slash befriend slash poke more aliens to death, Pinkie or Omega?" One asked.

"To be honest I don't think we can bet in this one, those two are causing the exact same amount of damage right now." The other answered while taking a sip of his drink. "But if you really want to. I'll go with Pinkie."

"You always get Pinkie..." The first soldier groaned.

"Hey slackers! Get back to work!" Omega yelled as he fired a rocket close to the soldiers causing them to leap out of their chairs begore grabbing their weapons and running to wherever they were needed. "Freakin armatures."

After blasting their way through the infested ship they came across a blue electrified grind rail that was blocked by a laser grid. Suddenly Dooms Eye appeared again. "No beings of flesh and blood my pass here-"

"Seriously dude! Get the message already!" Pinkie exclaimed as she grabbed Dooms Eye and slammed it into the ground. "Nanna, you know what to do!"

Omega rubbed his hands in delight as he grabbed a stick that had somehow found its way on board and levered it above the mutant starfish. "I'll love moments like this."

After a good few minutes of furious poking (cough!) Dooms Eye was nothing but a pile of dark,purple meat with various stab wounds. Pinkie puts slowly nodded her head approvingly. "If he still comes back to us after this I'm scheduling him an appointment with a therapist."

"Did you catch what he said? Something about flesh and blood not being able to grind here?" Omega asked as he grabbed the mutilated, walked out the large opening to the outside of the airship and tossed it into one of the turbines.

"Hey, you aren't flesh and blood, why don't you grind over?" Pinkie suggested as she hoped off of his shoulder and began examining the rail. "If you do, I can use my homing attack to follow you as long as you keep,a good enough speed so that I don't catch up since I won't be able to ride you over there, with you being metal and all."

"Eh, worth a shot, although I'm going to have very strong words for the genius that decided to put this in one of our ships."

Pinkie sat in the corner of the living room rocking herself back and forth with Omega I'm the same condition, having learned why that area was so well sealed off in the first place.

Rouge just watched them questioningly as Shadow added the fifth chaos emerald they had recovered to his collection. "What did they find in there anyway?"

"The crews hentai collection..." Shadow answered dryly.

Rouge didn't know whether to be laughing her ass off, cringing or be completely disgusted at the crew members of that ship. "Just how much did they see?"

"Everything..." The two in the corner said together as they rocked themselves.

"Well Shadow, looks like it's time to give Pinkie the talk."

"Oh boy, this should be fun..."

Shadow: Black Comet, Black Arms meeting

Aboard the Black Comet

A large crowd of the Black Arms stood in front of a large stage-like structure in the large comet that mainly consisted of dark purple rocks in the walls, a few walls and doors made of dark metal with lines of energy running through them and large patches of some kind of pulsing red and black substance.

They all watched as Black Doom took to the stage with Dooms Eye floating beside him, it's eye closed as his consciousness was currently in his main body. He turned to the crowd and waved his hands over them to silence their chatter so he could begin.

"My fellow Black Arms, the day of reckoning will soon be here, our special operative has five of the chaos emeralds in hand and the last two are in our possession! We will finally-"

"Um, my Lord, if I may I terupt you for just a moment." One of the aliens in the third row called out with his arm raised.

"What is it soldier? I was in the middle of my grand villainous speech."

"'Grand' my ass..." One other alien mumbled before getting nudged by another.

"Well, it's just that lately you've been acting very very strangely." The soldier continued, resulting in various nods from the crowd.

"Yes, the stress of war can have an effect on-"

"Wait what?! What happened to your total confidence of victory that you were clearly showing even though we're getting our asses handed to us?!" An alien in the back called out.

"Well I-"

"Sir, with all do respect I don't think you have an excuse for your actions other than sheer stupidity." The first soldier continued.

"H-How dare you-"

"Sir you keep acting as if Shadow is on our side when he clearly is not, we have had to perform the resurrection ritual on Dooms Eye six times this week! SIX TIMES!!! Shadow, Pinkie Pie and all of those other pastel coloured things have launched you into orbit, shoot you into one of our own airships causing it to explode, punted you straight out of several buildings and zones, at one point managed to get the Chao to believe you were a hat which was pretty adorable, used whatever weapon they had on hand to blast you, flushed you down several toilets, somehow managed to open a rift in space and time to allow some weird cat-like a line and his robot backpack to blast you continuously with hundreds of weapons who I swear had a purple pony with them at one point when Pinkie wasn't there, stabbed you on several occasions with wooden sticks and have made it abundantly clear that they have no intention of even considering coming to our side." The alien continued to point out, causing all of the soldiers present to just stare at Black Doom with pity, disapproval, shame and anger. "So, sir, what BRILLIANT idea do you have to turn Shadow to our side even after all of that? Even if we took Pinkie from him he'd just go into a rage and wipe us out completely."

Everyone just looked at him expectantly. Somehow no one had noticed Shard, Pinkie and Sally sitting on garden chairs with a bucket of popcorn and fizzy drinks watching the whole event unfold. "So when do you think they'll realise that Shadow has just stollen one of their two emeralds?" Shard asked as he stuffed his face with buttery popcorn, his systems turning the food into backup energy for if his crystal were ever to be damaged again.

"Give them a minute." Pinkie replied.

"More like give them a week, seriously how can these guys even be taken seriously by any race they come across?" Sally added while taking a sip of her Diet Coke.

"To be fair they've never encountered a planet with a Pinkie Pie before." Shard answered.

Pinkie stopped eating and went wide eyed. "Wait what did they say Ratchet had with him?"

"You learned his name?" Sally asked with a raised brow.

"Sure I did! We blew stuff up together with Nanny Omega, why wouldn't I learn their names? Also, they're video game characters in this universe. Oh right daddy and I have been meaning to go see the new movie!"

Moving back to the Black Arms, Black Doom just stood (floated? I don't know) there with a blank expression, not expecting to be called out by a mere soldier.

"You all dare question my tactics?"

"Oh those aren't tactics, you just can't accept the fact that our entire operation depends on Shadow." An alien in the front row stated.

"Can we take a moment to question his methods more? Like how to even get through one of our doors YOU HAVE TO KILL THE SOLDIERS GUARDING IT!!!" Another called out.

"Oh yeah! Hey, remember Alex? That soldier you had guard the emerald in Westopolis that was locked in a cage that could only be opened after you killed him? He had a family you know, met this nice maid drone awhile back, ended up having triplet spawn. Well guess what happened to him after you ordered him to protect that emerald that should have been brought straight to the comet!" A large alike enforcer called out.

Suddenly a Black Bull floated down. "Hey, remember me? The one Black Bull that you sent to fight Pinkie alone? I have no arms or legs man! All I have are my wings and these little stumps! How was I supposed to fight Shadow?!"

Black Doom didn't have time to answer as one of the aliens looked to a screen. "Oh, look at that! The mutant worms have started a revolution and have joined the humans! Was that part of your brilliant plan too?!"

"THEY WHAT?!?"

"Sign up with Black Doom instead of Black Death they said! He's got a better plan they said!"

"And we can't even sic Eclipse on them because he'd most likely be befriended by Pinkie Pie!"

"You know what?! Screw this, I'm out!" One of the aliens threw down his blaster and made his way towards the door, followed by every other alien present.

Black Doom just watched them all go, speechless after what had just happened. Only now was he realising how badly he was screwing up their plan.

When the room was empty, Pinkie, Shard and Sally walked up to the stage, Doom just slowly turning to look at them. "So, now may not be the best time to say that we've stolen one of your emeralds and are now going to make a run for it." Pinkie said nervously.

Doom just glared at the group, his hands clenching into fists.

"And we'll take that as our que to leave. Later Doomy." Pinkie said as she bounced off towards the Dior with her friends in tow. As they left Shard poked his head back into the room.

"By the way, you sound like a ripoff of Doctor Claw, just saying. Later moron." With that, he was gone.

Doom just roared in anger and slammed his first into one of the nearby walls, causing it's outer shell to completely shatter. "That's it! This ends now!"

Shadow: The not-so-grand finale part 1

"That was so awesome!" Pinkie exclaimed as she sat atop Omegas head as they exited the movie theatre with Shadow, Rouge and Vector.

"I agree. Although the pacing was slightly flawed it was still a good movie all the same." Shadow added while wiping the popcorn off of his chest fur. "Every damn time..."

"Maybe I should get into this Ratchet and Clank series." Omega mumbled to himself, only to have Pinkie bend over and look him in the eyes upside down.

"You'd love it Nanny! It's got tons of weapons, pretty explosions and hordes and hordes of enemies to mow down with glorious instruments of death!" The pink balk of energy explained with glee.

Rouge leaned close to Shadow while looking at Pinkie worriedly. "I think maybe we should limit her interactions with Omega from now on...she's getting way too into violent things lately."

Shadow just shrugged and took a sip of his cola that he had brought out from in the theatre. "I don't think that will help, we're already going into life threatening situations on a daily basis with those same things involved, there's no helping her, not that she needs help of course."

"Why oh why am I the only responsible parent?" Rouge asked while rubbing her face with both hands.

"Says the one that has been teaching her daughter how to steal jewels and other items of value." Shadow quipped before ducking to avoid a slap on the back of the head. "Nice try Rouge."

"Omega, if you would."

"With pleasure." With that said, Omega punched Shadow full force, sending him flying down the street.

Pinkie just laughed as she watched her father peeling himself off of a brick wall. "I hate you Omega..." Shadow grumbled.

"I love you too emo-hog."

Meanwhile

Eggman smiled as he watched his new Black Arms soldiers getting to work on finishing the construction of his new base. After they all had left Black Doom to fend for himself, Eggman had taken in half of the army to use as soldiers and to give them a purpose with work familiar to them, as they were designed to take orders but after being exposed to Pinkie they had gained individual personalities and free will. Although there was a sense of comfort with being told what to do, so they were more than happy to serve under Eggman for the time being.

The rest of the Black Arms had either began to develop their own communities around the world. While they would eventually need to feed again, they had enough energy to go on without feeding on living Lifeforms until Eggman, Tails and many other scientists could find an alternative source of food for them. The most successful attempt so far was Chao Fruit, having somewhat life giving properties and other substances that naturally grew in the fruit, the aliens that had tried them so far seem to have been satisfied and the tree seeds were being distributed to the communities of the aliens.

Before being allowed to settle on earth the aliens had to pinkie promise not to eat any humans while they were there. Of course Pinkie was unaware of the aliens true intentions for coming to earth in the first place she still held them to their promise, and there was no alien alive that was brace enough to break it.

"The aliens settling in ok?" Shard asked as he walked into the control room.

Eggman chuckled as he watched one of his larger robots having an arm wrestle with one of the huge aliens. "Yes, they've adapted very quickly and they are getting along perfectly with the Egg Pawns and Badnicks."

"Well this has to be beneficial to you, your workforce doubled and you have all of this new land to create Eggmanland."

Eggmans smile widened at the thought. "You know something, I've been thinking of turning Eggmanland into an actual theme park instead of a series of death rides."

Shard just raised a brow and looked to one of the many screens, detailing new plans for rides and amusements. "So...your plans of returning to evil are out the window?"

Eggman shrugged and set his hand in one of the control panels. "While I do miss being evil, there are things in this world that should just be left alone. The world is messed up enough without me adding to the mix, perhaps it's time to start fixing the world instead. And what better way to start fixing the world than to bring joy to the people?"

Shard just shook his head and sighed. "It's not that, I know it isn't."

Eggman let his smile falter before it became nothing more than a frown.

"It's because of Pinkie, and what happened with your parents. Isn't it?"

Eggman sighed and turned around, walkimg towards the door. "I'd be lying if I said it wasn't."

Meanwhile...again

Black Doom sat alone in the main chamber of the Black Commet which was currently settled on Mars. "I will not stand for this any longer!" Doom slammed his fist into the side of the chamber, causing it to shake due to the strength behind the strike. "Those foolish Black Arms have no idea what they're doing! We were supposed to enslave this pitiful rave and devour them, not befriend and coexist with them!"

As he slumped back in his throne Doom sighed and looked around the empty chamber.

"Oh well...at least I still have one of the Chaos Emeralds." As soon as he said this Shadow casually walked across the room while whistling and tossing the final emerald in his hand.

"I need to borrow this. I'm not returning it. Chaos Control!" With a flash the black hedgehog was gone.

Doom just stared wide eyed at the spot of which Shadow had teleported out from. He clenched his fists in anger and rise up into the air. "THAT DOES IT!!!"

He teleported to the main control room of the Commet and began to pilot it off of the red planet.

"I'LL TAKE THE EMERALDS BY FORCE AND TELEPORT THE COMMET DOWN TO THAT MISERABLE PILE OF DIRT AND DO WHAT WE CAME HERE TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!"

Author's Notes:

Yeah, the next chapter will probably be the last of the Shadow the Hedgehog game arc.

The next will most likely be my own version of the Sonic 06 story without the retcon ending as it won't reach final story.

Either that or do a bit for Riders before jumping into Sonic Unleashed.

Shadow: The not-so-grand finale part 2

"Well, that's all of them." Shadow said dryly as he set the red chaos emerald down with the other six, all of the emeralds now in his possession.

"Wow, they sparkle when they're all together!" Pinkie sat in front of the mystical gems as she poked at them curiously with her hoof, Gummy standing still on top of the green emerald.

Omega was holding Rouge in his hand as she desperately tried to reach for the emeralds to add to her treasury. "For the last time Rouge you can't have the emeralds." He stated tiredly.

"But they're so beautiful and shiny! I must have them!"

Omega shook his head in disapproval before walking towards the front door, the flailing bat still in his grasp. "If you'll excuse me I'm going to take Rouge to rehab to try and get rid of this gem addiction. Later."

"No! Pinkie! Don't let him take me!"

Pinkie just giggled and waved as Omega walked off. "Bye Mommy! By Nanny!"

Shadow just chuckled as he watched the pair fade out over the hill at the top of the street. "And here I thought Rouge had outgrown her obsession."

"I think it's funny." Pinkie chimed in as she plopped herself down on Shadows head after jumping up.

"Of course you do Pinkie, but I don't want to have to deal with another situation of Rouge stealing the Master Emerald from Knuckles again." Groaned Shadow as he looked down to the gems. "What was the point of even collecting these? We aren't going to get answers from Black Doom anymore and the most we can do with them is advanced chaos control and go super."

"Well, maybe it's best that we have them and not G.U.N. or Doomy Gloomy, Eggman would be more trust worthy. Why not give the emeralds to him?" Pinkie suggested.

"No, I'd rather keep them in my possession."

Pinkie just looked down at her father confused. "Why? Eggman can get far more use out of them than we can."

Shadow stared at the gems in a trance-like state. "I don't know...something is just telling me to...keep them...here..." Suddenly, he grabbed his forehead as another stream of headaches and flashbacks flooding into his mind.

Pinkie lept off of his head and immediately slapped him in the face. "Darn, that usually works..." She held both sides of his head and looked into his pain filled eyes...his pupils the size of mere dots on a page as the white of his eyes became slightly bloodshot and he began to sweat. "Daddy? Daddy snap out of it! Didn't you take your meds today!?"

"Ahahahahahaha!" Black Dooms voice echoed through the room as Shadow fell onto his knees while clutching his forehead. Black Doom rose out of the ground and grabbed the Emeralds. "You fools, now the Prosperity Ritual can begin!"

Gummy jumped off of the emeralds and onto Pinkies back. She looked from her father to the creature that was stealing the things that could be the secret to his lost memories. "You! What did you do to my daddy!?"

"Idiotic equine, I have not done anything to this miserable traitor. He is realising his reason for being, remembering a life that is not his own. Chaos, Control!" With a flash of light, Doom was gone, as were the emeralds.

"D-Damn it..." Shadow shakily got to his feet, only to fall onto his hands and knees while his limbs began to tremble. "Doctor...Maria...Ark...Eclipse Cannon..." Was all he could say before he passed out onto the cold floor.

"Daddy!" Pinkie began shaking him furiously, even getting Gummy to like his face to try to wake him up, but it was no use. Her mane began to deflate once more, her fur getting slightly darker in tone. She glared at the spot that Black Doom had risen from and looked out a window, seeing the red and black clouds moving in as the Black Commet was teleported down into the city of Station Square.

She pulled out her phone and dialled up a certain number. "How may I be of assistance?" A robotic voice asked from the other end.

"Metal Sonic, do you still have all that data stored up from before I arrived here?"

The various citizens of the city all ran for their lives, feeling the large roots that so mercilessly chased them down through the streets. As a woman fell over she looked up in horror as one of the vines from the Black Comment raced towards her. As it was about to grab onto her it was cut in half, causing it to fall to the ground.

"You're safe now ma'am, please get far away from here." Espio assured the woman while helping her up, throwing another shuriken start at an approaching root. Meanwhile Mighty and Ray began pushing a large section of the roots back with a combined spindash.

Bark the Polar Bear and Mina the Mongoose worked on setting up a blocked down the Main Street of the city to slow the roots down while Knuckles and Vector held them off. The many Black Arms soldiers that had taken residence in the city aided in the effort, using their numbers to halt the roots progress.

The rest of the mobians were either helping evacuate civilians or fighting against the roots coming from the later comet. Omega stood on top of a building facing off against Black Doom himself. The robot blasted the alien with everything he had, Doom firing waves of purple energy from his eyes.

The two were in a stalemate until Doom used the emeralds and threw Omega into the air with great force. "I have had it with you throwing me into the sky! Now, it's my turn!" With a swipe of his hand, Omega was sent hurdling through the air towards the side of Angel Island.

"SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-" Before Omega could hit the side of the floating island, he was caught by a large metal claw. "What the hell?!"

"Hey, Doom'n'Gloom! Over here!" Omega heard Pinkie call out from above him. Looking up he felt his mechanical heart sink as he saw the state his precious little pony was in. Her mane straight and dull, her eyes filled with a lust for battle and her smile nowhere to be seen. She held a black version of her Party Bazooka in one hoof and the trigger for her party cannon in the other.

Black Doom growled at the pony and her companion. "What is this?! Where did you find that...thing?!"

"You know what they say Doom Guy, if at first you don't succeed..."

"...USE A GIANT MECHA DRAGON!!!"

"I'm...so...proud." Omega sniffed as he looked up at Pinkie.

Metal Overlord growled in anticipation, while Pinkie only stared into Dooms soul with nothing but contempt. "You'll pay fir taking away everyone's smiles...you'll pay for trying to destroy my home...you'll pay for what you've done to my daddy."

Shadow: The not-so-grand finale part 3

Black Doom could only stare in fear as he looked into the eyes of the one that would end his life. If anyone had told him that he would be defeated by a tiny pink pony riding a huge robot hedgehog dragon thing he would have destroyed them for such an insult to his now none-existent pride.

Metal Overlord set Omega down on Angel Islands edge with Pinkies command. Nearby Mecha Sonic stood with the Master Emerald nearby in case he was needed while Silver Sonic began cutting through the shell of the Black Comet with his spindash, making slow but steady progress into the hull.

Metal Overlord growled as his eyes gleamed red, waiting patiently for Pinkies order to attack. All of the Black Arms below pulled out various alien weapons and aimed up at Black Doom, alongside the G.U.N. soldiers and mechs.

As if things couldn't get any worse for Doom, Eggman's fleet broke through the cloud layer and all weapons systems were locked onto him, with Shard aiming his arm cannon at him while Eggman jumped out of his flagships docking bay in one of his many mech suits. As everyone stood in silence Eggman leaned out of his seat towards Shard. "Is it just me or has the world gotten a whole lot safer since Sonic went missing and Pinkie and Shadow took his place?"

"She's got the whole world, even it's villains, together against one person who she sees as a threat, anyone dumb enough to try and take over now is either stupidly brave or has a death wish. So yeah, I'd say the world is in good hands...er..hooves."

Doom just looked frantically around him, finding no possible means of escape except for...the emeralds. He still had the emeralds. "Mwahahaha! Fools, I still control the emeralds, with these, I am invincible!"

"Stop him before he transforms and not afterwards!" Eggman shouted as he used his mechs ranged weapons to fire at Doom, everyone else following suit. Pinkie began unleashing a barrage of black party bombs and rockets while Metal Overlord fired a huge beam of dark blue energy from his mouth.

The attacks did nothing as the emeralds circled Black Doom, craeting a magical shield around him as he transformed. "You will all pay for this. Humans, robots and even you traitorous Black Arms! All will bow before me or suffer!"

With a bright flash of light, Black Doom was gone, and so were the emeralds. "Well, at least he's learning and not leaving the things that could be used to beat him just floating around for us to get to them." Shard commented dryly.

Pinkie glared at Black Dooms original position and searched the skies for her enemy, only finding a large silhouette in the clouds.

"We are going to do what we came here to do! All of us! Black Arms, rise up and join me!" The large creature boomed out in a loud voice, almost like thunder.

"Nah, I don't think we will." A lone alien replied as the rest began to nod in agreement. "I mean, what we came here to do is just messed up if you think about it."

"What were you guys planning on doing here anyway?" Pinkie asked, her curiousity only distracting her for a moment before she turned back towards the silhouette.

"We are here to enslave the humans of this world! They are an excellent energy source for us! We will enslave them, breed them and feast off of them as livestock!" Look it up, this was their actual plan.

Everyone present either stopped themselves from throwing up, looked away in disgust, shook their heads in disapproval or quickly aimed whatever weapon the had at the huge silhouette.

Pinkies left eye twitched as she gripped her party bazooka tighter. "You...meanie...you...monster!" Mecha Sonic reacted quickly and threw the Master Emerald to Pinkie. Once it landed beside her on Metals head she placed a hoof onto it and began to draw energy from it. She began to change colour, her fur became white as her mane became golden, her eyes turning red while she sprouted wings. Once the transformation was complete she set her weapons down and punched her front hooves together as she began to float slightly. "EVERYONE!!!" She called out, earning everyone's attention. "You all deal with the comet, Doom is mine!" She growled as she flapped her wings, taking to the skies and shooting off towards Black Doom with Metal Overlord follow my close behind her.

"You heard the pony! Get that comet!" Eggman yelled as he and his forces turned their attention to the Black Comet.

As Rouge was about to fly towards the comet she looked up at Pinkie with a look of pride and determination. "Give him hell sweetie."

"DOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!" Pinkie exclaimed as she broke through the clouds to reveal Devil Doom.

Pinkie shot forward and punched Devil Doom right in the eye, causing him to cry out in pain. Multiple balls of rock formed around Doom which began to fire beams of yellow energy at Pinkie. Of course all these did if the hit her was knock her back slightly.

Metal Overlord rose out of the clouds and clamped onto Dooms arms with his claws while blasting him with various attacks from his body while digging into his flesh with his claws.

Doom used chaos control to free himself, reappeared behind Metal and punched him in the back of the head begore grabbing onto his wings and began to tear one off.

Pinkie shot forwards and collided with Dooms hand, causing him to cry in pain and let go of Metal who instantly turned around and grabbed one of Dooms head in his claw and began to crush it. Dooms Eye fled from that head and into the other to avoid being destroyed.

Pinkie spotted him and used chaos control to teleport in front of the eye before it could reach the head. "This time, this mutant starfish is gonna stay dead!" She grabbed it in her hooves and held it close, building up her anger as her body sparked with red electricity. "Chaos...BLAST!!!" A huge wave of red energy washed out of Pinke in an explosion that converged onto Dooms Eye, causing it to melt away and cry out in pain.

Metal Overlord then forced one of the mouths open and shoved his cannon claw into it before firing, causing multiple explosions on the inside of the now near dead monster.

"Metal! Put him on the Commet, I have an idea!" Pinkie called out.

Metal nodded, grabbed the beast and threw it into the Black Commet which was close to falling apart. Pinkie shot down to underneath the Commet and placed her hooves I'm the shell.

"Chaos control!" Using her remaining energy Pinkie teleported the comet out of the city and into space, just facing the bottom of the space colony ark. Doom opened his remains eye see the Eclipse Cannon on the space colony come to life, aiming right at him.

"I really hate that pony..."

The cannon fired and shot right through Doom and finished off the comet. Inside the space colony Pinkie still in her super form while Sge switched off the Eclipse Cannon again, the chaos emeralds floating around her, keeping her energy up to stable levels. With the cannon once again deactivated she teleported back down to earth in a field next to Westopolis.

The emeralds tell and she returned to her normal state, except she was exhausted. She collapsed onto her side and looked up at the sky, staying awake long enough to see the sun breaking through the now fading black clouds. She smiled, feeling relieved that the deed was done and the conflict was over. With one last smile she fainted, the last thing she heard where the words from her father.

"I'm so proud of you Pinkie Pie."

And so ends the first story arc with the game Shadow The Hedgehog.

Next up is a break chapter then, and bare with me on this, Sonic 06. And before you sharpen your pitchforks let me explain. It is going to be a modified version that only follows Shadows storyline. Yes, Elise will be there but like Omega I will be giving her an actual personality. And with Eggman no longer and issue, she won't be getting kidnapped 24/7.

I'm doing it because I want to introduce Silver and Blaze into the story as well as Mephiles. Riders will either be mentioned or a small few chapters will be dedicated to it.

Recovery

Pinkie slowly opened her eyes to see the ceiling of a hospital room, at first she was confused as to why she would be in the hospital but then remembered the events that took place before she fell unconscious. She heard the sound of several familiar voices, all of which were blurred out as her she was still in the process of waking up, unable to really see or hear perfectly. After a few moments her senses came back to her and she began to sit up.

"Shhh everyone, she's waking up." She heard Amy say, causing all the other voices to silence themselves.

Once she was in a sitting position on the hospital bed she looked in front of her, seeing all of her friends and family cramed into the one room, those that could fly hovered in the air for convenience and fir a better view of their precious little pony. Shadow was at her bed side with Omega. Tails Doll was laying at the end of her bed with Cheese the Chao. Silver and Mecha Sonic floated outside the window to the room with Metal Overlord peaking in behind them.

As Pinkie was about to say hellos to everyone and ask where Rouge was, they all heard yelling from down the hall. "WHERE IS MY BABY?!?!"

"I-In the bottom left room ma'am!" They heard a frightened doctor answer.

Suddenly Rouge burst in the door, knocking a good amount of those present down like bowling pins before shooting over to Pinkie and hugging her. "Oh my little baby, thank God you're alright!" She exclaimed in joy and relief as she hugged Pinkie tightly into her chest.

"She's in her 'mamma mode' again..." Omega commented dryly while Shadow facepalmed. There had been instances where Rouge became a very, vert protective and worrying mother, usually when Pinkie was hurt or upset.

"Rouge, let her go, others want to see her and she needs to breathe." Shadow ordered as he rolled his eyes.

"NO! You'll all get your turn, let me comfort my baby!"

"Omega..." Omega was one step ahead of Shadow as he was right behind Rouge. He grabbed her torso in one of his hands and pulled her off of Pinkie while holding her in place. She squirmed violently before Shadow stuck a needle in her arm, causing her to gradually lessen her struggling before falling unconscious. "Thank God for sedatives."

"A little overboard but nonetheless enjoyable to watch." Eggman laughed as he walked forward.

"I thought you were done getting enjoyment at our expense." Tails said with a raised brow.

"I am, but there are still memories of each of you messing with me or being a pain in my side. Think of it like a form of revenge."

"Is that why I found a suicide pill in my coffee?!" Vector exclaimed.

"No that was the work of Tails Doll, he thought that the coffee was for Charmy, he wanted revenge on Chsrmy for dressing up like him to scare people." Eggman explained. "I wouldn't do anything like that. I've grown to actually tolerate you people."

Pinkie just smiled at everyone and yawned. "So, what did I miss while I was out?" She asked as she stretched her hooves, noticing Gummy poking his head out of the top of her mane, causing her to smile brightly at the sight of her pet who she brought into a hug.

Eggman took out a piece of paper, experiment this kind of question, making this the only time Pinkie was predictable. "Well, the humans, mobians and Black Arms have been busy repairing Westopolis and healing the injured. Also, the president is planning to throw us all a banquet since we all helped in saving the planet, they want you and Shadow there as the guests of honour and to accept a medal. Also, the government has began negotiating with me into having Eggmanland become part of the United Nations because of my assistance in the larger battles. Also, you have a fan club now, so that's a thing."

"Really? How many members?" Pinkie asked enthusiastically.

Eggman and the rest pointed to the TV screen near the ceiling. Looking up she saw a broadcast of an entire crowd of people, mobians and aliens all cheering her name, wearing pink t-shirts or holding signs up to say thank you.

"O-Oh...wow...that's a lot of people." Pinkie responded while blushing a little, a little unsure of how to feel about that.

"With you and Metal defeating Black Doom like that and destroying the comet, the world has recognised you as their hero now. Plus, you being adorable only makes them love you more." Amy said cheerfully as she looked up at the screen.

Shadow walked back to Pinkues side and ruffled her mane. "I'm so proud of you Pinkie. Not many parents can say that their daughter saved the world."

"Well Vanilla can, and basically all of our parents can as well." Mighty pointed out.

"I said 'not many.' We're all exceptions to that, I was trying to compliment my daughter." Shadow replied while glaring at Mighty who has ruined the moment. "This is why you are the uncle no one likes."

"I like him." Pinke said happily.

"You like everybody."

"No I don't.

"Name one person you don't like then."

"Kim Kardashian." Everyone just looked at her in shock and confusion. "What? She's not a nice person and she fakes almost every emotion she feels, I hate that!"

"I don't think you should say something like that about a celebrity." Tails said uneasily.

"It's the Internet, who cares?" Sassy Pinkie is best Pinkie.

After a few days Pinkie was released from the hospital and got straight to cheering up those that were injured or hard at work. With everyone's abilities the reconstruction of the damaged Station Square began to flow more smoothly and efficiently.

Eggmans robots were dispatched to help with the repairs while also constructing local feeding grounds for the Black Arms which were large gardens with hundreds of Chao Fruit trees and special vending machines with recently invented alternative food sources for the aliens that were being mass produced.

As everything was returning to normal, Shadow felt like the family could use a vacation after all of the previous events. So he began looking into nice, peaceful locations to visit. As he was searching through a travel magazine he looked to a certain advertisement. "Soleanna huh? The City of Water. Upcoming festival to celebrate the sun God Solaris. Looks interesting."

Meanwhile, as Eggman was walking while tightening a few screws on a prototype Cubot (the Cubot series came before the Orbot series) while walking through some acient ruins to find more Chao fruit seeds he tripped over something. Groaning he got up and looked down, ready to kick a lone peddle away. But what he found made him stop. He reached down and took hold of the strange sceptre which seemed to radiate with dark energy. "Well...what have we got here?"

Now that things are calming down it looks like our heroes can rest for awhile...

Hah! Let's see how long that lasts.

06: Vacation

3 weeks after Black Dooms defeat, coast of Soleanna

Just a few miles off the coast of Soleanna a cruise ship could be seen. Shadow stood on the main deck with his arms folded, looking out at the city of water with a small smile, sunglasses resting on his forehead. The sun shone brightly, only a few clouds in the clear blue sky. Already he was getting that feeling you get when you're on vacation, a sense of calmness and joy, away from the stress and worry of everyday life. He took in a breath of the ocean air and sighed happily. "I can already tell this is going to be very pleasant."

"You're telling me." Sally said as she walked up to Shadow, wearing a short blue t-shirt and white short shorts with sandals on her feet. "The trip here was amazing, I've never been so relaxed before, and we haven't even landed in Soleanna yet."

Shadow gave a small smile before turning back to the view. "Well that's good to hear, after all that's happened I think we all needed something to take our minds off of things."

"Thanks for letting me come with you guys, I know you wanted to have a family vacation so I'm worried that I'm intruding."

Shadow shook his head and placed his hand on her shoulder. "You aren't intruding, besides you've been dealing with a lot lately, if we didn't bring you Pinkie would have forced you to come anyway." He chuckled slightly.

"Where is she anyway?"

"With Omega."

Meanwhile on the top of the ship, Pinkie smirked while Omega retracted one of his claws. She jumped into the now open arm and grinned as Omega aimed up into the air. "You ready Pinkie?" He asked.

"Yep, time to make me fly!" Pinkie answered with enthusiasm.

Rouge flew up to the two and frowned at the sight. "What are you two up to now?"

"We're gonna see how far I can go when shot out of Nanny's arm cannons." Pinkie answered happily. "Alright Nanna, let's do this!"

"Wait stop! She'll land in the ocean! She can't swim!"

Omega ignored Rouge. "Alright, here we go."

Rouge began to panic. "No stop!"

"Do it!"

"Doin' it!"

*boom!*

With a small blast Pinkie was sent flying through the air, giggling happily as she spread her hooves to act like wings. As she flew she began to decend. She smiled, took out a few balloons and quickly crafted a small boat to land on. She held onto the small balloon boat and hit the water, laughing as she did with Gummy latched onto her back.

Rouge sighed in relief before smiling, seeing her daughter happy causing her and everyone else within earshot of her laughter to feel happy. Even that one depressed teen that said he didn't want to go on vacation with his family but really did started to feel happy, and that is one hell of an accomplishment. "You could have told me she had a way of landing safely."

Omega just looked at her from the corner of his eye. "I could have, but then I wouldn't have gotten to see your face when I launched her." He teased with amusement. Rouge growled at him before turning away. "Also, you need to learn that she can handle herself. She defeated Devil Doom and saved the Earth at twelve years old for crying out loud."

"I know that, I just worry is all, I'm a mother, it's my job."

Omega pondered her words for a moment before realising something. At first he was going to be upfront and ask her, but didn't want the topic to ruin the vacation before it really started, so he left it alone and focused on Pinkie happily paddling back to the ship on her tiny balloon boat.

Meanwhile in Eggmanland

Eggman stood staring at the sceptre he had acquired during his search for Chao Fruit Tree seeds. The object floated in place in a secure capsule while Eggman ran tests and studied it with his various robots and aliens working around the facility, with only Shard and Tails Doll with him in the room.

"There seems to be a consciousness inside the sceptre...and it isn't dark energy inside of their, it's similar energy to what Chaos had witchin him...but different at the same time." He stated as he used his machines to analyse the energy within.

"You think it could be related to Chaos?" Shard asked.

"It's a theory, considering it was near one of the Chaos Temples, however its energy is too different and unpredictable to be directly related to him. It's like...whatever is in this sceptre is...thinking. From what the scans have shown its acting similarly to a brain." Eggman answered as he studied it closer.

As he looked closely he saw what appeared to be the symbol of a strange winged being engraved onto the sceptre.

"That's the emblem of the sun God Solaris! Of course!" He exclaimed in excitement before grabbing the sceptre and turning towards the exit. "Shard, tell the control centre to prepare the Egg Carrier, we're going to Soleanna!"

