The first episode in a series of stories which tangent slightly following the conclusion of the fourth season (so some artistic licensing present). These were written as an attempt to capture the essence of the televised adventures.

In this episode, Twilight Sparkle leads her friends on an expedition to discover the secrets of the lost city of Zolantis, which has recently emerged from the seas of Equestria. Being tasked to explore an ancient domain couldn't have come at a better time for Twilight, who has been having doubts about her role as the Princess of Friendship. But the within the walls of Zolantis lies a vengeful force that seeks to destroy all she holds dear.
