Sorry for the sudden ending, but I'd rather give this a quick ending rather than leave it to rot.

I used to love writing this story, but now it's more of a chore, and I don't have the motivation to continue further, and most likely never will. I want to get this, and other stories done, before moving onto better and newer stories that I hope you will read.

Again, I'm sorry for ending to abruptly, but it has to happen.

A few months later

It was done. Hack and the other Maniacs had been destroyed, and the bombs disposed of.

The final fight had taken the life of Metal, who had sacrificed himself to stop Hacks last ditch effort to destroy everything using Zane, who had been possessed by a Nightmare and given unholy power with the energy of the Apocalypse Magic that was used to power the bombs.

The Nightmare was banished to the void, and Zane had finally come to his senses.

Ruby mourned the loss of her friend, who had come with her from her ruined reality, but took peace in that fact that his soul could enter their own afterlife, so he could be with his lover's once again.

Eventually, Nathan and Sonata got married just a day before their eggs hatched. So their honeymoon had to be delayed so they could care for their newborns. Ruby got to see her brothers and sisters again.

Lyric and Amnesia began to spend more and more time together, sometimes they trained, other times the just enjoyed each other's company, while being an adorable sight to anyone who witnessed their shy and awkward romantic actions.

Sapphire began to focus on gaining more self control with the help of Epidemic and her father, eventually being allowed to use her weapons again.

With the final fight against Xram and the Nightmares, some of the displaced family was lost, but thanks to Ruby's warnings, the casualties were not as severe as on her timeline. But some loses were unavoidable, and one loss caused Lyric to fall into a deep depression. He eventually snapped himself out of it and as he was mature enough, set out in his Legendary Lyric form out into the multiverse to help those he could.

Peace came about, and most were happy.

Bonds repaired, regrets let go of, and love shared.

Our huge robotic protagonist and those around him had gone through so much, and grew and changed with each new event.

But now, a time of peace and calmness came about.

Those that had fallen to themselves, had rose up from their ashes and were born again, like a Phoenix.