Tails Doll floated behind his creator while Shard smiled. "So we will be seeing Pinkie sooner than we thought? Good enough reason for me to go to that place. Something about it just feels...unfinished." He shook his head and flew out the door towards the main control centre to carry out his orders.

Meanwhile in the sceptre, the being inside caught a glimpse of a photo in the lab. One of Shadow, Eggman, Rouge and Pinkie. "Shadow...The Hedgehog..."

06: Arriving in Soleanna

"Wow, this place is pretty." Pinkie smiled as she, Shadow, Sally, Omega and Rouge all walked through the streets of Soleanna. The simplicity of the buildings and local architecture calming ther senses, a nice break from their general city life. While they did spend a good time out in the zones, they still enjoyed the simpler parts of the world. They were there to relax, and already they began to feel calm, although Pinkie remained her hyperactive self, though she contained herself for the sake of the other four.

They looked around and noticed a few Black Arms had settled into the town, a large alien helping and elderly man with large nets filled with fish. One of the alien works giving a few young children and mobians rides on its back.

"It's good to see them being accepted into society, it seems they've found peace here." Rouge commented as she an alien sitting with a few men at a bar laughing with them and getting along.

"Yeah, although I'm not suprised that a few parts of the world haven't really accepted them." Shadow sighed as he remembered hearing about an entire villiage of Black Arms had to be airlifted out to another, less hostile country.

"Can we not talk about that? We're here to enjoy ourselves, not ponder over racism." Omega brought the conversation to a halt as to prevent any risk of argument, also to avoid upsetting Pinkie.

"Yeah...sorry..." Rouge and Shadow apologised.

Omega nodded in satisfaction before going back to admiring his surroundings. Pinkie skipped along happily, waving at anyone who looked her way, and made sure to run up to every Black Alien she came across to give them a hug or to say hi, having grown fond of the creatures.

Wanting to get a better view of everything, Pinkie jumped up onto Omegas head and sat down. To have a bit of fun with her, Omega began to spin his head around, starting slowly but soon become faster and faster, using his optic sensors he had built into his chest with the help of Tails, in case his head was ever damaged, to see while he spun Pinkie around. Pinkie just began laughing in excitement as she held onto Omegas head tightly.

Sally just watched the pair and smiled warmly. "Those two seem to really enjoy each other's company don't they?"

"They're essentially best friends, he's like her fun uncle." Rouge explained as she pulled out her phone and filmed the two of them playing together.

"I see, doesn't she have any friends her own age though?"

Shadow shook his head. "Not really, I mean she's friends with nearly everyone in Station Square and Westopolis, but she's never really close to them. There's her Chao in her Chao Garden, but I don't really think that counts. So no, she doesn't, and to be honest I don't think that's a bad thing." He explained while lifting Pinkie off of Omegas head and placing her on his own before she threw up or became too dizzy.

"yeah, I love all of our friends, I'm not really bothered by age, as long as they're friendly." Pinkie added as she lay on her fathers head.

"I see." Sally pet Pinkie on the head before turning around and letting the group continue their walk around the city of water.

A few hundred miles off the coast of Soleanna

The Egg Carrier flew high in the air towards its destination. Eggman and Shard stood on the flight deck, taking in the view of the ocean below. Eggman took a sip from a cup of coffee while Shard toyed with his arm cannon settings. "So, what exactly is your plan for when we get to Soleanna?" Shard asked with interest.

"Well, we won't be flying directly into the city, we're going to just pass through and land close to the ruins of the old castle. I'll have to speak with the ruler later, it's Princess Elise right?"

"Yeah, she's recently become of age and is now taking her place as the ruler of this place." Shard explained as he pulled up her file in his database.

"What about the King and Queen?"

"Apparently her mother died during birth, and her father died in an accident during an experiment involving Solaris."

Eggman froze as he heard this. "So...she's an orphan." He spoke quietly as he set his coffee down and looked to his locket. "Shard, get someone to send a message to her, I need to meet her as soon as I can."

Shard nodded knowingly and walked out off of the flight deck to carry out the request.

Eggman sighed and rubbed his moustache. "and here I thought this trip wouldn't get me emotional..."

Pinkie walked with a skip in her step as she began to tour the town, with Gummy resting in her hair. While the others got the hotel room sorted and unpacked she had decided to get to know the area. She stopped for a moment as she felt a familiar spark of energy. "What the? There's a Chaos Emerald here?"

She looked around but couldn't find the gem hiding anywhere. She began walking, finding the direction where the connection to the gem felt strongest. She came to a stop as she looked up, finding where the gem was located. She stared at the large castle built into the mountain next to the town, the connection telling her that it was inside its walls.

"Think the Princess had the emerald Gummy?"

Gummy stared blankly as he licked his eye, probably having some kind of inspirational monologue about physical possessions and life.

"Alright, I'll take your word for it." Pinkie just continued walking until she spotted a few barrels stacked on top of each other with a few pieces of fruit on the tops of them. "Oh, looks like a few fell out, guess I should put them in before someone steals them."

As he hopped over and picked up an orange, she jumped up and reached for the lid of the barrel. However when she only touched the barrel it, along with the others, exploded and fruit was sent flying everywhere. Pinkie just stood there wide eyed with her hoof held out.

"Wha...uh..." She began walking away from the scene in confusion.

Meanwhile a figure watched her from behind a screen in a room filled with different screens and controls. "So...this is the one who saved the planet from the Black Arms? I see Uncle Ivo has taken a liking to her. Pitiful fool giving up world domination for such a pathetic creature."

The figure turned around and smiled evilly.

"Well then, let's have a little bit of fun with this shall we?"

06: Wave Ocean part 1

"Hey daddy! Check this out!" Pinkie called from another end of the street. Shadow quickly caught up with his daughter near a large bell tower overlooking the ocean.

"What is it Pinks?" He asked looking around.

"It's this store, come see what it has for sale!" Pinkie exclaimed in excitement as she zipped over to a small shop with one man behind the counter with some sort of floating yellow computer monitor beside him.

"Hey there, take a look at any items we have in store." The man greeted as the monitor powered up, showing a list of items, some out of stock and others just normal items, but there were a few that caught Shadows interest.

"Memory Shards? What are those?" He asked with curiousity.

"Those are gem shards filled with chaos energy, each gem either grants or increases chaos powers to the user, although you'll need certain qualifications to purchase them." The man explained.

"What kind of qualifications?" Shadow asked as he looked to how many rings he had brough with him.

"Like papers from the government or government ID cards."

"Would being an agent of G.U.N. cut it?" Pinkie asked for her father while she looked through some of the more usual items.

"Sure. Look, I know who you are and what you two have done for the planet, so I can skip the whole process of qualifications and I'm sure my manager won't mind if I give the worlds greatest heroes a little discount."

"Awww, thanks." Pinkie said as she smiled brightly.

"Alright, I guess I'll take a Memory Shard." The man nodded and handed a strange red gem over to Shadow who then handed over a bag of rings. "What are you getting Pinkie?"

"I'm getting tiny aviator glasses for Gummy." Gummy poked his head out of Pinkies mane wearing sunglasses before slowly retreating back into the hair. As the two were about to walk away Pinkie saw something hidden behind the man in the store. She hopped up onto the counter and raised a brow. "Is that a plushie of me?"

The man chuckled nervously. "Yeah...it is. I'm a...big fan."

Pinkie smiled and planted a tiny peck on his cheek. "Well, have a nice day!" Pinkie sang as she walked off towards her father.

The man just blinked and shook his head. "Man...and here I thought working as a store clerk wouldn't make me happy..."

Once they were in a clear area, Shadow held onto the Memory Shard and powered up. Soon his body was coated in a dark red aura that layered over his body. "Sweet, new power."

"Hey, I think I saw something in the description of that things, something about an ability called Chaos Snap or something." Pinkie pointed out as she sat on top of a barrel to watch her father, a barrel was about to explode beside her but she punched it with her hoof. "Nope, no more glitches."

Shadows body returned to normal, mich to his confusion. "Hmm, I guess it only lasts so long." He pocketed the gem and looked out at the nearby ocean. "Hey, isn't that the Egg Carrier?"

Pinkie perked up and looked in the direction that Shadow was pointing, pulling a pair of benochulers out of her main to get a better look. "It is! Eggman is near Soleanna!" She yelled joyously before activating her hover shoes reach to skate across the water to meet him.

Before she could leap off the barrel Shadow stopped her."Now Pinkie, you know what the hover shoes are like on water. I think there's a zone over there, why don't you use it to catch up to him?" He suggested as he pointed over to a strange mirror standing on in a small cave across the river, with a long trail of rings leading to it.

"Ok! I wonder what the zones are like here." With that Pinkie was off. She jumped up to the ring trail and used a light speed dash(1) to cross the river. Once at the large circular mirror she tilted her head before jumping up and touching the surface, being transported to a new area. However...the teleportation was not instant.

Wave Ocean

After a ridiculous amount of time wasted on the slow teleportation, Pinkie popped up on the top of a large, tall island with a few houses on the top. She smiled and shot towards a dash panel, which sent her speeding down a very steep cliff before running through a large lop and being launched by another dash panel. She went through three lops before landing on a small beach area. There she came across a group of new robots(2), with machine guns as right hands and hover packs that helped the, to float just above the ground.

"Cool! You guys definitely aren't any of my cousins models, oh well, time to smash." As she said this she suddenly pictured a large green human monster with some kind of pony in a metal suit bashing some weird green alien looking things. Shaking her head she dashed towards the bots, who all aimed at her and opened fire. She had to take a second and dodge the bullets quickly. "Ooooo, you use real bullets huh? Smart move, faster than those surpringly slow laser or plasma guns the Black Arms used."

She managed to get close to one of the bots and tore it to pieces with a spindash, as another approached she pulled out a party bomb and stuffed it into the robots chest before knocking it over to a group of robots, exploding on impact and letting confetti rain down over the area. The other robots either kept firing or stopped after they got a good look at her. Their eyes turned pink and they shot down the ones that were still firing before floating to Pinkies sides to follow her.

"Well, at least some of them resisted this time, or just focused on trying to kill me." She shrugged and bounced on the newly freed spring that had been trapped in a force field, moving onto the next area. "This place is reminding me of that place near my Chao Garden in Station Square...wonder why."

Meanwhile, on Eggmans ship, the sceptre glowed with slightly more power. "Soon Shadow...soon..."

I'm gonna be trying to do my own thing with this arc, I'll be following the basics of 06 but mostly it's just gonna be me having fun with it, also found a hilarious let's play of the game by a guy named TearsofGracs in YouTube.

06: Wave Ocean part 2

Shadow took a sip of a small cup of tea while he sat in a small café looking out at the sea, sighing happily he set the cup down and pulled out some brochures, ready to start planning what they would do over the following days of their vacation. "A tour of the old castle would be nice, maybe do that in two days, we'll need to get settled in for tomorrow so we can just relax, an orca show...well I guess we can free them as a bit of an adventure since they appear to be in a nearby zone, although Pinkie will probably already do that considering she's there now. I'll talk with Rouge about it later after the festival tonight."

"Hey Shadow." He turned to see Sally walking up to him, wearing a pair of light blue skinny jeans and a yellow tank top.

He smiled and got up to greet her. "Hello Sally, enjoying yoir sight seeing?"

She nodded and pulled out her phone. "It's very calming, I was able to get a few good photos of the town. For some reason there are spring pads by the cloctowers so I was able to get a good view."

"There were some rings over by the river earlier, and now the springs...I'm starting to think this town is actually a zone in disguise." Shadow chuckled.

"If it is it's either the easiest or the hardest zone we've come across."

"Why would it be hard?"

"No goal ring."

"Ah..." Shadow nodded and sat back down in his seat. "Care to join me?" He asked politely.

Sally smiled warmly and sat down in the chair opposite the hedgehog.

Futher down the street, Omega was watching the two interact while broadcasting it to Pinkie. "This ship has sailed, and it is making no stops." He spoke into a small microphone.

"Keep watching them Nanny, I want to witness ALL OF IT!!!" Pinkie yelled from her communicator, with barely noticeable sounds of robots beings smashed in the background.

"You really want this to happen don't you?" Omega asked while zooming in to get a better look.

"Even with our family and all our friends, daddy is still lonely. He really misses Maria. This will do him good, maybe even make him happier than he already is." Pinkie replied with a softer and more caring voice.

"He's only this kind because of you y'know? He'd still be the emo kid of the group if you hadn't come along."

"I know. That's what everyone tells me. I make others happy all the time, but there's a certain type of happiness that I can't give daddy. I can't give him love."

"Well you-"

"I know I can love him like family love or friendly love. But I can't, and won't, love him like a lover. We don't want incest in this story."

"...what?"

"Oh, I gotta go, talk to you when I get back to the town, and KEEP RECORDING!!!"

Back in Wave Ocean zone

Pinkie took off her communicator abd placed it in her mane before turning to the four robots that had defected to her side. "Alright new robo-friends, let's keep going!" She turned around and dashed over a wooden platform before hoping on a spring that sent her flying towards the side of a large lighthouse. She landed on its side and jumped to a small hill begore bouncing off of that and up to the top of the lighthouse where a grind rail was placed.

She slid down the grind rail and jumped off midway and performed a series of homing attacks on a line of flying robots that led her to another wooden platform. Her robots flew down to her side and watched as she leapt onto the shore of a small island where she slid under a large black pole covered in spikes.

She then came to an area by a cliffside which was filled with what appeared to be scorpion-like robots that launched small orange bombs from their tails. She pulled out her party canon and destroyed a small group of them before her robots locked on and filled the remaining robots with bullets.

"Boy, you guys are brutal when you aren't fighting me."

She abd the robots were able to pass through without any trouble. She hopped onto a series of springs that punched her from pole to pole across a gap in the islands until she ravaged the base of a small mountain. She ran up this mountain until she reached a dash panel at the top which sent her down the other side towards the water. She increased the power on her boots for awhile to glide over the water.

Suddenly a large killer whale started chasing her. "Uh oh, sorry mister whale, but I'm not on the menu." She jumped off the water and onto a long wooden platform in the middle of the ocean which she began to dash across. Suddenly another whale jumped out of the water and began destroying the platforms behind her. "Ok, now I know why this place reminds me of the zone near Station Square...wait a minute..." She came to a screeching halt on the last platform and the whale jumped over it, missing her. She looked around the zone and saw a set of crates spawning in and falling into the ocean, only to spawn again and repeat over and over, most likely from a platform that she was yet to reach. "IS THIS JUST SOME BUGGY REHASH?!?!"

She growled and shook her head.

"You know what?! I ain't doing this! Chaos Control!" Pinkie gripped the green chaos emerald which she had managed to find after beating Black Doom and used its power to teleport to the gate holding the whales in the closed off area and flipped the switch that opened said gate. "Go on Willy! Get out of here! Chaos Control!" She then teleported over to the goal ring and tapped it with her hoof, ending the stage. "There! It's done!" The robots caught up with her and they all began heading towards the Egg Carrier which had landed nearby on the last island. "Hopefully nothing breaks on our way there..."

Those robots are sticking around. And yes, I'm having Pinkie be aware of the glitches, but it won't be an all the time joke, just have it appear here and there every now and again to make fun of the game.

06: A friendly meeting and new companions

Pinkie looked up at the Egg Carrier with a smile, she always enjoyed seeing all her robot friends, especially the robot copies of Sonic The Hedgehog. Eggman had once told her that the robots she had interacted with had actually begun to become sentient, as if her ability to spread joy and kindness worked its way into their programming, creating an artificial consciousness. Some even choose to go by names instead of E-1000 and E-10000 numbers. There were even a few of the E-100 robots around other than Omega that she had gotten to know, although she was unable to meet the original seven, considering E-102 Gamma destroyed them all before he himself was destroyed.

As she walked up to the large ramp at the back of the ship where multiple robots where setting up a temporary base of operations, she noticed three of the remaining E-100 robots. The first was coloured green, and instead of having arms and legs, he had two turning metal belts for travel and two large cylinders at its sides, each with four drills facing outward, this was E-109, code name Kappa. The next was coloured a light brown, with its legs replaced by a flexible grey pole with a blaster at the end which also acted as a foot, it's arms had two red cylinder forearms with three metal claws at the ends, with holes in the palms that shot out bombs, E-110, code name Lambda. The last robot was grey, with no arms or legs. Instead he had two wrings sticking out of his side and a more powerful thruster in its back, with two eagle claw shaped laser cannons under its wings, E-108, IOTA.

"Hello~" Pinkie sang out as she waved to them. The three robots noticed her and beamed with joy, immediately rushing over to her. IOTA got to her first and flew circles around her. Kappa picked her up with his inactive drills and hugged her while Lambda stroked her mane affectionately.

"You seem to have a unique talent for making robots fall for you." Pinkie heard a familiar voice chuckle. Looking over Kappas shoulder she saw Shard standing there with his arms folded.

Pinkie giggled and nuzzled into the hug from the friendly robot. "Well, I am loveable." She joked.

"Careful, none of us want you to get your dads past ego." Shard laughed as he looked around. "So, you having fun on your vacation?"

"Yep!" Pinkie formed a wide smile before letting it fall into a frown. "But the zones here are broken..."

Shard scratched his chin and looked away in thought. "Eggman did say that he ship detected some strange readings here..." He shook his head and gave the pink pony a smile. "Anyway, I assume you're here to see Eggman, come on I'll take you to him." As Shard turned around he saw that all of the Egg Pawns in the area had surrounded them to get a look at Pinkie. "Of course..."

