Snooping around can get you into trouble. So why did Pinkie Pie do it? She was bored.

The Mane 6 were having a sleepover at Twilight's castle to catch up on each of their lives. It was midnight and completely dark. Pinkie Pie couldn't fall asleep, no matter how hard she tried. Eventually, she quietly hopped off her bed and out of the room to snoop around the castle. Her hoof-steps were not heard throughout the castle as she made her way around each room and corridor. Pinkie's curiosity soon got the better of her as she sneaked into the room which contained the portal to Canterlot High. But next to it was another portal. Pinkie was pretty sure there was only one portal and was also sure that Twilight wasn't hiding anything from her friends. Pinkie gazed at the huge portal. It seemed to be made out of gemstones. And it looked so pretty! Pinkie stuck her hoof in the portal then immediately took it out. Suddenly, the portal began swaying like it was going to fall over. Pinkie tried to keep it standing up straight by pushing it, but it fell and made a loud BANG! The noise rang throughout the entire castle. Up the walls and through every corridor and room, eventually reaching the room where the Mane 6 were sleeping.

"WHO'S THERE?" Twilight Sparkle shouted.

Pinkie gasped loudly and tried to escape by running out of the room but was caught by Twilight.

"Pinkie? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Twilight screamed.

Pinkie instantly ducked back into the room and ran around like crazy. She was basically trapped. She then caught the gemstone portal in the corner of her eye. Without thinking twice, Pinkie ran, jumped and dived into the portal.

As Pinkie Pie slowly awoke, she found herself washed up on a beach. She squinted her eyes from the sudden sunlight and crawled away from the water. She weakly stood up and looked behind her. No portal.

"Oh no! The portal, it's gone! WHERE AM I?!" Pinkie yelled to no one in particular.

Pinkie Pie saw a house in the distance and somebody looking from it. The figure disappeared then began running out the house and towards Pinkie. She backed up slightly but kept her calm. When the figure reached Pinkie it was clear he was a boy.

"Oh my gosh, a pony! How did you get here?" The boy asked, cupping his face with his hands.

"I jumped into this weird kind of portal! I have no idea where I am but you're not a pony!" Pinkie said, giggling.

"Of course I'm not! I'm a crystal gem! Well, half human too." The boy replied.

"What's a crystal gem? And what's a human?"

"Well, they-- WAIT YOU'RE A TALKING PONY!"

Pinkie smiled and hugged the boy. "Of course I am, silly!"

The boy's eyes turned into stars showing that he's over the moon about seeing a talking animal.

"So..." Pinkie begins. "What's your name? I'm Pinkie Pie!"

"I'm Steven Universe, but you can just call me Steven! OH I NEED TO SHOW THE CRYSTAL GEMS THIS!" Steven exclaims, trying to drag Pinkie into his house. Pinkie lets go and begins to bounce in the direction of the house with Steven happily following behind her.

"Hi! My name is Pinkie Pie! Steven here told me that you guys were called the crystal gems or something like that, but you don't look crystal to me!" Pinkie said, bursting out laughing.

The purple gem ran up to Pinkie and started messing with her curly mane. "Wooooow, your hair is AMAZING! Look at those eyes!" she exclaimed.

The gem dressed in blue carefully studied Pinkie as if she was some strange new being. Well, in this world she was. "I've not seen anything like it. I'm not hallucinating am I? Garnet, help me out here!"

The tallest gem, who was apparently named Garnet stepped forward. "Neither have I, so I can't do anything about it." she said, staring.

"I'm not an it, silly! I'm a she!" Pinkie said in a jokingly tone.

The purple gem laughs. "Haha! She's got a sense of humour! Unlike you Pearl!"

"I DO have a sense of humour Amethyst!"

Pinkie stood there awkwardly. After a few seconds of awkward silence she became bored and started bouncing. "Hey, I forgot to ask your names! What are the crystal gems anyway?" she asks.

"Well, we're talking to a horse but... oh well. I'm Pearl."

"I'm Amethyst!"

"My name is Garnet."

"And the crystal gems are a group who fight to protect humanity! Isn't that cool?" Steven said.

"Wow! That's pretty neat! My and my friends do that to! But we're called the elements of harmony! I'm the element of laughter!" Pinkie Pie explained. Suddenly, Steven went up to Pinkie and hugged her. Pinkie wrapped her hooves around Steven, and on the front of her right hoof, she noticed some sort of gem. She lets go. "What... is this a gem? Why do I have it stuck to my hoof?"

For some reason, Pearl immediately grabbed Pinkie's hoof and started examining the blue gem. It was in the shape of a balloon, like Pinkie's element. "I can see why you're... um... an element of laughter? You've got a very bubbly personality! And a gem!" Pearl said.

"Aw, thank you!" Pinkie said. "But can you tell me where in the world I am? I kinda came through some portal and ended up on this beach."

Steven, Pearl and Amethyst looked towards Garnet for an answer. "This is Earth. Or to be more specific, this is Beach City. It's been around for over 200 hundred years. Me, Pearl and Amethyst have been around for thousands of years."  Garnet explains.

Pinkie's eyes transform into stars in amazement. "WOW! You guys are really really really REALLY old! I didn't think you could live for that long!"

"We can't die from ageing, so we can exist forever unless we get killed another way."

"Ooooooh..." another awkward silence passes for several minutes. Pinkie then begins to make her way out the home. "Well, I better get going and find some place to sleep. It doesn't seem there's another way back to my world, so I'll just go." she calmly states before opening the door. All of a sudden, Steven dashes up to Pinkie and grabs her tail, trying to tug it.

"You can stay here! Can't she? Can she, please?" Steven begs the Gems. He sounds so desperate.

Amethyst doesn't even think before speaking. "OF COURSE!"

"No! She can't stay inside!" Pearl said over the top of her. Steven and Pinkie both frown.

Steven runs up to Garnet and hugs her tightly. "Please Garnet! Let her stay!" Steven begs.

"Well... this 'Pinkie Pie' creature can stay. I gues--"

"WHAT?"

"Calm down Pearl. She will sleep with Steven and we'll sort this out."

"YEEEEEEEEEEEES!" Steven cheers, hugging Pinkie tightly. Pinkie giggles and snorts which makes Steven laugh.

"I'm surprised you let a talking pony into your house! Thanks anyway!" Pinkie said in her usual cheery tone. "Have you got any food? I'm starving!"

Pearl cringes at the sound of food, whilst Amethyst and Steven are happy to show Pinkie. Steven opens the fridge and finds that there's hardly anything there except a few eggs, two bottles of milk. All 3 frown.

"Oh well. I like eggs!" Amethyst said, taking about 3 of them out and crunching them up and swallowing them. Pearl stares at her like she's just seen the scariest thing in her life. Garnet just shakes her head.

"Let's go to the Big Donut! They have soooooooooo may delicious snacks there! Let's go!" Steven yells, hopping onto Pinkie.

"You silly billy! I don't know where it is!" Pinkie said.

Steven blushes and hops off of Pinkie and decides to lead her to the Big Donut. Pearl just stood there and sighed annoyingly whilst Amethyst burst out laughing at what they just saw.
