Twas the Night Before Celestmas
Chapter 1: Twas the Night Before Celestmas
Twas the night before Celestmas,
and all throughout Ponyville not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The socks were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Princess Celestia would be there
The ponies were nestled all snug in their beds
With visions of apple treats all in their heads
With Spike in his little bed, and I with my unicorn cap
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap
When all through the house rang a magical clatter
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter
Away to my bedroom door I left my flat
To see what was going on in ten seconds flat
Bright colored lights shined through the library contrasted to the dark snow
With music that made the feeling to dance inside me grow
When, what to my wandering eye should appear
But fives little ponies laughing to tears
With these ponies from far different clicks
I knew that these ponies here were my friends that made my heart tick
More rapid than griffons more ponies came
Pinkie Pie yelled and whistled and called them by name
"Now Lyra, now Bon Bon, now Octavia and Vinyl,
On Cake Mr and Mrs, On Mayor, Big Mac and the rest
To the dance floor, party off the wall
Now dance away, dance away all."
We danced, we partied, who drank all the punch?
Not much sleep I would be getting was the hunch
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of a giant hoof
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down my chimney came Princess Celestia without a loud sound
There she was, as majestic as she always was
Except dressed in red, I don't know just cause?
With a bundle of presents she was levitating
Each pony grinned, anticipating
She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work
She gave all the ponies in the library a gift, and then she turned with a jerk
And with a wink in her eyes to me, her student
She rose through the chimney that wasn't made for pony intent
She rose through the air, and flew away
With all of us hoping to see her again the next day
But I heard her exclaim, here she drove out of sight
"Merry Celestmas to all, and to all a good night!"