Eggman set his tools down and looked over the schematics for a new robot assistant he was creating to help him organise and provide some logic amongst the other robots. "Man, and I thought building Metal Sonic was difficult, I just can't seem to get this one right...how many prototypes have I gone through for this?" He asked himself in confusion. "Oh well, I've turned animals into robots I think I can figure this out..."

He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes before turning to face the sceptre that was floating in a sealed storage tank, after a spike in its energy once they reached the land of Soleanna, Eggman decided to take steps to insure that it couldn't harm anyone if it was dangerous.

"If what I read is true, then you played a part in that Solaris Project...so I'm not taking any chances with you."

Suddenly, the door to his lab opened to reveal Shard, Pinkie and the three E-100 robots. Pinkie immediately ran up to Eggman who brought her into a hug.

"Easy there Pinkie, I'm an old man remember?" He joked with a grin.

"You're not old cousin, your only 43, you aren't old until you're 65." Pinkie giggled as his moustache tickled her cheek.

"Geez, way to cheer me up, remind me of my age in twenty years why dontcha?" He chuckled and held her close. "I'm all for a suprise visit from you now and again, but aren't you supposed to be on vacation?"

"Well, we are staying in Soleanna for awhile, and daddy saw the Egg Carrier, so I thought I'd stop by to say hi. Although I think daddy just wanted to have some alone time with Sally." She giggled.

Eggman raised a brow at this. "Really? He's interested in Sally? Huh..."

"Who do you think he liked?"

"No one, I figured he was alright with just you and him, along with Rouge and Omega. Oh well, I'd better by invited to the wedding or I'm going back to evil." He stated with a cross expression.

Pinkie just grinned slyly. "You know I'd only stop your plans like Sonic used to~"

"That would actually be a lot of fun...I miss those days."

"Well...we could find some place for you to take over so I could stop you without it actually being seen by people. Maybe some island of flickies or something, maybe steal the chaos emeralds?" Pinkie suggested with a smile.

"That's not a bad idea!"

"When do I ever have bad ideas?"

Egg am raised a brow. "The party nuke?"

Pinkie stopped and blushed slightly. "It was ment to be a better solution to violence in waring countries...but also just to improve my arsenal."

"Pinkie, you don't need and arsenal of weapons of destruction. Your greatest weapon is your ability to turn people to your side. Heck, those strange robots I detected are still trying to follow you in here." Eggman gestured to the four robots with pink eyes trying to come through the door at the same time.

"Yeah uh...could you maybe take them off my hooves? They're kinda creepy and don't talk..."

"Certainly, I can study them and figure out who developed them." Eggman snapped his fingers and four Egg Pawns walked towards the robots and disabled them, hauling their bodies to a different lab. "Anyway, you said you wanted to improve your arsenal and you clearly have a knack for befriending and gaining the trust of robots, so why don't you take these three with you?" He asked gesturing to the three E-100 bots that all stood, or hovered, at attention. "I don't really have much use for them, and they seem really fond of you, plus you've already got Metal Sonic at your beck and call. They could be helpful in certain situations."

Pinkie smiled and nodded. "That sounds great!" Suddenly her smile faded. "But how can I take them around with me?"

"Well, I could modify them to shrink down or compress themselves into small cubes that you can stuff in your infinite mane...leave them with me for a few hours. I'll get Metal to get you once I've finished modifying them." Pinkie smiled and hugged her cousin again. The robots all jumped for joy and Shard shook his head while chuckling.

Meanwhile

In the middle of a forest by Soleanna city, a dark purple bubble appeared and a mobian fell out of it. "So...this is the past..."

06: The confession

Shadow and Sally stood side by side as they looked out at the ocean, small sailboats dotting the waters around the land of Soleanna. The scene was set as a man in the background played the accordion in front of a restaurant. Shadow looked up at the large clock tower, which had a spring pad at its entrance for some odd reason, and checked the time. He pulled out a small box of pills and quickly put it in his mouth..

"Are you still taking that prescription?" Stalky asked with concern as she watched him put the box away.

"I need to, only a few of my memories came back to me after Black Doom was killed, there is still a lot trying to push its way back into my mind." He explained as he took out a flask and downed the contents, swallowing the pill with it. Once he was done he got a glare from Sally. "What? It's grape juice, besides alcohol wouldn't do anything for me anyway with the way my body was designed."

"It's not that...I'm just worried that you're purposely trying to block out your memories." She said with concern.

Shadow shook his head and put the flask away. "I am, but only for this trip and maybe awhile after." He began. "If I let my memories come back all at once it'll just damage me further, and if I let the headaches start while we're here it'll ruin everyone's fun. I'm letting them come back slowly, but there will be things that won't come back naturally."

Sally just stared at him. "Is there...something else?"

Shadow looked away and sighed. "I guess...I'm scared."

Sally turned towards him and began to get closer. "Scared of what?"

Shadow pulled out a photograph of a younger Pinkie Pie, Rouge, Omega and himself all smiling at the camera for one of Pinkies past birthday parties. "That...my past self will take over...that the old memories will take the place of the new ones. I like this life, I find myself letting go of what I was before more and more each day. Like..."

"Like this is the life you really want?"

Shadow looked her in the eye and nodded. "Yeah, that..." He sighed again and placed his hands on the railings in front of him while staring out at the dark blue ocean. "Maybe losing my memories was a good thing, a chance to start over or something. I don't know, but right now, there's not much else I really want in life."

Sally moved closer again and placed her hands on the rails, her hand close to his. "So, no dreams, interests or goals?"

Shadow thought about that for a moment. "Well, no. I've never actually thought about what I want to do in life, I just kind of go with whatever comes my way, more often than not it's an instance where the world needs saving." He laughed a little after finishing the sentence. When he relaxed himself after taking in a breath of the fresh air his hand slipped and connected with Sally's.

Both looked to each other for a moment. As Shadow was about to pull away to avoid things getting awkward, Sally placed her hand on his, much to his suprise. "There's no beating around the bush here, we both know how we've been looking at each other the past few weeks." She stated quickly with a soft but serious expression as she stared the hedgehog in the eyes. "So...why don't we start talking about this?"

Shadow remained silent for a few moments, processing what she had just said before shaking himself and grasping her hand. "I'd like that."

Sally smiled and nodded before they began to walk towards a small restaurant side by side. Omega, Rouge and Pinkie all watched from a street corner. They all silently cheered and high fived.

"You know what happens now, pay up." Omega said to Rouge who rolled her eyes and placed a small sack of rings in his open hand. "Thank you."

"Wait, what did you two bet on?" Pinkie asked as she tilted her head adorably.

"I bet that Sally would be the one to admit her feelings first, Rouge bet on your dad." Omega explained as he counted the rings in the sack before nodding in satisfaction.

Night time, start of the festival

Shadow stood with Pinkie on his head beside Sally and Rouge with Omega standing behind them to be able to see. The night sky was lit with stars and fireworks, the lights of the town setting a calming but at the same time lovely feel as the townspeople gathered to see the Princess of Soleanna perform the ceremony that would start the festival. Everyone was gathered around the river that flowed through the town right to the centre where a large shrine stood. "I haven't missed anything have I?" The group heard Eggman asked as he suddenly appeared, wearing a black leather jacket with a light blue shirt underneath with his usual set of bottoms on.

"No, it's just starting, and really? A leather jacket?" Rouge asked with slight amusement. "Not really the best choice for trying to fit in."

"It's not about fitting in, it's about wearing something I like to wear and that I think looks good." He countered with an unamused tone.

"It's not exactly something you can really pull off." Rouge added with a smirk.

"Let's test that theory." Eggman turned around and tapped the shoulder of a young man. "Excuse me, flamboyant gentleman, do you think I'm suited to wear this outfit?"

The young man looked him over with thought before patting the pack of his friend who turned around and analysed the outfit before they both looked up and nodded. "Pulling, it, off."

"Yes!" Eggma cheered as he turned back around. "Eat it bat girl."

"Damn...even I can't go against their judgement." Rouge huffed as she folded her arms.

"I think you look good cus." Pinkie said with a happy smile.

"Thanks Pinks." Eggman ruffled her mane slightly be hire they heard the sound of drums. Soon, the boat carrying the princess began to make its way down the river, with dancers performing elegantly in the centre of the boat while a few priests, knights and servants stood around the princess.

Going full circle with the Sally X Shadow stuff. It's not a focus, it'll be touched on every once and awhile, it's not like they'll act like a couple of high schoolers in love or whatever. They're more professional than that.

06: Here comes a new challenger

the crowd went silent as the boat reached the altar in the middle of the city. Princess Elise, a young woman wearing a small white dress with medium long red hair, stepped off the boat with the priests following close behind, as well as two cloaked women who seemed to be slowly looking around as if something was wrong. The head priest walked up to Elise and handed her a silver torch. She stared into the flames, staying still as she did so.

Pinkie tilted her head as she analysed her expression. "Hey, Nanny, can you perhaps scan emotions?"

"I don't know, but if I have a function that allows me to drink milkshakes I'm sure I have something, why?" Omega asked in response.

"There's something not right about that look on the princess's face but I can't put my hoof on it."

"Ah, well I'm sure it's nothing really to worry about, I don't want to accidentally use some X-ray function instead..."

Pinkie facehoofed and turned back to the altar. Elise was brought back to reality by one of the cloaked women before nodding and Turing to the altar. Taking a few steps forward, she placed the flames on the altar and the flames began to spread across multiple curbed beams of metal around the structure before reaching a large dish-like structure which burst into a much larger flame. The crowd cheered as fireworks were launched into the air. Elise began to wave at the crowd with a smile on her face.

As Shadow watched the fireworks he noticed something strange. Some of the rockets were coming down instead of going up, rockets that he knew weren't launched. "Some of those aren't fireworks!" He yelled in warning before jumping into the air and kicking one of the incoming missles back into the sky before it exploded, causing the crowd to quickly disperse in panic.

Shadow used chaos control to teleport in front of another rocket where he turned it around and threw it into another. As the rest began to fall Omega retracted his hands and replaced them with two miniguns as he began to shoot the rockets out of the sky. "Pinkie, Rouge! Protect the princess!" He yelled out as he began shooting more of the projectiles being launched.

Rouge flew over to the altar while Pinkie used chaos control. "Don't worry your highness, we've got this under control." Rouge spoke calmly as she pulled a small blue and pink ball out of her pocket and threw it at a rocket that the others had missed, expolding on impact.

"Where are these things coming from?" Elise asked in a slightly panicked voice as she looked to the sky.

"It's probably better if I get you all somewhere safe." Pinkie walked over to the humans and pulled out her chaos emerald. "Now, this is gonna feel a little weird, so try not to puke when we get there." She warned with a smile. "Chaos control!" In a flash of light the humans and pony were gone, a faint light shining up through one of the large castles windows.

As the last rocket was destroyed, spotlights beamed down on the area, focusing on those that were there. The now revealed aircraft opened a hatch which dropped dozens of the robots that Pinkie had encountered in Wave Ocean. The robots landed around the group and pointed their guns as them, Eggman frowning and pulling a small grey and yellow cube out of his jacket just in case.

Suddenly, a smaller vehicle floated out of the hatch, a large and open white and silver cockpit and two large arms resting at the sides. As it reached down to the groups level, it's pilot revealed himself as he bowed. He appeared to be wearing a green version of Eggmans usual outfit. Although he was much shorter and had no moustache. All he had was about four or five strands of hair on his large head with his long nose being his most noticeable feature. He straightened himself and chuckled. "Well hello old friends, such a pleasure to see you all again, it's been far too long."

Eggmans eye twitched as he clenched his fists. "Snively?! Just what do you think you're doing?!"

Snively glanced at his former commander and rolled his eyes. "Oh, hello uncle, fancy seeing you here. While I'd usually say that you're looking as ugly as ever, I'd be lying if I said you didn't look god in that outfit...

"Thank you!" Eggman exclaimed as he looked to Rouge.

"The flamboyant guys already proved your point so shut it!"

Snively turned his attention to Shadow. "I remember you, the one who was always depressing. Where's that little brat that's changed you 'for the better'?" He asked in a sarcastic tone.

"She's taking care of the princess, who I think is the one you're after." Shadow replied as he folded his arms and stared down his old enemy.

Snively chuckled. "You're right, I am after the princess, but I won't bore any of you with the details, I figured I'd just kill you now and get it over with."

"You really think your stupid looking robots are enough for us?" Omega asked not able to take his threat seriously as he replaced his guns with hands again. "Won't even need my guns for this."

One of the robots flew up to Snively's side and aimed it's gun at the robot. "Well, worth a shot, what better way to test my instruments of destruction than to have them-"

He was stopped as a wooden stick shot right into the robots head and caused it to explode. The stick was blown up in the air before Omega caught it and glared. "If they can be destroyed by being poked by a stick, you're gonna have to make 'em with stronger metal in order to fight us short stack."

Eggman threw the cube up into the air and it began to expand, revealing IOTA who targeted a group of robots before Eggman himself pulled out two blasters. Snively smirked and snapped his fingers, signalling his bots to attack.

As the battle began, a mobian watched the group from the rooftops and clenched his fists. "I found him, the Iblis trigger..."

06: First fight of many

Pinkie placed the chaos emerald in her mane before turning to the group of humans who were all getting their bearings after being transported with chaos energy. "Everybody ok?" She asked as she walked up to the Princess who was holding her head in one hand, feeling slightly light headed.

"Yes, we're alright, just a little woozy." Elise replied as she her head cleared. "Thank you for saving us Pinkie Pie."

"I'd ask how you know my name, but at this point I'm pretty much known world wide." Pinkie chuckled before purring as Elise got on her knees and began scratching her ear.

Elise smiled softly as Pinkie climbed into her lap as she was groomed. "Of course, when you defeated the Black Arms you saved the world, including our country." Pinkie curled up and snuggled into Elise's lap as she gently stroked her back.

One of the priests clutched his chest but managed to keep himself from fainting due to cuteness exposure. The other priests weren't as strong and immediately fell backwards clutching their chests, while the nearby maids and the cloaked women were all waiting for their turn to pamper the adorable little pony before them.

Meanwhile

Eggman shot one of the robots point blank in the face and kicked it's body down. "Come on, they go down after one blaster shot? What kind of worthless metal did you make these out of?"

Snively rolled his eyes and pressed a button on his vehicle. The two arms at the sides folded out as Snively sat back in the chair behind him and took control of the mech. Pressing another button caused a protective dome to cover the cockpit as it moved towards Eggman. Shadow teleported in front of the machine and kicked it's body with a great deal of force, causing it to be pushed back.

Suddenly one of the mechs fists came behind him and knocked him into the ground. He wasn't given any time to recover as the mech began to repeatedly strike him in the back, causing the ground beneath him to crack with each punch. Eggman frowned and placed his blasters back into his pockets before lifting out another cube which unfolded into a large bazooka. Placing it over his shoulder he aimed at the large robot and pulled the trigger, sending a large rocket towards their opponent. On impact the rocket destroyed one of the arms, the shock of the explosion sending it flying into the water.

Rouge flew down and helped Shadow get to his feet. Once up, he growled and pushed Rouge away before grabbing a nearby bot and ripping it in half. As the robots were destroyed small rectangular crystals fell out of their bodies, which flew into Shadows body and began to fill him with energy. Once he had enough energy, his Memory Shard began to glow. As the mech dragged itself out of the water and dashed towards him, Shadow activated the shard and his body was coated in a dark red aura. He jumped and used a homing attack to get up close, only this time his attack went at incredible speeds.

Once he made impact and destroyed the other arm he began to rapidly punch the mechs body before kicking it upwards abd charging some energy into his hand. "Chaos Spear!" Throwing the bolt of chaos energy into the body caused its systems to short circuit and explode. Snively floated out of the black cloud with a protective bubble around him, smirking as he looked down in the group.

"Well, this was fun, but I'm afraid I must be going now. It's clear that I need to improve my army, and now that I've tested your abilities, I now know-" He was cut off as a stick was thrown right at his face. "OW! Cheap shot!"

"Just get outta here and save the villainous speech for later Pinocchio!" Omega called up as he caught the stick as it fell.

"You know if you keep using that you're gonna drive the joke into the ground right?" Eggman asked unamused.

"Yep, still gonna do it though."

Snively growled. "How did that even get through my force field-you know what it doesn't matter. Since you obviously don't want to listen I'll just leave. I have work to do anyway. Goodbye morons." With a snap of his finger he was gone in a flash of light.

Shadows body returned to normal and Omega pimp slapped the last robots head off before yawning. "Man, I could really use a power down right now."

Rouge nodded before yawning herself. "Yeah, I could use some shuteye."

Eggman called down IOTA and he formed back into a cube. "I'd best get back to the Egg Carrier and figure out where Snively is hiding."

Shadow looked up at the castle and sighed. "So much for a peaceful vacation..."

Omega walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, this is the kinda stuff we signed up for when we took Sonic's place, but that doesn't mean we won't get our down time. I think we can trust the princess with Pinkie for tonight, let's just get back to the hotel."

Once the castle staff were finished fawning over Pinkie, Elise and the pony walked down the halls of the castle, which seemed oddly familiar to Pinkie. "You ok Pinkie?" The princess asked, noticing her confused expression.

"Yeah, just this really strong feeling of déjà vu."

"How so?" Elise asked interested.

"I dunno, just something about a large castle on a mountain and a place where people worship a sun god seem familiar to me." Elise chuckled as she watched Pinkies confused face constantly shift as she tried to piece together what it was that was making her feel the way she was. "I'm usually good at referencing stuff..."

"You're probably just tired, come on, you can sleep with me tonight."

