Before we get into this chapter here is what Scorpan looks like
Nathan, Krystal, Lyric and Sapphire looked up at the vast red mountain ranges that they had come face to face with. Nathan looked around and took in a breath of air. "Ahhhh, I've missed this place." He stepped a bit away from the group and started to grow until he was the size of the fully grown Tirek.
"Why'd you need to grow?" Krystal asked as the group walked onto Nathan's open hand.
"It's easier to traverse the rough terrain at the size, this is a country that houses Gaia's largest beings, hence the name." He set them all behind his eye and started walking. "We're stopping by Scorpan first then we move on to investigating the Maniac sightings." Nathan walked over what was a hill to him but a mountain to the rest of the group effortlessly. Lyric sat comfortably between two large wires that emitted a soft wave of heat while reading his children's book. Sapphire was using her modified Telsa Claw to zap small critters to pass the time, the modifications added a larger range of fire and conserved ammo. Krystal continued to tinker with her soon to be robot companion. "Hey Krystal, whatcha building this time?" Nathan asked as he moved a house sized boulder out of his way.
"Well, I've been wanting to try building a robot for some time now, figured I'd try building my own version of Clank before moving onto bigger machines." Nathan chuckled, ever since the day that Krystal had gained access to her hidden programming that gave her vast knowledge on tech and sciences she had been working on small projects like this one.
A half hour later Nathan walked to the top of a large mountain and looked down at the land bellow.
The many gigantic creatures that housed the mountains that they had created and turned into homes walked about with their daily routines. Things were peaceful with the village of Giants, no one disturbed their lands or territories other than a few passing travelers or explorers, even then they mainly avoided the behemoths that populated the land. One giant half snake/ half bear looked to the ground and spotted a shadow in the shape of a familiar figure. Looking up at the mountain that separated the village from the wastelands he spotted the giant silhouette of Nathan standing at the top of it, the sun rising behind him.
The snake/bear smiled and rushed towards the tallest mountain, home to Scorpan, the King of the land of behemoths. He entered through the large entrance and stopped as he reached the room that Scorpan was currently resting in. "Sire!" Scorpan sat up at the sound of his friend.
"Yes Talonor?"
"Sire, 'he' has returned." Scorpan smiled at this and got to his feet.
"Well then, I should go greet him then shouldn't I?" Talonor led Scorpan out of the cave and pointed to the silhouette on the mountain. Scorpan squinted his eyes and chuckled. "He certainly knows how to be dramatic about these things doesn't he?"
Spotting his old friend Nathan slid down the mountain on his feet, jumping before reaching the end and landing while skidding to a halt.
"Nathan my friend!" Nathan chuckled at his name being called and turned to the approaching Scorpan.
"Scorpan old buddy!" The two entered a strong hug that was also a test of strength. "I missed you."
"As did I you, it has been far too long since our last encounter. I wish we had parted on better terms though." The two separated and Nathan placed his hand onto his friends shoulder.
"Hey, what your brother did is not your fault. Be glad you realised the beauty in Equestria before you did something that I would have to beat you for." Scorpan chuckled and grabbed Nathan's hand in a firm respectful grip.
"You always know what to say, I am surprised the females are not throwing themselves at your feet yet." Both looked over to the female giants who were whistling innocently.
"Well I'm glad they aren't, I managed to find my soulmate and she is already with child." Krystal was confused at this news, and the way he was speaking.
"Is that so? Well then congratulations are in order. I wish for your young to be born with great health. Tell me, who is the one that managed to steal your heart of metal?" Scorpan asked, wrapping an arm around Nathan's shoulder.
"One of the sirens, Sonata Dusk. It is quiet the tale, it actually took place in another world where the sirens had been banished."
"It sounds as if this will take an entire feast to tell the full tale." Nathan laughed.
"Always with the food Scorpan, soon you will lose your prime if you continue to eat so much." Scorpan looked to his stomach and patted it, causing every giant present to start laughing.
"You are lucky that you're one of my spirit brothers, or else I would have tore you apart centuries ago." Scorpan said as he patted Nathan on the back. "Come, we must celebrate your return. I trust you will be staying for longer than last time?"
"It seems to be that way, I am actually here on a mission from Princess Solena herself." Scorpans smile faltered.
"What has happened now?" He asked.
Nathan sighed. "There has been reported Maniac sightings in the lands near here."
"That is not proof enough that those monsters have returned."
"Tirek had the emblem on his arm Scorpan." The giant froze and looked to his necklace that he his mother hand made for him and his brother.
"I see..." Nathan placed a hand on Scorpans back to reassure him.
"Don't worry, we won't let another incident like what happened with your father ever come to play again."
"We?" Nathan reached behind his eye and pulled out the three passengers. Scorpan looked down at the tiny figures.
"Yes, we. Your remember Krystal don't you?" Nathan asked.
"How could I forget, she aided you and I in the battle against my foolish brother. I do not however recognise the two children." Lyric cowered slightly while Sapphire looked up in awe.
"Well let me introduce you. Scorpan, these are my children, Sapphire and Lyric. Kids, this is your uncle Scorpan."
Scorpan just looked to Nathan confused and raised a finger. "I have several questions."
