The Third and Fourth Spring Locks
Chapter 8: Decisions
Previous Chapter Next ChapterI waited for Sophia to wake up and as I did, I had nothing to do but look at some lights in the distance and keep a watch out for any possible predators that may seek to harm us. Thankfully the forest was almost completely silent and the lights from the town nearby didn't reach where we were so there was nothing to worry about.
I waited for what felt like hours until Sophia woke up.
"Morning Tom." One thing that had been bothering me was those ponies from before who had seen us. The last thing I needed was a hunting team coming through the woods to find us. But what also was rattling my brain was if we were stuck here for good as I had no clue how to get back to Freddy's which means we might have to move on or make a life here, doing goodness knows what.
"Morning love." I waited for her to wake up properly before asking the question that has been bothering me. "Sophia. Do you think we're stuck here?" She stood next to me as she went back into her suit.
"Who knows. That puppet sent us here, but I have no clue why." I was starting to run out of options. If we were stuck here then what could we do? Just leave these suits and pass on was somewhat of an option but I didn't feel ready yet. I felt like something was missing. Plus I wouldn't want to leave them in this world where goodness knows what will happen. These ponies have likely not seen humans before so who knows what they will do to our bodies if they find these suits.
Twilight and the rest of her friends were in the library and panicking among themselves about what they saw in the woods.
"We need to tell Celestia about this." Twilight argued with her friends about what they could have seen in the forest. Most didn't like the idea of it being a golem with a soul trapped inside it but they knew it was a very likely possibility.
"Hold on. You don't need to inform Celestia immediately Twilight. We can do this ourselves. If its just some metal tin then what are we worried about?" Rainbow Dash did have a point but Twilight took a count of her friends.
"Girls. Where's Fluttershy?" They all looked around and couldn't see her.
"Did that thing get her?" Pinkie Pie asked and this made them more worried.
"You know what. Forget the letter. We need to get Fluttershy." All of them rushed out the door and towards the forest where they first saw the creature, but before they could enter it, they saw a familiar yellow and pink colour combo in the distance, at the edge of the forest.
"Fluttershy!" Running up to her, Twilight covered her in a purple light that emitted from her horn.
"She's not injured, at all." Looking over he body, she did see what looked like a claw marking made out of dirt on her side and with her being unharmed, she could only guess on thing. "I don't think that Golem thing is a threat. It would have hurt her after she fainted, but it braught her back."
"Then why did it scare us off like that?" Dash asked as she picked up Fluttershy.
"Didn't ya hear it? It said it wanted ta be left alone." Applejack did have a point as Twilight remembered it said that before they were driven off.
"I know it said that, but what if something happens. Like some ponies are out camping, they see them and hunt them, causing them to hurt the ponies who hurt them." Pinkie said this incredibly fast and they had to take a moment to digest what she said.
"I...see your point Pinkie. I think I will hold off on the letter, at least for now. Let's wait for Fluttershy to wake up before we head back into the forest to find them."
"What's the plan when we encounter them again?" Dash asked and Twilight was about to speak but stopped. Rainbow was right. They needed to think this through carefully so, with a smile on her face, she went back to the library and looked over the M section to find 'Monsters and Myths of Equestria' to read up on.
"They won't stop." Michael sat against a wall as he shook, not just out of fear but also anger. These kids had killed him but their spirits had not moved on. He could still see their silhouettes when he opened his eyes and he could also see that puppet.
To him, every time he opened his eyes was like skipping through time. He would open them and see snow, but feel no cold which confirmed he was dead or dreaming. He didn't think he could have survived the spring lock but he kept all possible options on the table. Telling himself that the snow was part of an unconscious dream he was having as his body recovered from the springlock.
He didn't want to admit it but the more he thought on it, the more he realised that he couldn't have survived it as nobody else has. These thoughts ran through his head as he was opening and closing his eyes. Each time he did he saw angry shadows looking at him.
The outside showed different things. Snow, then the next blink showed rain, then sunlight and the same repeated and repeated. It felt like he was between sleeping and being awake. When you look back and realise you were dreaming but could feel yourself sleeping and even sometimes talking. It was like that to him.
"I did not do it." He blurted out as his eyes closed for another time.
The next thing he heard was a drilling sound and with this being a new sound, it caught his attention the most. He tried to focus and look towards the sound as the door he was facing broke.
A bright light hit him and he tried to close his eyes, but his vision only faded.
"We got one...and it looks like it still works."
"Take it as it is. It looks perfect for a horror attraction and don't do anything like open it up. With it's age we might got some use out of the way it looks before it breaks down and have to repair it."
"I don't think repairs for these things are a thing anymore."
"All the more reason we should get what we can out of it while it still works."
Michael's vision faded again and he heard a familiar sound that he recognized to be the engine of a truck. Startled, his eyes shot open and his focus came on fully. Where ever he was, it was pitch black. Moving along he tried to feel his way to an exit, but all he touched sounded like metal.
This is when he saw light outline 2 doors infront of him. Heading there, he tried to push them open, only to realized he was in a container and had no clue where he was going. Moving his hand to his face, he realised that not only can he not feel his head but he also couldn't breath.
"Is this what death is like?"

Keep in mind I am more focused on my other 2 fics. I have not abandoned this story but its not my priority. I am also having trouble trying to figure out a story for this as I seem to have forgotten the original.