Pinkie gained a cheeky smile and scoffed. "My my, at least take me to dinner first." She said with a posh accent while her main changed to a style with bouncy curls at the ends.

Elise laughed as she picked up Pinkie in her arms. "Alright jokey, it's time for bed."

"You're not my mama." I'd have Elise respond with something like 'I could be' but we all know that's something we should stay well away from.

06: Silver

The next morning, one of the castle maids heard the sound of loud knocking coming from the castle entrance as she was dusting off a few antiques that had belonged to the late members of the royal family. Walking over and opening the door slightly, she saw Omega and Sally standing there. "Can I help you?"

Sally nodded and greeted the maid with a kind smile. "Yes, we're just here to pick up Pinkie Pie and would like to talk to Princess Elise please."

"Oh, are you members of Pinkie's family?" The maid asked.

"Yes, we are, may we come in?"

"Certainly, and I'm sure the Princess would like to talk to you about last nights events anyway, so do come in." The maid smiled as she opened the door for the two.

"Thank you very much." Sally and Omega stepped inside, allowing the maid to close the door before walking off to inform Elise of their arrival.

"You know, I always wonder how you can be so polite to people you've never met before." Omega commented as he had watched Sally's interactions so far, analysing her behaviour as to make sure she'd be a good second mother for Pinkie. He knew she could never replace Rouge in Pinkies eyes, but at the same time he knew Pinkie would most likely take her on as a mother figure as well. So, he began to watch and learn. He had modified his primary directive to protect and watch over Pinkie, and that's what he'd do.

"Well, I was a princess, remember? Even during the days of the Freedom Fighters I still had to attend Royal summits whenever I could, and those required proper etiquette." Sally explained.

"And yet you still fall under the stereotype of princess that just wants to have fun."

Sally playfully punched Omega in the arm, only to instantly regret it and shake her sore hand while the robot laughed at her misfortune. "And you still fall under the stereotype of robot that enjoys the misery of organics." She countered with a confident smirk.

"I was built by Eggman, I enjoy the pain of everyone but myself...and Pinkie."

Sally tried to think of some way to make a sarcastic or smug comment, but any she could think of would insult his connection to the pink pony that is mentioned in nearly every paragraph. "Fair enough."

Meanehile

Elise opened her eyes to see Pinkie curled up and sleeping soundly beside her. Smiling, the princess gently rubbed one of the filly's ears, earning a happy sigh from her as she started to stir. She got into her hooves and streched like a cat before opening her eyes and yawning. The two greeted each other with a good morning before Elise threw her legs over the side of the bed and got to her feet, followed by Pinkie who began messing with her mane to get it to its natural poofiness.

Pinkie had begun to help get Elise prepared for the day by brushing her hair, applying enough makeup to let her shine but not too much to hide her natural beauty (a skill she had learned from Rouge of course), placed the white feathers in her hair and helped pick out a nice dress, well, one that didn't show as much leg as the one she had wore the previous night. She now wore an elegant white dress that reached just down near her ankles, but had enough room to let her move without much restriction, a sun pendant holding its single strap on her right shoulder. "How do I look?" She asked as she posed playfully.

Pinkie giggled and smiled. "You look more like a princess now than you ever did before darling." She spoke with a slight British accent as her main straightened with bouncy curls at the ends.

Elise chuckled and stepped towards the door. "Come on, let's get some breakfast then we can find your family and discuss what's going on." As she was about to turn the doorknob she heard knocking from the other side.

"Princess Elise? Are you awake?" The maid asked.

"I am, what is it?"

"There is a robot and Mobian looking for Pinkie Pie, I believe that the Mobian is the former Princess Sally Acorn your highness." The maid answered as she stepped away from the door slightly.

"Ok, thank you, please tell them I will be down in a minute." With that, the maid walked off and Elise turned to Pinkie who was reaching into her mane, trying to grab something. "Well, I gues we won't need to find your family then. Come one, we shouldn't keep them waiting."

Meanwhile, again

"Damn, how hard is it to find one hedgehog in this town?" The young Silver the Hedgehog asked to no one as he walked through the streets of the city. "I know he's around here somewhere." As he walked, his hand glowed with a light blue aura and an orange was coated in the same aura as it floated over to him. Taking a bite out of the fruit he stopped and savoured the taste. "So, this is what fresh fruit tastes like..."

After a moment of standing still, he finished the fruit and continued on his way.

"Maybe if I float up to the rooftops I can get a better viewpoint. No, that would just attract too much attention." As he said this, he spotted a little girl standing on a roof with nobody paying attention to her. "I guess not...shouldn't someone get her down from there though? She could get hurt."

Suddenly, the girl lost her footing and slipped, falling towards the ground, screaming in panic.

"I gotcha!" Silvers hands glowed as he used his power to slow her decent and let her safely land on her feet. "Are you ok? How'd you even get up there in the first place?" He asked as he checked her for injuries.

"Y-Yeah, I'm ok and...I don't know. One second I was standing here, the next I was up there." The girl explained as she tried to calm herself down.

"Really?" Silver scratched his chin in thought. "Something does seem odd about this place. Anyway, you go find your parents and take it easy."

"Ok...thank you mister." The girl waved goodbye and ran off in search of her parents.

Silver watched her run and sighed. "Well, I was able to help someone at least."

"Hey!" Silver turned around to see Tails running up to him. "Hey, I saw what you just did there, nice job saving that girl." The two tailed fox praised, lifting his sunglasses up to his forehead.

"Oh...uh...thanks?"

Tails looked him over with a strange look. "How'd you do that?"

"What?"

"The thing you did with that aura, it was like telekinesis or something."

Silver looked to his hands and coated then in his aura. "Oh, this is just my psychokinesis. I don't know exactly how I use it, I was just born with this power, I was told it's something to do with my genes."

"Interesting. I knew this kind of power existed, but I've never seen someone use it before." Tails shook his head and smiled. "Oh, where are my manners, I'm Tails, and you are?" He greeted while extending his hand.

"Silver, Silver the Hedgehog." Silver answered as he shook his hand.

"Silver huh? Neat name. Anyway, I've got to go find someone, hopefully I'll see you later, I'd really like to study your abilities."

Silver nodded and they both walked away from each other. "Oh hey wait a second!" Silver called out, earning Tails' attention. "Have you seen a black hedgehog around here?!"

"Sorry, I haven't, if I do I'll let you know!" With that, Tails ran off, leaving Silver in no better place than he was before the encounter.

He sighed and continued on. "I bet Blaze is having better luck than me..."

06: Regretful pride

Elise wiped the crumbs off her lips with a napkin as she finished her breakfast, smiling as she watched Pinkie happily nibbling at the large chocolate covered waffle. Omega sat across the table from the princess, with Sally sat beside him, both drinking chocolate milkshakes through curly straws. "I see, so, it was an old enemy of yours that attempted to capture me and possibly kill my subjects?" She asked after hearing about what had happened after Pinkie had taken her to the safety of her castle.

"Indeed, Snively has been in hiding for nearly a decade, we all thought he had given up on evil or had died in the final battle with Doctor Robotnik." Sally explained as she finished her drink. "Right now, Shadow and Rouge are looking around to see if they can find any clues as to where he is hiding out. Omega will go to meet up with them soon while I stay in the city in case anything happens."

Elise raised a brow and glanced at Pinkie, who burped as she swallowed the last piece of her breakfast. "And what about Pinkie?"

"We all figured she'd like to do her own thing. She can either go help Team Dark, stay with me or you, or go off with Eggman or have her own adventure, it's not like any of us can stop her." Sally answered as Pinkie nodded, giving them an evil grin which made Omega shiver, although he did not recall installing fear receptors into his software.

"Pinkie may be adorable, but she does not apply to any laws of physics, and if she wanted to she could easily make the most mentally sound being in the universe go insane." He spoke in a hushed and slightly terrified tone.

Pinkie just smiled and stuck out her tongue. "I may like making people happy, but that doesn't mean I can't have my own fun."

Sally didn't know whether to chuckle or call child services after hearing the ponys response. "Congratulations Omega, you've made her part sadist."

"I'm both proud and regretful."

"Anyway!" Elise interrupted with a clap of her hands and an awkward smile. "Pinkie, what is it that you'd like to do?"

Pinkie paused in thought for a moment, placing a hoof to her chin. "Well...I haven't been on my own adventure before, I've always either been with daddy, mommy or Nanny Omega."

Elise blinked and looked to the robot, who turned and looked her in the eye. "What?"

"Nothing! Continue Pinkie." Elise waved her hand with an awkward chuckle.

"I guess I'll go by myself then, see if I can find Snively or see if Ivo needs any help." Pinkie decided with a happy nod.

"Well, if you're wanting to find something, I'd recommend starting in the old castle ruins in Kingdom Valley, it's in the forest just east of the city."

Pinkie nodded with a smile as she put on her rocket skates. "Well, I guess I'll be heading out then, tell mommy and daddy I said good luck!" Pinkie exclaimed quickly as he jumped up to Omega and planted a peck on his nose before speeding out of the room and out of the castle.

"That pony is going to be the death of so many people..." Sally chuckled as she shook her head.

"From either adorableness or collateral damage?" Elise asked with worry.

"Both." Omega answered with evil pride.

"You are so an Eggman ro-EEP!" Sally was interrupted as Omega pointed a machine gun to her head.

"Finish that sentence, see what happens." He warned in a dark tone, his eyes glowing red.

"This is going to be a long day..." Elise groaned as she lay back in her chair with a hand on her head.

As Pinkie dashed through the streets of the city, she saw a familiar figure flying above her and slowed down. "Tails!"

"Hey Pinkie! Have you seen your dad around?! I wanted to see if he needed help!" Tails called after the pony, easily keeping up with her using his tails.

"He's kinda busy and has all the help he needs!" Pinkie calked back. "But hey! Want to come with me?! I was gonna go it alone but I haven't adventured with you yet!"

"Alright! It's been awhile since I went on any kind of adventure! Lead the way!" Tails answered with a smile and thumbs up, descending to fly alongside her. With her friend by her side she sped off towards the outskirts of the city, where the ruins of the old Soleanna Castle lay, waiting to be explored.

Meanwhile

Silver looked out at the vast desert that lay in front of him. "What am I doing out here? Why would the Iblis trigger even be out in the desert?!" He complained as he kicked a stone into the nearby quicksand. "This is the last time I trust an old man playing an accordion's sense of direction!" He raised his fist into the air before pausing. "...ok to be fair I should have saw the flaw in this plan."

He sighed and tried to sit down on a nearby fallen stone pillar, only to jump after feeling the scorching heat of the stone.

"Right, still in the desert." He looked around and groaned. "Forget this, I'm going ack to the city." As he was about to walk away, something caught his attention. Turning back he looked out and saw the entrance to an old temple. "Wait, is that an old Solaris Temple?" A smile came to his face as he nodded. "I guess a guy who planned to release the flames of disaster would visit a place like this. Thank you old accordion guy!"

His body became coated in his light blue aura and he began to float over the hot sea of sand, being able to reach a series of stone platforms before the strain of lifting himself for an extended period of time caught up to him. He dropped onto a platform and took in a breath.

"Gotta keep practicing...I've never gotten that far before." He smiled at the accomplishment, looking to his glowing hands before jumping over to the next platform. "I'm sure I'll have enough power to defeat Shadow, I just gotta catch him by surprise." As he continued to leap from platform to platform, someone in the distance was watching him through a pair of binoculars.

"A new hedgehog? That's something we haven't seen since Scourge." Amy said to herself as she packed her binoculars into her backpack and looking at the photos she had taken of the surrounding ruins. "We'll I was headed for the temple anyway, misght as well see what he's up to." She placed the camera back into her back before pulling out her hammer and began running across the large stone bridge she was on, shadowing Silver from afar.

Kinda twisting the original plan a bit. With Pinkie now following Shadows storyline with Tails and her robots. Trying to make Silver naive but not incompetent with his thinking. He's a 14 year old (yes that's he actual age) trying to play hero, of course he's gonna be naive. Also mixing the canon Amy with Boom Amy, just because I can.

06: Kingdom Valley

Eggmans temporary base

Shard walked down the hallways of the Egg Carrier with a white box in his hand, passing several Egg Pawns and Black Arms as he did. He passed the newly installed cafeteria for the aliens, which served many different dishes made from chao fruits (all recipes provided by Omega of course). He also passed a break room, where he found Mecha Sonic playing poker with a few old badniks and Tails Doll. Then, he passed the fitness centre, where one of the huge purple Egg Pawns training some of the larger Black Arms while Metal Sonic teaching some of the smaller ones as well as some of the newly employed Mobians and Humans how to fight and, to Shards surprise, yoga.

He just chuckled as he continued to make his way towards Eggmans lab. "Ever since Pinkie changed the Doctor for the better, things have gotten a whole lot more lively around here."

Soon, he pressed a button on the side of the doorframe to open the door to the lab. When the door opened he found Eggman sitting on a stool, hunched over while tinkering with Lambda's inner workings. "Almost...almoooooost aaaaannnddd DONE!" He exclaimed as he slammed the hatch on the robots back closed. "Now, try the compression system." He ordered. The robot nodded and began shrinking down until he was only a small metallic cube. "Success! Now, to get you three to Pinkie."

"I take it you've finished modifying the E-100's?" Shard asked, earning the doctors attention.

"Yes, it took awhile but I say I did a damn good job." Eggman replied as he turned around and got to his feet, pausing when he saw the box. "Is that what I think it is?"

Shard smiled and opened the box. "Yep, Pinkie stopped by on her way to Kingdom Valley to drop of some of her muffins, as well as a few cookies, said it was a thank you for giving her the robots."

Eggman rubbed his hands together in anticipation while grinning widely. "Cookies too? That's a first, I wonder why she-Oh my God, that chocolate chip cookie looks like the Death Egg!" He laughed as he looked into the box, taking out the cookie in question.

"She also put chocolate mini eggs on the cupcakes." Shard added as he took one of the treats out and took a bite out of it, enjoying the sweet taste of the treat. "Why am I the only one of your robots with a mouth? Although I could also ask why you gave Omega the ability to drink milkshakes."

Eggman just shrugged as he shoved the cookie into his mouth. "Whatever. Think you can go deliver these guys to Pinkie for me?" He asked as he handed Shard a case with the three cubes inside of it. "Actually...tell the Egg Pawns to prep my Egg-O-Matic. You said she was going to Kingdom Valley right?"

Soleanna Forest, just outside the castle ruins

Pinkie and Tails jogged across the large grassy area, making their way towards the bridge that connected the forest to the large castle. "This the place?" Tails asked as he looked around.

"Unless you know of any other super big castle ruins I'd say it is." Pinkie answered with a smile.

"Was...was that sarcasm?"

"Sally can be a bit sassy." She giggled as they reached the bridge, slowling their pace down to a gentle stroll. Pinkie walked slightly to the side, staring down to the water that separated the land from the castle, which also happened to be nearly 100 feet below the bridge.

"Whoever decided to build a castle out in the middle of a forest was probably the same guy who thought it would be a good idea to build another one on the side of a mountain after it crumbled." Tails commented idly, causing Pinkie to stop with a confused expression. "What's wrong Pinks?"

"This entire kingdom is giving me the biggest feeling of deja vu...Sun princess...a mountain castle and a ruined castle in the forest..." She muttered to herself, getting annoyed over the fact she couldn't figure out what was giving her these strange feelings.

"Well, let's get a move on, maybe playing through a zone will take your mind off of things." Tails suggested as he spun his tails around, lifting himself off the ground. "Looks like whatever I used to enter the stage is up there at the top of the tower." He pointed out, looking towards the top of the large stone tower, noticing a soft light emitting from the top spire. "You need a lift or are you gonna do something completely random to get up...Pinkie?" He set himself down while looking around, not finding the pink pony anywhere.

"Up here!" Looking up, he saw a dot of pink at the top of the spire. "Come on! Adventure awaits!"

Tails just shook his head as he spun his tails and flew up after the pink ball of reality warping energy. "Just like with Sonic..."

Desert Ruins

Silver landed on the edge of the last stone platform, sitting down to catch his breath, having finally reached the entrance to the desert temple. "Damn...I could have swore this thing was closer than when I started..." He gasped out as he pulled out a bottle of water, taking a few large gulps before pouring it over himself. "How did this stay cold?"

"Hey!" Silver jumped in surprise, looking around frantically to try and find whoever had found him. "Up here!" Looking to the top of the temple entrance, he saw Amy standing there looking at him curiously. "What're you doing out here without the proper gear?"

06: Kingdom Valley part 2

When Pinkie and Tails jumped into the mirror portal, they came out onto a mossy stone platform overlooking the ruined castle. The towers still stood tall and strong, but large pieces of debris could be seen sticking out of the vast amount of water below. In front of them a small stone bridge allowed them to cross over to the other side, collecting a few rings as they went. Suddenly a couple of wooden boxes blocked their path as a group of Snively's robots teleported in, now with black bars over their optic sensors.

The two jumped out of the way as the robots opened fire on them with machine guns and missile launchers. After they had dodged Pinkie took out her party bazooka and blasted three of the robots while Tails pulled out two dummy rings and tossed them towards the two that were left standing, exploding on impact.

"Never seen these robots before, didn't seem affected by your cuteness either." Tails commented as they made their way down a set or rails next to a long twisting bridge.

"We ran into them at the festival and when I ran through Wave Ocean, made by some guy called Snively, don't know who that is though." Pinkie explained before she launched towards a spring bumper which sent her flying over to the next set of platforms.

"I'm guessing the first time you met them you were able to control them?" Tails asked as he smacked a robot with his tails.

"Yep, they were ok I guess, but they weren't sweet and cuddly like the Egg Pawns."

"The Egg Pawns are not cuddly! They are designed to strike fear and confusion into the hearts of my enemies!" They heard a familiar voice complain from above.

Looking up they saw Eggman flying down in the Egg-O-Matic. "But they're cuddly and round! Just like you cousin!" Pinkie exclaimed with a huge smile, earning a groan from the former evil genius.

"I swear if I didn't love you like a daughter I'd have blasted you to the moon years ago..." Eggman muttered under his breath as he flew alongside them.

"Nah, I'm too cute for you to try and blast me and you know it Eggy~" Pinkie teased as she used a piece of rope that was tied to two separate pillars to jump up and burst through a window into one of the towers where a large group of robots were waiting for them. This time with a large light blue robot that stood hunched with its arms behind it and a large laser cannon on its front, alongside robots similar to the smaller white ones, except golden with two large missile launchers for arms.

Eggman just faceplamed as Tails chuckled at his displeasure. "You two just get to the end of the stage, I have something for Pinkie, my robots will make sure the area around the goal ring is clear." The unimpressed doctor groaned as he flew away, leaving the two to fight the robots.

The golden robots proved more difficult to deal with than the regular enemies, as their armour and weapons were four times stronger. While Tails dealt with the smaller enemies Pinkie dashed around the larger robot to try and get it to spin around out of control, only for it to fire homing beams of purple energy out of its body that only barely missed the pink pony. Realising tricks wouldn't work, she jumped up and struck it optic sensor with a homing attack before placing a party bomb on its top. After a few seconds the blast of confetti and fire destroyed the top of the robot, leaving its feet to slowly fall over.

Tails had used his spin dash to dash from bot to bot, smashing into them before guiding their missiles to hit each other. Once the area was clear the large entrance to the tower opened and they were able to run across the next bridge, making their way to the next section of the stage.

Meanwhile

Silver blinked before answering the pink hedgehogs question. "What am I doing out here? Oh, I'm just looking for someone, it's kind of important."

Amy raised a brow and looked out to the desert. "You really thought you'd find someone out here in the middle of some desert ruins?"

"In my defence this was really my only lead." He chuckled awkwardly before sighing. "Hey, maybe you can help me! Have you seen a black hedgehog around these parts?"

Amy narrowed her eyes slightly and placed a hand on her hammer. "I haven't, why? What do you want with him?"

Silver was about to announce his intentions when he stopped himself. 'No, this hedgehog might be his friend, she'd never take you to him if she knew you wanted to kill him, think of something quick!' After a few seconds he smiled. "I just want to ask him a few questions, it is really important. Please, if you have any information I could really use it!" He almost begged.

Amy knew what he was saying was a lie, but she could hear the urgency in his voice. If he wanted to hurt Shadow, she'd be there alongside Omega and Rouge if things got ruff, if it was for something else she didn't know what she'd do. "Alright, if it's that important, I'll take you to him, he's a personal friend."

Silver sighed in relief. "Thank you! I thought I'd be wandering around aimlessly this entire mission."

Amy jumped down and landed on the edge of the platform with a small smile. "Well, guess it's a good thing you ran into me then isn't it? Oh, and by the way..." She began as she walked passed him. "...if you try to hurt Shadow I will break your legs. Trust me, it's a much better fate than what Pinkie would have in store for you if you hurt her father." She warned before walking on ahead.

'Wait, he's a father? He has a kid?! I can't make someone an orphan! I know that kind of pain! I can't do this, I can't...no, think of the future Silver, what's one orphan to save millions of others from becoming parentless too? You need to be strong...and do what needs to be done.' He debated with himself for a few more moments before putting in a stern expression and taking off after the pink hedgehog.

06: Confrontation

Upon reaching the end of the stage after speeding through a long, spilt section of what appeared to be the ocean, Pinkie and Tails came to the final tower in the castle ruins where Eggman was waiting for them, a small case in his hand while a few Egg Pawns stood guard around the outside of the tower. Pinkie looked around and smirked playfully, pulling a few items of clothing out of her mane while quickly putting them on.

When Eggman spotted her, he raised a brow when he saw her in a brown trench coat, black fedora and sunglasses, a serious look on her face. She slowly looked around before facing away from him. "You got the stuff?" She asked with an attempt to make her voice sound deeper. Tails stood to the side trying not to laugh while Eggman struggled not to smile, trying to play along.

After clearing his throat and composing himself, he gripped the case tightly. "Yeah, I got the stuff, you got the payment?" Pinkie smirked and pulled out a white bakers box and slid it over to Eggman. "Hold on, I gotta make sure this is legit." He said while picking up the box and opening it, noticing that Tails was still struggling to contain his laughter by forcing a hand over his mouth while recording the scene with his phone.

"What's to check? It's the purest and most delicious set of cupcakes you'll ever get." Pinkie asked with a raised brow.

"Ok, who the hell is the dealer in this situation?" Eggman groaned in confusion.

Pinkie giggled and jumped out of the clothes to turn and greet her friend with her usual smile. "Sorry, I watch a lot of noir detective shows with Espio and I've always wanted to do this as the dealer."

Eggman rolled his eyes and placed the pastry box in his Egg-O-Matic before handing the case to Pinkie. "There, all three of the E-100 robots have been modified for mobile transport."

Pinkie smiled as she threw the case open and tossed the three cubes into the air. The cubes expanded before the three robots returned to their original forms and surrounded Pinkie. Kappa spun his drills happily as Iota picked Pinkie up before flying around with her on his head, Lambda folding his arms and shaking his head while emitting sounds that resembled a soft chuckle.

"What are you two doing out here in these sunken ruins anyway?" Eggman asked Tails who was busy uploading the video of the previous scene to the rest of their friends.

"Oh, Pinkie said something about the princess saying that she could possibly find something here, maybe something to do with Snively. I didn't really ask why we were out here, it's just been awhile since I've been on a zone run." The two tailed fox explained as he put his phone away, watching Pinkie play about with her new robot friends.

"Well, if the princess pointed her here, she's probably referring to the Solaris Project that destroyed this castle ten years ago." Eggman hopped into his vehicle and turned to Pinkie. "Hey Pinkie, you're here looking for info right?"

"Yep! Although I don't know what to find here." Pinkie replied as she hopped down off of Iota and sat on Kappas head.

"Follow me, I'll bring you to the main computer room." As he said this, Eggman immediately turned to a nearby Egg Pawn. "Do not let Vector anywhere near this place while we are here."

Meanwhile

Back in the town of Soleanna, Shadow sat with Sally in a small outdoor café just behind the main alter in the centre of town. "So, I guess your plans for a peaceful vacation are cancelled?" Sally asked while gently stirring her tea.

"Pretty much, we were supposed to only be staying here for two weeks, but now we're staying as long as is needed for us to track down Snively and foil whatever he is planning."

Sally just chuckled. "You have no idea how much you sounded like Sonic just now."

Shadow glared and growled. "I am nothing like that small minded faker!"

Sally just laughed and pat him on the head. "Sure sure, whatever you say Shadow."

Meanwhile, in an alley just across from the café, a figure stood in the shadows watching the two. "There he is, I just need to wait until he's alone, no point in having others caught in the crossfire." The figure spoke in a regal females voice, clenching her fist slightly. "Just wait. The future will be saved, just wait Blaze, do this quickly and carefully."

"Don't you know its rude to spy on people?" Blaze gasped before turning to face the newcomer. When she turned she was immediately met with a metal fist to the gut, knocking her out of the alleyway and into the square. She flipped through the air and landed on all fours, slowly getting to her feet as Omega made himself visible. "Now, are you going to tell me why you were spying on my buddies or am I going to have to beat the information out of you?" He asked while punching his fist into his palm.

Shadow and Sally noticed the presence of their friend when the people around them all turned towards the scene. While Sally rushed over, Shadow jumped over the other tables and landed just behind Blaze. "What's going on over here Omega? Who is this?"

"Miss Kitty over here was spying on you two, and judging from her expression I don't think she was having friendly thoughts." The robot explained, eagerly hoping that Blaze would opt to fight.

Shadow stared at Blaze with a slight glare, Blaze having frozen up, unsure of what to do. 'Crap, I can't take these three on my own, not without burning this entire area to the ground anyway. Silver, if there was ever a moment that you'd conveniently show up out of nowhere, please let that moment be now.'

The civilians in the area had already began to clear out, leaving the four of them in the empty square. "I don't want to jump to conclusions here, so you'd best explain yourself." Shadow stated as he folded his arms and waited for Blaze's response.

Just around the corner, Amy and Silver walked side by side, Amy humming happily to herself while Silver remained silent. "So, you live in Soleanna or are you just here for business?" Amy asked, trying to break the silence between the two with small talk.

Silver thought for a moment before answering. "Oh, I'm just here for business, I guess. I came here with a friend looking for Shadow. What about you?"

"I'm just here looking through old temple ruins, making a few notes on the country's history. Seems a lot of my friends ended up here too, just a happy coincidence I suppose." Amy answered with a small smile.

"So, you're like an archeologist?" Silver asked with interest, completely missing the crowd of people rushing out of the square just up ahead.

"Yeah, but its more of a hobby, I'm currently in between jobs, too much has been happening to really find steady work. Plus I like to keep moving, when I was younger I used to travel a lot chasing after this boy I had a crush on. I guess I just became used to moving around all the time."

Silver didn't know why, but he felt an odd sense of familiarity from the pink hedgehog. The simple conversation certainly helped to lighten the mood, which he was thankful for. When he had started following her there was a feeling of tension due to what he had to do when they found Shadow, but now it was almost like that tension had completely vanished. "Wait, so you chased your crush everywhere? Isn't that kinda stalkerish?"

Amy glared slightly while punching his shoulder. "I was young and in love ok?"

"Still stalkerish though..." Silver muttered under his breath while Amy rolled her eyes. "Hey, what's going on over there?" He asked as he finally noticed the crowd running out from the area just around the corner from them. Amy pulled out her hammer and dashed over, Silver running close behind her.

When they turned the corner Silver froze as he saw his childhood friend in between a very intimidating warbot and the person he had been sent to kill. Blaze looked over and made eye contact with the white hedgehog, looking at him expectedly. He didn't know what to do, they could probably take them all together, but he would have to get Blaze out of her current position and he knew that the others most likely wouldn't give him the opportunity.

"What's going on here?" Amy asked.

"Caught this cat spying, she hasn't said anything though and isn't answering our questions." Shadow answered, suprised to see the pink hedgehog there. After answering, he noticed the newcomer standing beside his friend. "Who's the kid?"

"Oh, this is Silver, found him out in the desert ruins looking for you." Amy explained, eyeing Silver cautiously.

"It doesn't take a genius to figure out weed hair over there and this cat are working together." Omega stated while changing one of his claws into a minigun.

Thinking quickly, Silver used his powers to grab Omega and throw him at Shadow. Amy tried to strike him with her hammer only to have Blaze spin kick her in the face. Blaze and Silver now stood side by side, taking fighting stances. The others all recovered and got to their feet. Shadow cracked his neck and knuckles while Omega changed his other hand into a rocket launcher, Amy spun her hammer around and Sally clenched her fists and two blue energy blades grew out if her wristbands.

"Blaze, can we actually do this?" Silver asked his friend with extreme nervousness.

Blaze rolled her eyes and summoned a ball of fire in each hand. "We'll be fine. We can't fail here, our future and everyone else's future depends on this, so shut up and fight."

Meanwhile on the Egg Carrier

Inside of Eggmans lab, Shard sat with his feet up on one of the doctors desks while happily snacking on the leftover treats that Pinkie had sent that morning, humming 'Live and Learn' to himself.

Behind him, the Sceptre floated in its glass container, began to glow with a dark purple light, the glass cracking around it. "Shadow the Hedgehog...I must...find...Shadow..."

"What the hell?" Shard spun himself around and looked to the sceptre. "That's never happened before, best get you to Eggman so he can take a look at you."

Meanwhile...again...damn there are a lot of these lately

While Pinkie and Tails flew through the air above the castle ruins with Eggman leading them to the old abandoned research facility withimg the sunken castle, Pinkie suddenly shuddered.

"Hey Pinkie, you alright?" Tails asked while looking down to her, carrying her by holding one of her front hooves.

"I'm fine...it's just...I feel like something bad is gonna happen soon." Pinkie responded with a worried tone, her mane deflating slightly. "Eggy, take us back to the town, I have a bad feeling, the information can wait."

Eggman didn't question her, he just nodded and changed his course. "Fine, I'll send Metal Sonic in to retrieve any data that can still be found." With that, the trio sped off towards the town, unaware that a metallic figure was watching them.

Just in case some of you think it's going to happen, I'm not shipping Silver x Blaze or Amy. I have something different planned for Blaze, if you've read the comics you can probably guess what it is. Now for Silver...still debating over whether or not I should go through with what I have planned for him or not.

06: The trigger

Blaze rolled out of the way of a volley of rockets launched by Omega, who was enjoying every second of the current battle. Silver used his power to grab the rockets out of the air and shot them back at the robot, forcing him to go on the defensive. Sally and Amy came up behind Blaze, Amy knocking her up in the air with her hammer before Sally knocked her down with a kick. Shadow launched at Silver with a homing attack, which Silver blocked by pulling a table in front of himself. Shadow uncurled and struck him in the chest with a chaos spear before knocking him down with a right hook.

Silver bounced slightly before using his power to float in the air. He grabbed Shadow in his aura and began to slam him into the tables, walls, ground and barrels that surrounded the fight before throwing him at Amy. "Amy! Hit me!" Shadow called out before curling into a spinball.

Amy was confused for a second before catching on, she readied her hammer and knocked the spinball back at Silver before it could hit her. Silver was knocked out of the air but managed to stabilise himself before he hit the ground. Blaze rushed Shadow as he landed and tackled him to the ground before creating a dagger made of flames. She held it over his chest and attempted to stab him, only for Omega to grab her by the head and slam her into the ground repeatedly.

"Let her go!" Silver yelled out in rage as he captured the robot in his power. Instead of being thrown away, Omega began to feel a large amount of pressure being applied all across his body. Silver glared as he slowly clenched his fists, causing multiple dents to suddenly appear in Omega's armour.

Silver's concentration was broken when Sally snuck up behind him and slashed his back with an energy blade. Silver cried out in pain and fell to his hands and knees, a black slash mark burnt into his fur. Omega fell backwards, his body covered in dents and exposed wiring that sparked every once in awhile. Shadow rushed over to his friend with a look of concern. "Omega! Are you alright? How bad is the damage?"

Omega's voice glitched out before he hit his voice box to correct it. "As b-bad as it looks-looks."

"You just sit out for now, we'll deal with this and then I can get started on rep-AGH!!" Shadow was cut off as a ball of fire hit his side.

Omega watched as his friend fell to the ground while a very shaken Blaze walked towards him, Silver having recovered enough to restrain Amy and Sally. Omega felt his rage rising as he stood up to block Blaze's path to the wounded hedgehog. Blaze stopped as the robot stood in her way. "Stand aside machine, you are in no condition to fight, do not interfere less I kill you-"She was stopped as a stick was stabbed into her shoulder. "Did...did you just stab me with a-" She was again stopped as Omega punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious.

"Yes, I-I did." He said quickly before falling to the side. After a few seconds, the damage caught up with him as the lights in his eyes went out and his systems shut down. Now, all that was left was Silver and the wounded Shadow.

Silver slowly walked over to his target, who was now breathing heavily while on his hands and knees. Silver stopped when he reached him and knelt down to look at his face. "Is this really the guy that's gonna destroy our world?" He asked out loud.

Shadow just looked to him confused. "What are you...talking about?"

Silver stood up and shook his head. "It doesn't matter, I need to end you if there's any hope for my future. I'm sorry...I wish there was another way...I really do." He spoke softly as he charged a large amount of energy into and open palm. Just as he was about to land the finishing blow he was knocked back by an explosion of fire and confetti.

Silver struggled to keep his balance as something landed between him and Shadow. Pinkie slowly lifted her head and glared at the white hedgehog with a look that would cause even Tails Doll to shiver in fear. Her mane was completely flat, her party bazooka mounted over one shoulder and her teeth clenched tightly in anger. Shadow looked to his daughter and sighed before falling to his side to rest, leaving the rest to the pink ball of rage that had come to his rescue.

"Normally, I'd greet someone new with a happy smile, a very enthusiastic handshake and a warm heartfelt welcome..." Pinkie began as her body sparked with red electricity. "...but you're not getting any of that. You know why?"

Silver gulped. "I don't wanna answer..."

Pinkie growled and aimed her bazooka. "Because you hurt my daddy." With that she pulled the trigger and launched a party rocket towards the hedgehog who only barely dodged it. Immediately after Pinkie charged up a spindash and rocketed towards him. Silver caught her in his aura, but in his weakened state he barely managed to maintain his psychokinesis. "I don't want to fight a kid, can you at least let me explain?!" He pleaded as he threw her to the side.

Pinkie broke free of his hold and launched at him with a homing attack, hitting him square in the chest. "Oh you can explain yourself mister, right after I make your body look like a mouldy chilli dog!"

While their fight continued, Tails and Eggman tended to the wounded. Tails immediately rushed to the girl's to remove their restraints while Eggman dragged Shadow over to Omega and assessed the damage of the robot. "Hmm, circuits are fried, personality core is still intact as are the memory drives...chaos drives are shattered though, I'll need to get him to the Egg Carrier to properly repair and replace the broken parts. How're you holding up?" He asked Shadow as he opened a hatch on Omegas body.

"Not so good...that cat got me...just glad my chest fur isn't burnt..."

Eggman was about to reply when Shard landed beside them. "Damn, what happened here?"

"Shard? What are you doing out here? Wait a minute, DID YOU EAT THE LAST OF THE DEATH EGG COOKIES?!" Eggman exclaimed when he noticed the crumbs around the robots mouth.

"Yes, I did, you had most of the cupcakes. Anyway, I'm here because the sceptre started acting weird and it's kinda been whispering demonic secrets to me the entire way here so..." The robot responded as he tossed the sceptre to his creator.

"What kinda demonic secrets?" Shadow asked out of interest.

"Oh you know, how to open a gateway to hell, something about a dark creature living in the planets core, why the Kardashians are a thing, you get the idea."

Eggman held the sceptre in a way that it faced Shadow. "Yes...it's him...Shadow..."

The sceptre shook violently and emitted a bright purple light, temporarily blinding the three closest to it. Silver and Pinkoe ceased their fighting and turned towards the light in confusion.

When the light died down, the sceptre lay on the ground, void of energy. After a few moments of silence a pillar of dark purple liquid shot out of the ground surrounding the sceptre, circled in the air for a moment before launching itself at Shadow's shadow. The shadow slowly disappeared as a new figure began to drag itself out of the ground. "Well, that's creepy..." Pinkie and Silver muttered in unison.

When the figure had fully climbed out of the ground, it stood and stared at Shadow with its emerald green eyes. What stood was a copy of Shadow, but everything red had been changed to a dark grey, he had no visible mouth and his eyes were dead and green. "What the hell?" Everyone muttered.

"Finally...after ten years...I'm finally free..." His deep and tired voice spoke out. "I've waited a long time, Shadow the Hedgehog..." The figure pointed to the wounded hedgehog.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Shadow asked with a glare, trying to get to his feet.

The figure laughed and hung his head. "Of course...we haven't met yet have we? Time travel is such a complicated thing..." He took slow steps towards Shadow. "I am Mephiles, Mephiles the Dark...you took something dear to me long ago...and now..." Mephiles stopped and turned his head to Pinkie. "I'm going to take something dear to you..."

Mephiles held up an open palm and a ball of unstable purple energy appeared above it. The ball expanded and flew towards Pinkie and Silver. Before either of them could dodge, the ball caught them and trapped them inside. Pinkie suddenly disappeared, Silver vanishing soon after before the ball faded out of existence.

"PINKIE!!!" Shadow painfully screamed out as Mephiles laughed maniacally.

06: The future

200 years into the future

Silver slowly got to his feet as he began to regain consciousness. Putting a hand to his forehead he groaned as she stretched his stiff limbs. When all of his senses returned, his eyes shrunk as he noticed where he was. He stood at the top of a rusty, rundown building. The sky above him blacked out by the dark clouds and smoke. Across the ruined city fires burned endlessly as a large sea of lava flowed between each building, the only safe surfaces being the buildings themselves or the roads and highways above the sea of fire. "No..." He whispered, falling to his knees. "No no no no! Why am I back here?!" He screamed in despair, clutching the sides of his head in frustration. "I couldn't even complete my mission! The future is still the same! Am I just destined to fail?!"

"Uggghhhh...keep it down...I'm tryin' to sleep here..." Silver paused as he heard the tired high pitched voice speak from behind him. Turning around he saw Pinkie laying on her side, trying to get comfortable on the harsh stone surface.

"Wait, what's she doing here? How did..." He stopped as memories started to come back to him, his confused expression turning into a scowl. "Mephiles! He betrayed me! I thought he sent Blaze and I back to the past to save the future, he just sent my back! No, wait a minute...that was his past self..." He groaned as he shook away his headache. "Fuckin' time travel..."

Silver sat down on a pile of rubble a few feet away from the pony, trying to get his thoughts together. First of all he needed to figure out what he would say to Pinkie when she woke up, if she didn't attack him the second she saw him, which was likely to happen. Then he needed to figure out what to do next, how to get back to the past to help Blaze and stop the...

"Oh crap, BLAZE!!!" His sudden outburst caused Pinkie to stir, slowly opening her eyes to see Silver pacing back and forth in worry. "She's still in the past! What if she can't get back?! What will I do if she can't get back?! I can't do all this on my own! I mean seriously-"

Pinkie, now fully awake, took in her surroundings and tilted her head in confusion. "Well, when you're completely lost, it's only logical to solve one problem at a time." She spoke with a smile that turned into a frown as she glared at the white hedgehog. "First problem, that meanie..."

"-I mean that toaster incident wasn't even my fault but I wouldn't have gotten out of it without OHMYGOD!!" Silver yelled as he jumped out of the way of four massive drills and tossing a bomb that was shot towards him off the side of the building. Pinkie stood with her party cannon and party bazooka ready with her three robots surrounding the hedgehog, who immediately threw his hands up in surrender.

"Ok...I know we got off on the wrong foot...but if you are willing to listen, I can explain everything." Silver tried to speak as calmly as possible, but it was kind of hard for him to keep his cool when a huge robot was revving its many drills just a few inches away from his body.

Pinkie narrowed her eyes and lowered her weapons, signaling the robots to back off slightly. "Alright." She began with a smile. "Go ahead."

Silver blinked in surprise and lowered his hands to a more relaxed position. "Oh...I didn't think you'd be so cooperative."

"Why not?" Pinkie asked with her usual happy tone.

"Well I did just try to kill your dad."

"Yeah, it's weird isn't it?"

Silver just stared at the little pony with extreme confusion. "Ok I don't know how to talk to you."

Pinkie giggled. "I tend to have that effect on people I just met."

Silver couldn't help but smile at the soft sound of her giggles. "Oh, I see."

"Now, enough small talk, how about that explanation?" Pinkie asked while she pulled a small bag of popcorn out of her mane, expecting a long, drawn out lecture on the events that led up to where they were now.

"Me and my friend Blaze have been trying to find a way to permanently get rid of the monster that destroyed this world since any time we manage to beat it, it just regenerates, so after one of our battles with the monster this guy called Mephiles showed up and told us he found a way to put Iblis, the monster, down for good. So he took us to his hideout, showed us the records he had that led up to when Iblis was released, and told us that Shadow the Hedgehog was the one responsible for unleashing Iblis onto our world. So to try and save our future he sent us back in time with his time powers so we could kill your dad and save the world." He stated simply before clapping his hands together.

Pinkie shrugged and put the popcorn back in her mane. "Not the weirdest thing I've ever heard, I believe you." She said while opening her case and recalling her robots, which all shrank down into their cubes before being safely stored away.

"It's not?" Silver tilted his head, confused at how nonchalant Pinkie seemed to be acting about everything.

"Spend a week with me and my family and you'd be lucky to walk out with your sanity intact." Pinkie giggled as she walked to the edge of the building. "Now, are you gonna stare at me all day or are we gonna go on an amazing adventure through the apocalypse to find a way to travel back to the present?"

Silver slapped himself and shook his head, trying to focus. "Not much we can do, I don't know anyone other than Mephiles that can travel through time."

"Well then we need to find a chaos emerald."

"A what?"

Pinkie smiled as she pulled her emerald out of her mane and held it up to Silvers face. "Magical gems that have almost unlimited power if you know how to use 'em, we just need another one of these babies and then we can use them to travel back."

Silver scratched his head while holding the gem in his other hand. "That seems oddly convenient and a little confusing..."

"Welcome to my world Silvy." Pinkie sang as she took the emerald from him.

"Wait hold on, I never told you my name."

Pinkie just pat him on the head and hummed a little tune to herself as she made her way back towards the edge. "I already knew silly billy, the writer has said your name a bunch of times already."

"...what are you talking about?"

"Oh I'm just rambling, now come on, adventure!" Pinkie quickly shouted before jumping off the side of the building.

Panicking, Silver ran over and quickly caught her with his powers. "Are you crazy?! There's nothing but lava and hard rock down there!"

"I was gonna land on that highway down there! I wanted to do a super hero landing!" Pinkie complained with an adorable pout.

Silver gently floated the two of them down onto the broken highway and groaned. "This is gonna be my whole day isn't it?

"You're the one choosing to stop and make sense of my adorable antics, that's just gonna make things hard for you~" Pinkie sang out as she skipped along the road towards a less broken part of the city.

Silver groaned again and followed behind her, slouching in defeat. As they were about to step off the highway onto more stable ground, a pillar of lava shot up in front of them, blocking their path. Pinkie just blinked in confusion as Silvers eyes shrank. "Oh no..."

A large, towering figure pulled itself up from the sea of lava and glared down at the two. "What is that thing?" Pinkie asked with more excitement than Silver was comfortable with.

"That...is Iblis."

Anyway, Pinkie and Silver are stuck in the future with a giant lava monster towering over them. Sounds fun right?

06: The plan

The Present

Shadows hand reached out to where his daughter once stood, his pupils the size of pinpricks and his whole body shaking in anger, confusion and grief.

Mephiles ceased his evil laughter and looked down at the hedgehog. "How does it feel Shadow?" He asked as he lifted a hand to where Pinkie and Silver had been. "How does it feel to see something so dear to you be taken away right in front of you?"

Shadow couldn't move, his eyes locked onto the empty space in front of him. Pinkie was taken from him, either dead or in some unfamiliar far off place, and he just watched. His open hand that was reaching out closed itself into a fist as he punched the ground, tears forming in his eyes as he looked to the stone floor.

Mephiles remained silent as he watched his enemy suffer, a sick, sadistic pleasure rushing through him. As he was about to taunt the mentally broken hedgehog, he was sent spinning through the air as Eggman punched him in the side of the face before pulling out two blasters and unleashing a barrage of lasers and energy blasts onto the demon, Shard joining in with his own rapid blasts. The two had an unholy raging fire in their eyes as they reduced Mephiles to purple dust.

The two ceased their bombardment with heavy breath, watching as Mephiles slowly reformed while clapping his hands slowly. "My my, such rage, such hatred, such ferocity, it's almost overwhelming." He jumped out of the way of Sally and Amy running up to attack him, landing on one of the rooftops. "As entertaining as this has been, I have work to do. We will meet again soon Shadow the Hedgehog...you cannot begin to imagine what I have planned for you." With that, he summoned another ball of purple energy which expanded around him, causing him to disappear.

"Well, at least we know it's just some kind of teleportation..." Shard muttered to himself, glaring at where Mephiles once stood.

Sally and Amy growled at Mephiles' threat and ran up to Shadow, helping him up and trying to pull him out of his shaken trance. Sally frowned after multiple failed attempts and slapped him. Shadow blinked a few times before he was brought back to reality. Sighing, he buried his face in his hands, struggling to contain his emotions. Amy gently pat his back while Sally pulled his hands away from his face and made him look at her. "Hey, it's ok, we'll get her back or she'll find her own way back. Now isn't the time for feeling bad, what would Pinkie feel if she saw you in this state?"

Shaking his head a few times, Shadow nodded and let out a breath. "Alright...I'm ok...thank you." He spoke in a quiet emotionless tone.

Eggman turned back to Omega and pulled out his communicator. "Mecha Sonic, come to the location of the Egg-O-Matic and pick up E-123 Omega and take him back to the repair ward on the Carrier." After a few moments, Mecha Sonic landed a few feet away from the doctor, grabbed under Omega's arms and flew off with that damaged warbot in tow. "I'm not sure how long it will take until the repairs are complete. What do you plan to do now?" He asked while climbing back into his vehicle.

"Find Pinkie and bring her back." All except Tails said at once.

Eggman shook his head. "Do any of you even know how you're going to find her?" No response from anyone. "If she was just on some other continent she'd have teleported back already, she could have been thrown through time and space for all we know."

"I agree, Pinkie would already have come back if she were still on the planet. Give Eggman and I some time and we can come up with some way of finding her. In the meantime, you can keep yourself occupied with hunting down Snively." Tails added as he took to the air beside Eggman.

"Shadow should probably go to the hospital, these burns seem pretty serious." Amy stated as she poked the burn, causing Shadow to flinch.

"I'm fine, it's just a small burn, it will heal." Shadow said in protest.

"Well, it's either go to the hospital, or you get to be he one to tell Rouge about what happened to Pinkie." Sally said with a smirk.

In a split second, Shadow had disappeared with a trail of fire leading to the hospital.

"Wait...who is going to tell Rouge?" Tails asked in confusion.

"NOT IT!!!" Shouted almost everyone.

"Not I-DAMN!!!" Shard cursed.

"Well...good luck to you." Eggman laughed as he flew away with Tails following behind him.

Amy and Sally ran off to hunt Snively while Shard stood there. frozen in place.

"I hate everyone..." He complained before slowly walking off to find Rouge, preparing to be torn limb from mechanical limb. Unaware of the mechanical figure watching the events unfold.

Unknown Location

Snively stood in his command centre, watching the scene from the visual link of his robotic spy. "Interesting, so that pony has been removed from this plain of existence? This may just turn out in my favour. However, there's still the risk of her returning, I'll need to make sure she never comes back."

"And how exactly are ya going to do that brainiac?" A ruff and cocky voice asked from behind Snively.

"If you must know, I have studied the Solaris project and have taken note of Mephiles' powers, all I need to do is find the period of time that the annoying pony was sent to and use the chaos emeralds I acquired to send a minion through a time portal." He explained with an annoyed tone.

"Pfft, what good is a minion gonna be against that pony? Just send me, I'd at least do a better job than one of your bots, I've been itching for some action for weeks."

Snively smirked and nodded. "Not a bad idea. Well then, when the time portal is opened I will leave the situation in your hands, Scourge(1)."

The green hedgehog wearing a black leather jacket with flame patterns of the sleeves stepped out of the darkness and smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. "Finally."

Scourge is from the Sonic Archie comics, he is a version of Sonic from another dimension, where Robotnik is good and the mobians are evil, he became green after absorbing energy from the master emerald.

I had wanted to have Shadow go into a blind rage, but I'd be writing myself into a corner as it would lead to things that go against the current plan.

06: Iblis

In da future

Silver grabbed Pinkie and sprinted towards more stable ground while the large looming figure of Iblis swung his giant fist towards the damaged highway, destroying it easily. Silver jumped as the highway collapsed under him and used his power to fly over to a fallen skyscraper. He dropped Pinkie once they reached the fallen building and the two began running to the other side.

Iblis roared and swung his gigantic arm through the air, sending a wave of lava balls off towards the two. Acting quickly, Silver turned around and grabbed a nearby oil tanker buried under some rubble before throwing it towards the incoming swarm of lava. "Shoot it!" He yelled to Pinkie, who smirked, pulled out her Party Bazooka and fired a rocket towards the tanker.

As the tanker was about to pass by the lava balls, the rocket reached it, causing a huge explosion which triggered a chain reaction as the lava balls exploded one after the other. "That was so cool! Let's do it again!" Pinkie exclaimed with excitement.

"How about no?!" Silver shouted back as they continued running.

"So, what's the plan?" Pinkie asked as she casually skated beside the white hedgehog.

"The plan is we run!"

Pinkie looked at him confused. "What? Why don't we just battle him? It could be fun~"

"Pinkie, if I could fight him right now I would, but, and I know this is hard to believe, there are people in the buildings!" Silver explained as he jumped over a pile of smashed concrete.

Pinkie frowned and looked out towards another building, noticing a few humans and mobians hiding away, afraid for their lives, shaking in fear.

"We need to lead him out of the city! Less people will die that way!"

Pinkie's mane began to deflate as she started to slow down, catching a glimpse of a child cowering alone, her ears picking up its distant cries.

"No..." She whispered as shadows appeared over her eyes.

"What?" Silver stopped running and looked at the pony in confusion, although soon realised they would be vulnerable to attack and readied his power to block anything thrown at them.

"No." Pinkie said louder as she turned around and began to walk towards the towering lava monster.

"What do you think you're doing?! Did you not hear me about the whole less people dying thing?!" Silver exclaimed as he tried to grab her with his power.

She stood still for only a moment before she broke free of his hold, pulling out her now glowing chaos emerald that began to emit negative energy. Silver could only watch as Pinkie continued to walk towards Iblis.

Iblis' three green reptilian eyes locked onto the pink pony, letting out a mighty, blood curdling roar as he crashed his two giant fists into the sides of the fallen building, challenging her to attack.

Pinkie suddenly vanished before reappearing in front of Iblis' upper eye. She glared into his eye before curling into a spindash, only, she didn't stop picking up speed. She just kept spinning more and more violently until finally she shot straight through Iblis' head with a powerful blast of speed.

Iblis roared in pain and tried to strike her with tentacles of lava, only to have them blasted to pieces with Chaos Spears. Pinkie then used Chaos Control again to teleport herself in front of his other eye. But she didn't attack, she landed on the cracked rock that he used as armour and grabbed the sides of his eye, glaring into it.

"Listen here...and listen good...there's one thing I can't stand, out of everything there is one thing I can't look at positively, and that thing is taking away the smiles of even just one person." She began in a low voice, Iblis becoming still, listening to her voice. "You've not only taken away the smiles of these people...you've taken their hope, their homes, their memories, their happiness, friends, family, their very lives!" She yelled in absolute anger, glaring into the monsters eye with pure rage. "I know I can't put you down permanently right now...but when I find a way...and I will..." Pinkie's eyes glowed white as her fur and mane became darker, her chaos emerald starting to become grey with negative energy. "I will wipe you from the face of every single reality or timeline."

Iblis roared in defiance as he opened his large mouth, Pinkie was knocked into the air, taken by surprise. Her chaos emerald fell out of her hoof and her body returned to normal before Iblis snapped his mouth shut around her.

Before he could swallow, a series of steel support beams stabbed into his body, two piecing his eyes, blinding him. Silver stood with his hands stretched out, breathing heavily, with a nearby destroyed construction site now lacking any steel beams. "Now...fall..." He gasped out in exhaustion.

Iblis roared in pain, causing Pinkie and the emerald to drop out of his mouth. With the very little amount of power left in him, Silver caught the two and floated them down to him before falling to his hands and knees in exhaustion. Iblis gave out one final roar before his body sank into the sea of lava below to regenerate.

Silver sighed in relief and rolled onto his back to rest, Pinkie sitting next to him with her mane over her eyes. "So...wanna explain what that was?" Silver asked as he felt his power starting to build up again.

Pinkie remained silent, her mane still deflated slightly.

Silver slowly sat up and reached a hand over to her, brushing her mane to the side, when he did, he saw tears starting to build up in her eyes. "Oh...are...are you ok?"

Pinkie sniffles before opening her mouth. "Why?" She asked quietly. Silver didn't know how to respond, so he stayed quiet. "Why did all of this have to happen to the people? Why is everything so miserable?" She asked in a tone that broke Silvers heart.

"Well...that's what I've been trying to figure out...it's why I went after your dad." Silver spoke softly, stroking her back in an effort to comfort her. "No one knows why Iblis was released. His vessel may have cried, it may have perished without finding a suitable replacement beforehand, there could be many reasons. But even if I don't know how it happened, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it never happens in the first place, to make sure this horrible future never, ever has to happen...even if that means I cease to exist..."

Pinkie looked to him and saw the pain in his eyes, he almost looked desperate. "Who did you lose?" She asked.

Silver looked away and clenched his fists. "Everyone...everyone but Blaze..."

Pinkie didn't know what to say, her mind still felt clouded from when the negative chaos energy took control of her. After a few moments of stillness and silence, Pinkie placed a hoof on Silvers hand.

Silver never took his eyes off of the horrific landscape before him as he turned his hand over and grasped Pinkies hoof gently.

The two sat in silence, taking their time to recover from both physical and mental exhaustion.

06: Idle chatting in the apocalypse

The future

A large truck that had fallen on its side was coated in a light blue aura and tossed to the side, clearing the half destroyed road. Pinkie and Silver had reached the edge of the city and were now headed to the more rural areas in search of another emerald. "You sure it's this way Pinkie? I'm not really familiar with the areas outside of the city and I'm pretty sure it's just fields of ash and rubble out here." Silver asked as he picked up a large rock with his power and shot it towards a flying creature made of fire, killing it and causing it to vanish in a puff of smoke.

Pinkie nodded and held out her own emerald. "My emerald is reacting to another emerald in this direction. And don't worry, we're headed into an area I'm familiar with...won't be pleasant to see my home in ashes but the sooner we get the emerald the sooner we can leave this horrible future behind and stop it from ever happening in the first place!" She responded with an unusual amount of optimism after such an emotional episode during their fight with Iblis.

Silver raised a brow and placed a hand on her back. "Are you doing ok? You seem really happy even though you just basically had an emotional breakdown about an hour ago."

"Hm? Oh, I'm just a generally happy pony, if I'm not happy, then the people around me aren't happy, so I have to. Plus there's no point in being a frowny pants when there's work to do." Pinkie replied with a smile as she happily trotted along, humming a soft tune as she went.

Silver was completely dumbfounded at the pink pony's sudden change in attitude. A small part of him was jealous, wishing that he could be that positive about anything, a larger part of him was just confused.

Shaking his head he began to follow after her. "This pony is going to be the end of me...at least with Blaze I knew what she was going to do or say...even if she was a bit of a tsundere at times. Wait, what the hell is a tsundere?" Silver sighed as he felt an oncoming migraine. "I've been hanging around this tiny horse too long, starting to go mad."

As Silver trudged along, leaving the city limits, a swirling vortex appeared on the rooftop of one of the large buildings that still stood strong. Two figures jumped out of the vortex, one being Scourge and the other being a figure that I'm going to reveal later. "Damn, this place looks like hell on its period." The alternate Sonic muttered as he took in his surroundings.

"Stay focused Scourge." Snively's voice spoke through the robotic figure at Scourge's side. "That annoying pony should be close by, don't screw this up."

"Relax boss, ain't nobody get the best of the king." Scourge replied confidently as he straightened his jacket. "Now, to find the little bug."

A series of beeps caught Scourge's attention, causing him to turn around and find the robot at the edge of the rooftop pointing downwards.

"What's up MP? You find something useful or are ya just short circuiting again?" He joked as he reached the robot, looking down at where it was pointing, seeing Silver and Pinkie walking towards the outskirts of Ruined Westopolis. "Heh, well I'll be damned." Adjusting the sunglasses on the top of his head, Scourge turned to his robot partner. "Well, lets go deal with Ponko and her little boyfriend then."

"Hey, Pinkie, think you could answer a question for me?" Silver asked.

"What's up?"

"You said we were headed to your home, did you live in Soleanna before the flames?"

"Huh? Oh, no, we were just vacationing there until some meanie started causing trouble, then our vacation turned into a mission." Pinkie answered while focusing on her emerald, trying not to look as they passed a ruined version of The Chaotix building.

"Wait, so are we even in Soleanna right now?"

"Nope, Soleanna has never had large cities like this, guess that guy that looked like a crappy recolour of my dad sent us to another location when sending us to the future."

"That seems like some lame excuse for some lazy plothole or something..."

"Yep!"

Silver rolled his eyes, just accepting whatever randomness came his way, already learning that questioning anything would just result in more headaches. "So, you lived around this area?"

"Mhm." Pinkie hummed as she pulled out of of her cubes and launched IOTA into the air. "Go look up ahead, see if the emerald is around my house." With the order given, IOTA zipped off into the distance.

"What was life like?" Silver asked with interest, spotting a flame creature and crushing it with his power.

Pinkie hummed for a moment as she hopped over some rubble and jumped across a gap in the road that led to another sea of fire. "Well life back home is great, aside from the occasional world ending disaster that needs dealing with and any emotional stuff, other than that everyone is usually happy and things are peaceful in certain ways. Although with my family there's always something weird and fun happening." She said with a slight giggle.

"I take it everyone in your family, bar your father, are as crazy as you?" Silver replied with a dry tone, not wanting to imagine a family full of different versions of Pinkie.

"Well most of my destructive and violent tendencies come from my nanny Omega, he's probably the most unhinged one in the family, other than me of course. Momma is calm most of the time, but she can get pretty angry sometimes, then she ends up being like a rabid wolverine high on coke. And my dad is pretty relaxed most of the time, but can get pretty moody, he's still dealing with a lot of stuff that I'm trying to help him with. I wonder if I can consider Sally family yet...eh question for after she and daddy get married." After this Pinkie began to ramble on about things she and her family had done during her life with them, to both entertain herself and Silver, but also to keep herself distracted from the ruined buildings that once housed her friends and family.

As they walked and talked Silver also shared some parts of his life that weren't filled with running from a huge lava demon that seemed to destroy everything and everyone. Yeah, there were very few stories without that.

Eventually the two came across IOTA perched on a fallen lamppost across the street from the run down Team Dark household.

Pinkie sighed at the sight of her ruined home and shook her head, holding her emerald up to the house and sensing a strong reaction. "The emerald is in there." She muttered as she began to slowly walk towards the building. Before she could get close, her Pinkie sense started acting up and she spun backwards to avoid an incoming green spinball.

Pinkie landed right beside Silver, both taking fighting stances while IOTA floated next to Pinkie protectively.

When the dust settled around where the spinball had hit, Scourge chuckled and dusted himself off. "Gotta give ya credit kid, you're fast."

"Who are you? Why'd you attack Pinkie?" Silver demanded, holding Scourge in place with his power, only for his hold to be broken as something struck him in the back, causing him to fall to his knees.

The robot jumped from behind Silver to Scourge's side, the design of which caused Pinkie's eyes to widen. "No way."

"Now then, Metal Pinkie, how about we make this quick?" Scourge asked the metallic pony as he took a fighting stance, the robot Pinkie Pie moving into an attack position and locking onto Pinkie.

Pinkie helped Silver to his feet, pulled out her other cubes and Party Bazooka while shaking her head. "What is with our world and robot clones?" She asked with slight annoyance.

06: Plans into action

The present

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Rouge roared in unholy anger towards Shard who was cowering under her gaze and somehow managing to sweat from his robotic body.

"U-Um...that Pinkie was thrown through time and space by a grey version of Shadow...heh heh heh pleasedon'thurtme." He blurted out before Rouge roared like a lion and picked him up, crushed him into a ball and threw him out of the window of her hotel room.

Rouge then quickly changed into her mission suit (her usual clothes) and flew out the window towards Eggman's outpost at supersonic speeds.

"MAMAS COMING BABY!!!"

In Eggman's robotic repair ward

While Tails and Eggman worked on trying to find a way to track Pinkie's location, Omega stood deactivated in a large capsule with multiple mechanical arms working all over his body, repairing his inner workings first before fitting him with a new, stronger armour plating.

"Ok, I think we've got a signal, it's faint, but even if we can determine the approximate moment in time and space we should be able to narrow down her location faster." Tails stated as his fingers typed away in the console he was using while Eggman worked on the blueprints for a device that would allow them to go after Pinkie.

"Be careful not to lock onto a moment ahead of Pinkie, we don't want to risk us missing her, or worse." Eggman warned as he nodded in satisfaction with his plans. "If we're doing this we'll need a chaos emerald, I'll send Mecha and Tails doll to retrieve it while Silver Sonic and Metal gather the materials, we can handle the construction with the help of the Black Arms I have on board."

Just then Shard's head burst through the wall, causing the two geniuses to jump. "Yeah...so uh...Rouge took the news well..." The poor robot managed to say with a nervous chuckle before deactivating.

Before either of the two could react, Rouge burst through the door to the lab with an unholy fire in her eyes, breathing very heavily and looking like she wanted to rip them both to shreds, put them back together then rip them apart again. "You both better have found a way to fix this, or I swear to God I will tear your tails and your moustache off painfully and turn them into a scarf." She spoke with a deep, demonic voice that caused both of them to freeze with fear.

"W-Well, Eggman just finished the basic plans for a device to go to where Pinkie currently is in time and space, we just need to build it, we'll work as fast as we can." Tails assured the raging bat, smiling nervously.

"You will work faster than you can! I don't want anyone to rest until-" Rouge was broken out of her rage when her eyes fell on Omega, who was still being repaired with most of the damage on his armour still visible. "Omega!" She shouted in worry as she flew over to the glass he was behind and placed a hand on it. "What happened to him?"

"We was severally damaged in the battle between the group and a white hedgehog and a cat that were looking for Shadow." Eggman explained as he sent the order for Metal and Silver Sonic to gather the materials for the device. "I'm equipping him with an even stronger armour plating which should help prevent him from taking this sort of damage again."

Rouge remained silent as she watched Eggman's machines repair her teammate, letting the two get back to work.

Hospital

Shadow slowly walked out of the hospital with bandages around his torso and a tube of burn ointment in his hand. "Damn, the hospitals here work fast, what was the bill again?" He asked himself as he pulled out a piece of paper. "Lets see...300 rings for minor burns?! That's almost an entire months worth of rent money, I swear if we weren't loaded I'd be suing this place..." He groaned as he put away the paper and ointment. "Now, what to do about the Pinkie situation, Sally and Amy are already looking for Snively, Tails and Eggman are working on getting Pinkie back...guess I could try to track down this Mephiles character, maybe that cat knows something." He spoke to himself while thinking of what to do, but he was taken away from his thoughts as another familiar voice reached his ears.

"Hey Shadow! Is that you?" Looking over to his right, Shadow spotted Knuckles running towards him.

"Knuckles? What are you doing here?" Shadow asked curiously. "Are you leaving the Master Emerald unguarded again?"

Knuckles came to a screeching halt as he reached the black Hedgehog. "What? Oh no, I got Mighty and Ray looking after the Master Emerald while I'm here, I came here because Tails called me about some emergency, everything ok? What's with the bandages?" He asked, his tone becoming more concerned as he spotted the bandages around Shadow's torso.

"No, everything isn't fine. Pinkie has been thrown through time and space and Snively is back with his own robot army here in Soleanna, the bandages are for some burns I received from fighting a pyro-kinetic cat."

Knuckles just blinked and scratched his head. "Wow...that's...a whole lot of somethings. Anyway, you need my help with anything?"

"Sure, I'm gonna try to track down the guy that took Pinkie from me, but I'm gonna need to question that cat first, you can come along if you want."

Knuckles pounded his fists together and smirked. "Alright, lets go question this kitty then find this creep and beat his ass into the ground."

Shadow nodded and sped off, Knuckles following close behind.

The future

Pinkie jumped out of the way of Metal Pinkie's spindash and blasted her clone point blank with her Party Bazooka, sending both her and her robot copy flying in opposite directions. Silver grabbed Scourge in his power and slammed him into the ground, only for Scourge to dash towards him and hit him with an uppercut. IOTA flew by while shooting at Scourge, who dodged the flying robots fire and knocked it away with a homing attack. Kappa burst out of the ground behind Scourge, revved up his drills and smacked the green Hedgehog away, Scourge screaming in pain as the drills slightly pierced his skin, leaving behind drops of blood.

While Scourge recovered, Lambda helped Silver to his feet before hopping off to assist Pinkie. Silver wiped a drop of blood from his lips and lifted a car with his power. Scourge got to his feet and narrowly escaped being crushed by the ruined vehicle. Silver then picked up multiple broken metal pipes and spun them around violently before shooting them towrads his opponent. Scourge blasted awayat top speed to avoid the attack, returning with a violent spindash that knocked Silver back, but he managed to stay in his feet.

"Well...you're pretty good for a shrimp, guess even in the future...Hedgehog's ain't pushovers." Scourge laughed, ignoring the pain of his wounds. "You got spunk kid, I'll give you that much, but my beef ain't with you, it's that little pink rat. So run along and I won't have to tear you to shreds as well, as much as I really want to."

Silver rolled his eyes and took a fighting stance.

Scourge smirked and punched his fist into his palm. "Alright then." He groped before dashing forward and grabbing Silver by the neck. Scourge sped off towards a leaning skyscraper and ran along the side of it, slamming Silver into it and dragging him through the metal and concrete. Silver clenched his fists and grabbed Scourge again, throwing him off of him and launching him into a building.

Pinkie and MP were locked in a mirror battle, any move Pinkie made was copied perfectly by her robot clone, who stared into her eyes with a soulless glare. The two split apart before revving unp their spindashes and launching into each other. Sparks flew as the two spinballs grinned against each other. Pinkie began to lose ground slowly, being bushed back by MP, only for the robot to be blasted away by Lambda who then unleashed a barrage of bombs and other explosives from its arm cannons as Pinkie got a chance to take a breather and think.

Lambda stopped his barrage and stood at Pinkie's side, waiting for the smoke to clear. When the wind carried the smoke away, they saw that Metal Pinkie was protected by a spinning diamond shaped force field.

"Oh, great, it has Metal Sonic's black shield." Pinkie groaned in annoyance as her metal copy deactivated the shield and let out a metallic growl. 'It may have his black shield and possibly his overdrive attack, but I doubt it has his copy ability or the ability to use chaos control.' She thought as she tapped Lambda's side. The robot nodded and hopped away while tossing bombs to the mecha pony.

Metal Pinkie watched Lambda as it batted the bombs away with it's head. It's eyes started to glow brighter and a large beam blasted out of them. As soon as the beam fired, the world froze in time and Pinkie dashed towards the robot and began to repeatedly kick, punch, shoot and spindash it before jumping over to Lambda and moving him out of the way before her chaos control ran out and all the attacks Pinkie had thrown at MP registered at once. MP let out a pained metallic scream as it collapsed under the excessive damage, a portal opening up under it letting it drop down before disappearing. "Alright, now that the faker is taken care of, you go find IOTA and Kappa while I'll help Silver with Scourge."

Lambda ruffled Pinkie's mane before hopping off to fulfill his task, earning a small giggle from the party pony. Pinkie then teleported to Silver's location, but picked a poor time as she teleported right in front of the white Hedgehog as Scourge charged him with a homing attack, resulting in Pinkie being struck in the side instead.

"Pinkie!" Silver exclaimed in surprise and worry as he grabbed her in his power and set her down on a rooftop.

He floated down to her to check if she was alright, finding she was unconscious. Silver stood still as his anger began to rise. Seeing her emerald stick out of her mane slightly, he grabbed it and felt it's energy flow through him. Turning around he saw Scourge smirking as he stood on top of a rusted crane. "Awww, is the little hero upset that I knocked his little girlfriend out? Well don't you worry none, imma send you both to hell at the same time!" He yelled as he leapt forward and charged them with a homing attack.

Silver growled and gripped the emerald tightly as he jumped towards Scourge. Time seemed to slow down for him as the emerald's energy reached his brain, a technique and two words being planted in his consciousness as his anger tapped into the negative energy of the emerald. As Scourge's attack was about to reach him, he glowed red and yelled out two words.

"CHAOS....BLAST!!!"

Update took forever and Silver is able to use more than just chaos control. There's a few chaos abilities other than just blast, spear and control I think, I'm gonna look into those.
